remove all ads from chrome

Published on: August 5 2023 by pipiads

Hey guys, in this video, I'm gonna show you how to disable those annoying pop-up ads on your Chrome browser. Let's dive right in and take a look at the problem first. So, before disabling the pop-ups, I'm on this website called Pop-up Test where I'm gonna test the pop-ups. So, let's click on Multi Pop-up Test and check out the issue. As you can see, when I click on the pop-up test, it bombards me with multiple pop-up windows. That's the problem you might be facing too if you haven't disabled these pesky pop-ups. Let's close all the pop-ups for now and find a solution to this problem.

To start, click on the three dots on your Chrome browser, then select Settings. Here, you'll find a bunch of options. What you need to do is go to Advanced Settings and then navigate to the Privacy and Security settings. If you don't see Privacy and Security in this window, you can always find it on the left-hand side. Alternatively, you can search for it directly in the search bar. Once you're in the Privacy and Security settings, click on Site Settings.

In the Site Settings, you'll find a plethora of options. What you need to do is click on Notifications. By default, you'll see a list of websites that are allowed to send you notifications. You might want to remove all the websites listed here under Allow. If you allow websites to send you notifications, they'll keep bombarding you with pop-ups. You can choose to allow notifications from Google websites, but for all other websites, make sure to remove them from this section. Ideally, you should see no websites added under Allow. If you don't want to receive any notifications at all, simply unselect the button.

Once you've disabled the notifications, they won't pop up on your Chrome browser anymore. Now, let's move on to the next setting, which is Pop-ups and Redirects. Click on this option, and you'll see the settings for pop-ups and redirects. You might want to block them completely. Currently, you can see that it's blocked, and that's the recommended setting. If you want to allow pop-ups, you can adjust the settings accordingly. But in your case, to get rid of all those pesky pop-ups on your Chrome browser, make sure it's set to Blocked and Recommended.

If you see any websites listed under Allow, make sure to remove them as well, especially if you don't recognize the website. For example, I see the Pop-up Test website, which I had opened earlier to show you the pop-ups. I'll simply remove it from the Allow section. Now, when I go back to the website and click on the pop-up test again, you'll notice that the pop-ups no longer appear. You'll also see a notification saying that pop-ups were blocked on this page.

And there you have it! After following all the settings I've shown you, your pop-ups will be blocked for the chosen website. If you don't see any websites listed under Allow, all pop-ups and notifications will be blocked on your Chrome browser. This is how you can disable those annoying pop-up ads on your Chrome browser. I hope you've found this video helpful, and I'll catch you in the next one!

How to remove Popup ads from Android Mobile | 100% Free | No tools Required

Hey friends, it's Abhishek from Tech Matters, and in this video, I'll be showing you how to easily remove malware or adware from your Android phone. It's super easy and doesn't require any software or antivirus. You can do it right through your phone's settings.

But first, let me show you the kind of ads I'm talking about. These annoying pop-up ads keep appearing on your screen while browsing Facebook or watching YouTube. They have a cross sign to close them, but they're really irritating. Plus, these ads are actually coming from Google Adsense.

Now, let's get rid of them. Just follow a few simple steps. Go to your phone's settings and find the accounts section. Inside your Google account settings, go to personal info and privacy. From there, go to add settings.

When you click on add settings, it will open a browser with your account's add settings. Here, you'll see an option for add personalization. Switch it off. A pop-up will appear, and you just need to click on Turn Off. It says that by turning off personalization, you'll still see ads, but they'll be less useful. Trust me, I turned it off, and ads stopped appearing on my phone.

After turning it off, click on Visit Ad Choices. This will load another page showing the ads you have enabled on your phone. Uncheck all the ads or websites from where you're getting these ads. It might take some time to load, so make sure you have a good internet connection.

Once the status check is completed, you'll see a pop-up showing the status of your opting out option. Normally, your browser is enabled for all 128 companies tied up with Google Adsense. But you need to opt out of all of them. Click on continue.

You'll see a list of companies customizing ads for your browser. Choose all companies and click on Make Your Choices. It will request these websites to not send ads to your phone. You'll see a message saying opt out completed successfully, but it might not work for a couple of companies.

Click on continue again, and you'll see the remaining number of companies that can still send ads to your phone. It will be significantly less compared to before. Make sure to go back or hit the home button, then restart your phone.

After restarting, those annoying pop-up ads will be gone. You won't receive them from Google anymore.
