| 00:03:25 | 00:03:30 | as well as a base set so base set is |
| 00:03:28 | 00:03:34 | those original cards that first |
| 00:03:30 | 00:03:35 | came out okay they were in 1999 that |
| 00:03:34 | 00:03:36 | those cards came out so my focus is |
| 00:03:35 | 00:03:38 | going to be on first |
| 00:03:36 | 00:03:41 | edition cards shadowless cards |
| 00:03:38 | 00:03:44 | preferably because they're more valuable |
| 00:03:41 | 00:03:45 | and base set cards as well so i cannot |
| 00:03:44 | 00:03:47 | stress this enough guys |
| 00:03:45 | 00:03:48 | research is key before you go and jump |
| 00:03:47 | 00:03:49 | into these so |
| 00:03:48 | 00:03:52 | i see a couple auctions that i'm about |
| 00:03:49 | 00:03:54 | to jump into and see if i can win |
| 00:03:52 | 00:03:56 | um but before i am going into these |
| 00:03:54 | 00:03:58 | there is a grading system for these |
| 00:03:56 | 00:04:01 | pokemon cards so kind of the one that's |
| 00:03:58 | 00:04:02 | held at the highest esteem is called psa |
| 00:04:01 | 00:04:04 | and essentially you could send them |
| 00:04:02 | 00:04:04 | pokemon cards and they will rank them |
| 00:04:04 | 00:04:06 | you know |
| 00:04:04 | 00:04:08 | one through ten ten obviously being the |
| 00:04:06 | 00:04:09 | best kind of quality so |
| 00:04:08 | 00:04:11 | you've seen pokemon cards selling for |
| 00:04:09 | 00:04:13 | tens of thousands of dollars |
| 00:04:11 | 00:04:14 | even collections selling for hundreds of |
| 00:04:13 | 00:04:16 | thousands of dollars |
| 00:04:14 | 00:04:17 | because they're psa 10 graded cards that |
| 00:04:16 | 00:04:20 | mean these cards |
| 00:04:17 | 00:04:21 | are absolutely pristine they're perfect |
| 00:04:20 | 00:04:23 | now here's the thing from some of the |
| 00:04:21 | 00:04:25 | research that i've been doing |
| 00:04:23 | 00:04:26 | is that sometimes you when as a kid if |
| 00:04:25 | 00:04:29 | you bought a pack of these original base |
| 00:04:26 | 00:04:30 | set cards some of the cards would just |
| 00:04:29 | 00:04:32 | even just right out of the factory |
| 00:04:30 | 00:04:34 | wouldn't be graded psa 10 right so that |
| 00:04:32 | 00:04:36 | makes them even more rare so for example |
| 00:04:34 | 00:04:37 | a charizard that sold for you know tens |
| 00:04:36 | 00:04:39 | of thousands of dollars |
| 00:04:37 | 00:04:40 | right that one is pristine right there's |
| 00:04:39 | 00:04:42 | not a single |
| 00:04:40 | 00:04:44 | blemish or anything wrong with this card |

| 00:04:44 | 00:04:48 | these psa 10 cards anything in that |
| 00:04:46 | 00:04:50 | first edition anything based on anything |
| 00:04:48 | 00:04:51 | shadows is is just crazy expensive right |

| 00:06:22 | 00:06:26 | obviously you try and buy them at a |
| 00:06:24 | 00:06:28 | lower price than that right makes sense |
