The 12 Best Shopify Store Examples To Inspire Entrepreneurs
if you're on the journey of building your own business, here are 12 exceptional shopify store examples to give you a bit of inspiration, and i'll also give you some tips on how you can get your store on their level. hi, i'm creative strategist michelle bally. i've helped countless small businesses create and optimize their shopify stores, so in today's video, we're going to be looking at some of the best stores out there and how you can apply these ideas to your own store. there are already set standards when it comes to how ecommerce sites are built, so look at what other brands are doing to follow best practikes for design, ux, navigational flow, on-site marketing, copywriting and photography. you don't need to recreate the wheel, but instead just get inspiration from other existing ecommerce stores, and that's going to save you some time and effort. so what i do when i'm creating an ecommerce store for a client is: i look at what's already out there, but i also keep in mind that nothing truly great and memorable in this world is a copy. so let's just look at these stores as a baseline, in no partikular order. let's hop into it all right. so let's start with spencer badu. spencer badu is a gender-neutral clothing label. his shopify store is really well optimized for mobile shopping. so let's take a look at why that is so. as you can see, his website is optimized for mobile, meaning things are fitting and flowing really nicely on the screen. it's important to design mobile first. designing mobile first means that you're starting off your designs by looking at it on a smaller screen and then looking at how it will appear on a desktop. this might feel backwards, but it is important because more and more people are using their phones to shop. to ensure that your website looks good on mobile, make sure that you're clicking this mobile view button right here as you're designing your store in shopify. alright, so jumping back to spencer's website, he includes an email signup form. it's also great that he includes only a few necessary fields, making this section as concise as possible, which is respectful of people's time when filling out the forms on mobile, and that's also going to lessen the likelihood of people just getting frustrated and exiting out. all right, so let's go shopping. so i'm gonna add this to the cart, and what i like is that he has a pop-up that allows you to tap to continue shopping. this makes it super easy for people on mobile to go back to the main shopping page. now this might seem like a simple addition, but the more seamless that you make your website with small editions, the longer you're going to keep a customer on your online store, and the longer people are on your online store, there's a better chance of a customer seeing that purchase confirmation page. so i'm ready to make a purchase. so let's see how this checkout experience is okay, wow. so this is really easy to quickly update what's in my cart by number or just by completely removing the item, and i have many options: to pay immediately or i can just continue to check out, and when i continue to check out, the form looks super simple and really easy to use. so the nice thing about shopify is that most themes, if not all, come with a pretty standard and pretty seamless checkout experience. whereas with other platforms, custom coding is involved, shopify has this feature already built in. the importance of having an online store that's really easy to use on mobile can be the difference between a lost sale and a purchase. so greenhouse juice co sells healthy, sustainable juices and their website is super functional. so let's take a look at it. all right, let's go over here to navigation. so they're using sub navigation, which helps clean up the main navigation and not make it look too cluttered, and now i can choose to shop by category. having intuitive navigation like this is extremely important in keeping people on your website longer. i know i've definitely rage quit a website because i just couldn't get to where i was going, so try using some of these common categories in your main nav: use shop about contact, the search function, blog and shopping cart in your sub navigation. include product categories different about topics like our story, faqs and locations. and then the footer nav is traditionally saved for items like privacy policy, refunds and shipping, faqs and wholesale inquiries. so a little bit of the drier stuff now. delivery will keep customers engaged during social distancing. delivery can be a logistikal nightmare both for the business and the customer, so they have done a really good job of just simplifying it here. they break down the process in detail and they have a zoning map and contact information for any questions. now i'd like to see more about how they built their store, so i'm going to go into an app called shopify inspector. this is a google chrome app that's free to install, and right off the bat i can see that they're using an app called lucky orange. lucky orange is a shopify app that gives you heat maps of where people are clicking and screen recordings of how people are using your website. you can literally see people shopping on your site with this app, and it's going to help you determine if you need to make any changes to your website so you might be able to see why people are leaving your store or