International Shipping with Shopify Shipping || Shopify Help Center

Setting up international shipping can quickly expand the reach of your business, help you stay competitive and open your business to more customers. Today we’ll discuss how to plan your international shipping strategy and how Shopify Shipping can help you with this. If you’re new to the channel, consider subscribing for new videos from the Shopify Help Center every week. You can find all related help artikles for this video in the description below. The first step of planning your international shipping strategy is to decide where your want to ship your products. Here’s a few tips to help you decide. Start with familiar destinations. Ship to countries nearby or places where you've shipped in the past so that you can set realistik expectations for your customers on delivery times and rates. Let’s say you live in the United States - start by shipping to both the United States and Canada as a starting point. Then, once you’re comfortable with shipping orders, expand into more countries. Keep watching for more details on how to set up your shipping zones and rates. Track current demand. Check out your store’s traffic analytiks to see which countries are already visiting your online store. If you recently launched your online store, these analytiks may not be available yet. Try using Google Trends to see what people are searching for and where to make an educated decision on your target markets. Consider the main languages of any market for expansion. Communication is essential when dealing with customers. If you’re fluent in a few languages, consider expanding into these countries. After you’ve decided where you want to start shipping, you need to edit your shipping settings. Start on the Shopify admin and click Settings. Next click Shipping. Here you see your Shipping Profiles section. Today we’re going to create shipping zones and rates. in the General Profile, which contains all of the products in the AlyAthletiks store, Start by clicking Manage Rates. In the Products section, you see all of the products listed in the profile. In the Shipping From section, you see all of the locations where you ship products from. In this example, we’re shipping products from our location in San Francisco. If you’d like to learn more about shipping from multiple locations, see the video linked above. Next click Create shipping zone or select the three dot icon and click Edit Zone In the pop up. give the zone a name. Then search for countries and select the checkboxes for what countries you’d like to include in this zone. In this example, we’re selecting Canada and the United States. If you want to limit the shipping zone to certain areas within a country, click the arrow beside the country name. You can add or remove specific states or provinces using the checkboxes. When you’re finished making changes, click Done. Next, click Add rate and decide if you’d like to create your own manual shipping rates or if you’d like to use carrier calculated shipping rates like this example: In the dropdown menu you see carriers available through Shopify Shipping. if you don’t qualify for Shopify Shipping, there are third-party apps in the Shopify app store that can help you offer calculated shipping rates. Shopify Shipping displays calculated shipping rates to your customers at checkout. Shopify Shipping is available for orders shipped from the United States with rates from USPS, DHL Express and UPS. Orders shipped from Canada have rates available with Canada Post. Calculated shipping rates show either domestik and international shipping costs automatikally at checkout. Back in the Shopify admin, select the carrier or calculated shipping rates app you want to use. Then, in the Services section, check the shipping services you want to offer your customers. With Shopify Shipping, you charge your customers the same amount that it costs you to ship packages, But in the Handling Fee section you can add a markup or markdown to the calculated rate by entering a dollar or percentage value. This section is optional and used if you want to account for the cost of packing materials or labour. Click Done to finish. You can continue to create new shipping zones and rates using the same steps just outlined. When you’re finished making changes, click Save. Back on the shipping settings page, you see a section called packages. The default package listed in your shipping settings is what’s used to calculate the shipping costs. Click Edit to make adjustments to the package’s weight and dimensions. You can also add a new package or set another saved package as the default. to calculate shipping costs, You also need to ensure that every product has a weight value included so shipping rates are calculated properly at checkout. Consider using the bulk editor tool to efficiently edit your product’s weight values. You can also use the bulk editor tool to edit product’s customs information, like the HS tariff code and adding a country of origin. HS tariff codes help expedite the customs clearance process by providing information on the contents of the package. If you prefer, you can edit customs information when you first add a product or in the shipping section of a product page or variant page, like in this example. Select a country of origin and search for an HS code. Enter the type of product you are shipping and choose the best match available for the HS code to populate. If you haven’t entered customs information on the product page, you can still do so when you purchase an international label through Shopify. After you click Edit customs information, enter the country of origin and HS tariff code details. Click the checkbox Save customs duties to product details so the customs information saves to the product page. Then the next time this product is ordered, customs information is automatikally included. If you’d like, you can also add insurance to your shipment with Shopify Shipping before you purchase your label. £6000 Every Month, DropShipping with UK US based Suppliers

