00:00:55 00:00:58 - you really want to again keeping
00:00:57 00:01:00 things simple you want to break the
00:00:58 00:01:03 numbers down smaller right look at the
00:01:00 00:01:05 numbers at a small scale because as you
00:01:03 00:01:07 grow your business the numbers basically
00:01:05 00:01:09 are the same even I had a larger scale
00:01:07 00:01:11 so if your cost per conversions are you
00:01:09 00:01:13 know twenty dollars now they're not
00:01:11 00:01:15 gonna get lower as you start scaling
00:01:13 00:01:18 guys okay they're gonna be roughly the
00:01:15 00:01:20 same okay this is if you're building
00:01:18 00:01:23 your business properly now so let's look
00:01:20 00:01:24 at just a normal example of all let's
00:01:23 00:01:26 just look at like a typical Shopify
00:01:24 00:01:28 dropshipping store ok because I think a
00:01:26 00:01:30 lot of people that come on this channel
00:01:28 00:01:31 or Shopify dropshippers and they don't
00:01:30 00:01:34 understand sales funnels yet so let's
00:01:31 00:01:37 look at Shopify right so with a Shopify
00:01:34 00:01:40 store right to hit your storefront right
00:01:37 00:01:42 they do an ad - car or product page here
00:01:40 00:01:43 product page and then they eventually
00:01:42 00:01:45 leave right they just go to a Thank You
00:01:43 00:01:47 page there's like one more page in here
00:01:45 00:01:49 I can check out page but whatever let's
00:01:47 00:01:53 say you're selling something for you
00:01:49 00:01:55 know you know 1297 let's say 1297 now
00:01:53 00:01:56 industry average across all the clients
00:01:55 00:01:58 I've worked with students that I've
00:01:56 00:02:00 sacrificed so as we're transitioning
00:01:58 00:02:03 them off of Shopify into a sales falls
00:02:00 00:02:07 what we've seen is typically customers
00:02:03 00:02:09 will be buying 1.3 units in your Shopify
00:02:07 00:02:10 store 1.3 unit so what we want to do is
00:02:09 00:02:14 we want
00:02:10 00:02:16 your unit times your number by 1.3 so we
00:02:14 00:02:20 can kind of see what the average cart
00:02:16 00:02:22 value is in your in your Shopify storage
00:02:20 00:02:26 okay now let me get my trusty calculator
00:02:22 00:02:28 here so we'll do twelve dot 97 twelve
00:02:26 00:02:29 point ninety seven times one point three
00:02:28 00:02:34 and that's going to give you an average
00:02:29 00:02:36 car value of sixteen dollars and 86
00:02:34 00:02:37 cents okay now it's your average cart
00:02:36 00:02:39 value now that's all well and good guys
00:02:37 00:02:42 some of you guys might be using zip if I
00:02:39 00:02:45 where you have like your back-end sales
00:02:42 00:02:47 here as well where you're kind of
00:02:45 00:02:49 selling uh you know more product to them
00:02:47 00:02:51 which is fantastik but the problem still
00:02:49 00:02:52 remains that no matter what you have on
00:02:51 00:02:54 the back end it doesn't matter if people
00:02:52 00:02:56 aren't buying from you and that's the
00:02:54 00:02:59 problem with Shopify is you're only
00:02:56 00:03:00 getting that one point three a percent
00:02:59 00:03:02 conversion rate and that is released by
00:03:00 00:03:05 Shopify coincidentally it's the same
00:03:02 00:03:06 number as right here 1.3 percent
00:03:05 00:03:08 conversion rate that means one out of
00:03:06 00:03:10 100 roughly 1.3 out of 100 people will
00:03:08 00:03:12 buy from you and go see the back end
00:03:10 00:03:14 funnel if you have any upsells and stuff
00:03:12 00:03:17 like that but let's just focus to keep
00:03:14 00:03:20 it simple keep the example simple here
00:03:17 00:03:23 with here just on this product page so
00:03:20 00:03:25 now I understand some of you will say oh
00:03:23 00:03:27 well I have a ton of different products
00:03:25 00:03:28 and I make sales on all of them well I
