00:00:46 00:00:51 a post they post a screenshot of their
00:00:49 00:00:53 store basically showing that it has made
00:00:51 00:00:55 $0 or that they have had a ton of
00:00:53 00:00:57 visitors that have visited their site
00:00:55 00:00:59 but they're just not making any sales
00:00:57 00:01:01 oftentimes people ask questions just
00:00:59 00:01:03 like this or like this and they're
00:01:01 00:01:05 basically just saying hey what am I
00:01:03 00:01:08 doing wrong what do I need to do to fix
00:01:05 00:01:09 this to make sales and usually my first
00:01:08 00:01:11 thought is that they almost think that
00:01:09 00:01:13 this is sort of a game right like if
00:01:11 00:01:15 they arrange things just so on their
00:01:13 00:01:17 store or if they do things just so with
00:01:15 00:01:20 their Facebook ads somehow it will

00:04:19 00:04:23 having success hopefully what you will
00:04:21 00:04:25 be able to do is compare maybe what
00:04:23 00:04:26 you're doing to some of the things that
00:04:25 00:04:28 they're doing and see if there's any
00:04:26 00:04:29 crossover there and then you can make
00:04:28 00:04:32 the necessary improvements alright guys

00:04:32 00:04:36 this post actually called out something
00:04:34 00:04:37 I agreed with I have their comment up on

00:04:37 00:04:42 image that they attached and these are
00:04:40 00:04:44 the trust badges that the person decided
00:04:42 00:04:46 to put on their homepage oftentimes
00:04:44 00:04:49 people will use a generic trust badge
00:04:46 00:04:51 like this and that is not a great way to
00:04:49 00:04:54 really get your brand identity across
00:04:51 00:04:56 right oftentimes I tok about using a
00:04:54 00:04:58 branded trust badge I've made videos on
00:04:56 00:05:00 this in the past and I've really told
00:04:58 00:05:02 you guys that you need to avoid using
00:05:00 00:05:03 trust badges like the ones that are on
00:05:02 00:05:06 the screen right now these are things
00:05:03 00:05:07 that a lot of Shopify sellers use these
00:05:06 00:05:10 are things that don't look great on a
00:05:07 00:05:12 store they typically look like a scam
00:05:10 00:05:13 site they typically look like it's just
00:05:12 00:05:16 a generic thing right like it doesn't
00:05:13 00:05:18 actually build your brand so this person
00:05:16 00:05:20 decided to put these on the bottom of
00:05:18 00:05:21 their store definitely not helping their
00:05:20 00:05:23 brand and it could definitely hurt
00:05:21 00:05:25 conversions hey guys real quick so on
00:05:23 00:05:27 one of my recent videos I told you guys
00:05:25 00:05:29 about something new that I wanted to do
00:05:27 00:05:31 on my channel in the middle of one of my
00:05:29 00:05:34 videos basically what I want to do is

00:05:34 00:05:38 print-on-demand mentorship group here on
00:05:36 00:05:40 a YouTube video just to give you guys a
00:05:38 00:05:42 little bit extra information inside of
00:05:40 00:05:44 every video so here is the question that
00:05:42 00:05:46 I'm going to be toking about today this
00:05:44 00:05:48 was posted in my print on demand +
00:05:46 00:05:50 mentorship group basically this person
00:05:48 00:05:52 is asking about my $1.00 PPE testing
00:05:50 00:05:53 method if you guys have not seen that
00:05:52 00:05:55 method I do have a ton of videos on my
00:05:53 00:05:57 channel detailing how you guys can set
00:05:55 00:06:00 this up but basically what they want to
00:05:57 00:06:02 know is will this work in other
00:06:00 00:06:04 countries and if it doesn't then why
00:06:02 00:06:07 here's the thing okay my $1 PPD testing
00:06:04 00:06:08 method works when you use it in the
00:06:07 00:06:10 United States right like when you're
00:06:08 00:06:12 targeting the United States these
00:06:10 00:06:13 metrics that I have set up inside of
00:06:12 00:06:15 this testing method are going to work
00:06:13 00:06:17 best because the cost inside of the
00:06:15 00:06:19 United States is more expensive to run
00:06:17 00:06:21 ads in than any other country if you're
00:06:19 00:06:23 picking a country that is typically
00:06:21 00:06:26 cheaper for CPMs you're going to see
00:06:23 00:06:27 skewed data for your PPE test and it's
00:06:26 00:06:29 not going to give you the insight that
00:06:27 00:06:31 you are looking for basically right like
00:06:29 00:06:32 my PPE testing method breaks down cost
00:06:31 00:06:34 per engagement
00:06:32 00:06:35 it breaks down unique CTR and link
00:06:34 00:06:37 clicks and like I said I'm gonna put a
00:06:35 00:06:38 link down in the description I know that
00:06:37 00:06:39 I'm toking about stuff that doesn't
00:06:38 00:06:41 really have anything to do with this
00:06:39 00:06:42 video so I put that down in the

