retail settings like pop-up shops or markets. if you choose the shopify like plan, then you won't have a shopify online store or website for customers to visit. instead, you can use the shopify buy button to sell products on a website outside of shopify. think of it as a shortcut for buying your products. when a customer clicks a buy button, it opens a checkout page so they can buy the product immediately without going to an online store. if you use the shopify buy button, then you also have access to abandoned cart recovery. this feature is useful for recovering sales by sending customers a notification if they left items in their cart without completing a purchase. the shopify lite plan also comes with shopify's standard features for point of sale, which is great if you're selling at pop-up shops or markets. in the shopify admin, you also have access to the overview dashboard to monitor performance and the finances report to track sales and payments. if you want to have an online store, then consider one of the following plans. first, the shopify basic plan. this plan is ideal if you run a small business that is new to shopify or if you have a limited budget. the basic plan includes an online store with access to free shopify themes that you can easily customize to build your brand. this plan also includes inventory tracking from multiple locations. locations can be a warehouse, office, brick-and-mortar store or anywhere you store products. with the basic plan, you can track inventory in up to four locations. if you have staff and would like to create an individual login for them, then the basic plan gives you two staff accounts with permissions that you can customize. in addition to finance reports, the basic plan also includes acquisition reports, behavior reports and even a marketing report. this information can give you insights into your online store traffic to help you expand your business. the next option is called the shopify plan and is ideal for growing businesses. the shopify plan includes five staff accounts and inventory tracking across five different locations. through the shopify plan, you get access to lower credit card and transaction [2022 Free] Show The Number Of Products Left In Stock In The Product Page - Easy Shopify Tutorial

bonjour, shopify world. my name is andrew from ecom experts dot. io got the green hoodie, so we're gonna do some coding and in this video, we are going to show you how you can display a little message to say how many elements there are left in stok. we're gonna jump in the code for this and this is useful if you want to create some scarcity and push up your sales by showing how many are there still left in stok. all right, let's jump straight to our online store right here. um so, welcome in our little online store. let me first show you how it currently looks. i can go to products. i will go to the color product because i'm tracking the stok on the color product, so it makes the most sense there. i do view and, as you can see, i have no idea how many black, yellow and red are currently in stok. alright, so i'm gonna close all of that and we're going to get to work. in the description below, right next to the subscribe button, you will have a link and on the link we explain to you exactly what pieces of code you need to paste and where you need to paste them. so i'm just going to copy that code from that document and paste it inside before you start- and this is super important, especially on this video, is that you make a duplicate of your theme. if you're not gonna make a duplicate of your theme, stop right here. stop watching this video. it's not worth it. don't even try. we're going to be playing in the javascript and the chances of you messing up in the javascript are real. by having a backup version, you can just always rely on your backup in case you mess up, and you don't have to hire a developer, and so you're gonna save a lot of money. so, please make a duplicate before you do anything else. we're going to do that by going to online store or right here, and then on the online store, we're going to create on actions and we're going to say duplicate. it's going to take a second and the theme is duplicating, as you can see right here and here is the duplicate version being created. okay, the copy is done and we are going to be working on this version right here. so not on our live version, but on our duplicate version. again, in case we mess up. it doesn't affect the live version. great, you got that, okay, great, so you can just click on actions right here and you can click on edit code. welcome in the code editor. and right here on the left side, we're going to go down to sections. if you don't have sections on your shopify store, it is time to update your theme. i don't have a video for that. you're going to have to contact your theme producer, the person that built your theme, and ask them how to update it. we do it for a fixed fee as well, so you can always reach out to us anyway in these sections. right here we're going to go into product template um, which is right here, product dash template dot liquid. we're going to click on it and basically this is our product page, sort of. so the next element is we're going to copy and