Integrate Angle 3D Configurator on your Online Store 2.0 Theme in your Shopify store.
hi maia from angle 3 here. so in this video i'll show you how to integrate angle 3d configurator on your online store 2.0 team. so please first make sure that you have a working 3d configurator, like this one where i can change color and do several other things. and second thing, let's open your store on in shopify admin, right, so click here and back to shopify right. once you get there, please click on online store. please make sure that you're using an online store to that o theme- uh, like this one done- which is a default online store to that other in shopify, but yours could be different. then click on customize. so the first thing we will do is show how to integrate angle 3d configurator on the product page, sorry. so here you click on product and then we will create a new template, right, so you click on create template, so we will not affect all the products on the store, only the one that we want to affect. so, with this template could be called, let's say, 3d customizer and we click on create template, right, so you see, the template is really similar to the one from shopify. so what we will first need to do is hide it. hide the default product template, right, so we click here to hide it. and second thing, we will click on add section and we will have this angle 3d product page upload. that will appear and we click on it, right, so you will see it will appear automatikally and automatikally load the product, because we are on the product page, right? so this is all you need to do. and then you click on save, right, so you see it appearing here. the next thing we want to do just go back to angle 3d configurator quickly, click on the product name, click on view product in shopify admin. so there's two things we need to make sure so all of this works. first, the product status: it needs to be set to active. second, the theme template needs to be set to 3d dash customizer, the one we just created, right? so by default it's using the default product and we will use the one we just created and click on save, right? so this is all we need to do. we just click on preview and we should see our 3d configurator appearing on the product page instead of seeing the default shopify template. so here we have everything we need, exactly like we configured it in the app. so the second thing we could show is how to integrate angle 3 configurator on any page. so, for example, let's show it on the home page. so you click here, home page this time, all right, and it will be really similar. so we click on add section right, and at the bottom we have angle through the custom page this time. so we click on it. the only thing that is different this time is that we need to select which product we want to display, you know. so we need to select a project, a product that has a 3d configurator, of course. so we click on select product and let's select the same product as before and go through the ladder bag, select, and there you go, we have exactly the same configurator that appears on the home page this time. so this is my home page. it's really basic, but this is my homepage and basically we can also move this section like any other section, right, we can put it at the top of the page. i could also change the product. you know, for example, this one that also has a 3d configurator in the app, of course. and also i will click on select. so once this is selected, i can click on save and go back to the store and go on the home page. so there you go. we have a loading uh three configurator at the top of the page. you know this is my home page, but at the top of the page we have the configurator that we actually included in the home page. so this is how you can integrate it on your online store to that pro theme. if you have any other question, please write me at support english phillyco and i'll be there to help you.

[2022 Free] Create CUSTOM PRODUCT OPTIONS on Shopify - Without the App
bonjour shopify world. my name is andrew from ecom experts dot io, and in this video i'm going to show you how you can add a product customization field- yes, or other things- to any products in your shopify store. so let's imagine a use case. let's say you're selling um shoes- or in my case it's going to be a video cameras- and you want your customers to add the ability to add some engraving to the side and basically to add their name. so you need to know that your name, your customer's name, is tom, so that you can write tom on the product. or maybe it's something completely different, um, i don't know. there's a million reasons why you would want to customize your product with user or clients generated information. and this is how we're going to do it. it's super easy. there is a follow along, there is a description in the, there is a link in the description below, not a description in the link, a link in the description below, and that link is basically going to open a document with a step by step on how to do it. so i'm going to follow that along with you and just copy paste most of the elements written inside of that document so that it's very clear and that it's as accessible for everyone watching this video. so, um, let's just jump straight into it. i'm on my store right here. it's my little demo store, and if i go to online store, let's see to make sure. yes, i have the debut team installed, um, and actually, let's see how it looks right now- our beautiful demo store. if we click on camera film, you can see there is no way for me to add any information. i can add it to cart. add it to cart. here we go, and if we look here again, there is no way of me communicating anything that i want custom engraving done. a little side note: we did say, uh, if you want a gift message, this is not what this video is about. this is not about adding a gift message or adding any type of message to the seller. we've made a video about that right here, on how you can just add a general card gift message. this is really what we're going to do right here is really, um, how