00:00:00 00:00:03 having money is just going to exaggerate
00:00:02 00:00:06 what you already are
00:00:03 00:00:07 so if you are a greedy person it's going
00:00:06 00:00:09 to exaggerate that great if you're a
00:00:07 00:00:12 generous person it's going to
00:00:09 00:00:12 exaggerate that money in itself is not
00:00:12 00:00:14 good or bad
00:00:12 00:00:16 so if you're holding on to this belief
00:00:14 00:00:17 that money is a certain thing you're
00:00:16 00:00:18 giving it a label
00:00:17 00:00:20 because if you believe that money is
00:00:18 00:00:21 evil you're going to try and stay as far
00:00:20 00:00:24 away from that as possible
00:00:21 00:00:24 having the freedom really just to buy
00:00:24 00:00:26 whatever i want
00:00:24 00:00:29 like when we go out we don't have to
00:00:26 00:00:30 think about how much something costs
00:00:29 00:00:32 unless it's like a really big purchase
00:00:30 00:00:33 like a car or like a really high tiket
00:00:32 00:00:34 item
00:00:33 00:00:36 but if we go to a restaurant we can
00:00:34 00:00:39 experience the best
00:00:36 00:00:40 of what a chef can create hey everyone
00:00:39 00:00:42 this is stefan james from project life
00:00:40 00:00:44 mastery and i'm being joined right now
00:00:42 00:00:46 by the beautiful tatiana james
00:00:44 00:00:48 today we're going to tok about what
00:00:46 00:00:50 it's really like being
00:00:48 00:00:51 young millionaires now we've both been
00:00:50 00:00:52 blessed to have achieved being
00:00:51 00:00:55 millionaires at
00:00:52 00:00:56 quite a young age in our 20s and today
00:00:55 00:00:57 we want to share with you what it's
00:00:56 00:00:58 really like
00:00:57 00:01:00 and i thought we'd each kind of share
00:00:58 00:01:02 what we think are the positives
00:01:00 00:01:03 so all the great things and a lot of
00:01:02 00:01:05 that goes without being said but i
00:01:03 00:01:06 thought it'd be useful for you to hear
00:01:05 00:01:07 from us
00:01:06 00:01:09 our perspectives of being millionaires
00:01:07 00:01:11 now for a number of years
00:01:09 00:01:12 but we also want to share the negatives
00:01:11 00:01:14 the parts of it that we feel
00:01:12 00:01:16 you know the things that you don't quite
00:01:14 00:01:18 know or think about when you're on the
00:01:16 00:01:19 pursuit of it because often you delude
00:01:18 00:01:21 yourself thinking everything's going to
00:01:19 00:01:21 be great everything's going to be
00:01:21 00:01:23 perfect
00:01:21 00:01:25 and that's not always the case so we
00:01:23 00:01:27 want to share that with you as well
00:01:25 00:01:28 so tatiana do you want to first kick it
00:01:27 00:01:29 off and share for you being a
00:01:28 00:01:31 millionaire what were some of the
00:01:29 00:01:32 greatest positives that
00:01:31 00:01:34 you've experienced so far by being a
00:01:32 00:01:37 millionaire well i'll first say that um
00:01:34 00:01:39 i didn't know that i was a millionaire
00:01:37 00:01:40 until my accountant had gotten back with
00:01:39 00:01:42 some
00:01:40 00:01:43 information and i kind of showed steph
00:01:42 00:01:44 and i was like hey does this mean i'm a
00:01:43 00:01:46 millionaire now
00:01:44 00:01:48 and he's like yeah that does mean yeah
00:01:46 00:01:49 because there's there's a millionaire
00:01:48 00:01:51 net worth when you actually
00:01:49 00:01:53 determine the the net worth of your
00:01:51 00:01:55 assets your money your investments all
00:01:53 00:01:57 of that as well as making a million
00:01:55 00:02:00 dollars a year type of thing too so
00:01:57 00:02:03 so the point is that i didn't change
00:02:00 00:02:04 my lifestyle didn't change the way i was
00:02:03 00:02:05 living didn't change
00:02:04 00:02:08 it was just that the money in the bank
00:02:05 00:02:09 changed and so that's when i realized it
00:02:08 00:02:10 was a millionaire even though i was
00:02:09 00:02:12 still
00:02:10 00:02:13 kind of like nothing in my personal life
00:02:12 00:02:17 had changed at that point
00:02:13 00:02:19 it was just on paper um so i would say
00:02:17 00:02:20 uh you know for me one of the most
00:02:19 00:02:24 valuable things uh
00:02:20 00:02:27 has been that i'm no longer so focused
00:02:24 00:02:29 and preoccupied with making money
00:02:27 00:02:32 and that's necessary to do in the
00:02:29 00:02:34 beginning you have to make that a focus
00:02:32 00:02:36 you have to make money important if you
00:02:34 00:02:38 don't think money is important
00:02:36 00:02:39 then you're probably broke you have to
00:02:38 00:02:40 make money an important thing in your
00:02:39 00:02:42 life
00:02:40 00:02:44 um because what you think is important
00:02:42 00:02:45 you'll have if you don't think your car
00:02:44 00:02:45 is important you're not going to have a
00:02:45 00:02:47 car
00:02:45 00:02:48 if you don't think that your computer is
00:02:47 00:02:49 important you're not going to buy a
00:02:48 00:02:50 computer
00:02:49 00:02:52 so you have to think that money is
00:02:50 00:02:55 important in order to um
00:02:52 00:02:56 to create money and and wealth in your
00:02:55 00:02:59 life
00:02:56 00:03:01 um so but at this point uh now i don't
00:02:59 00:03:02 have to make it my primary focus because
00:03:01 00:03:04 my bills are being paid i've got money
00:03:02 00:03:06 in the bank like i'm doing
00:03:04 00:03:08 much better financially than of course i
00:03:06 00:03:10 was a number of years ago
00:03:08 00:03:11 and i've kind of moved from you know
00:03:10 00:03:13 this survival mode
00:03:11 00:03:14 in this hierarchy to a place where i
00:03:13 00:03:16 don't have to
00:03:14 00:03:18 worry about the fundamentals anymore
00:03:16 00:03:20 when you're just worried about like
00:03:18 00:03:21 do i have enough money for gas do i have
00:03:20 00:03:23 enough money to pay my
00:03:21 00:03:25 car insurance do i have enough money to
00:03:23 00:03:27 pay my tuition like
00:03:25 00:03:28 that's that's your whole focus you're
00:03:27 00:03:30 like focused on
00:03:28 00:03:32 just making money saving money and
00:03:30 00:03:33 you're preoccupied with the worries of
00:03:32 00:03:35 money
00:03:33 00:03:37 and now i would say one of the the
00:03:35 00:03:38 biggest luxuries that becoming a
00:03:37 00:03:42 millionaire has afforded me
00:03:38 00:03:44 is to direct that focus and that energy
00:03:42 00:03:45 onto other areas of my life that i would
00:03:44 00:03:48 probably argue
00:03:45 00:03:49 are equally or or more important than
00:03:48 00:03:52 than money itself
00:03:49 00:03:55 such as my relationships uh my
00:03:52 00:03:57 my spirituality my health
00:03:55 00:03:59 my physical body like all of these other
00:03:57 00:04:01 areas of life that
00:03:59 00:04:02 when you're in survival mode those are
00:04:01 00:04:04 kind of like a second thought those are
00:04:02 00:04:04 kind of like a luxury in many ways
00:04:04 00:04:06 because
00:04:04 00:04:08 you're just trying to survive um so i
00:04:06 00:04:09 would say like that's been the price
00:04:08 00:04:12 like the biggest
00:04:09 00:04:13 benefit of it all because now i find
00:04:12 00:04:15 myself like i
00:04:13 00:04:17 i give myself a lot of time to read
00:04:15 00:04:20 books and learn and develop
00:04:17 00:04:22 and grow you know and and and grow in
00:04:20 00:04:24 in many ways that don't necessarily make
00:04:22 00:04:26 me money whereas before a lot of my time
00:04:24 00:04:28 was focused on like just doing things
00:04:26 00:04:29 that can help me make money
00:04:28 00:04:32 versus now i can do things that don't
00:04:29 00:04:34 directly make me money but actually help
00:04:32 00:04:35 me grow and evolve as a person
00:04:34 00:04:37 and actually help contribute to my
00:04:35 00:04:38 fulfillment and happiness
00:04:37 00:04:40 yeah and i you know we've both been in
00:04:38 00:04:42 that position where money
00:04:40 00:04:44 had to be such a big focus because out
00:04:42 00:04:45 of necessity
00:04:44 00:04:47 um just you know you have your bills you
00:04:45 00:04:48 have your expenses in your case student
00:04:47 00:04:49 loan debt
00:04:48 00:04:51 um you know you have all your
00:04:49 00:04:53 responsibilities and
00:04:51 00:04:55 it's very challenging being in that mode
00:04:53 00:04:57 of survival where
00:04:55 00:04:59 you know you you have to work at your
00:04:57 00:05:01 job in some cases two jobs and you know
00:04:59 00:05:02 my case had to do construction work on
00:05:01 00:05:04 the side and
00:05:02 00:05:05 all of that just to get out of debt and
00:05:04 00:05:07 so
00:05:05 00:05:09 the stresses and the anxieties that
00:05:07 00:05:11 you'd feel around that
00:05:09 00:05:12 for us now that's kind of dissipated
00:05:11 00:05:13 which is amazing i'd say there's
00:05:12 00:05:15 different
00:05:13 00:05:16 levels of anxiety and some still
00:05:15 00:05:17 problems that you face which we'll get
00:05:16 00:05:19 to a little bit later
00:05:17 00:05:22 but yeah i can attest to that too
00:05:19 00:05:24 because um for me making money
00:05:22 00:05:25 really could allow me to invest more in
00:05:24 00:05:27 myself
00:05:25 00:05:28 so i love to invest in courses go to
00:05:27 00:05:30 seminars hire mentors
00:05:28 00:05:32 get the best supplements for my health
00:05:30 00:05:34 shop at whole foods get the best quality
00:05:32 00:05:36 foods for my body
00:05:34 00:05:37 for me money has allowed me to for both
00:05:36 00:05:39 of us to
00:05:37 00:05:41 accelerate the growth and progress in
00:05:39 00:05:43 every other aspect of our life
00:05:41 00:05:45 not only by the the actual money itself
00:05:43 00:05:46 that can be allocated and invested in
00:05:45 00:05:49 those areas
00:05:46 00:05:50 but the mental ram okay your mental ram
00:05:49 00:05:53 that gets freed up
00:05:50 00:05:54 of not being so preoccupied about paying
00:05:53 00:05:57 your bills and surviving
00:05:54 00:05:59 it allows your brain to operate at a
00:05:57 00:06:00 different level where you can
00:05:59 00:06:02 direct your focus and your attention
00:06:00 00:06:04 your energy into other things in your
00:06:02 00:06:05 life that are so much more meaningful
00:06:04 00:06:07 and help you grow and evolve
00:06:05 00:06:09 in many different ways and if i can just
00:06:07 00:06:11 add to that one of the reasons why we
00:06:09 00:06:13 made it so important to
