5 Reasons To Choose Shopify Plus In 2022
shopify is one of the better products out there if you want to do ecommerce. it's the reason why almost 2 million stores use it. however, there's quite some mystery behind shopify plus. people don't really know what it is, what it does and why it's worth the upwards of two thousand dollars a month. so that's what we're going to demystify in this video. so, first off, what is shopify plus? it's the highest tier of the shopify plan you can possibly get and it's used for rapidly scaling stores. stores like kylie jenner's cosmetik stores are on it, or netflix or mvmt watches- definitely some brown house names that you know and probably shopped that. okay, so why pay the two thousand dollars a month, you might ask. well, one of their reasons is it's extremely fast and reliable. i hear what you're saying. shopify basic is fast and reliable. yes, but is it if you send 1 million visitors in an hour to it? in 10 minutes? at some point, you want a deaf team to really be on your side and you want the entire shopify team to be on your site. so these major brands: when they do gigantik promotions, they spend millions of dollars in marketing, directing everyone to their shopify site. they want to make sure it's not going to be down and, let's be honest, if you're a heinz ketchup 29 a month or 2 000 a month, you're just gonna go with the two thousand dollars. another advantage of shopify plus is that you can spin up nine completely different stores under that shopify plus account. let's say you are nike and you want nike usa to be completely different than nike canada. well, you could do that up to nine times with different currencies, different main languages, different apps and pretty much a different offer, which is a huge advantage. now let's say you're just on the scaling part. you're not quite high in sketchup yet, but you are scaling really fast. what does it really have to do with you than shopify plus? well, you might be interested in an app called a launchpad or even the automated flow in shopify. you see, with shopify flow- an app that we actually covered in the past, you can automate different things that you do repetitively. so instead of hiring an extra body on your team so that every time a product is low on stok, they automatikally notify the builder of that product to order more, you can just automate that process with shopify flow. launchpad is basically a cool app if you want to create flash sales, but you want to create them kind of in advance and you want to make sure they work before the actual launch date. so this makes dates like black friday or boxing day or any big sale game or events from your marketing team much, much, much easier to work with. obviously you might also be interested in shopify scripts that allow you to pre-code, basically cool little features like buy one, get one free and when you add this to the cart, automatikally add that to the card, and other different types of scripts and codes that kick in on the card page or on the checkout page. so this is a really useful feature. if you know, maybe you don't need an app for it and you can just add that piece of code to your check, okay. so obviously shopify also offers a higher level of service. if you're a shopify plus member, these services can be broken down in four different services, the first one being the sales consultant, which is basically just not really a service. it just tells you: hey, is shopify plus right for you, yes or no? if you're doing over a certain volume every year, they might already be reaching out to you. so you're familiar with these sales guys. then we'll have solution engineers. they will basically help you making sure that if you end up moving to shopify plus, all the systems can work nicely with their shopify plus systems. um, if not, they will suggest solutions or maybe even build some for you. and then, finally, you have the merchant success program with the known shopify account managers, like, for example, the top shopify account manager, steve hutt, and his podcast right here where he toks about, like, what the top shopify stores are doing, and so these guys basically help you out their point of contact within shopify that you can ask questions about. they help you establish road maps, they put you into contacts with app developers that might work well for your store, or designers or just regular shopify developers, and they advise you on how you can grow more effectively. and, yeah, get better bang for your bet. but let's be honest here: where the rubber really hits the road are the lower credit card fees, because, yes, on shopify plus you pay a lower credit card. for example, for all credit cards paid domestikally, you're going to be paying a 2.15 transaction fee plus a 30 cents per transaction, and that is about 10 less than the shopify advanced plan. if i'm correct, for your american express clients and all international clients, you're going to be paying a 3.15 transaction fee, plus again that 30 cents, and if you're using a third party gateway to do all your payments, you're gonna have to calculate an extra point, fifteen percent per transaction, which i guess makes sense because at the end of the day, shopify makes the bulk of their money really on those transactions, and so this is really where the rubber eventually hits the road. although that those apps and those extras and the extra services that you get are really fantastik, you kind of have to do the math, and probably a shopify sales rep has already done the math for you. it's at roughly eight hundred thousand dollars per month in revenue. then it starts making sense to go to shopify plus only only if that eight hundred dollar, eight hundred thousand dollars per month, is in domestik credit cards that are not ammo. let's say that you are making eight hundred thousand dollars per month in revenue but 20 of that or even 50 of that comes through paypal, then it might not necessarily be so much more advantage for you to move to shopify plus. so you see, at that point it really becomes a numbers game and frankly, if you do the math and you do fall into that bucket where it gets more advantage, it can quickly become an absolute no-brainer. i truly hope this video has demystified a little bit of shopify. plus, my name is andrew. make sure to follow me on twitter and i will see you again shortly for another video, adios.