to add custom information to this product. specific anyway, i'm gonna stop toking and, well, continue toking, but let's just start jump straight into it. i have the documents opened on my right here. the first thing you're going to want to do is go in online store, like i'm here, um, go on your team and click on actions and do duplicate right here. this is super important. we're going to create a backup version of our code just in case we mess up and, um, we're going to work on that backup version so we don't affect any live customers. this is. i can't underline how critikally important this is. if you mess up this step, there's chances that you're going to have to hire someone if you make an error down the line. well, if you just duplicate it, if you mess it up here, no worries, your live team is not affected at all. all, right, now that we have a duplication, the duplicate, something like that, a version that's up and running, we're going to go into the code editor. so to do that, we're going to click on actions right here and we're going to click on edit code. okay, welcome to the code editor. so i might look a little bit intimidating, but i'm going to walk you straight through it. the first thing that we want to do is we want to add a new template. so currently, what might happen is that i, in my case, want engraving on only some of my products, not on all of my products because, let's say, i sell the actual films to go into the camera. there doesn't need to be any engraving on those, just in the cameras themselves. so for that we're going to use the concept of templates, each product type. so let's say, my cameras are gonna have one product template and the camera films, where i don't need the engraving information, are gonna have another product template. so currently there is only one product template that comes with a theme out of the box. so we're going to create that second product template and we're going to do that by going to the template section right here and click on add a new template. it's going to ask us: cool, you want to. you want to add a new template? that's fine. what type of template do you want to add? you want to add an artikle, a collection? we're going to say we want to add a new product template and then they ask us: okay, how do you want to name it? and for the naming- this is where i need to take your attention- we're going to name it customizable, but what i recommend you do is you copy and paste the name from the documents. so i'm going to. i copied it from the document. i'm going to paste it right here. and the reason why is naming is extremely important. so you don't want to be a space here, you don't want there to be a space in the back, you don't want to misspell that name because we're going to refer to this name in other pieces, the code of the code throughout the website. so if you misspell it, the code isn't going to be able to find it. easiest way is just to copy paste it from the document and create the template right here. cool, it says it was created and it was saved. that's pretty awesome. next step: the next step, is to find the line of code that's called section product template, and the easiest way to do this is command f on a mac or control f on windows, oh, ctrl f or command f, and there is a little search and then you just select what's written in the document, the section product template, and you're going to paste it in right here and boom, i found it. for me it's on line 5. for you it might be online 15 or 50. i don't know. there should only be one exactly. there's only one, and basically what the code is saying is: okay, well, this is a template, and in that template. go and look for a section that is named product templates. now, the names is a bit confusing because there is a template here and we're working within the template, so the naming is not ideal, but the bottom line is that they're just saying: okay, go and look for a section that's named like this. we don't want that, because our new template that we just created isn't going to be identikal to the old one, so we're going to replace this by a section called product customizable template. again, the easiest way to do is is just to copy paste it from the code that i've provided. so you're going to select all this and you're just going to paste whatever is written in the document. so now it's saying in the code: okay, instead of going to look for the product section, product template, go look for the product customizable template. so we're going to save that right here and the plot tikets, because product customizable templates. that section doesn't exist yet, but we're going to create that. so we're going to scroll all the way down to the sections section. the naming is really confusing. i get that it could be confusing, but we're going to go to the section sections right here and we're going to add a new section. we're going to add the product customizable template section. so we're going to click on add a new section right here and it's going to ask us: okay, you want to add a new section, what do you want to call it? so then again, i'm going to copy paste it exactly from the document. we're going to call it product customizable. we're going to call it product customizable template. i'm doing the copy pasting again so that it's exactly the same, for example, here: oh, my god, here i copy pasted it, but you see there is a space here. so i want to remove that space to make sure it's exactly like in the document, perfect. and then i want to create that section. great, this is the screen that you should see now. it says it was created and was saved successfully- fantastik. and there is a whole little snippet of code here that we don't need. so easiest way to do that is you select everything and then you press delete. boom, that was the next step. now there is nothing left in this new section that we created. make sure to save it all, right? so just to recap where we are at so far is we created this product customizable template? we said within that product customizable template. hey, go and look.

