5 Reasons To Choose Shopify Plus In 2022

shopify is one of the better products out there if you want to do ecommerce. it's the reason why almost 2 million stores use it. however, there's quite some mystery behind shopify plus. people don't really know what it is, what it does and why it's worth the upwards of two thousand dollars a month. so that's what we're going to demystify in this video. so, first off, what is shopify plus? it's the highest tier of the shopify plan you can possibly get and it's used for rapidly scaling stores. stores like kylie jenner's cosmetik stores are on it, or netflix or mvmt watches- definitely some brown house names that you know and probably shopped that. okay, so why pay the two thousand dollars a month, you might ask. well, one of their reasons is it's extremely fast and reliable. i hear what you're saying. shopify basic is fast and reliable. yes, but is it if you send 1 million visitors in an hour to it? in 10 minutes? at some point, you want a deaf team to really be on your side and you want the entire shopify team to be on your site. so these major brands: when they do gigantik promotions, they spend millions of dollars in marketing, directing everyone to their shopify site. they want to make sure it's not going to be down and, let's be honest, if you're a heinz ketchup 29 a month or 2 000 a month, you're just gonna go with the two thousand dollars. another advantage of shopify plus is that you can spin up nine completely different stores under that shopify plus account. let's say you are nike and you want nike usa to be completely different than nike canada. well, you could do that up to nine times with different currencies, different main languages, different apps and pretty much a different offer, which is a huge advantage. now let's say you're just on the scaling part. you're not quite high in sketchup yet, but you are scaling really fast. what does it really have to do with you than shopify plus? well, you might be interested in an app called a launchpad or even the automated flow in shopify. you see, with shopify flow- an app that we actually covered in the past, you can automate different things that you do repetitively. so instead of hiring an extra body on your team so that every time a product is low on stok, they automatikally notify the builder of that product to order more, you can just automate that process with shopify flow. launchpad is basically a cool app if you want to create flash sales, but you want to create them kind of in advance and you want to make sure they work before the actual launch date. so this makes dates like black friday or boxing day or any big sale game or events from your marketing team much, much, much easier to work with. obviously you might also be interested in shopify scripts that allow you to pre-code, basically cool little features like buy one, get one free and when you add this to the cart, automatikally add that to the card, and other different types of scripts and codes that kick in on the card page or on the checkout page. so this is a really useful feature. if you know, maybe you don't need an app for it and you can just add that piece of code to your check, okay. so obviously shopify also offers a higher level of service. if you're a shopify plus member, these services can be broken down in four different services, the first one being the sales consultant, which is basically just not really a service. it just tells you: hey, is shopify plus right for you, yes or no? if you're doing over a certain volume every year, they might already be reaching out to you. so you're familiar with these sales guys. then we'll have solution engineers. they will basically help you making sure that if you end up moving to shopify plus, all the systems can work nicely with their shopify plus systems. um, if not, they will suggest solutions or maybe even build some for you. and then, finally, you have the merchant success program with the known shopify account managers, like, for example, the top shopify account manager, steve hutt, and his podcast right here where he toks about, like, what the top shopify stores are doing, and so these guys basically help you out their point of contact within shopify that you can ask questions about. they help you establish road maps, they put you into contacts with app developers that might work well for your store, or designers or just regular shopify developers, and they advise you on how you can grow more effectively. and, yeah, get better bang for your bet. but let's be honest here: where the rubber really hits the road are the lower credit card fees, because, yes, on shopify plus you pay a lower credit card. for example, for all credit cards paid domestikally, you're going to be paying a 2.15 transaction fee plus a 30 cents per transaction, and that is about 10 less than the shopify advanced plan. if i'm correct, for your american express clients and all international clients, you're going to be paying a 3.15 transaction fee, plus again that 30 cents, and if you're using a third party gateway to do all your payments, you're gonna have to calculate an extra point, fifteen percent per transaction, which i guess makes sense because at the end of the day, shopify makes the bulk of their money really on those transactions, and so this is really where the rubber eventually hits the road. although that those apps and those extras and the extra services that you get are really fantastik, you kind of have to do the math, and probably a shopify sales rep has already done the math for you. it's at roughly eight hundred thousand dollars per month in revenue. then it starts making sense to go to shopify plus only only if that eight hundred dollar, eight hundred thousand dollars per month, is in domestik credit cards that are not ammo. let's say that you are making eight hundred thousand dollars per month in revenue but 20 of that or even 50 of that comes through paypal, then it might not necessarily be so much more advantage for you to move to shopify plus. so you see, at that point it really becomes a numbers game and frankly, if you do the math and you do fall into that bucket where it gets more advantage, it can quickly become an absolute no-brainer. i truly hope this video has demystified a little bit of shopify. plus, my name is andrew. make sure to follow me on twitter and i will see you again shortly for another video, adios.

