Stop Selling T-Shirts With Printful On Etsy/Shopify Print On Demand Stores In 2022
what are the biggest problems facing print-on-demand sellers in the year 2022? it's not the continuation of the rising facebook ad costs or even the big mystery around why some people get banned from running facebook ads. it's also not the continuation of the increases to fees on etsy. it's also not the inability by some to actually get approved to sell products on merch by amazon. in fact, the biggest problem facing print-on-demand sellers is the constant promotion of selling t-shirts by some of the most popular youtube channel. in 2019, i made this video here, where i started to tok about not selling t-shirts. in 2020, i made this video here, where i continued to make that point. and in 2021, i continued with more videos trying to tell people not to sell shirt. on those videos, i got comments like these: it's not about the t-shirt or whatever you're selling. people buy your stuff because they like your design. if they like your design, they'll spend that money. or this one guy who failed with shopify and printful is all over youtube toking about nothing. or even this one here for every here is how to make money video. there is a don't do this or you will lose money video and people wonder why everyone is so indecisive and, honestly, the majority of the people that made comments like that likely closed their print-on-demand store a long time ago because it probably didn't work out. there was, however, a lot of really positive comments on those videos that i just referenced, so before you comment on this one, please watch the whole video so that way you can understand exactly what i am trying to say. so now, in 2022, i am still going, and over the last few months inside of my print on demand facebook group, i've been giving tips and keeping people updated as i've scaled one of my newest stores to over six figures in sales. now i certainly don't claim to have all the answers, but what i do try to do is share some of the most up-to-date information about what's working right now with print on demand. a lot of the other channels out there just sort of recycle content about things that they did back in 2017, trying to convince you that those things still work today. now here's the basic premise of what i do with my print-on-demand stores. the first is i need to choose a great niche. this is what gets people interested. secondly, i choose high profit products and then i make a great design, and the key here is: i really do recommend shopify and i recommend people to go all in on paid traffic, whether it's with an instagram ad or a facebook ad. to me, that is the quickest way to make real money with print on demand in the year 2022, and i know there are other ways to sell print on demand products and i'm sure there are people out there that do very well. i will even address some of those other methods in this video today and tok about why i think, as beginners out there, you might not have as much success with those methods. now, before you say what some of the other people on some of those other videos said, keep in mind i started my first print on demand store in 2016.. i eventually had some success with t-shirts in 2017.. i had a store where i was selling shirts. i was using facebook ads, i was using instagram influencers and i was growing my own social media pages to make my sales. i eventually ended up selling that store on something called the shopify store exchange. this is a website where you can list stores for sale. shopify handles the entire transaction to make sure that both sides cannot get ripped off. basically, what i'm saying is: i've had success with shirts. however, it was a long time ago and then something happened. not only were facebook ad costs continuing to rise, but tons of different print on demand companies started to innovate and they started to offer some much cooler product, and when i say cooler, i mean things that customers were going to get much more excited about. i also mean products that were going to make a lot more profit margins for me on my store. now i've been making print-on-demand content and posting about my journey for a while, and i dug up some of these old posts. this one here was made back in 2018, when i started selling hooded blankets from a print-on-demand company called wc fulfillment. over the years, even throughout 2019, 2020 and 2021, and even now, i've continued to try to sell a lot more unique products that make me a lot more profits on my stores. i'm toking about things like car seat covers from the pillow profits print on demand company. toking about all over print hoodies or other oliver printed apparel from companies like printfy or subliminator. toking about print-on-demand jewelry from a print-on-demand company called shine on, and so many more. if you want to check out some of the other videos on my channel, i show some of these awesome products all the time. so this takes us to today, where i'm still making videos like this, and there will definitely be people out there that don't want to hear it. they want to continue to try and sell t-shirts on etsy or on shopify or wherever, and ultimately those people can do what they want. but for those that are interested in learning some things that might be a little bit different than what you're used to hearing, definitely stik around, because in this video i'm going to be breaking down a whole bunch of things that can help you to be successful with some of these higher profit products. so i'm not sure if i actually said this earlier, but my name is joe robert. i make store members inside of that group. there's a link for that as well down in the description. now, the first reason to not sell shirts in the year 2022 is the saturation, no matter what platform you are selling on, whether it is shopify, amazon, etsy, redbubble or anywhere else- they are all saturated. now, this book here was written by someone named dan kennedy, and he is a marketing genius. he