The Only Course You Need

00:00:00 00:00:03 this video is really weird and a little
00:00:01 00:00:04 bit awkward for me to film there's no
00:00:03 00:00:06 getting around it but as someone who's
00:00:04 00:00:08 gone through 40
00:00:06 00:00:09 50 60 different courses over the last
00:00:08 00:00:11 five years i've built multiple
00:00:09 00:00:14 multi-million dollar businesses with
00:00:11 00:00:16 those programs helping me along the way
00:00:14 00:00:18 i also listen to dozens of audio books
00:00:16 00:00:20 and podcasts on a monthly basis
00:00:18 00:00:22 i've also created some of the most
00:00:20 00:00:24 well-known successful and reputable
00:00:22 00:00:25 courses specifically inside of the
00:00:24 00:00:26 e-commerce space which is the industry
00:00:25 00:00:28 that i operate in
00:00:26 00:00:30 producing who knows how many success
00:00:28 00:00:32 stories at least a thousand
00:00:30 00:00:33 two thousand many many dozens and dozens
00:00:32 00:00:35 of students producing millions of
00:00:33 00:00:36 dollars a handful doing 10 plus million
00:00:35 00:00:37 dollars a year
00:00:36 00:00:39 and they attribute a lot of that and i'm
00:00:37 00:00:40 not taking full credit for anything but
00:00:39 00:00:42 they attribute a lot of that success to
00:00:40 00:00:42 the structure and the advertising
00:00:42 00:00:44 training
00:00:42 00:00:46 inside of the courses that i've created
00:00:44 00:00:48 now this is a weird video because
00:00:46 00:00:49 i don't want to say it's a taboo topic
00:00:48 00:00:50 but people have a really weird
00:00:49 00:00:52 perception on the word
00:00:50 00:00:54 course or the word mentorship or the
00:00:52 00:00:56 word program and
00:00:54 00:00:58 i think of something that you buy in
00:00:56 00:00:58 terms of information the same as i would
00:00:58 00:01:00 a book
00:00:58 00:01:02 you're buying you know whether it's a
00:01:00 00:01:03 book or an audiobook attending a seminar
00:01:02 00:01:05 a mastermind
00:01:03 00:01:07 it's the same reason that someone pays
00:01:05 00:01:08 to go to the movie or pays to rent a
00:01:07 00:01:09 movie from you know back in the day red
00:01:08 00:01:11 box or blockbuster
00:01:09 00:01:13 you're paying for entertainment in this
00:01:11 00:01:14 situation you're paying for information
00:01:13 00:01:15 again same thing when you're buying a
00:01:14 00:01:16 book that's not for the purpose of
00:01:15 00:01:17 entertainment it's for learning
00:01:16 00:01:19 something so
00:01:17 00:01:20 that's how i see it and it's really
00:01:19 00:01:22 weird because as someone who
00:01:20 00:01:24 i struggle with reading i'm not the
00:01:22 00:01:25 fastest reader i'm not the best reader
00:01:24 00:01:27 but more so i just can't pay attention
00:01:25 00:01:28 for a very long period of time
00:01:27 00:01:30 and that's something i'm working to get
00:01:28 00:01:32 better at i personally
00:01:30 00:01:34 learn way better visually as well as
00:01:32 00:01:36 audibly so what i do
00:01:34 00:01:37 is i'll go listen to a book on 2x speed
00:01:36 00:01:40 when i buy a course
00:01:37 00:01:41 i put it if i can on 2x speed if not
00:01:40 00:01:42 what i'll do is i'll have one of my
00:01:41 00:01:44 assistants which sounds really weird to
00:01:42 00:01:45 say but someone who helps do other
00:01:44 00:01:47 things for me
00:01:45 00:01:48 i'll have them go in there download
00:01:47 00:01:50 every single video in the program
00:01:48 00:01:52 because then i have a software i can
00:01:50 00:01:53 play it at 2 or even 3x speed
00:01:52 00:01:54 and that's something i do frequently
00:01:53 00:01:56 because i can understand things a little
00:01:54 00:01:58 bit faster than 2x speed
00:01:56 00:01:59 but no platform lets you play it at 2 at
00:01:58 00:02:00 more than 2x speed so
00:01:59 00:02:02 that's just something i've done in this
00:02:00 00:02:04 video i want to tok about the only
00:02:02 00:02:05 course you will ever need
00:02:04 00:02:07 hint this is really weird to say it's
00:02:05 00:02:08 not mine the only thing that mine does
00:02:07 00:02:09 is
00:02:08 00:02:11 assist e-commerce business owners or
00:02:09 00:02:13 online advertisers
00:02:11 00:02:14 with a very few specific skills it
00:02:13 00:02:15 doesn't cover everything in the
