Thinking Of Starting A Business? Watch This

startTime durationTime text
00:00:00 00:00:03 so you're thinking of starting a
00:00:01 00:00:04 business right it's supposed to be all
00:00:03 00:00:06 fun and games and you're in control
00:00:04 00:00:08 nobody can tell you anything well
00:00:06 00:00:09 let me give you my perspective on things
00:00:08 00:00:10 in this video i do want to apologize if
00:00:09 00:00:12 i seem a little bit
00:00:10 00:00:14 tired exhausted or off in this video
00:00:12 00:00:15 right now it's three o'clock i've spent
00:00:14 00:00:17 the last
00:00:15 00:00:19 what about a math 10 hours or so it's
00:00:17 00:00:21 early early morning
00:00:19 00:00:23 doing a ton of probably the most deep
00:00:21 00:00:25 focused work i have done
00:00:23 00:00:26 at this long of a period in quite some
00:00:25 00:00:28 time it's been an interesting morning
00:00:26 00:00:29 i'm just already like mentally all over
00:00:28 00:00:30 the place
00:00:29 00:00:32 three separate on morning calls for
00:00:30 00:00:33 three separate new people that were
00:00:32 00:00:35 bringing on board on the team
00:00:33 00:00:37 making multiple training videos for them
00:00:35 00:00:38 overseeing an ad campaign for a client
00:00:37 00:00:39 that's scaling and the media buyer
00:00:38 00:00:40 wanted a little bit of help so that was
00:00:39 00:00:42 another 30 minutes and just
00:00:40 00:00:44 a lot of very high energy stuff and high
00:00:42 00:00:45 focus where you just got to be present
00:00:44 00:00:46 in the moment so
00:00:45 00:00:48 that's done glad it's done and i'm super
00:00:46 00:00:50 excited to bring you this video so
00:00:48 00:00:51 let me get you all set up back here on
00:00:50 00:00:52 the setup and uh with the mic so it
00:00:51 00:00:54 sounds good
00:00:52 00:00:55 and yeah other than that let's start
00:00:54 00:00:56 toking about there's a lot of pros and
00:00:55 00:00:58 cons and there's three things i want to
00:00:56 00:00:59 cover in this video that i've learned
00:00:58 00:01:01 from the last five years
00:00:59 00:01:03 of it's really been a little bit longer
00:01:01 00:01:04 than that but five years of truly making
00:01:03 00:01:13 money and doing things completely on my
00:01:04 00:01:13 own so let's jump into it
00:01:14 00:01:17 so maybe this sounds better i don't know
00:01:15 00:01:17 i got to get a little pop filter for the
00:01:17 00:01:19 mic
00:01:17 00:01:20 but uh yeah it's been an interesting
00:01:19 00:01:22 thing over the last five years the bulk
00:01:20 00:01:23 of what i've done has been inside of the
00:01:22 00:01:24 e-commerce space that's
00:01:23 00:01:27 kind of where i operate it's been
00:01:24 00:01:27 probably 80 of everything there's been a
00:01:27 00:01:29 spin-off
00:01:27 00:01:31 software company about four years ago
00:01:29 00:01:32 that did okay that's where i invested
00:01:31 00:01:34 probably my first like 25
00:01:32 00:01:36 000 out of you know there was like a
00:01:34 00:01:37 healthy percentage of what i had made
00:01:36 00:01:39 and like had sitting after tax at that
00:01:37 00:01:41 point so that was a fun
00:01:39 00:01:42 test to really learn and invest back
00:01:41 00:01:43 into something that was
00:01:42 00:01:45 kind of similar to what i was doing but
00:01:43 00:01:46 i've tried a lot of different things you
00:01:45 00:01:47 know i've done a bunch in the stok
00:01:46 00:01:49 market since then on a couple million
00:01:47 00:01:50 bucks worth of real estate
00:01:49 00:01:52 started multiple other companies new
00:01:50 00:01:53 brands inside of the e-commerce space
00:01:52 00:01:55 we have our advertising agency with
00:01:53 00:01:56 about 20 team members inside of there