00:06:42 00:06:46 basically if you are running a PPE test
00:06:44 00:06:47 and you're not running it to the United
00:06:46 00:06:50 States what you need to focus on
00:06:47 00:06:52 YOUnique CTR which is basically a ratio
00:06:50 00:06:54 showing how many people engage with your
00:06:52 00:06:56 ad compared to how many people actually
00:06:54 00:06:58 saw the ad so if you're running it to
00:06:56 00:07:00 another country really focus on that CTR
00:06:58 00:07:02 metric so you can see a ratio of how
00:07:00 00:07:04 many people are actually engaging with
00:07:02 00:07:06 your ad and you might have some success
00:07:04 00:07:08 that way so without further ado let's
00:07:06 00:07:10 jump back into the video the second
00:07:08 00:07:12 thing that I notiked right is I
00:07:10 00:07:14 commented on this post and I asked this
00:07:12 00:07:16 question right here I asked the person
00:07:14 00:07:17 where are you sending traffic to right
00:07:16 00:07:19 like when you're running your Facebook
00:07:17 00:07:20 ad are you sending it to a product page
00:07:19 00:07:22 are you sending it to a collection page
00:07:20 00:07:25 or are you just basically sending it to
00:07:22 00:07:27 the home page here is their response and
00:07:25 00:07:29 as you can see they were just sending it
00:07:27 00:07:31 to the home page oftentimes if you do
00:07:29 00:07:32 that right you're not really going to
00:07:31 00:07:34 have your traffic targeted to what you
00:07:32 00:07:37 actually want them to see what he also
00:07:34 00:07:38 provided me with was a screenshot of his
00:07:37 00:07:40 actual ad which I have on the screen
00:07:38 00:07:42 right now and as you guys can see it's
00:07:40 00:07:44 not a great ad right so people are
00:07:42 00:07:45 clicking it doesn't really get anything
00:07:44 00:07:47 across to them they don't really even
00:07:45 00:07:49 know what what it is that he's selling
00:07:47 00:07:52 because it's just a picture of a random
00:07:49 00:07:53 design right and that's sort of my third
00:07:52 00:07:55 critique of the store which I'll tok
00:07:53 00:07:57 about in a few seconds but all he's
00:07:55 00:07:58 doing is he's sending people to his
00:07:57 00:07:59 homepage I know what they're doing is
00:07:58 00:08:02 they're just kind of getting lost on the
00:07:59 00:08:03 store one of the things that I commented
00:08:02 00:08:05 on after this is I showed some
00:08:03 00:08:07 screenshots of some of the various
00:08:05 00:08:09 products he has on his store and I
00:08:07 00:08:11 basically called out the fact that a lot
00:08:09 00:08:13 of them aren't really niches right like
00:08:11 00:08:14 these are just random products that
00:08:13 00:08:16 don't really have a niche these are just
00:08:14 00:08:18 random designs that don't really have
00:08:16 00:08:21 any emotional appeal to anybody these
00:08:18 00:08:22 are just regular products this person
00:08:21 00:08:25 did not pick a niche that's passionate
00:08:22 00:08:26 enough to actually buy from him if you
00:08:25 00:08:28 guys have seen some of my past videos
00:08:26 00:08:30 I've really detailed the fact that you
00:08:28 00:08:31 guys need to find a passionate niche
00:08:30 00:08:33 right like I've toked about the three
00:08:31 00:08:35 types of when a niche is before on my
00:08:33 00:08:37 channel I've toked about this a lot in
00:08:35 00:08:38 my print-on-demand Facebook group that a
00:08:37 00:08:39 lot of people that struggle with
00:08:38 00:08:41 print-on-demand
00:08:39 00:08:43 don't actually choose a great niche they
00:08:41 00:08:45 choose something that does not have a
00:08:43 00:08:47 ton of passionate people inside of it
00:08:45 00:08:49 and in this example here this person
00:08:47 00:08:51 actually did not choose a niche at all
00:08:49 00:08:53 as you can see this flannel shirt right
00:08:51 00:08:55 here it's not a niche right like he just
00:08:53 00:08:57 basically designed his own shirt it's a