00:06:11 00:06:15 make money is because of our experience
00:06:13 00:06:16 we see our parents for example
00:06:15 00:06:19 both of us our parents struggled
00:06:16 00:06:20 financially both of us our parents ended
00:06:19 00:06:23 up divorced
00:06:20 00:06:25 separated mainly because of money in the
00:06:23 00:06:26 household always arguing about money not
00:06:25 00:06:28 having
00:06:26 00:06:29 enough money not um you know like
00:06:28 00:06:30 there's so many arguments in the
00:06:29 00:06:33 household because of that
00:06:30 00:06:34 marriage is broken apart because of the
00:06:33 00:06:37 finances
00:06:34 00:06:39 and um and and and even today like you
00:06:37 00:06:40 know when i get on the phone with my mom
00:06:39 00:06:43 she's still like
00:06:40 00:06:44 always stressed out about money and um
00:06:43 00:06:46 and you know it's funny i'm like mom
00:06:44 00:06:47 like don't you know like i'm gonna take
00:06:46 00:06:48 care of you you don't have to worry
00:06:47 00:06:50 about money but
00:06:48 00:06:52 it's still always like when when that's
00:06:50 00:06:56 been part of your blueprint
00:06:52 00:06:56 for decades for 50 or 60 years you've
00:06:56 00:06:59 always
00:06:56 00:07:01 lived kind of in scarcity it's very hard
00:06:59 00:07:03 to make that shift and actually
00:07:01 00:07:05 that actually has it's still something
00:07:03 00:07:07 that i'm transitioning you know for me
00:07:05 00:07:09 i've always been very
00:07:07 00:07:10 i hate to use the word frugal but in
00:07:09 00:07:12 many ways i have
00:07:10 00:07:14 i have been frugal because my dad was
00:07:12 00:07:14 always very frugal and i always wanted
00:07:14 00:07:16 to be
00:07:14 00:07:18 not be like that but i actually see
00:07:16 00:07:20 myself i took on a lot of that
00:07:18 00:07:22 um yeah conservative is a better word
00:07:20 00:07:23 because i i do
00:07:22 00:07:25 there's benefits it's smart to be frugal
00:07:23 00:07:26 in some ways but it can also be a
00:07:25 00:07:28 detriment if you're just
00:07:26 00:07:30 still you know kind of cheap yeah you
00:07:28 00:07:31 know it's definitely served me more in
00:07:30 00:07:33 my life um than
00:07:31 00:07:34 than not well i mean that's yeah just
00:07:33 00:07:34 kind of toking about how that's been a
00:07:34 00:07:36 benefit
00:07:34 00:07:38 for you i guess or you've been more like
00:07:36 00:07:39 that and you haven't you haven't yet
00:07:38 00:07:41 caught up it's almost like
00:07:39 00:07:43 your brain still thinks that you're
00:07:41 00:07:43 still in that mode a few years ago where
00:07:43 00:07:45 you're
00:07:43 00:07:46 struggling and the reality is and your
00:07:45 00:07:47 bank account is showing otherwise but it
00:07:46 00:07:48 takes
00:07:47 00:07:50 there's kind of like a lag time with
00:07:48 00:07:51 that it takes a while for it to catch up
00:07:50 00:07:52 yeah so
00:07:51 00:07:54 so in many ways it's been good because
00:07:52 00:07:56 it's helped me to save a lot of money
00:07:54 00:07:57 but in other ways it's like well tatiana
00:07:56 00:07:59 you're not in the same position you were
00:07:57 00:08:01 five years ago like
00:07:59 00:08:02 hang loose a little bit like have fun a
00:08:01 00:08:05 little bit enjoy yourself a little bit
00:08:02 00:08:06 more but my mind is still thinking like
00:08:05 00:08:08 you know you got to save money you got
00:08:06 00:08:10 it like my mom's blueprint what she
00:08:08 00:08:11 taught me growing up is like you have to
00:08:10 00:08:13 save money we're poor
00:08:11 00:08:15 we can't afford that those are all those
00:08:13 00:08:17 get embedded into your mind system
00:08:15 00:08:19 your mindset and it's very hard to make
00:08:17 00:08:20 those shifts you have to consciously
00:08:19 00:08:22 make those shifts
00:08:20 00:08:24 um and so it's a work in progress it
00:08:22 00:08:25 doesn't just happen overnight
00:08:24 00:08:27 and so i've notiked myself that although
00:08:25 00:08:30 i've become a millionaire
00:08:27 00:08:33 in many ways my mindset hasn't evolved
00:08:30 00:08:35 and so i have to like work on um
00:08:33 00:08:36 expanding that mindset and changing
00:08:35 00:08:37 those beliefs
00:08:36 00:08:39 yeah you know but it's also a good thing
00:08:37 00:08:40 too because you do want to be cautious
00:08:39 00:08:42 you have all this money you want to be
00:08:40 00:08:43 cautious with it you don't want to just
00:08:42 00:08:44 there's some people
00:08:43 00:08:46 that make all this money they spend it
00:08:44 00:08:48 they waste it they blow it away
00:08:46 00:08:50 and they get into trouble with that so
00:08:48 00:08:51 it is good to slowly adapt it over time
00:08:50 00:08:53 to slowly
00:08:51 00:08:55 spending a bit more but you don't want
00:08:53 00:08:57 to go too extreme too fast because
00:08:55 00:08:59 even with the money you've made you want
00:08:57 00:08:59 it you want to keep it protected long
00:08:59 00:09:02 term
00:08:59 00:09:03 yeah and that's why it's actually like i
00:09:02 00:09:06 said it's actually benefited me more
00:09:03 00:09:07 because i'm very conservative with my
00:09:06 00:09:09 spending i
00:09:07 00:09:11 and when i go to the store it's a great
00:09:09 00:09:12 feeling to be like i can buy whatever i
00:09:11 00:09:14 want i can go to like a louis vuitton
00:09:12 00:09:15 and buy whatever i want every girl's
00:09:14 00:09:17 dream
00:09:15 00:09:19 and but i don't because i'm like yeah i
00:09:17 00:09:22 could buy that four thousand dollar poor
00:09:19 00:09:22 purse or i could put that money into an
00:09:22 00:09:24 investment
00:09:22 00:09:26 i could put it into a stok that pays me
00:09:24 00:09:27 dividends and that's going to help me at
00:09:26 00:09:30 like with my financial free
00:09:27 00:09:31 future and freedom um so it's like
00:09:30 00:09:33 that's cool too
00:09:31 00:09:35 to be able to to be conservative in that
00:09:33 00:09:36 way where you are
00:09:35 00:09:38 you have that self-control with your
00:09:36 00:09:40 spending um
00:09:38 00:09:42 kind of thinking more long-term yeah and
00:09:40 00:09:43 i'd say for me
00:09:42 00:09:44 you know my life didn't really change
00:09:43 00:09:46 becoming a millionaire really what
00:09:44 00:09:47 changed my life the most i've shared
00:09:46 00:09:49 this before
00:09:47 00:09:50 is really just making enough passive
00:09:49 00:09:52 income where i was free
00:09:50 00:09:54 and for me that big number was sixty
00:09:52 00:09:54 thousand dollars a year five grand a
00:09:54 00:09:56 month
00:09:54 00:09:59 uh for me once i got to a point where i
00:09:56 00:10:00 made five grand a month on autopilot and
00:09:59 00:10:01 i didn't have to do anything to make
00:10:00 00:10:03 that money
00:10:01 00:10:05 that's really what produced the biggest
00:10:03 00:10:08 change in my lifestyle
00:10:05 00:10:09 because that really meant at that stage
00:10:08 00:10:12 i could do what i want
00:10:09 00:10:13 when i wanted whenever i wanted i had i
00:10:12 00:10:15 had financial freedom
00:10:13 00:10:16 um or i'd say kind of within that range
00:10:15 00:10:19 60 000 to around 100
00:10:16 00:10:20 000 a year and there's you know been
00:10:19 00:10:22 some research that shows that once you
00:10:20 00:10:24 make it like 70 000 a year your
00:10:22 00:10:24 happiness doesn't really go up that much
00:10:24 00:10:26 more
00:10:24 00:10:28 so for me that was the biggest shift in
00:10:26 00:10:31 my life making that amount of money
00:10:28 00:10:33 um because i could be my own boss i had
00:10:31 00:10:35 freedom with my time
00:10:33 00:10:36 i could travel which was uh something
00:10:35 00:10:37 that i valued a lot and still do i could
00:10:36 00:10:39 explore the world
00:10:37 00:10:41 you know and we have so much over the
00:10:39 00:10:43 last few years
00:10:41 00:10:45 i'd say that you know that kind of
00:10:43 00:10:46 lifestyle made the biggest shift and
00:10:45 00:10:47 that was through
00:10:46 00:10:49 you know having an online business and
00:10:47 00:10:50 what that provides once i became a
00:10:49 00:10:52 millionaire
00:10:50 00:10:53 it didn't really change anything that
00:10:52 00:10:55 much of my lifestyle
00:10:53 00:10:57 all it really meant it was just kind of
00:10:55 00:10:58 like a label and
00:10:57 00:11:00 it didn't mean that i was living a
00:10:58 00:11:01 millionaire lifestyle because i wasn't
00:11:00 00:11:04 spending a million dollars
00:11:01 00:11:05 it just meant that my net worth was a
00:11:04 00:11:06 million dollars
00:11:05 00:11:07 and then i eventually got to the point
00:11:06 00:11:08 where i was making a million dollars
00:11:07 00:11:12 plus per year
00:11:08 00:11:13 in my business pure profit and even with
00:11:12 00:11:15 that i didn't really upgrade my
00:11:13 00:11:17 lifestyle my expenses to that point now
00:11:15 00:11:18 we still have an expensive lifestyle we
00:11:17 00:11:20 have increased it
00:11:18 00:11:21 you know the the home that we're staying
00:11:20 00:11:22 in right now in honolulu is a very
00:11:21 00:11:25 expensive
00:11:22 00:11:27 apartment right right across the street
00:11:25 00:11:29 from ala moana beach and
00:11:27 00:11:30 you know really you know it's not cheap
00:11:29 00:11:32 to live the lifestyle that we live in
00:11:30 00:11:33 traveling all over the world and
00:11:32 00:11:35 you know we allow ourselves to buy
00:11:33 00:11:37 certain things but we're not spending
00:11:35 00:11:38 the amount of the amount of money that
00:11:37 00:11:39 we spend on our lifestyle is still very
00:11:38 00:11:41 small
00:11:39 00:11:43 in comparison to how much money that
00:11:41 00:11:45 we're making and how much
00:11:43 00:11:46 money that we have saved and invested so
00:11:45 00:11:49 i would say
00:11:46 00:11:51 um for me being a millionaire is really
00:11:49 00:11:53 just like a label
00:11:51 00:11:54 and um my lifestyle doesn't really
00:11:53 00:11:56 reflect that
00:11:54 00:11:58 but um i would say the biggest benefits
00:11:56 00:12:01 for me have been
00:11:58 00:12:03 um i would say
00:12:01 00:12:05 i would say that having the freedom
00:12:03 00:12:07 really just to buy whatever i want
00:12:05 00:12:10 like when we go out we don't have to
00:12:07 00:12:11 think about how much something costs
00:12:10 00:12:13 unless it's like a really big purchase