00:03:27 00:03:30 beg you to sort of change your
00:03:28 00:03:33 perspective and think about the 80/20
00:03:30 00:03:35 principle okay and this is why I love
00:03:33 00:03:38 simple business I love simple businesses
00:03:35 00:03:40 because I focus hey well let me explain
00:03:38 00:03:42 if you don't know what the 80/20 rule is
00:03:40 00:03:45 it means 80% of your sales come from 20%
00:03:42 00:03:47 of your products right so if your stores
00:03:45 00:03:49 do it has hundreds of products inside it
00:03:47 00:03:52 only 20% of that hundred are actually
00:03:49 00:03:55 making you any sales now me I'd rather
00:03:52 00:03:57 just focus on four five product offers
00:03:55 00:04:00 and that's it to grow my seven-figure
00:03:57 00:04:01 business right I don't need hundreds and
00:04:00 00:04:04 hundreds of products right there's 80
00:04:01 00:04:06 percent it's wasted time right my focus
00:04:04 00:04:08 needs to be on are the four core
00:04:06 00:04:10 products for core product offers that I
00:04:08 00:04:12 have now to just show this in
00:04:10 00:04:14 perspective when we compare it to the
00:04:12 00:04:16 funnel if you had this product here
00:04:14 00:04:18 right and let's say you will you want to
00:04:16 00:04:19 get scale this one product to a hundred
00:04:18 00:04:21 thousand dollars
00:04:19 00:04:22 a month now let's do a hundred thousand
00:04:21 00:04:26 like how many units do you actually have
00:04:22 00:04:29 to sell this divided by sixteen dollars
00:04:26 00:04:31 and 86 cents okay that's five thousand
00:04:29 00:04:33 that's five thousand units you would
00:04:31 00:04:35 need to sell five thousand nine hundred
00:04:33 00:04:36 and thirty-one units you'd need to sell
00:04:35 00:04:38 of this one product now again I know
00:04:36 00:04:40 some of you guys are gonna be like well
00:04:38 00:04:41 Pete like I have to sell a bunch of
00:04:40 00:04:43 different products let's just keep it
00:04:41 00:04:45 simple here okay you're roughly gonna
00:04:43 00:04:47 need to sell five thousand nine hundred
00:04:45 00:04:51 thirty one products at six thousand
00:04:47 00:04:52 roughly two to get to that level okay
00:04:51 00:04:53 now I want to keep this a little bit
00:04:52 00:04:55 simpler for you guys because a lot of
00:04:53 00:04:58 people tok about you know one product
00:04:55 00:05:00 drop shipping but this this is hard to
00:04:58 00:05:02 scale right and even if we do mix in
00:05:00 00:05:03 some upsells in the background here
00:05:02 00:05:06 where we're selling some more units
00:05:03 00:05:09 again it doesn't matter right if we add
00:05:06 00:05:11 up cells into our Shopify store because
00:05:09 00:05:13 our conversions are really low okay and
00:05:11 00:05:16 you can't add in the one core piece the
00:05:13 00:05:18 continuity which is that reoccurring a
00:05:16 00:05:21 piece of the business and which is going
00:05:18 00:05:23 to allow you to get $200,000 per month
00:05:21 00:05:26 much faster than just focusing on this
00:05:23 00:05:27 right that's the secret so the reason a
00:05:26 00:05:30 lot of people will never be able to be
00:05:27 00:05:32 successful in this business is because
00:05:30 00:05:35 they focus on this right they're
00:05:32 00:05:38 focusing on the front and sale that's it
00:05:35 00:05:40 they're not focusing on back-end sales
00:05:38 00:05:41 right they're not focusing on continuity
00:05:40 00:05:43 not focus on on email marketing they're
00:05:41 00:05:44 not focusing on follow-up funnels
00:05:43 00:05:46 they're not focusing on any of those
00:05:44 00:05:49 things they're just trying to make this
00:05:46 00:05:50 and this right you're trying to make
00:05:49 00:05:54 five thousand nine hundred thirty one
00:05:50 00:05:56 sales oh one product which is very very
00:05:54 00:05:58 very freaking difficult okay now let me