if people are searching for things you just don't carry and if the checkout process is too long. when you get in front of the screen and start building your shopify store, keep these tips in mind and make your store as functional as possible. all right, let's take a look at half moon. they sell yoga props and wellness accessories, and this store has done an amazing job of finding a niche category of products to sell. they went from the general topic of health and wellness, distilled it down to yoga and then they boiled it down even further to props for yoga. now the result of this for any business is a loyal, engaged and focused following. by stiking to a niche, they've also opened themselves up for opportunity to wholesale. you can see that they have a wholesale portal that is password protected. wholesaling is a great way to diversify your revenues, so if you're looking to create a wholesale portal like this one, check out shopify apps like wholesaler and wholesale club. okay, let's head over to vitale. vitale is a jewelry brand with experimental designs. now, the reason that i wanted to visit this page is because they have stunning visuals. look at these lifestyle photos. the styling, the lighting, choice of models and the choice of set are all super well thought out. look at these colors and the camera angles. they've even incorporated the use of video with special effects. now, we all know that video keeps people engaged longer, so make sure that you're including video on your website. this video here is a lifestyle video, meaning the focus is on the feeling of the brand rather than just shoving product imagery down your throat. the reason that this lifestyle content is so effective is because it allows a consumer's ego to identify with a brand's personality. this type of marketing is more complex and definitely more conceptual, as opposed to rolling out a product demo video that you might find on the shopping channel. their product photos are also amazing. it's hard to tell, but i believe they're using a mix of 3d rendering and photography. so, all in all, storytelling through photography will not only increase your store's conversion rate, but a customer's loyalty and how they're going to relate to you as a brand. silk willow is a sustainable wedding decor online store. one thing that they do super well is their level of customer service through customized orders. they have a separate page for custom orders, and the form includes space for customers to narrate what they need verbally and visually through the use of inspirational photos. so this solution of digitally intaking potential customers is a great experience for the client, rather than endless emails back and forth.
How To Build A FREE BRANDED One Product Dropshipping Store With Shopify 2022
this is the exact method that we're using to create our six figure and seven figure drop shipping shopify store designs, and i've just created an example one for you guys, and you can see how beautiful this looks. we have the thumbnail for the youtube video on the website. you've got the drop down menus right there to give people more information without having it all bulky on your website. then you've got the side-by-side images going over more details of the product, and then you've got the button. if we keep scrolling back up, you can see how beautiful this website looks, and i'm going to be teaching you exactly how to do this in this video. hey guys, welcome to the youtube channel. my name is camille sannon is the ecom kingdom. in today's video, i'm gonna be teaching you step by step on how you can create a one product store that looks really branded and professional and that converts extremely well in 2022 and 2023.. this tutorial is going to be around about 30 to 50 minutes long. i'm not joking. it's going to be step by step so you can carry and follow along with your laptop or your computer if you want to create a shopify store that looks like mine. now i'm also going to be giving you guys copy and paste templates that you can use on your store for things like privacy policy, terms and condition and shipping and delivery, and as soon as we hit 2 000 likes, i'll leave it in the pin comment and in the description below. so if you've been somebody wondering how to design a shopify store that's going to convert really well and look really appealing, then i'm going to give you the exact formula right now that will work with every product that you choose, and you can also convert this into a niche store if you want to, and this has been proven to work for me for the last 12 months because i'm using it right now in some of my six figure and seven figure stores [Music]. so before we can start creating our one product shopify drop shipping store, we need to have a product in mind that comes with good photography and good information to make our life easier and to give us the best quality store. now, if you haven't already got a product in mind, you can use a website like pixarcom and head over to the winners section, and this is going to show you loads of wooden products in different industries, different niches, and it's also going to give you all the relevant information about these products. so, for example, let's say i like this product, i'd click details and then it would show me everything about the product. now this is gonna be my product choice in the video. so this is the product that i'm gonna be using to design the