How To Add Social Media Icons On Shopify - Or Links!
are you looking to add your social media icons to your shopify store? well, if that's the case, then you've come to the right place, because today i'm going to be showing you exactly what you need to do, and i'm also going to be walking you through a solution as well. i've come to realize that many store owners are not sure how to add social media links to their store, and that's partikularly true for the social media platforms that shopify doesn't currently list in the options, so i'll be walking you through that as well. so if that sounds like what you're looking for, then be sure to keep on watching. either way, let's get into it. so the first thing you need to do is you need to visit your admin interface and from here you want to click on online store. then you need to click the customize button and you'll be presented with the store editor, as i'm sure you've been on before. now the first thing i would do is i would just run this check, so go to the footer section of your store and make sure that the show social media icons option is selected, because that's that's going to be really important for the next step, if it's not, check it and then hit save. next, you want to go to your theme settings, and this interface will open up on the right hand side, and then you want to scroll down to the social media section. now, here you can list all of your different social accounts, and shopify have made it quite easy for us by just giving us an example of what it needs to look like. so in all of these boxes, you basically need to enter the link to your social media profile. so these are all the official shopify links here. so i'm going to set those up just to show you how it works. but, of course, you would need to update this with your own twitter handle or social media profile. so i'm going to do a control c and i'm going to control v in each of these just to and then quickly swap them out, just to get that kind of completed quickly, and i'm just going to show you how that works. and you may have notiked while i was doing that, that the icon started to appear on the store, which is great, and we're going to check those in a moment. um, and that's one thing i would also recommend is that you check the links, because, as this is a text field, if you get this link wrong at all. either the link is not going to work or it's going to take you through to somewhere you don't want to go, and obviously you want to make sure that you check this before launching or before your customers and store visitors start, you know, going off to the wrong place. so make sure this is all kind of set up correctly. hit save and now we can refresh the store and you can see the icons have now appeared. so if i click on each one, it's going to take me through to the, to the, to the social profile that i've set up. so this is the shopify's official twitter page, and the same would happen for facebook- i'm doing a new tab- and pinterest, so facebook and pinterest- excellent. so that's how to set up social media icons. um, obviously, always go into the customizer and go through all of the, the ones you want to add. we've obviously got instagram, tik tok and snapchat, youtube and vimeo, so, um, there's obviously quite a few to add here, which is fantastik, um. but you know, as i mentioned at the start of this video, some people find that they actually want to add other social media accounts that aren't listed here, or they don't want the icons and they want links instead. well, what's the solution to this issue? well, i'm going to show you now. so what you want to do is: so, make sure this is all saved. is you want to head out of the editor and you want to go to navigation? now you have two options here. you can either create a new menu and show that, or you can add to an existing menu. so, for instance, we could edit the footer menu and add, add links there. but i'm actually going to create a new menu to show you how this is going to work. so i'm going to go add menu and i'm going to say: um, find us on social media. this is the name of going to be the name of this, uh, this section, and now we just need to add new menu items. so click add menu items and let's say, we want to add our profiles here, so twitter, for instance, so just call it twitter. that's gonna be the link that's clickable, so you can name that whatever you like. that could be: find us on twitter, or you know just whatever you want there. i'm just going to have twitter for now, because i've got the finders and the title, and then left, click on this section here and this is all kind of internal links. but you want an external link here, so you want to put https. this is going to be the same link that we found on the social media icon page and i'm going to do shopify again. for now, i want to say shopify. i'm going to do the official shopify link for now and you want to click this once it's typed out and you've checked it. click this link and that's going to lock it in and press add. so we've got twitter here. i'll do one more: add menu item. let's go facebook and i'm gonna go https backlash, backslash facebookcom, forward slash shopify. make sure you click this so it's in there and click add, save. excellent. so we've created a new menu called find us on social media. now the last thing you need to do is you need to go back into your- so click online store and go back into your customize and we need to add this. i want to add it to the footer. so here we want to add a new block menu. so add new block. click the menu button here. we're going to call this: find us on social media. see that here. change from the footer menu. so click this, click this: find us on social media select. see that here. excellent, now we can have that on the right hand side. we could have that, you know, in the middle, or we could have it on the left, so i'm going to put it on the left for now. hit save. now if i go back into my store- obviously you can't see it there- we can hit refresh now it's appeared, and if i click this link- or you know, i'm going to do it in a new tab- the same thing works, so we can head over to our social media. obviously, you need to put your own link in, as i suggested earlier, but that would take you to your social media profile via a link. so we've got the two different options there. so i hope this video was useful. if it was, please do hit the like button. that tells me i should continue making videos like this, and if you have any questions about what i've done today or shopify in general, drop them in the comment section down below and do consider subscribing to my channel. i've got a lot of different videos on shopify and building an online business, with different tutorials which may be of benefit. so, with that said, i hope you have an excellent day.