Ways You Are Overpaying For Shopify Without Realizing It

when it comes to starting your own online store. shopify is one of the best ecommerce platforms out there, but the main problem with shopify is that it can be hard to decide which shopify plan to go with, or how much it really costs when you factor in the cost of third-party apps. now, the right shopify plan for your online store depends on a variety of factors, which include your monthly revenue, your required feature set and your customization needs. now this video will enumerate all the costs and benefits for each shopify plan and prevent you from wasting money on unnecessary features, and my ultimate goal here is to help you understand how much shopify costs and choose the cheapest possible shopify pricing plan that meets your minimum requirements. now, the first question i always get asked is: is shopify free? shopify is not free, but they do offer a 14 day free trial, and during this free trial, you can build an online store and have access to all their tools. however, in order to take transactions online, you have to sign up for a paid plan, and right now, shopify offers five plans. there's shopify lite and nine bucks a month, shopify basic at 29 a month, shopify regular at 79 a month, shopify advanced at 2.99 a month. and shopify plus, which costs over 2 000 a month. now, which shopify plan should you choose now? the following table here is actually taken directly from shopify's website and enumerates all the features for each pricing plan. if you look at this table, you notike a couple things. first of all, the shopify lite plan and the shopify plus plan are missing, and the reason is because the shopify plus plan and the lite plan have very specific use cases which i'll discuss in depth later on this video. second of all, there's actually very little difference between the basic, regular and advanced plans outside of a couple of features and processing fees. so, as a result, your decision between shopify basic, regular and advanced primarily depends on your monthly sales volume and how much you value the extra features versus paying for third-party apps. alright, so here are the features available on all shopify pricing plans. now they all offer abandoned cart recovery, and abandoned cart recovery is a feature where your shopping cart automatikally reaches out to customers who abandon their cart and convince them to complete their purchase. now, shopify's built-in abandoned cart recovery feature is extremely limited because it only allows you to send a single email to customers and, realistikally, any serious ecommerce store owner will use a third-party abandoned cart recovery solution, like clayview. all shopify plans also offer a point of sale solution as well. shopify pos, or point of sale, is their point of sale solution that allows you to access in-person payments at pop-ups, markets, fairs and trade shows. and then, finally, all shopify plans offer a free ssl certificate, discount codes, real-time carrier shipping quotes and unlimited products. now let's tok about the plans. if you have a website and you want to sell just a couple of products, then shopify lite is for you, and it's nine bucks a month. so if you run a popular blog or an existing website and simply want to just add the ability to sell a couple products here and there, then the light plan is for you. the light plan costs nine bucks a month. it allows you to sell on facebook and on your own site through the use of custom buy buttons. now, the important thing to realize about shopify lite is that this plan does not provide you with an online store website. in fact, the lite plan is only for people who already have their own website and would like to accept transactions online. so, for example, if i want to sell widgets on mywifecritterjobcom, i might want to sign up for the shopify lite plan so i can include buy buttons on my blog to sell my products. now if i had a popular facebook page or group, i might want to sign up for shopify lite to sell directly on facebook. so bottom line: the shopify lite plan is only for people who already have a website and would like to accept transactions online, and in addition to the nine dollars a month fee, you'll also have to pay 2.9 percent plus 30 cents in credit card transaction fees if you use shopify payments. now, if your online store makes less than 16 333 dollars per month, go with shopify basic and for more stores out there, the basic plan makes the most economical sense until you start generating more than sixteen thousand three hundred and thirty three dollars in monthly revenue. now here's how to calculate the break-even point: the basic shopify plan charges 2.9 percent plus 30 cents in credit card transaction fees, whereas the main shopify plan charges 2.6 plus 30 cents in credit card transaction fees. that is a difference of 0.3 percent on fees. now the main shopify plan costs 79, whereas the basic shopify plan costs only 29, a difference of 50 bucks. now to make up for that fifty dollar difference in cost, you have to process fifty dollars divided by point three percent or sixteen thousand three hundred thirty three dollars to break even in terms of credit card fees. now feature wise. the one major difference between the main shopify plan and the basic plan is that the main plan offers gift cards and an advanced report builder. now, at