00:06:51 00:06:55 still aren't that good because again
00:06:53 00:06:56 your conversion rates are lower the
00:06:55 00:06:57 reason your conversion rates are lowest
00:06:56 00:06:59 because it's a Shopify sir it's not
00:06:57 00:07:01 meant to guide the customer by the hand
00:06:59 00:07:04 step by step by step like a sales funnel
00:07:01 00:07:07 does so let's do twelve dot ninety seven
00:07:04 00:07:09 times three point four and that's forty
00:07:07 00:07:11 four dollars that's forty four dollars
00:07:09 00:07:13 guys right do you remember two sixteen
00:07:11 00:07:17 dollars right do you remember two
00:07:13 00:07:18 sixteen dollars that we have to have the

00:07:49 00:07:54 sixty-eight sales on this page right
00:07:52 00:07:57 roughly with an average cart just on the
00:07:54 00:07:59 order page of forty four dollars okay
00:07:57 00:08:01 now there's other optin look you could
00:07:59 00:08:02 run this an opt-in page your order page
00:08:01 00:08:04 and already be making more money than
00:08:02 00:08:06 you Shopify server but guess what I want
00:08:04 00:08:07 you to make as much more money as much
00:08:06 00:08:09 money as you humanly possibly can and
00:08:07 00:08:11 help your customers achieve that result
00:08:09 00:08:13 that they want as best as you can so
00:08:11 00:08:14 there's another thing we can add in here
00:08:13 00:08:17 it's called our order bump now these are
00:08:14 00:08:19 just a pre purchased upsell to toss in
00:08:17 00:08:20 item it's like a bean in a grocery store
00:08:19 00:08:22 line throwing in that little extra
00:08:20 00:08:25 add-on right bag of chips right a
00:08:22 00:08:27 no-brainer offer okay that's what's put
00:08:25 00:08:28 an order form usually if I was selling
00:08:27 00:08:30 to twelve ninety seven dollar product
00:08:28 00:08:34 here I would price it around you know
00:08:30 00:08:36 1497 1697 so again boom we're already
00:08:34 00:08:37 making more money right here we're
00:08:36 00:08:40 already making more money with just now
00:08:37 00:08:42 the order bump this starts going lower
00:08:40 00:08:44 why does this number start going lower
00:08:42 00:08:46 because our average cart value starts
00:08:44 00:08:49 going higher okay
00:08:46 00:08:52 now the order bumps right order bumps or
00:08:49 00:08:53 are upsells right we like to sell more
00:08:52 00:08:56 of the same thing here
00:08:53 00:09:01 on the first two all right upsell number
00:08:56 00:09:03 one upsell number two right and again
00:09:01 00:09:05 now right you're getting customers to
00:09:03 00:09:09 adore this little average car value is
00:09:05 00:09:12 going to start rising drastikally faster
00:09:09 00:09:14 because you're now up selling them more
00:09:12 00:09:15 of what they just bought right at a
00:09:14 00:09:17 better discount and same thing here
00:09:15 00:09:19 right and we're going to you can again

00:09:41 00:09:47 this okay this average cart value will
00:09:44 00:09:49 probably be just 64 ma will just say 64
00:09:47 00:09:52 dollars it would be higher but I'm just
00:09:49 00:09:54 going to do 64 dollars for the
00:09:52 00:09:57 simplicity of it just here all right
00:09:54 00:09:59 compared to the $16 and eighty-six cart
00:09:57 00:10:01 value that you're having through Shopify
00:09:59 00:10:02 and once again guys I know some of your
00:10:01 00:10:03 gonna be saying well Pete I can just add
00:10:02 00:10:05 up those to my Shopify store I could
00:10:03 00:10:08 just do this on Shopify your comfort
00:10:05 00:10:10 this doesn't matter in your Shopify
00:10:08 00:10:14 store because your conversions here are
00:10:10 00:10:16 lower okay here on it on that on the
00:10:14 00:10:19 clip funnels on sales funnels you're
00:10:16 00:10:21 getting 10 to 15 percent conversion that
00:10:19 00:10:24 means 10 out of a hundred people buy
00:10:21 00:10:26 from you and you're collecting email
00:10:24 00:10:27 leads right that you can follow up with
00:10:26 00:10:29 later on and send them different
00:10:27 00:10:31 promotions and all of that stuff right
00:10:29 00:10:33 so as this keeps growing higher the
00:10:31 00:10:36 amount of orders you need is getting
00:10:33 00:10:39 lower to get to that six-figure mark
00:10:36 00:10:42 okay so here at 64 right now if we look
00:10:39 00:10:43 at our average cart value is $64 okay
00:10:42 00:10:45 well let's see well how many customers