paste the html code saying how many items left in inventory. now it's kind of up to us where we want to put that piece of code on the product page. i like to put it right above the add to cart button, and to do that we can do command if on a mac, or ctrl f on windows, there's this little search box that will pop up and we can type in btn. so we're looking for buttons and here it says: here isn't a button, but this button has a class link, medium up height thumbnail slider that does not look like our add to cart. but so we type in enter again. it's going to show us another btn and another btn. you can see. now we're selecting this one. if we type enter yet again, oh here we go. button type: button class link, medium up thumbnail slider. that still doesn't look like add to cart. so let's type enter a couple of more times. we're selecting through them. here's another button: button type submit: ah, this looks like an add to cart button. um name ads or yeah. so this is. oh, here you. product form submit. you see these are are terms related to an add to cart button. so it's pretty safe to say that this button is our add to cart button. that's the little code for add to cart. but so if we want to put it above it, well, you just click right before the start of the code. you hit enter a couple of times so you create some space and then in the empty space make sure it's 100 empty. so not here, because then you're in this block of code, which is something else, right? for example, here or here you're going to paste the codes that i've provided in step one. there you go and there is a nice little commenting right here that says inventory tracking on product page. basically, this code says it looks at the variant id inventory. um, if there's only one, we have current variant inventory quantity, so there's like one or five- it checks the quantity uh in stok. okay, now that that is pasted, we can save it now in case you don't have variance on your products. you're pretty much good to go for this part. there's still more code you need to add now in case you have variants on your product. so, just as our color product there's multiple variants. or if you sell t-shirts, the sizes and the colors, those are all variants. if you have variants on your product, you need to add a little bit more of code right here, um, so let's do that right now. we're going to be pasting that piece of code right above what we've just pasted here. so that's in step 1.2. i guess in the document we're gonna hit paste and this is basically making sure that our little this product is available or showing how many they are still in stok. um, works for all of the variants on your uh product. if you don't have variants, don't worry about this little piece of code. if you do have variance, you need to paste that in. okay, cool, now let's click on save. the next step is where it gets a little bit tricky. we're going to scroll all the way down here on the left and we're going to go to assets. in assets we're going to look for the javascript file, so teamjs, not vendor, not vnc, something like, not password, something like fee, something global. if you don't have team, then try to look for a global name. theme is pretty global. uh, password is just one little fraction of your, of your site. anyway, you get the point themejs. now i'm having the debut team, just um for your reference. and again, here we're gonna do command f on a mac or control f on windows and the search box box will pop up. now in the document i provided a little term called variant change. we're looking for variant change in this folder. now i have two of them, but i'm in the debut team, so for you this might be a little bit different, but on the debut team there should be two of them out of the box. i'm gonna tell you the lines. but the lines is really just rough, because if someone entered and added a little uh spacing somewhere, then the line numbers will be off, so use the line numbers just as a reference. i have a variant change around line number 6431 and i have another one and i have an another variant change around line number 742. we need the one that's around a line number 742 and basically this little comment says exactly what this piece of code does. it's an event handler for when a variant input changes. so when someone clicks on a different variant, that's an event handler. it's going to trigger a new picture and a new price and this and that, and this is the little piece of code that does that. now we need to add our little piece of code to check the inventory of this new variant that the person has just clicked on. in order to do that, we need to insert our code in this block. you see this entire block, toks about event handler for variant input changes, like i said. so our code needs to be in here. this little curly bracket signifies the end of that code, but we're going to put it here right after. if variant then return, we're going to do a couple of spaces to create some space and then we're going to be pasting our first line of code. that should look something like this: paste let inventory hash equal to documentqueryselectorall inventory management, and then a little debug.

How to secure your Shopify store: different levels of access and staff apps.

