How To Design A Shopify Store In 10 Minutes (Step-By-Step)

having a bad website will kill your chances of success on shopify, even if you have the best products and ads. it's so much harder to see results with a low quality store. so in this video, i'll be sharing the exact store template that i'm using right now to generate over a hundred thousand dollars a month, and i'll be showing you, step by step, exactly how to easily build one for yourself. if you're new here, my name is jordan and i'm currently documenting the entire process of growing my ecommerce brand with as much transparency as possible. so if you're interested in starting your own online business, make sure to subscribe for new videos every single friday. also just want to say thank you guys so much for 50 000 subscribers. so to give back to you guys, i'm gonna do something that i usually don't do. i'm gonna give away a free one-on-one coaching call to one of you. to enter the giveaway, just drop a comment down below, follow me on instagram and dm me. when you're done, i'll be announcing the winner for this next friday. anyways, let's get started with the video. first things first. here are some live results that i'm getting with this exact template. so, as you can see halfway through the day, i've already done over 2500 in sales and if we look at yesterday's stats, you can see that this store is averaging around five thousand dollars a day. everybody is always asking about profit, so let's take a look. yesterday i did around fifteen hundred dollars in profit and today, so far, halfway through the day, i'm at around in profit, which is close to 30 daily margin. i'm not showing this to brag, but just to prove that this layout is working. today, i figured the best way to explain this would be to make a sample store that follows this exact template, so that's what i did. let's have a look at that sample store. so this is a store that i created in the home and garden niche- the type of stores that i like to build to test products look just like this. basically, we're building a nice, clean, branded store with good logo, good images, multiple collections inside of that niche, high quality products and images and, overall, a trustworthy and legitimate feel. i get dms every single day of people asking me: why am i struggling to see results? and then i look at their store and it looks like this: if you take the time to make a nice, clean, branded website, seeing success with ecommerce is going to be so much easier. this kind of store is perfect for testing products because it is branded, it has a trustworthy feel, but it's also broad enough that you can test a variety of products without being too constrained. i like to call this kind of store a hybrid store. it basically bridges the gap between a general and niche store. building a store like this is really not that difficult, so i'm gonna break down how to do it right now. the first thing that you're gonna need to come up with is a clean name and logo. to come up with names, i highly recommend you guys check out this tool called lean domain search. basically, you can take any word or phrase that you like and plug it into here and they're gonna show you websites that are ready to go that have this word inside of it. so in my case, i used the word flora because it fit perfectly for the home and garden space, and i scrolled and scrolled until i found the name flora flow, which i really like. all of the names on this website are available to purchase for the com domain right away, so i would take some time and try to come up with at least five phrases that would fit with your branding. so now that you've come up with a name, you need to create a logo now. i know graphic design might be intimidating to a lot of you, but nowadays there are a ton of tools that make it incredibly simple. one of my favorite tools to do this is actually called canva. canva has a bunch of these logo templates already built into the app, and it's actually what i use to build the flora flow logo. you can literally scroll through their library and find a clean logo for your brand in seconds and know this video is not sponsored by them. i just really like their product. so, as you can see, the template that i use for the floraflow logo is right here. i literally typed in flower. i looked at the options, i found this one and i just simply typed in the logo name and then i made it a little bigger, centered it in the middle and i deleted the bottom and i made a logo for the brand in 10 seconds. now, look, it's going to take you longer than 10 seconds and you shouldn't rush the process, but i would highly advise you guys. use that tool to build your logo. i'm also a big fan of photoshop. for my brand that i'm running right now, i designed my logo in photoshop, but it's a lot more advanced and not very beginner friendly. once you've got a name and a logo, the next step is to build out a nice home page for your store. now, when you're running ads to this store, typically you're going to send people to the product pages. yeah, you might have a cool product, you might have a cool product page, but if your customer starts browsing around your website and they get a weird vibe, they're not going to spend money with you and even if they do, the chances of them remembering your brand and buying again are so slim. so this is the exact layout that i use for all of my home pages. let's break it down. there are a ton of themes to use on shopify