00:01:13 00:01:18 have 500 buyers in your e-commerce
00:01:16 00:01:21 business and and you're currently really
00:01:18 00:01:22 stuck do it getting to that first 500
00:01:21 00:01:24 buyers look-alike audiences aren't
00:01:22 00:01:26 something you want to get into just yet
00:01:24 00:01:28 right look like audiences are more so
00:01:26 00:01:30 for scaling your drop shipping business
00:01:28 00:01:32 past that five hundred thousand two
00:01:30 00:01:34 thousand ten thousand hundred thousand
00:01:32 00:01:36 buyer mark right so gonna allow you to
00:01:34 00:01:39 really leverage the Facebook a database
00:01:36 00:01:41 of with using your buyer data and allow
00:01:39 00:01:44 Facebook to kind of go out there and see
00:01:41 00:01:46 hey who is your perfect buyer and
00:01:44 00:01:48 comparing your buyers versus the rest of
00:01:46 00:01:51 the Facebook world right and this is one
00:01:48 00:01:54 of the most powerful ways to scale your
00:01:51 00:01:56 advertise or your e-commerce business is
00:01:54 00:01:58 using a little audiences inside of your
00:01:56 00:02:00 Facebook Ads manager okay very very
00:01:58 00:02:01 powerful tool now to quickly show you
00:02:00 00:02:04 guys this little quick little
00:02:01 00:02:07 infographic I found here um you could
00:02:04 00:02:08 see write your best customers write your
00:02:07 00:02:10 best customers your database right
00:02:08 00:02:11 whatever that is that could be your
00:02:10 00:02:13 email list that could be
00:02:11 00:02:14 your pixel data that could be a list of
00:02:13 00:02:16 all your buyers it could be a list of
00:02:14 00:02:18 all your non buyers it could be all
00:02:16 00:02:20 those anything just about anything
00:02:18 00:02:21 nowadays with Facebook gives you a lot
00:02:20 00:02:24 of opportunity to be able to feed it
00:02:21 00:02:26 information about something about your
00:02:24 00:02:29 buyers or non buyers or whatever and
00:02:26 00:02:31 then they will take that list they will
00:02:29 00:02:33 take that database you gave it and it
00:02:31 00:02:36 will go out on Facebook too using the
00:02:33 00:02:38 Facebook algorithm and see hey where
00:02:36 00:02:40 what commonalities do these people have
00:02:38 00:02:43 that they are they you just gave me and
00:02:40 00:02:46 let me go find people that are just like
00:02:43 00:02:48 this that are currently on Facebook okay
00:02:46 00:02:50 now why is this powerful well think
00:02:48 00:02:53 about it guys say you have a list or a
00:02:50 00:02:56 pixel fires of a thousand buyers right
00:02:53 00:02:58 well Facebook can take that information
00:02:56 00:03:00 right Facebook can take that thousand
00:02:58 00:03:01 buyers and then go compare all the
00:03:00 00:03:03 commonalities basically using the
00:03:01 00:03:04 algorithm without all the smartest
00:03:03 00:03:06 people in the world came up with it
00:03:04 00:03:08 could take all the information on those
00:03:06 00:03:09 thousand buyers find commonalities and
00:03:08 00:03:12 then go find people that match those
00:03:09 00:03:14 people as closely as possible and then
00:03:12 00:03:18 you can serve ads to those people right
00:03:14 00:03:20 extremely extremely powerful okay now
00:03:18 00:03:23 again the Facebook is very data-driven
00:03:20 00:03:25 it is extremely data-driven and you
00:03:23 00:03:27 can't just dive into something like this
00:03:25 00:03:29 when you have 10 or 50 or even 100
00:03:27 00:03:30 buyers okay now that's not to say you
00:03:29 00:03:32 can't test it when you start getting to
00:03:30 00:03:34 a hundred buyers but I really wait until
00:03:32 00:03:36 you at least have 500 buyers before you
00:03:34 00:03:38 start going into look-alike audiences
00:03:36 00:03:40 now the reason look-alike audiences are
00:03:38 00:03:42 cool is because there is so many
00:03:40 00:03:44 different kinds of look-alike audiences
00:03:42 00:03:46 out there okay there's not just
00:03:44 00:03:47 look-alike audiences where it's so
00:03:46 00:03:49 cut-and-dry where it's like hey you know
00:03:47 00:03:51 what let me just load my buyers and now
00:03:49 00:03:52 don't get me wrong your buyers are
00:03:51 00:03:54 definitely your most powerful look-alike
00:03:52 00:03:57 audience in my opinion that's your best
00:03:54 00:03:59 that's your best chance of success is
00:03:57 00:04:00 using creating getting facebook create