toks about a concept called a red ocean, and this, right here, is a red ocean: tons of different sellers, tons of sharks eating all of the fish, causing the water to be red. if you're starting an etsy store in 2022, you're instantly putting yourself in direct competition with hundreds of thousands of other sellers, and if you're doing t-shirts or even mugs, it's likely that your designs look exactly like everybody else's. that's because with those products, it's pretty difficult to make your stuff actually stand out. in this book, he also toks about a concept called a blue ocean, which is an ocean that doesn't have a lot of sharks in it. there's not a lot of blood in the water, which means there is less competition. this to me, in the year 2022, means building your own website where you are actually off on your own and you're not competing with everybody else on a platform for limited amounts of organic traffic. what i would say to do from there is to build your own communities on social media and go all in on driving paid traffic to your store. some of the biggest print on demand stores out there are doing just that, and one of the keys to actually succeeding with that method is choosing better products, things that make you more profits, and avoiding things like a t-shirt or a mug. now let's break this down. earlier, i mentioned that facebook ad costs have been rising. this certainly doesn't mean that we cannot use them. it just means that we need to do things a little bit differently than we did back in 2017.. it means we just have to adapt and choose new products and get out of our comfort zone and get away from some of the things that we are so used to seeing when it comes to print on demand product. take a look at this study here it shows on aver.
Print On Demand 3 Month Results (Beginner)
I've been trying pretty on demand for the last few months with some not so great results. since the last couple videos, I've been studying the print on demand, YouTube gurus and I think I know what I have to do. for this video, I'm giving myself a whopping 300 budget. so if you want to see how things work out, then make sure to watch till the end. make sure to hit that like button, because it does really help out the channel. let's start by toking about what's happened since the last two videos, because there's some not so good but pretty interesting news. if you haven't already, I would highly recommend you guys watch the first two videos in this series just to get an understanding for what's going on. maybe you can learn from my mistakes. but anyway, let's start toking about what's happened since then. so one good thing is that I've actually been getting some natural exposure onto my Etsy page. I've been getting a little bit of traffic here and there, but I don't have to pay for any of it. so it's really nice to see that somebody's still finding the store. but that's about as far as the good stuff goes. so here's all the bad stuff. I had a really bad experience with shipping to a customer. something actually happened internationally. maybe it got lost or whatever, but I had to figure that out and it was just a whole hassle to do that. after that, apparently printful had some kind of glitch in their system or whatever, but all Etsy stores were disconnected from printful. so that was a hassle. and finally, the biggest one- my Etsy store was closed. it was suspended. I don't know why or what happened. this one was by far the worst one to happen because just out of nowhere, my Etsy store is closed. one day I popped up to try to look at some analytiks and it said that the store was suspended. I hadn't received any emails about it. I didn't have any reason for why it happened. so I obviously sent out a support tiket to Etsy and said: what's going on? I don't even know. after around two weeks they finally got my store unsuspended and it was back there. everything was fine. but it was just really odd that I ran into that. obviously during that time my print on demand Journey had to take a pause. I didn't get anywhere. I didn't get many sales. there was just nothing really going on. after this big hiccup with Etsy I decided maybe I should try a different storefront, maybe I should go over to Shopify, and there were a lot of reasons why not just this one hiccup. since I was already planning on switching from Etsy, I decided this time I'm going to switch everything up. I decided I was gonna go into a different Niche, get different designs. I was going to make a Shopify store instead of Etsy, because there was just too much competition on Etsy. plus, I wanted to see what Shopify was all about. I was gonna try different advertising tikniques and I was going to switch to printify as my fulfillment company instead of printful, because I realized that if I use printify, the prices were lower, the shipping times were lower, the production times were lower and I could just have better profit margins. and the best part about this whole switch up, I'm going to give myself a 300 budget to see if throwing money at a problem can actually solve it in this whole pretty on demand business. the idea I had is simple: I'm gonna make a good looking Shopify store, advertise it well, and then I have a successful print on demand business. that's making me some money and I can just sit back and think about the next sports car that I want to buy- really I, since I plan on starting everything fresh. I needed a new Niche and this time I decided I was going to go with something a little bit more General to hit more people, have a wider audience, so that maybe I can get more sales. this time I decided to go for the pet Niche, but more specifically dogs. I was gonna have clothing with all these funny dog texts or just funny things for specific dog breeds and everything that you could possibly imagine. I was thinking in my head: if I have breathe specific clothing, then I could probably reach out to breed specific theme pages on Instagram and advertise it perfectly there. next was