00:01:55 00:01:59 working full-time
00:01:56 00:01:59 which is great so it's it's been a lot
00:01:59 00:02:01 of learning
00:01:59 00:02:02 and a lot of stuff and i never want
00:02:01 00:02:03 anybody to shy away from starting
00:02:02 00:02:05 something
00:02:03 00:02:07 ever like if you feel just down in your
00:02:05 00:02:08 core you you feel a little bit weird
00:02:07 00:02:09 going into work every day you know it's
00:02:08 00:02:11 just not for you
00:02:09 00:02:12 you don't like to work in a specific
00:02:11 00:02:13 location you don't like someone telling
00:02:12 00:02:15 you what to do
00:02:13 00:02:16 i'll tell you this follow that feeling
00:02:15 00:02:17 now that doesn't mean quit your job
00:02:16 00:02:18 today
00:02:17 00:02:19 you got to be logical with it and get
00:02:18 00:02:21 something going and have some money but
00:02:19 00:02:21 it doesn't have to be anything too crazy
00:02:21 00:02:23 but
00:02:21 00:02:24 that feeling it's it's usually correct
00:02:23 00:02:26 so
00:02:24 00:02:27 you know i've actually never worked a
00:02:26 00:02:29 job the thing that i did when i was
00:02:27 00:02:31 super young for money i would mow lawns
00:02:29 00:02:33 and i started making some money online
00:02:31 00:02:35 500 bucks to 2 000 bucks a month
00:02:33 00:02:37 when i was about 15. so that kind of
00:02:35 00:02:38 funded everything was able to fund into
00:02:37 00:02:39 the first couple businesses
00:02:38 00:02:40 which you know they would all flop on
00:02:39 00:02:41 their face one after the other but
00:02:40 00:02:43 eventually
00:02:41 00:02:44 something inside the e-commerce space
00:02:43 00:02:45 clicked and that's where i started
00:02:44 00:02:47 building companies and started having a
00:02:45 00:02:48 lot of fun and really diving deep into
00:02:47 00:02:50 that skill so
00:02:48 00:02:51 there's three things i want to get right
00:02:50 00:02:53 to it make sure to drop a quick like on
00:02:51 00:02:56 this video that's number one i suppose
00:02:53 00:02:58 but number one is getting your mindset
00:02:56 00:02:59 right and this might sound cliche or
00:02:58 00:03:00 general but stik with me here i'm here
00:02:59 00:03:03 giving you just an open
00:03:00 00:03:04 and honest angle of this the mindset is
00:03:03 00:03:06 everything
00:03:04 00:03:08 and here's what i mean by that whatever
00:03:06 00:03:09 you're doing outside of your work your
00:03:08 00:03:11 business whatever you're trying to start
00:03:09 00:03:12 whatever is going on
00:03:11 00:03:14 it relates that that's half right
00:03:12 00:03:16 business work half
00:03:14 00:03:18 your other half of your life the
00:03:16 00:03:19 personal side of things the things that
00:03:18 00:03:20 happen over here
00:03:19 00:03:22 will carry over here and the things that
00:03:20 00:03:23 happen over here will carry back over
00:03:22 00:03:24 here
00:03:23 00:03:27 it's never completely separated as much
00:03:24 00:03:28 as you know myself as a business person
00:03:27 00:03:29 i don't consider myself an entrepreneur
00:03:28 00:03:30 i haven't like created or invented
00:03:29 00:03:32 anything crazy
00:03:30 00:03:33 that's just not my forte at least terms
00:03:32 00:03:35 of right now but
00:03:33 00:03:36 things will mix and it's hard to
00:03:35 00:03:38 separate that emotion but what i'm
00:03:36 00:03:39 toking about is from a habit
00:03:38 00:03:41 perspective
00:03:39 00:03:43 so when i was 15 16 i would go to the
00:03:41 00:03:44 gym i'd be working like
00:03:43 00:03:46 you know late night it's three in the
00:03:44 00:03:47 morning jump in my mom's car go to the
00:03:46 00:03:48 gym and i'm like you just got my license
00:03:47 00:03:49 i'm 16.