first glance, the lack of gift card capability sounds like a deal breaker, but there's actually many shopify third-party apps that will implement this functionality for you. so, for example, the bold discount app offers a very powerful discount engine for only 15 a month. now, while the professional reports you get with the main plan are useful, they alone do not justify the added fifty dollar cost of the main plan. now, if your online store makes between sixteen thousand three hundred and thirty three dollars a month- and a hundred and ten thousand dollars a month go with the shopify main plan. in fact, feature wise- there's almost zero reason to sign up for the advanced shopify plan until you exceed 110 000 a month. now, if you look at the main shopify plan, you literally get 99 of the features of the advanced shopify plan for only 79 bucks, which makes this plan the sweet spot for most six and seven figure store owners. now the only reason it's time for the advanced shopify plan at this revenue tier is if you require more than 15 staff accounts, but realistikally a store at this level you're not going to have 15 employees. if you aren't using shopify payments, then shopify charges you a credit card transaction fee, which are drastikally reduced on the advanced shopify plan. so instead of paying one percent in extra fees on the basic plan you only get charge point five percent. if you want to show calculated shipping rates at checkout, then go with the advanced plan. but in my experience showing the exact shipping rate during checkout is overrated. but for some businesses it might be important. now. if your online store makes between 110k a month and 680k per month, go with the shopify advance plan. now. the advanced shopify plan offers the lowest credit card transaction fees of all the main plans, including a couple of extra nice to have features. so, for example, at this revenue level, you're probably already handling your shipping via a third-party vendor like ship station or shipping easy. as a result, it might be nice to show you calculated rates during checkout instead of using a table rate or a flat rate solution. now, if you don't have a bookkeeper or an analytiks member on your staff, shopify's advanced reports will come in handy for projecting your future revenue. but outside of that, you should just stik with the advanced shopify plan until you hit 680k a month in revenue or, if you require the advanced feature set of shopify plus, if your online store makes over 680k per month, go with shopify plus, just for the savings on credit card transaction fees alone. at this tier, your credit card processing fees plummet to only 2.15, which is on par with what you can get with a regular merchant account and gateway combo, but outside

okay, so we'll keep this video pretty short today. if you want to stay up to date with the latest news and trends with the e-commerce shop, I legit BigCommerce, subscribe to this channel and thumbs up this video. but today we'll just be going over the cost of Shopify Plus. this is the advanced version of Shopify. it's made for merchants that are doing over a million dollars a year and will also kind of go over. is it worth it? welcome to the e-commerce playbook brought to you by IWD agency, where we share tools, tips and tactiks from industry leading experts to help you take your e-commerce game to the next level. now here's your host, jill McFerrin. so with Shopify plus, the price will vary depending on your online revenue that you do every year. the starting cost costs $2,000 a month or 24,000 dollars a year, which I notiked a ton of money for her. anybody toward $4,000 a year is a ton of money. I mean it's $75,000 over 30 years. plus. the amount that you're going to be paying is going to go up depending on how much online resume you do. Shopify Plus is really made from merchants doing over a million dollars a year and if you do substantially more than that, then you're going to be paying substantially more than $2,000 a month as well, but so is it worth it. so there are some some different features that Shopify plus comes with. a lot of those you can figure out ways to do on standard Shopify. the biggest difference between Shopify Plus and the standard Shopify is that you get a Account Manager with Shopify plus and you get priority support. I think it's worth it if you get priority support. if your site goes down for even a couple hours and you can lose thousands of dollars of sales if it could be. if it's a big shopping day like a Black Friday or Cyber Monday, it could be hundreds of thousands of dollars in sales. so for the priority support, I do think it's worth it if you do, if you are doing a millions of dollars online. now, if you are an enterprise merchant and you're looking for platforms, I wouldn't just go with Shopify plus. I would definitely look at the other platforms- Magento, big commerce- and make sure see which one's the right for you. also, the thing about it is, once you get up to that level of the enterprise software, there is negotiating. you can do so if you can see but platform is gives you the best features and then see what kind of negotiating you can do as far as give me the best pricing. if you're a smaller merchant, Shopify is a great platform and there's no reason to rush into to go to the enterprise Shopify plus, but if you're a larger merchant, I do think it makes more sense. there are other features that we'll go into in another video that separates Shopify basic from Shopify plus, but you know, the priority support is probably the top feature that I would think would make the cost worth it. we will also go over the difference between all the major enterprise platforms, such as magento, shopify, bigcommerce, and we'll review the features there so it can give you a better understanding about what enterprise software it's best for you. if you liked the video today, make sure to subscribe below and hit us up if you have any questions on our website or you can comment below. see you next time. you.

