Clover to Shopify Product Inventory Sync in Real Time | by CSI Works
hello, in this video, i'm going to demonstrate the capabilities of our new app that is available now on clover and also on shopify app markets. the point of the app is uh to facilitate the merchants that wish to utilize clover devices in their store and the shopify platform for their online presence. okay, so if- if this is your setup, if you're interested in using clover, uh for your own, uh for your uh in in store presence, and if you're interested in using shopify online, you can use our product, uh, the one that we just recently published, to have your inventory and products sync up from both platforms. and so that's what i'm going to quickly demonstrate: how that works. what we have here is our clover account and, as you can see that we have absolutely nothing set up in our inventory, it's completely empty. and we also have our um. this is our shopify account and, as you can see, in our shopify account, we have some items. we have four at the moment. okay, and then what we're going to do now is just quickly install our app clover product, like sync, and so we're going to start with shopify and, again, you can start either with cover or shopify. both will carry the app in the app market, and both will drive you to install first on one and then on the other, right? and so, basically, we're going to go ahead and install the app here on our shopify, and it authentikated our store with our what we call omni gateway, um, and then that's what it tells you to do. next, it says: now you have to install this on your clover dashboard, right? so we're going to install it on our clover dashboard and click, you know, shopify, product sync. here it is, and now we have installed our service on both platforms- on clover and on shopify- and we're just going to click this in the initial batch sync one time, which will pick up our products from shopify- all four of them, uh- and put them into our clover inventory app, and so it's done. in fact, if i refresh this and everything has worked correctly, um, then we're going to see these items here in clover, the ones that are from shopify, and so i'm going to go ahead and refresh and there are the items- four of them- and i want to show you that the sync of item flow is completely automated and it happens in real time. so let me navigate back to my store on shopify here and let me go ahead and create a new product. all right, so we're going to create product number five, okay, and we're going to mark it as active. we're going to give a price of 15.99. we're going to give the skew number like this and a barcode number like that, maybe no b here. uh, we're going to say that we have five of these quantity and that's it. same: product number five, quantity five flows nicely, and so here's our item. now we have five items in our shopify and i haven't navigated to anything to click any kind of sync buttons or anything, and all i'm just going to do now is just go back to my clover account and i'm simply going to refresh my inventory here and see that our product number five is now available here as well. product number five. there it is. so it got transferred from shopify into clover inventory, uh, automatikally, and you can see that the information like name, price and the product codes were transferred, um, automatikally as well. so that's basically now available. so check it out, you know, if you do come here um [Music]. why don't we open it from here? all right, so we have five records. uh, the categories are also. you, you're able to sync your categories between clover and shopify, but those need to be done in batches. so there's a batch that happens on the schedule basis and then you can force the sync by just clicking this button, but the items and products are syncing in real time and you can see the mapping rules, right. so this is this: basically items, uh, item fields in clover, item fields in shopify, and how we map them. okay, and here are some sync rules here as well, and then from here you can navigate either to your clover or your shopify account. so check it out, really cool, thank you.