and it can kind of be overwhelming. this store is actually built on the impulse theme, which is by far one of my favorite paid themes, and if you're looking for a good free theme, i recommend that you guys check out debutify. i've used both of them and personally i like impulse a little better, but if you're on a low budget, debutify is an amazing option. first things first. we need a nice and clean header. try to come up with something creative that introduces the people to your brand in a very inviting way. now i could have easily wrote the best products for your home and garden, but i think it's much better to put something that has a little bit more flair and life to it. so in this example, i put stylus essentials for the modern home designed to elevate your lifestyle. if you're struggling with copywriting, just go look at some of the biggest brands out there. in terms of this image and all the images on the site, shopify actually provides a bunch of really sick free images and a lot of people don't know about this. so if you go down to image and you click on change and you go to free images, you can search up almost anything. so in my case, i searched up flower and you'll see that shopify has a bunch of these really nice high quality images that they're constantly updating almost every single week, and they're really fire. the next thing i do is typically put one of our collections on display. in this case it's the best sellers, because those are my favorite products on the store, so i wanted to put those front and center and when they click on it, you're gonna see that these are our top selling products and a nice, clean, organized page. we also give them an offer with up to fifty 50 off on the select products, and it's just something that gives them some incentive to click and start shopping. the next thing that i really like to do is show some type of mission statement for the brand. i think that this really helps your customers connect with you and feel like they're a part of something greater than just buying a product. so you can see, what i put here is that we want to help over 10 000 people create their dream environment through providing our own unique products worldwide. now, this is going to be different for everybody, so make sure that you come with something unique for your brand. and once again, i just took the image directly from shopify. now, the next thing that i threw in here: it was just a promotion. you don't need to have this, but i included it because i thought it looked nice, so you can just see it's 50 off of our spring and summer collection. and then i just put a little blurb about stay at home and stay at peace with these essentials t.

Shopify Dropshipping Tutorial for Beginners 2022 - How To Create A Profitable Shopify Store

yo, yo yo. what's up? you guys, it's Jeremy Ray, and in this video we're going to be doing something that I've never done before. you guys, in this video we're going to be literally going on the whole journey, from start to finish, on how to build a successful Shopify, Drop Shipping business. so stage number one is picking a product. before we get to actually pick a product, the first thing I want to explain to you guys is the criteria that I use in which to pick products. so, number one: the first thing that I always make sure that I do- is I make sure that I sell a product that's problem solving. you guys want to sell problem solving products because they literally make people feel like they need to buy it. it's not just a want, or they just want to buy this thing from you because they like it, like a Gucci belt or Gucci shoes. it's an actual need. they feel like they actually need to have that because it solves a problem. so, problem solving products- number one, something that I always do. the next thing is I always make sure that the products are viral, eye-catching, have gone viral before or at least have viral potential. you don't want to sell boring products, right? you can't drop ship a banana. but, with that being and said, the last piece of criteria that I always use when I'm finding a product is: I make sure that I can sell it for at least a ten dollar profit margin. if you guys can't make ten dollars per sale on the product that you're Drop Shipping, it's going to be very, very hard to scale with paid ads in the future and you're not going to like the margins that you have. even if you make it work with a 10 profit margin and are running paid ads, you're just not gonna, overall, make a lot of money doing things that way. okay, you guys. so there's a lot of ways to find winning products, but in this video I wanted to give you guys only the examples that you could use today for 100 free. you're basically just going to go on to tiktok, open up the app and you're going to search up, basically, hashtag Amazon best finds. so the reason that we're searching these hashtags, you guys, is because hashtag tiktok made me buy it, or hashtag Amazon best finds means people are posting videos on tiktok about products that they bought off of tik tok. so if you're the one selling those products, you're going to be the one making money and 99 of the products on this hashtag are able to be drop shipped. when I'm looking through these products, what I'm doing is going filtering by this week, so I filter by this week and then I filter by the most liked videos because that's going to give me the most viral. so, as I'm going through here, as I can see, right, this