00:02:14 00:02:16 e-commerce space it doesn't cover
00:02:15 00:02:17 everything you're going to need in that
00:02:16 00:02:20 business
00:02:17 00:02:20 it helps with one or two very specific
00:02:20 00:02:22 things
00:02:20 00:02:24 the program program's only a few hundred
00:02:22 00:02:26 bucks and that is what we do and that's
00:02:24 00:02:27 one thing that i've been doing for many
00:02:26 00:02:28 many years creating new content inside
00:02:27 00:02:29 of there
00:02:28 00:02:31 and even as we say this right now our
00:02:29 00:02:31 fourth of july sale inside of there
00:02:31 00:02:33 we've had
00:02:31 00:02:35 who knows how many people jump inside 15
00:02:33 00:02:36 20 25 new business owners jump inside
00:02:35 00:02:37 there
00:02:36 00:02:39 we have new content drop and again you
00:02:37 00:02:39 can check all of those there's multiple
00:02:39 00:02:41 programs
00:02:39 00:02:43 linked in the description below but the
00:02:41 00:02:45 way that i see the course space
00:02:43 00:02:47 and any any learning at all the only
00:02:45 00:02:50 thing you actually need
00:02:47 00:02:51 is life because experience is the best
00:02:50 00:02:53 thing so
00:02:51 00:02:55 when i buy a course for two thousand
00:02:53 00:02:56 dollars and it shows me two things that
00:02:55 00:02:58 i didn't know like two things that i
00:02:56 00:02:59 kind of latch on to it's usually one two
00:02:58 00:03:00 maybe three different things that i
00:02:59 00:03:02 really
00:03:00 00:03:03 latch on to that i didn't know about
00:03:02 00:03:04 google ads and then the side of my
00:03:03 00:03:05 business
00:03:04 00:03:06 we go try a bunch of variations of that
00:03:05 00:03:07 a few of them don't work one or two of
00:03:06 00:03:09 them does and
00:03:07 00:03:11 boom you hit that one thing that works
00:03:09 00:03:13 right and now six year clients and two
00:03:11 00:03:14 of your main brands are scaled up doing
00:03:13 00:03:16 an extra hundred thousand dollars a
00:03:14 00:03:18 month each in gross revenue with
00:03:16 00:03:20 20 25 margin you're toking about one
00:03:18 00:03:20 little change for two thousand dollar
00:03:20 00:03:22 program that
00:03:20 00:03:24 is now you know bringing an extra 200
00:03:22 00:03:25 000 a month in profit for your company
00:03:24 00:03:27 it's one of those things where that's
00:03:25 00:03:28 what i look for and i don't always get
00:03:27 00:03:29 that you know not every program offers
00:03:28 00:03:31 something that's huge but
00:03:29 00:03:32 there's never i'll tell you this over 40
00:03:31 00:03:35 or 50 courses there's never been
00:03:32 00:03:36 one that didn't provide me something
00:03:35 00:03:38 just like i've never read a book or
00:03:36 00:03:39 listened to a book or a podcast
00:03:38 00:03:41 that didn't give me something because
00:03:39 00:03:43 even if it's not something to do
00:03:41 00:03:45 it could be something to not do and
00:03:43 00:03:47 knowing what to avoid and learning from
00:03:45 00:03:48 mistakes is also super crucial so here's
00:03:47 00:03:50 one thing i want to challenge you in
00:03:48 00:03:52 this video to do close your eyes real
00:03:50 00:03:54 quick and just picture
00:03:52 00:03:55 where you want to be that doesn't mean a
00:03:54 00:03:57 physical location
00:03:55 00:03:59 just envision what you want your life to
00:03:57 00:04:00 look like this sounds so weird and
00:03:59 00:04:02 cliche but the reason
00:04:00 00:04:03 i say it is because what i've notiked
00:04:02 00:04:04 and what i've learned is if you can
00:04:03 00:04:05 close your eyes
00:04:04 00:04:06 and you actually feel that mountain
00:04:05 00:04:07 you've wanted to climb what does it feel
00:04:06 00:04:10 like at the top
00:04:07 00:04:12 is it windy is it cold is it hot what
00:04:10 00:04:12 does that feel like what does it smell
00:04:12 00:04:14 like
00:04:12 00:04:16 what temperature is your pool what does
00:04:14 00:04:17 that water feel like you know the
00:04:16 00:04:19 do you have a paint on your dream car is
00:04:17 00:04:20 it painted or is it wrapped is it a
00:04:19 00:04:22 matte wrap because that wrap is going to
00:04:20 00:04:23 feel different on the door handle
00:04:22 00:04:26 you got to be able to place yourself for
