00:01:29 00:01:33 very low cost which are really really
00:01:31 00:01:34 important especially during these times
00:01:33 00:01:35 where maybe you don't have thousands of
00:01:34 00:01:38 dollars to invest
00:01:35 00:01:38 into a new business opportunity right
00:01:38 00:01:41 however with
00:01:38 00:01:43 drop shipping and e-commerce usually you
00:01:41 00:01:45 don't need a lot of money to get started
00:01:43 00:01:46 and you also don't need to risk a lot on
00:01:45 00:01:47 your behalf meaning you don't have to
00:01:46 00:01:49 necessarily risk
00:01:47 00:01:50 a whole bunch of money or risk a whole

00:04:08 00:04:12 it's a low-risk low-cost way to get
00:04:10 00:04:14 started before you go and source and
00:04:12 00:04:16 brand your own inventory which is the
00:04:14 00:04:17 next step with drop shipping right
00:04:16 00:04:19 so again the goal with your doing
00:04:17 00:04:21 aliexpress specifically
00:04:19 00:04:23 is to test out your product make sure
00:04:21 00:04:24 you can actually sell it in a low risk
00:04:23 00:04:26 low cost way
00:04:24 00:04:28 and then you can go and buy bulk which

00:04:29 00:04:31 right it does take a little bit of

00:04:31 00:04:35 however that capital usually you're
00:04:34 00:04:37 making a profit on
00:04:35 00:04:39 because you've already validated that
00:04:37 00:04:40 you can sell the product right
00:04:39 00:04:42 this is what i stress so much about

00:04:42 00:04:46 test first low risk low cost then buy
00:04:45 00:04:48 inventory in bulk okay
00:04:46 00:04:50 now again yes that will require a little
00:04:48 00:04:51 bit of extra capital on your part when
00:04:50 00:04:53 you buy bulk
00:04:51 00:04:54 however right that will turn into a
00:04:53 00:04:56 profit because you've already proven
00:04:54 00:04:58 that you can sell the product
00:04:56 00:05:00 and leads me to my last con right if
00:04:58 00:05:02 you're doing aliexpress
00:05:00 00:05:04 drop shipping specifically you really
00:05:02 00:05:05 want to make sure now this is a pro and
00:05:04 00:05:07 a con because it forces you to do so
00:05:05 00:05:09 but you really want to make sure you
00:05:07 00:05:11 focus on very very very good customer
00:05:09 00:05:12 service right a lot of the reasons that
00:05:11 00:05:14 drop shippers fail
00:05:12 00:05:15 is because you know they don't
00:05:14 00:05:17 communicate well with their customers
00:05:15 00:05:18 they're the customers are confused they
00:05:17 00:05:18 don't know where their product is and
00:05:18 00:05:20 you know
00:05:18 00:05:22 most dropshippers don't even respond to
00:05:20 00:05:24 them right so i challenge you right
00:05:22 00:05:26 over compensate with good customer
00:05:24 00:05:28 service test your offers
00:05:26 00:05:29 and then grow your ecommerce business