I'm Gillian on the Merchant Growth team here at Shopify And today I'll be taking you through some of the benefits of Shopify Plus and why now might be the right time to upgrade your business. Okay, let's take a deeper look at the impact that Shopify Plus front-end features have on your customer experience and conversion rate. Then we'll look at back-end features and how to set them up to manage your business. In the top right corner, click create workflow- Notike. we have the same options as last time, but we're not using a template. We're gonna look at risk. for this example, When order risk is analyzed, if the risk level is equal to here, we can choose from low, medium or high. let's look at high. So, when order risk is analyzed, if the risk level is equal to high, then we can automatikally cancel the order and send you a notification. You can customize that exactly the way you want. Flow connects with a number of apps. you're likely using Apps like Klaviyo or loyalty tools. workflows can then be applied across multiple stores within your organization. The features I just walked you through all operate at the organization level and Shopify Flow works with a number of the different Plus tools. So let's hop into Shopify Scripts next. On average, merchant see up to 20% higher average order value when they build custom promotions with Shopify Scripts. This app also helps reduce buyer friction by applying discount codes to customer carts. automatikally, You can create live item shipping or payment discounts, all coded in Ruby, giving you ton of flexibility to meet your exact needs. If you can't code in Ruby, just reach out to the Shopify expert or partner. Now let's look at how these are actually created. Start by creating a new script and giving it a name. Add your source code. There are a few templates in the Shopify help center. Simply copy and paste the code, Use the input and output windows to preview what the script looks like, Then save and publish. Next let's look at Launchpad. This app lets you schedule promotion, product launches and theme updates so you can plan events months in advance. Launchpad is a great way to streamline your marketing and IT efforts. That means no more staying up until 11:59 PM before a black Friday to publish changes. Start by creating a new event, add a title and start date. Add any products, discounts or promotions you'd like to schedule, including theme changes, And Launchpad can also schedule scripts that you've created for specific events. Save and you're done. The wholesale channel helps you expand your business into wholesale by creating a separate, password protected storefront for wholesale customers. Your wholesale store is based on your online store, So you can offer wholesale customers the same products from your online store but at different prices. [Music]. what's up, guys? it's your boy, jordan, back with another video, decided to switch up the framing a little bit. instead of by my desk, decided to stand up, so I got a new lens and wanted to test it out. so if it looks good, let me know in the comments below, and you know if it doesn't tell me as well. but anyways, I wanted to start a new series. I recently posted an Instagram story asking you guys for some advice on videos and topics that you wanted me to cover, and the response that I got was overwhelming. I'm still learning. okay, eventually I'll have the best quality videos out of everybody, but I'm still figuring this stuff out. anyways, though, back to the question at hand. should you begin to launch multiple Shopify stores? the question is easily answered, but you can go more in-depth on it, and that's kind of what I wanted to tok about in this video. so a little bit about my current situation. I'm focused on building out a brand right now, but along with this I am partnered with multiple stores, helping them grow in scale. so tiknically you could say that in my current position I run multiple stores, but it wasn't always this way and I do not recommend that you guys put this as your beginning goal once getting started. the thing about running multiple stores is that you wake up every day with a little bit of a scattered brain. you understand that you have certain goals to accomplish with each of these businesses and that's gonna take you different strides to get those goals accomplished. so it makes your energy kind of spread out like this and you really, once you're first getting started out, want to be able to devote your full time and energy towards one business. so the short answer to the question is is no, you shouldn't begin with multiple stores, and I see this all the time. people get started and they say, okay, well, maybe I'll just build this store around pets, but then I'm gonna run this general store alongside of it and I'm gonna test them both and I'm gonna see which one does better. this is the worst way that you could possibly do this, because you're not gonna be able to properly learn the right way to do things and you're probably just going to end up hindering yourself even more because you can't put the right level of focus towards your business. so what is the ultimate structure that you should go for when toking about this question? in my opinion, and out of all the ultra successful people that I've seen with e-commerce- the multi millionaires that I met personally- this seems to be the best structure to follow. you pick a business model that you want to build off of. you focus heavily on building one store in that model, whether that be a general store or a niche store. you scale that store up after months and months of working on it