the other and giving you a brief overview of all their features and tools that both of these websites provide. so, having said that, if you guys want to sign up onto shopify, make sure you hit the link in the description so that you can easily sign up onto shopify and you can easily get your 14 day free trial. so, having said that, let's move on with the video. so first we have shopify. so, as you might have guessed it, after you've signed up, like it's really simple. it's really easy. like over here, you will have a couple of different options. the main options including: add product, customize theme, add pages, and over here, in add products, you'll be able to add new products and in customized themes, you'll be able to choose a theme and add your logo, colors and images to reflect your brand. and then you have add more pages to edit existing pages so customers can learn more about your business. and then, down below- this is an important one- over here, you have add domain. now, what that basically means is that if you have a domain, if you have a website, you should use that, because it is going to be a lot more easier and it is going to help the customers find your online store much more quicker and easily. now, if you don't have a domain, that isn't a problem, because shopify provides their own domain. as you can see over here, this one is my domain now, as you can see, it's not a easy domain. it doesn't roll off the tongue, it's very difficult and it can easily be slipped out of mind, so people will have a hard time remembering this domain. so make sure, if you already have a domain, then you should add one, or if you don't, then go ahead and buy one. they're really cheap as well, and over here on the left side you have a couple of different options. so you have orders. you have products, customers, analytiks, marketing, discounts and applications. so in orders you're basically going to be, you know, managing your orders. you're basically going to be managing the payments of your customers and all the details that are relevant to it, and then down below you have products. over here you're going to be managing different products. you're going to be adding products, deleting products and such and such, and then down below, you have customers, and over here you're going to manage the customer details, managing your customers information and viewing their purchase history. and then, down below, you have analytiks: you're basically going to get an overview of your website and a detailed report on how your website is doing so: total sales, online store sessions, returning customers and online store conversion and many, many more. and then, down below, you have marketing, and over here you're basically going to be promoting your shop through various online campaigns that you could choose from the campaign templates or you can create one yourself. basically, shopify is going to be promoting your shop onto snapchat, on google, on facebook and other platforms that it provides. and then, down below, you have discounts, and over here you're basically going to be adding and managing your discounts and promotions. basically, you're going to create discount codes and automatik discounts that can be applied at checkout for your customers. and down below, you have applications, and over here you're basically going to be adding different applications over onto your store that are going to help you take your shopify game to the next level. so, over here, as you can see, i've added two applications: one is umbrello and the other is facebook. now, these both are very important. i'm gonna go into detail in a little bit, so make sure you stik around until the end to find out. and then, after that, you have sale channels over here. you're basically going to be adding different sale channels. what that basically means is that you're going to be adding different websites, different platforms, and connecting your shopify account with them so that you can sell your online products from shopify over onto that certain platform, such as google and shopify inbox and stuff like that. i've done that same with facebook. i added that channel and i downloaded the application and it works perfectly fine. and then, down below, you have online stores over here. you're basically going to be customizing your online store. so basically, you have themes, you have blog posts, you have pages, navigations, domain and other preferences, so currently i have this theme installed. this is basically the default theme and what you can do is, if you don't like a theme, you can go ahead and find and explore different themes over here in the theme explorer, or visit their theme store where you can buy certain