WATCH THIS BEFORE BUYING SHOPIFY! (Honest Review) - Shopify Review 2023
shopify review. so what's going on, guys? in today's video, i'm gonna be going over shopify, um, what it's all about, going over everything you need to know about the platform and, most importantly, actually giving you a live walkthrough, in a live demo, of what's inside the membership area and when you can actually deal with the shopify tools. so, without further ado, guys, make sure, watch this video till the end so i can give you a file review and, most importantly, you know, help you make an informed decision to see if shopify is going to be right for you and your business. so, um, without being said, guys, let's begin today's video and go over everything we need to know about shopify that you know a lot of other people aren't telling you. so, yeah, let's begin today's video, all right? so, as you can see on screen, we are on my computer and, yeah, let's begin today's shopify review video together. so the first thing i wanted to address in today's review video is how easy it is to use shopify like. is it actually really easy for the average person, who's a complete beginner at possibly making money online or building a website, to create their own beautiful shopify website, and is it going to be ideal for advanced users as well. so what i wanted to do is actually show you first hand what shopify is like when it comes to customizing your website. okay, so in my last video on shopify, i made a 10 minute tutorial creating a website like this and, as you can see, it looks pretty nice, especially considering it only took like 5-10 minutes to actually create. so i'll leave a link down below in the video description if you want to check out the tutorial on how you can actually create a website in 10 minutes. but you know, to give you a live walkthrough right here on how i actually did it, it's actually pretty simple for beginners to create a website, um. so that's the big pro actually, if you're looking to use shopify to create a money making store in a money-making website where you sell products and services to people, because it just makes it really easy to do so. so, as you can see, for example, in this um website i created right here, we have a nice home page right here with like a slideshow of like various different images of jet skis. so in this example, i actually made a demo store, um, pretending to sell just game gear right and down below we do actually have like a you know- example product right here selling jet ski life jackets and people can actually go ahead and, you know, add this product to the car and buy it now. so it's pretty simple to do and it's very user friendly, especially for beginners. if you want to create a beautiful, good-looking store that converts into sales for you and makes you money, right, so that's the whole purpose of like a shopify store: to like make you money while you sleep, so to speak, and to actually create a brand and something that's going to be an asset in the long term. right, and shopify allows you to do that. even if you're a brand new beginner. for those advanced users watching this video, you can actually use your web design skills and do some advanced stuff with shopify as well. um, that's always an option, but again, you know this is going to be great for beginners as well, especially for beginners, because you can just customize your website so easily. so, for example, if we scroll down below, let's just say i wanted to like move this subscribe to our newsletter on call to action to the very top or in the middle. i can just simply just drag this. as you can see, i'm dragging around here and i can drag it to the very top and now people can subscribe to our newsletter at the very top and that will appear at the top of the website and normally, if you were doing that on any other platform or just in general, require a lot of coding. to be honest, it's just not that simple and easy to just simply drag and drop like elements and sections on the page to your liking, as i'm doing right here on screen. and that's the cool thing about shopify: you can basically add different sections right here which are building blocks of your website pages, which make them look good, you know. so, um, as you can see, add section, we can add a blog post, we can add a collection list, feature, collection, featured product, a map as well if your store is a physical address, video, custom html as well if you want to, like you know, do some advanced stuff. so, right off the bat, shopify is a really simple platform to use if you want to customize and build your own money making shopify app, and you can easily go inside of the user interface, inside of your shopify dashboard right here, and you can create products right here. you can add a product. so, for example, i added a product here for jet skiing. it's very simple to create a product. you can just add a product right here that you want to sell. you can just fill this information out. again, i made a tutorial going over just a bit more detail. it's very simple to do. you can add a product. so another thing i wanted to go over in this review video for you is the themes themselves, because the reason why i was able to make a beautiful, high converting website like this inside of shopify fast and easily is because there's a bunch of things we can choose from. and if we go inside of our shopify dashboard right here, if we go over here to online store on the