00:05:31 00:05:35 marketing is a huge huge way

00:05:35 00:05:38 do it i actually got my start

00:05:38 00:05:41 marketing 13 years ago back in college

00:05:41 00:05:45 affiliate marketing again similar to
00:05:43 00:05:46 e-commerce and drop shipping is really
00:05:45 00:05:48 really low cost
00:05:46 00:05:50 and it really doesn't it's a low-risk
00:05:48 00:05:52 business model however
00:05:50 00:05:54 right with affiliate marketing you are
00:05:52 00:05:55 really just building someone else's
00:05:54 00:05:57 empire right you're helping
00:05:55 00:05:58 them grow their business not really
00:05:57 00:06:01 something of your own
00:05:58 00:06:01 however right because you're able to
00:06:01 00:06:03 kind of
00:06:01 00:06:04 you know promote somebody else's product
00:06:03 00:06:06 you can kind of
00:06:04 00:06:07 you know protect yourself in a way where
00:06:06 00:06:08 you don't really have to do customer
00:06:07 00:06:09 service
00:06:08 00:06:12 right you really don't have any
00:06:09 00:06:13 fulfillment right which makes it a huge
00:06:12 00:06:15 huge huge pro
00:06:13 00:06:16 right so the biggest con with affiliate
00:06:15 00:06:18 marketing is that you're building
00:06:16 00:06:20 somebody else's business right
00:06:18 00:06:22 you're helping them grow their customer
00:06:20 00:06:23 base and all of that however in exchange
00:06:22 00:06:25 for that con
00:06:23 00:06:26 your biggest pros are it's low risk low
00:06:25 00:06:27 cost
00:06:26 00:06:29 you don't have to handle any of the
00:06:27 00:06:31 customer service because
00:06:29 00:06:33 the person you're you're promoting is
00:06:31 00:06:35 doing that and then you don't have any
00:06:33 00:06:36 fulfillment costs as well because again
00:06:35 00:06:37 the person the
00:06:36 00:06:39 product that you're promoting and
00:06:37 00:06:41 getting a commission off of that company

00:07:00 00:07:03 you're seeing sales come in that tells

00:07:03 00:07:07 i can launch for my own brand so

00:07:07 00:07:10 in that way that allows you to kind of
00:07:09 00:07:12 test the waters and see if you can
00:07:10 00:07:13 actually sell a product before you go
00:07:12 00:07:15 and put the time and energy into
00:07:13 00:07:17 actually developing it for yourself now
00:07:15 00:07:18 let's tok about some of the cons so one
00:07:17 00:07:20 of the cons i already mentioned
00:07:18 00:07:22 was you're not really building your own
00:07:20 00:07:23 business which it is a big deal right
00:07:22 00:07:25 because you you don't get to control
00:07:23 00:07:26 those email addresses
00:07:25 00:07:28 you don't get to kind of control the
00:07:26 00:07:30 customers and that's really where most
00:07:28 00:07:32 money in a business is made right that
00:07:30 00:07:33 first sale that a business makes
00:07:32 00:07:35 isn't where the money is made right most
00:07:33 00:07:37 of the money in a business is made on
00:07:35 00:07:39 the back end right the repeat purchases
00:07:37 00:07:41 that you get to your customers
00:07:39 00:07:42 which you being an affiliate marketer
00:07:41 00:07:44 right you really don't get to take
00:07:42 00:07:46 advantage of the second con is
00:07:44 00:07:47 you need to be good at this right
00:07:46 00:07:49 affiliate marketing used to be really
00:07:47 00:07:51 really easy back 10 years ago but right
00:07:49 00:07:52 now it's such a competitive landscape
00:07:51 00:07:53 that
00:07:52 00:07:55 you really need to be an expert at
00:07:53 00:07:57 direct response marketing meaning
00:07:55 00:07:58 you need to understand how sales funnels
00:07:57 00:07:59 work you need to understand how
00:07:58 00:08:01 advertising works
00:07:59 00:08:03 to make your business actually
00:08:01 00:08:04 profitable a lot of the people that are
00:08:03 00:08:06 already doing well in affiliate
00:08:04 00:08:07 marketing are people that already have
00:08:06 00:08:09 big lists of customers so if you're just
00:08:07 00:08:10 getting started with affiliate marketing
00:08:09 00:08:13 it's going to be a little bit more
00:08:10 00:08:14 challenging for you um to to get the
00:08:13 00:08:15 ball rolling and seeing those
00:08:14 00:08:17 commissions coming in
00:08:15 00:08:19 which leads me to my next point right it
00:08:17 00:08:21 takes a lot of time right
00:08:19 00:08:23 affiliate marketing unlike ecommerce and
00:08:21 00:08:25 drop shipping right you can throw a
00:08:23 00:08:27 site together you know within a day or
00:08:25 00:08:29 two and start driving traffic and sale
00:08:27 00:08:31 and seeing sales come in
00:08:29 00:08:32 however with affiliate marketing it's
00:08:31 00:08:34 kind of it's a more it takes a lot of
00:08:32 00:08:34 time whether you're putting out youtube
00:08:34 00:08:36 content
00:08:34 00:08:38 or blog posts right it takes time to
00:08:36 00:08:39 rank on certain keywords
00:08:38 00:08:41 and actually then start seeing the
00:08:39 00:08:43 fruits of your labor and it leads me to
00:08:41 00:08:45 my last con about affiliate marketing
00:08:43 00:08:46 it's very difficult to sell directly
00:08:45 00:08:47 right you can't just promote your
00:08:46 00:08:51 affiliate links
00:08:47 00:08:53 on on uh on on facebook or or youtube
00:08:51 00:08:54 ads or any of these ad platforms
00:08:53 00:08:56 because that then you're just really
00:08:54 00:08:57 just competing with that direct person
00:08:56 00:08:59 right so they don't
00:08:57 00:09:01 allow you to really sell it directly so
00:08:59 00:09:01 usually you have to hide these affiliate
00:09:01 00:09:04 offers
00:09:01 00:09:05 like on behind some sort of funnel which
00:09:04 00:09:06 makes it a little bit more difficult to