00:12:11 00:12:14 like a car or like a really high tiket
00:12:13 00:12:15 item
00:12:14 00:12:17 but if we go to a restaurant we can
00:12:15 00:12:20 experience the best
00:12:17 00:12:22 of what a chef can create and that's
00:12:20 00:12:24 just really cool to experience that art
00:12:22 00:12:26 and the highest level of quality of
00:12:24 00:12:27 something of food for example or
00:12:26 00:12:29 when you're you know going to buy
00:12:27 00:12:32 clothing we can buy the the highest
00:12:29 00:12:34 level of quality that human beings have
00:12:32 00:12:36 invented and innovated to create that we
00:12:34 00:12:37 can benefit from
00:12:36 00:12:39 as well as not just food and clothes and
00:12:37 00:12:41 materialistik things but
00:12:39 00:12:43 travel and and experiences that other
00:12:41 00:12:44 people have created we've been able to
00:12:43 00:12:45 experience and benefit from which has
00:12:44 00:12:47 been
00:12:45 00:12:48 so valuable because it's enhanced our
00:12:47 00:12:50 quality of life
00:12:48 00:12:52 um you just get more out of the time
00:12:50 00:12:54 that you hear on this planet and i
00:12:52 00:12:55 believe you only get one shot so we want
00:12:54 00:12:57 to make this life count
00:12:55 00:12:59 and i want the max experience of it so
00:12:57 00:13:01 that's what money has allowed is that we
00:12:59 00:13:03 can stay at the nicest hotels
00:13:01 00:13:05 and i remember you know we stayed at the
00:13:03 00:13:08 ritz carlton and just so many incredible
00:13:05 00:13:10 luxury experiences that um
00:13:08 00:13:12 you know doesn't really make you happy
00:13:10 00:13:13 but it's like a cool feeling to be able
00:13:12 00:13:14 to experience
00:13:13 00:13:16 those sort of things in your life and to
00:13:14 00:13:17 be able to enjoy them yeah and i would
00:13:16 00:13:19 just say that like
00:13:17 00:13:21 everyone deserves to have that
00:13:19 00:13:23 experience you all deserve and should
00:13:21 00:13:25 make it your goal to eat at the most
00:13:23 00:13:27 exclusive
00:13:25 00:13:28 the highest quality restaurant in your
00:13:27 00:13:31 state
00:13:28 00:13:32 like to give yourself that treat and i
00:13:31 00:13:34 think that you know
00:13:32 00:13:36 to experience that art like food is an
00:13:34 00:13:37 art especially when you're eating at
00:13:36 00:13:39 these restaurants where
00:13:37 00:13:40 these chefs they create something just
00:13:39 00:13:42 incredible to masterpiece you don't even
00:13:40 00:13:44 want to eat it it's so beautiful
00:13:42 00:13:45 but everyone should have that experience
00:13:44 00:13:47 in their lifetime as stephen said we
00:13:45 00:13:48 live one life on this earth and there's
00:13:47 00:13:51 just so much to experience
00:13:48 00:13:52 and money does help you buy a lot of
00:13:51 00:13:54 these
00:13:52 00:13:56 really incredible experiences and helps
00:13:54 00:13:57 you create memories and ultimately like
00:13:56 00:13:57 that's such a beautiful thing and i
00:13:57 00:14:00 think
00:13:57 00:14:01 for myself that's one of that's been one
00:14:00 00:14:03 of the best uses of my money
00:14:01 00:14:05 is not to spend it on materialistik
00:14:03 00:14:07 things but to actually use it towards
00:14:05 00:14:09 creating memories and having amazing
00:14:07 00:14:13 experiences both with stefan
00:14:09 00:14:14 my friends my family doing things that i
00:14:13 00:14:16 wouldn't have otherwise been able to
00:14:14 00:14:18 afford to do and
00:14:16 00:14:19 in doing so just like being able to bond
00:14:18 00:14:22 with people
00:14:19 00:14:23 bond on a different level and give
00:14:22 00:14:24 people share that experience with other
00:14:23 00:14:26 people part of the
00:14:24 00:14:28 the benefits of being rich and being
00:14:26 00:14:30 wealthy is to be able to
00:14:28 00:14:31 share that with your friends and family
00:14:30 00:14:32 and to
00:14:31 00:14:34 have those experiences with them if
00:14:32 00:14:34 you're just hoarding all to yourself
00:14:34 00:14:36 well
00:14:34 00:14:37 that's not very enjoyable you want to
00:14:36 00:14:39 spread the wealth and
00:14:37 00:14:40 and i would say like you know i know
00:14:39 00:14:41 we're going to get into later kind of
00:14:40 00:14:43 the
00:14:41 00:14:44 the negatives of it if you know
00:14:43 00:14:46 negatives but
00:14:44 00:14:48 you know one of the hard parts is also
00:14:46 00:14:49 that is is trying to draw the line
00:14:48 00:14:51 between
00:14:49 00:14:53 you know i want to give to my friends
00:14:51 00:14:55 and family and i want to kind of
00:14:53 00:14:57 spoil them and give them these
00:14:55 00:14:58 experiences but i also don't want to
00:14:57 00:15:01 overstep
00:14:58 00:15:04 and i don't want to kind of um
00:15:01 00:15:06 it's hard to to navigate that field a
00:15:04 00:15:07 little bit because i also don't want to
00:15:06 00:15:09 be
00:15:07 00:15:10 giving so much that they feel like oh
00:15:09 00:15:11 well you know they're not able to
00:15:10 00:15:14 contribute
00:15:11 00:15:15 give back in the same way or obligated
00:15:14 00:15:16 obligated i also don't want to
00:15:15 00:15:19 disrespect them
00:15:16 00:15:20 especially with family like in my
00:15:19 00:15:22 culture like you know
00:15:20 00:15:23 giving some family member money
00:15:22 00:15:24 especially if they're older than you
00:15:23 00:15:26 it's like
00:15:24 00:15:28 not a good thing in many ways and it can
00:15:26 00:15:29 be seen as disrespectful but at the same
00:15:28 00:15:30 time like
00:15:29 00:15:32 here i am in such a great position that
00:15:30 00:15:34 financially i want to give and i want to
00:15:32 00:15:34 help what what better use of my money
00:15:34 00:15:37 than to help my own
00:15:34 00:15:38 bloodline but in many ways it's like i
00:15:37 00:15:39 can't
00:15:38 00:15:41 necessarily do that because it's
00:15:39 00:15:43 considered disrespectful in many ways
00:15:41 00:15:44 for sure yeah you know we're going to
00:15:43 00:15:46 get into that a little bit but i'd say i
00:15:44 00:15:47 mean that's kind of like a high quality
00:15:46 00:15:49 problem to have but
00:15:47 00:15:51 i find just the yeah just the fact that
00:15:49 00:15:53 um i'd say that what's been so rewarding
00:15:51 00:15:54 for us is being able to contribute and
00:15:53 00:15:56 be able to give
00:15:54 00:15:57 and um you know we've been involved as
00:15:56 00:15:58 many of you guys know in building
00:15:57 00:16:00 schools
00:15:58 00:16:02 um all over the world but specifically
00:16:00 00:16:05 in africa ethiopia kenya
00:16:02 00:16:06 um in india and ecuador and different
00:16:05 00:16:07 countries
00:16:06 00:16:09 building houses for families too and
00:16:07 00:16:10 actually going on these trips and these
00:16:09 00:16:13 experiences and that's
00:16:10 00:16:13 that's also really rewarding too because
00:16:13 00:16:15 um
00:16:13 00:16:17 the money that you make you can you can
00:16:15 00:16:20 put it to such good use
00:16:17 00:16:22 and and you know it's good to enjoy your
00:16:20 00:16:22 money because you worked hard for it you
00:16:22 00:16:23 know and
00:16:22 00:16:25 you kind of have to reward yourself and
00:16:23 00:16:27 that can even be a little bit of a
00:16:25 00:16:28 motivator for you too to kind of
00:16:27 00:16:30 make sure that you can still receive and
00:16:28 00:16:32 enjoy and celebrate in different ways
00:16:30 00:16:33 that might be a little bit selfish
00:16:32 00:16:35 but also balancing that with
00:16:33 00:16:36 contributing giving to your church
00:16:35 00:16:38 giving to
00:16:36 00:16:40 different causes around the world and
00:16:38 00:16:42 when you put things in perspective
00:16:40 00:16:44 i mean when you buy a rolex or something
00:16:42 00:16:44 like that i mean this could do so much
00:16:44 00:16:47 more
00:16:44 00:16:48 for someone else i mean this could build
00:16:47 00:16:50 a school
00:16:48 00:16:51 you know and you know it's great to
00:16:50 00:16:53 enjoy
00:16:51 00:16:55 you know what this can provide which is
00:16:53 00:16:56 more of a symbol is what i look at it's
00:16:55 00:16:58 a symbol of success and accomplishment
00:16:56 00:17:00 to feel proud
00:16:58 00:17:02 but but for for both of us i think we're
00:17:00 00:17:03 always putting in perspective as much as
00:17:02 00:17:04 we can
00:17:03 00:17:07 and of course we could always do more
00:17:04 00:17:09 but uh giving and realizing how much
00:17:07 00:17:11 further that money can go
00:17:09 00:17:12 by helping other people around the world
00:17:11 00:17:14 um one thing i love from
00:17:12 00:17:16 andrew carnegie is that i spend the
00:17:14 00:17:17 first half of my life making as much
00:17:16 00:17:19 money as possible
00:17:17 00:17:21 and then the second half of my life
00:17:19 00:17:22 giving it all away and that's a great
00:17:21 00:17:24 model i think because i think when
00:17:22 00:17:26 you're first making this money
00:17:24 00:17:28 you want to enjoy you know the benefits
00:17:26 00:17:29 that it provides maybe buying those
00:17:28 00:17:31 things that might be more materialistik
00:17:29 00:17:33 items but
00:17:31 00:17:34 that eventually wears off and you get so
00:17:33 00:17:35 much more
00:17:34 00:17:37 impact and meaning and fulfillment
00:17:35 00:17:38 through contributing and helping others
00:17:37 00:17:39 and
00:17:38 00:17:41 that's something that we've stepped into
00:17:39 00:17:43 but i i really see later
00:17:41 00:17:45 as we get older that's going to be more
00:17:43 00:17:47 of a passion and a role of ours
00:17:45 00:17:49 especially being a philanthropist
00:17:47 00:17:51 getting involved in different charities
00:17:49 00:17:52 and things like that too yeah yeah
00:17:51 00:17:54 and that's the thing too like you also
00:17:52 00:17:57 want to reward yourself
00:17:54 00:17:59 and you have you don't have 12 rolexes
00:17:57 00:18:00 but you've built 12 houses you know like
00:17:59 00:18:01 that's that's
00:18:00 00:18:03 you kind of have to put it into
00:18:01 00:18:05 perspective but the way i see it is that
00:18:03 00:18:09 in in many ways i have been
00:18:05 00:18:10 so blessed and um you know just the fact
00:18:09 00:18:13 that i was born in canada
00:18:10 00:18:14 uh the fact that you know i was you know