left hand side and if we go over here to themes, we can choose from a variety of different free themes. a lot of these themes are done for you, so all you have to do is just import the themes, customize the themes to your own brand, like i did here for this example website right here. all i did was just modify the text, add a couple images, add my own products and, just you know, modify everything. and again, this is a very simple website. you can make like an even better shopify store if you just put in, like an extra like 20 minutes of work. again, i just did this in 10 minutes. so, um, you could definitely make an even better store than this, but, as you can see right here, shopify has a bunch of high quality themes you can take advantage of and literally it's basically all done for you. it just makes building a store and a lucrative store right off the bat that i've proven to convert and make sales for you- just ten times more easier, right? so there's plenty of themes you can choose from. now there are some paid themes, but honestly, i'll just recommend starting off with the free themes, because you'll save a bunch of money that way. and, to be frankly honest with you, even with the paid themes, they're not that much different. really. they do have a few more different features and functionalities depending on the paid theme you obviously purchased, but in general, i'd probably just recommend a free theme. so, for example, he's like adventure, he's boundless. i'm just going over some like example themes you can like see up right off the bat, and if we click on new demo for this theme right here, so, as you can see, this theme looks really nice. it's obviously for snowboarding by the looks of things, so it looks really, really high quality. um, here's another example theme, so click on view demo. this is a theme for i'm cloving around here, which looks pretty nice. so again, there's plenty of free themes you can take advantage of. like you can literally import this theme inside of your shopify account, customize it to your own brand and you can start selling your products out there in the marketplace as soon as possible. so i really like the fact that you can just import a bunch of shopify themes and just leverage them right off the bat. that's what makes shopify really attractive. it's probably the reason why i've heard like a lot of buzz about it. so so far in today's video we've covered that we can use a bunch of themes right off the bat to get our shopify store up running asap. we've obviously learned that customizing those themes inside of shopify is really really simple and easy to do. we've also learned that if you're an advanced user, you can obviously customize and, you know, add some code to your shopify store.
Shopify Review 2021 - Is it still worth it in 2021?
hey, what's up. my name is Chris winter and welcome to my in-depth Shopify review for this year. now in this video, I want to go through some of the pros and also, more importantly, some of the cons of Shopify, so hopefully you can figure out whether it's going to be the right platform for you to sell your own things. and also, guys, I've got a little present for you for watching this video. I'll put a link to the 25 best FREE Shopify apps that you need to add to your next Shopify store. these can really help increase the amount of sales and money that you can make from your store. that list is totally free and if you want to get it, I'll put a link right underneath this video and you can check it out. but anyway, let's jump in to this review of Shopify. so the first thing that I want to tok about is the ease of use of Shopify and whether or not it's easy to use or it's difficult, especially if you're a beginner or just like a business owner and you don't really know a lot of tiknical coding and things like that. well, the good thing is, I think Shopify is incredibly easy to use, even if you aren't tiknical, even if you don't know coding like CSS, JavaScript, all of that kind of stuff- you can generally get your website store looking pretty good pretty quickly. so now I'm able to get a Shopify website up and running within around about 30 minutes because of the power of themes- and we'll tok about themes a little bit more in this review coming up- but Shopify has essentially these themes which allow you to brand your website or design your website without having to- you know- pretty much any coding. now, the other great thing about Shopify is that they also have a thing called sections, and essentially what sections allow you to do is move content in different spots and add different pieces of content without having to hard code that in. so, for example, if you wanted to have a map on your home page, you can easily just add that in. or if you want to have a- you know- a section with text and an image, they've already created sections, and this is one of the great things about Shopify. now, if you do want to code into your in your website, if you do know about web development, things like that, they do have a programming language called liquid and it's actually really powerful. so if you do know about coding, Shopify can definitely work and that's one of the great things about Shopify is that it's definitely scalable and it's easy. if you want to start as a small little creator who doesn't know anything about Web Design, all the way up to if you really, I have a robust store with very- you know- validated code and things like that, it