00:08:55 00:08:58 flannel pattern on it and he's hoping to
00:08:57 00:09:00 make a sale to someone who loves
00:08:58 00:09:01 flannels that is not a great strategy
00:09:00 00:09:03 with
00:09:01 00:09:05 Shopify print-on-demand to be truly
00:09:03 00:09:07 successful with this business model you
00:09:05 00:09:08 need to find a niche right like I've
00:09:07 00:09:11 said that about 12 times already in this
00:09:08 00:09:12 video but it's true you need to find a
00:09:11 00:09:14 passionate niche and you need to make
00:09:12 00:09:16 them a design on a product that they
00:09:14 00:09:18 actually want to buy and like I said
00:09:16 00:09:20 when you're doing something like this
00:09:18 00:09:23 you're not truly capturing the true
00:09:20 00:09:24 potential of Shopify print-on-demand I
00:09:23 00:09:26 say it all the time right
00:09:24 00:09:28 print-on-demand is a business model
00:09:26 00:09:30 where you choose a niche and you make a
00:09:28 00:09:32 design that's going to get someone in
00:09:30 00:09:34 that niche have some sort of an
00:09:32 00:09:36 emotional response and come to your
00:09:34 00:09:38 store make a purchase from you and be
00:09:36 00:09:40 super excited to receive their items so
00:09:38 00:09:42 they can go and tell the world that they
00:09:40 00:09:43 belong to that niche and that they
00:09:42 00:09:45 bought a product that represents that so
00:09:43 00:09:47 basically my point that I'm trying to
00:09:45 00:09:49 get across with this video right like
00:09:47 00:09:50 obviously it's a case study about how to
00:09:49 00:09:52 make zero dollars with Shopify
00:09:50 00:09:55 print-on-demand right the best way that
00:09:52 00:09:57 you can make zero dollars with Shopify
00:09:55 00:09:59 print-on-demand is to choose a niche
00:09:57 00:10:01 that is not passionate right or in the
00:09:59 00:10:02 case of this store here that I'm
00:10:01 00:10:04 reviewing is you can choose a niche
00:10:02 00:10:06 that's actually not even really a niche
00:10:04 00:10:08 right this person like I said earlier
00:10:06 00:10:11 they basically just threw random designs
00:10:08 00:10:13 abstract are different patterns and
00:10:11 00:10:14 various things like that on products and
00:10:13 00:10:16 try to sell them problem with that is
00:10:14 00:10:18 that that is not a niche right like that
00:10:16 00:10:19 is not targetable on Facebook most
00:10:18 00:10:21 people who see that on Facebook are
00:10:19 00:10:23 going to have very little interest in it
00:10:21 00:10:25 and you're not going to have success the
00:10:23 00:10:28 second thing that this person did wrong
00:10:25 00:10:29 is that they sent people right to their
00:10:28 00:10:32 homepage right when you're running
00:10:29 00:10:34 Facebook Ads you need to pick a specific
00:10:32 00:10:37 product that you are advertising because
00:10:34 00:10:40 you want them to go through a consistent
00:10:37 00:10:41 and clear path all the way to checking
00:10:40 00:10:43 out on your store right like you want
00:10:41 00:10:45 them to see your ad for a specific
00:10:43 00:10:47 product you want them to click it and
00:10:45 00:10:48 then land on that products product page
00:10:47 00:10:50 so they can buy it right you want to
00:10:48 00:10:52 eliminate anything that could get in the
00:10:50 00:10:56 way of that in the case of this store
00:10:52 00:10:58 this person is basically having someone
00:10:56 00:10:59 go to their homepage and now they have
00:10:58 00:11:01 to sort of look through everything that
00:10:59 00:11:02 they want they have to browse around and
00:11:01 00:11:04 they're going to eventually just leave
00:11:02 00:11:05 right like they're on the store they're
00:11:04 00:11:08 looking around they're not actually
00:11:05 00:11:10 making a purchase so please take some of
00:11:08 00:11:12 this into consideration when you are
00:11:10 00:11:14 launching your store when you're
00:11:12 00:11:15 launching ads and things like that