little shelf thing, for example, you know this has 211 000, you know, likes just off of that, which is pretty crazy. if I'm scrolling down, you guys, here we'll search up hashtag tiktok made me buy it. and if you're not finding products, you could always do another hashtag. so you could do like you know, hashtag, lifehack, hashtag, helpful products, hashtag, pain relief products, right, anything you're really trying to go. but going through these hashtags, all you're going to do, as I said, is sort by basically this week or this month, more preferably, and then you're gonna go most liked, as you guys can see right here, we've got a bunch of products popping up that are absolutely viral. so all I'm going to do is just go through here like, look at this one, right, 2.7 million likes on this video of this product. you guys, this product is something you could easily, easily, easily drop ship. I'm sure you can find this on AliExpress for very, very cheap, and if you guys can sell a product like this or be the one selling a product like this, you're going to do extremely well. we're gonna look for products and once we find one, I'll hop right back on the mic. alright, you guys. so we found a product. the product that we're actually going to be using for this video and showing this whole process is this little cup cleaner thing. so this thing went insanely viral and this is definitely a product that I've seen go viral a lot, but I haven't seen anybody honestly reach its full potential with this product yet. I know this is a crazy viral product and a great product to be selling, so that's why we're going to be rolling with this one. so now that we have a product picked out, the next thing we're going to do is think of a name, think of a logo and then build the website. what I usually do in order to think of a name and think of a logo is: first I think about the product. I think about what type of feelings it creates, what type of emotion it gives off, what vibe does your product give off, then think of those and turn them into words and think of what words kind of resemble your product, and that's how you make a name. and then, off of that name, you'll start creating a logo. your logo could literally just be your name written in cool font. it could be whatever you guys want. all right, you guys. so, when it comes to picking a name in a logo, as I said, you got to keep it simple. this is not something you should over complicate or take too long with at all. you're just wasting your time if you take too long with it, because the most important thing is just getting the marketing to test if the product's even going to work in general. so, with that being said, you guys, when I'm thinking of a name, I'm literally just gonna think of words with my products. so, basically, my product is that little cup or that little thing that basically cleans cups, right? so one word is cup and one word is clean, right? so maybe we could go clean cut, maybe we could go with cup clean, but I think we'll just go with clean cup. so, essentially, you guys, once I think of a name- right, see how easy that was. that literally took five seconds- right, clean cup. it tells exactly what the product does. you guys keep your name simple. with that being said, the next thing I would do is just go and pick a different font. you guys could literally just write your name and put it in a cool font. for this app that I'm editing on, it's called canva. this is no way a paid promo for canva or anything like that, but they're just the software I've been using literally since I started and I absolutely love using canva. maybe what we'll do right here is search up clean and we'll try to find some little sort of you know image or something that we could throw in here. so we look and we see clean, let's go ahead and maybe try with this guy. so maybe we try putting this, you know, right by the piece. see how it kind of circles off right there, like maybe, like right there would look cool. you know, like um, right, uh, nah, now I have the logo kind of looking like this, so it essentially just says clean cup and then it has that little green little like L's to make it kind of cool, you know, to make it pop out. the next thing I'm gonna do is just prepare for the social media accounts. when you make the social media account to Instagram, tiktok- you need to have a profile photo. so all I did was went and literally just duplicated this logo onto another size- just a square size in canva- and made the logo for profile photos, essentially on tiktok and Instagram. now we're gonna move on to stage two and actually start building this website. all right, you guys. so now we're gonna start building our website. this is a super exciting spot to be in when you get started doing e-commerce. so, with that being said, you guys, all we're going to do in order to start using Shopify is we're going to go ahead and go to shopifycom. so we're going to go to shopifycom and then all we're going to do after we land on the Shopify page is click Start free trial. then you're gonna go ahead and grab an email account. it doesn't have to be a business email or nothing like that, you guys. this could literally just be your regular email. so I'm just starting out or I can just skip through these questions. you can just skip skip or you can answer them. United States is where I'm basically doing my business, and now I'm just going to continue with Google. so I'm just going to continue with G.