00:03:59 00:04:02 look like audiences for people that
00:04:00 00:04:04 already gave you money but there's so
00:04:02 00:04:06 many different audiences and that's how
00:04:04 00:04:09 I look like audiences are important to
00:04:06 00:04:10 understand and test lots of different
00:04:09 00:04:12 audiences in there because you don't
00:04:10 00:04:14 know which ones gonna be that kind of
00:04:12 00:04:16 Golden Nugget audience that really
00:04:14 00:04:19 healed you a ton of buyers out of right
00:04:16 00:04:22 and look-alike audiences really do allow
00:04:19 00:04:23 you to scale quicker because you get to
00:04:22 00:04:24 unlock different kinds of audiences that
00:04:23 00:04:25 you wouldn't
00:04:24 00:04:27 otherwise been able to necessarily
00:04:25 00:04:29 target when you're really stuck in that
00:04:27 00:04:32 interest based targeting level of your
00:04:29 00:04:33 of your of your of your of your business

00:04:52 00:04:56 create a look-alike audience from people
00:04:54 00:04:57 that add it to car and create a local
00:04:56 00:04:59 like audience for people that view to
00:04:57 00:05:01 buy page right so these are the most
00:04:59 00:05:03 easiest ones if you're not already using
00:05:01 00:05:05 using all right so you their buyers
00:05:03 00:05:07 obviously buyers of a product over the
00:05:05 00:05:09 past 180 days 100 percent one of the
00:05:07 00:05:10 better ones to do and you can break this
00:05:09 00:05:12 up how you want to I kind of dive into
00:05:10 00:05:13 this more inside our e-commerce Empire
00:05:12 00:05:14 Academy how I like to structure my
00:05:13 00:05:16 look-alike audience is that's something
00:05:14 00:05:17 that interests you you can attend a free

00:05:39 00:05:43 have your page use now the way I like to
00:05:41 00:05:45 think about this is some of you might be
00:05:43 00:05:47 confused by like you have to understand
00:05:45 00:05:48 that a look-alike audience is it
00:05:47 00:05:51 different than like a custom audience a
00:05:48 00:05:53 custom audience is more so like a
00:05:51 00:05:54 retargeting audience that you can go out
00:05:53 00:05:57 there so let's say you want to retarget
00:05:54 00:05:59 all people that you know viewed your
00:05:57 00:06:01 page or added a product to cart but then
00:05:59 00:06:03 they left an in and by right you put
00:06:01 00:06:04 those people in a bucket called a custom
00:06:03 00:06:06 audience and you can retarget them with
00:06:04 00:06:08 ads right that's retargeting okay
00:06:06 00:06:11 however look like it's taking that
00:06:08 00:06:12 audience that added to cart but didn't
00:06:11 00:06:14 buy and creating a look-alike audience
00:06:12 00:06:15 now some of you might be thinking well
00:06:14 00:06:17 Pete like I don't want those people I
00:06:15 00:06:18 don't want to look like I don't want to
00:06:17 00:06:19 have a whole bunch of look-alike
00:06:18 00:06:21 audiences of people that you know add it
00:06:19 00:06:24 to cart and didn't buy but the thing is
00:06:21 00:06:26 guys a lot of times well 99 9 out of 10
00:06:24 00:06:28 times a lot of people don't buy from you
00:06:26 00:06:29 the first time around ok 9 out of 10
00:06:28 00:06:31 people aren't going to impulse buy from
00:06:29 00:06:32 you you need to indoctrinate them so
00:06:31 00:06:34 those people that did add to cart are
00:06:32 00:06:37 still very very qualified leads to
00:06:34 00:06:38 create look-alike audiences off of okay
00:06:37 00:06:40 now the next one
00:06:38 00:06:42 Paige right people that just landed on
00:06:40 00:06:44 let's say your opt-in page your homepage
00:06:42 00:06:46 of your of your of your your your
00:06:44 00:06:48 Shopify store your dropship you store
00:06:46 00:06:50 whatever you're doing O'Connor's all
00:06:48 00:06:51 right they hit that page that that page
00:06:50 00:06:54 view pixel fires right there's also very
00:06:51 00:06:55 powerful audience to create right people
00:06:54 00:06:57 that are most like people that already
00:06:55 00:06:59 in Bude your pages okay so these are
00:06:57 00:07:00 three most obvious ones if you're just
00:06:59 00:07:01 getting started these are usually the
00:07:00 00:07:03 three ones that I that I recommend and
00:07:01 00:07:05 you could break these up a little bit
00:07:03 00:07:06 more granularly like I like to do but we
00:07:05 00:07:08 don't have enough time to necessarily go