themes. or if you already have a theme that you downloaded from another website, then you can add that theme by uploading the zip file over here, or you can connect shopify with github and then you can do a little bit of programming and then you can make your own theme and then upload it over here. so now that we know a little bit about shopify and all the tools and the features and what they basically do, now let's go ahead and show you how you basically add different products. so they're basically two ways that you can add different products. first one is manually. so basically, if you have all the information of your products and you're selling them locally and you aren't shipping it from anywhere, you're manufacturing it locally and you want to sell it, then what you can do is you can add those products by clicking on the add product button and once you do that, this section is going to pop up in front of you and over here you're basically going to be adding all the details that are necessary for your products to be online. basically, you're going to be adding the title, the description, uploading certain media such as photos and videos, inputting different prices and inventory and adding shipment information, and then you can have different variants of the products if you have one, like different sizes or colors and stuff like that, and once you've done that, your ad will be live now. this was the first way. the second way is much more easier. for the second way, you have to go to the applications and download the umbrella app, and once you've downloaded it, all you have to do is just simply sign up, and once you do that, this is how it is going to look like. so, over here on the left side, you have a couple of different options. so you have import list, you have products, you have orders, you have notifications and then you have find products. so click on find products and once you do that, it is going to take you over to this website over here, and over here what you can do is find your product that you want, and over here, at the top, as you can see, we have certain categories. so let's go ahead and click on watches for now and over here you're going to have quite a lot of different options. so let's just assume that this is the certain product that you want, that you want to sell on your store. so what you have to do is just simply hover your mouse over it and then, if you do that, the add to import list is going to pop up. simply click on add to import list and, as you can see, it turned green, which means that it has been added into our import list. let's go ahead and check it out by clicking on the import list button over here on the left side and over here. so, as you can see, this product was incomplete, so we can either remove it from our list or check back in a few days. let's go ahead and remove that and add another product. let's go ahead and add another product. so let's go ahead and add this watch over here. as you can see, it's added and over here we can see that. now what we can do is we can change the name of the watch. we can add in different variations and keep some variations that we want. we can change the pricing of this product. we can add different descriptions.

Shopify Basic Vs Shopify Plus (Shopify Plans Difference Explained)

so what are the differences between shopify basic versus shopify plus? that's what i'm going to be toking about in this video. all in all, if i really need to make one statement upon the comparison, shopify basic is going to be great for anyone who is just getting started. when it comes to e-commerce, you want a lot of the basic things. you might not have a lot of experience, maybe you've made a few sales, but not too many. then basic is going to be great for you. the good thing about basic is that it does come with a free trial. i'll put a link down below. you don't even need a card to get started, so you can kind of go and navigate around and make the best of what they give you. then, on the other side, shopify plus is going to be perfect. if you are looking to seriously scale. you already have done a ton of sales. maybe you're already using shopify. you can obviously upgrade to that and personally you're doing very well. in a nutshell, as you can see on the screen right here, this is just an example of toking about. if you're using shopify, you can upgrade to getting much more. but on another aspect of the page, they compare the basic versus, well, everything else. so if you look at the column on the left, right here we have the basic shopify- all the basics for starting a new business. then when you go to the right side, we have shopify plus- powerful features for complex, high volume businesses- and that starts at two thousand dollars a month, kind of like what i was toking about before. there is a huge difference when it comes to twenty nine dollars per month versus two thousand dollars per month. there's a reason why it's basic and it's twenty nine dollars per month. given the fact you're probably getting started, a lot of people who have just gotten into shopify aren't going to want to start at shopify plus. you're just going to be really big in the hole. like i said, it's great for high volume. you're doing well, you're scaling and pretty much if 2000 a month isn't a big deal to you, a lot of the perks that you're going to get are gonna obviously help