How To Design A Shopify Store In 10 Minutes (Step-By-Step)
having a bad website will kill your chances of success on shopify, even if you have the best products and ads. it's so much harder to see results with a low quality store. so in this video, i'll be sharing the exact store template that i'm using right now to generate over a hundred thousand dollars a month, and i'll be showing you, step by step, exactly how to easily build one for yourself. if you're new here, my name is jordan and i'm currently documenting the entire process of growing my ecommerce brand with as much transparency as possible. so if you're interested in starting your own online business, make sure to subscribe for new videos every single friday. also just want to say thank you guys so much for 50 000 subscribers. so to give back to you guys, i'm gonna do something that i usually don't do. i'm gonna give away a free one-on-one coaching call to one of you. to enter the giveaway, just drop a comment down below, follow me on instagram and dm me. when you're done, i'll be announcing the winner for this next friday. anyways, let's get started with the video. first things first. here are some live results that i'm getting with this exact template. so, as you can see halfway through the day, i've already done over 2500 in sales and if we look at yesterday's stats, you can see that this store is averaging around five thousand dollars a day. everybody is always asking about profit, so let's take a look. yesterday i did around fifteen hundred dollars in profit and today, so far, halfway through the day, i'm at around in profit, which is close to 30 daily margin. i'm not showing this to brag, but just to prove that this layout is working. today, i figured the best way to explain this would be to make a sample store that follows this exact template, so that's what i did. let's have a look at that sample store. so this is a store that i created in the home and garden niche- the type of stores that i like to build to test products look just like this. basically, we're building a nice, clean, branded store with good logo, good images, multiple collections inside of that niche, high quality products and images and, overall, a trustworthy and legitimate feel. i get dms every single day of people asking me: why am i struggling to see results? and then i look at their store and it looks like this: if you take the time to make a nice, clean, branded website, seeing success with ecommerce is going to be so much easier. this kind of store is perfect for testing products because it is branded, it has a trustworthy feel, but it's also broad enough that you can test a variety of products without being too constrained. i like to call this kind of store a hybrid store. it basically bridges the gap between a general and niche store. building a store like this is really not that difficult, so i'm gonna break down how to do it right now. the first thing that you're gonna need to come up with is a clean name and logo. to come up with names, i highly recommend you guys check out this tool called lean domain search. basically, you can take any word or phrase that you like and plug it into here and they're gonna show you websites that are ready to go that have this word inside of it. so in my case, i used the word flora because it fit perfectly for the home and garden space, and i scrolled and scrolled until i found the name flora flow, which i really like. all of the names on this website are available to purchase for the com domain right away, so i would take some time and try to come up with at least five phrases that would fit with your branding. so now that you've come up with a name, you need to create a logo now. i know graphic design might be intimidating to a lot of you, but nowadays there are a ton of tools that make it incredibly simple. one of my favorite tools to do this is actually called canva. canva has a bunch of these logo templates already built into the app, and it's actually what i use to build the flora flow logo. you can literally scroll through their library and find a clean logo for your brand in seconds and know this video is not sponsored by them. i just really like their product. so, as you can see, the template that i use for the floraflow logo is right here. i literally typed in flower. i looked at the options, i found this one and i just simply typed in the logo name and then i made it a little bigger, centered it in the middle and i deleted the bottom and i made a logo for the brand in 10 seconds. now, look, it's going to take you longer than 10 seconds and you shouldn't rush the process, but i would highly advise you guys. use that tool to build your logo. i'm also a big fan of photoshop. for my brand that i'm running right now, i designed my logo in photoshop, but it's a lot more advanced and not very beginner friendly. once you've got a name and a logo, the next step is to build out a nice home page for your store. now, when you're running ads to this store, typically you're going to send people to the product pages. yeah, you might have a cool product, you might have a cool product page, but if your customer starts browsing around your website and they get a weird vibe, they're not going to spend money with you and even if they do, the chances of them remembering your brand and buying again are so slim. so this is the exact layout that i use for all of my home pages. let's break it down. there are a ton of themes to use