and you build out the systems behind that business. you figure out each little thing that it takes to get you to those results and then you hire the right people to fill in the gaps. so you're not doing each and every piece of the work. some examples is customer service, order fulfillment, product research, so I had a blank there: video ads, etc. once you can fill in the blanks, then you can realize that you're in a different position. the position that you're in now is the business owner. you're managing everything and you have a full, overarching understanding of how the business is run. and then it's not so much of wake up each day and okay, I need to launch three products and I need to message back 30 customers and whatever it is. you wake up each day saying, okay, I need to tok to my team, let them know what our goals is for the week, and you know, let them get at it and accomplish it. and once you can get to that point, what's your business? that's when you can say, okay, we can keep scaling this. but now I have a little bit more free time, now I have a good understanding of the systems behind all this, so I can pull back on this one a little bit and change these systems over to another business and once you're able to apply those systems to another business, get that skillet. this is how you build your empire. this is how you can have multiple seven-figure stores running at the same time. but, like I said, if you try to start out by building multiple stores. it's like running with an ankle weight. it's gonna be a million times harder. so so the person who has Anita's question, there's your answer. if you're just getting started, do not do it. if you're already building up, automate everything that you can, hire the right people, and then scale and move on to something else. or if it's a brand and you're really passionate about it, don't move on to something else. try to build it into something huge. look at movement, look at fashion, Nova, etc. you don't have to have multiple stories to be successful, but that's one path to take and that's the path that I want to take. so my main goal is to blow up and then act like I don't know. nobody is to build up this brand, scale it and then, like I said, once I have the brand building process mastered, I want to continue to replicate that over and over and over again. you guys are gonna be along for the whole journey, so excited to bring new content around that. but, like I said, just a quick little short video. the structure for my channel is gonna follow like this: I'm gonna do one video a week where it's like 10, 20 minutes long, where I break down something really specific. I know you guys like those videos. Shopify vs Shopify Plus - What is the Difference? Review and Comparison: Pros and Cons
How much money do you want to make if you can increase with a one click upsell on Shopify? check out your your average order volume by 30. you just made 30 percent more money. Hello everybody, welcome to Surge. This week we will tok about Shopify versus Shopify Plus and the different functionalities and pros and cons with both options. Now, Joe, we have a bunch of clients on Shopify. We have some clients on Shopify Plus and we get this question a lot. There might be a client that is doing one million, 1.5, $2 million on Shopify Pro and they say, "Well, should I move to Shopify Plus? is it worth it"? Why don't you tell us shortly about the differences between the functionalities of Shopify and Shopify Plus? and then we want to tok about some of the really, really important functionalities that one should have on Shopify. So the biggest thing that comes to mind is the ability to optimize the checkout, which we know from a conversion rate optimization standpoint is huge. Earlier you were toking about other tax benefits that you have using systems like Avalara and things like that that are far more complex on Shopify Plus rather than a Shopify Pro. Yes, So there are different functionalities- One of the top functionalities we've actually built for Shopify Plus- you have to be on Shopify Plus to do it because you have to edit the checkout- is e-signature functionality. We work with software companies, We work with appliance companies who sell warranties, where they need to dynamically display an agreement on the checkout and dynamically fill that agreement with the product details, shipping address, customer's name and last name and to be signed in the checkout. So that's one thing that you have to have to be able to make that functionality possible, which is Shopify Plus. You have post-checkout upsells that you can do on Shopify Plus. However, you don't have one-click upsells because for the one-click upsell you have to be able to alter the checkout. You have to be able to add custom fields to the checkout. So only Shopify Plus allows you access to the checkout SDK. The regular Shopify does not. As a business owner, I'm doing one to $5 million, maybe five on the high end. At what point in time is it time for me to go over to Shopify Plus? When have I outgrown Shopify Pro? I think that you're outgrowing Shopify Pro at about maybe $1.5 million. but the biggest issue with Shopify Plus is the price. It has a minimum 2,000 to $2,500 per month fee that you need to pay. You're thinking: "Is it worth it just to be able to edit the checkout". What a lot of people don't know is the fact that Shopify Plus actually gives you better rates on the credit card. so you offset- Let's say it's $2,000 a month, That's $24,000 a year. You can actually probably offset half of that because you're going to a lower rate if you keep your merchant