00:03:48 00:03:51 i'd be at the gym every day religiously
00:03:49 00:03:53 like two hours i've been the sauna
00:03:51 00:03:55 reading for 30 minutes and working out
00:03:53 00:03:56 dude i was skinny i had no muscle i
00:03:55 00:03:57 didn't know what i was doing it didn't
00:03:56 00:03:59 matter
00:03:57 00:04:00 because it was the act of actually going
00:03:59 00:04:01 there you know i'm taking cold showers
00:04:00 00:04:03 and doing stuff that's just
00:04:01 00:04:06 not fun it hyped me up at the time but
00:04:03 00:04:08 it was like starting to build that habit
00:04:06 00:04:09 and i didn't partikularly want to go and
00:04:08 00:04:10 now truly working out has just become a
00:04:09 00:04:12 habit like i
00:04:10 00:04:14 can't not work out it gets to the point
00:04:12 00:04:16 where working out becomes a reward
00:04:14 00:04:17 like i i won't let myself go to the gym
00:04:16 00:04:19 unless i finish a certain list of things
00:04:17 00:04:20 to do in the morning that's that's my
00:04:19 00:04:21 day every day
00:04:20 00:04:22 and it's something where i need to go to
00:04:21 00:04:23 the gym so you just kind of develop
00:04:22 00:04:25 those habits over time
00:04:23 00:04:26 and when you're building a company from
00:04:25 00:04:27 scratch and you don't have a ton of
00:04:26 00:04:28 startup money you're going to be doing
00:04:27 00:04:30 everything
00:04:28 00:04:32 and those habits are going to build such
00:04:30 00:04:34 amazing work ethic in the beginning
00:04:32 00:04:36 and that's truly invaluable now the last
00:04:34 00:04:36 piece i want to mention on this first
00:04:36 00:04:39 one of
00:04:36 00:04:40 mindset is a lot of people don't discern
00:04:39 00:04:41 the difference between investing in
00:04:40 00:04:43 yourself
00:04:41 00:04:44 and investing in your business a lot of
00:04:43 00:04:46 people and there's even a third step of
00:04:44 00:04:47 just investing in general like buying
00:04:46 00:04:50 real estate buying stoks whatever
00:04:47 00:04:52 but you are different from your business
00:04:50 00:04:53 right even if you're a public figure
00:04:52 00:04:55 whatever you're doing like you are
00:04:53 00:04:57 different from your business
00:04:55 00:04:58 and investing into you your well-being
00:04:57 00:04:59 health good food making sure you get
00:04:58 00:05:00 good sleep
00:04:59 00:05:02 go buy yourself an aura ring or
00:05:00 00:05:03 something that tracks your health like
00:05:02 00:05:06 whatever it is that you're gonna do
00:05:03 00:05:07 investing in you learning knowledge
00:05:06 00:05:08 psychology
00:05:07 00:05:10 you know reading books whatever what
00:05:08 00:05:12 again whatever it is for you
00:05:10 00:05:14 is very different from your business and
00:05:12 00:05:15 for a while 100 of the money that my
00:05:14 00:05:17 business would net i would want to keep
00:05:15 00:05:18 for myself not just to spend like i'd
00:05:17 00:05:20 pile money pile money buy money you know
00:05:18 00:05:21 maybe for the future of just investing
00:05:20 00:05:23 but i was skipping both those steps of
00:05:21 00:05:24 investing in myself and investing back
00:05:23 00:05:25 in the business
00:05:24 00:05:26 right i bought a bunch of courses to
00:05:25 00:05:28 kind of figure out how i was doing what
00:05:26 00:05:30 i was doing inside the ecommerce space
00:05:28 00:05:31 that's what helped get it off the ground
00:05:30 00:05:33 after things started working i didn't
00:05:31 00:05:33 buy a single course for like eight
00:05:33 00:05:35 months
00:05:33 00:05:36 and i didn't buy one until things kind
00:05:35 00:05:37 of plateaued and i was like oh no like
00:05:36 00:05:39 it's about to crash or something i
00:05:37 00:05:40 started like trying to learning it
00:05:39 00:05:41 and that helped to go up to the next
00:05:40 00:05:43 level and i realized oh my i'm so stupid
00:05:41 00:05:44 i should have done this six months ago
00:05:43 00:05:46 and i did the calculation i would have
00:05:44 00:05:48 made like an extra 300 000
00:05:46 00:05:50 had i spent it was like a 900 course or
00:05:48 00:05:51 something teaching some basic facebook