website about. it's called the cordless air duster and you can see it's gonna give me the description and i can use this for my website. it's gonna give me the aliexpress link, the alibaba link, the amazon link, and later in this video you're gonna understand why it's important to have the amazon link, the aliexpress link, the alibaba link, also other stores selling it so you can see how they've designed their store and take good things from their store and repurpose it for your store. but if you haven't already got a product or you haven't got good information, then i recommend you use peekster to help you get that. so once you've got your product in mind, you want to head over to the aliexpress link for your product. you can see this is my product. it's got a thousand orders, 4.8 star reviews. you only want to be going with a product that has got good reviews and has got good photography, because if you scroll down you can see this is the photography that's going to come with my product, because this is the imagery that i'm going to be using on my website. so if it's not good photography, or if it's not good imagery or they don't have good videos, then it's going to make your website look bad. a great extra bonus is if your supplier can give you a video of the products you can see here. i've also got a video of my product, and the reason why is because you're going to be using this video on your website after you've edited it to be suitable for your landing page. now, once you've done that, you want to download a chrome extension called ali save and that will give you the option to actually download all the images by clicking this little icon once you've downloaded the chrome extension, and it will also give you the option to download the video. if you've got the pro version- for one dollar- and i'm not sponsored by them at all- and for the images when you scroll down on the listing, you will either have to contact the supplier and ask them to send you them, or you'll just have to print screen them, because you can't actually right click these images and save them, and some of the images in the listing below is actually better than the main images in the actual product info. now, once you've done that step, you want to head over to this link here, which is my exclusive shopify 14 day free trial link, and by using this link, you'll get 14 days for free, and sometimes you can actually get even more than 14 days for free. it just depends when you use the link. now, once you've set up your shopify account and you've started your 14 day free trial, your screen should now look like mine, and you want to head over to the bottom here where it says apps, and you want to click on it, and then it should open up this page. now, once you've done that, you want to go to where it says recommended apps, and then it should pop up this page, and then you want to go to at the bottom where it says shopify app store, and you want to click that link. once you're on the shopify app store search bar, you want to search for these two apps. the first one is going to be called auto ds. now, what auto ds lets you do is it lets you import the product through aliexpress and loads of different other websites, like cj, drop shipping and loads of other ones, and it will also automatikally fulfill every single order for you once you get orders on your website. now, an alternative to this used to be oberlo. that was the really common one, but they shut down now. another alternative to auto ds is actually ds's. now, i think auto ds is better than ds's because it actually gives you the automatik fulfillment option and loads more features. the only downside to auto ds is it does have a 30 day free trial and once that's done, it will then be a paid subscription. now, if you do not want to do that, then you should use dss, because it is free forever as long as you're on the lowest tier. now, once you've downloaded the also ds up, you want to head back over to the aliexpress link for your product, like here, and it should say somewhere around here: import through auto ds. mine's not saying it because i've already done it, but you want to click that grey button and it will import it into your website. now, once you've done that, you want to head into the auto ds app by going back into shopify, clicking apps, then auto ds, and you want to go to where it says drafts, and where it says drafts, it should show you the product that you've just imported and you want. you want to click the import button. after a few minutes it should show the product in the product section here as a live product on your website. now the best way to double check that this is actually worked is by going to where it says products in the shopify dashboard and making sure the product shows up under active now. as long as your product shows up here, then it has worked. so now we've got all that out the way. we can move on to the fun part of this video, which is creating the shopify store right now. so you want to head over to the shopify dashboard, go to where it says online store and then it should take you to a section that looks like this and it should have the dawn theme as the current theme. then you want to scroll down to where it says popular free themes and you want to go to where it says the refresh theme- this one right here- and you want to click the add button after a few minutes. after you've done that, it should now show it und.