hi Angelina's here and today we are going to tok about the security issue, which is really crucial for all the store holders. it's the issue of providing access to your store, and what is really good about Shopify that it provides a really great and convenient tool for given access of different levels to different users, and I would really recommend you to watch this video thoroughly and then to check all the XS that you provided earlier. so let's start. you can find all the XS that you provided in the settings account section, and here you can see that I haven't provided any access to anyone earlier. but as for your store, you can find some and just make sure that the success is still necessary and feel free to delete it. if it is not, then I'm going to create a staff account. you can use this option to provide access to some stuff of your company, for example, a Content Manager, or to provide access for some apps for troubleshooting, almost something like this. so I've entered all the necessary information. all you need to know is the email address which you are providing access to. then you see this option. you can provide full access, but you don't have to and it is completely insecure. so just look through the options and the sections of the access that you can provide. I will choose blog posts and pages, navigation and marketing and discounts. that's all. now we can send the invite. now it is marked that the invitation has been sent and your content manager will receive an email, and then all the content manager has to do is to confirm that he can create the account. then click the button. we need to enter the password and the phone number if it is necessary, and then your content manager is creating an account. now. we went earlier store, as we are content manager who just received the excess, and we can see that only the marketing, discounts, lock posts, pages and navigation sections are available to this manager. he can't access orders, products. they are completely unavailable and that's great. and now I've logged in as an account owner and I consider the content manager has already logged into my store. and let's check the permissions. you can see that there are a lot of settings and you can always configure them and change the access, for example, provide access to other sections or delete some access. you can also deactivate the staff account for some time or delete it completely. let's deactivate it. and now let's tok about the access request from the apps that you are using. for example, it can be the issue of tiknical support, when you have some troubles and the developers of the app have to troubleshoot them and in this case they can request access from the special account. then they have and you receive an email notification and go following the link. then you will see something like this: here we can see the really good form requiring the excess. it only requires it access to the products and navigation sections. and again, please make sure that the app developers don't require the full access to your store. it's not necessary at all. then you can again accept, request or reject it if you don't like it. so now the access for the app developer is created and the good thing is that you can see the last time when developers locked into your store, so you can check if they're actually working on your problem or not. and now I again recommend you to check all the XS that you've provided to some companies, and if the last time was just recently, then just make sure you are still communicating with this company. we finished for today. remember that security really matters, so you should always keep an eye on it. then you can offer some ideas or suggestions in the comments to our video, and we will be really glad to see them. if some issue in setting up a Shopify store gets you puzzled, then we'll be happy to help you. so like our video, subscribe and see you later.

Live Inventory Quantity Stock Levels - Shopify Coding Tutorial

hey everyone, my name is shawn. today i'm going to be showing you how to display your inventory live on your website, so let's take a look here. i've selected small and blue and we can see that i have 65 available, and i have a hard faced emoji. if i change my selection here, i'm out of stok with a sad face. here i have only five left for the shocked face. i can do this however many times i like, and so let's jump in and see how we can create this ourselves. i also want to point out that we're almost at 250 subscribers on the channel. i really appreciate everyone's support, and if these videos are helpful to you and you're new to the channel, please consider subscribing. the inventory quantities that we're going to be displaying on our website come straight from the back end on our shopify product pages. if we scroll down, we can see all of these variants have inventory quantities, and this is the data that's displayed on our website. so let's see how we can pull this data and display it on our front end. as always, let's create a duplicate of our live theme. in this case, i'm using dawn. let's go to actions duplicate. from there, i've renamed my duplicate live inventory quantity and then let's go to actions and edit the code for that theme. once we're in the code editor, i want to point out that there's typically a very large javascript file. in dawn's case, the file is called globaljs and typically when you're adding a functionality like we're going to be adding today, you would do so in this file. but because this file varies from theme to theme and not everyone is going to be using dawn, we're instead going to be adding the inventory quantity functionality. uh, completely from scratch and straight to the product page file. so let's go up to our search bar and type in product. we're going to be looking for a template file called product and if you're on a newer theme it'll end in json. if you're on an older shopify theme, it will end in dot liquid. but then from here it'll tell us to go to a main dash product file. so in our sections