Shopify - Move Description Under Product Images - Dawn Theme & Liquid Basics

Today's tutorial will show you how to move the product description to a section below using the Dawn theme in Shopify. We'll be using a custom liquid section for this.

To output the product description, open up double curly braces and write product.description. However, this output will not have margins or spacing. To add styling, we need to use classes. In our theme, we have a class called page width that keeps content at a specific width. We'll add this class to our custom liquid section.

We'll also add the class rte for text formatting. You can add any HTML you want in this section, including headings.

If you don't know how to use templates, check out my templates video. I also have a new playlist for coding videos like this one.

Overall, this tutorial is a quick and easy way to move the product description to a section below in the Dawn theme. With some HTML and CSS knowledge, you can make the section look exactly how you want it. Let me know in the comments if you prefer more structured videos or if you like this unscripted style. Good luck and happy coding!