works really really well. hey guys, if you're enjoying this review, I'd love it if you leave a thumbs up, cuz that's always appreciate it. now did briefly just touch on themes and I wanted to tok about these, because this is what I really find is so powerful about Shopify and it's actually the reason why I used samba fire as a website builder for me, not just for e-commerce. so the shop- if I have a Shopify theme store, which is essentially a place where you can go and buy a themes or download them, because they do also have a number of free themes. so if you take a look right here, you can see that this is their Shopify theme store and they have a number of different things which you can download. some are free, some are paid. there's not a massive difference between the free and paid themes. you just gonna be getting maybe a little bit more functionality, a different design, but I find that some of their free themes are really, really good. so, for example, I love the Brooklyn theme and this is what I generally make all of my tutorials on, and the reason why I love it is because it's very quick, it's very nice and it looks fantastik. you wouldn't expect to have a free theme that looks this good. so you can see, we have this large hero image at the top here. with this menu, we've got these different sections, which is what I was toking about before. sections are great in Shopify and this, for example, is a category section and you can have your featured products and it's just so easy to make. now, you might think this is really difficult to make, but you can pretty much get a website up and running like this in under about 10 minutes. now, I actually made a Shopify tutorial that I can link to in the description box below, where I get our website up in 10 minutes if you want to do that. but what I really just wanted to tok about is just how nice the things are. so, for example, we have this theme here. this is called the streamline theme. as you can see, this is an incredibly good-looking theme. you've got your products coming in with these nice animations. you've got really nice fonts. you can even have different slideshows- again different sections- coming in, and you can even have different things like videos as well, playing in your whole theme. and this is that map kind of section that I was toking to you about. you can have a full-on map right here. but what I really like is that this looks super nice for just a thing that you would just essentially go add to your shop and it's really really easy to do. so you can. I'll just take a look at a product here and you can see that it's really quick to load as well. Shopify is incredibly quick to load. they have all of these different, you know, features like nice reviews, pricing and all of this stuff is really amazing. and one of the great things about Shopify is that the themes are getting better and better. like I said before, this was the Brooklyn theme and this was a really big and theme for a long time. a lot of people use it, but now we're getting themes such as this one right here, the streamlined theme, which is just really pushing the boundaries, and it is a fantastik way to get your shop up and running and one of my favorite things about Shopify is that they have a free trial and it's a 14-day free trial, but generally you can get that extended to 30 days if you just contact customer care and say, hey, I need a bit more time to get my store set up. but, like I said before, you can really test out all of the features and that's probably one of the best things about the free trial is you don't need to put any credit card details in at all. so what I will often do is, if I have a brain wave of starting up a new business or selling a product or something like that, or if I just want to go in and design a website, I'll often just create a Shopify store with their free trial, because you don't have to put any credit card details in and I'll just start designing. I'll try out different things and one of the great things is you can actually use paid themes as your design before even buying those paid themes. so if you go in with your free trial- this is what I often do- I'll test out those things, make sure they're really good, before I'm gonna invest, you know, a hundred dollars into buying a theme, and this is probably one of the best things. so there have been, you know, maybe like five different Shopify sites that I have had a free trial with and I never followed through with them because I figured I it didn't work out in the end. but it is actually really nice that you can have a free trial with Shopify. test out which templates look good, show it to your friends with a password-protected kind of site. so that's the great thing with your free trial: none can see it, but you can send out a password so people can check it out and have a look. test it out beforehand and it's great because you don't actually have to put any money upfront to get it started. another incredibly powerful part of Shopify is their app store. so if you don't know what an app store is, it's essentially similar to what you would have on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store, and it's a way of adding a lot of functionality to your website by external developers. so they will create an app or like a plug-in kind of that you add to your apps out to your website. so, for example, if you need, like, an Instagram feed or something like that, so you want t.