on shopify and it can kind of be overwhelming. this store is actually built on the impulse theme, which is by far one of my favorite paid themes, and if you're looking for a good free theme, i recommend that you guys check out debutify. i've used both of them and personally i like impulse a little better, but if you're on a low budget, debutify is an amazing option. first things first. we need a nice and clean header. try to come up with something creative that introduces the people to your brand in a very inviting way. now i could have easily wrote the best products for your home and garden, but i think it's much better to put something that has a little bit more flair and life to it. so in this example, i put stylus essentials for the modern home designed to elevate your lifestyle. if you're struggling with copywriting, just go look at some of the biggest brands out there. in terms of this image and all the images on the site, shopify actually provides a bunch of really sick free images and a lot of people don't know about this. so if you go down to image and you click on change and you go to free images, you can search up almost anything. so in my case, i searched up flower and you'll see that shopify has a bunch of these really nice high quality images that they're constantly updating almost every single week, and they're really fire. the next thing i do is typically put one of our collections on display. in this case it's the best sellers, because those are my favorite products on the store, so i wanted to put those front and center and when they click on it, you're gonna see that these are our top selling products and a nice, clean, organized page. we also give them an offer with up to fifty 50 off on the select products, and it's just something that gives them some incentive to click and start shopping. the next thing that i really like to do is show some type of mission statement for the brand. i think that this really helps your customers connect with you and feel like they're a part of something greater than just buying a product. so you can see, what i put here is that we want to help over 10 000 people create their dream environment through providing our own unique products worldwide. now, this is going to be different for everybody, so make sure that you come with something unique for your brand. and once again, i just took the image directly from shopify. now, the next thing that i threw in here: it was just a promotion. you don't need to have this, but i included it because i thought it looked nice, so you can just see it's 50 off of our spring and summer collection. and then i just put a little blurb about stay at home and stay at peace with these essentials t.
How to create a logo for SHOPIFY store
[Music]. okay, guys, so now that you have oberlo installed in your other applications, you're starting to import your products and your stores up and running. one of the key things that a lot of people ask is: how do i get my logo, my graphics, built into the theme? do i need a higher designer? and the answer is absolutely not. i'm going to show you three free tools, guys, right now that's going to help you with this and how to implement them directly in your theme. now, if you remember when you came to shopify and you installed shopify, if you go to themes right here, you can select and visit the theme store to pick a theme that you want. once you install that theme, you can hit customize theme here and you'll notike. there's a lot of aspects about the theme that can be changed now. that includes the logo, that includes different elements like the header image here and images with text here and other aspects, right, and you'll find all of those in the side here like slideshow. it'll show you, um, how to upload an image right here, where to align it, so on and so forth. but the problem is you don't actually have a image. so the way we need to make these images are with a couple tools. now the other thing that you have in here right in your header is the logo. so for me, there are three different tools that help you with the logo, with these images right here to get you up and running without paying an expensive graphic designer. now the other thing that's extremely important is making sure that using images that are royalty free and you're allowed to use um. so first let's start with the logo. now i made a logo already. you'll see it right here. it's called kitchen up and it has a little spatula right here for the design. now, if you go to logomakercom, you can make a free logo that you can use anywhere. so i'm going to actually quickly delete these elements and show you what i did. it's very simple. once you get to logo maker, you click on text. you put up whatever. whatever your brand is, right here. now the important thing is to make this actually quite big, because with kids with a logo maker, they only give you low res imagery right, so they're gonna download it low rise unless you pay. but if you actually increase your pixels, you can get by with a low res imagery because it's downgrading from a higher res pixel. then you can go up here and this is how i make logos. in like two seconds you can type in kitchen, for example, and you'll come up with a bunch of different elements that you can use, and for me i just use this one right here. but you can use anything you want. change this to the color to match your text and then, boom, drag it over. when you drag it over, it will be in line