folder we can find that main dash product and within this file we're going to be able to find our add to cart button, which is the location right above that button that i'm going to add my inventory counter. so if we go and right click and open a new tab- our preview- i'm going to go to my catalog and my products. so right here on the product page, if we either right click and inspect on this button or, if you're on chrome, you can press ctrl shift, c and from there you'll be able to select different elements. i'm going to select my add to cart element and i'm going to go up a little bit in the hierarchy. on the side here and right here i see a data type of add card form and i'm guessing this is pretty unique, this text. so i'm going to copy this text and from there i'm going to search for it in my main dash product file. so i found it here and this is the only occurrence of that text. so i know i'm in the right spot and, to be sure, i'm going to go right after this when statement here and add the text test. i'm going to save that file and then when i refresh my preview, we have our test text right here. so we know we're in the right spot and this is the exact location i want to add: my live inventory counter. so i'm going to delete this test text and in its place we're going to put our logic. remember, in shopify's liquid language we do: opening curly bracket, percent sign, percent sign, closing curly bracket, and that denotes logic. so if we look for the product object in the official shopify documentation, we're going to be using an attribute called productselected or first available variant. so i'm going to copy this and here i'm going to say: if the product that's selected or the variant that's selected, and i want to also get the inventory quantity. so this just leads us to a variant object. so i'm going to click there and within the variant object we can actually get the inventory quantity right here. so i'm going to copy this. so if the inventory quantity of the selected variant is less than or equal to zero, then let's do something. so i'm going to say, in this case i'm going to print out a paragraph and i'm going to say, simply, say out of stok. and i'm going to also do a sad face emoji and i'm going to give this paragraph a class as well of live inventory count. and let's not forget to close our if statement with and if [Music]. i want to add a bit more logic to my if statement. so below my paragraph i'm going to add an else, if. and also, be careful, in this liquid language there is no e in else, if. so just be careful of that, and i'm also going to add one more else statement as well. [Music] this else if statement is going to check whether the inventory is 10 or less. so i'm going to copy this logic up here and change it up a bit. so let's paste that here. so if the inventory quantity is greater than zero and if the inventory quantity is less than or equal to 10.. so this way i want to show a message here that gives the customer some urgency. so i'm going to copy this paragraph up here, paste it here, and i'm just going to change up the wording to say only seven left, just to give them a sense of urgency. and i'm also going to change out this emoji to be a shocked face, surprise, and we don't want this. always. say sound, for example, though, because we want to actually display how many are left in real time. so we're going to copy our variable here and in this place of this 7. we're going to paste that, and in order to call that, we actually have to wrap that variable inside curly brackets and we'll save that. and then, finally, for else statement, the last option, this will just display if the inventory is greater than 10.. so i want to do a paragraph here and we're going to do blank r available, and i want to do my part. face emoji. there we go and let's save that. and now, when we go back to the product page and refresh, we can see that we have 65 available. and now, if we change our variant, we'll notike, though that nothing happens. the only way this updates is if we actually refresh the page. so 88 available out of stok and let's see this one, only five left. so it's working. but it's not working when we change our variant, only when we select, uh, when we refresh our page. so let's get that functionality working. i've zoomed in a little bit here so we can see a bit clearer what i'm doing. if we scroll all the way down to the bottom of our file and go right above our schema tag and give ourselves a little bit of room, we're going to enter an opening and closing script tag and within that we're going to create our own custom object that holds our variance. so shopify already has. if we look back at the documentation and within their product object they already have an attribute that allows us to get our product variance and you can see that it returns an array of the product's variance. so we're going to be using that to create our own object to hold our variant data so we can pull from it in real time. so let's create a variable here. so variable uh, custom variant object, and let's for now set that equal to an empty object. i've written some code here that's commented out just to explain what we're going to populate our empty object with. so our custom variant object is going to be populated with the content from this opening curly bracket to this closing curly bracket and within that object we're going to have a key value pair of our variant id. so we have a bunch of variant ids and the values those keys pertain to are actually other objects. so we're nesting other objects within our object and within that we're going to have our inventory quantity that we can store. but we can also store other things, such as sku title and a bunch of other things. but in this case we're only really wanting to get our inventory quantity. so let's populate this custom variant object. so we're going to loop through all of our variants and push that data into this variant object. so to do that, let's do a for loop. so for variance in product dot variance [Music], let's cl.