How To Add Customer Reviews To Shopify (2022)
hey guys, evan, here, in this video i'm going to show you how you can add customer reviews to your shopify store. customer reviews are very important and they are very useful in helping you generate more sales, because people like to see social proof before they go ahead and buy a product and if they see that other people are leaving positive reviews, that can greatly increase your chance of actually selling your product on your shopify store. so the way we can add customer reviews to our shopify store is by going to our shopify dashboard and we want to click on the left hand side where it says apps. it's going to take us to the apps page and what we want to do is go to the top where we see the search bar and we want to search for product reviews, and we're gonna see this under the app section where it says product reviews app. let's go ahead and click on that and, as you can see, it's a product reviews application by shopify themselves, so that you know that this is going to integrate into shopify easily. we can see that this is exactly what this is going to look like under the reviews tab here, so you can see all of your reviews in the table form like this. you can also reply to specific reviews. so when someone leaves a review on your shopify store, you can go ahead and give a response to that. so maybe they really enjoyed your product, so you can give a thanks to them. and that's also very useful in helping you generate more sales, because when they see that you're responsive, whether or not they leave a good or bad review, if you're responsive, then people appreciate that more, as opposed to just having a bad review left on your site and giving absolutely no response to that. so basically you get the idea it'll help build trust to the person that maybe wants to buy a product from your store and so basically the customer reviews show up right below your product here or you can place them wherever you want, but basically they'll show up like this. they'll be star ratings and people can leave a response under that star rating as well. you can also control which reviews show up on your stores. so if someone leaves a review that is not accurate or that you think is misleading, you can go ahead and choose to hide that review if you want. and i'm not saying that you should remove bad reviews. if someone does leave a bad review, you should just leave it up because, again, if you are genuinely selling a good product, you're gonna get those five star reviews anyway. because if you just have a shopify store that is just five star reviews all across the board, people are going to look at that and they're not going to trust that because that looks pretty fake. i don't think there's any product on amazon that has completely five-star reviews across the board. so you don't just want to remove all your bad reviews, but there is that option available to you if there was a circumstance where you needed to use it. so, again, if you want to add this app, you can click on where it says add app and basically it's going to verify that you want to link this app to your store and this app is made by shopify themselves. so this app is completely trustworthy. you can go ahead and click on where it says install app on the top right here and we can see that it says: now that you've installed the product reviews app, you can add product reviews and ratings to your online store. so what we want to do now is go to the left hand side here and click on our online store and click on where it says themes. then let's click on where it says customize. once we have our theme editor open, we want to go to our catalog. let's just select this basic product i created here, which is a t-shirt, and let's say we want to add reviews right under this product. what we can do is go under the product information on the left hand side here and we want to click on where it says add block. then we want to scroll down and click on the reviews under the apps here and right here we can see now that it says customer reviews. so this is where the customer reviews are going to show up once people actually start writing a review. so if you click on where it says write a review and let's just say their name is bob and let's just type in an email, say we want to give this a 4 star rating, let's just say great t-shirt and let's just say i really liked this t-shirt and click on where it says submit review, if we go ahead and refresh the page, we can now see that it's going to show up right under the customer reviews. we can see that there's a total of one review and it's the test review that we just created right here. so this is how it's gonna show up on your site when people actually give this product a review. and if we go ahead and click on save at the top right, it's gonna go ahead and save that page and we can go back to our main dashboard. and if we go back to the left-hand sidebar here and click on apps, let's click on where it says product reviews, right here and now we can see that test review that we just created right here. so what we can do is we can see when this review was created, which was april 19th, which is today, and then we can also see the status, which is published, which means that this review is currently public. if we go up to the top left here and click on settings, so at the top here, we can see that it's set to auto publish, which means that new reviews are checked for spam and then they're automatikally published to the website. now, if you want to disable this, you can go ahead and click on where it says disable, which means that you must manually publish all the reviews that are made on the website. you can also have an option to send an email when a review is submitted to your site, so you'll receive an email in your inbox whenever someone leaves a review on your website. you can change the star icon colors so you can either use your theme color or you can use a custom color if you want. just be aware that these are for vintage themes only and they will have no effect on the 2.0 themes for shopify. and, of course, you can modify how your review listing layout looks on your website if you want. you can change the border color, you can change the divider color, the padding and the amount of reviews that appear per page. you can modify the review listing text, so you can change all this text if you want. and you can also modify the review form as well. and here you can modify the batch text. but again, this has no effect on online stores in the 2.0 themes, so just keep that in mind. but if everything looks good, you can go ahead and click on where it says save. it's going to save all those changes for you. and then, going back to the product reviews, if we want to select this test review that we just created and we want to delete it, what we can do is make sure that this is checked, click on bulk actions and click on delete selected reviews. anyway, that is how to add customer reviews to your shopify web store. i hope this video helped you guys out. if it did, please leave a like. but that's going to do it for this video. thanks so much for watching and i hope this helped you out.