Shopify Tutorial for Beginners 2022 | Set up a Shopify Store in 13 Minutes
in this shopify tutorial for beginners, i'm going to show you, step by step, how to use shopify to build your own online store from complete scratch. so let's not waste any time and get started. the first thing we're going to do is get us a 14-day free trial for shopify. so go to the description of this video and click on the first link you find there, or simply go to medicsmediacom. forward slash shopify. here. we can now claim our free trial by signing up for a new shopify account. simply type in your email and click on start free trial. then set your password and click on create your store. to save some time, we're going to skip the survey by clicking on skip. here you have to type in the name and address of your business and then click on enter my store. that will take us to the dashboard of our new shopify store. so let's start by choosing a store theme. on the left side menu, we click on online store and then on themes. currently, the default theme on shopify is the dawn theme, which is not bad, but for this store i'm actually going to choose a different one. so we scroll down and click on explore free themes. here you can now choose from 10 different themes that come with the shopify plan. you can take some time to check out each of these themes for yourself and then decide which one will fit your business the best. i'm going to choose the brooklyn theme for this store. once the new theme has been added, we can click on actions and then publish, and now we can see that our current theme has changed from the default one to the new one we have just added. now we can go ahead and click on customize to start building out our store. here's where we can edit all of our store pages, like our home page, product pages, collection pages and so on. you can also check how your store looks like on different devices and screen sizes by clicking on the desktop icon on the top right and then choosing mobile phone, for example. however, we're going to make our changes on desktop view. on the left side, you can see the structure of your current home page. it always starts with the header all the way on the top and ends with a footer, which is all the way on the bottom, and in between is the content of the page. by default, there are already some sections on our homepage. first, we have a slideshow section. next we have a text section, a collection list, a featured collection, a featured product and a newsletter section. we can also rearrange these by dragging them up or down, or we can also delete sections by selecting it and then clicking on remove section on the bottom. if you want to add something new, we can simply click on add section on the left side and choose what kind of content we would like to add. so let's now start adding content to our homepage. we're going to start by adding a logo to our header. so we're going to select our header on the left side and then click on select image. here i'm going to upload my logo for this door and then click on select. i'm also going to upload a white version of this logo so that when there's a dark background, the logo will turn to white. to do that, i'm going to upload the image under transparent logo and now you can see that the logo on my home page turned to white, but when i change to a collection page, for example, it will turn to black again. so let's go back to our homepage and move on. we're going to select our header again and then scroll all the way down to the announcement bar menu. here i can change the announcement text for the top of the website. this is a good place to put promotional messages like, for example, giving a discount code or simply putting something like free shipping worldwide. of course, you can also remove the announcement bar altogether if you want to. now we're already done with the header and we can move on with the next section of the homepage, which is the slideshow. for the sake of this tutorial, i'm only going to add one picture here, so i'm going to delete one slide by selecting it and then clicking on remove block on the bottom. then i'm going to select the remaining slide and click on select image and then add my hero image, which is what people will see first when they visit my store. then i'll go to text alignment and put the text all the way to the right, and we also want to change our heading and subheading. plus, i also want to add a shop now button. so under button link, i'm just going to choose collections, all collections, so that when people click on that button, they will see all the product collections that we will add later in the video. however, we want to make it stand out a bit more, so i'm going to change the button color to orange. awesome. the first part of our home page is now finished. now would be a good time to save what we've done so far, so we're gonna click on save on the top right. so let's move on with the next part, which is our collection list. this is an overview of the different collections that we have on our store. by selecting this section, we can first choose a name for our collection. i'm gonna name it- find your style. as i'm building a watch store here, i want to have a men's collection and a women's collection, so i'm going to delete collections until i only end up with two separate collections. and now we can actually edit and populate these collections in the back office of our shopify account. so we're going to right click on the exit button on the top left and then click on open link in a new tab. that will take us back to our shopify dashboard. here we want to go to products and then choose collections. here i'm going to delete the default collection that is already set up by selecting it first and then going to more actions and delete collection. then we're going to create a new collection and we're going to name this collection men's. now we can add the collection image on the right side. under collection type, we're going to choose manual, because we're going to be manually adding our products later, and then we can hit save. now we can do the same process for all of our other collections. once that's done, we can now put these collections on our home page. so let's go back to our editor and then select the first collection in our collection list and here we can assign the corresponding collections. so i'm going to choose women's for the first one, and then for the second one i'm gonna choose men's, and that's already it for my collection list. we can then move on and also set up our feature collection. here i want to feature the products of the new arrivals collection that i've created before, so i'm going to give it a name and then select the new arrivals collection. however, as you can see, we don't have any product set up yet, so this is what we're going to do next. so let's click on save and then go back to our shopify dashboard. here we want to go to products and then all products. then we're going to add our first product. i'm going to name it minimalist leather watch, and i'm going to skip the description for now, to save some time now. we want to upload a nice product image and also put the price of the product and then also the available quantity we have in stok under inventory section. if you want to, you can also go through the rest of these options here and put in more information about your product. then we also want to choose the collections that this product belongs to. so for this product, i'm going to add it to the men's collection and also to the new arrivals collection, and now we can click on save and go back to our products. for all of our other products we can now do the exact same process. once we've added all of our products and we're ready to put them on our store, we need to change their status from draft to active. so we're going to select all of our products, click on more actions and then set as active. now we can go back to our editor and now we can see the three products that i've just added to the new arrivals collection. then let's move on and go to the feature product section and then we're going to select a specific product that we'd like.