Reviewing 7 Actual Shopify Dropshipping Stores (Real Examples)

a few days ago, i put up a poll on my instagram story asking those of you who are interested to submit your shopify dropshipping stores for video, in which i would then review and kind of critique those stores. this is that video. whether or not your store actually ends up being in this video, I think there's gonna be a lot of valuable takeaways and ideas for everybody, and it's also just super interesting to see what other people who are just getting to the drop shipping space are doing. so I'm really hyped for this one. yo, what's good? guys, it's your boy, be ahead. and I know I'm not the person who thought of this whole concept of reviewing subscriber drop shipping stores. so before we get into this, we do have to pay respect to the founding fathers of the drop shipping YouTube game. now that that's out of the way, let's go ahead and jump into these stores, and I'm gonna be viewing all of these stores in mobile of you, because that's why you should be optimizing your website. for how are you gonna advertise your drop shipping store? probably through social media. how do people use social media on their phone? it's about 98 percent of all the traffic on your website is gonna be coming from one mobile view if you're getting into Shopify drop shipping and you're spending more time optimizing your website for a desktop view rather than a mobile view. Skol, congratulations, you played yourself and if I'm being too harsh on a store that you submitted for this video, I apologize in advance. just know, everything that I say in this video comes out of a place of love and constructive critikism. first up on the chopping block we got the man, the myth, the legend, deewan Mons, submitting a store called the mini pause calm. first thing I'm gonna say, even before we judge this website, is that pretty much everybody and their mom submitted of websites selling fake earpods. at this point it's selling this product is not the move. if you're just getting to drop shipping, I definitely would not recommend that you go for this product. it would have been a great idea to jump on this product about one and a half years ago when it was just popping off, but at this point the supply outweighs the demand for this product. however, I still wanted to show this website because it actually has some really nice aspects to it. first up, the domain is great. the mini pod is calm, it's very easy to pronounce, very easy to remember, the logo looks sleek, and also the product images. these, these look great. a lot of people we use Aliexpress product images that have writing on them and it's got bad grammar. they're blurry. however, these- this person- choose some great product images. they look very professional and really nice and when you scroll down, you got the title of the product, you got the price and this part of the website I do not like. the fact that he used an emoji. I wouldn't, I would never recommend anybody uses emojis on their website because it looks very unprofessional. I mean, think about the biggest businesses, the biggest ecommerce brands out there. they don't use emojis on their websites in their product descriptions because it looks it looks very unprofessional. but then let's scroll down further. you got a sales timer. I'm personally not a fan of sales timer. I think at this point they're overused everybody and it just makes the website look like a scam. but here's the part that I really want to show you guys, and that's the product description itself. it looks beautiful. this is exactly what you want as a product description. he's got gifts, pictures and words all mixed together in a very neat and orderly fashion that easily conveys to the customer what this product does, the features of the products. there's no super long paragraphs anywhere and it's very easy to understand and it appealing to the eyes. and then you scroll down and you got the reviews. here he used a lot of reviews that have pictures on them, which is great. that's a good move. so final verdict for this website: I think it looks amazing, but the problem is with the product. I think if you were to apply everything that you know about website design and build this kind of website for a better product, I think you can go really far with the drop shipping and make a ton of money. next up we got the homie Scott Franklin with his website watch Osho Calm. he's 17, just trying to make a buck, aren't we all? I'm gonna go ahead and assume that Scott isn't completely done with this website, so I'm gonna- I'm gonna- flame him too hard. but first up we got the Wachau shop calm domain and then we got the name of the store, watch Oh shopping cept. it doesn't have a t, so I don't know if that was purposeful or you forgot to pop a T in there. I believe the name of the website is written in a basic stok font that comes with this Shopify theme, so you're gonna want to change that up. maybe get a logo or at least write it in a cool font or something like that. not sure if the spark even sells, but these are the type of Aliexpress images that are toking about earlier that you don't really want to use. you don't want to use the images that have the text on them. as you can see, some of them are cut off. it doesn't look very sleek and it's the first thing that people see when they land on your product page. you really want to take your time on the product images and select the