00:07:06 00:07:10 into all of that right now
00:07:08 00:07:12 okay now the one I want you guys to test
00:07:10 00:07:15 that is really really powerful it's 25%
00:07:12 00:07:18 video viewers over the past 60 days not
00:07:15 00:07:20 only is this a great retargeting a
00:07:18 00:07:23 custom audience but this is also a
00:07:20 00:07:25 fantastik audience to do a custom to do
00:07:23 00:07:27 a look-alike audience off of okay so why
00:07:25 00:07:30 is this one powerful well a lot of
00:07:27 00:07:32 successful dropshipping ads ecommerce
00:07:30 00:07:34 ads are video based not all of them but
00:07:32 00:07:36 a lot of successful ones are video video
00:07:34 00:07:39 ads and why it's because you can usually
00:07:36 00:07:41 you know pull on a lot of the emotional
00:07:39 00:07:43 benefits of your product you have a lot
00:07:41 00:07:45 more time you have real estate you have
00:07:43 00:07:47 people investing their time with you now
00:07:45 00:07:49 depending on the length of your your
00:07:47 00:07:50 video usually I don't recommend
00:07:49 00:07:52 definitely don't go over like two
00:07:50 00:07:54 minutes unless you're absolutely half do
00:07:52 00:07:55 usually a minute is is more than enough
00:07:54 00:07:59 so that's alright where I'm getting that
00:07:55 00:08:01 25% from if you are you know an hour
00:07:59 00:08:03 long video watching 25% of that off of
00:08:01 00:08:04 Facebook ad is going to be a little bit
00:08:03 00:08:06 tougher to create so if you're if you
00:08:04 00:08:08 have something very niche like that very
00:08:06 00:08:10 specific video ad I would more so go
00:08:08 00:08:13 after let's say you know one-minute
00:08:10 00:08:15 video viewers and and testing that one
00:08:13 00:08:17 out because that might just be a little
00:08:15 00:08:19 too too long but those of you that are
00:08:17 00:08:21 currently drop shipping you know most do
00:08:19 00:08:23 Shopify WooCommerce click funnels
00:08:21 00:08:24 whatever a lot of you are just using
00:08:23 00:08:26 shortener video ads hitting on the
00:08:24 00:08:27 emotional benefits and stuff and a lot
00:08:26 00:08:29 of you are getting a good amount of
00:08:27 00:08:31 viewers on those videos on a daily basis
00:08:29 00:08:32 but you're not really doing anything
00:08:31 00:08:34 with them right so you want to create a
00:08:32 00:08:37 custom audience that's gonna be 25%
00:08:34 00:08:39 video viewers right of that partikular
00:08:37 00:08:41 video or of all your video for that
00:08:39 00:08:42 specific product totally depends on how
00:08:41 00:08:43 you want to set this up I don't know how
00:08:42 00:08:46 your business looks like on the inside
00:08:43 00:08:48 okay but if it's one product you can do
00:08:46 00:08:49 25% video viewers for all videos if you
00:08:48 00:08:51 just have one that's just crushing it
00:08:49 00:08:53 for you just deal for that one
00:08:51 00:08:54 again this is why I look like audiences
00:08:53 00:08:56 are cool you could set up so many
00:08:54 00:08:58 different custom audiences create a
00:08:56 00:08:59 look-alike off of them and one one might
00:08:58 00:09:01 be performing I'll perform the other
00:08:59 00:09:02 right that's why there's so many
00:09:01 00:09:05 different kinds of audiences to test
00:09:02 00:09:07 inside of look-alike audiences right so
00:09:05 00:09:09 this one you could do over I like to do
00:09:07 00:09:12 over a 60-day period and the reason I do
00:09:09 00:09:14 this is because I use this I like to use
00:09:12 00:09:17 this as a retargeting ad as well over a
00:09:14 00:09:19 60-day period you can retarget people me
00:09:17 00:09:20 personally that's just my personal
00:09:19 00:09:22 preference you can make it 30 days if
00:09:20 00:09:23 you want to but the reason I'm really
00:09:22 00:09:25 saying to do 60 days is because you want
00:09:23 00:09:27 some traffic here you don't want it
00:09:25 00:09:29 there not to be like enough traffic on
00:09:27 00:09:30 that video viewer right so you don't
00:09:29 00:09:32 want like a you don't leave custom on
00:09:30 00:09:34 it's like that small where you know your
00:09:32 00:09:36 look-alike you know is it's just not
00:09:34 00:09:37 that you know accurate so to speak so
00:09:36 00:09:38 the more video viewers you get the
00:09:37 00:09:40 better off they're gonna be so you can