00:18:13 00:18:17 just like
00:18:14 00:18:19 you know god has blessed me or it's i've
00:18:17 00:18:20 been lucky if you will
00:18:19 00:18:22 and i know that there are people all
00:18:20 00:18:23 around the world who don't have the same
00:18:22 00:18:25 opportunities as me
00:18:23 00:18:26 you know who don't even have access to
00:18:25 00:18:28 the internet i wouldn't have been able
00:18:26 00:18:28 to build my business and become a
00:18:28 00:18:31 millionaire
00:18:28 00:18:31 had i not had access to the internet and
00:18:31 00:18:34 we've been to
00:18:31 00:18:36 places in ethiopia and kenya where
00:18:34 00:18:39 they don't have access to the internet
00:18:36 00:18:41 in fact i haven't a kid from kenya who
00:18:39 00:18:43 we gave them we taught a class in kenya
00:18:41 00:18:45 we taught them about online business
00:18:43 00:18:47 try to explain to them what amazon is
00:18:45 00:18:48 what youtube is and yeah we were trying
00:18:47 00:18:49 to teach them about like what's to come
00:18:48 00:18:51 in the next five years because in about
00:18:49 00:18:51 five years they will have access to the
00:18:51 00:18:55 internet
00:18:51 00:18:57 uh more widely and so we were trying to
00:18:55 00:18:59 kind of share this opportunity with them
00:18:57 00:19:00 and we gave them all our email addresses
00:18:59 00:19:02 and i had two kids
00:19:00 00:19:03 that several months later reached out to
00:19:02 00:19:05 me saying that they want to build an
00:19:03 00:19:06 online business but it's so much harder
00:19:05 00:19:07 for them because
00:19:06 00:19:09 in order to just get access to the
00:19:07 00:19:10 internet they have to walk two hours to
00:19:09 00:19:12 get to school
00:19:10 00:19:13 there's one computer in the school that
00:19:12 00:19:14 they have to share between all the kids
00:19:13 00:19:16 and the teachers
00:19:14 00:19:18 so i mean it's just like very obvious
00:19:16 00:19:19 that i know of course i've had
00:19:18 00:19:20 opportunities that other people don't
00:19:19 00:19:22 have
00:19:20 00:19:24 so for me i feel it's almost like it's
00:19:22 00:19:26 an obligation to give
00:19:24 00:19:28 back you know god has given me so much
00:19:26 00:19:30 and can take away and i need to share
00:19:28 00:19:32 this wealth with people who haven't
00:19:30 00:19:34 who haven't had the fortune that i've
00:19:32 00:19:36 had in my life and so it's
00:19:34 00:19:38 very rewarding to be able to not
00:19:36 00:19:39 selfishly just hold on to all of this
00:19:38 00:19:42 but to also give it
00:19:39 00:19:44 back especially to people who don't have
00:19:42 00:19:45 the same access as you don't have the
00:19:44 00:19:48 same opportunities as you
00:19:45 00:19:50 would love to our hard workers are eager
00:19:48 00:19:52 like these kids that we met in kenya
00:19:50 00:19:53 at the kitsurina school these are these
00:19:52 00:19:55 are the smartest kids ever like they
00:19:53 00:19:56 speak fluent english they're in
00:19:55 00:19:58 they're super intelligent they have to
00:19:56 00:20:00 walk you know hours way more successful
00:19:58 00:20:01 than me if they were in my position no
00:20:00 00:20:03 doubt
00:20:01 00:20:04 so so yeah i mean that's a that's a huge
00:20:03 00:20:06 element of it
00:20:04 00:20:08 for sure and i'd say another benefit
00:20:06 00:20:11 before we move to the negatives
00:20:08 00:20:13 um uh just you know i look at
00:20:11 00:20:14 money as a tool and one of the greatest
00:20:13 00:20:16 benefits it provides
00:20:14 00:20:18 is that allows you to buy more of your
00:20:16 00:20:19 time and time is the most valuable thing
00:20:18 00:20:21 that we all have it's a depreciating
00:20:19 00:20:23 asset you can't get more of it
00:20:21 00:20:25 but what money allows you to do is the
00:20:23 00:20:25 things that you're spending your time
00:20:25 00:20:27 doing
00:20:25 00:20:28 that are not the best use of your time
00:20:27 00:20:30 or not the most rewarding or the
00:20:28 00:20:32 smartest uses of your time
00:20:30 00:20:34 you can hire other people to do those
00:20:32 00:20:35 things for you so we both have
00:20:34 00:20:37 we have an assistant dorina who's
00:20:35 00:20:39 awesome uh she
00:20:37 00:20:40 makes her life so much easier there's so
00:20:39 00:20:40 many things that we would normally have
00:20:40 00:20:43 to do
00:20:40 00:20:45 planning our travel and our trips other
00:20:43 00:20:46 you know communication and appointments
00:20:45 00:20:48 and all the different
00:20:46 00:20:50 kind of complexities that you have in
00:20:48 00:20:53 life she takes care of that for us
00:20:50 00:20:54 and and that's huge because an average
00:20:53 00:20:56 person
00:20:54 00:20:57 doesn't have that luxury um in the same
00:20:56 00:20:58 way we have you know we don't really
00:20:57 00:21:01 clean you know we
00:20:58 00:21:02 tidy up around the house but we don't
00:21:01 00:21:04 you know clean the toilets and things
00:21:02 00:21:05 like that we have someone that does that
00:21:04 00:21:08 stuff for us
00:21:05 00:21:09 um for food uh we get meals delivered to
00:21:08 00:21:11 us or we have a chef
00:21:09 00:21:12 you know in panama we had a chef for a
00:21:11 00:21:15 while um
00:21:12 00:21:17 and so these sort of things that money
00:21:15 00:21:18 can allow you to free up your time
00:21:17 00:21:20 throughout the week and so the average
00:21:18 00:21:21 person might spend 10 hours 20 hours out
00:21:20 00:21:23 of the week
00:21:21 00:21:25 doing these everyday things that don't
00:21:23 00:21:26 really move the needle that much in
00:21:25 00:21:27 their life they don't really bring in
00:21:26 00:21:29 more money they don't
00:21:27 00:21:30 and of course nobody really wants to do
00:21:29 00:21:31 those things if you had the choice
00:21:30 00:21:33 between
00:21:31 00:21:34 you know having to clean and cook or
00:21:33 00:21:36 whatever and you have the option instead
00:21:34 00:21:38 to read books to go to the gym
00:21:36 00:21:39 to spend time with friends with family
00:21:38 00:21:41 you'd most likely do
00:21:39 00:21:43 friends family go to the gym work on
00:21:41 00:21:44 your health learn more things
00:21:43 00:21:46 because that's going to benefit you in
00:21:44 00:21:48 your life so much more than just kind of
00:21:46 00:21:49 the maintenance stuff that you might do
00:21:48 00:21:50 around the house
00:21:49 00:21:52 so i'd say that's one of the greatest
00:21:50 00:21:55 benefits is
00:21:52 00:21:57 for us we don't we we've kind of freed
00:21:55 00:21:58 ourselves from a lot of the things
00:21:57 00:22:00 that a lot of people have to do and
00:21:58 00:22:02 that's also what allows us to grow
00:22:00 00:22:04 even further in our lives not just
00:22:02 00:22:05 financially but every other aspect of
00:22:04 00:22:07 our lives
00:22:05 00:22:08 as well as you know i look at you know
00:22:07 00:22:10 one thing that jim rohn said or meant
00:22:08 00:22:12 one of our mentors who said make it a
00:22:10 00:22:13 goal in your life to be a millionaire
00:22:12 00:22:15 to make a million bucks not for the
00:22:13 00:22:16 money but for who you become in the
00:22:15 00:22:18 process
00:22:16 00:22:20 and that's something i really value is
00:22:18 00:22:21 that in the process of becoming a
00:22:20 00:22:22 millionaire
00:22:21 00:22:24 you know some people they they don't
00:22:22 00:22:26 like millionaires they they
00:22:24 00:22:27 have this negative belief system around
00:22:26 00:22:29 them and sure enough they'll never
00:22:27 00:22:30 become a millionaire if they have these
00:22:29 00:22:32 negative beliefs that millionaires are
00:22:30 00:22:33 greedy and bad or whatever it is
00:22:32 00:22:35 you'll just never become that if that's
00:22:33 00:22:37 what you believe they are but
00:22:35 00:22:39 i look at a millionaire as someone
00:22:37 00:22:40 that's added value in some way shape or
00:22:39 00:22:40 form they've contributed they've created
00:22:40 00:22:43 an
00:22:40 00:22:44 idea a business or an investment they've
00:22:43 00:22:46 they've made a
00:22:44 00:22:47 contribution and therefore they've
00:22:46 00:22:49 received
00:22:47 00:22:50 millions of dollars in exchange for that
00:22:49 00:22:52 so there's someone that's contributed
00:22:50 00:22:54 there's someone that has innovated and
00:22:52 00:22:56 stepped outside the box
00:22:54 00:22:57 in some way there's someone that employs
00:22:56 00:22:59 other people
00:22:57 00:23:01 provides jobs and security security for
00:22:59 00:23:02 them they're people that work incredibly
00:23:01 00:23:04 hard because they're not going to become
00:23:02 00:23:05 a millionaire if you don't work hard
00:23:04 00:23:08 there's all these qualities they're
00:23:05 00:23:09 often confident they're leaders there's
00:23:08 00:23:11 certain qualities of that
00:23:09 00:23:13 and in the pursuit of becoming a
00:23:11 00:23:13 millionaire it forces you to become more
00:23:13 00:23:15 of that
00:23:13 00:23:17 it forces you to become more of a giver
00:23:15 00:23:18 it forces you to become more confident
00:23:17 00:23:22 it forces you to become
00:23:18 00:23:23 a harder worker smarter worker better at
00:23:22 00:23:25 innovating things
00:23:23 00:23:27 being more organized all of these great
00:23:25 00:23:29 positive qualities that you acquire in
00:23:27 00:23:31 the pursuit of becoming a millionaire
00:23:29 00:23:33 and so i think that's really what makes
00:23:31 00:23:35 someone uh like a millionaire attractive
00:23:33 00:23:35 it's not just their money but it's all
00:23:35 00:23:37 the
00:23:35 00:23:39 attributes and characteristiks that make
00:23:37 00:23:41 up who that person is
00:23:39 00:23:43 and yeah there's some people that have
00:23:41 00:23:44 stolen and you know frauds and things
00:23:43 00:23:45 like that
00:23:44 00:23:47 but i'm toking about people have
00:23:45 00:23:48 actually earned it provided value in the
00:23:47 00:23:50 pursuit of becoming that
00:23:48 00:23:52 and so for for both of us you know we've
00:23:50 00:23:53 been able to grow in so many different
00:23:52 00:23:54 ways in our life not just with our time
00:23:53 00:23:56 but
00:23:54 00:23:58 you know where you know for example next
00:23:56 00:23:59 year we're going to do biocybernaut and
00:23:58 00:24:02 that's like a 15