How To Design A Shopify Store In 10 Minutes (Step-By-Step)
having a bad website will kill your chances of success on shopify, even if you have the best products and ads. it's so much harder to see results with a low quality store. so in this video, i'll be sharing the exact store template that i'm using right now to generate over a hundred thousand dollars a month, and i'll be showing you, step by step, exactly how to easily build one for yourself. if you're new here, my name is jordan and i'm currently documenting the entire process of growing my ecommerce brand with as much transparency as possible. so if you're interested in starting your own online business, make sure to subscribe for new videos every single friday. also just want to say thank you guys so much for 50 000 subscribers. so to give back to you guys, i'm gonna do something that i usually don't do. i'm gonna give away a free one-on-one coaching call to one of you. to enter the giveaway, just drop a comment down below, follow me on instagram and dm me. when you're done, i'll be announcing the winner for this next friday. anyways, let's get started with the video. first things first. here are some live results that i'm getting with this exact template. so, as you can see halfway through the day, i've already done over 2500 in sales and if we look at yesterday's stats, you can see that this store is averaging around five thousand dollars a day. everybody is always asking about profit, so let's take a look. yesterday i did around fifteen hundred dollars in profit and today, so far, halfway through the day, i'm at around in profit, which is close to 30 daily margin. i'm not showing this to brag, but just to prove that this layout is working. today, i figured the best way to explain this would be to make a sample store that follows this exact template, so that's what i did. let's have a look at that sample store. so this is a store that i created in the home and garden niche- the type of stores that i like to build to test products look just like this. basically, we're building a nice, clean, branded store with good logo, good images, multiple collections inside of that niche, high quality products and images and, overall, a trustworthy and legitimate feel. i get dms every single day of people asking me: why am i struggling to see results? and then i look at their store and it looks like this: if you take the time to make a nice, clean, branded website, seeing success with ecommerce is going to be so much easier. this kind of store is perfect for testing products because it is branded, it has a trustworthy feel, but it's also broad enough that you can test a variety of products without being too constrained. i like to call this kind of store a hybrid store. it basically bridges the gap between a general and niche store. building a store like this is really not that difficult, so i'm gonna break down how to do it right now. the first thing that you're gonna need to come up with is a clean name and logo. to come up with names, i highly recommend you guys check out this tool called lean domain search. basically, you can take any word or phrase that you like and plug it into here and they're gonna show you websites that are ready to go that have this word inside of it. so in my case, i used the word flora because it fit perfectly for the home and garden space, and i scrolled and scrolled until i found the name flora flow, which i really like. all of the names on this website are available to purchase for the com domain right away, so i would take some time and try to come up with at least five phrases that would fit with your branding. so now that you've come up with a name, you need to create a logo now. i know graphic design might be intimidating to a lot of you, but nowadays there are a ton of tools that make it incredibly simple. one of my favorite tools to do this is actually called canva. canva has a bunch of these logo templates already built into the app, and it's actually what i use to build the flora flow logo. you can literally scroll through their library and find a