and then you'll see you're downloading here at 1680 949. all you do is hit save. logo maker will download a low-res image for you right to your computer. now i'm going to go back over to kitchen up. i've already done this, so i already have the image. go here. logo maker will have that image that downloaded. you'll see it came up and, boom, it shows up right here and you can make any edits you want and so forth. so that took all of five seconds to make your logo. it looks professional. people will start to trust you based off your logo. now for these images right here. a lot of themes will tell you what the size of the image is. this theme does not, so you'll have to play around a little bit. but i have two tools to make this really simple. the first one is pexelscom. now, what i love about pixels: it's like istokphotocom, except everything is free and royalty free. so you can use any of these images for commercial or personal use and all you have to do, just like logo maker, is type in the type of image you're looking for. i'm just putting in kitchen. oh, look at that, this is great. it has this beautiful chef kitchen, a nice kitchen here. oh, i really like this, the the chef with the ingredients, um, or this one's very nice as well. so there's some great images here that you can choose from. i'm just going to click this one, for example. you'll see. it comes up free for personal and commercial use, no attribution required, so you don't have to call it out, which is great. um, all you do is then go here. i usually download large. you can download the original size whatever you like, guys, it's just don't do medium or small. larger originals usually fine. hit download. that will download my computer. the third and final tool after pixels is canva. this is a kind of like a photoshop style builder. it lets you choo, make social media posts, documents, blogs, everything you need right here, right, super, super simple. or you can do custom dimensions, and i usually do. for that one, we said there's probably like 1920 by 400 height, so i'm going to do that custom size. i'm going to hit design. canva is going to open up a new screen for me, which makes it extremely beneficial to work on multiple items at the same time. i use canva every day for all of my websites- everything, and then you'll see. it came up with this space on the left side. it has different layouts, elements, text, background and uploads. i'm going to take that pixel upload and i'm going to drag it right here. you can see some of my other images for other things i've been working on. i have a huge store front of images based off the different sites we're building. as that uploads- even as it uploads, you can start to drag it over, right, so i'm going to drag it over here and then i'm just going to make it the right size. boom, okay, there we go. it's the full part. you can drag it up and down. i'm just going to try to get these elements right here for now. cool, okay, it's finished uploading. there we go. so that's that i'm going to hit. i'm going to change the title here to kitchen up um. home page slider. right, okay, done. now that's changed and i'm going to download it. i prefer pn, pg- sorry, jpeg, because there's actually a smaller file size. png is good as well, but this is the smallest file size, which will allow your website to load even faster, which is extremely important when people are coming from a mobile ad to your site and you want to make sure that they um don't get frustrated with the load times. so then that will open up and download. i will go back to my theme over here. um, and okay, that's the header, so i'm gonna get out of the header. this is probably under: uh, that's a slideshow below image with text overlay. that's the top one here. i'm going to upload that directly from my download section- kitchen home slider, and then you'll see it uploads. now i'm not sure if this is the right size, guys. um, this is where you have to play around. i might be completely off here, but we'll see in a second. oh, it's not bad, it probably can. uh, it's probably can be a little smaller for what i built, but this is where you have to play around if you're using a theme that doesn't tell you the exact size, but you can see it came over. i'm going to change this to kitchen equipment: boom premium. i'm just going to do premium stuff for now. right, and there you go. so you're starting to build your entire theme out and you just go through the seamless on the left, you go into camera, you make an image, you download from pixels, you build it in and within a day, guys, you can have this all filled out and then you'll see even the some of the products coming up, actually going to go to catalog really quick to show you the products we imported. there they are. oh, did it go back? yeah, it went back to. there you go. you see some of the products coming up and some of our apps that we installed, which is great. so you'll continue to build this out. make sure you hit save and there you go, guys. you can start building your site without a graphic designer. you have everything you need right here to build from start to finish and get up and running. tomorrow i'll go into more details about the applications. make sure we're on track to finish the setup here and looking forward to jumping in to these next lessons. guys, if you have any questions, make sure that you ask them and i'll try to answer them, looking forward to seeing you in the.