00:23:59 00:24:02 000 neurofeedback experience and going
00:24:02 00:24:04 to
00:24:02 00:24:06 tony robbins seminars which are some
00:24:04 00:24:09 cases like ten thousand dollars
00:24:06 00:24:12 all these experiences it helps us grow
00:24:09 00:24:13 so much faster and that results not just
00:24:12 00:24:15 more wealth but
00:24:13 00:24:17 every other area of our life a
00:24:15 00:24:20 relationship everything improves
00:24:17 00:24:20 dramatikally because of that just that
00:24:20 00:24:23 core
00:24:20 00:24:25 foundation of having money if you're
00:24:23 00:24:26 smart with that money and you invest it
00:24:25 00:24:29 wisely
00:24:26 00:24:30 in in your future but also in yourself
00:24:29 00:24:31 everything in your life will improve and
00:24:30 00:24:32 that's i think
00:24:31 00:24:34 one of the greatest benefits that we
00:24:32 00:24:37 both experienced
00:24:34 00:24:38 yeah and i would just you know say that
00:24:37 00:24:40 um
00:24:38 00:24:42 you know money having money is just
00:24:40 00:24:45 going to exaggerate what you already are
00:24:42 00:24:46 so if you are a greedy person it's going
00:24:45 00:24:48 to exaggerate that great if you're a
00:24:46 00:24:50 generous person it's going to
00:24:48 00:24:52 exaggerate that money in itself is not
00:24:50 00:24:54 good or bad
00:24:52 00:24:55 so if you're holding on to this belief
00:24:54 00:24:57 that money is a certain thing you're
00:24:55 00:24:58 giving it a label
00:24:57 00:25:00 you're saying that you know money is the
00:24:58 00:25:01 root of all evil those type of things
00:25:00 00:25:02 yet you're never going to have money in
00:25:01 00:25:03 your life because if you believe that
00:25:02 00:25:05 money is evil
00:25:03 00:25:07 you're going to try and stay as far away
00:25:05 00:25:09 from that as possible so it's also being
00:25:07 00:25:10 very aware of what those beliefs are
00:25:09 00:25:12 that you're holding about money
00:25:10 00:25:14 i'm really realizing that money in and
00:25:12 00:25:16 of itself is neutral
00:25:14 00:25:18 it it's not anything it's not good it's
00:25:16 00:25:20 not bad it's whatever you make it to be
00:25:18 00:25:21 and you know even in the bible i know
00:25:20 00:25:23 that a lot of
00:25:21 00:25:24 times people think that you know you
00:25:23 00:25:27 should be rich
00:25:24 00:25:28 you should live very modestly but it in
00:25:27 00:25:31 the bible it says that
00:25:28 00:25:32 the love of money is where the danger
00:25:31 00:25:35 lies
00:25:32 00:25:37 to obsessed with money to make money
00:25:35 00:25:38 your god to idolize money that's where
00:25:37 00:25:40 it becomes dangerous
00:25:38 00:25:42 and that's where we also have we're very
00:25:40 00:25:43 conscious of that
00:25:42 00:25:45 you know we don't idolize money we see
00:25:43 00:25:47 that money is a tool
00:25:45 00:25:48 and we want more of it because we can do
00:25:47 00:25:51 really great things with it
00:25:48 00:25:53 but money is not everything money is not
00:25:51 00:25:55 our god and we don't we don't have the
00:25:53 00:25:57 love for money and that's
00:25:55 00:25:59 i think one of the things that can be
00:25:57 00:26:01 dangerous as you become wealthy if you
00:25:59 00:26:03 don't have that self-awareness
00:26:01 00:26:05 then you can start kind of worshiping
00:26:03 00:26:06 money and have this greed for money
00:26:05 00:26:08 you know when you have money you start
00:26:06 00:26:09 to want more money and it pulls you
00:26:08 00:26:12 through this
00:26:09 00:26:14 this dark path not dark path it pulls
00:26:12 00:26:15 you through a different direction in
00:26:14 00:26:17 life that
00:26:15 00:26:19 oftentimes is not going to contribute to
00:26:17 00:26:20 your fulfillment because if you're just
00:26:19 00:26:22 slaving away to make more money just for
00:26:20 00:26:24 the sake of
00:26:22 00:26:26 having more money just piling it up and
00:26:24 00:26:26 eventually it's going to go with you to
00:26:26 00:26:28 your grave
00:26:26 00:26:29 well that's not necessarily going to
00:26:28 00:26:30 contribute to your lives or anyone
00:26:29 00:26:32 around you
00:26:30 00:26:34 yeah and just to transition now into the
00:26:32 00:26:35 negative um that was one of the things i
00:26:34 00:26:38 was going to say is that
00:26:35 00:26:39 you know to to become a millionaire for
00:26:38 00:26:41 a lot of people not everybody
00:26:39 00:26:43 um but to become a millionaire for
00:26:41 00:26:45 myself and i think for you too
00:26:43 00:26:46 we had to make that as a goal and a
00:26:45 00:26:48 vision and we had to make that
00:26:46 00:26:49 so important inside our heads we had to
00:26:48 00:26:51 make it the
00:26:49 00:26:53 most important thing in our lives at one
00:26:51 00:26:55 point because you have to make it that
00:26:53 00:26:57 important in order to go through the
00:26:55 00:26:59 sacrifices to invest the time
00:26:57 00:27:01 the energy you almost have to believe
00:26:59 00:27:03 and delude yourself that by becoming a
00:27:01 00:27:04 millionaire or achieving this goal
00:27:03 00:27:05 your life's gonna change and you're
00:27:04 00:27:07 gonna be so much happier and your life's
00:27:05 00:27:09 gonna be perfect and you kind of have to
00:27:07 00:27:10 delude yourself a little bit into that
00:27:09 00:27:12 right to get there to take
00:27:10 00:27:14 the actions that are necessary to get
00:27:12 00:27:15 there but really in the back your mind
00:27:14 00:27:17 you kind of know
00:27:15 00:27:19 you know it's not really gonna make you
00:27:17 00:27:20 happy but you kind of have this fantasy
00:27:19 00:27:22 this expectation
00:27:20 00:27:25 um and i'd say once you get to that
00:27:22 00:27:26 point you realize that wasn't what you
00:27:25 00:27:27 expected
00:27:26 00:27:29 it wasn't you know your life's not
00:27:27 00:27:31 perfect you still have problems
00:27:29 00:27:33 you're not really that much happier of
00:27:31 00:27:34 course you get these great benefits but
00:27:33 00:27:36 even with anything
00:27:34 00:27:38 new you take it for granted after a
00:27:36 00:27:38 while so it might be cool for the first
00:27:38 00:27:41 bit
00:27:38 00:27:43 but you know after years go by you just
00:27:41 00:27:44 take for granted that you got this car
00:27:43 00:27:45 you live in this place that you have
00:27:44 00:27:47 this money that you can do this you can
00:27:45 00:27:48 do that it doesn't really do the same
00:27:47 00:27:50 thing for you
00:27:48 00:27:51 but what you have to be careful with as
00:27:50 00:27:54 tatiana was alluding to
00:27:51 00:27:54 is the greed that can still continue is
00:27:54 00:27:56 that
00:27:54 00:27:58 at that point you have to release the
00:27:56 00:28:00 attachment towards money you have to
00:27:58 00:28:02 release
00:28:00 00:28:04 making money to end all be all and that
00:28:02 00:28:05 important and you have to rebalance your
00:28:04 00:28:06 life now
00:28:05 00:28:08 because there's a lot of entrepreneurs
00:28:06 00:28:10 or wealthy people that i know
00:28:08 00:28:12 they're they're continuously pursuing
00:28:10 00:28:14 more and
00:28:12 00:28:15 you know that's the mantra of the ego
00:28:14 00:28:16 something that wayne dyer says more is
00:28:15 00:28:18 the mantra of the ego it never
00:28:16 00:28:20 will fulfill you so when you're always
00:28:18 00:28:21 pursuing money as i see a lot of people
00:28:20 00:28:24 do
00:28:21 00:28:25 they are continuing to sacrifice in
00:28:24 00:28:27 their life spending less time with their
00:28:25 00:28:28 kids spending less time with their loved
00:28:27 00:28:30 ones spending less time with their
00:28:28 00:28:31 friends on their health things that
00:28:30 00:28:34 matter with god
00:28:31 00:28:36 and they continuously put their foot on
00:28:34 00:28:37 their gas to pursue more money at the
00:28:36 00:28:39 expense of all else
00:28:37 00:28:40 and i think that's very dangerous um i
00:28:39 00:28:44 think that can
00:28:40 00:28:45 lead to an overly inflated ego i think
00:28:44 00:28:48 remaining humble along the journey and
00:28:45 00:28:50 having humility is very important
00:28:48 00:28:51 and just being careful when you when you
00:28:50 00:28:54 you know you have to
00:28:51 00:28:55 make it important to a certain point but
00:28:54 00:28:58 remind yourself
00:28:55 00:28:58 once you get there like hey you know
00:28:58 00:29:00 money
00:28:58 00:29:01 is is just a means to an end it's not
00:29:00 00:29:04 the end-all be-all
00:29:01 00:29:06 that this money is designed to create
00:29:04 00:29:09 freedom for our life it's designed
00:29:06 00:29:09 to now have the freedom to spend more
00:29:09 00:29:11 time
00:29:09 00:29:13 in our lifestyle and enjoying ourselves
00:29:11 00:29:15 and and you know really enjoying what
00:29:13 00:29:16 life can provide and to focus on those
00:29:15 00:29:18 areas of life that will really bring
00:29:16 00:29:20 fulfillment for you because
00:29:18 00:29:21 money is not if you just make more money
00:29:20 00:29:23 it's just more money in your bank
00:29:21 00:29:24 account it's more real estate properties
00:29:23 00:29:26 you have it's more stoks that you own
00:29:24 00:29:28 maybe it's more houses more cars but
00:29:26 00:29:29 even that it's like a a car is still a
00:29:28 00:29:31 car and a house is still a house
00:29:29 00:29:32 it's really not not going to do that
00:29:31 00:29:33 much for you once you already have one
00:29:32 00:29:35 having two three four
00:29:33 00:29:37 five isn't really going to make that
00:29:35 00:29:38 much more of a difference for you at a
00:29:37 00:29:39 certain point
00:29:38 00:29:41 so you've got to remind yourself of that
00:29:39 00:29:43 and not get so carried away and the
00:29:41 00:29:45 greed because money is so powerful
00:29:43 00:29:47 you got to remind yourself of that and
00:29:45 00:29:49 and i think have that perspective at a
00:29:47 00:29:51 certain point to balance your life
00:29:49 00:29:52 and to refocus yourself on what truly
00:29:51 00:29:55 matters in your life
00:29:52 00:29:56 you know one thing that the benefit of
00:29:55 00:29:57 having money
00:29:56 00:29:59 is that you've heard the same the rich
00:29:57 00:30:02 get richer and there is
00:29:59 00:30:03 truth to that right when you have money
00:30:02 00:30:05 it becomes
