Getting started with Printful and Shopify | Tutorial 2022
Hi, it's Michael from Printful! In this video, we'll cover how to connect your Printful account to Shopify, add products, configure shipping, enable live shipping rates, and set up product personalization.
Before we begin, let's go over what Shopify is and why it's a great platform for creating your online business. Shopify is an ecommerce platform that enables you to sell products to customers worldwide. You can build a custom online store to manage and market your products easily. You can even collect payments for your orders using a payment gateway like PayPal or Stripe. With Shopify, you can access their App Store to find tools for anything in ecommerce, such as automatically connecting and pushing products to your social media accounts and setting up email campaigns to increase your sales.
- Sign up to Printful
- Create a Shopify store
- Connect to Shopify
- Add products
- Set up shipping
- Enable live rates
- Add product personalization
Connecting to Shopify:
To connect your Printful account to Shopify, you'll need to create accounts on both platforms. If you're not a Printful user yet, go to our website and create your free account. Once you've signed up, you'll be able to see your Printful Dashboard where you can easily follow all the onboarding steps to start selling with Printful.
To register on Shopify, choose one of their payment plans or start with a free trial. After setting up your accounts, log into your Shopify dashboard, select the Apps tab, and click Customize Your Store. Search for Printful and click Add app. Log into your Printful account, and you're done! Your Shopify store is now connected to Printful.
To add products to your newly created store, go to the Printful Dashboard, select Stores, choose your Shopify store, and click Add product. Choose the product type, such as Men's clothing, All shirts, and the model you want. Customize your shirt by adding text, clipart, a design you made, or use a photo from the vast library of premium stock images, vector designs, and patterns.
After customizing your shirt, select all the colors and sizes you want to offer, and hit Proceed to media. Choose from a large variety of mockup styles and select the mockup format (JPG or PNG). You can even include a production or product fit video in your product listing too.
Proceed to the details and change the product title, description, and visibility. Choose to add the size guide to your product description, choose size guide's measurement system, and add tags. Pick the correct collection for your product and check the Display my product with free shipping box if you want to hide your product's shipping cost on your storefront.
Setting Up Shipping:
Printful automatically creates shipping profiles for your Printful products on Shopify, so shipping rates will already be set when you create a new product. You can access shipping options on Shopify's end by clicking Settings and Shipping and delivery. If you make changes to Printful shipping profiles, they will revert back to default. You can create new custom profiles and assign them to your products.
Enabling Live Rates:
To enable Printful's live rates, go to the Printful app on Shopify, select Apps, Printful app, Products, Settings, and then Shipping. Click the box to enable Printful's live rates on your Shopify store and hit Save. If you're not a Shopify advanced plan user, you'll have to contact Shopify and request they add live rates for an extra $20 per month.
Adding Product Personalization:
To add the Printful Product Personalization Tool, select Stores, choose your Shopify store, and click Add product. Product personalization is available for DTG and embroidery products, jewelry, keychains, and wall art. Customize your product, make it as elaborate as you like, and push the product to your Shopify store as usual.
That's it! By following these steps, you can connect your Printful account to Shopify, add products, configure shipping, enable live shipping rates, and set up product personalization. Don't forget to go through our Shopify FAQ and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more helpful content.

Thank you to Vidi for sponsoring today's video! With their app, creating beautiful product videos has never been easier. I was able to step out of my comfort zone and create videos of the products I sell on Poshmark, and it has already boosted my sales. Vidi offers guides and templates for easy video creation, and the videos can be used on platforms like Poshmark, Amazon, Shopify, Depop, Facebook, and Instagram. The app is user-friendly and offers powerful results. And the best part? It's free! Plus, if you sign up early, you'll be entered to win a $250 prepaid Etsy gift card. Vidi officially launches on November 16th, but you can start using it now for early access. Some of my favorite features include the guides and templates, the simple built-in editing, and the ability to change the ratio of the video to fit the correct platform. One tip is to know the max length of the video for your platform, such as Poshmark's 15-second limit. Overall, Vidi is a great tool for anyone looking to increase their sales and stand out from the crowd.
My SECRETS to How I Made $1800 on Poshmark in 8 days
Hey guys, welcome back to my channel! If you're new here, my name is Ashley Wheeler and I'm a full-time work-from-home mom. I sell things on platforms like Poshmark and eBay and in today's video, I've been talking about how over the last week we made over $1800. I'm going to share with you today how I made that happen because let's be real, Poshmark has been a hot mess lately. I do have a video coming out about that soon, so hit that subscribe button if you do not want to miss that part as well.
In this article, I will share with you how I made over $1800 in a week on Poshmark by trying out different methods to increase my sales.
1. Look at the month of March:
- I made more than half of what I made on Poshmark in the last week based on the efforts that I have put in.
- I have been a full-time reseller on Poshmark for over two years and have had a daily method of operation for an extremely long time.
- I share my closet twice in a day, list new items, re-list old stale items, play around with the titles, maybe change the price if they've been up for more than 90 days, and send offers.
2. Trying something different:
- I went into the My Shopper feature and sent a message to people who have shopped or been in my store, liked an item, or added an item to a bundle.
- I provided a discount of 50% on two or more items and got a good amount of income.
- I began to realize that it wasn't enough, so I did an audit of my inventory and wanted to clear some stuff out.
3. Using the Flip Reseller Tool:
- This tool is free and has many features like cross-listing to Poshmark, Mercari, eBay, Facebook, and more.
- I cross-listed items to Facebook using this tool and saved time and effort.
- I also used the Poshmark Sharer
How to Dropship on Poshmark
In this article, we will discuss how to drop ship on Poshmark using the copy to Poshmark button introduced by Z Drop. We will explore the two main ways to list on Poshmark and drop ship and discuss some issues to be aware of.
1. Using Integrations:
Z Drop has integrated the copy to Poshmark button on Amazon and Walmart, making it easy to list products on Poshmark. You can find popular products in the bestsellers section of Amazon or Walmart and use the copy to Poshmark button to list them.
2. Using List Perfectly:
List Perfectly is a multi-channel listing software that can help you cross-post your listings to Poshmark. You can use the list perfectly button to cross-post your Facebook or Mercari listings to Poshmark.
3. Issues to be Aware of:
One issue to be aware of is that you need to use the Poshmark label to ship to the customer. You can either use drop ship arbitrage or drop ship with a thank you note. Drop ship arbitrage involves receiving the product first and then shipping it out using the Poshmark label. Drop shipping with a thank you note involves shipping the product from the supplier and including a thank you note with the Poshmark label.
Drop shipping on Poshmark is a great way to make money, and with the new copy to Poshmark button and list perfectly software, it has become easier than ever. Just be aware of the issues with the Poshmark label and choose the best method for your needs. Happy drop shipping!