Now that your account is made and your template looks great. the next question is: What can I sell on Shopify? Well, for starters, you can provide your customers with Handcrafted goods, Beauty supplies, Home goods, Outdoors gear, Clothing, Digital products, Online classes, Events, Gift Cards, eBooks And much more. But even with its great versatility, Shopify might still not be for everyone. Like with everything, it’s always important to weigh the Pros and Cons before making a decision. First off, The Pros: Easy To Use. - Low Startup Cost. - Beautiful Themes. - Good For Dropshipping. - Lots Of Support Options. The Cons: Limited Functionality. - Costly Add-Ons. - Transaction Fees - Strained Customer Support. If Shopify still sounds like a great option for your business, you’re probably now wondering How to use Shopify. Well, there are 7 basic ways for you to get the most out of your Shopify subscription, and we’ve broken them down for you right here. 1 - Starting with #1: Look into Shopify payments. If you choose to use Shopify’s in-house payment processor, Shopify Payments, you can actually have the transaction fees waived. You can write, edit and publish blog posts right in your admin panel, allowing your customers to get to know YOU a little better. However, while Shopify’s blogging capabilities make it stand out amongst the rest, I should warn you that its features are pretty basic. How To Add Reviews to Shopify From AliExpress
hey, what is up guys? it's Brennan here, and today I'm going to be showing you how to add reviews to Shopify from AliExpress, exactly step by step, how to go about doing that so that you can show more social proof on your online store when it comes to doing, say, Shopify Drop Shipping. importing AliExpress reviews is a great way to do that. now, if you don't already have a Shopify store, I do want to mention that. first, link down in the description box below, brambleeskicom Shopify. we'll take you right over to a Shopify free trial if you are a brand new beginner. you don't already have a Shopify store. now, without further Ado, let's go ahead and dive into the tutorial. so first things first, you're going to want to make sure you are logged into your Shopify dashboard on your Shopify home. next, you're going to come over here to apps and you're going to want to search for judge dot me. now I will include a link down in the description box below as well for this specific app. they do have a free plan as well to add those AliExpress reviews. now you're going to want to make sure that you install both the product reviews app for judgeme as well as the AliExpress reviews app from judgeme so that it works for importing those AliExpress reviews. so first we're going to go ahead and add judgeme, we're going to go ahead and add that app here and then it will continue to bring up this page once it loads, as you can see here, judgeme product reviews and you can easily add this to your store. just click install app and then it will bring up this page here on your Shopify dashboard. as you can see, you have judgeme installed for product reviews. you can see you can manage your views, uh, send review status, as well as different templates. now, depending on what you want. of course, they do have a free plan. so for now, on the live theme, we're just gonna go with that. we're going to click next and, as you can see here, we're going to set that up on all the widgets and make sure that those are all added automatikally, and judgeme walks you through this step by step as well here, as you can see, to set up the review so that they look properly on your website. so we're going to go ahead and click here to just make sure that it was installed properly and, as you can see here, it shows up with the reviews. so there's currently no reviews on this product. of course, customers can easily click writer review as well. this is super easy if you just want product reviews. but we're going to be going through as well how to import those AliExpress reviews, of course, into your store. so, as you can see, we have judgeme and I have reviews to import and boom, bring your reviews. so if you're an AliExpress drop shipper, so we're going to import from AliExpress, we're going to go ahead and then click input, add the AliExpress importer. then we're going to click add app. so this is great if you- even just if you wanted regular reviews on your Shopify store as well, of course- if you want those AliExpress reviews, then you just click install app and then that will add the AliExpress part. I'm just going to re-log in, make sure that we're all good to go and boom, then you have the AliExpress review importer. now you're going to want to make sure, of course, that you have already imported your Drop Shipping products from AliExpress before you go about trying to add the reviews. so if you haven't already added your products, then I do have a link below in the description as well on how to import the AliExpress product themselves. but before you add the reviews you're going to want to make sure you already have those products imported. so, as you can see here, you can also customize, like Star colors, logos, and add views, review videos. but we're just going to skip that for now, uh, since we don't really need that. so, Alex, first review of hoarder. you know, helps you import reviews. so we've already got judgeme, so we're good there, and then we're gonna go ahead and click Start importing, so ready to begin importing. then all you have to do is click this button here: import reviews from AliExpress. so, like I said, you do need to make sure you already have your Shopify product imported from AliExpress. now you do have a few different options here as well. as far as do you want certain countries imported, if you, maybe, if you just want reviews from the US- that's another key thing here- especially as well as English, English translation, uh, you can also have set up