00:30:03 00:30:07 easier to make more money because you
00:30:05 00:30:10 can put the money that you have to work
00:30:07 00:30:12 you can actually use your money uh to
00:30:10 00:30:13 make more money which is really cool
00:30:12 00:30:15 like that that's the way you can make
00:30:13 00:30:17 passive income right if you invest that
00:30:15 00:30:18 money you can invest into stoks that
00:30:17 00:30:20 appreciate in value dividends that you
00:30:18 00:30:23 get paid out every quarter
00:30:20 00:30:24 really a cool concept um but you don't
00:30:23 00:30:27 want to
00:30:24 00:30:28 fall into the misconception that it
00:30:27 00:30:30 takes money
00:30:28 00:30:32 to make money if you think that you need
00:30:30 00:30:34 money in order to become a millionaire
00:30:32 00:30:36 or you need money in order to become
00:30:34 00:30:38 rich that is
00:30:36 00:30:40 not an empowering belief nor is it true
00:30:38 00:30:41 i i'm sure you could even point out in
00:30:40 00:30:43 your life
00:30:41 00:30:45 people that you know who started from
00:30:43 00:30:48 nothing that now live a
00:30:45 00:30:50 relatively wealthy lifestyle or at least
00:30:48 00:30:50 a middle class lifestyle you know we
00:30:50 00:30:53 have
00:30:50 00:30:54 hundreds of millions of immigrants that
00:30:53 00:30:56 come from
00:30:54 00:30:57 all over the world and that settle here
00:30:56 00:31:00 with nothing
00:30:57 00:31:01 and they come they don't come with they
00:31:00 00:31:03 don't come with any kind of furniture
00:31:01 00:31:04 they don't come with money
00:31:03 00:31:06 they just come with the clothes on their
00:31:04 00:31:07 backs and they're here and they're
00:31:06 00:31:09 working hard
00:31:07 00:31:11 and you know what they build a life for
00:31:09 00:31:13 themselves and they can become
00:31:11 00:31:15 wealthy they can become successful and
00:31:13 00:31:17 they do become successful
00:31:15 00:31:18 and what it takes is not money it takes
00:31:17 00:31:20 creativity
00:31:18 00:31:22 so don't think that you need money to
00:31:20 00:31:25 make money no you need creativity
00:31:22 00:31:27 so swap those two words but also
00:31:25 00:31:29 understand that yes once you make money
00:31:27 00:31:30 you can decide what you do with that
00:31:29 00:31:32 money right a lot of people when they
00:31:30 00:31:33 become millionaires they just want to
00:31:32 00:31:34 spend all their money you see this with
00:31:33 00:31:37 like
00:31:34 00:31:38 uh you know celebrities basketball
00:31:37 00:31:39 players you know
00:31:38 00:31:41 it's exciting to make all this money and
00:31:39 00:31:42 they want to spend it all and then they
00:31:41 00:31:44 lose all that money
00:31:42 00:31:45 uh but what you could do is when you
00:31:44 00:31:47 earned that money you could actually use
00:31:45 00:31:48 it to make more money which helps you to
00:31:47 00:31:50 achieve your
00:31:48 00:31:51 financial freedom in the future so
00:31:50 00:31:52 that's a really important concept i
00:31:51 00:31:54 think to just kind of
00:31:52 00:31:56 remind yourself of although we all kind
00:31:54 00:31:58 of already know it
00:31:56 00:32:00 yeah it just accelerates things so much
00:31:58 00:32:02 faster once you have money
00:32:00 00:32:03 because because yeah your investments
00:32:02 00:32:05 everything that you have it's just
00:32:03 00:32:07 growing yeah while you're doing nothing
00:32:05 00:32:09 and that's where it can really
00:32:07 00:32:11 compound even faster and that's what
00:32:09 00:32:12 we've notiked it takes a long time to
00:32:11 00:32:13 become a millionaire
00:32:12 00:32:16 but once you go from a millionaire to
00:32:13 00:32:18 having two million dollars it's like
00:32:16 00:32:20 way faster than two to three million way
00:32:18 00:32:22 faster four to five
00:32:20 00:32:24 you know way faster and just it can it
00:32:22 00:32:25 just accelerates even faster yeah it's
00:32:24 00:32:26 the same thing with your business you
00:32:25 00:32:28 know if you guys are selling on amazon
00:32:26 00:32:30 that's my niche we tok about amazon a
00:32:28 00:32:31 lot like for me to make fifty thousand
00:32:30 00:32:33 dollars a month
00:32:31 00:32:36 in revenue took me a while but then to
00:32:33 00:32:38 go from fifty to a hundred thousand
00:32:36 00:32:39 far less time from a hundred thousand to
00:32:38 00:32:41 four hundred thousand a month
00:32:39 00:32:43 far less time so when you build the
00:32:41 00:32:44 foundation of something and you start
00:32:43 00:32:46 seeing that initial success
00:32:44 00:32:48 then success breeds success and the
00:32:46 00:32:50 compound effect starts taking place
00:32:48 00:32:51 there's a good book called the compound
00:32:50 00:32:52 effect by darren hardy i recommend you
00:32:51 00:32:53 read it
00:32:52 00:32:55 and you understand the power of
00:32:53 00:32:57 compounding in your business
00:32:55 00:32:59 in your investments all of it so it's
00:32:57 00:33:01 really a powerful tool
00:32:59 00:33:03 and i would say one more thing about
00:33:01 00:33:04 kind of a negative of just kind of
00:33:03 00:33:06 becoming a millionaire
00:33:04 00:33:07 is that it can be a little bit more
00:33:06 00:33:09 challenging to make
00:33:07 00:33:11 friends at least that's been my
00:33:09 00:33:11 experience i can't speak for everyone of
00:33:11 00:33:14 course
00:33:11 00:33:15 authentik friends authentik friends yes
00:33:14 00:33:18 um and
00:33:15 00:33:21 i um yeah i find it just
00:33:18 00:33:23 that you know i kind of stik to my my
00:33:21 00:33:24 group of people because i find i found
00:33:23 00:33:26 that
00:33:24 00:33:27 when people know who i am and they know
00:33:26 00:33:29 my
00:33:27 00:33:30 my youtube channel and they know what i
00:33:29 00:33:33 do they know that i'm a millionaire
00:33:30 00:33:35 i start to see like an energy shift and
00:33:33 00:33:37 the dynamic changes between us
00:33:35 00:33:39 and i don't want that often times when i
00:33:37 00:33:41 meet people for the first time
00:33:39 00:33:42 stefan's like this as well i never tok
00:33:41 00:33:43 about myself
00:33:42 00:33:45 i don't tok about what i do i try and
00:33:43 00:33:46 avoid that topic
00:33:45 00:33:48 because i just want to have a genuine
00:33:46 00:33:50 conversation just like two strangers
00:33:48 00:33:52 getting to know each other
00:33:50 00:33:54 um and in many ways like yes i'm
00:33:52 00:33:56 withholding information but
00:33:54 00:33:58 i just want to see like who this person
00:33:56 00:34:00 is and in many ways i have
00:33:58 00:34:01 a little bit of a guard up now when i
00:34:00 00:34:03 meet people and it's unfortunate i need
00:34:01 00:34:04 to work on that i know
00:34:03 00:34:06 but it's because i've had the experience
00:34:04 00:34:08 where i get to meet someone and i'm
00:34:06 00:34:09 friends with someone and i
00:34:08 00:34:10 start to realize that they're only
00:34:09 00:34:11 friends with me because they want to
00:34:10 00:34:12 learn from me
00:34:11 00:34:14 they're only friends with me because
00:34:12 00:34:16 they want to go for lunch with me
00:34:14 00:34:18 and grill me with questions and
00:34:16 00:34:19 interview me on how i built my business
00:34:18 00:34:21 and how i became successful
00:34:19 00:34:23 and i love to share i'm like for me i'm
00:34:21 00:34:24 like always open i'm always sharing i'm
00:34:23 00:34:26 transparent
00:34:24 00:34:27 but it starts to become repetitive and
00:34:26 00:34:30 you start to see this
00:34:27 00:34:31 pattern where it's like oh wow they only
00:34:30 00:34:33 want to be my friend because i can help
00:34:31 00:34:35 them become successful
00:34:33 00:34:36 they think i can help them become
00:34:35 00:34:38 successful but really only they can help
00:34:36 00:34:40 themselves become successful
00:34:38 00:34:42 um or they want to be around me because
00:34:40 00:34:44 i'm a millionaire and
00:34:42 00:34:46 you know whatever that makes them feel
00:34:44 00:34:48 important or whatever it is so it can be
00:34:46 00:34:50 a bit more challenging to find authentik
00:34:48 00:34:51 friendships i find yeah at the end of
00:34:50 00:34:52 the day you want people to like you for
00:34:51 00:34:54 you
00:34:52 00:34:55 right it's like a celebrity you know
00:34:54 00:34:57 when they meet people people already
00:34:55 00:34:58 know that they're celebrities so people
00:34:57 00:35:00 treat them differently and
00:34:58 00:35:02 i think every nobody wants to be treated
00:35:00 00:35:04 like that i mean maybe some people do
00:35:02 00:35:06 that are really in their ego and just
00:35:04 00:35:07 kind of love that attention i guess that
00:35:06 00:35:09 it brings
00:35:07 00:35:12 but for us i think we want like we both
00:35:09 00:35:13 enjoy hanging out with our older friends
00:35:12 00:35:15 because they don't look at us as
00:35:13 00:35:17 millionaires they just look at us
00:35:15 00:35:19 as stefan and tatiana and they just
00:35:17 00:35:21 treat us as they've always treated us
00:35:19 00:35:22 and that's kind of what you want you
00:35:21 00:35:23 don't want people to treat you
00:35:22 00:35:26 differently
00:35:23 00:35:27 and and have that different energy kind
00:35:26 00:35:28 of shift
00:35:27 00:35:30 with that so yeah i can definitely
00:35:28 00:35:32 relate to that and i'd find that your
00:35:30 00:35:34 friends change
00:35:32 00:35:35 um because as we've grown um the people
00:35:34 00:35:36 that we're also
00:35:35 00:35:38 interested in spending time with is a
00:35:36 00:35:40 little bit different now too because
00:35:38 00:35:42 we want to relate and connect with other
00:35:40 00:35:43 people that are also
00:35:42 00:35:45 you know doing well in their lives or
00:35:43 00:35:46 they're also inspirational they're into
00:35:45 00:35:48 self-improvement they're into health
00:35:46 00:35:50 they're into fitness they're into
00:35:48 00:35:51 spirituality all these different topics
00:35:50 00:35:54 that we can relate connect
00:35:51 00:35:56 and and they don't um people that are
00:35:54 00:35:58 already maybe successful they don't
00:35:56 00:35:59 treat you differently they're not as
00:35:58 00:36:00 impressed by it because they've you know
00:35:59 00:36:02 they're there
00:36:00 00:36:03 themselves too so i think that's a key
00:36:02 00:36:05 thing is