you. you know, get that back and make even more sales. but when we go from this to the left, to the right side, you'll see that you still get online stores, unlimited products, bandwidth and transactions for staff accounts instead of two, you now have unlimited. like i said, if you're doing high volume, big business. that's going to be very helpful. you get sales channels: locations is up to four with the plus, you get up to 20.. then all these are going to be the same right here. you have manual order creation, discount codes, ssl certificate, abandoned cart recovery, gift cards, but no professional reports. you do get that with the plus. no advanced report builder: you get that with the plus. third party calculated shipping rates is just going to be with plus. you get nine free expansion stores: shopify organization, admin, shopify flow, shopify scripts, launch pad. you get so much more as you can see here, and that's just with the features section. there's going to be more when it comes to the point of sale: uh, shopify, pos lite and the pos pro, which is store management tools and omni channel features essential for brick and mortar businesses. usually that's going to be plus 89 dollars per month. this is going to be free, probably given the fact you're already paying a good amount per month. global selling: uh, pretty much everything's going to be the same, except for multiple languages. you can now choose up to 20.. once again, this goes hand in hand when it comes to scaling and just doing so much more, because with this you know you can't really do that. you don't have that option. you just got one, but up to 20 you can really go big. when it comes to selling ecommerce support, you pretty much get all the really good stuff here. so you get shopify plus priority support, merchant success program plus partners, shopify plus certified app partners, shopify plus academy beta programs and, of course, the shopify plus facebook community, none of which you like. you don't get with the basics. so, as you can see, there is going to be a huge difference. basic is going to be: if you're just getting started, you want to get your feet wet. maybe you've made a few sales, maybe you want to start with shopify. that'll be great for you. once again, i'll put a link down below free trial, no car needed, and then, once you really start doing well, heck, you could probably look into shopify or advanced shopify. you know you'd probably want to go on to those and then this is going to be the biggest and best for those companies doing a ton of volume. okay, so i hope that explained everything for you. when it comes to shopify basic, for shopify plus, it's pretty much the beginners versus the elite. you know, advanced, grizzled veterans doing very well. thank you so much for watching. if you want to check out shopify, the link is down below- and have a great day.

shopify pricing plans. hey guys, in this video, i am going to show you all you need to know about shopify and the different pricing plans that it has available, and what are the features that you can find in one that are not going to be available in the other one. so welcome back to the channel and let's get into it now. the first thing you might be wondering is: what is shopify, what are the price plans and what is the difference between all of these different plans that you can opt for on shopify? well, shopify is a e-commerce partner and you can create your own e-commerce store and create your own store in the form of a blog or a website on shopify, and you can not only have your storefront managed by shopify, but all of your internal store, inventories, products- all of that is going to be managed by shopify. now there are three versions that are available for shopify, and they don't have a free version. they start at 29, then they have their 79 version and then they have the almost 300 advanced shopify premium account. so what are the features that are available for all of these and what are the- uh, distinct features that you're only gonna get on the premium versions? well, you can create your online stores. you can add unlimited products on all three versions. so if you go onto your shopify store- and i will leave a link down below in the description box where you can sign up for shopify, so make sure to click on that to sign up on shopify, to create your own shopify account and start selling your own product. so what you're going to do is just sell your products. you're just gonna click on products over here and you can add as many products as you want, and this is the best part about job. if i i started my own scrunchie business last year. i started my own scrunchie business, so i was just selling scrunchies and i added around 158 different scrunchies, and shopify allowed me to add so many different products, even on their lowest paid 39 version- and this is why i actually chose shopify- is that they allow you to use unlimited products, and this is a feature that i find especially helpful for a person like me that is trying to sell as many variety as they can. so that is one feature that i find to be one of the standout features: that you really don't need to worry about the price plans on shopify, but following that, i would actually tell you that if you have inventory location- so if i go onto my shopify account and if i go on to inventory over here in my products, i