have messy spreadsheets kept you from growing your business? discover profit cap, the affordable and easy to set up Shopify app that crunches your numbers in just one click. it automatikally syncs with all your accounts and expenses to calculate your profit, displaying everything in an easy to read dashboard so you understand your business in real time. start for free on the Shopify app store today. so let's dive into social media management, and the first thing we're going to look at is why social media, as we mentioned it's amazing for driving traffic and sales. with free, organic traffic here, it's also going to allow you to build brand awareness. you can also utilize your social media to contact and interact with different influencers, ones that are targeted towards your brand. maybe you sell snowboards. you want to Target some influencers who are centered around snowboarding, getting them to repost your content or link back to your social media pages, and this can be a great way to build your audience. you can also amass an Engaged audience here. so if you have a number of followers on Instagram or tiktok, let's say, it becomes much easier to reach those followers. you don't have to send them email campaigns, you don't have to pay for new ads to reach them. again, having a wrong social media presence makes it really easy to Target these customers. maybe you're having a new sale or you want to do a giveaway. it makes it much easier to promote your content. also, if you're enjoying any of the content along the way, I would love it if you hit that like And subscribe button below, as that really helps the channel out. so next let's look at which platform to use, and so there's gonna be many platforms here. you have big tok, Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, even LinkedIn and YouTube as well. it's also going to be Twitter, and all these platforms will help you reach your goal of engaging with different customers and spreading your brand and awareness. so you get to decide which platform you want to choose, because typically you don't want to be on all of them. each content is going to have its own nuances, frequency, as well as the types of content you can post on each platform. so you want to make sure you're spending some time beforehand doing research on your target audience. you're going to look at the locations, demographics, age, gender, interest and decide which platform is best for your Shopify store. you can also look at your own products and think about what type of content do you want to create. do you want to create long-form video content or short form video content? maybe you want to stik to just photos? taking a look at all this beforehand is going to make it easier to decide which platform you should be using. you can also look at what social media platforms you're using, as you might have a better feel of what content to be posting. that's going to give you an easier plan to grow. next, let's take a look at overall strategy for your social media management. the first one is going to be to set goals with metrics and kpis. these are going to give you reachable Milestones, so it could be follow account, the number of posts student generate each week, the number of content of other influencers you can interact with. so if ignore the first one there- follow account- you can't really control that. you should rather be focusing on your inputs, content and engagement in measuring those there so you can keep yourself to a good schedule. the next part is going to be identifying your target audiences. you would have done this in the ad platform section when deciding which one to use, but you want to really be narrowing down only different accounts. you want to Target in a certain demographics you want to be targeting on the platform. you can tailor your content around that. the last one is going to be to Simply create a system in a schedule. so you could say on Instagram, we're going to post seven days a week, once every day at a specific time. we're going to engage with 20 different posts a day, whether that's liking or commenting. if you're on YouTube, it could be a said schedule once a week and then you're engaging with your comments on a daily basis. certain platforms like to see a schedule, especially problems such as YouTube. as you can see that you're consistently coming up with content at the same time and sharing it with your subscriber base, I can help your rankings there for YouTube and it can give your followers something to expect. let's say, you come up with really educational content twice a week. maybe it's more promotional the other days, but at least your followers know what you're expecting and that should hopefully make it easier for them to engage with your content. lastly, let's take a look at white types of content you can be posting to your social media platform. so it's going to depend on the platform itself, but it could relate to news, inspiration, education, products. so this could be Product Promotion. so contacts and giveaways- so let's say, you're running a giveaway for a t-shirt that can help build your follower account- and to influencer content. here, where you're working with an influencer, there's gonna be community events. maybe you have an online chat room or an online Zoom meeting where you can bring in different customers or something like that around certain topics and events. you can use user generated content, so maybe it's reposting customer photos. if you're a fashion brand, you can repost what customers are doing when they're wearing your products, how they're wearing it, how they're styling The Outfits. they can create really strong ambassadors for your Brands, as customers are going to feel really lucky that they've been featured on your page and they could, ever to like, get their friends to like it. they're going to show friends and family. that's going to help spread the message there. the different tips and tricks: maybe you're a Barbecue Company. you want to post tutorials on how to use the barbecue. you can have short form tiktok videos- some more content to help educate the customer on how to use your products. then you can subtly link your products in the videos. there's also different live streams. almost every platform has a way to do that now, whether it's Facebook, Instagram, tik tok or YouTube. there's also Q A's. maybe your products lend themselves nicely to having questions and answers. let's say you sell laptops or something m