00:05:50 00:05:52 ads
00:05:51 00:05:53 and it was like literally a two-hour
00:05:52 00:05:54 course it's the most basic thing but it
00:05:53 00:05:56 helped me a lot
00:05:54 00:05:58 and it was something that i didn't know
00:05:56 00:05:59 so i paid 900 bucks for that and that's
00:05:58 00:06:01 when i realized
00:05:59 00:06:03 how badly i screwed up and how stupid my
00:06:01 00:06:04 mindset was that was like the
00:06:03 00:06:06 the one big moment for me i was like
00:06:04 00:06:07 literally doing the math i was like well
00:06:06 00:06:09 i just lost three hundred thousand
00:06:07 00:06:11 dollars because i didn't do that sooner
00:06:09 00:06:13 so i can only imagine the people who
00:06:11 00:06:14 just never do it but back to the mindset
00:06:13 00:06:15 piece always invest back in your
00:06:14 00:06:16 business
00:06:15 00:06:18 the best investment is gonna be in
00:06:16 00:06:19 yourself and your business and you know
00:06:18 00:06:21 when there's extra surplus capital then
00:06:19 00:06:22 you can move it into investments
00:06:21 00:06:24 if you've already funded everything you
00:06:22 00:06:24 need to inside your business so that's
00:06:24 00:06:26 point one
00:06:24 00:06:28 getting your mindset right point number
00:06:26 00:06:29 two this ties back into what i said
00:06:28 00:06:30 about kind of the half and half with
00:06:29 00:06:32 business and personal
00:06:30 00:06:34 things fluctuate and it will mess with
00:06:32 00:06:36 your emotions now
00:06:34 00:06:37 for about three years everybody was like
00:06:36 00:06:38 oh you know natural cycles and things
00:06:37 00:06:40 fluctuating i was like
00:06:38 00:06:41 shut up i don't want to listen to you
00:06:40 00:06:43 you got to manifest it and like that's
00:06:41 00:06:45 kind of accurate because i have like
00:06:43 00:06:48 the big bull run with a lot of stuff and
00:06:45 00:06:49 fluctuation of some things i i i
00:06:48 00:06:50 like to think that everything's your
00:06:49 00:06:52 fault you got to take responsibility for
00:06:50 00:06:52 everything yourself
00:06:52 00:06:54 but at the end of the day there are
00:06:52 00:06:56 things that are a little bit out of your
00:06:54 00:06:58 control and what i mean by that
00:06:56 00:07:00 when i first went to go travel overseas
00:06:58 00:07:00 day one i already booked a three-month
00:07:00 00:07:02 trip
00:07:00 00:07:04 like eight different countries southeast
00:07:02 00:07:06 asia france europe amsterdam croatia
00:07:04 00:07:07 russia prague like all this crazy stuff
00:07:06 00:07:09 right
00:07:07 00:07:11 day one i went to china and as soon as i
00:07:09 00:07:13 got from china to bali and
00:07:11 00:07:15 literally the within 30 seconds of
00:07:13 00:07:17 opening my laptop in bali
00:07:15 00:07:19 logging out of the wi-fi facebook took
00:07:17 00:07:22 down my entire profile
00:07:19 00:07:22 not the ad account profile everything i
00:07:22 00:07:24 was running which was
00:07:22 00:07:25 the sole way i was making money at the
00:07:24 00:07:26 time about fifty thousand dollars a
00:07:25 00:07:28 month
00:07:26 00:07:29 uh gone so like day one of this what's
00:07:28 00:07:32 supposed to be a fun
00:07:29 00:07:34 work vacation mix i couldn't do anything
00:07:32 00:07:36 i never saw that one coming so things
00:07:34 00:07:37 fluctuate and i'll tell you for about 30
00:07:36 00:07:39 days that brought down the income pretty
00:07:37 00:07:41 heavily it was really scary
00:07:39 00:07:42 so i the first month of those travels i
00:07:41 00:07:44 was in bali
00:07:42 00:07:45 and i didn't do anything did not go to
00:07:44 00:07:46 one waterfall my friends would go to the
00:07:45 00:07:46 middle of the island i didn't do
00:07:46 00:07:48 anything
00:07:46 00:07:50 they rented boats went to an island like
00:07:48 00:07:51 i didn't do jack like
00:07:50 00:07:52 literally nothing i was just trying to
00:07:51 00:07:54 figure out how to solve the problem i
00:07:52 00:07:55 was fighting that fire figuring out that
00:07:54 00:07:57 problem so
00:07:55 00:07:58 things will fluctuate and that's natural