00:04:23 00:04:28 a brief moment in those moments because
00:04:26 00:04:29 those and that level of visualization is
00:04:28 00:04:30 what will help you get there for an
00:04:29 00:04:32 example when i bought my first vehicle
00:04:30 00:04:33 which was and still is one of my dream
00:04:32 00:04:35 cars my bmw m4
00:04:33 00:04:37 within two hours of buying my dream car
00:04:35 00:04:39 at the time i drove to the only luxury
00:04:37 00:04:40 dealership back home in minnesota where
00:04:39 00:04:41 i grew up
00:04:40 00:04:43 and i drove and started looking at the
00:04:41 00:04:45 lamborghini huracan that was there
00:04:43 00:04:47 well 15 months later i bought that car
00:04:45 00:04:49 in cash for 210 000
00:04:47 00:04:50 the reason i believe that that happened
00:04:49 00:04:52 is because that level of always looking
00:04:50 00:04:53 ahead appreciating what you have and
00:04:52 00:04:56 always doing that but
00:04:53 00:04:58 always looking ahead always always just
00:04:56 00:04:59 thinking about that and visualizing it
00:04:58 00:05:01 helps you get there the same thing in my
00:04:59 00:05:03 business and so what i've done
00:05:01 00:05:04 is identified one or two ways that i
00:05:03 00:05:06 learned like i said it's not reading for
00:05:04 00:05:07 me i'll put that out there and be
00:05:06 00:05:08 vulnerable or whatever
00:05:07 00:05:10 that's not my strong suit in terms of
00:05:08 00:05:11 speed it's not the most efficient way
00:05:10 00:05:13 for me to learn
00:05:11 00:05:14 so i opt to every single year i attend a
00:05:13 00:05:15 couple different masterminds very
00:05:14 00:05:17 specific private groups
00:05:15 00:05:19 they cost a lot of money to attend i've
00:05:17 00:05:21 spent 50 100 maybe 150 000
00:05:19 00:05:23 at this point on different courses now
00:05:21 00:05:24 these revolve around either psychology
00:05:23 00:05:25 because this helps
00:05:24 00:05:27 with sales and certain structures inside
00:05:25 00:05:29 of my company a little bit on system
00:05:27 00:05:30 building and building teams inside of my
00:05:29 00:05:32 company but mostly specifics
00:05:30 00:05:34 advertising facebook ad programs google
00:05:32 00:05:35 ad programs you know how to build
00:05:34 00:05:36 custom built websites a bunch of
00:05:35 00:05:37 different things that will buy for not
00:05:36 00:05:39 only myself
00:05:37 00:05:41 but also different people inside of my
00:05:39 00:05:42 team inside of my ecommerce company
00:05:41 00:05:43 so that they can learn and i'll kind of
00:05:42 00:05:45 go through the program and then if it's
00:05:43 00:05:46 one that i really think could be
00:05:45 00:05:48 would be beneficial to everybody inside
00:05:46 00:05:49 the company we'll we'll have them go
00:05:48 00:05:50 through it as well and use it as a
00:05:49 00:05:52 company training tool
00:05:50 00:05:54 so there's certain things like that that
00:05:52 00:05:56 get really beneficial but
00:05:54 00:05:57 the way that i see it is you really only
00:05:56 00:05:59 need life and experience and the only
00:05:57 00:06:01 reason someone would buy
00:05:59 00:06:02 a book that is not an entertainment book
00:06:01 00:06:02 you know something we're just telling a
00:06:02 00:06:04 story
00:06:02 00:06:05 something that you get some value out of
00:06:04 00:06:06 the only reason someone would buy a
00:06:05 00:06:09 business type book
00:06:06 00:06:10 would be to accelerate a goal the only
00:06:09 00:06:12 reason someone would buy a course would
00:06:10 00:06:13 be to accelerate a goal so when i turn
00:06:12 00:06:15 around and go buy a google ad course i'm
00:06:13 00:06:16 not the best google ads i'd do okay with
00:06:15 00:06:17 it but
00:06:16 00:06:19 when i go buy a google ad course for a
00:06:17 00:06:22 thousand bucks well
00:06:19 00:06:23 my goal with that is to accelerate my
00:06:22 00:06:25 entire progress
00:06:23 00:06:27 with whatever i'm doing with google ads
00:06:25 00:06:28 right so i just want to put that out
00:06:27 00:06:29 there have the right
00:06:28 00:06:31 mindset around what you're trying to
00:06:29 00:06:32 achieve from it because i know no course
00:06:31 00:06:33 that i buy
00:06:32 00:06:35 is going to cover every single thing it