hi, for today we are back again to our quick and easy video tutorial on how to add social media to your shopify account, and this is a step-by-step process, so stay tuned. so before we really dive into this tutorial, i just want to discuss about shopify. so shopify is a description based software that allows anyone to set up an online store and sell their product. so shopify is a e-commerce platform that offers a way to quickly launch your dream business and start selling to your customers. so, wherever they are, they could actually avail it online. and if you want to customize your store or even build it from the ground, the shopify application store or the apis make that very easy to do. and here, as you can see, all you have to do is to log in into shopifycom and it will lead you here. so, as you can see, you could use a free trial and if you are comfortable with the store or the setup of shopify, then you can avail their plan. so, as you can see here, for the basic e-commerce or the new e-commerce businesses with occasional in-person sales, you could avail it to 29. and for those growing business and selling online or in-store, you could avail it 79 dollars per month. and for the advance to those who are businesses that are scaling and that requires an advanced reporting. you could avail it for 299 dollars per month. so, as you can see here, you could log in for free trial, um, log in your email and then just answer some few questions about your um growing business or what is your business all about, and after that you will have your very own shopify account and here you will see my home page. so they really encourage you to buy their very own plan for because plan are very nice, because you could avail more features to the website. so basically, shopify is where you could sell your stuff online and here, as you can see, um, you could sell five products in maximum in starting for shopify and if you sell more than five, then you will need to avail a plan, so you need to pay for plan. so here again, you will see this and on the left side, under the sales channel, you will see your online store. so here you will see themes, current themes, and basically there is a pre-made theme here. it's called dawn and you can see it like that, so it is available in both cell phone and desktop. so here on the right side, you will see customize, click on customize and then here you will see your home page for your application and basically this will be your store. so people will be coming here and see for your store and you could actually edit here. as you can see here. these are the tools that you could use to create your account and here you will see your featured products. for example, you have a new arrival products or those products that are mostly purchased. you can put it here to give more advertisement for that product and here you could add your store cover page or your code and also your name for your store and here you would see the catalog. so this would be the products and contacts for if they want to avail or to buy something from your store. so here you will see on the home page. if you scroll all the way down here you will see the different types of payment you could avail. you could avail it through apple pay, google pay, mastercard, paypal and many more. so on the left side you will see theme settings on the bottom part. so you click on theme settings and under theme you scroll all the way down until you see social media and you will see you could actually connect your social media account for your store. if you created a twitter account for your store for advertisement for your products in promoting your store, you could actually copy the link for that twitter, facebook, pinterest, instagram, tiktok, tumblr, snapchat, youtube, vimeo and and, for example, um, let's say, you're gonna use your instagram, so all you have to do is to copy the link of your instagram, or just simply copy this and then add the name of your account. let's say this: one, click, enter and then you just input all the link for your facebook, pinterest, twitter and the like to your business and then control save. so maybe you're wondering if what is the importance of creating a social media for your business or connecting your social medias for your business. so, basically, the social media can help your business to attract more customers and get customer feedback and build the customer loyalty, and it also increases your market reach, including the international markets. so basically, through social media you could reach um clients that are very, very far from you and you could also do market research and reduce your marketing costs. so maintaining a social media presence is less expensive than the Automatically Post New Shopify Products on Social Media! (Step-By-Step Tutorial)