i've been an online seller from past 10 years. eight months ago, i decided to challenge myself and open a new online store, just to get this idea that if i'm starting today, right now, can i really start and scale my drop shipping business. so in this video, i'm gonna be showing you the store, i'm gonna be showing you the product and i'm gonna be showing you the suppliers as well. so let's get started. this is one of my store. i started eight months ago. you can see right here that my last 31 day sale was 12 eighty seven pounds. this is my sale for today. this is sale from last seven days, and thirty six thousand three hundred and thirty three is sale for last 90 days. when i was starting out, i had three question in my mind, just like anybody else. number one: is it too late to get started? number two, if i'm going to start drop shipping business, do i have to deal with old chinese suppliers which take so much longer time to get their product delivered to the uk, europe and us? and number three, what product i can sell? so, after doing a little bit of research? answer to the first question was really simple: ecommerce industry is really, really growing, especially after the pandemic. it is actually growing rapidly day by day. the simple example for this to understand is look at how many shops on our high streets are closing down every single day. so it is no brainer for anybody if they want to be an e-commerce seller. the opportunity is actually right there. we just need to grab it right now. the second biggest problem for anyone who want to start a drop shipping business is actually dealing with chinese suppliers, especially in the time when we have amazon prime, where the customer can order something on the 8 o'clock in evening and they will get their product delivered next day as well. so traditional way of doing drop shipping, for example, drop shipping from aliexpress to shopify, drop shipping aliexpress to ebay or drop shipping from aliexpress to amazon. the problem with it that's- look at this product right here, that i'm recording this video in the beginning of may and this is getting delivered on the 5th of june. it is taking more than a month for this product to get delivered to the uk as well, and i don't think so anybody gonna wait that long. and the third one is the most obvious problem is actually trying to find the perfect product which will sell on a regular basis. so, after doing tons of research, i came across a solution which actually solved each and every problem, which i just mentioned is called absinic. don't get confused. i will explain you each and everything how it works and it can fully automate your drop shipping business. so, first of all, once you get started, this is the first page you're gonna land on. what you need to do from here is just simply click on add new store. at the moment, appsinic work with the shopify woocommerce. very soon they're gonna start working with vixx, ebay, bitcommerce, amazon- all other major platform that you can think of. so what we're gonna do first, we actually gonna link our store with it. so i can explain you each and everything, step by step, how it works. so first of all, let's connect our store. i'm gonna click on right here and it's gonna ask me to log into my account and i can just simply click on add app. and once i click on add app, i can simply add the app inside my shopify store. so everything will get synced up with the shopify store. after, when my store is syncing up with the shopify, what i need to do is just simply set up my shipping settings. so i'm just gonna click on shipping setting and choose the location, wherever i want to ship from. so i'm based in the united kingdom, i'm gonna choose united kingdom. if i want to ship internationally to other countries, i can opt in for this option, otherwise i'm just gonna leave it empty. so for me, i'm gonna be shipping internationally if the order comes from other international customers. more sale is better for everyone. the next thing is to actually set up your profit margin. so basically, the way i get started with the profit margin is just simply click on configure the price formula and by default it is set up to 25, and what i normally do- i leave it to 25 and then slowly, slowly increase my profit margin, because in the beginning i want to have this momentum build up. so my website will get ranked well inside the search. the next thing to do is actually start listing the product from apps in a catalog, which i will come to that in a minute. i will show you how to list them and what products are available there as well, and how to choose better product as well. but first of all, let me show you the feature. what is mean by payment detail down there? because what we need to do is set up a wallet for order processing inside the app cynic. so what apps? and it does anytime. once you get the order on your store, it process the order by itself and take the payment which you added inside your wallet. so everything will become automated. on the one side, the customer will place the order, app cynic will automatikally detect the