00:09:38 00:09:42 do 60 days you can do 90 days from - 180
00:09:40 00:09:44 days if you absolutely have to depends
00:09:42 00:09:45 on how long you've also been in business
00:09:44 00:09:47 and how long you've been running those
00:09:45 00:09:48 ads so this is a good again great one to
00:09:47 00:09:51 start testing out for your retargeting
00:09:48 00:09:53 ads as well as for your look-alikes the
00:09:51 00:09:55 next one is page engages over 180 days
00:09:53 00:09:56 now these are may or may not be some
00:09:55 00:09:58 people that bought from you and then
00:09:56 00:09:59 liked your page or liked your page and
00:09:58 00:10:01 are just liking the content that you're
00:09:59 00:10:03 putting out but people that are engaging
00:10:01 00:10:05 with your page are very very powerful
00:10:03 00:10:07 right not only for retargeting you can
00:10:05 00:10:10 retarget those people to bring them into
00:10:07 00:10:12 your funnel right or you can create a
00:10:10 00:10:14 look-alike off of them right create off
00:10:12 00:10:17 of people that engaged with your page
00:10:14 00:10:18 over the past 180 days and create a
00:10:17 00:10:21 look-alike off of them and serve those
00:10:18 00:10:22 people ads now to give you guys a little
00:10:21 00:10:24 bit of a bonus here right is it okay if
00:10:22 00:10:27 I over deliver for you guys or I mean
00:10:24 00:10:28 yes down below if it if it is you can
00:10:27 00:10:30 also do the same exact kind of audience
00:10:28 00:10:34 here custom audience for page followers
00:10:30 00:10:36 if you have at least 6 6 or 7,000 right
00:10:34 00:10:38 it wouldn't really make sense for if
00:10:36 00:10:41 it's under like you know at least five I
00:10:38 00:10:42 would say a very bare minimum 5,000
00:10:41 00:10:44 likes on your page or page followers
00:10:42 00:10:46 that you can create a you know a page
00:10:44 00:10:48 follower a custom audience that you can
00:10:46 00:10:50 every target - and then you can also
00:10:48 00:10:51 create a look-alike audience for them as
00:10:50 00:10:53 well for page followers but again for
00:10:51 00:10:55 the page filer one you want to make sure
00:10:53 00:10:57 that you have a good amount of data on
00:10:55 00:11:00 there otherwise it's not going to be as
00:10:57 00:11:02 powerful and again Facebook is extremely
00:11:00 00:11:04 data-driven it
00:11:02 00:11:06 to succeed but you have to give it more
00:11:04 00:11:08 data right there the more data you give
00:11:06 00:11:10 Facebook the better off you're going to
00:11:08 00:11:12 be okay the more data you give Facebook
00:11:10 00:11:14 about your perfect customers your target
00:11:12 00:11:15 market the better they're gonna be able
00:11:14 00:11:17 to create these look-alike audiences for
00:11:15 00:11:19 you and actually help you make more
00:11:17 00:11:20 money okay so don't try and rush into
00:11:19 00:11:22 things that you're not ready for yet
00:11:20 00:11:23 okay I just understand that there's a
00:11:22 00:11:24 progression here especially when you're
00:11:23 00:11:26 running you're running your own Facebook
00:11:24 00:11:29 ads okay now the last one I want to hit
00:11:26 00:11:31 on is 25% time spent on site this is a
00:11:29 00:11:33 very different kind of custom audience
00:11:31 00:11:35 that you can create where you're not
00:11:33 00:11:37 necessarily selecting the URL well you
00:11:35 00:11:40 are something URL but you're selecting
00:11:37 00:11:41 based on time spent on your site okay
00:11:40 00:11:44 this is a very powerful one that not a
00:11:41 00:11:48 lot of people are using right now so try
00:11:44 00:11:49 it out it's 25% time spent on site this
00:11:48 00:11:51 one I don't really do any sort of
00:11:49 00:11:53 retargeting with but this is a great one
00:11:51 00:11:56 to do for look-alikes again somebody
00:11:53 00:11:57 spent a good amount of time on your site
00:11:56 00:12:00 okay
00:11:57 00:12:01 so those people are extremely warmed up
00:12:00 00:12:03 okay those people are extremely warmed
00:12:01 00:12:05 up and then being able to create a
00:12:03 00:12:07 look-alike audience off of those people
00:12:05 00:12:09 is extremely extremely powerful if you
00:12:07 00:12:11 do plan to use any of these look-alike
00:12:09 00:12:12 audiences or any of these custom
00:12:11 00:12:14 audiences in your retargeting campaigns
00:12:12 00:12:16 I would absolutely love to hear from you