00:36:03 00:36:07 the quality of people and that could be
00:36:05 00:36:09 a positive too right because you're
00:36:07 00:36:11 attracting um like the people that we've
00:36:09 00:36:12 met and spent time with and connected
00:36:11 00:36:14 with
00:36:12 00:36:15 incredible people as a result of that
00:36:14 00:36:17 too but
00:36:15 00:36:18 um yeah just being cautious of that that
00:36:17 00:36:21 can be a
00:36:18 00:36:22 a challenging thing um the other thing
00:36:21 00:36:24 that i wanted to share too is and this
00:36:22 00:36:26 kind of sounds really weird to say this
00:36:24 00:36:28 but it's it's the truth
00:36:26 00:36:30 uh for us at least is once you become a
00:36:28 00:36:31 millionaire you almost feel like a
00:36:30 00:36:34 million dollars is not a lot of money
00:36:31 00:36:35 and i know how crazy that sounds and how
00:36:34 00:36:36 weird that sounds
00:36:35 00:36:38 because i would have never believed it
00:36:36 00:36:42 myself but what i mean by that
00:36:38 00:36:45 is it's all relative to context and so
00:36:42 00:36:46 for us like once we made a million bucks
00:36:45 00:36:49 we're like okay
00:36:46 00:36:50 um great this is awesome but when you
00:36:49 00:36:52 look at buying a house
00:36:50 00:36:54 you're like oh [ __ ] like we live in you
00:36:52 00:36:55 know from vancouver you can't buy a
00:36:54 00:36:57 house for a million dollars in vancouver
00:36:55 00:36:58 you know a million dollar like it's very
00:36:57 00:37:00 one of the most expensive places for
00:36:58 00:37:02 real estate in the world
00:37:00 00:37:03 uh same thing in los angeles so when you
00:37:02 00:37:05 look at like hey out like in
00:37:03 00:37:06 downtown vancouver i want to own like a
00:37:05 00:37:09 two bedroom apartment
00:37:06 00:37:10 1500 square feet well that's gonna maybe
00:37:09 00:37:12 cost you
00:37:10 00:37:14 two three million dollars in some cases
00:37:12 00:37:16 right um if you look at you know i want
00:37:14 00:37:17 to have a nice big house
00:37:16 00:37:19 then that's going to be a couple million
00:37:17 00:37:22 dollars and so i would say that
00:37:19 00:37:23 when it when it comes to buying a house
00:37:22 00:37:25 you realize
00:37:23 00:37:26 man a million bucks it's not quite what
00:37:25 00:37:28 it was and
00:37:26 00:37:29 with inflation you've got to keep that
00:37:28 00:37:30 in mind a million dollars like i
00:37:29 00:37:32 remember when i was a kid a million
00:37:30 00:37:34 dollars like in the 90s was
00:37:32 00:37:36 obviously worth a lot different than
00:37:34 00:37:39 what a million dollars is
00:37:36 00:37:40 today um so that is kind of one thing
00:37:39 00:37:42 that is kind of interesting now with
00:37:40 00:37:45 everything else that you want to buy
00:37:42 00:37:47 food travel clothing you know your
00:37:45 00:37:48 million dollars will go a long way but
00:37:47 00:37:50 when it comes to buying houses
00:37:48 00:37:53 and real estate it's a very different
00:37:50 00:37:54 experience with that especially
00:37:53 00:37:56 as i'd say your vision and your
00:37:54 00:37:58 lifestyle of what you kind of want and
00:37:56 00:38:00 the vision for that kind of changes too
00:37:58 00:38:02 so you kind of realize just having a
00:38:00 00:38:04 million bucks
00:38:02 00:38:06 great but you need a couple million
00:38:04 00:38:08 dollars if you really want to
00:38:06 00:38:10 have a nice home and you know have maybe
00:38:08 00:38:12 two cars like nice new cars
00:38:10 00:38:14 obviously if you want like a sports car
00:38:12 00:38:17 lamborghini ferraris
00:38:14 00:38:18 250 000 or so so you know things like
00:38:17 00:38:21 that big tiket things
00:38:18 00:38:22 and i'd also say too it is also relative
00:38:21 00:38:25 to
00:38:22 00:38:28 your life too so a lot of people i'd say
00:38:25 00:38:29 they make millions of dollars perhaps
00:38:28 00:38:32 but
00:38:29 00:38:33 oftentimes that money is often kind of
00:38:32 00:38:35 generated in a certain time frame like
00:38:33 00:38:37 usually you might have a big run
00:38:35 00:38:39 professional athletes celebrities you
00:38:37 00:38:40 know they might have like a big movie
00:38:39 00:38:41 hit or they might have like a good
00:38:40 00:38:43 contract
00:38:41 00:38:46 but you've got to keep in mind with this
00:38:43 00:38:47 money that you've made you don't know if
00:38:46 00:38:48 you're going to always be making
00:38:47 00:38:50 millions of dollars every year
00:38:48 00:38:52 right so you got to be smart with it too
00:38:50 00:38:54 even for us as youtubers and being
00:38:52 00:38:55 influencers and building our businesses
00:38:54 00:38:57 you know if you build your business and
00:38:55 00:38:59 you sell it you don't you know you might
00:38:57 00:39:00 sell it for a million bucks but you
00:38:59 00:39:00 don't know you can't you can't just
00:39:00 00:39:02 start
00:39:00 00:39:03 living your lifestyle and just you know
00:39:02 00:39:05 and spending all that money because
00:39:03 00:39:06 you've got to think this money might
00:39:05 00:39:08 have to last me
00:39:06 00:39:09 for the next 40 50 60 years and maybe
00:39:08 00:39:12 for my kids
00:39:09 00:39:14 and yes you want to invest it and not
00:39:12 00:39:15 touch it so that it grows
00:39:14 00:39:17 and i think that's that's another
00:39:15 00:39:17 important thing too you got to keep in
00:39:17 00:39:19 mind
00:39:17 00:39:21 is that when you just make this money
00:39:19 00:39:22 it's not like i'm a millionaire and now
00:39:21 00:39:22 i have this million millionaire
00:39:22 00:39:24 lifestyle
00:39:22 00:39:26 no you got to be smart enough with your
00:39:24 00:39:28 money to to look at it and say listen
00:39:26 00:39:30 this has got to last me for the rest of
00:39:28 00:39:31 my life if i continue to make more money
00:39:30 00:39:34 every year great
00:39:31 00:39:35 i can slowly upgrade my lifestyle my
00:39:34 00:39:38 expenses and enjoy more of it
00:39:35 00:39:39 but you do have to factor in the
00:39:38 00:39:42 security and be smart about
00:39:39 00:39:43 the rest of your life because this money
00:39:42 00:39:44 you know you might not
00:39:43 00:39:46 always be making this same amount of
00:39:44 00:39:48 money forever i don't know what could
00:39:46 00:39:49 happen with youtube with amazon with all
00:39:48 00:39:51 these different things
00:39:49 00:39:52 not that i'm expecting any any of it to
00:39:51 00:39:54 go away but you still got to be smart
00:39:52 00:39:56 enough with it and
00:39:54 00:39:57 plan it planned it out for the long time
00:39:56 00:40:00 long term yeah
00:39:57 00:40:01 yeah it's funny in 2014 i had printed
00:40:00 00:40:04 out a check
00:40:01 00:40:06 like this fake check from google images
00:40:04 00:40:08 and i cut it out and i stuck it up on my
00:40:06 00:40:11 wall and i put in a million dollars
00:40:08 00:40:12 tatiana and um that was kind of like
00:40:11 00:40:14 what i was working towards i thought
00:40:12 00:40:16 that if i made a million dollars that
00:40:14 00:40:19 would be like you know i'm set for life
00:40:16 00:40:21 i was kind of deluded about that now i
00:40:19 00:40:23 wish i put an extra zero there extra two
00:40:21 00:40:25 two zeros with inflation as you're
00:40:23 00:40:27 saying but yeah but
00:40:25 00:40:28 also the reality is like a million
00:40:27 00:40:30 dollars every year that goes by with
00:40:28 00:40:33 inflation it becomes worth less and less
00:40:30 00:40:34 right so really 10 like 20 years from
00:40:33 00:40:36 now
00:40:34 00:40:37 a million bucks that's why cash is it's
00:40:36 00:40:39 not really good to sit on a bunch of
00:40:37 00:40:40 cash it's better to invest that
00:40:39 00:40:42 for sure have it appreciate even faster
00:40:40 00:40:44 yeah exactly
00:40:42 00:40:46 yeah i mean i i think i think that wraps
00:40:44 00:40:48 up this i just say one more
00:40:46 00:40:50 before we wrap up i'd say that you you
00:40:48 00:40:51 when you have more money
00:40:50 00:40:53 like i mentioned like you can you know
00:40:51 00:40:55 you build a team of people and you have
00:40:53 00:40:57 more investments and things like that
00:40:55 00:40:59 but i'd say the last thing that i've
00:40:57 00:41:01 notiked has been you still have anxiety
00:40:59 00:41:02 around money you can still have stress
00:41:01 00:41:03 around money you can still have scarcity
00:41:02 00:41:05 around money
00:41:03 00:41:07 that that doesn't always go away in fact
00:41:05 00:41:08 in some cases now you have a bigger
00:41:07 00:41:11 responsibility
00:41:08 00:41:13 for us we have the responsibility of
00:41:11 00:41:14 managing this money investing this money
00:41:13 00:41:16 learning about investing this money
00:41:14 00:41:18 being smart with this money
00:41:16 00:41:20 and that produces a level of pressure on
00:41:18 00:41:21 yourself when you
00:41:20 00:41:23 when you employ people you have an
00:41:21 00:41:25 assistant and for me i've got
00:41:23 00:41:27 you know 15 or so employees or
00:41:25 00:41:28 contractors that depend on me right that
00:41:27 00:41:30 i provide for
00:41:28 00:41:32 to for them their livelihood and that
00:41:30 00:41:35 adds a level of responsibility it can
00:41:32 00:41:37 give some pressure and stress too um you
00:41:35 00:41:38 know even having if you want multiple
00:41:37 00:41:41 houses and
00:41:38 00:41:43 and all those sort of things so that can
00:41:41 00:41:45 also complicate your life and add
00:41:43 00:41:46 different layers of stress there's still
00:41:45 00:41:48 you know great problems to have of
00:41:46 00:41:51 course but that's just one thing
00:41:48 00:41:52 that is important to understand is that
00:41:51 00:41:54 you can't just delude
00:41:52 00:41:55 yourself to think that once i become a
00:41:54 00:41:57 millionaire i'm set all
00:41:55 00:41:59 you know all is good you know some
00:41:57 00:42:00 people they might just retire at that
00:41:59 00:42:02 point i don't know but
00:42:00 00:42:04 i've it's been our experience that
00:42:02 00:42:05 there's a higher level responsibility
00:42:04 00:42:08 that comes up
00:42:05 00:42:09 in your life once you have that and it's
00:42:08 00:42:11 sometimes hard to say no to certain
00:42:09 00:42:12 opportunities because more opportunities
00:42:11 00:42:14 show up in your life
00:42:12 00:42:16 it's hard to say no to that at times too