cost price from your wallet, which you have already added inside your account, and then it will actually ship the order for you to the customer. so it is a complete automated business. now let me show you the most interesting part inside the app cynic. so what you need to do is just simply click on product catalog. inside the product catalog, absentee have tons of categories and then multiple sub categories as well. so there are thousands and thousands of product inside the app cynic. so what you simply need to do is, for example, you need to drop ship inside the united kingdom so you can simply choose where you want the item to be shipped from. so you can choose united kingdom. if it's united states, you will choose united states. the best thing about absentee: it actually use the local supplier within that partikular country. so if i'm going to be drop shipping inside the united kingdom, it will use the local supplier, which are already quality tested and they are proven to sell the quality product as well, so your product will get delivered on time. you don't have to worry about the cheap quality of the product, so you don't have to face the returns from the customer as well. same thing: if you're drop shipping in united state, it will use the local supplier in the united states who are already quality tested. so inside the apps in a catalog, the products have a high potential to sell. so what i normally do- because i will be selling in the united kingdom, so i come here and i simply choose a united kingdom because i want my customer to have the products from a local supplier so they don't have to wait longer delivery hours- i will select free shipping and then after that i can just simply pick the product from the catalog which i need to list on to my store. so, for example, if i go down and i say, okay, i want to list this product, all i have to do just simply click on import now i go down and after that, let's say, i want to list this product right here, i will just simply click on import now. after that, what happened is i just can simply go to view my products right here inside the appsonic. so inside the my product section, what i need to do. i can actually push this product to my store one by one, or i can just simply select all of them and i can push them as a bulk action to my store as well. everything will get listed onto my store automatikally: picture, title, description, each and everything. so it's not like i have to manually copy and paste and then manually process the order as well. i will show you once you get the order how you deal with them as well and where you actually see once you receive the order and all that kind of stuff as well. so once you start receiving the order, everything will show up inside the order section right here inside the app cynic. so if you come inside the order section, all of your order will be categorized on hold to be shipped, partially ship shipped, cancel completed. you will see breakdown of each and everything right here as.

⭐️ TOP 10 SHOPIFY DROPSHIPPING PRODUCTS FOR JANUARY 2023

these are my top 10 favorite products on month of January 2023, and all the products on today's list are going to be New Year bangers and hidden Valentine gems. hey guys, welcome to the YouTube channel. my name is Kamil sanon, is The e-con King, and I want to first off by saying Happy New Year to everyone that subscribed to the channel and everyone that's watching this video. so what I'm going to be doing in today's video is I'm gonna be giving you my you, my 10 favorite products for the month of January and for Valentine's Day, and these are also going to be forever green products. the method that I've the days I've gone to the industry-leading websites like Peaks to sell account, and those are all indexes that have already got great products on there, and they're doing extra research and due diligence by heading over to Amazon and looking at the sales volume. I've gone to Google Trends to see if they're trending. I've also gone on to tiktok to see how many organic views there are for the product, as that is a leading indicator right now to see success in products. we've even gone to the Facebook ad library to see how many competitors are running ads for each one of these products, because the whole purpose of this video is to give you a list of 10 amazing products for this month, but products that are also not saturated and have massive potential to the upside. now, what I've also done for you guys is I've created a free Google doc sheet that's going to contain all the information for each one of these products, and you're going to be watching me use it throughout this video. and if you want to get access to this- because it's going to have ad copies, thumbnails, links to other stores, it's going to have absolutely everything on there- then we do need to hit 2 000 likes in this video and it'll be in the pin comment and in the description below. so, guys, if you're looking for a great product to start your new year, then you're definitely in the right place. let's get straight into the top 10 list of products. [Music] on today's list is the gesture sensing smart robot. if we look at the AliExpress link, you can see it's almost got 600 orders, 4.8 star reviews on 89 people, meaning that people are happy with the product. now, what this product is? it's a smart robot that is based on gestures from you. so, based on the gesture that you show the robot, it will do a certain movement so you can see here, sidewalk, sidewalk, walk forward intelligence programming so it will do different commands