00:09:46 00:09:48 business right they charge you a couple
00:09:47 00:09:50 thousand dollars a month
00:09:48 00:09:53 right and they provide a service for you
00:09:50 00:09:54 now the pros of an agency the biggest
00:09:53 00:09:56 pro of them all is that you can charge
00:09:54 00:09:57 more premium prices
00:09:56 00:09:59 right meaning if you're really good at
00:09:57 00:10:02 what you do you can charge people 10
00:09:59 00:10:03 20 000 a month right just for the
00:10:02 00:10:04 services that you provide for their

00:10:39 00:10:44 aren't aware of number one the biggest
00:10:41 00:10:46 one is you have to absolutely be
00:10:44 00:10:47 amazing at what you offer right you
00:10:46 00:10:48 can't just go
00:10:47 00:10:50 out there and say hey i'm gonna run your
00:10:48 00:10:52 facebook ads for this local
00:10:50 00:10:54 uh you know uh business near your house
00:10:52 00:10:55 or this e-commerce business
00:10:54 00:10:57 right because they're maybe they'll
00:10:55 00:10:58 trust you for a month
00:10:57 00:11:00 right but then they're gonna cancel your
00:10:58 00:11:02 retainer and you're no longer going to
00:11:00 00:11:04 have that that client anymore
00:11:02 00:11:06 okay so the first thing is you need to
00:11:04 00:11:07 already be very good at something before
00:11:06 00:11:09 you start offering
00:11:07 00:11:11 some sort of service to people okay
00:11:09 00:11:12 which most people that are getting
00:11:11 00:11:13 started with making money online whether
00:11:12 00:11:14 you're a beginner or somebody that's
00:11:13 00:11:16 just getting started or you're already
00:11:14 00:11:17 seasoned and doing you know doing good

00:11:18 00:11:21 usually you don't have you're not an
00:11:19 00:11:23 expert at one specific skill
00:11:21 00:11:24 but think outside the box sometimes

00:11:42 00:11:46 that is the key otherwise
00:11:44 00:11:47 people are just going to cancel after a
00:11:46 00:11:49 month of working with you

00:11:49 00:11:52 an agency you really need to to have
00:11:51 00:11:54 people on retainer
00:11:52 00:11:55 and staying with you because the
00:11:54 00:11:58 services that you provide are so
00:11:55 00:12:00 valuable number two as far as cons with
00:11:58 00:12:02 the agency work is it's not as scalable
00:12:00 00:12:03 as other business models right with
00:12:02 00:12:05 ecommerce products right
00:12:03 00:12:06 you're scaling your advertisements and
00:12:05 00:12:07 trying to reach as many people in your
00:12:06 00:12:09 niche as possible
00:12:07 00:12:11 now with agency side if you're very
00:12:09 00:12:12 niched in there's a finite amount of
00:12:11 00:12:14 people that may want your service
00:12:12 00:12:16 and not to mention if it's a large pool
00:12:14 00:12:18 right and you you're going to need to
00:12:16 00:12:20 train more people to kind of do
00:12:18 00:12:22 what you do at the level that you do
00:12:20 00:12:24 right which takes a lot of trust and it
00:12:22 00:12:25 takes a lot of building systems and
00:12:24 00:12:27 processes into your business