Custom Product Builder For Personalized Jewelry
it sounds good. so this will be the base. now the letters: the letters. when you drag and drop them here, they will take up the whole space in the same image. but what you need to alternate ly do is you need to take the layer with the image of the, of the number or letter or whatever it is. you gotta clean it up right. here we go. so we've got a clean letter here, yeah, and now if we put it on the background, it's too big. so what we need to do is we need to scale it, put it in the location number one and then put it, leave it there. then we take the second letter that you have and we will do the same thing with it. so we will position it okay. we will clean the background from it as well, select inverse layer via copy, and here we go. we have the second letter too. so what we'll do is we will can delete the letters that we do not need right away, so that we do not get confused, because you will have, like, a lot of letters, a lot of layers. you can group them too. so now this letter. what you do is your position here as well. you scale it to fit in the same spot, right. so now we have the background, the first letter, the second letter in position number one. so after this, your what you need to do is you you disable all the layers except for the layer that you want to say. you can also create custom script for it on, like automation tools, things like that- so it has the same size as the main layer and you can see that it's. it's a big transparent image with the letter in the location where you want it. so when you are, say, are say chain, it will be in the right position. it has to grab a PNG image, because PNG keeps transparency. so after that you save it to your, to your whatever folder, and you can create, for example, Group one, position one, or position one, right, position one. then you save everything to the same folder. then you go to the second layer, do the same thing. now it will be faster. so we pretty much just save it, the letter. so this will be and that's it, and then the base layer is already the correct size. so what you do after that is, after you're done with one positioning, what you do is you select all the layers that you will have stacked up here- 30 letters or so, and then you just move all of them to the second position and then you export them one by one, again using a script or manually. that's there. I do not deny that there is manual work involved, but this is so far. yeah, yeah, without creating extraordinarily complex application, this is the best way to do it all right? so here you go and then what you do in your product page. so you will create. so, depending on how the logic will go, will, for example, so, depending on the logic, like, will you allow selecting only one position, two positions of all of three positions will be always enabled. you will set up custom conditional logic, for example in in the in this example that we showed there, all the all letters are right away available. but there is another one here where you can select the position that you're customizing. so here, for example, you can customize your skip the charms, but ultimately they're expecting you to fill in everything. right, you can select space same way or not. so all of these are just images that are overlaid on top of the belt in the exact position, in the same way I just showed you in the in Photoshop, and then here in this example, you can select how many charms you want to have. first, before you, you kind of see their positions and why they do that is because they want the first charm to be located in some specific spot. yes, they only want to allow you like. they charge you based on the amount and number of charms that you add. so if you have less chance, then it's cheaper price. more charms, more expensive price, yes, and so here is the absolutely the same thing. they did the same thing in Photoshop chain and then letter letters that are overlaid and some additional images. so let's see, on this test product that you have, let's assume that all three, all three letters will be used. so we will share our category and we will call it position one, and it will be time it can be a drop-down or image thumbnail. so if it's image thumbnail, for example, so there also is when it's. when it's a thumbnail, the easy usually is he's a full, full size and it should be exported as arranged. and when it's exported you should explore: it is hundred, three hundred pixels, for example, at max, because you don't want to use our bandwidth to load thumbnails that will be very small in size. yeah, okay, so this thumbnail will be 150 pixels, 100 pixels, you know. and so if we continue on your product, here we go edit options, new option, and then we will have one, for example. so we have only one view with you. so here we will upload the image. okay, I save it in a different folder. so number one: oh, I guess I saved it too big. yeah, so when you save it, is it as a 24 PNG? 24, it's too big. again, say PNG. okay, so the app is looking for the extension. all right, yes, so here it is. so what will happen if I upload the same image now into the thumbnail? it will just look weird. it will be a small image in the small little corner. so I will use one of your images that you sent. so this image will just go here, right, and that's it. so save at the bottom. do not click Save at the top, just rather save at the top at the end of the session. that's it. so one we click, one shows here. so we can do the same for position two and three, and then you will have icons here for each letter. so this is kinda how it can be done. instead of image thumbnails, it can be a drop-down or Tigard input. so or not. text input, but text list, so you can just have you know. yeah, yeah, makes perfect sense. thank you so much. yeah, it's very, very clear.