ideally, that's exactly what your logo is. your business needs a simple image to act as a point of reference to your brand, and without one, customers will have a difficult time remembering you. a fun way to put your logo idea to the test is to show it to a child and, once it's removed, see if they can replicate it by memory or even come close. the easier it is for a child to remember and draw your logo is proof that you've got yourself a great design. whether on a website, brochure, product or packaging, it's your logo that will greet people and let them know you've got the right company or you're in the right place. your logo is not your brand, but it will become the face of your brand. no matter your budget, you deserve a logo that makes you feel confident and represents your brand in the most authentik way. in this video, we'll guide you through the entire process of creating a logo from scratch, from coming up with a creative concept to selecting the best fonts and colors, finding inspiration and polishing that winning design. we're about to explore how to design a memorable logo in seven steps for free, and that adventure begins right now. before we dive into how to design your logo, i highly recommend that you download this free branding worksheet. use this handy exercise as a guide to help you craft a compelling brand story, starting from a competitor analysis and differentiation strategy to picking your brand name and slogan. this worksheet will walk you through the entire process of building out a memorable brand that makes an impact brand identity. brand identity is a term that embodies all the distinguishing characteristiks of your brand- a fancy way of saying. when someone mentions your brand, this is what comes to mind. these impressions include everything from the language, the style to the sentiment of your overall brand. however, there's also visual impressions that appear when your brand is mentioned. these include colors, shapes, designs, images and icons. a logo plays the important role of taking your brand identity and infusing it into one single image. the main objective of your logo is to allow people to experience your brand identity by simply looking at the design. before you start sketching ideas for your logo, you'll want to have an idea of your brand's identity. a great place to begin is by asking the following three questions: why did you start your business? what core values are important to you as a business and what makes you different from the competition. the objective here is to define who you are as a business. the answer to this question will then provide hints and clues to what your brand should look like or how you should be represented. if you don't quite have the answer to these questions right away, not to worry. this is the groundwork that, once carefully considered, will make for a smoother process when creating your logo. to better understand this process, travel back in time with me to 2014, when my tea company was expanding into a brick and mortar retail store. we felt that it was time to refocus the business and refresh the brand. we started out with an imagination playground, where every idea was put forth in order to collect creative angles and possible concepts. nothing but a few colorful markers, big sheets of paper and creative minds were needed for this stage of the process. start with why. we began the process by putting forth the question of why. why did we initially start this business? why did we feel there was something missing in the market? why did we feel that we could best address the problem and why did we think it was time to rebrand? as the answers began to roll in, our concept started to become more clear. and as our concept became more clear, our identity started to take shape. we were able to curate ideas that aligned with our overall vision. this means every aspect of interaction with our brand will be an exciting and memorable experience, from the t's to the decor and- yes, you got it- even the logo. next, we asked ourselves: what will we do? we had to come up with actionable steps to address the overall gaps we identified in the market. we knew what the problems were. now we had to ask the simple question of what will we do about it. the answers and solutions we came up with helped us better define how we intend to be perceived as a brand. an example of an actionable solution we came up with was as follows: we will become the willy wonka of tea by incorporating a sense of mystery and surprise with our marketing products and packaging. the next stage of our brand identity process was create. at that point, a lot became clear about our brand identity, what we're hoping to achieve and even what our logo concept might look like. the great part about setting the groundwork is that it then makes the rest of the process feel very natural when we shared our why and our what with our graphic designer, he was then able to work his magic in coming up with sketches and concepts for us to consider. in just a few designs, we had finally narrowed our options down to three solid designs that we then thoroughly examined to see which logo would best capture our brand identity. just like that, the bowtie teacup logo was created. this logo went on to become a very well-known symbol throughout our industry and even pave the way for an entire line of custom bow ties and fashionable merchandise over the years to follow. look for design inspiration. now, where do we start? the creative process can usually be quite challenging as we try to develop ideas from nowhere. on the other hand, it can be equally challenging when we come up with too many ideas, thus making it more difficult to make a decision. inspiration can act as a great guide in the creative process, as the people or things that inspire us often breathe life into our own ideas. here's a list of places to gather some ideas and start drawing inspiration from other creative individuals. logoed- logoed. simple single page scroll lets you browse a frequently updated collection of stunning logos. logospire. this vast collection of user submitted logo designs, will help you get your creative juices flowing brand new. brand new is a blog that covers designs and redesigns of new and notable brands across all industries. logo lounge: this blog lets graphic designers upload their latest logos. logo lounge is perhaps best known for publishing a series of books showcasing artwork that's been featured on the site. logo design love. graphic designer david airy curates this design blog, reviewing logos and marketing designs from all over the world. a cool criteria i like to use when evaluating logo concepts with potential is called the sh rule s.