clean logo for your brand in seconds and know this video is not sponsored by them. i just really like their product. so, as you can see, the template that i use for the floraflow logo is right here. i literally typed in flower. i looked at the options, i found this one and i just simply typed in the logo name and then i made it a little bigger, centered it in the middle and i deleted the bottom and i made a logo for the brand in 10 seconds. now, look, it's going to take you longer than 10 seconds and you shouldn't rush the process, but i would highly advise you guys. use that tool to build your logo. i'm also a big fan of photoshop. for my brand that i'm running right now, i designed my logo in photoshop, but it's a lot more advanced and not very beginner friendly. once you've got a name and a logo, the next step is to build out a nice home page for your store. now, when you're running ads to this store, typically you're going to send people to the product pages. yeah, you might have a cool product, you might have a cool product page, but if your customer starts browsing around your website and they get a weird vibe, they're not going to spend money with you and even if they do, the chances of them remembering your brand and buying again are so slim. so this is the exact layout that i use for all of my home pages. let's break it down. there are a ton of themes to use on shopify and it can kind of be overwhelming. this store is actually built on the impulse theme, which is by far one of my favorite paid themes, and if you're looking for a good free theme, i recommend that you guys check out debutify. i've used both of them and personally i like impulse a little better, but if you're on a low budget, debutify is an amazing option. first things first. we need a nice and clean header. try to come up with something creative that introduces the people to your brand in a very inviting way. now i could have easily wrote the best products for your home and garden, but i think it's much better to put something that has a little bit more flair and life to it. so in this example, i put stylus essentials for the modern home designed to elevate your lifestyle. if you're struggling with copywriting, just go look at some of the biggest brands out there. in terms of this image and all the images on the site, shopify actually provides a bunch of really sick free images and a lot of people don't know about this. so if you go down to image and you click on change and you go to free images, you can search up almost anything. so in my case, i searched up flower and you'll see that shopify has a bunch of these really nice high quality images that they're constantly updating almost every single week, and they're really fire. the next thing i do is typically put one of our collections on display. in this case it's the best sellers, because those are my favorite products on the store, so i wanted to put those front and center and when they click on it, you're gonna see that these are our top selling products and a nice, clean, organized page. we also give them an offer with up to fifty 50 off on the select products, and it's just something that gives them some incentive to click and start shopping. the next thing that i really like to do is show some type of mission statement for the brand. i think that this really helps your customers connect with you and feel like they're a part of something greater than just buying a product. so you can see, what i put here is that we want to help over 10 000 people create their dream environment through providing our own unique products worldwide. now, this is going to be different for everybody, so make sure that you come with something unique for your brand. and once again, i just took the image directly from shopify. now, the next thing that i threw in here: it was just a promotion. you don't need to have this, but i included it because i thought it looked nice, so you can just see it's 50 off of our spring and summer collection. and then i just put a little blurb about stay at home and stay at peace with these essentials t.