based on the gesture you use with the Smart Control and the gesture hand. now the reason why I love this product so much is because I know there's been other dropshipping products that are gestures sense, like these ones that have blown up and generated multiple seven figures. so if we take a look at the product price and recommendation, I'd recommend this other product for 44.99. it's going to cost you 24.37 and your profit margin is going to be roughly 20. now, with any product that you sell, I'd always recommend that you make around about twenty dollars after you pay for the product cost and the shipping cost, as that will leave you good margins with the product price recommendations that I'm giving you. this is the base standard, meaning that once you see success with these products, you can increase the price over a long period of time. so you could potentially start selling this for 79.99 if people are willing to pay that price for the product. so if we take a look at the product description, it reads: groundbreaking gesture control, tiknology smart robot is the toy. kids go crazy for signing and dancing in response to your actions. it's truly unlike any tour you've seen before. this is the best gift for children or RC Fanatiks. it promotes creativity, fun activity for kids that doesn't revolve around mobile screens. it says features playful robotik, the robotik that will perform dance moves by moving back and forth dance music. you can follow his movements together at any time. and then it says here: educational, multi-use. although mainly used for fun, you can use this robot to respond and create a fun way for your child to learn the basic numbers and grammar and language. and then it gives you an example here: lifelike joints and movements. it has, like life, joints throughout knees, neck, elbow and even fingers so it can dance and jump or move around like a new best friend and impressive thing to witness, even as an adult. so if we take a look at a Shopify dropshipping store selling this product, we're only looking at the store to see what they've done whilst you can add it in your store. so the first thing that I like is the way they've got these bundles. the more you buy, the bigger the discounts. and then they've got here a sales- that's always good to offer a sale. then they've got these giffies. These giffies are really important for a product like this because you're toking about it being a gesture based product. people are going to want to see that in real life. so by showing them giffies like this, by showing them diagrams and explaining how the controller Works, how kids can use it, is really important if you want to get sales now. if we take a look at a Facebook video that's got over 250 000 views, the opening scene shows a kid walking with the robot and then it shows the robot picking things up and it also shows somebody unboxing the product and then it shows them giving the mic to the robot and it starts dancing. and this is really crazy, because when you watch something like this, it's going to make you think, wow, this is impressive, I want one for myself. now, if we take a look at a tiktok video for the product, you can see the opening scene says: this toy robot is awesome, and then it shows the controller that you're using and then it also shows you the gesture while moving your hand forward or backwards makes the robot move forward and backwards, and then they go over. it can walk and dance to the music. so you can see that this is designed in ugc content- POV content from your point of view- and these work really well on tiktok. now, the countries I'd recommend that you target for this product are going to be the e-packet countries, minus Mexico, Brazil in Italy, as I do find that I get a lot of high fraudulent charges from those countries. if you don't do the epocket countries, then I'd recommend the top six, which is the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland, and if you're doing tiktok ads, I'd only recommend that you Target Canada and the US. now the interest I'd recommend for this product is Hot Toys, toys, Gadget Geeks, kids. and then suggested interests. now they're ready to go. ad copy read: smart robot is the toy kids go crazy for signing and dancing. response: your actions: the best gift for children's. and it will reduce screen time. shop here. then it shows the thumbnail of somebody's hand with the gestures showing that the robot is moving based on your commands, and then also shows the controller in the bottom left. now, when it comes to season success with these Drop Shipping products, the advertising pot is the most important part. so when you run ads on tiktok Facebook, you need really good videos and that's why I'm recommending launch ads. launch ads are a group of video editing experts that will deliver really good quality videos in one to three business days and if they don't, then you will get your money back and those videos will be completely free and they will still deliver the videos. and the reason why I'm recommending these guys is because the main benefits are: there's a professional team of video editors, there's a professional team of script writers, there's a professional team of designers and they're going to create, engage in first three seconds and they're also going to get you a really good thumbnail for your videos. and most people that start Drop Shipping really struggle with making really good video ads because they don't know how to edit videos in ways that are going to be really impulsive for people to watch and it can take months and m.