as well as: hey, maybe they need to have uh pictures or making sure they at least have some written content. you don't just want necessarily just a star rating, you know. you want actual written information to show. uh, you know, additional social proof. so those are the settings and filters that you can edit here as well. so next, we're going to go ahead and get that URL. so, first things. first, you're going to want to make sure you go to Shopify again, make sure that your products are already imported. so this is the product that we're going to be importing those reviews to. so I'm just going to go ahead and click on copy to copy the URL from Shopify. then we're just going to go here, or actually you can just type search for the product name. so this one would be the cat brush, so cat brush and boom, so you can actually search through your products as well, but it's good to test and make sure that the the product is actually live on your site as well. and then to get the AliExpress URL, we're going to go ahead and copy the URL from AliExpress so that we can import the reviews that you see here now. some of them are just text, some of them have photos. so that's what we want, of course, those nice customer photos to make sure to show off the product. um, you know, this one I really like, just because that's more like a natural pose, just, you know, in someone's room, just nice and cool. so then we're going to go back over to here and we're going to paste in the AliExpress URL. so make sure you have those both selected and then you just go ahead and click import reviews. now, this can take a couple of minutes, of course, to import those reviews. you can do multiples of them now. so we're going to go back to the home page and it does take a minute. so we're gonna go ahead and go over to the product on our Shopify store, go ahead and refresh it and, as you can see, 15 reviews- that one was pretty quick to import and boom, as you can see here, we have our reviews imported and I I like this image. this is nice, you know, showing you the size of the product, which is cool. uh, you know very clean UI. you know you can go in and edit these colors in the settings for judgeme if you want to. but boom, as you can see here, you have your AliExpress reviews imported. I really like these images. you know they do a generally a good job of filtering things if you just use the default settings with judgeme to get your product reviews imported. so yeah, guys, that is really the gist of how you go about doing this as well on your Shopify store, you know, if you do want to import multiple reviews, you can do that as well, and, once again, they do have their free plan, uh. so you know, if you just want things basic, like I showed you in the tutorial today, then that is forever free, which is super nice because I know a lot of the other AliExpress review importers are paid plans, so it's nice that judgeme does have a free option for people just looking for something basic to import some reviews to their store for social proof. they do, of course, have a paid plan as well. if you want more custom settings, q a, uh, coupons or sending out you know no branding as well, maybe. if you want more, you know custom features, then the paid plan is still pretty reasonable, especially compared to a lot of the other more expensive options out there when it comes to adding product reviews to your Shopify store. so, guys, you know that is really the gist of how you do it. I think it looks pretty nice, you know you have your reviews, people can take a look at it, get some images. it's good social proof as well, uh, and, and you also have the ability to have
Shopify vs Squarespace Review 2022 - Pros and Cons you should know!
if you ever wanted to open an online shop, the names shopify or squarespace should be very familiar. yeah, these two are probably the most popular ecommerce website builders in the current market, but which provider is the one for your next webshop? well, i spent the last few months testing both providers and i have some juicy takes, so follow me along in this shopify vs squarespace review. [Music]. let's look at what squarespace versus shopify offers in a bit more detail. first, the good news: both providers offer you a way to test out their platforms without even spending a cent. surprisingly, both have the same 14-day trial deal. but this isn't a free plan, meaning you can't publish a website without upgrading to a premium plan. shopify versus squarespace commerce plans are a bit different. first, shopify is only for e-commerce, meaning every plan here has all the tools you'll need to thrive. shopify usually starts from around the 30 a month, which, for unlimited storage, space and bandwidth, is a really fair price. but it recently started offering the first year with a 50 discount, so you can start here for only 15 a month. i'm not gonna lie: this is an impressive deal. sure, your price will jump back after renewal, but it still saves you around 180 dollars. so what is the actual difference between shopify plans? advanced tools like reporting or analytiks, lower fees for transactions and more locations, as well as staff accounts. squarespace ecommerce options start from the second ecommerce plan, since the first one is only for simple websites. every plan here has unlimited storage, space and bandwidth. however, it throws in a free domain name for one year. the cheapest you can start selling here is 23 a month, so it's more expensive than shopify to start, but after renewals it becomes a bit cheaper. so what's the difference between the more expensive plants? kinda a lot. a few really useful tools, even for small stores, are locked behind a better plan. these include abandoned cart recovery, advanced shipping and subscription selling. to summarize, shopify versus squarespace pricing: both platforms offer very similar packages in pricing features. shopify has the lite plan, which