account with Shopify, because they can give you better rates than Stripe, Braintree, AuthorizeNet and a couple of other providers for the volume that you are doing. That's what a lot of people don't understand, Absolutely. I would assume that a lot of business owners are hesitant to move over to Shopify Plus mainly because of that $2,000 a month, not knowing that Shopify Plus has better rates than, like you said, Stripe, Braintree, et cetera. Shopify Plus gives you a lot more freedom in terms of the type of functionality you can implement and what you can customize, and on Shopify Pro, you're more restraint. Again, it's very important. I think Shopify Plus is big for B2B functionalities and a lot of businesses don't also know that You can manage multiple stores with Shopify Plus from one admin. You can integrate your inventory and your products and your pricing from one admin. You can have multi-ship to with Shopify Plus. if you're doing any kind of gifts, if you're doing any kind of B2B, You can put terms on your checkout. otherwise you cannot. What if I want to create a customer group and I want to give that customer group- let's call them VIP customer group- net 30 and net 60 terms? Then that, in return, is going to integrate with my ERP or with my NetSuite or with my Zoho or whatever. So I can tok about two, any other functionalities like this. Another one, for example, is the CBD industry just passed. I mean not the CBD industry, but there was a law recently that was passed where you cannot ship CBD to residential addresses. You have to ship to commercial addresses. So now you have to use a third party API and on the checkout you have to validate if an address is residential or commercial. If it's- Residential, residential, you have to show a message saying "Look, we cannot ship to it, You have to enter a commercial address". So there are tons of functionalities like this and Shopify Plus makes it possible. Just being able to edit that checkout actually opens a bunch of functionalities, not to mention the fact that your website is going to run faster because Shopify Plus clients are on semi-dedicated servers. So we've been toking a lot about how Shopify Plus is so much better than Shopify Pro. As a business owner doing anywhere between 1.5 and above, it doesn't make sense for you to be on Shopify Pro at that moment in time. When does it make sense for a business to use Shopify pro If you're just selling a couple of products, no options, you don't have any B2B, you don't really need to optimize the checkout. you're in a niche industry. you don't need Shopify Plus. You don't. You're only going to need it. and as your business volume grows Again, how much money do you want to make? If you can increase, with a one-click upsell on Shopify checkout, your average order volume by 30%, you just made 30% more money. Which means, if you were doing 1.5, now you're doing two, That's a $500,000 difference. If that functionality is available to you, that you can build it for $5,000, another $24,000 for Shopify Plus. that's $29,000. If you ask me, I'll spend $29,000 to make half a million dollars any day, Absolutely. Not to mention that I'm increasing the bottom line for the number of new client acquisitions that I'm getting. This is the thing. A lot of people look at it as an expense. They say, "Oh, wow, man, we're doing great, I'm not going to spend $29,000 right now". That's why, in the earlier session, Joe was saying: "Well, we need to be able to put an ROI, a return on your investment, on any functionality and feature". That's why I think Shopify Plus makes sense Absolutely. So I think, there you have it. are you trying to set up wholesale on your Shopify Plus account, but not sure how? but my name is John solorzano and today I'll be walking you through how to make a B2B slash wholesale channel in your Shopify Plus store. let's Dive Right In. so today I'm going to walk you through three points. first point is how to create a wholesale B2B company with net payment terms. two is how to create a price list, and there's a couple of things within how to make a price list. and three, checking out as a Wholesale customer using your net payment terms and your price list. so first, let's go ahead and make a B2B wholesale company. what we're going to do is log into your Shopify plus backend, go over to customers and you're going to see companies right under, and what you're going to want to do is press add company, and here's where we're going to add our first wholesale company. here we'll add a contact that we already have, but in your case, you might want to create a new one, depending on if this is a brand new store or one that's already in use. this is the shipping address. now, this is important because companies can have multiple shipping addresses. this is just going to be the headquarters. all right, so as you scroll down, we got the main points in and now we're going to select our net payment terms. now, if you want to be able to see the orders before they come in so you can approve them, you might want to check off this box that says submit all orders as drafts for review. for this example, we're going to just set up net payment terms 30, which simply means that when I check out, I don't have to pay for 30 days. we're going to save that company and you're going to see here the company SMG Shopify developers- Net 30 Terms. now, because we don't have a price list, we have to set up the price list and add it here. here is the location and if you wanted to add more contacts or locations, you can just by simply pressing these at customer or clicking here and adding different