switching over to a Shopify store instead of etsy. now there was a huge learning curve for creating a Shopify store. I've actually never made a Shopify store before and your first time is actually kind of complicated. the main reason I wanted to switch over to Shopify stores because I'd have a lot more control over it. I could make it look any way I wanted, I could change the theme colors, I could put my clothing wherever, and there was just so much more customizability and control over a Shopify store than there was with Etsy. another reason is because I do think that I lost quite a few customers on Etsy. just to like the related searches, people could find other merch that was similar to mine and maybe they bought that instead. and lastly, it was the fees on Etsy that were really killing me. I was losing so much of my profit margins to these fees. it was six and a half percent transaction fee, another two point something percent for processing fee. it was just getting way too high for me to keep up with it. obviously there are still some drawbacks to Shopify. nothing is perfect in this world. as for Shopify, you do have monthly payments. the nice thing is you can have a two-week free trial and that's what I was kind of banking on along with switching to Shopify. I also switched from printful to printify and, as I said before, it's because I could just have better profit margins if I worked through printify. the product prices and the shipping were lower. you can actually choose where you want your fulfillment center to be located, and I actually ordered some samples and found that production time and shipping time were a lot faster than the samples that I got from printful. and the thing is these samples don't even look bad like. these are actually really nice quality samples. here's one of the shirts I made for my dog, Niche. if you want to buy something, let me know I can hook you up. and there's also this really really comfy, nice hoodie right here. it has just a nice simple design in the top left corner, but the quality of my products was actually really nice, so I felt pretty good selling this to other people. if you guys want to switch over to printify or if you want to start doing print on Demand with printify, then go ahead and check the description. there will be a link there where you guys can sign up and start with printify. now we're on to one of the biggest things for print on demand and that is advertisements. this time I had a budget of 300 and I know that might not sound like a lot, but for somebody like me who doesn't make a crazy amount of money all the time and knowing that my first Trials of print out a man didn't go as well, it can be a little bit worrying to just put this money somewhere and say, oh, it might just disappear like think about it. 300 is somewhere around 30 meals from Chipotle and if you're not on the Chipotle currency then I don't really know what you're on. the plan for advertising was to try three main form terms of paid advertising, along with the free social media exposure. the three forms of advertising would be Facebook ads, Instagram ads and theme page or influencer advertising. as for the free social media exposure, I would have to make a new account on Instagram and tik tok for this Niche, for my dog Niche, and try to be posting on there as often as I can. I think if you get a lucky break on tiktok and one of your videos goes viral for your print on demand business, that could actually be really, really amazing for the longevity of your business and for the sales in the current moment. now that you know the ins and outs of this plan that I have, you might as well know the timeline. I was planning to do this all within two weeks because the Shopify free trial ends after two weeks. so with everything planned out and ready, it was time to execute this process and create a successful print on a man business. well,

5 Things You Should Know Before Using Printify
if you've been watching my channel for a while, then you'll know that the print company that i use for my six figure print on demand business is printfy, and while i love printify and still would recommend using them to this day over anyone else, there are a few things that i wish i would have known before getting started with them. so, whether you're already using them or you're considering switching over to printify, make sure to stay all the way until the end, and i'll tell you all the things that i think you really should know before using printfy. if you're new to my channel, my name is cassie johnson. i am a full-time etsy print on demand seller and now etsy coach. i started my print-on-demand business in 2020 and just a little over two years have sold just under thousand dollars worth of t-shirts on etsy, almost exclusively using printfy. so let's jump right in and i'll tell you everything that i've learned. so, if you're not already familiar with printfy, printify is just a website that brings together tons of different print companies all under one house, so when you're taking a look at what items you want to sell on printify, like the bella and canvas 3001 shirt, you would actually click on that shirt and you can look through all of the different print companies that you can choose to have print your items, so they're just a hub that brings together all of these other print companies. the really big benefit to working with a company like printfy and having so many different print companies available is the fact that, let's say, i use monster digital for most of my printing, which is actually true. when they run out of stok of one of the shirt colors or sizes that i'd like to use, then i can very easily switch to a different company to have that fulfill that shirt that has that size and color in stok. there's a few options of how to actually replace that item that's out of stok with a different company. you can either replace them manually, which, when the order is out of stok, there will be a button for you to actually switch