Double Dipping at Walgreens

Foreign Music: Tips for Double Dipping Deals at Walgreens

Welcome to my YouTube channel, where I share tips and tricks for saving money at Walgreens. In this video, we'll be discussing double dipping and how you can take advantage of it to get the best deals possible.

Tips for Double Dipping:

- Double dipping is when the old ad from the current week is active and they are putting together the new ad, so you might get lucky and get both offers or both rewards.

- Double dipping starts at 10 pm Central Standard Time, which means it starts at 9:00 pm if you're not in Standard Time and 11:00 pm if you're in Eastern Standard Time.

- The best double dip deals in my experience are at 10:30 or 9:30/11:30, depending on your time zone.

- Add the deals to your cart and see if you get both offers or both rewards.

- You can do this in-store, but it's not a guarantee, so I prefer to do it online.

- Look for items that are on sale in the current week and will be on sale in the next week.

- Check if the item is buy one get one free in the next week's ad.

- Add two to your cart and see if they ring out two for three dollars.

- Add three to your cart and see if they ring out for a lower price.

- Take advantage of spin deals by spending the required amount and getting Walgreens cash back.

By following these tips, you can double dip and save even more money at Walgreens. Remember to check for deals in the current and next week's ads, add items to your cart, and see if you get both offers or rewards. Thanks for watching, and don't forget to hit subscribe for more money-saving tips.

How L'Oréal Increased Productivity of Promotional Forecasts at Walgreens Stores Nationwide

Walgreens and RSI Collaboration: Improving Supply Chain Outcomes

Walgreens and RSI have been in a collaborative relationship for the past eight years. Over 300 suppliers collaborate with Walgreens using data provided by RSI to generate success. This article focuses on the three-legged stool that Walgreens and RSI stand on to develop value-added use cases around key supply chain outcomes.

Value Cycle:

To accomplish their goals, Walgreens and RSI define the business value they want to achieve. The total team, including supply chain, sales, and marketing, collaborates to develop a joint business plan. The value pyramid is used to create action plans, which are then tracked and measured to the size of the prize.

My POS:

My POS is an acronym for the project created by Walgreens and RSI. They formed a steering committee and project team to analyze almost 2,000 SKUs in every Walgreens store. Three use cases were primarily used, including a promo forecasting use case, new product introduction use case, and in-stock rate use case.

Promo Forecasting Use Case:

Walgreens runs ads on cosmetics for 42 out of 52 weeks per year. RSI built a tool that loads previous events and forms a forecast. Collaboration is key, and the tool has resulted in a 10% increase in promoted sales on average across events.

New Product Introduction Use Case:

Walgreens introduces between 300-400 new items per year. The use case is used to start the new item use case early, and new item sales are important to Walgreens. The tool helps Walgreens launch major advertising and attract new customers.

In-Stock Rate Use Case:

Walgreens and RSI use the tool to ensure that Walgreens and L'Oreal are not inundated with returns and that products are in stock. The use case is important in managing excess inventory and identifying phantom inventory distribution voids.

Walgreens and RSI's collaborative relationship has resulted in significant success. By focusing on the three-legged stool of supply chain outcomes, Walgreens and RSI have developed value-added use cases. The use cases have improved inventory productivity, product availability, and in-stock rates, resulting in increased sales and customer satisfaction.

How Walgreens Started

Have you ever wondered about the story behind Walgreens, the pharmacy chain with 8 million daily customers? It all started with an accident that led to the innovation of this massive chain. Charles Rudolph Walgreen, the man behind this fascinating story, founded a neighborhood drugstore in 1901 that grew to beat every existing pharmacy in the states.

Bullet Points:

- Charles Walgreen was born to Swedish immigrants in 1873 in Knoxville before moving to Galesburg, Illinois in 1887.

- He worked as a bookkeeper for a while before becoming interested in pharmacology after an industrial accident cost him a part of his finger on his left hand.

- He remained in the company until the age of 20, during which his interest in pharmacology grew.

- He relocated to Chicago with just 20 dollars that he had borrowed from his sister Clementine in 1893.

- He worked in drugstores and studied pharmacy in his free time, never stopping hustling and believing that someday he will be able to make it in life.

- He managed to become a registered pharmacist in 1897 and enlisted in the Spanish-American War.

- He bought his first store in 1901 using up all the money he had saved, which eventually led to the establishment of Walgreen Co in 1909.

- Walgreens was one of the first chains to carry non-pharmaceuticals as a mainstay of the store's retail selection.

- He installed eye-catching displays and attractively merchandised windows, a direct departure from the boring lifeless stores people had become accustomed to.

- He popularized the lunch counter by connecting a soda fountain, introducing the really popular malted milk as a fountain item in one of his stores in 1922.

- He came up with the idea to sell hot soup and sandwiches during the cold winter months to keep the room active and profitable all year round.

- He boosted his advertising budget to 1 million dollars in 1933 and helped celebrate Chicago's spectacular Century of Progress by opening four stores on the fairgrounds.

- He opened the first of what has often been referred to as the super drug stores in 1934 in Tampa, Florida.

Charles Walgreen's determination and innovation played a significant role in the success of Walgreens. He believed in making better products and selling them at a cheaper price, which helped him build his chain and keep it going even through the depression. His legacy continues to this day, and Walgreens remains one of the most respected American corporations.
