Shopify Integration to Business Central | Microsoft Dynamics® 365 Demonstration

In this session, we will be discussing the new Shopify Connect app that Microsoft has recently released in version 201. This app was delayed by Microsoft and is currently only available in the SAS version of Business Central, not as an on-prem extension. We will explore the setup process and synchronization of products, customers, and payouts between Business Central and Shopify. Here are some key points to note:

- You can associate multiple shops in Shopify with a single company in Business Central.

- You can partition off your stock and use a specific location in Business Central to show your available inventory in Shopify.

- You can choose which payment and shipping methods to use and map them between the two systems.

- You can synchronize products, product images, inventory, customers, and payouts between the two systems on a timed schedule.

- Shopify automatically carries out a risk assessment on any order it receives, and this information is passed down to Business Central.

During our demonstration, we created a dummy Shopify store and placed an order as a guest. This triggered a synchronization process in Business Central, which created an intermediary stage for the order. We then processed the order in Business Central, adding shipping information and marking it as shipped and invoiced. This triggered another synchronization process, which updated the order status in Shopify and sent out confirmation and shipping emails automatically.

Overall, the integration between Business Central and Shopify is a quick and easy solution for those looking to sell online and ship through their backend system. It does require some effort to refine the processes, but the basic setup can be completed in a matter of hours. If you are interested in this solution, please speak to our team for more information. Integrating Microsoft Dynamics NAV with Shopify Web Stores

The integration of Microsoft Dynamics NAV with Shopify web stores offers an automated solution that eliminates manual administration. This dedicated solution automates various business processes, including the uploading and downloading of critical data, such as customer details, orders, products, stock, and pricing. The solution also provides notification and alerting capabilities. It is a proven and cost-effective solution that can be deployed in less than two days.

Features:

1. Customer Accounts Management: The solution automatically creates and updates customer accounts in the ERP system from sales orders received via your web store, including new accounts, guest accounts, or existing accounts.

2. Order Management: Once a customer has checked out with a valid payment transaction, orders are automatically downloaded, including key information such as product description, quantity required, customer details, delivery method, and method of payment. Once an order is fulfilled in the ERP system, the solution automatically uploads the order status to the web store.

3. Fraud Risk Assessment: Orders will be put on hold with no stock allocated in the ERP system if they are identified as medium or high risk of fraud. Also, an advisory notification will be sent to an administrator.

4. Inventory Management: When the platform identifies changes in inventory in the ERP system, the solution updates the inventory levels on the web store every 15 minutes. The solution also automatically updates price changes in the web store on an hourly basis. A full product synchronization is performed daily to ensure all product details are up to date in the web store.

5. Watchdog Task: The solution comes with a watchdog task that identifies where the transaction is checked for errors and sends an internal alert if a sales process fails.

The Microsoft Dynamics NAV Shopify integration solution is a powerful tool that can connect to most data sources via ODBC, OLEDB, web services, or an extensive range of supported third-party APIs through connector tools.