Custom Product Builder - Adding Monogram
all right. so you uploaded the base image. uh, the front. there are a few main parts of the app. one is settings, where you can enable different views and have a few options here to change the for default view, layout, currency, language view, controls arrows. there are a few selectors here for adding buttons for like different st. if you're gonna have some steps, you can also enable product title here, add product description- these two- they come from shopify admin panel, so from other products. then you can also add some additional product media. if you upload it to products, uh, to product section in shopify, it will show up. so i'll just enable title and description, just so that you can edit it later. now the two main parts of the app here in the admin interface are layers and forms. pretty much layers are the same forms, but because we stack images on top of each other or we stack like monograms on top of each other, so things are stacked one on another. are you familiar with photoshop? yes, so our app works pretty much similar to how photoshop layers work. you have the base layer and then you have a bunch of other layers that do different stuff and then you can connect forms with layers. layers can do different stuff. uh, and forms can feed data into layers. for example, you create a form text field and then it will feed data into a layer and you position a layer somewhere on the image and from the form it will feed the text also in the form. you can add, for example, color thumbnail and it you can connect a layer with that text to that color thumbnail category and it will change its color. and then you can create a form with fonts connected to the the same layer. you will change the font you'll. you can add a form with sizes, connect it with the layer, it will change the size of the font in that monogram. so now we will create just quickly, uh, one text field and we will so first layer, which is add. so layer and panel are the same thing. no, um, so layers are layers. uh, custom layers are what is displayed on the preview image, and panels is something that is related to the look of the right side menu where you have all the options that you can choose from. so panel is like a step can be considered or a tab. certain products may have like step one, step two, step three, step four, so that can be considered a tab, for example. so the first tab in your case will just call custom, customize. you can also just delete this title so that it doesn't show up, because sometimes people like cust, you don't need sometimes multiple tabs or multiple steps, you just need one step tab, uh, and i'll just right away show you how it will look like on the preview on your store right here. so this is a tab. right, so you have two tabs now: customize and summary. so all your customizations will go into one tab. okay, so this is the tab customize. you can edit it clicking this button. you can add a description to it. you can select a view to choose. if you have multiple views- front, back, left, etc- you can click between different tabs and it will enable different views as well. for example, it can be customized front. you click on it so it'll be customized front. you click on it, it'll be front, then it'll be customized back. click on it, you see the back side. yeah, catch you guys here. okay, all right. so now into this tab we will add first customization. customization is pretty much a category of options, option category or i don't know how better to call it, but for the lack of term, this is what we call it. so, um, we will call it. uh. currently. you're interested in adding text, so we will call it: add monogram, right, or add text. this customization will be of type: monogram field, text monogram field. see, there are a bunch of different customizations. the monogram field, i mean, i guess- yeah, that's the thing where it is text list monogram- there's a sorry text list- is a bunch of uh, small text field, uh, text options. it's usually like uh, pre-defined text, for example, you have, if you feel in pre predefined text, i love you, thank you very much, bye, bye, for example, and then the customer can click i love you. the text shows, i love you, thank you, tik shows, thank you. if you want the customer to enter some text, you use text monogram fill. if you want the customer to ext, to add a lot of text, you use long text monogram field. so currently we go with short version text, monogram field, and then you pretty much can skip most of the options here. they're more advanced uh, and most likely you don't need this at this point. so we added a category. this is the title of the category. now each category option category will have a bunch of options in it, but in, except for monogram, uh, category. monogram category will have only one option in it, so you can assign only one monogram per one category. uh, so this option will be just um, your text, for example, and you can always delete this labels and titles so that you have it blank, in case you like the way you want to show it. uh, so there are a few, a bunch of settings here. you may or may not need them, so one of them is value: uh, minimum length of the text entered. do you have any? um, i mean, sometimes with a number there's a maximum- i'm an obvious name, but really no minimum, okay, and then there is a max, right, so 100 for now. and uh, you can also add a counter, for example how many letters, and then you can add the price for this monogram. for