Shopify Hatchful Logo Maker Tutorial 2021
what's up everybody? welcome to a new youtube video. today we're going to be toking about hatchful on shopify. so a lot of my viewers- i don't think- know about hatchfield and even a lot of uh shopify users don't know about hatchful. hatchful is not one of those websites that are well known, it's hatchfulshopifycom, and basically it's a service that shopify offers completely for free for you to create your own logo. so let's go ahead and take take a look at it, and we're going to create some logos here and use them in one of our old websites. i don't know if you guys remember this website. this was a website where we created lighting products for our um, for our uh- lighting store here and, uh, i just showed this. i use this uh theme here- this is the wolf of shopify theme- to just kind of show people how things work, set things up, and why not use this very store or a theme, rather to show you guys how to uh set things up, uh, before we do? just because this looks a little funky, let me just go ahead and click on this here and let me exit this. let me select the second image. this looks a little odd, so i'll just uh kind of save my changes here. here i have my logo on the left. uh, this is the original wolf of shopify theme. uh, obviously it does. it looks a little off right now because everything is kind of uh, the all the settings are kind of out of whack. i got to set up the settings properly, but if you guys want to check it out, uh, kind of follow me through the process. so let's go ahead and click here, get started on hatchfield, um, and let's select what kind of brand this is. so is it a fashion brand? no, health and beauty. no, home and garden. maybe home and garden. maybe, because it's a home style product, since it's lighting, food and drink, sports and recreation, gifts and collectibles, tik, we have art photos, children games. let's go ahead and select home and garden for the first one. let's select next. and i like um, i like this vintage, maybe. look, let's click on that and let's call the business. let's call it lighting, right, so lighting and slogan. i'm just going to leave it empty. let's go ahead and select next. this is for an online store, of course, so let's click continue and see we have different logos here. so, this cool logo, i like the way it looks. we can change the font here. right, we could change the font like this or like this, like this. we have colors, so we can change different colors. right, and i like this color here. we have icons that we can change. um, so maybe if there's like a um, uh, you know, maybe like some sort of light bulb, would be pretty cool as the icon. so let's just see if i could find anything like that, like a light bulb or or some sort of light, so that would be pretty cool. i could, you know, like a moon, and i could hit the download logo button and all i have to do is put in my information. so i'm going to pause real quick and download the logo. okay, so i'm back with my logos here and i have them all downloaded. uh, just a little bit. note to self, guys, after you download your logos from their website, they do take a little while to get to your email address, so just keep that in mind. but now we're going to go ahead and edit the logo on our website. so let's go ahead and click here on our main logo image and let's just simply drag and drop the logo that we want to use. and they come with different uh images here and you can see here it's finally uploaded, so that's exactly how it looks. so, if you're a beginner who is trying to create a basic logo for your website, yeah, they might not be the very best logos on the street, but you know it's free and you can't be free, at least for majority of the people who are starters. now, something that i do want to say- because you guys know i always like to analyze shopify stores and things like that- is that a logo is not going to be the reason why somebody buys or somebody does not buy. okay, now, yes, it has to do with brand image and you always want to put the best foot forward, but if you had a set budget, your ideal set budget, um, you wouldn't want to use that money on the logo necessarily for the first thing. okay, your logo shouldn't be your main focus. your logo should be kind of something that's one of the last things that are being done for your store. the main focus of your store should literally be your optimization, conversion rate. i tell this to people all the time who watch the youtube channel. but focus on your theme. focus on the products that you're offering, the descriptions, you know, the content on the website. these are the things that are going to help you. uh, you know, get a hundred people and convert ten out of them, as opposed to one, or point one or point four. okay, a lot of the people's conversion rates that i see on youtube are in half a percentile, uh, like like a single, like