00:07:57 00:07:59 however there are things inside of there
00:07:58 00:08:01 you can control
00:07:59 00:08:03 over time you can scale out horizontally
00:08:01 00:08:04 you can have multiple flows
00:08:03 00:08:06 that's what i realized i should have
00:08:04 00:08:07 multiple ad accounts multiple profiles i
00:08:06 00:08:08 should have
00:08:07 00:08:10 learned and understood how to have
00:08:08 00:08:11 servers and how to do different things
00:08:10 00:08:13 and how to you know remote access into
00:08:11 00:08:15 other computers i also should have had
00:08:13 00:08:16 you know other stores in terms of the
00:08:15 00:08:18 e-commerce space i should have other
00:08:16 00:08:18 investments but i was also pretty new to
00:08:18 00:08:20 it so
00:08:18 00:08:21 to a degree i was just very focused on
00:08:20 00:08:22 my one vertikal and the thing that was
00:08:21 00:08:24 working but
00:08:22 00:08:26 things will fluctuate and you just can't
00:08:24 00:08:28 let that get to your head so one thing
00:08:26 00:08:29 i've done just to kind of insert a
00:08:28 00:08:31 little personal thing here
00:08:29 00:08:33 is i have cash reserves both both in my
00:08:31 00:08:34 business and a personal bank
00:08:33 00:08:36 i never used to want to do this because
00:08:34 00:08:38 i didn't you know cash sitting is
00:08:36 00:08:39 useless it's not doing anything
00:08:38 00:08:42 but i did find that there's a fine line
00:08:39 00:08:44 between having more of a mental
00:08:42 00:08:46 peace of mind like a cash reserve that
00:08:44 00:08:46 really just gives you a little bit of
00:08:46 00:08:48 peace of mind
00:08:46 00:08:49 because there's runway so having you
00:08:48 00:08:51 know three to six months of personal
00:08:49 00:08:53 expenses sitting there
00:08:51 00:08:55 um for me it's more and then same with
00:08:53 00:08:57 the business is just
00:08:55 00:08:58 it's a lot of clarity peace of mind that
00:08:57 00:08:59 just i don't want to say it helps me
00:08:58 00:09:00 sleep better at night
00:08:59 00:09:02 but it's just good to have it there and
00:09:00 00:09:03 so everybody's kind of got their pain
00:09:02 00:09:05 threshold their risk threshold i'm a
00:09:03 00:09:07 very risk-averse person that's why i
00:09:05 00:09:08 chose to work for myself because i can
00:09:07 00:09:10 control more things
00:09:08 00:09:12 so that was just kind of my approach on
00:09:10 00:09:13 that so i mean i have my little list
00:09:12 00:09:14 here i just want to make sure i hit on
00:09:13 00:09:16 every point on here because that is
00:09:14 00:09:17 number two yeah that's everything for
00:09:16 00:09:19 fluctuation you want to build a system
00:09:17 00:09:20 that can't really easily be disrupted
00:09:19 00:09:22 like nowadays
00:09:20 00:09:24 there's no way you could touch all of my
00:09:22 00:09:26 stuff like there's zero percent chance
00:09:24 00:09:27 that even if i die everything will go to
00:09:26 00:09:30 zero it literally can't happen
00:09:27 00:09:31 because it's too far spread out and now
00:09:30 00:09:32 it's in multiple industries from
00:09:31 00:09:34 from stoks there's a little bit of
00:09:32 00:09:35 crypto which is stupid but all the
00:09:34 00:09:38 different real estate properties managed
00:09:35 00:09:39 completely on autopilot like i could die
00:09:38 00:09:40 and they probably wouldn't even know
00:09:39 00:09:41 this for three months like my property
00:09:40 00:09:42 management would like yeah maybe they
00:09:41 00:09:44 shoot me a text and
00:09:42 00:09:45 get no answer but it would probably take
00:09:44 00:09:46 him at least three months to notike so
00:09:45 00:09:47 that video
00:09:46 00:09:49 that business would just be running like
00:09:47 00:09:50 all these other things would just be so
00:09:49 00:09:50 passive you know the companies and stuff
00:09:50 00:09:52 might
00:09:50 00:09:54 have certain problems but like it would
00:09:52 00:09:55 still be able to operate so that
00:09:54 00:09:57 builds right in and leads me into the
00:09:55 00:10:00 third point which is building
00:09:57 00:10:02 a system this is something i've been a
00:10:00 00:10:02 little bit open with about how i did not