hey guys, dimitris here and welcome back to my channel, and today's video will show you how to create an automated workflow that will make posts to your social media accounts every time you upload a new product on your shopify store. now for this tutorial, i'm going to be using integromat, which is my automation tool of choice. uh, you can go ahead and sign up for a free account on integromatcom. and i'm also going to be using buffer. so buffer is a social media automation tool that makes it really easy to post to multiple social media accounts at once. so, um, buffer also offers a free plan, so you can go ahead and sign up for one on buffercom. now, the first thing i'm gonna do is set up my um- uh, so i have my shopify store right here. as you can see, i have one product, um, and i'm gonna go ahead and set up my automation scenario here on integromod, right? so the first module is: what's going to trigger the scenario? right? this is where the scenario begins, and what i want to do is add the shopify app, right? so you're going to go ahead and search for shopify here and i'm gonna select the uh watch products module, right? so, in other words, this: this module is gonna check for new products that have been added to your store. so i'm going to select that and then the next thing you want to do is actually connect integromat with your shopify store. so you're going to click here, add. you're going to give the connection a name- this doesn't really matter, but you can go ahead and just like add your shopify store here as the name. mine is called accessory planet- and then you want to add the uh, your shopify stores sub domain. so the sub domain is this: uh. right here let me check if we also need to include uh field. my shopifycom sub domain is not a fill store. okay, so we only need to enter the subdomain. so you only need to enter this first part of the domain, right? so just copy that um and paste it right there and then click continue and this is going to connect to your shopify store. there you go. i have already made the connection. so am i actually need to ask you to uh click continue and then allow, or something like that? but it should be pretty easy. just follow the steps and the connection will be made anyway. then in these fields you don't actually need to enter anything, because we want to retrieve all the new products, so you don't need to enter anything here. then, on the limit, you can actually specify, uh, the number of products you want to retrieve every time the scenario runs, right. so i will actually set this scenario to run, um, uh, every 15 minutes. you know you can increase these uh this to once per day or once every 30 minutes, it's up to you, right? there's so many different settings um to to specify exactly when you want this scenario to run, and the idea is that one every time this scenario runs it's gonna check for all the new products that have been added to your store, right, uh? and it's gonna make social media posts for those products, right? so if you, if you set the limit to two um, if, for example, you, you may, you uploaded 10 new products, it's only going to retrieve two of them, right? so if you're planning on uploading many products, then you can set this to a higher number. so you can. you can set this to 50, for example, just just so you, you know that every product you upload, you're going to make a social media post. for for now, i'm just going to set this to whatever. let's just set it to 50.. it doesn't matter, and now i'm going to choose all, because basically, what this means is that if i choose all, it's also going to retrieve this product that has already been uploaded. but if i choose from now on, this means that it's only going to retrieve pro products that i upload from now on. uh, for this example, i'm going to select all, so we can test this right now. so if i right click here and run this module, only it's going to retrieve one product, and this is the product that i currently have on my store. as you can see, this is a portable sealer. the title portable sealer, so it's the product i have right here. if i set this to from now on and around this module, it's not going to retrieve anything. as you can see, it's empty. so, um, okay. now the next thing we want to do is attach another module to this scenario, because now we're able to retrieve the new products, but we also want to make a social media posts. so this is the part where i'm going to connect, uh, my buffer account. so i'm going to add a new module. this is going to be the second part of the scenario and i'm gonna choose here. you're gonna go ahead and search for buffer right, and i'm gonna choose the create a status update module. that's to be the action now. uh, before you do, what you're going to do now is actually connect your buffer account. so, same thing: you click add, you choose a connection name- can be anything you want- click continue and this is going to ask you to log into your buffer account. as you can see, here i'm already signed in. i just click allow and that's it: the connection is made. um, i already made the connection, so i'm not going to do that. that's my connection there. now, what it's going to do is actually going to retrieve the profiles, or in other words, the social media accounts that you have connected with your buffer account. now, in order for this to be done here, you actually need to connect your accounts. so i'm going to go here to my buffer account and, as you can see, i already have a, a social media account, connected. this is a facebook page, right? so if i go to manage channels here, uh, the free plan, i think, allows you to connect up to three different uh social media accounts, so that can be, for example, a facebook page, an instagram account, uh, a twitter account. you know, up to three uh, social profiles, so you just click on add a new channel here and choose the type of um of account. um, i have already connected my facebook page and this is what's what i'm going to be using as a uh to test this out. uh, but you can also go ahead and connect your instagram account now with your instagram