it to a different print provider, or you can have automatik order routing turned on. this is something that printf i really pushes for you to turn on and you'll get a lot of notifications for and essentially what it is is, when an item's out of stok, they will actually automatikally choose a different print provider for you and will fulfill that item through the other company. and while that sounds great in theory, there are a few reasons why i actually don't use this at all in my business, and i'll tell you why. reason number one is i sell a lot of group orders, and if you don't sell a lot of group orders in your etsy store, this is your sign. go sell a lot of couple shirts, bachelorette shirts, mommy and me shirts. i do have tutorials on my channel on how to do that if you don't know how. yet the reason why i don't use it because of the group shirts is: let's say you have a group of people order four shirts. they order a small, a medium, a large and an extra large shirt. if monster digital is out of stok of just the size small but they have the other three sizes in stok, then what the automatik order routing will do is they'll send that one size small that's out of stok to be made at a different company, but then monster digital will still make the medium, the large and the extra large. so now that shirt comes from a different print company that might look different and it gets delivered separate and the customer gets confused as to why one shirt is missing when all the other ones show up. this is already a pretty big deal breaker for me, and so that's the first reason why i don't turn on automatik order routing. but the second reason is you don't have any control over which company they choose to actually change the order to be produced. by now, when you have someone purchase just one t-shirt from you and it's out of stok, this might not end up being too much of an issue, but the reason why i still wouldn't turn it on if you're not doing group listings is you don't have any control over who they actually use for that replacement shirt. while there are some great print providers on printfy, there are still a few that i will not use in my business. one of them that i try to avoid is dream junction, for instance. i found over the last two years that they have pretty spotty quality control and i'd rather just not use them. but you don't have an option of saying who you'd like to print the replacements and who you don't. so that's why i leave automatik order routing off and i actually will manually replace each of the items when they're out of stok. that way i can choose which print provider is actually going to be making my items. the second thing i think you should know about printify before using them is there's a few different options as far as when your orders actually start. you can make this a manual process where no orders actually start to get printed until you click the button that says send it to production. you can have it go through after one hour and then they'll start making the shirt for you. you can have it go through every 24 hours or at a certain time every single day. i'd recommend setting up some kind of automatik order approval so you never forget to go in there and actually send them through. at first i had them go through every hour, but sometimes people message you a few hours after ordering and want to change something on the order, and if it's already been sent to production, then you can't edit the order. you'd actually have to cancel it and start a new one which is going to charge you sales tax. so what i do for my business is i have it go through automatikally at the same time every single day. i chose to do at 10 am specifically. the other reason why i like to have these orders go through at the same time every single day is because some credit cards will flag too many transactions from the same company in one day as fraud and start declining your credit card, whereas if you send it all through as one big order once per day. i haven't found any of my credit cards that have an issue with this. and just a side note: using credit cards to get rewards points and all of the money you spend on the t-shirts through printify is a great way to build up some extra income. i do have a link to two of my favorite rewards credit cards down in the description if you're looking for one. there is the chase sapphire rewards card. they offer large bonuses if you spend a certain amount of money in the first three months, as well as a two percent cash back wells fargo card. so definitely check out some rewards cards if you haven't yet, so you can earn that little bit extra money on the money you're spending anyways. the third thing i think you should know about using printfy is that some of their print providers do something called design scaling, and i'll show you exactly what i mean. monster digital is the one who does this most drastikally, so i'll use them for this example. so i'll go ahead and click start designing. when you add a design to monster digital, what this is is you're optimizing what size you want the design for on a size large t-shirt. so if this is how i choose to have my design- which this is pretty close to how i do it- i like to put my designs all the way up at the top and have them come a little bit further out than the collar on each side, and i'll go ahead and click preview. this is how big the design will be on a size large t-shirt, but when someone orders a size medium or a size small, this design is actually going to get smaller along with the size of the t-shirt. i actually ordered three samples for you from monster digital to show you exactly what i'm toking about, and that is these three shirts right here. this is a size large, a size medium and a size small, and these are all in the color ash, if you were curious, which i am absolutely obsessed with. it's actually a really, really cute color. if you've never used the ash color before, i kind of zoom in. it has this really cute kind of texture t.