example, adding monogram will cost how much for your case? uh, just say ten dollars. all right, ten bucks, we add here. you can also charge per character. in this case, every character entered will be adding ten bucks. now you can add weight, but not for mana monogram, apparently- and and can add a custom sku for it. and then you can also have a, like a small custom character at the end of the text. for example: uh, some customers of ours have a heart added to the end of the text, so the customer enters: i don't know, i love you. and then at the end of the text, by default, there is a heart. so we don't need any of this, so we just save it. so now we have a field that charges ten bucks in forms. so we have tab customize category and monogram field. one field per monogram category and that's it. this is this part. we click save, just to make sure we don't lose anything. and then we move to layers. under layers, we create a custom layer, we double click on it and we have a blue box here. this is the box where the text will appear. so we, we call it, we call it in: uh, your monogram, so text, yeah, your ad. yeah, monogram, monogram field, right, yeah, whichever monogram text, that text. so this is just the title of this box for you not to lose it later you can add more details to it, for example, front view, so that you know where it is if you have multiple views. and then you can have: yeah, all right. and then, uh, the type for this custom layer will be text. so the text layer. here it goes, and then the view is front, and then we don't really need panel to select, but we'll just choose, customize. you can also have a default text, for example, uh, i don't know what type of text would be uh difficult for you to customize here, or customize it, or something like that. personalize it, okay, and then this is the text, right here, you see it. and then we move on to advanced tab here, advanced tab and one. then we choose the font size, for example 20 pixels, and then you, so by default, you can have the font, one font selected. i'll just use i don't know this one just as an example: font family. but you can also pull the font from a category, from forms. so if you choose this, then you need to add a source. so what is a source? again, under forms, you will create a drop, a drop down with fonts, and then you will connect this layer to that panel, to that category, with that, with that, uh up with those options of fonts. so what, what is? i'll show you a little later. we'll return back to that when we go to forms. for now, we'll just set one font in one size and then it will be always upper case, for example, you can also unselect it, and then you can certain fonts have different variations, too bold, italic, etc. text wrap. text wrap means that the text will.
Create CUSTOM PRODUCT OPTIONS on Shopify 2.0 Dawn Theme - Without the App for FREE
bonjour, bonjour. so in this video i'm going to show you how you can add your own custom options to a shopify product page, to any shopify product page. it's pretty simple. we already made a video about this, but it was for the debut team. so now we're making an updated video for the dawn team and actually with this video, i partnered with hey carson. they specialize in small jobs just like this, so if you have any issues, reach out to them. they'll do it for a small fee and they kind of help me with the code here, because that was running short in time. so, anyway, let's just jump straight into it. all right, so we are on our back end here and the first thing we're going to do is we're going to go to online store and themes, obviously, because that's what we will be modifying. i still have my debut team live here, but i have a updated copy of the dawn team, because you know i'm i'm jigging with it. it's 20: 22.. you need to get that dawn team, okay? so the first thing we're going to do, we are going to duplicate this. the reason why is we're going to be playing inside the code and if you make an error inside of it, you can't really revert it or it's pretty hard. well, if you have a duplicate version, you just delete the version where you have an error on. i still see in the comments people that skip this step and you're in big trouble when that happens. so make sure to do a copy. that way you can mess up the copy as much as you want while this is loading. it's important to know that i actually partnered with hey carson for this video. they specialize in small jobs, which we don't do at our agency, and so if you're running into any issues, you can reach out to them and for a small fee, they will actually help you set up your product options. if, for some reason, this wouldn't work, you can also ask comments. um, ask in the comments below. ask comments in the comments below. just ask in the comments below and, you know, maybe other shopify people will help you out or, if i have some time, i'll be glad to answer any questions. this is taking longer than i expected. you'll find the entire code and the link down below, so in case you just don't want to- you know type- you can just go to the link down below. okay, so once we have that duplicate, we are going to go to customize and we are going to create a second product template. the reason is, you know, you might not want your customer product options to be on every single product page. your necklace that you're selling might have custom engravers, so you need those custom product options on there. but you know the shoes that you sell don't, so you want to keep that on the regular