How to Add Products to Shopify from Aliexpress (2023 Updated)

and now the next step is to import our product to our shopify store. so i'm going to be drop shipping from aliexpress, which is the most popular place to drop ship products from, and when you drop ship from aliexpress, you can use a tool called deezers, which makes things a lot easier. so this allows you to simply import any product from aliexpress to your shopify store, and then it also makes fulfilling the orders a lot easier once you start getting sales. so i'm going to leave a link to this tool down below in the description, so click on that link and then, once you're here, simply click on try it free. then here you can simply create an account with your email and a password, and then click on create account. and now here we can link our shopify store by clicking on shopify right here, and that will take us to the shopify app store, where we're going to install the deezers aliexpress dropshipping app. so here we simply click on add app. then here we want to make sure that this is our shopify email address that we have just used to sign up for shopify with, and then click on yes. then click on install app right here. then we're gonna have to choose a plan for this app. i'm gonna go with the basic plan, which is free, so i'm going to click on get started right here, and then here we're going to click on aliexpress. so now we need to connect our deezers app to aliexpress. so if you already have an aliexpress account, you can sign in right here. i actually like to create a new aliexpress account for every new store, so i'm gonna click on register and then create a new aliexpress account right here. then here we're gonna click on authorize and now we can start importing products by clicking right here. then we can simply skip the tutorial right here, because i'm going to show you everything that you need to know now. we also need to install the chrome extension for deezer. so we're going to click on home, here on the top left, and then we're gonna click on chrome extension. so you're gonna need to use the google chrome browser in order for this to work. so we're gonna click on add to chrome right here and then confirm add extension, and that will add the chrome extension here to the browser. however, in order for us to see it at all times, we need to click on the puzzle icon and then make this pin icon blue right here, and then we can always see the extension here on the top. now we also need to log into our diesel's account, so we're going to click on these right here. that will take us to the home page and then we're going to click on login and that should automatikally connect our chrome extension to our deezers account. so once that is done, we can go back to the aliexpress page where we're going to drop ship the product from, and, as you can see here on the bottom, we have a new button that says add to deezers, which we're going to use to to import our product to shopify. so before we do that, i want to quickly show you that here on the top, with your extension, you can also change some options. so here for the option- we're going to leave this at all for the shipping methods, and if you're going to sell in another country apart from the us, you also want to change the country right here. so, for example, if you would sell in the united kingdom, we would choose united kingdom right here and then also change the currency to british pounds. however, i want to sell this product in the united states. i'm going to leave united states and also leave the currency at us dollars, click on update settings and then i want to reload the page again just to make sure that the import button works. and now i'm going to click on add to these here on the bottom, and now it will import my product to my deezers account. so now we can go back to our deezer's dashboard and click on import list here on the left side, and now we can see our product is on our import list where we can then push it to our shopify store. but before we're gonna do that, we're gonna quickly click on edit product and then make sure we only import all the variants that we actually want to sell on our store. so here we're gonna click on variants where we can see this product comes in four different colors: white, green, blue and pink. so, for example, if you would only want to sell the green version, we could simply delete all the other versions right here, and then it would only import that one variant. so i want to sell all the variants right here, so i'm going to just leave it as it is. we can also click on the description and make sure we delete everything that we don't want to import. it doesn't really matter, because we're going to change everything manually anyway later on, when we create the product page and then we also have images, so you can just select all the images that you want to import to your shopify store and then, what's also important, to click on shipping info and make sure that the product actually ships to the country you want to sell in. so i want to sell this product in the united states. i'm going to type in united states, click on the search icon and then i can see that the product is shipping to the united states. now the delivery time isn't great, which is, uh, very usual with drop shipping products. i might be able to find this product with another provider, such as cj drop shipping or sand drop or spock it or something like that, where the it's already in a us warehouse where i get a lot lower shipping times. however, in the beginning i don't like to spend a lot of time trying to find the perfect supplier for this product, because most products you're going to find multiple suppliers. but i want to test this product first with some ads and make sure that the product actually works in the market before i spend more time finding a good supplier and making sure the shipping times are as low as possible. so that works fine for me right now. so i'm gonna click on save and and then we can click on push to shopify. right here here we're going to tik also publish to online store and then we're going to click on push to shopify. so now we can go back to our shopify store, click on products and then we can see we have a new product on our store.