What You NEED to Know about Printify Shipping with Shopify Basic Plan For Beginners
all right, hello everyone and thanks for joining us today. um, today i want to share with you some valuable information when it comes to integrating printify with shopify. this video is specifically for those who have the basic shopify plan. i'm toking about the basic one, the 29 a month one, because when it comes to setting up shipping with printify, it's going to be a little different and, through my personal experience, i found this to be an easier way to explain it. so first, you want to start off by going to printify and create an account with them. i, for the purpose of this video, i'm not going to share with you how to specifically set up an account printed five, but it's very simple. you go to printifycom, you click start selling and they'll ask you a few questions and you just answer them simply. you put in the email address you want them to use and you create a password. after that, once you have created your printify account, you want to go ahead and connect your shopify store. so, in order to do that, you want to go ahead to your profile little logo over here on the right hand side- and click it. in the drop down you want to go to my stores and under my stores you want to click add new store. when you click add new store, you will see that um, there's a lot of options you can choose to add, so you may want to look into that for the future. if you have any other places, e-commerce places or market places, including etsy, wix won't commerce. there's so many of them. so, for the purpose of this video, we will be connecting shopify, so you would simply just click connect. um, i'm already connected. my store is already connected. so once you click connect, they're going to ask you like two or three questions. they're going to ask you to put in your shopify web address, which would be the name of your store, dot my shopify dot com, not your regular url address, which for me, is hopefully create designs. but you're going to do um, hopefully create, hopefully created designsmyshopifycom. that would be for mine. okay, once you click connect, you will be able to see where you are connected here and for some reason, when i first did it, it didn't connect right away. so what i had to do is- i don't know it was glitching their system- i had to close out all my tabs um, open up a new chrome browser window and redo it, and it did work. so, um, this time of year, and even in this season for us, i know, um, a lot of people are doing drop shipping right now, so it can get kind of busy and you know, just give them a chance and understand that things do happen. so once your store is connected, you want to go ahead and start choosing your products and design them. now what i will suggest is that, when it comes to choosing a product with printfry, this is a very different platform in which there are different print providers and different print providers offer different, different shipping rates. so if you're just starting out with printify, i suggest you choose one product and pay attention to the print provider and pay attention to the shipping for that print provider and go from there. um, for the purpose for well, what i use for my store right now from printfry, i do journals, notebooks, so i'm going to go ahead and click that. once you click on the journals and notebooks, as with any product, you'll have a few options. so i would definitely do my research when it comes to print providers to see if there are any cons or things you may have to manage when it comes to that provider shipping to your customer. so for me, i chose the um spiral notebook here, once you choose that. i will not go into the details of how to design your products, because every product design is different, but they will give you some details on what they're looking for when it comes to the size of the design and all things like that. so i already have some design. i can do that for another video. if you want me to, just let me know in the comments, um, but for the purposes of the video, we're gonna go ahead. i already have some spiral notebooks designed. so i'm gonna go back to my store and you already see i have a couple of notebooks published here. so what i'm going to do is go ahead and click one of the notebooks and it'll give you a few options for mockups. and the reason why you'll see it here, where it says publish, is because once you create your product, you're going to have to publish it to your store, um, otherwise it will be saved as a draft and will be placed under unpublished. so once your product is published to your store- this is where, um the information comes into play- you're going to want to set up shipping, and the way that they show you to do it is to set it up, excuse me, using the shipping calculator. so i'm going to go ahead over to settings or go back to my store, excuse me. and it says manage my store. so i'm going to click the settings tab here and when i click it for shipping, it printf wants to directly send you over to the shipping calculator, which is a seamless way to integrate your shipping from printfi to shopify. so go ahead and click that button. okay, so this is the message that popped up for me, because i have the base shopify plan. you can see a red bunch has popped up and therefore i am not able to use this feature. and again, i found this out through research and i'm trying to let you know before you run into these problems and how to fix them, because if you don't set up shipping once you have even published your product to shopify, your customer will not be able to check out. they'll be able to see the product, but they will not be able to check out products. so i'm gonna go ahead over to my shopify admin page and go ahead over to settings. well, actually, for, excuse me, go ahead and go to your apps and when you go to your app, you should be able to click file your printify app on the app store and therefore make sure it works, make sure the um features work on your app on shopify. if it