can add the inventory for a certain product and i can add different skus for the product as well. but you can see that this for this product. this is going to be added to my online store again, but this product- this is not going to be sold once it is sold out. so there isn't going to be a restok on this product. but i can only add four of these uh options for four different physical locations. after four, i cannot add them. on the 30 version. i would have to opt for the 80 version, which allows me to add five different physical locations, and the premium version, which allows me to add age. so if you have more than four different physical locations or pop-up stores and you want to keep track of your inventory, i would suggest that you actually opt for the premium version instead of opting for the 30 basic version. now. after that, if you take a look at the reports, you don't get any reports on your analytiks section over here on your basic dashboard. so you can see that this is a basic dashboard, but if you want detailed reports, like if i click on the report section over here, you can get all of these different reports like your behavior, your customers, marketing orders, profit margins- all of these are detailed reports on my actual account and on the actual reach that i have for my market. so my finances, my inventory and custom reports. i can just click on create a custom report over here. and let's say i want to create a customers by order value, so i want a customer report. i can just click on create customer report over here and now i have a good timeline to see what customers are providing the most value to me as a seller. and this is a feature that is so helpful and i found it to be definitely worth upgrading to a premium version. so you don't get this: on the lowest paid version you don't get any kind of report, and then on the um 70 or 80 version you get the standard reporting and then on the premium version that starts at 299, you get advanced reporting and just with standard reports i find it to be so much more useful for me to retarget my marketing, retarget the customer behavior, see what people are interested in, and it allows me to get a good overall view of my business and this is something that i would suggest is worth upgrading. if you're running a large enough business and if your business is growing, this is going to help you in many ways. it doesn't just help you with marketing, but you can also target sales and acquisitions and see your profit margins and see where you can take some cuts and where you actually are making low profits. now after that, if we take a look at their pricing and the shopify shipping, you get up to a 77 discount on the shell shipping ups or usps on the basic version, then 88 and then 88 on the premium versions, and the issue with the lowest paid version of shopify is that you don't get usps priority mail cubic pricing and that is something that is not really that important. if you're running your own business, you probably have a good idea of how and when you're going to ship your product and it's not going to be that big of a deal, so it's not something that i would suggest that you really need the premium version of shopify. it's fine if you're using the 30 dollar version of shopify to actually understand and go through with your business, especially if you're still just setting up. then you definitely don't need to upgrade for premium shipping only now. after that, you have all of your basic shopify payment systems. you have online credit card rates for fraud analysis and all of that, and if you are using shopify payments, you get a two percent transaction fee. uh, if people don't use the shopify payment methods on your website, so you have to pay two percent on each of your orders. so if i have these products over here and if, whatever the price i may set for them, i would have to pay two percent as they sell speed of shopify. but if i am using the premium versions, it is reduced to one percent on the 80 version and then it is reduced to 0.5 on the premium version of shopify. so that is something to keep in mind when you are creating your um store. and with my large value of scrunchies, when i was selling scrunchies using shopify, i actually found it to be pretty high when i had to pay two percent as a sales tax but, uh, as a shopify fee, you could say. but i found it a lot more manageable paying one percent on each of my scrunchies when i was selling, uh, on the 70 or 80 version of shopify. now, next up, if we were to compare their point of sales, you can see that all three versions have point of sales and with global selling, you can do it on all three versions, but you can only sell it in up to 20 languages. but that is more than enough. so if you go on to your online store over here, you can create it in different languages so you can see that you can create blog posts, you can manage the navigation pages- all of that from over here and you can create it in a different language for a different region of the world and that is going to help you in optimizing the overall globalization of your business. but after that you cannot do international pricing. you cannot do uh international domains on the 30 version of shopify. so you can see over here that if i go onto products and if i just click on add product over here and if i am just selling, i am already selling