00:10:45 00:10:54 100 to make $100,000 a month at a $64

00:12:34 00:12:40 1562 customers you scott right you're

00:13:25 00:13:29 can see why boom you can only do one
00:13:27 00:13:30 thing I mean you could this number now
00:13:29 00:13:33 drastikally drops under a thousand
00:13:30 00:13:35 because of this so you can see why now
00:13:33 00:13:38 you're optimizing your business not
00:13:35 00:13:39 necessarily for for sales right like
00:13:38 00:13:40 sales are good but you're not
00:13:39 00:13:42 necessarily just trying to get that
00:13:40 00:13:43 front end sale that so many people are
00:13:42 00:13:45 always focused on so many people are
00:13:43 00:13:48 just focus on just these two pieces
00:13:45 00:13:50 right this front end sale when in fact
00:13:48 00:13:51 it's like there's so much more money to
00:13:50 00:13:52 be made here that you're missing out on
00:13:51 00:13:55 it's just a different way of thinking
00:13:52 00:13:56 about it right where every single piece
00:13:55 00:13:58 of this is making you money and then you
00:13:56 00:13:59 can descend into a Thank You page you
00:13:58 00:14:01 don't even add you can add more upsells
00:13:59 00:14:04 if you want to I usually do to make even
00:14:01 00:14:06 more money for my customers but this is
00:14:04 00:14:08 how when you optimize every single piece
00:14:06 00:14:10 of your business like this you can make
00:14:08 00:14:13 so much more money
00:14:10 00:14:15 okay so much more money especially what
00:14:13 00:14:17 you have this continuity piece built
00:14:15 00:14:19 into your business and this guy's this
00:14:17 00:14:22 only keeps growing as you keep getting
00:14:19 00:14:23 more customers and as you keep getting
00:14:22 00:14:25 more customers through your funnel that
00:14:23 00:14:27 means you're gonna get be getting more
00:14:25 00:14:29 continuity members so next month maybe
00:14:27 00:14:31 then you have 140 and it's the magic of
00:14:29 00:14:33 compound interest right it's the magic
00:14:31 00:14:35 of compound interest at that point so to
00:14:33 00:14:37 get to a hundred thousand dollars a
00:14:35 00:14:38 month yeah it's a pain in the butt if
00:14:37 00:14:40 you try to do it with a single product
00:14:38 00:14:42 on a Shopify store but if you take that
00:14:40 00:14:44 same product wrap it around in a really
00:14:42 00:14:47 really good compelling offer plug it
00:14:44 00:14:49 into a sales funnel right optimize the
00:14:47 00:14:50 funnel every step of the way right you
00:14:49 00:14:52 collected emails you got your order form
00:14:50 00:14:53 so you got your order quantity break
00:14:52 00:14:55 discounts you got your upsells you got
00:14:53 00:14:58 your continuity piece boom the same
00:14:55 00:15:01 exact traffic source right is now making
00:14:58 00:15:03 you literally I mean over ten egg I mean
00:15:01 00:15:05 it's more than 10x the amount of revenue
00:15:03 00:15:07 than if you had just sent them to a
00:15:05 00:15:09 product page and hope for that frying
00:15:07 00:15:12 sale start focusing on back end sales
00:15:09 00:15:13 guys this this right here this back end
00:15:12 00:15:15 piece the continuity people ask me or
00:15:13 00:15:17 how can I do back end sales continuity
00:15:15 00:15:19 back end cells you want continuity
00:15:17 00:15:20 that's it look that it would be my main
00:15:19 00:15:21 focus I would not start a business right

00:15:21 00:15:25 was it for if I couldn't add some sort
00:15:23 00:15:26 of reoccurring revenue into it so I hope
00:15:25 00:15:28 that makes sense I know we kind of went