doesn't, you know, just simply contact them. sometimes you have to wait a little bit. so this is the app on my shopify store which is right here. so we're gonna go ahead and jump right into shipping. so, in order to set up the shipping um with some print providers, once you publish your product to your shopify store, the shipping automatikally integrates um with printify. when you have the basic shopify plan, it does not. you have to do a few things manual, but it's nothing too complicated. so go ahead over to shipping and delivery and, like i said, you want to choose just one product when you're starting out, because you're going to have to create a separate shipping profile. so i have already done that. but in order to create a new profile, you're just going to click create new profile, which should be right under shipping- custom shipping rates- and go ahead and click create new profile. here you're going to type in the name of the profile. so let's just say you want to do printify t-shirts, so that's the title of your new printing category. then, if you've already published your products over, which is the only way you're going to be able to see them on shopify. you want to go ahead and to add products, and it's going to give you a list of all the products you have in the store. so go ahead and click on the products that you publish to shopify from printful and i just you know, go ahead and click for the purpose of the video. i'll go ahead and put in my t-shirts, all right, so i'm gonna go ahead and just click this first t-shirt for the purpose of the video and i'm to click. done so, here we have the product that is going to be set up for shipping from there. you want to go ahead and choose where you're shipping from. now. this is where you want to choose- just printify. so you want to go ahead and if you have any that automatikally connected over here, you want to go ahead and remove any other rates. go ahead and remove the printful app, remove time, okay. so now we have just what we need for setting up shipping, which is just printify. so now you have shipping from, and now you have to set up shipping too, so you want to go ahead and create.
How To Connect Printify On Shopify Tutorial
in this video i'm going to show you how to connect printfy head to shopify. select apps, recommended apps. go to shopify app store. you can alternatively open a browser tab, search shopify app store or directly in the url tab which exists in the top corner: appsshop5.com. come to the search tab and search the following: friend defy. after that, select this one. make sure it's by printify. you can view the demo store by clicking view demo store. as you can see, parentify allows you to actually print shirts and have cool clothes without worrying about shipping or printing them at all. as you can see, you can have wide custom product selection, print partner network, fulfillment and drop shipping. now go ahead. click add app. after adding the app, make sure that you install it and you allow it to have some settings. install app on the top right corner and then you will be prompted with this page. in this page, look for the following: you can either use the setup guide, which is going to guide you through the whole process of installation, or just connect your google account, and then you will be able to sign up and start earning for free. you can even open full site on the top right corner to avoid any problems, bugs or something like that. so now choose the following: you can fill out this information for yourself, as you can see right here. here it is, as i said, you can open the full size on the top right corner and then you will be prompted with this. you can sign up and do whatever it is to actually change any settings. head to apps: printify- then you will be prompted with this page. in this page you can find, as you can see, print file right here, and that's basically it. you can have your orders, as you can see. allow automated orders. click on enable. you can automatikally set them. email performance. click save. you can have products. yeah, that's basically it. to create a product, click on create a product. and see you guys, another video.

so you're trying to figure out how you are going to set up shipping and really trying to understand the ins and out of your print-on-demand shipping, specifically for printfy what is up, define squad- are staying safe and you are well out there. thank you for tuning in so you guys know that i love making my t-shirts. okay, that is my business and, as of recently, i switched from fulfilling everything myself and my at home business to printify the print on demand method. now, with using printfi or print on demand platform, there's going to be some new learning curves that you're going to have to understand so that way you can run your business successfully and have a peace of mind with doing that. in today's video, i'm going to be breaking down principle shipping and i'm going to really explain with you guys so that way you know when you want to get started, you have a full understanding of how principle shipping goes and you can run your business. honey, in your sleep, let's get into it, okay, guys? so in today's video. i have my phone, so, if you just catch me looking down, i just really want to make sure i have really thorough notes so that you guys can retain this. okay, like i want y'all to get this and you could just take off, all right. so, when it comes to shipping, let's just tok about a few things so that you can understand what you need to look out for to really optimize your profit and your customer experience and your business experience too, you guys, because you know, using a print on demand platform, having someone else fulfill your products for you, you have to make sure that you really know, like, the nuts and bolts when it comes to how that business runs, so that way you can run your business. okay, so let me go ahead and tok about some key things that i've just learned over the time and i've really ingrained in myself, so that way i know how