00:10:02 00:10:04 do this
00:10:02 00:10:06 there's two approaches that i view when
00:10:04 00:10:08 you're starting a business
00:10:06 00:10:09 number one the where every hat guy that
00:10:08 00:10:10 was me
00:10:09 00:10:12 that mean i don't even know i do have a
00:10:10 00:10:14 hat here actually i stack on every hat
00:10:12 00:10:16 right one two three four five and i put
00:10:14 00:10:18 them all on
00:10:16 00:10:19 and uh i was the person doing everything
00:10:18 00:10:22 oh i'm starting a new e-commerce store
00:10:19 00:10:23 okay it was my idea i found the product
00:10:22 00:10:25 i built the store
00:10:23 00:10:26 i chose the name i bought the domain i
00:10:25 00:10:28 made the logo
00:10:26 00:10:30 i ordered the product shot the content
00:10:28 00:10:31 edited the content uploaded the content
00:10:30 00:10:33 researched the facebook ads created the
00:10:31 00:10:34 facebook ads launched them manage them
00:10:33 00:10:36 analyze them scale them
00:10:34 00:10:38 manage all the business cash flow in the
00:10:36 00:10:39 business eventually hired a support
00:10:38 00:10:40 virtual assistant person that i was
00:10:39 00:10:43 managing way too
00:10:40 00:10:44 personally you get the ideas literally a
00:10:43 00:10:46 list of 20 plus things
00:10:44 00:10:47 and that's in one of the companies so it
00:10:46 00:10:50 was like
00:10:47 00:10:50 so much stuff and then the route two
00:10:50 00:10:52 which
00:10:50 00:10:54 helps you scale further faster in my
00:10:52 00:10:57 opinion but makes it harder to start
00:10:54 00:10:58 is hiring or outsourcing and that's
00:10:57 00:10:59 where you have kind of an idea for a
00:10:58 00:11:00 company and you just bring other people
00:10:59 00:11:02 on to do it
00:11:00 00:11:04 that was not available to me for two
00:11:02 00:11:06 reasons i didn't know those people
00:11:04 00:11:08 and i didn't have the capital that just
00:11:06 00:11:09 takes more money so
00:11:08 00:11:11 that's why now inside of our advertising
00:11:09 00:11:13 agency we have a program where
00:11:11 00:11:15 we actually don't make any money for our
00:11:13 00:11:15 new clients who start brand new shopify
00:11:15 00:11:17 stores
00:11:15 00:11:18 we don't make any money as an agency
00:11:17 00:11:20 until they make money
00:11:18 00:11:21 so inside of our agency we manage about
00:11:20 00:11:22 30 to 50 million dollars a year with the
00:11:21 00:11:23 sales for clients we run all their
00:11:22 00:11:25 marketing and automate a few other
00:11:23 00:11:26 things connect them with suppliers and
00:11:25 00:11:27 ad account people and
00:11:26 00:11:28 making sure that everything's good with
00:11:27 00:11:30 their payment processor and we can
00:11:28 00:11:32 recommend them brokers for that as well
00:11:30 00:11:33 but what we do bulk of our clients we're
00:11:32 00:11:34 just scaling running ads chugging along
00:11:33 00:11:35 and doing
00:11:34 00:11:37 500 000 a month for this client a
00:11:35 00:11:39 million a month for them it's great
00:11:37 00:11:40 but there's a lot of people a lot of
00:11:39 00:11:41 people on the front end who reach out
00:11:40 00:11:42 hey i've
00:11:41 00:11:45 tried starting a few stores it just
00:11:42 00:11:46 hasn't worked and what we'll do is we
00:11:45 00:11:47 just charge them a super small base
00:11:46 00:11:48 train it's usually a thousand twelve
00:11:47 00:11:49 hundred thirteen hundred bucks depending
00:11:48 00:11:50 on exactly what we're doing
00:11:49 00:11:52 and that goes right to our team that
00:11:50 00:11:54 just covers most of the team's cost we
00:11:52 00:11:55 actually still operated a slight loss
00:11:54 00:11:56 and that was something i wanted to do
00:11:55 00:11:57 inside of my company unlike every
00:11:56 00:11:59 competitor
00:11:57 00:12:00 and that's just again one company but we
00:11:59 00:12:00 do pretty well it's one of the bigger
00:12:00 00:12:02 companies
00:12:00 00:12:04 and then as people scale and as we
00:12:02 00:12:05 actually find a winning product for them
00:12:04 00:12:06 and scale it which is what we do really
00:12:05 00:12:07 well