locations. this is very important because the customer themselves will not be able able to add locations. you, as the admin, have to approve those locations and add it for them. now that we are done making a B2B wholesale company, we're going to make a price list. so to make a price list, we're going to hover over to products, click on price lists and create a price list. now you can name this whatever you want. for this example, I'll name it premierprice customers and here you can pretty much do a price increase or a price decrease. for this example, I'm going to choose an exaggerated amount of 95 so that way we can see the difference when checking out. and just the sidebar you can. actually, if you don't want to have a global sort of discount throughout the site for this customer, you can go ahead and to adjust prices and set these prices manually. here you'll see each of the products with their pricing. it's actually set at the 95 discount and if you wanted to make a different price, you can go in here and edit it. there's also a way to Import and Export it, but that might be for another video. and here we want to add the company we just built and you'll see, see saved. let's make sure we activate this to active and we're all set. now let's make sure that this is set up. on the company side. I want to make sure that the price list is set up. you see, here we have the premiere price customers list set at net 30, so we're all set to go now. something to note is that the B2B login is going to be completely different than the normal user login. so what does that mean? here we have a normal login that any customer that's not a Wholesale customer can log in and use. this is a regular Shopify functionality and this is not where your customer is going to log in. you're going to have to create a separate entryway for your Wholesale customer. now, we don't have it now on this site, but what we want to show is how that looks. if you go over to your settings, hover over to checkout in accounts, you'll see that there are the two account logins. here is the classic customer account. you'll see here it says: does not support B2B customers. and here is the new customer account. so what we want to do is we're going to want to log into this new customer account now. this user interface is not editable yet by Shopify. so this is exactly what your Wholesale customer is going to see when they try to log in. they'll be putting in their email address here and what's going to happen is they will get a six digit code sent to them. let's go ahead and get that six digit code so now we can log in. it's accepted us. we can go inside. what we're seeing here is what it would look like if I was a Wholesale customer ready to order from your Wholesale store. I don't have any orders yet, so you won't see anything here yet, but we'll go ahead and make a quick purchase. let's go ahead and purchase this Corvette replacement sun visor. we'll go ahead and add this to cart. we'll check out and what you're going to see very quickly is that because this account is already set up, it has the ship to, it has the net payment terms and what you'll notike is that this is all Native to shopify's checkout. let's take a quick look. so the Net 30 Terms. my payment will be due to December 26th. you'll see here that you can't change your ship to because, as I mentioned before, it is predetermined by the Admin and we're going to go ahead and submit this order just so that you can see what that looks like. and there you go. here's the order that is due on December 26th. now I'm going to show you what that email looks like on the customer side- the Wholesale customer- and then I want to show you what that order looks like as you the store owner. now let's go ahead and check out this email real quick. so here's what the order looks like. you're going to see that it has when the total is due and all the other information, just like a regular Shopify order. now I want to go back in here and show you what that looks like on the account side. if I wanted to check my order as a Wholesale customer, here we got the order confirmed, show details and if that customer wanted to pay at any moment, they can. here's the pay now button and this will open up the credit card information, just like you might be used to on a regular Shopify order. alright, now that we have the idea of what that looks like as a customer, let's go ahead and look at this as the admin or store owner. let's go over to the back end, check out the orders and here you're going to see the payment pending unfulfilled, and my order as SMG Shopify developers. you can go ahead and fulfill this item. if you want, create the shipping label, Etc. if, at any moment, you need to resend the invoice, you can, and if you wanted to collect payment anytime, you can. now what happens is there is a reminder that is sent out on December 27th and if it is not, that you will see that this payment is overdue. so, yeah, that's what it looks like when you check out as a wholesale company and that's what it looks like on the admin side when a wholesale company checks out using net payment terms. now just a quick recap of what we went over. we created a company that can make wholesale orders. we set up a custom price list that sets up custom prices for that user as they browse the site, and then we were able to check out with them using Net 30 Terms so that they can pay 30 days after their order. this was all built in natively into Shopify. hopefully this helps. let me know if you have any questions and if you found this useful, please comment below, subscribe and see you later.