00:06:33 00:06:36 will cover potentially everything on one
00:06:35 00:06:37 topic
00:06:36 00:06:39 but here's the thing every course you
00:06:37 00:06:40 buy is going to be different and this is
00:06:39 00:06:41 what's fun about it
00:06:40 00:06:43 i made a mistake when i was first
00:06:41 00:06:44 starting e-commerce the first six months
00:06:43 00:06:46 i never bought a course
00:06:44 00:06:47 i thought i could learn off youtube i
00:06:46 00:06:48 was studying that i ended up losing all
00:06:47 00:06:49 of my money that i had saved it was
00:06:48 00:06:51 really really frustrating
00:06:49 00:06:52 and kind of got me down in the dumps i
00:06:51 00:06:54 never once gave up to me that was never
00:06:52 00:06:55 an option because i could just visualize
00:06:54 00:06:56 what it looked like when i had a
00:06:55 00:06:58 successful ecommerce company
00:06:56 00:06:59 and then i turned around and i bought
00:06:58 00:07:01 five i think it was five or six courses
00:06:59 00:07:03 whatever it was it cost me 3 500 bucks
00:07:01 00:07:04 which at the time was a lot of money
00:07:03 00:07:06 but the problem i didn't notike was all
00:07:04 00:07:06 six of these courses were on the same
00:07:06 00:07:08 topic
00:07:06 00:07:09 and they were all very different and so
00:07:08 00:07:10 i didn't really know exactly who to
00:07:09 00:07:11 listen to what strategy to pick and i
00:07:10 00:07:13 started like
00:07:11 00:07:14 mixing them together and that was a big
00:07:13 00:07:16 mistake in the beginning i believe you
00:07:14 00:07:16 should stik with one or two things
00:07:16 00:07:18 first
00:07:16 00:07:20 and then once it is making money things
00:07:18 00:07:21 are successful you can implement
00:07:20 00:07:22 individual tests and just do what's
00:07:21 00:07:24 called an a b split test that's
00:07:22 00:07:25 something we toked about in our program
00:07:24 00:07:27 where you can integrate different
00:07:25 00:07:28 strategies to see what works for
00:07:27 00:07:30 you because every person is going to
00:07:28 00:07:30 have a different path to get to where
00:07:30 00:07:32 they want to go
00:07:30 00:07:34 and their destination is also different
00:07:32 00:07:36 so outline that outline what you believe
00:07:34 00:07:38 to be the best way that you learn
00:07:36 00:07:40 is it visually is it audibly you know
00:07:38 00:07:42 can you sit down and read like i like
00:07:40 00:07:43 watching videos i also definitely like
00:07:42 00:07:44 being in person
00:07:43 00:07:46 now i'm partially an introvert so
00:07:44 00:07:47 sometimes i would rather just spend a
00:07:46 00:07:49 month
00:07:47 00:07:50 in my home alone you know not really
00:07:49 00:07:52 reading but listening and watching
00:07:50 00:07:54 things that's why i always have podcasts
00:07:52 00:07:55 playing in the background books
00:07:54 00:07:57 different things like that but that in
00:07:55 00:07:58 my opinion the only course you're gonna
00:07:57 00:07:59 need is life
00:07:58 00:08:01 but if you have a specific desired
00:07:59 00:08:02 outcome especially inside of a business
00:08:01 00:08:04 well you fast track it by buying
00:08:02 00:08:04 business books one of the first ones i
00:08:04 00:08:06 read was
00:08:04 00:08:08 robert kiyosaki you know the rich dad
00:08:06 00:08:10 poor dad i also read sam walton's
00:08:08 00:08:13 biography which was a great great story
00:08:10 00:08:14 detailing how he built walmart it was
00:08:13 00:08:16 phenomenal
00:08:14 00:08:17 and those principles and i started
00:08:16 00:08:18 getting some ideas and so you know i
00:08:17 00:08:20 started the first company which didn't
00:08:18 00:08:21 work and they started the second one so
00:08:20 00:08:23 those are things that i think are really
00:08:21 00:08:24 important i think any information
00:08:23 00:08:25 whether you're buying a book you know
00:08:24 00:08:26 i'm not the biggest reader i have a nice
00:08:25 00:08:28 little collection
00:08:26 00:08:30 of books and i read slowly but it's not
00:08:28 00:08:32 the most efficient way for me if it is
00:08:30 00:08:33 for you great do it buy a crap load of
00:08:32 00:08:34 books
00:08:33 00:08:36 i don't think i'll ever write a book
00:08:34 00:08:38 just because for me i'll only teach