most high-quality ones you can find and then actually go step further and pop them into Photoshop, edit them a little bit, make them look even nicer, because, again, it's the first thing that people see. you want to have good product images and then we scroll down a little bit. we got the price and this right here is a very common mistake that I see a lot of people make when they're first getting into drop shipping, and it's these options right here. people don't realize that if you have more than one option for your product, you can go ahead and switch over to a drop-down menu rather than just having a bunch of these options scattered everywhere. it doesn't look sleek if you have it. honestly, if you have more than two or three options for your product, I would go ahead and recommend that you switch over to the drop-down menu. it's going to look a lot nicer. scrolling further down, you got a sales timer again, I'm not a fan of these countdown clock timers. the stok thing- only 18 left in stok. I think that actually works pretty well and having a stok countdown I'm okay with, but the sales timer it just looks like a scam. I would personally not recommend people put a sales timer on their page and then we got the product description and you and you just absolutely cannot get away with this type of thing in 2019, 2020. it's got stuff like style, trendy, shape, pattern, ball. that's not a real product description. it's just the product specifications that were copied from Aliexpress. you got it. you got to write more than that. you gotta have some gifts, some images on there. you want to describe the product, you want to convince somebody to buy the product, and this isn't gonna do that. but then you do have some reviews to have pictures, which is great. so, honestly, I like how simple this website is. I like that you have the reviews, but it's still. it's still gonna require a lot more work. something like this could have probably worked in the completely very early beginning days of drop shipping, when there weren't a ton of drop shipping in stores out there instead of competition. but at this point in time, this, this is just isn't gonna work. you gotta have a very branded, very sleek design. you gotta. you got to put in a little more work than this. next up on the price is right. we got Jonathan with his website wwlpcom. come on down. and, by the way, I'm only gonna be reviewing the product pages in this video. I'm not gonna focus on the rest of the website, because the product page is the most important part. that's what you're gonna use as your landing page and that's what the customer actually sees most of the time. a lot of your customers aren't even gonna go away and explore the rest of your website, so

The 12 Best Shopify Store Examples To Inspire Entrepreneurs

if you're on the journey of building your own business, here are 12 exceptional shopify store examples to give you a bit of inspiration, and i'll also give you some tips on how you can get your store on their level. hi, i'm creative strategist michelle bally. i've helped countless small businesses create and optimize their shopify stores, so in today's video, we're going to be looking at some of the best stores out there and how you can apply these ideas to your own store. there are already set standards when it comes to how ecommerce sites are built, so look at what other brands are doing to follow best practikes for design, ux, navigational flow, on-site marketing, copywriting and photography. you don't need to recreate the wheel, but instead just get inspiration from other existing ecommerce stores, and that's going to save you some time and effort. so what i do when i'm creating an ecommerce store for a client is: i look at what's already out there, but i also keep in mind that nothing truly great and memorable in this world is a copy. so let's just look at these stores as a baseline, in no partikular order. let's hop into it all right. so let's start with spencer badu. spencer badu is a gender-neutral clothing label. his shopify store is really well optimized for mobile shopping. so let's take a look at why that is so. as you can see, his website is optimized for mobile, meaning things are fitting and flowing really nicely on the screen. it's important to design mobile first. designing mobile first means that you're starting off your designs by looking at it on a smaller screen and then looking at how it will appear on a desktop. this might feel backwards, but it is important because more and more people are using their phones to shop. to ensure that your website looks good on mobile, make sure that you're clicking this mobile view button right here as you're designing your store in shopify. alright, so jumping back to spencer's website, he includes an email signup form. it's also great that he includes only a few necessary fields, making this section as concise as possible, which is respectful of people's time when filling out the forms on mobile, and that's also going to lessen the likelihood of people just getting frustrated and exiting out. all right, so let's go shopping. so i'm gonna add this to the cart, and what i like is that he has a pop-up that allows you to tap to continue shopping. this makes it super easy for people on mobile to go back to the main shopping page. now this might seem like a simple addition, but the more seamless that you make your website with small editions, the longer you're going