half of a percent literally. uh, and those conversion rates are absolutely terrible because that would mean that for every 100 people you send, you wouldn't even have the chance- or it would be a 50: 50 shot- to convert one single person. now, if you do the math on that, the average cost per click to a website is over two dollars. so you would be spending two to three hundred dollars just to send one person to your website, or a consumer to your website, and there would be a fifty percent shot of you know them converting. so if i had something to say to everybody is: don't focus too much on your logo. your logos are very basic. i like to use text-based logos like this, like you know, kind of just words and just slap them on and they're easy to use and they're simple, um, and they can actually look a little bit classy in certain moments. okay, but you know, don't try to waste energy on things that don't matter when it comes down to building your store. right, i'll tok to you guys later. thank you guys for watching. make sure to like and subscribe, and also check out my other videos. if you want more information on conversion rate optimization, i'll tok to you guys later. thanks for watching, peace.

I do this by using Pinterest or Google search to find other logos that are in the same niche. now, the point I want to make here is to make sure that you are searching for inspiration. I know you wouldn't do this, but you want to make sure that you aren't completely copying anyone's logo and want you to get into any legal trouble here, okay, so now that we have that out the way, let's go find some inspiration. so for our yoga apparel and accessories store, I'm going to head over to Pinterest to find my inspiration. so what I do here is, in the search bar, just type in yoga logo, hit enter and what will happen? Pinterest will come up with a whole heap of images that have a yoga logo tagged to them. so if we scroll here, we can find all these inspirational images, and what I would do is I'll just spend a couple of minutes just searching through and just finding a couple that I like, and then base my logo off of ones that I see here. so let's just search down- and there is plenty of beautiful logos here that we can get some inspiration from- and, just having a quick look, I'm liking this logo with the lotus flower on it, so I might use that for inspiration. I do like this bold text, for example, in this yoga 108 logo here. so now that we've got our inspiration, let's head over to canva and create our logo. so the tool we'll be using to create a free logo is canva. if you don't already have canva, you'll want to sign up for a free account. I'll leave a link in the description below. canva does provide logo templates in a square format, but I find that this format doesn't work well for a Shopify store. so what you want to do is create a custom size artboard. so we do this by clicking there: create a design button, custom dimensions for the width, I would put in 500 pixels and the height, 200 pixels, and then click create design. so from Pinterest, we found that we liked bold lettering and we liked the Lotus icon. so what you can do is just create it- elements here and where it says search icons and shapes, that's clicking notike here. what notike inter and what will appear are images or icons based on what we've searched. so let's have a scroll down and you can see all these different images. some of these elements you have to pay for, but some of them are free. so, for example, this one here is free, this one here is premium, so you have to pay for that element and this one here is free, actually like this one. so let's click on that and when you click on it, it'll Auto populate onto your artboard. let's just resize that. drag it across now. um, so, a yoga brand. like I mentioned, you want a more calm and relaxing vibe. red tends to be a little bit harsh and a little bit of a warmer color, so we want a calm, a color like a blue or green. so what you can do is you can actually change these colors by clicking these buttons up here. I'll leave the black, but I might change this color here to a cool blue. there we go much better. okay, now let's add some text. just click on the text button here. click add a heading and we are going to call our store King and yoga. now, this font is nice, but let's change it to something a little bit more bold, as that's what we liked in our inspiration from Pinterest. so I'm going to click here to change the font. as you can see, canva has plenty of free fonts that you can use. I'm just going to choose a font called now, now bolt. okay, now let's resize them here. let's add some more text and a subheading, and they want to change this font. so I click up here and we want to search for now, and we'll just go to now regular and let's resize that. write it down. okay, now we just want to have a play around with the sizing here, so