00:08:36 00:08:40 in the medium or format that i learned
00:08:38 00:08:42 the best and for me that is through very
00:08:40 00:08:44 carefully crafted videos
00:08:42 00:08:46 that really have a lot of visuals inside
00:08:44 00:08:47 of there because with my adhd and my ocd
00:08:46 00:08:48 first of all everything's got to be
00:08:47 00:08:50 perfect but i'm also
00:08:48 00:08:51 all over the place that's why reading's
00:08:50 00:08:52 hard for me so i have to keep things
00:08:51 00:08:53 very visually entertaining very
00:08:52 00:08:55 interesting
00:08:53 00:08:56 fast paced and that's the same way that
00:08:55 00:08:58 i keep my programs no fluff
00:08:56 00:09:00 no bs and it's only inside the ecommerce
00:08:58 00:09:01 space as much as i love real estate and
00:09:00 00:09:02 with the millions
00:09:01 00:09:04 of real estate i own and transact and
00:09:02 00:09:06 the more that i'm constantly buying
00:09:04 00:09:08 i don't teach real estate maybe i will
00:09:06 00:09:09 one day that would be super fun
00:09:08 00:09:11 but i don't consider myself an expert at
00:09:09 00:09:13 that in my opinion there's a lot more
00:09:11 00:09:15 pieces that go into real estate
00:09:13 00:09:16 than e-commerce and the real reason that
00:09:15 00:09:19 i started the e-commerce
00:09:16 00:09:20 a long time ago was to get cash to do
00:09:19 00:09:21 real estate
00:09:20 00:09:22 so now that that's happened and now i
00:09:21 00:09:24 can really start learning that other
00:09:22 00:09:25 stuff so that's just my perspective on
00:09:24 00:09:26 it but i just wanted to put this out
00:09:25 00:09:27 there because i feel like a lot of
00:09:26 00:09:28 people don't tok about the word course
00:09:27 00:09:30 or mentorship the word program
00:09:28 00:09:32 um you know reading like how to actually
00:09:30 00:09:33 structure that um
00:09:32 00:09:34 i know a lot of people are out there
00:09:33 00:09:36 saying oh you gotta be reading books how
00:09:34 00:09:38 many business books have you read like
00:09:36 00:09:40 that's not an indication of success it's
00:09:38 00:09:41 truly not now you do have to be learning
00:09:40 00:09:42 some way somehow it just doesn't have to
00:09:41 00:09:44 be from
00:09:42 00:09:45 one specific thing because not
00:09:44 00:09:46 everybody's created equal i have friends
00:09:45 00:09:49 who literally
00:09:46 00:09:50 couldn't read like like actually i would
00:09:49 00:09:52 like they can't sit down and read two
00:09:50 00:09:53 pages it just wouldn't happen
00:09:52 00:09:55 like they can't focus on that but
00:09:53 00:09:56 they're masters at what they do inside
00:09:55 00:09:58 of their craft so
00:09:56 00:09:59 everybody has a different learning style
00:09:58 00:10:00 identify yours i hope this video helped
00:09:59 00:10:01 you out in some way
00:10:00 00:10:02 if it did make sure to drop click like
00:10:01 00:10:04 down below let me know if you have any
00:10:02 00:10:06 questions or comments on this topic

00:10:07 00:10:10 section down below and again you can
00:10:08 00:10:12 reference any of the e-commerce programs
00:10:10 00:10:13 in the advertising program linked in the
00:10:12 00:10:14 description down below if that's
00:10:13 00:10:16 something that interests you
00:10:14 00:10:18 if you are outside of the ecommerce
00:10:16 00:10:19 space as i've said before
00:10:18 00:10:20 that will not help you at all don't
00:10:19 00:10:22 bother even clicking the link but if
00:10:20 00:10:23 you're inside of that space
00:10:22 00:10:24 it will assist you greatly all right i

00:10:24 00:10:27 different style but i wanted to tok
00:10:25 00:10:28 about it i feel like it's important so

00:10:28 00:10:32 your life journey again
00:10:30 00:10:33 um no matter what you're doing you know
00:10:32 00:10:35 buy different coaching different
00:10:33 00:10:36 training like i'm big into certain
00:10:35 00:10:38 sports and i pay for coaches for that
00:10:36 00:10:39 you know the same reason i like you know
00:10:38 00:10:40 have trainers at the gym you have a
00:10:39 00:10:41 coach for a sport
00:10:40 00:10:43 it's the same type of thing you want to
00:10:41 00:10:44 accelerate a goal and get someone around
00:10:43 00:10:46 there who's uh
00:10:44 00:10:47 really good at what you do so same thing