to keep a customer on your online store, and the longer people are on your online store, there's a better chance of a customer seeing that purchase confirmation page. so i'm ready to make a purchase. so let's see how this checkout experience is okay, wow. so this is really easy to quickly update what's in my cart by number or just by completely removing the item, and i have many options: to pay immediately or i can just continue to check out, and when i continue to check out, the form looks super simple and really easy to use. so the nice thing about shopify is that most themes, if not all, come with a pretty standard and pretty seamless checkout experience. whereas with other platforms, custom coding is involved, shopify has this feature already built in. the importance of having an online store that's really easy to use on mobile can be the difference between a lost sale and a purchase. so greenhouse juice co sells healthy, sustainable juices and their website is super functional. so let's take a look at it. all right, let's go over here to navigation. so they're using sub navigation, which helps clean up the main navigation and not make it look too cluttered, and now i can choose to shop by category. having intuitive navigation like this is extremely important in keeping people on your website longer. i know i've definitely rage quit a website because i just couldn't get to where i was going, so try using some of these common categories in your main nav: use shop about contact, the search function, blog and shopping cart in your sub navigation. include product categories different about topics like our story, faqs and locations. and then the footer nav is traditionally saved for items like privacy policy, refunds and shipping, faqs and wholesale inquiries. so a little bit of the drier stuff now. delivery will keep customers engaged during social distancing. delivery can be a logistikal nightmare both for the business and the customer, so they have done a really good job of just simplifying it here. they break down the process in detail and they have a zoning map and contact information for any questions. now i'd like to see more about how they built their store, so i'm going to go into an app called shopify inspector. this is a google chrome app that's free to install, and right off the bat i can see that they're using an app called lucky orange. lucky orange is a shopify app that gives you heat maps of where people are clicking and screen recordings of how people are using your website. you can literally see people shopping on your site with this app, and it's going to help you determine if you need to make any changes to your website so you might be able to see why people are leaving your store or if people are searching for things you just don't carry and if the checkout process is too long. when you get in front of the screen and start building your shopify store, keep these tips in mind and make your store as functional as possible. all right, let's take a look at half moon. they sell yoga props and wellness accessories, and this store has done an amazing job of finding a niche category of products to sell. they went from the general topic of health and wellness, distilled it down to yoga and then they boiled it down even further to props for yoga. now the result of this for any business is a loyal, engaged and focused following. by stiking to a niche, they've also opened themselves up for opportunity to wholesale. you can see that they have a wholesale portal that is password protected. wholesaling is a great way to diversify your revenues, so if you're looking to create a wholesale portal like this one, check out shopify apps like wholesaler and wholesale club. okay, let's head over to vitale. vitale is a jewelry brand with experimental designs. now, the reason that i wanted to visit this page is because they have stunning visuals. look at these lifestyle photos. the styling, the lighting, choice of models and the choice of set are all super well thought out. look at these colors and the camera angles. they've even incorporated the use of video with special effects. now, we all know that video keeps people engaged longer, so make sure that you're including video on your website. this video here is a lifestyle video, meaning the focus is on the feeling of the brand rather than just shoving product imagery down your throat. the reason that this lifestyle content is so effective is because it allows a consumer's ego to identify with a brand's personality. this type of marketing is more complex and definitely more conceptual, as opposed to rolling out a product demo video that you might find on the shopping channel. their product photos are also amazing. it's hard to tell, but i believe they're using a mix of 3d rendering and photography. so, all in all, storytelling through photography will not only increase your store's conversion rate, but a customer's loyalty and how they're going to relate to you as a brand. silk willow is a sustainable wedding decor online store. one thing that they do super well is their level of customer service through customized orders. they have a separate page for custom orders, and the form includes space for customers to narrate what they need verbally and visually through the use of inspirational photos. so this solution of digitally intaking potential customers is a great experience for the client, rather than endless emails back and forth.