account. you need to make sure that your instagram account is actually a business account, right? this is not gonna work with uh, the personal accounts, because, um, in order for for instagram to allow you to use a social media automation tool, um, it has to be a business account, right? so, um, if you don't know how to convert your instagram account to a business account, you can actually go to this um artikle right here. i'm going to put a link for it in the description and it just shows you, step by step, how to um to to uh, switch your instagram account to a business account, and the idea is that you actually need to connect it to a facebook page. right, that's how you um, that's how that's how you switch to a business account. it has to be linked to a facebook page, as you can see right here. so go through this. make sure that your instagram account is connected and then you're going to be able to use it. so, once you have all your social media accounts connected- so i currently have my facebook page- uh, they will appear right here. so now i'm able to select which profile i want to post to. so currently i only have my facebook page, so i'm going to go ahead and select that. and then here is where you specify the text that will appear on the pause, or in other words, uh, the description. right, so we want this to be the. um. i mean, you can choose. this can be whatever you like, and you can actually, um, you can construct this with both statik text as well as dynamic, and we'll explain what i mean by that. so, for example, um, let's say, you want us, you want the text to be something like: um, hey, check out, or check out our new product. that that is statik text, because that is never going to change. every single post you make is going to have the same text, right, so it's statik. now i can take this even further by adding dynamic elements to this text. so what this means? let's say: um, i wanna, i want the text to be different with every product i post. for example, i want this to say: hey, check out our new product, the portable sealer, because this

leveraging the power of social networks is about creation: creating content, creating conversation and created added value to the world. this takes planning and some work, so social media strategy consists of clearly defining goals, building a content plan, creating a consistent production schedule, estimating impact and, of course, measuring the performance data to ensure we're taking constant and calculated actions that will yield the results we want to see for our business. so social media strategy is a four-way relationship between your goals, your plan, your activities and your various social media presences to come together and realize some of your business's desired outcomes. so the whole point of a social media strategy is ultimately to save time while we free up focus for all the other things that you need to do to run your business, whether it's driving traffic to your site, building an audience, engaging and deepening your relationship with your customers, or developing greater brand awareness across the web. we can get really, really deep into the weeds, but what i'd love to do in this video is give you a simpler framework for you to build on, and the easiest way i can think of is to separate your journey with social media into four distinct areas: your goals, your target audiences, your metrics of success and your content mix. so with that, let's jump right in and kick things off with your goals. before you spend a single minute doing anything or a single penny on ads, you need to be crystal clear about what you want to achieve through your businesses activities on social media, the most common social media goals for entrepreneurs include increasing brand awareness, acquiring leads and new customers, establishing social proof to help build a loyal following, creating excitement and demand for your products, and even to provide customer service. so the first thing you'll want to do is identify what your goals are when it comes to the kinds of results you want your social media activities to bring you and your business. i mean, maybe you've just launched, so one of your primary goals might be to create excitement and demand for your products by sharing beautiful product shots and some short video lifestyle clips featuring people using your products. perhaps you even collaborate with influencers to test and review your products if you're just launching. another one of your goals might be to begin building brand awareness for folks to know about your company and the fact that you exist. one of the best ways to increase awareness is through stories. you know, sharing tidbits about you, your company, your vision and what you believe in. giving these random content examples demonstrates the importance of really thinking carefully about the results you want your social content to bring your business. think hard about the stage your business is currently at. then just choose one or two goals to focus your efforts on right now. but defining and setting goals is only the beginning. the second thing you need to be crystal clear on is who your target audience is. in other words, in step one, you have identified your goals for leveraging social media, but if you don't narrow down who you want to speak to, your efforts can easily be all for nothing. the aim right here is specificity. especially for new entrepreneurs, this can be challenging, i mean, after all, we want everyone to buy what we're offering, but as the famous saying goes, if you try to please everyone, you end up pleasing no one. and the same goes right for social media targeting. if you try to create content for everyone, no one ends up being truly interested in what you have to say and offer. so be ruthless with yourself here. an