template that you currently have, and with don, we can actually just create a template directly in the customizer, which is kind of kind of cool. so in order to create that new template, we're just gonna go to the home page right here and we're gonna go to products and then there's going to be an option to create a new template and we're gonna name this custom custom. that way, we have, um, our custom template. it also asks us: hey, what template do you want to base this on? we only have one current product template, so it's going to be the default. if you have multiple with different designs or layouts, you can choose the one that fits you best. so we're going to create that template. all right, now we have to modify the code for that template, okay, so we're going to go back now and pop up up. we're going to click on actions on the same where we just duplicated it, and we're going to go to edit code. so now becomes the real coding again. if you don't want to type along, just link in the description below has the exact code. we're going to type in products right here and it's going to be main product section. this is where we're going to add our code. once you have that open, you are going to look for your product form. now what is the product form? and let me see if i can show it to you. the product form is that little. you know area right here. um, let me show you. this is the product form. you know it's tiknically a form because there is a submit button. we call it a buy now button in e-commerce. but this is a product form and we want to add our product options, the custom options that you're going to code. we want to add them somewhere in here. so we got to find this section on um. you know, in the code for that we do control find and we type in form: uh, command find and then f control find. on windows it is not that form that we want, okay, so we're looking for form and it is actually right here in the updated version. as you know, line 419 i think. in the previous down version it was line four five. uh, it really changes. if you made any customization it can be a completely different line, but what it basically says is: here it's the form with the product id. so this is the section we are looking for. so, between the definition of form and the input, we're gonna, you know, create a couple of spaces. as you know, spacing doesn't matter. so the next step would be to show the actual custom- you know, code section where you require your client's input. now, again, you don't want to show this on every single page, so we have to give the code a way to say: well, which template are we currently looking at? that's why we're going to write an if statement that says: well, if it is the template called custom template, which we created a little bit earlier in this video, then show the custom codes that we will create. if not, just ignore this section and keep going, because there doesn't need to be any custom code. so i have already written this and well, actually the team at a carson has already written this and so i'm just going to copy and paste it again. you can find more information about that down below. and if you're stuck, they do it for you for a small fee and they're really good at it. okay, just one quick note again. this says: if the product dash template suffix is equal to, and in the code it might say i might already have changed it, but it says customizable. this is the title of how we named our new template. a little bit earlier now i named it custom. you remember, if you go back into this video, we created a new template and i called it custom. you can see it here. by the way, if you had called it custom product- that's absolutely awesome- then you have to write here between the brackets: custom product, that's absolutely awesome. so this is the name of your template. and then of course, we close our if statements with an end if good procedure is to save, and then the next step would be to actually have the code for the customizer. so you know, do you want a form, do you want a button? that's kind of up to you, and for that we're going to go to the link again in the description down below and you can kind of set your, decide what you want. so i want a text short. i want a text long. you know, i want them to write their initials, i want them to write a love letter that i can print on a, on a t-shirt, i don't know. i want radio buttons, i want a drop down selection or i want a check box. those are kind of your options and you can, you know, name your form fields. you can do the options because i did radio buttons, so i can do blue, red and green like that, with a comma, and i can decide whether or not this is required for checkout, yes or no. that's kind of up to you. sure, let's make it required and whatever you choose, whatever combination you choose here, you're going to see that right here it generates a specific piece of code and that's the piece of code that we need. so i'm going to copy this right here and obviously put it in our code. now, back in the code, you're going to realize that, as i said earlier, we are checking whether or not the name of the template that code is currently loading is called custom, and if it is, then we're not really doing anything. it's just blank and we just say: well, if it is, ends the if and if it's not. and the if as well. so the code that we have just gotten right here, we need to add that, and we need to add that between our if statement. so i'm going to paste that right here. boom now i person.