this video will show you how to integrate your shopify store with your hubby dashboard. firstly, log in to haboo using the left-hand sidebar navigation. scroll down to the channels menu and click the channels link. find the shopify icon and click there. a pop-up box will appear. click the add shop button. another pop-up will appear asking you for your shop url. as per the example text, the url we require is yourmyshopifycom domain, not your custom domain. if you're not sure what this is, you can get this from your shopify store. simply sign into your shopify store and copy and paste this in the url bar. note, we don't require the https colon. navigate back to ubu, paste this into the field and click next. you'll now be asked to log into shopify through hubu. click the login shopify button. you now be asked to select a location. if you're not familiar with the location settings in shopify, please refer either to the shopify support or to the hubbu faq section, where we've a really useful artikle on shopify locations and how they interact with haboo. if you haven't set up any additional locations in shopify, your default will usually be the address that you set your store up under your business address. if you have set up multiple locations, when you click the drop-down link here. they'll be presented to you. for the purposes of this video, we're using a store that does have multiple locations, and the location where we want habit to send, inventory and fulfill orders from is three princes street, so we're going to select that location. the dialog box should confirm that your shopify connection is complete: hit- continue. it's a good time now to confirm your preferences for your shopify integration with haboo. to do this, just click on the shopify icon and, under the actions field, click on the info icon. you'll be presented with a pop-up box asking you to select the options to process your channel with order processing, product processing and inventory processing fields. for order processing, with three options: default to pull orders by a specific location or to pull all orders. our default will pull all orders, but if you have multiple locations set up in shopify and you wish for haboo to only process the ones assigned to the same location that you've assigned to hubbu inventory, select pull orders by location. the product processing option determines whether or not we'll download your catalogue into the listings- not with haboo section of the hubby dashboard. we usually recommend doing this. finally, the inventory processing field allows you to determine whether or not haboo should control the inventory level shown for your listings in your shopify store. if you've selected a specific location for haboo to manage, the inventory levels will only be sent to that location in your store. the options for inventory processing are disabled, so we won't send inventory values at all to your shopify store. to be linked by the listing id, which is linking the products, by the unique id assigned by shopify to each listing or product variation. to be linked by channel sku, which in the instance of the shopify integration, is usually the same as the sku you assign, or what we call client ski- by client variation ski, which is useful if you have variation products. or to be linked by all possible. if you're confident that you have completely unique skus for all of your physical products, we would suggest a link by client sku. if you're not sure, click linked by all possible. now hit save. your shopify integration is now complete and your channel preferences have been saved.

Shopify - Display VARIANT Inventory Count On Product Page - Dawn Theme, No App

alright, guys. so i recently made this tutorial where i showed you how to display your stok level on your product page. this was like a simplified tutorial for products that did not have variants like size, color, and what you do is simply add a custom liquid block and then, with just a few lines of code, you can display your stok count. however, like i said, it doesn't work when you have variants. so, you see, i'm switching these variants and this number does not switch, and that's because we need more code than this. we need to use javascript to update this number every time when we switch, similar to the price, for example, how it changes every time when we switch. so in this tutorial, i'm going to show you how you can do that, and i'm also going to help you make it a little bit better. rather than using this custom liquid where we add code in here, we're going to make it a whole new block type. okay, so you'll be able to see this new block called inventory count under this drop down. uh, you don't see it now because i'm already using it, but you'll be able to see inventory count and when you add it it will appear like: so you will be able to drag it around, you'll be able to add it to different templates. so it's more useful in that way, and i've also added some settings for it so you can change the color. you can make it red, for example, if you want a sense of urgency- and you can also change the threshold at which this message shows up. so if you only want it to show how many are left in stok when there are maybe less than 10 in stok, then you can do that by inputting the number 10. so now you will see that i only have five left in stok of the 200 mil. but when we change to 500 mil, of which i have 20 in stok, it will disappear. if you want to show the stok at all times, regardless of how many are in stok- so you don't want any threshold- just put the number 0 and it will always show. so here we have 20.. here we have five. now you will need to copy and paste code for this tutorial, and you can find all of that on my site. go to edcodes and then go to tutorials and then find this tutorial called display variant