let's resize our icon. this here: what I might do is just increase the letter spacing and increase the size- maybe 32. maybe we'll just change this end color to be the same as our Lotus, your logo. there we go. I think that's looking pretty good. what I might do is just select all of it and just get it as big as I can on this artboard. then we go okay, so then we have it in. and yoga apparel and accessories logo that we've created for free. now, to save that, all you want to do is you want to go up here to this little arrow and line button, just click on that and you want to download. I suggest downloading it as a PNG, or you can download it, um, as a JPEG if you like. I just like to use the PNG, as it's the highest quality image. just press the download button. so there you have it. here's our logo that we created using canva, completely for free, and it took next to no time at all. so, like I said, just spend that time going on Pinterest or searching through Google to find your inspiration and then use that to create an incredible looking logo that you can upload onto your Shopify store today. so there you have it: a free and easy way to create a professional logo for your Shopify store. have you created a logo using canva? then I would love to check it out, so be sure to leave a link in the description below and I'll go check out your online stores logo also. if this video was helpful and it's giving you the inspiration to create your own logo, then be sure to hit that like button, and if you're after more tips, tricks and tutorials, be sure to subscribe, as I'll be uploading another helpful video next week. okay, bye for now. How to Design a Logo for Your Shopify Store in Adobe Illustrator
welcome back to the series, guys. if you guys are following along with this different short series of teaching you guys how to build a shopify website from start to finish, literally with creating the trial and everything- then, uh, welcome to back. if you're new here, then welcome to the videos. uh, so this video is gonna be showing you how to make a logo for your website. so we're basically just going to create a brand that's going to replicate what the theme shows on the actual thing, with different cameras and stuff like that. so we're going to build a brand around that and it's going to be something cameras or something lenses. so i'm gonna have to create a name here and a logo. so to do this, i'm gonna have to use illustrator. so if you guys don't know how to use illustrator, hopefully this will give you a little bit of basic uh tutorial on how to create just a very, very basic logo for your store, which, if you guys are getting into drop shipping or something like that, where it's not super in-depth, that you need a crazy good logo because it's not a huge brand or business, then this should help you get a very simple logo built for your website. so now what we're going to want to do is just go up to the top file new or control n, and then we're going to make a 1920x10. you can see that these are the settings here. um, it should be make sure it's 300 ppi as well as cmyk, and you will be good to go. so once you've created that, we're going to go ahead and just center this a little bit so i can see what i'm working with. in your case, you probably have a name, which is good, because you're going to want that name to know if it's going to look good with a font. so i'm going to go ahead and go up to the top left and select this first box, which is going to be my fill. i'm going to change that to black just so i can see typing on here. let me go ahead and come up with a name super quick and then i will get right back with you guys. all right, so i have my name, you guys probably have yours. so what we're going to do is go over to the left side of our screen here and click this little t, which is going to be our type tool, or you can press t on your keyboard and just go ahead and click anywhere. um, i don't like to choose and like make a big box. i just like to tap and create a free, uh, editable box and then i'm just gonna backspace and change and type in my name. so i'm gonna go with the name lens pro, just because it's not actually a brand or anything like that. it's just going to be super basic for this tutorial. so now i'm holding shift and the bottom right corner just to drag it and make sure it scales with good orientation, and we're going to make it nice and big so we can see what we're working with. now we're going to do is just double click to select the whole text element here and then go up to our character thing little drop down at the top, and we're just gonna search for a font that we want to use. so i'm gonna go with two different fonts that are in the same family. so if you don't know what that means, basically one is gonna be thicker than the other, basically. so you're gonna have like a bold and a thinner one. so you'll see what i'm toking