00:12:06 00:12:10 we take a percentage of the profits so
00:12:07 00:12:10 that's how we as an agency make a lot of
00:12:10 00:12:12 money
00:12:10 00:12:14 and building a system like that there
00:12:12 00:12:15 was no system like that when i was first
00:12:14 00:12:16 getting started otherwise i would have
00:12:15 00:12:19 used it like that
00:12:16 00:12:20 but now being able to build the systems
00:12:19 00:12:22 to host
00:12:20 00:12:23 the system if that makes sense so i've
00:12:22 00:12:24 toked about it a little bit recently
00:12:23 00:12:26 once on a
00:12:24 00:12:28 youtube live stream not too long ago and
00:12:26 00:12:30 here and there but i don't have a ton of
00:12:28 00:12:31 work to do anymore now i filled the time
00:12:30 00:12:32 with research and you know bigger
00:12:31 00:12:34 picture stuff and
00:12:32 00:12:36 but recently like throughout the last
00:12:34 00:12:38 six months it's been a lot less because
00:12:36 00:12:39 my time my additional time has been
00:12:38 00:12:41 going to hiring more people which just
00:12:39 00:12:43 further removes my time every time
00:12:41 00:12:45 i'm having a lot of fun doing that so
00:12:43 00:12:46 i'm working less it's more focused work
00:12:45 00:12:49 but uh you know some days like today is
00:12:46 00:12:52 like a nice you know 6 a.m to 3 p.m
00:12:49 00:12:53 insane insane dialed in and then the gym
00:12:52 00:12:54 for an hour and a half so like that's
00:12:53 00:12:56 been my day today
00:12:54 00:12:57 and i'm just mentally gone if you can't
00:12:56 00:12:58 already tell but those were three great
00:12:57 00:12:59 points
00:12:58 00:13:00 that i wanted to bring up and that
00:12:59 00:13:01 building a system thing is great because
00:13:00 00:13:03 it allows you to scale a little bit
00:13:01 00:13:04 faster if you can get the ball rolling
00:13:03 00:13:06 and it's hard i'll tell you some
00:13:04 00:13:07 experience it's hard to go from that
00:13:06 00:13:09 person who's wearing every hat
00:13:07 00:13:10 to to just letting other people handle
00:13:09 00:13:11 things it's really hard to kind of let
00:13:10 00:13:12 go
00:13:11 00:13:14 so yeah those are three things if you're
00:13:12 00:13:15 thinking about starting a business
00:13:14 00:13:17 understand those three
00:13:15 00:13:18 know those three those are crapload more
00:13:17 00:13:20 i could tok about this for 10 hours but
00:13:18 00:13:21 it's just a bunch of different things
00:13:20 00:13:23 you'll learn along the way and i think
00:13:21 00:13:24 these are applicable to any business
00:13:23 00:13:26 whether you're starting an e-commerce
00:13:24 00:13:27 business software company a real estate
00:13:26 00:13:28 company to raise money whatever you're
00:13:27 00:13:29 doing
00:13:28 00:13:31 that's awesome and i'd love to hear
00:13:29 00:13:32 about it like seriously let me know what
00:13:31 00:13:33 it is you're trying to do i like
00:13:32 00:13:35 there's so many crazy ideas you know
00:13:33 00:13:36 people starting x-rated websites like
00:13:35 00:13:38 some people making a ton of money i know
00:13:36 00:13:40 a guy who kills it with that
00:13:38 00:13:41 but uh like just some crazy stuff going
00:13:40 00:13:42 on like i love to hear what people are
00:13:41 00:13:44 doing because
00:13:42 00:13:45 there's truly like you can do almost
00:13:44 00:13:47 anything and make money
00:13:45 00:13:49 like like anything imagine like there's
00:13:47 00:13:50 a person who invented a freaking paper
00:13:49 00:13:51 clip
00:13:50 00:13:54 and just made a ton of money these
00:13:51 00:13:55 blinds on the wall art microphones
00:13:54 00:13:57 you just do anything you can make these
00:13:55 00:13:58 like whatever lamp or whatever ceiling
00:13:57 00:13:59 light things
00:13:58 00:14:01 i mean you can do anything so it's
00:13:59 00:14:02 really cool i love hearing about it let
00:14:01 00:14:03 me know what you're doing i'll see if i
00:14:02 00:14:05 could be of any assistance in the
00:14:03 00:14:06 comment sections make more videos
00:14:05 00:14:07 toking about it maybe we'll do another
00:14:06 00:14:08 little live stream q