inventory count. okay, and i'm going to take you through the steps. so let's get started with the tutorial. i'm going to switch to a different theme that does not have this work done. we're going to go through it together. the theme i'm using is dawn. if you do have a little bit of coding experience, you probably will be able to take my idea and apply it to any other theme, but if you don't, then i think you will probably need some help from a developer. feel free to contact me and i may refer you to the right person or company here. i am on the themes page and i'm going to go into the customizer for the theme that i want to edit. so the first thing that you want to do is open up the customizer and navigate to any product page- i'm going to navigate to my test product here- and the second thing that you want to do is open the code editor. so click on these three dots here and click on edit code and i'm going to control click to open that in a new tab, because i want to be looking at both of these things at the same time and working on both. so when we enter the code editor, the first thing i want to do is find a file called main product dot- liquid. that's where we will add the block schema. okay, the block schema is what defines a new block, what creates a new type of block. so let's open main product, i mean let's search for main product, the liquid. here it is, and we want to add this code, all of that code, and we want to add it into the schema which is usually at the bottom, which is always at the bottom of of a liquid file. okay, so here's the end schema, here's the um, the start of the schema, and this defines all of our block types. so you can see that there's like collapsible tab, custom liquid text. there's the pop-up block type in dawn i'm just going to go to this one quantity selector, and you can search for it, by the way, using control f for command f, and so after this comma here. so this is the quantity selector block, this is where it's defined. after this comma, we're going to go new line. you're going to tab in, because we want to keep this neat, all in one line and readable, and you're going to copy from here, including that last comma, and paste into here. okay, if it doesn't paste like this, if it's somehow screwed up, you know, if it's like this, try to fix it. you can use tab and shift tab to move things. all the brackets have to be in line. if you see a bracket and you don't see any other brackets, then line this up and after each one there should be a comma, except for the last one. just to explain briefly, this is our inventory threshold setting that i showed you and this one is our color setting. you can hit save. this should appear as a new type of block here. so hit refresh in your theme editor, theme customizer, and click on add block and you will be able to see inventory account. it's a new block, okay, so we've added it, but nothing appears here. right? that's because we haven't actually written anything that should be output when you add this block. we've just created the setting in the schema. now we need to add the actual code that will be output when you add this block. so that's step to create the html that is output when you see when inventory count, meaning when that block is added to the page. so let's go back up and see where blocks are actually added to the page. we can see for block in sectionblocks. and these are all the block types: when app, when text, when title, when price right, when custom liquid, when quantity selector when pop-up. so, as before, i'm just going to put it after the quantity selector. it actually doesn't matter where you put these, but for me just makes sense. i think it's like this relates kind of to quantity. so we're going to do this again. we want it to be neat, we want all these whens to line up, so i'm going to highlight this by holding shift clicking and then i'm going to tab in so that these divs are inside, and then this when, oops. i'm just going to line something. so here's our inventory account block, right at the end, and it says only five left in stok. great, so it's working. let's move it under the quantity selector here, okay, and by the way, this is just the old method that i showed you in the previous video, so i might actually hide that for now, so it's not confusing. i'm also going to make that red, just so we can easily see it and we can test. so it's not working yet for variants, and that's because we need to add the last part, which is the javascript that changes this number whenever we change variance. so let's save for now, and just before we do the javascript part, i want to show you what this code actually says. so this is a div, it's just a container with our section id, and so it's the container for the block, but inside we have an if statement and then inside of that we have our actual text, our paragraph, so you can change this if you want to change the wording, because i know you'll want to change this. you may not only want it to say only five left in stok, you may want it to say we have five remaining, or something like that. so, yeah, that's where you would change this text. so i'll explain what's going on here. here, in between the curly braces, is the part that you should not change. this actually outputs our inventory quantity, so it's the product selected, our first available variant, and then inventory quantity, so that's the most important part. don't lose this part. now. this part is wrapped in strong tags, meaning it's bold. you can remove these if you want. so you would just remove the closing tag and remove the opening tag, okay, and it will stop being bold, and then you, of course, have the text left in stok here and the word only here at the start, so you can completely- you know- remove that and change that text to whatever you want, however d.