entrepreneur may have an online store selling accessories for hikers. they might feel like all hikers are their target audience, and while all hikers might be a part of their audience, their target audience needs to be much more refined. you're going to want to go much deeper than the obvious age, location and gender identifiers and find deeper identifiers like: what careers and industries does your target audience work in? what kind of salary range do they earn, since this will help inform who can afford your products, especially if you have a higher price point. i mean, what are their ancillary interests meaning? even though our friend is selling accessories for hikers, it's worth it to think of other lifestyle choices their ideal customer makes. perhaps they are very environmentally conscious, and so our friend's line of accessories made entirely of recycled and sustainable materials is yet another anchor point between them and their target audience. which apps and websites does your target customer visit regularly? i mean, are they an endless social scroller in their free time or do they gobble up current events news non-stop? beyond the obvious of helping you decide where to spend your paid advertising budget, this information can also really help you narrow down content decisions, like whether to create more image-based content or written content. what motivates them to buy things? How To Connect Shopify Store to Facebook & Instagram Shop in 2022
hi guys, um, so in today's video, I wanted to show you how you can connect your Shopify store to a Instagram or Facebook shop so you can sync your products automatikally and you can have that shop on Instagram and Facebook so that you can you're able to sell whatever products you like on those social media platforms and integrate the two. okay, so let's get started. so, to begin this, you you first need a Facebook page and an Instagram account. obviously, once you have that and you have your Shopify store, or you need to actually first go to to your business Suite. you need to go create an account and if you're in your business Suite, what you're going to need to do is you're going to need to have a business, your business manager set up and you're going to need to create a Commerce account, and that should be over there. but what you're going to need to do, if you click on your Commerce manager over here inside your business Suite- so your business Suite is very your business manager- is going to to be for your different accounts. so if I click on the account that I'm looking for and I go to Commerce manager, it's going to show me that I have a product catalog already set up and you need this catalog to be able to sync this your products to, from Shopify to meter. and you do that by simply just adding catalog and then running through these, the wizard. so if, for example, you have an e-commerce store and just carry on, next you'll say, connect to a partner platform and you'll select Shopify and then you'll go to Shopify and you would then log in with your Shopify account and that will sync and connect your Shopify store to your commas manager and that will sync your products and and by doing that, you can have your catalog set up on meta. and then, once that is done- if you just go back, once that's done, then you're just gonna have to create, we're gonna have to sync your, your Shopify store, to Facebook or meter or Instagram and you, that will be, you'll be able to display all your products and make it shoppable on those social media platforms. so to do that part of it, you're going to have to go to apps over here and we're gonna have to go to- if you click on- apps and sales channels and then from here we're going to need to add Facebook and Instagram. let me just go back, I just need to search for it, click on here and we're going to search for Facebook in the Shopify App Store and we're going to click on Facebook and Instagram by meta and click on add app. you can click on ADD cells Channel. okay, so now we've added the Facebook and Instagram sales channel to our Shopify store and then from here all we have to do is we're gonna have to follow this wizard over here and we're going to select start setup and then we're going to need to connect our Facebook account to our sales Channel. That's now installed on Shopify. we click on connect account. it will bring up your the accounts that are in your account Center and you can just click on that. click on both if you want Instagram on its own or if you want Facebook on its own. you can select either or or. you can just select both and you can connect. it's going to ask you if you what the sharing preference you want, and I'll just cover the default and I'll say save. and then it's going to ask if you want to connect a Facebook pixel, and we do want to do that so that we can track our conversions. so we can just say connect. if you do not have one already, you can just click on create new and that will create you a new pixel and that will connect to your Shopify store. so I'll just click on connect and I'll select, I agree and submit for review. so once you do this, you can um, it'll take a couple of days for them to review your, your shop and just make sure that you following all the the policies according to Facebook and Instagram, and once everybody viewed it, it usually takes about two to three days and then from there you will be able to get approval for that and then, once your approval comes through, you'll be able to sell on Facebook and Instagram and you'll be able to view your shop and you'd also be able to tag all your products when making posts on Instagram or Facebook. if you like this video, please don't forget to subscribe to the channel. but that's how you connect your Shopify store to Facebook and Instagram. thank you, goodbye.