00:42:14 00:42:18 because they're such easy opportunities
00:42:16 00:42:20 to make more money and that's our
00:42:18 00:42:21 experience too is that once you are in a
00:42:20 00:42:23 certain position
00:42:21 00:42:24 making money becomes a lot easier and
00:42:23 00:42:25 faster because of opportunities that
00:42:24 00:42:27 come up
00:42:25 00:42:29 and that can also create some more
00:42:27 00:42:31 pressure and some stress too so
00:42:29 00:42:33 your mindset the mental well-being your
00:42:31 00:42:34 beliefs is so important
00:42:33 00:42:37 along this journey especially once you
00:42:34 00:42:40 get there to to to navigate the world
00:42:37 00:42:41 of of becoming financially free uh for
00:42:40 00:42:44 me i always thought
00:42:41 00:42:45 my life was gonna be so much easier and
00:42:44 00:42:47 that's not the case my life's way harder
00:42:45 00:42:48 now than it was before i look at some of
00:42:47 00:42:51 my friends
00:42:48 00:42:51 that has just a regular job and they're
00:42:51 00:42:54 like
00:42:51 00:42:55 live in some cases a more better
00:42:54 00:42:57 lifestyle than
00:42:55 00:42:58 myself like they you know get to enjoy
00:42:57 00:43:00 their weekends more they don't have the
00:42:58 00:43:02 same stresses the same anxieties and
00:43:00 00:43:03 thoughts around their investments and
00:43:02 00:43:05 all these different parts of their life
00:43:03 00:43:07 they just get to go to their job they
00:43:05 00:43:09 make their money and they enjoy their
00:43:07 00:43:11 weekends they enjoy their vacations
00:43:09 00:43:13 and and they they don't have that as
00:43:11 00:43:14 much in some cases so
00:43:13 00:43:16 there's different elements to that that
00:43:14 00:43:18 you gotta factor into yeah i would say
00:43:16 00:43:19 that's more like also just being an
00:43:18 00:43:19 entrepreneur and owning your own
00:43:19 00:43:21 business
00:43:19 00:43:23 you know you have like 15 people that
00:43:21 00:43:25 you're responsible for
00:43:23 00:43:26 and you you know that's that's a
00:43:25 00:43:27 responsibility taking
00:43:26 00:43:30 care of them making sure that they're
00:43:27 00:43:32 getting their monthly wage and um
00:43:30 00:43:34 yeah when you worked so hard to make
00:43:32 00:43:36 money now when you have money you're
00:43:34 00:43:36 like oh [ __ ] like i don't want to lose
00:43:36 00:43:38 this
00:43:36 00:43:39 like i got to manage this properly so
00:43:38 00:43:41 that i don't lose it because i worked so
00:43:39 00:43:43 hard to get here so i can see yeah for
00:43:41 00:43:43 sure there's a bit more stress in that
00:43:43 00:43:45 realm
00:43:43 00:43:47 but when you don't have money the stress
00:43:45 00:43:48 is about not having the money so i mean
00:43:47 00:43:50 that's the thing it's like you always
00:43:48 00:43:50 think the grass is greener on the other
00:43:50 00:43:52 side
00:43:50 00:43:53 and that's why it's important to always
00:43:52 00:43:56 realize that yes
00:43:53 00:43:57 money can solve some problems but not
00:43:56 00:43:58 all of them
00:43:57 00:44:00 you can throw your money at some things
00:43:58 00:44:01 and make your life easier and that's
00:44:00 00:44:03 great
00:44:01 00:44:04 but a lot of the core challenges whether
00:44:03 00:44:06 it's
00:44:04 00:44:08 you know mental health challenges
00:44:06 00:44:10 challenges in your relationship
00:44:08 00:44:12 your spirituality like money doesn't
00:44:10 00:44:14 solve those things and those are the
00:44:12 00:44:16 things that are going to
00:44:14 00:44:18 when improved lead to higher levels of
00:44:16 00:44:20 fulfillment and happiness in your life
00:44:18 00:44:21 and so those are things that you can
00:44:20 00:44:23 start working on now
00:44:21 00:44:24 you don't need money to work on those
00:44:23 00:44:26 things you have to just make it a choice
00:44:24 00:44:28 that that's your priority that's what
00:44:26 00:44:30 you want to be focusing on
00:44:28 00:44:31 and yeah i mean this has been a long
00:44:30 00:44:34 video and i just want to encourage you
00:44:31 00:44:35 guys that wherever you are right now
00:44:34 00:44:37 you know you can achieve what you want
00:44:35 00:44:39 to achieve it starts with belief because
00:44:37 00:44:40 listen if you don't believe that you can
00:44:39 00:44:41 achieve
00:44:40 00:44:44 to become a millionaire then you never
00:44:41 00:44:45 will your belief
00:44:44 00:44:47 in whatever it is your goal is if you
00:44:45 00:44:49 have a belief that you can achieve a
00:44:47 00:44:51 goal that is going to directly
00:44:49 00:44:52 affect the amount of action that you
00:44:51 00:44:54 take
00:44:52 00:44:56 and the action you take will affect the
00:44:54 00:44:58 results that you see
00:44:56 00:45:00 and the results that you see will affect
00:44:58 00:45:01 the action that you take next it's a
00:45:00 00:45:03 cycle
00:45:01 00:45:04 and so it's important to start with like
00:45:03 00:45:06 having a strong belief
00:45:04 00:45:08 setting goals for yourself and believing
00:45:06 00:45:09 that you can achieve them and that will
00:45:08 00:45:11 be followed with action
00:45:09 00:45:13 yeah and whether or not you want to be a
00:45:11 00:45:16 millionaire i mean not everybody does
00:45:13 00:45:17 um but i think you know ultimately just
00:45:16 00:45:19 the message that we have too
00:45:17 00:45:21 is you know being a millionaire i mean
00:45:19 00:45:22 the the benefits and the pros outweigh
00:45:21 00:45:24 the cons for sure
00:45:22 00:45:25 um i i don't think either of us could
00:45:24 00:45:27 really go back
00:45:25 00:45:29 um to to what it was before just because
00:45:27 00:45:30 once you've experienced
00:45:29 00:45:32 some of the great benefits that it does
00:45:30 00:45:34 provide i know i can never go back
00:45:32 00:45:36 working for someone you know it's just
00:45:34 00:45:38 not in my dna i know that
00:45:36 00:45:39 i couldn't go back you know worrying and
00:45:38 00:45:40 struggling about money in the ways that
00:45:39 00:45:42 i did before so
00:45:40 00:45:44 the benefits are much greater than the
00:45:42 00:45:44 cons but we want to let you know there
00:45:44 00:45:46 are some
00:45:44 00:45:48 negatives and it's not that those
00:45:46 00:45:48 negatives perhaps will last forever
00:45:48 00:45:51 because i think
00:45:48 00:45:52 that you know once you can you know for
00:45:51 00:45:53 example you get the benefit of maybe
00:45:52 00:45:55 retiring
00:45:53 00:45:57 younger and earlier if you want to and
00:45:55 00:45:58 then in that case you can kind of get
00:45:57 00:46:00 rid of some of those negatives you can
00:45:58 00:46:01 you know let go of your team and all
00:46:00 00:46:04 that just live more of a simple life but
00:46:01 00:46:05 now you've built this nest egg and this
00:46:04 00:46:07 you know investments that can now
00:46:05 00:46:10 provide for you and you have that
00:46:07 00:46:11 that true freedom so overall i think it
00:46:10 00:46:13 opens up many more
00:46:11 00:46:15 opportunities and options of how you
00:46:13 00:46:16 want to live your life and even for us
00:46:15 00:46:17 we've discussed
00:46:16 00:46:19 you know what's what does our lifestyle
00:46:17 00:46:21 want to look like in the next five years
00:46:19 00:46:22 10 years for us when we go into having a
00:46:21 00:46:24 family and kids
00:46:22 00:46:26 we're not going to have the same worries
00:46:24 00:46:27 and stresses that perhaps our parents
00:46:26 00:46:29 did
00:46:27 00:46:31 because they had to work so much to make
00:46:29 00:46:32 the money but then they also had to take
00:46:31 00:46:34 on the responsibility of being a parent
00:46:32 00:46:36 and for us the way we look at it is you
00:46:34 00:46:38 know what we might scale back how much
00:46:36 00:46:39 we work and our businesses and all that
00:46:38 00:46:40 at that point so that we can really
00:46:39 00:46:43 focus on being
00:46:40 00:46:43 much better parents um and maybe at a
00:46:43 00:46:45 certain point
00:46:43 00:46:47 enjoying her life even more so i'd say
00:46:45 00:46:48 the benefits overall are so much greater
00:46:47 00:46:50 when you look at it and maybe not
00:46:48 00:46:51 everyone wants to become a millionaire
00:46:50 00:46:52 but i think everyone
00:46:51 00:46:54 should set their goals to become
00:46:52 00:46:56 financially free you know
00:46:54 00:46:58 there's a difference between being
00:46:56 00:46:59 financially free and being a millionaire
00:46:58 00:47:01 financially free just means that your
00:46:59 00:47:03 expenses are paid for
00:47:01 00:47:05 your rent your groceries your any
00:47:03 00:47:07 monthly expenses that's taken care of
00:47:05 00:47:08 with the passive income that you create
00:47:07 00:47:10 and that's a big difference between
00:47:08 00:47:11 being a millionaire depends on what your
00:47:10 00:47:14 lifestyle is if you
00:47:11 00:47:15 live a high life or a simple life but i
00:47:14 00:47:16 think everyone should set that as their
00:47:15 00:47:19 goal because
00:47:16 00:47:20 that's going to open up like so many
00:47:19 00:47:22 opportunities for you you can live
00:47:20 00:47:24 life on your terms you can decide what
00:47:22 00:47:25 you want to do today if you want to work
00:47:24 00:47:25 or if you want to go to the beach if you
00:47:25 00:47:28 want to
00:47:25 00:47:29 spend time with your kids like that
00:47:28 00:47:30 should be i think everyone's goal and
00:47:29 00:47:32 everyone deserves to have that
00:47:30 00:47:33 experience of life so you can really
00:47:32 00:47:35 live life fully and
00:47:33 00:47:36 on your terms yeah and that's what i
00:47:35 00:47:38 said at the beginning of this is really
00:47:36 00:47:39 that's what changed my life the most was
00:47:38 00:47:40 becoming free
00:47:39 00:47:42 because then i no longer had to work a
00:47:40 00:47:43 job that i hated i no longer had to
00:47:42 00:47:46 worry about my money as much
00:47:43 00:47:47 i could be my own boss work from home
00:47:46 00:47:49 travel all those basic things
00:47:47 00:47:51 everything else beyond that was more
00:47:49 00:47:53 just a cherry on top so
00:47:51 00:47:54 create your freedom and there's so many
00:47:53 00:47:56 opportunities today to do that
00:47:54 00:47:58 if you want to build an online business