Shopify is a platform that your website will be built on and where you'll have the actual store from for the product or products that you're selling. now there are other e-commerce platforms out there that you may have heard of, but Shopify is by far the most reliable and beginner friendly, so I highly suggest that you start there. so, once you're on this page, you're going to come down over here to enter your email address and just go ahead and enter that and then, after entering your email you're sending, go to start free trial. then this screen will come up. you'll just do- I'm just starting- click on an online store and click next. you can go ahead and skip this part right here, and then this is going to be the next screen that you see, and then here you can go ahead and just name your store and, like I said, I would not spend a lot of time on this. you don't want to overthink this. just keep this very simple and very general. wherever your business is located, you'll go ahead and click on next, continue with email, create your password word and then create Shopify ID. now we just open up a new store with the free trial, and you're already 10 steps ahead of where you previously were at the beginning of this video, because your store is officially open. now let's go ahead and get into the build and everything that you'll need to make sure that, when customers are coming to your store, they always leave with purchasing something and putting more money back into your pocket. now the first thing that you want to do is head over to your Shopify App Store and search for an app called autods, and it's as simple as this. you come over here to apps, you type in Auto DS and click on enter, and this is what the Shopify App Store looks like, and it's going to be this one right here that says Auto DS- all-in-one Drop Shipping, and autods is literally an all-in-one Drop Shipping tool that you need on your online store. this app will allow you to connect your store to different suppliers that you may be wanting to use to help sell your product. they'll let you browse through potential products that you can be selling, and it even has the capability to fulfill the orders you're getting on your store automatikally and send out tracking information directly to your customer. I mean, Auto DS is going to make running your job- streaming business- as a beginner- as seamless as possible. I wish- I mean I wish- they had apps like that when I first started my Drop Shipping Journey, because automation is everything, and that's exactly what this app will give to you. I'm gonna go ahead and add this app into my store and it's just as simple as clicking add app and then install app. now that we have Auto DS downloaded, the next thing we need to do is connect this with our Shopify store. so this is gonna be the first screen you'll see. you'll go to add store, come to this plus sign where it says ad store at the bottom, click on Shopify store and click continue. you come back over here to your Shopify, highlight the actual HTML and then go ahead and add that to your store. and it's as simple as that. and if you want to make sure it's connected, you should see your actual Shopify store right here at the top left corner. now, before we head into the overall build of your store and making sure that you have all the necessary instructions. then get your store off the ground and running. my team and I do provide Hands-On, one-on-one guidance to help you directly with learning strategies of running your online store that can help you make money not just for short term but for a lifetime. so if you're ready to take action and start learning with my team and I by your side, make sure you head over to my Instagram at AC, underscore Hampton, DM me the word mentorship or apply with the link down in my description so I can reach out and help you get started. now that we have Auto DS connected, you're going to want to start off with importing your first product to your store, but in order to import a product, you have to know what you're looking for in a product that you should be selling. it is not smart to come into Drop Shipping thinking you can just sell any and everything, because that's going to cause you to spend a lot of time and money into the wrong direction. when you're scrolling through your products on autods and looking for one that you could be selling, you want to make sure that the product is hitting some very important key factors when, number one being that it solves some sort of problem. now, this is because a product that solves a problem is likely to sell for a longer period of time. secondly, that it can be sold for 25 or more. by doing a quick search for the product on Google, you can see on average what your competition is selling the product for, and if it's being sold for less than 25 dollars, you'll find that you're spending more money in ads than what you're actually making from selling it. so let's take this product right here as an example. so this is the anti-theft travel backpack, and you can see when I'm on Google and I'm actually searching for this. you can see that most of these products are over 25, if not all of them. so this is telling me right away that this is being sold for 25 or more across the entire market. and lastly, you want to make sure that there is demand in the market for the product that you're selling. an

The Best Countries To Target | Shopify Dropshipping 2022

what's going on, guys? welcome back to another video. so in this one i'm going to show you why the united states of america might not be the best place to drop ship to as a beginner. it's completely understandable. most of the people i tok to just assume that the us is the best place to sell to and they go on to youtube, they start learning about drop shipping and naturally you're gonna start learning from some of the bigger channels and most of those people are based in america. so everything they're toking about- when it comes to the prices of products, the sales screenshots, whatever it might be- it's always in us dollars. um, even some of the bigger kind of uk based guys as well- everything they tok and shows in dollars too. so it's understandable for people to think or just assume that you should be drop shipping in america, whereas in this video i'm going to prove to you why that may not always be the case. so in this video i've got an oberlo dropshipping case study to show you which has some really interesting information in, so make sure you stay tuned for that. and i'm also going to show you some important, some other important information which you need to consider, which will definitely help you in your drop shipping journey. so, that being said, thanks for tuning in and let's jump straight into it. okay, so let's