is a really good option for beginners, while squarespace offers lower transaction fees and a free domain on top. squarespace versus shopify small businesses verdict: i personally lean more towards shopify for pricing, especially with the discount they offer now. and, by the way, if you already like one of the builders and want to jump in with premium plans, i'll add the best deals available down in the description. why not support us and save some cash in return. now, design wise, shopify is more about actually getting your online store ready, while squarespace is about doing it with style. in terms of numbers, squarespace offers you around 110 templates, while nearly every shopify review will gripe that it has only none. yeah, seems like not an impressive selection, but wait, there's a bit more to this than meets the eye. sure, squarespace has a lot of templates, but only a few of them are concentrated on e-commerce. second thing, shopify has only a few not so distinctive themes at the start, but it also has over 60 premium templates that you can buy, as well as a third-party market full of different styles to choose from. so, in reality, both providers are very similar in terms of e-commerce designs. if i have to compare the overall quality of templates, squarespace wins my heart. i just really love these designs and how they feel. you know, if you have ever seen a squarespace review or a commercial, you know that doing things in style is important to them. shopify, on the other hand, feels very tiknical. browsing them, you start to feel like everything is built from the same box, with just a few small changes here and there. with shopify, you don't have drag and drop controls and each element is placed in a specific, predetermined place. this means that you build your website from the top, adding new sections or part of these sections as you go down. so most shopify web stores will have identikal structures. but is that a bad thing? not for everyone. these aspects allow you to build colorful and eye-catching designs, sure, in just a few hours, instead of spending days overthinking where the hell should you place this button. squarespace website editor is all about freedom and drag and drop controls. you're not limited by the placement of elements and can add even elements on top of each other to create something like this monstrosity, and there are way more elements for you to choose from. compared to shopify, like way more overall. if you want style and lots of tools to craft the perfect design, go with squarespace. if you want to build just a working modern store and move on with your business, choose shopify. now. both providers offer very similar packages and every needed ecommerce feature you might think of. however, after trying most of them out, i like the squarespace approach more. it has a bit more easily managed options for seo or marketing. what i love about both these providers is the amount of help and support they offer. nearly every tool has an explanation, a checklist, a video instruction about what you should do with and why. there is a large community that can help you out on both platforms. and if you want more one-to-one help, shopify has a 24: 7 support option with live chat, email or phone, while squarespace offers email support and live chat but lacks the phone support option. if the platform lacks a feature you want, there's always the app store. in here you can find in-house and third-party build extensions to your web store. squarespace store is pretty good. it has a few important extensions you can easily integrate, like printful, mailchimp and seo tools, but squarespace has nothing on shopify when it comes to add-ons. this bad boy has over 7 000 extensions. yeah, you heard that right: 7 000 different extensions that you can use. just be aware that most of them have extra fees. before continuing, make sure you're subscribed to the cyber news channel to keep our spirits up and stay up to date on all things hosting related. shopify vs squarespace: which is the best ecommerce platform in terms of easy management? well, this will be a difficult task, since both have some of the best approaches to store management. i already mentioned the help you get along the way, but both providers also guide you through adding or managing products. squarespace online store management tools are a bit more restrictive if you compare it to shopify, but that kind of makes sense. squarespace is a more general builder, while shopify is all about web stores. shopify has way more advanced third-party tools, while squarespace offers more in-house solutions. that, however, doesn't mean that any approach is bad. in fact. in some cases, i found the tools that squarespace provides to be smoother and much more robust. other times, i love the selection of apps that i could easily add to my store to improve it. just keep in mind, though, that in-house solutions are included in your monthly price, while apps will most likely add on top of it. which is the best ecommerce platform? look, i'm going to be honest. both shopify and squarespace are amazing tools for building a business or selling online. both offer easy to use tools, lots of life improving features and affordable options for businesses. each has its small cons and is a bit stronger from different perspectives, so the best ecommerce platform for small business options. well, shopify is a bit more straightforward and tool orientated. it is not the best choice if you want to build a unique website per se, but it's the best option if you want an efficient store, whereas squarespace is much more design and style orientated. if you want to spend some time building something unique to your business, check this platform out. thanks for watching this squarespace vs shopify 2022 video. if this helps you make up your mind, leave a like to show your appreciation and click right here to get the best deals for both pro.