about. i'm just gonna use, like helvetika, just a very basic professional font that a lot of brands use. so we'll go ahead and use medium here, and then we'll change the pro to a thicker, heavier font. so we're going to go down and we're going to find where we were with the helvetika and let's look for 65, okay. so we're going to look for lt and then we're going to go with the black one here. so now we got this and you can already see that we have the start of a very, very professional, simple looking logo. so now what i'm going to want to do is just a little bit more customization to this. so i'm going to actually just decrease the spacing just a little bit. so to do this, i'm gonna click in between the letter with the text tool and then hold down alt and then tap my left arrow key to bring it over just a little bit, and this is just gonna let me get a little bit more customization to the font. now i feel like that looks good and it's very simple. now the only thing that i need to do now is get an icon or something. so if you guys don't have the in-depth illustrator knowledge or in-depth design knowledge, you're not gonna be able to just create your own. so we're gonna go ahead and go to our internet browser, go to this website. it's called the nounprojectcom. it'll be linked down below and these are gonna be free icons that you can use. so we're gonna search for a camera here and see what we can find. you can see there's a bunch of different icons and super basic things like that. so i think that this little one right here looks very good and will work well with our picture, but i'm gonna go with the one next to it, because this one next to it is a lot simpler and will work better in a logo type. the more simple the better, in my opinion, for this type of thing. so when you click that, it's going to have you create an account. i already have an account, so i'm going to do that and then i will get back with you. so now, once you do that, it's going to bring you here and you're going to be selected on the pro download. this is going to be a three dollar royalty free license. if you want to pay that, if you're going to use this in a logo for an actual brand, you're going to want to pay that license or for that royalty free license. otherwise you won't actually really get the file for a logo. so since i'm doing this for this, i'm not going to pay for that. i'm going to do a basic download. you can do this: create your logo, make sure it looks good and everything, and then go back and pay that a little bit of money. that will be worth it in the long run. so then you have your like, attribution and all that kind of stuff which we're not going to actually download or deal with because we're just using this for a basic logo. but we're going to go ahead and click svg here and that's going to go ahead and download the file in svg. so now when you download it, you might notike that the svg is trying to open- weird. but just right click it and click open with, and then illustrator, and it will open up in your illustrator and you can see here that it's an actual vector file for you to drag around and bring into your other file. so now to bring into the other file, we're going to select all of it, press control c on our keyboard to copy it and then click back and paste it in here. now you see it's small. so again i'm going to use shift, but this time we use shift and alt, and then just click, drag the arrow to size it up a fair bit, and then let's make sure that this is lined up at the bottom. you can create rulers by pressing ctrl r and then you get these nice rulers and you can go ahead and drag them down to create lines. so we're gonna do that and line this up perfectly, and then that way we can help line up this at the bottom. so now that that's lined up, we can zoom out a little bit and see if we can move this over. i'm just using my arrow keys just to move it over just a little bit and see what we got going on here. i feel like for a very, very basic logo for the store. this is a good looking little logo and it should work well. one thing i could do is probably size this down and line it up just a little bit better by putting a ruler on top here and then just sizing it to actually line up with the size of the l. so once that's lined up like that, i'll just move it over. that way it's just more uniform and a little bit simpler, and then we can just go ahead and delete our lines here and zoom out. i'm just holding alt and using my mouse wheel to zoom in and out, by the way. so if you don't know how to do that, and then this is what the basic logo is looking like, and this should work perfectly fine. so now what i'm going to do is select the text here and right click and create outlines. that's going to make them vector files. you can see how they become individual letters that are now outlined. so that's gonna be a lot better for our logo type. and then we'