start the video off with this drop shipping case study from oblo. if you're not quite sure who oberlo are, they basically create the link between shopify and aliexpress, so all of the orders that essentially go through oberlo are drop shipping orders. so this is the case study. there's a lot to go through. i'm not gonna bore you with the whole thing, i'm just going to highlight the key pieces of information. so one of our oblong merchants, who is also a us dropshipper, agreed to share his google analytiks stats with us for this case study on dropshipping in the usa. all of his products come from china and are drop shipped using oberlo. so oberlo, to my knowledge, they only create a link between shopify and aliexpress, no other platform, so this is purely aliexpress suppliers and products. the store offers standard delivery options, so 14 day delivery to the usa, 30 plus days delivery to other countries via china post. so there's no bias here. if anything, there's a bias towards america. however, even with that bias, what we'll see in a second- that america doesn't necessarily convert at the highest, his website is in english and has never been translated into other languages. the website support is also offered in english only, and the majority of the traffic comes from facebook advertising. so basically, this guy's set up, if i had to guess, is probably the same setup in to what the majority of people watching this video are looking into. so, top countries by conversion rate: the chart below represents the statistiks of 2.5 million visitors to his site and only includes countries with 100 plus orders. so it's a pretty decent test. there's a lot of information and data to make a conclusion from. so, for example, he hasn't just had 10 visitors to one from one partikular country and then assumed that the case is 2.5 million visitors, which is a pretty decent average, pretty decent mean um to find a conclusion from. so if we have a look at the table, the results might be quite surprising. but people from denmark actually converted at the highest, at 4.67 percent. then we have australia and norway island and finland. so in those top five countries, three out of the five don't actually have english as, kind of like, their main language, which might be quite surprising to some of you. us here at seventh place, and then uk just scraping a top ten place with 2.71. what's also very, very interesting is, if we have a look at the average order values for this shopify store and we take a look at this table with the top 20, america- the usa doesn't even make it into the top 20 for average order value and the uk only just scrapes a top 20 finish with an average order value of 42 dollars. so what this could mean is that america doesn't convert very highly and then, even when they do, they don't actually spend as much money as other countries. so what i've done to try and kind of put this into more illustrative purposes to make it easier to understand- i've made a list of all these countries based on that case study, i've given them the conversion rate taken from the case study, and then i've also added two other things which i've sourced myself. so number one is an english proficiency score. this is taken from efcom, so a reputable source, as you can see, kind of categorizes each country with either a very high, high, moderate, low or very low english speaking proficiency. this will become clear why this is important later on. and i've also given each country an average cpm, and this is actually a facebook cpm and i've taken this from statistacom, which is, of course, another um reference source, and it's actually accurate, up-to-date information too. so this release date was actually november 2021. so what can we learn from this table, then? what i've done is i've highlighted the top six converting countries in green. and one thing to note here: that doesn't include the uk and it doesn't include the us either. so if we actually scroll to the bottom, where i have those two countries, we can see the uk and us. so 2.71 conversion rate for the uk, a three percent conversion rate for the us. now, the reason why this is doubly interesting, or even more so interesting, is because, if we take a look at the average cpm for these countries, the average cpm- so what a cpm is- is basically how much you have to spend on facebook for a thousand people to see your ad. so, if we take the us as an example, you will have to spend 35 dollars for a thousand people to see your ad. now, obviously, this is going to vary depending on what niche you're selling to, but overall, on average, according to statista, is in and around 35 and for the uk, is in and around 20, and the reason why this is so interesting, then, is if we take a comparison of the us versus the top performing country. in that case study of denmark, we can see that denmark actually has a very high english proficiency, which means the majority of people who are going to see our ad in denmark understand english, they speak english and they're comfortable browsing an english website. but what's even more interesting about target in denmark is the cost per 1000 impressions. the cpm is less than half that of america, so america at 35 and denmark at 14.. essentially, what this means is so essentially what this means is that for every ten dollars you spend in america, you can spend less than half of that in denmark and still reach the same amount of people. and even when you do reach that amount of people, more of them are going to convert by tags in denmark. now, obviously this is generalizing things. it's going to depend on what your product is, etc. etc. but for every 100 people that visit your store from the us, on average, three percent of those are going to convert, whereas in denmark you're going to get 4.67. so essentially, to summarize what it means is: it's cheaper to advertise in denmark and a higher percentage of those people will actually convert as well. so my final message for this video then, before you go, is: next time you're testing or analyzing the results of your facebook ads, if you haven't quite seen the results that you hoped for, or perhaps you're looking to launch some campaigns and start testing your very first products, don't just consider the us, consider the uk and also consider some of these countries which you can see highlighted in green. now, something else to leave you with before you go is when you're heading into your ad manager and setting up your ad set. so let's say, we want to run a campaign to denmark and we want to make sure that we are essentially focusing on search locations. we want to make sure that we are indeed showing our ad to people who understand english. it's very simple to do just below all of these different targeting criter.