to tok to you guys about it and you can understand this as well, okay, so, when it comes to print on demand and shipping, keep in mind of how much they're charging for sad products, okay, so i'm gonna go ahead and use t-shirts as an example. keep in mind, when it comes to t-shirts, different suppliers will charge you different prices as far as production prices, when it comes to how much does it cost to get this shirt made, things you need to keep in mind, and all that fancy stuff, okay? so i always say this and i'm going to keep saying it throughout this video. i don't mean to sound like a broken record, but everything is going to come down to your budget, okay, you guys. so what you may see me show here in just a second when i share my screen, it's not going to apply to everybody. and always stay on your budget whenever you're using a print-on-demand source, because it's always important that you do what you do for your financial goals. but when it comes to your products and the products that you're choosing to have made, just keep in mind how much they're going to cost on that print-on-demand platform. so, for example, if you know a t-shirt, it's gonna be like nine dollars and your shipping is going to be like four dollars. you know that might be a good threshold for you to get started, because now you know, okay, it's going to cost me around 13 and some change to get this product going is going to cost me on my bank account and things like that, what you don't want to do in the beginning, especially if your budget is tight, is go for the most expensive products, because now you're going to run into having to offset that and charging more to receive a nice profit. okay, so that's the first thing i wanted to tok about is just really diving into knowing how much your products are going to cost you when it comes out of your bank account, which i'm going to get to in here in a second- but knowing how much products are going to cost you when it comes to the fulfillment and the whole process, okay, cool, let's move on to the next point. okay, so once you pick your product for your t-shirts or whatever, and you understand and accept like you're gonna be charged this set amount, what you also want to keep in mind is how long this print provider typically takes when it comes to fulfilling and producing your shirt. okay, so you want to make sure that you understand, like their average business time, their average order time, their turnaround time, all the time. okay, you want to make sure that you know how long it's going to take the print provider to fulfill your shirt, get it to your customer and all that stuff too. so i wanted to point that out because you know, although i'm here to tok about shipping and the fees, this is also in conjunction with it. so i want you to know that you have to look out for this because you want to make sure that these providers aren't taking too long, i should say, to fulfill your shirt and you have an understanding so that if a customer is inquiring about oh, where's my product- i bought this a week ago, i was expecting it- you need to know how long it's going to take to make that product. okay, so just keep that in mind as well. so now i want to tok about the most important piece of this video, which is going to be the money, the budget, the fees, all that good stuff when it comes to shipping- because this is going to be the meat and potatoes of this video- and what you really need to ingrain when it comes to running your business using print-on-demand, specifically printfive. so let me just say this again, okay, because i mentioned it before and i want you guys to understand this: your budget is important. make sure you know where you are when you start a print-on-demand business, you guys, and take it for me. i've learned the hard way. i've messed up. it cost me money. that's what happens when you don't educate yourself: you're going to lose money, okay. so i say that to say when it comes to printify. pretty much i'm not sure if all of them goes like this, but i know, prince, if i does this, when you are using a another you know service to fulfill your shirts, of course they're going to charge you their fees. that money comes out of your account- your business bank account or your personal, whatever you're starting off with- so that money is going to come out of your account physically, your account. in fact, printify has a place where you can set up what payment method you want to use. you can integrate and link your paypal, or you can add a debit card, bank card, whatever you want to use, because that is going to be the way that they charge you. now, if you do not have the funds on your card when a customer orders, then that order is just going to be in the queue, okay, it's not going to get cancelled. but if principal doesn't get their money, then your customer don't get they product. okay, i hope y'all are getting what i'm putting down. okay, basically, you got to make sure the money is in the bank account or your customer will not get their product, okay. so, when it comes to fees, when it comes to your budget, when it comes to your money, you got to have it, you got to make sure it's there, because you got to think about your customer experience, okay. so, now that i've toked about that, i hope that would say it the way that i needed it to be said, but i wanted you guys to understand that that's what i mean when it comes to your fees and your budget and just making sure you have everything in order, because once principal takes that money out of your account, then their job can get started. okay, so now they can go ahead and put you know your, your design, do the dtg method, make sure everything is good to go. so i wanted to really stress that, because now what i'm about to do is hop into my computer and really show you guys what it's going to look like when it comes to what you're going to be charged, your revenue, your profit, and i'm also going to share some things with you guys about the shopify platform and how you can add a shipping fee so that w