first step is to go to medicsmediacom forward slash shopify or simply click on the link down below in the video description. this will get you a 14 day free trial for shopify. so do that now and we'll go from there. great. so once we're here, we can simply type in our email address right here and then click on start free trial, and then we also gonna have to set a password for our new shopify account, and down here you can also see the current url of your new shopify store now. you can change that if you want to, but eventually you're going to want to get your own branded domain, something like medicswatchescom anyway, so i wouldn't worry about that too much. and then you can click on create your store. now they want to ask us a couple of questions about our business, which we can actually simply skip right here, and then they ask us for our name and business address, which is actually required in order for us to create a new shopify account. so fill that out right here and then click on enter my store. awesome, so that will take us inside of the shopify dashboard, which is what you're gonna learn how to use in this video. however, we're not gonna cover every single thing here in the shopify dashboard, because a lot of it is self-explanatory and i think the best way to learn everything is to actually start building out your store and then learning by doing learning the features when you actually need them. so i want to dive right into the fun stuff and start building out our store. alright, so the first step is to go ahead and choose a theme for our new online store. so we're going to go to online store here on the left side, then we're going to go to themes, and then we can see that the current theme that is already installed on our online store is the dawn theme. this is the default theme that comes with every new shopify store. now, choosing a theme, you want to make sure that the theme already is kind of the design that you're looking for, the structure of the of the website that you're looking for. so you have a minimal amount of work you have to do until you are ready to launch your store. so what you can do is you can go to actions, click on preview and then you can see how this current theme is actually built up, and then you can decide on if this is actually the right theme for you or if you want to choose a different theme. now, if you want to choose a different theme, you have a couple of different options. so here, when we scroll down, we can see that there are some free themes that we can use that come with the shopify plan, or it can also go to the shopify theme store right here and then also check out paid themes, which you're gonna have to pay for. so what you can do right now is to go through some of these options. i would recommend to first click on explore free themes right here and see if any theme here really fits your brand, your, your kind of store or the products that you want to sell. so eventually, all we have to do then is to add our products, add our branding and add all of our content, and then our store will be ready to go. what i'm gonna do in this video is simply choose one of the free themes right here. so i'm gonna click on explore free themes and i'm actually going to go for the brooklyn theme right here, so i'm going to click on the brooklyn theme. they also have a couple of different styles for each theme, so you can click on different styles and decide on which one you like the most. i'm gonna simply stik to the classic style right here and then i'm gonna click on add to theme library here on the bottom, and then, once the theme has been added, we can see it right here, and in order to actually change from the default theme to the new one we have just added, we need to go to actions right here and then click on publish, then again confirm right here, and now our theme will change to the new theme that we have just added and now we want to start building out our store. so we're going to scroll up again and then we're going to right click on customize and click on add link in a new tab. this way, we still have our shopify dashboard open in the background and we can work on our shopify store in the shopify editor right here at the same time. so now we are in the editor of shopify, which we can use to build out our online store website. so i'm going to give you a quick overview over how this works and then we're going to start to build out our website. so here on the top you can switch from different pages. so right now we are on the home page. you can also switch to your product pages, to your collection pages, blog pages and so on. but most of the work we're gonna do here on the home page and you're gonna see that all the other pages- like product pages, checkout pages- they're already built up for you, so there's not much design that we have to do on these pages. then you can also change from desktop view to mobile view or full screen view. so eventually you want to make sure that your store looks very good on mobile as well, because a lot of the traffic nowadays online comes actually from mobile phones. but however, we're going to build out everything here on the desktop view. then the site is built up in different sections, so it always starts with a header section here on the top and then on all the way in the bottom there's the footer section where you're going to have a couple of links and your legal pages and so on, and in between the header and the footer there are the sections which you can decide what you want to put in here. so by default we have a slideshow section here on the top where you can feature your store or your products, and we also have a menu here on the top which is part of the header. then we have another section, the rich text section. right here we have collection list, we have feature collection and so on. these are all sections that you can add manually and also remove. so, for example, if you want to remove the which, the rich text section, we could simply click on it and then we can click on remove section right here on the bottom. now, depending on what screen size you have, this menu might also display here on the right side for you, but for me it's here on the left side- then you can click on remove section right here and, just like this, this section is now gone from our website. you can also add new sections by clicking on add section here on the bottom left, and then you can decide on what kind of section you want to add. so let's say, we want to add this rich text section. again, we can simply click on which text section, then it will add it here on the bottom and now we can also drag it to another position. so we can drag it here up to maybe below the slideshow, and there we go. we have this section now on our home page again. so let's actually start building, and the way we're going to do it is we're going to simply go from top to bottom and we're going to start with the header. so we're going to click on the header here on the left side and the first thing we're going to do is to add our logo to our store. so i'm going to click on select image right here and then we're going to choose the logo that i have prepared for this specific store. so i'm going to click on upload an image and then i'm going to choose this image right here, which is:
