✅ What EXACTLY Is Shopify and How Does it Work? (An Inside Look)

what is shopify? hey guys, welcome back to the channel. today i'm gonna be showing you everything you need to know about shopify, and if shopify is the best platform for you to choose as your e-commerce company, so let's get into it now. first off, you're just gonna to go onto shopifycom and you can see that there are quite a few things that shopify does for you, so they have many different tools. the basic tool that most people use shopify for is their e-commerce platform, but you can also make logos, have domain names, have pay stubs, qr codes, gift certificates, privacy policies and all of that other stuff is also available on shopify, and shopify is not available for free. so if you are looking to start your ecommerce store with shopify, you cannot do it for free. you have to opt for 30, 80 or 300 versions, and they all have different features that you can pick from. so if you actually log on to the shopify platform and create your account, this is what your basic shopify account is going to look like. once you subscribe for the 30 version of shopify. you can see that on your left you have your homes, you have your home section, or your basic dashboard, so this is where you can see all of your summaries, your domain names and all of that stuff is going to be summarized on your homepage. then you have your orders section, so all of your incoming orders for any of the products that you have listed on your shopify store are going to be available over here. then you have products, so you can list your inventories, transfers, collections, gift cards, all of that stuff over here. so it's a pretty simple setup so you can just click on add product over here and then you can add images. you can add titles, descriptions, media forms, videos, pricings, cost per items, and all those details can be added over here in the product section. so let's say i'm actually going to take a sample. so let's just say i'm going to sample up a necklace and maybe i'm going to make this a ruby necklace. so what i'm going to do is i'm going to add the title and then, once i have added the title, i'm going to add a accurate description for my product and this description is actually going to appear on my shopify website or my shopify ecommerce store, whatever you might want to call it. so that is why you need to make sure that the description and the title that you're adding is accurate and you want these to be as optimized to seo as possible, because you want these to appear on the home pages of people searches. so i would add, like custom cut ruby necklace, something like that, or after that, i would actually then start adding my media files, and you can add media directly from url copy paste as well. so if you already have a inventory of all of your images, you can copy those from here now. after that, you can just add pricing. so let's just say i would add twelve dollars as or my price for my necklace. what i can do is i can add a cost per item as well. and the reason that i find this feature very helpful, especially in my own e-commerce store- because i run a e-commerce store for scrunchies and i'm using shopify as my partner, and what i actually like to do is i source my scrunchies from different vendors and some wonders sell them to me for eight dollars, nine dollars, and when i'm selling them for 12 to 15 dollars, it really helps me get a good idea of the profit margins that i have. so let's say i actually, uh, buy this ruby necklace for around ten dollars and then i have a sixteen point seven percent margin and i'm making two dollars of profit, but you need to take into account that you're paying for shopify and other services for your business. but this is what you're going to actually start dealing with in terms of your own accounting and numbers, and this is why i find shopify to be such a helpful tool to use, even in my own business. now, after that, you can charge tax on the product, depending on whatever kind of guidelines you are following, and then you have your stok keeping unit. so what is the specific inventory number that you have? you can keep that over here as well, so you can add whatever. it might be like this: whatever your shopkeeping unit is, you can set those up yourself, and then you have your barcodes as well. or you can choose not to track quantity of your inventory, but you can continue selling when your item is out of stok. so if you're doing drop shipping and you're sourcing items and you can order more items, you can click on continue selling one out of stok and you can add the available quantity. so let's say i have 100 pieces of this necklace. what i can do is i can add 100 over here and then i can remove this option. so once my 100 are sold. it's not going to sell more product, but it's going to just automatikally list it as out of stok. but i can do this and then i can order more necklaces and ship them out when they arrive. so this is another way of you to be able to sell products even if you don't have them in inventory, and this is why i love shopify so much. it allows you to save all these customized options for you. so once you have added all of these details, you're just going to click on save over here and your item or your product is has now been saved and you can now start selling this item on your shopify store. now. after that, you even have your customer section, your finances analytiks, marketing, discounts and application as well on your shopify account and you can add different customers and you can do email marketing with your customer list is over here as well. so if you have a csv file, you can click on import customers over here and directly use your excel sheet or csv file. but if you don't have that, you can just click on add customer and you can add individual names and numbers for those customers. especially if you have a customer that is a frequent buyer, i would suggest that you add them onto this section, and this will allow you to personalize your experience to a whole lot better. after that, you have your finances, and in your finances, not only do you have your overview, so you can track your net sales and earnings, payouts, current bills and collected taxes, but you also have your billing section, as i have mentioned over here that if you go on to their free business tools, they generate your order templates and all of those landing bills. those invoices are generated for free by shopify, so you don't actually have to create your own invoices. you're just going to go into the billing section and you can see all the invoices that have been created and you can add many different payment methods for your shopify store as well. now, after that, you can see all of your own personal bills for your shopify statement as well, and on shopify, you're gonna have to pay for the shopify premium version or their basic version, which starts at 29. or 30 once you run out of their two-week trial. now, after your basic finances, you need to go on to your online store, and this is one of the most important things on your shopify store. so what is shopify? shopify allows you to sell your product. it's an e-commerce company, but how can you really run your online store with shopify? or how can you run your business with shopify? what does shopify do for you? once you have all of your products added to your shopify account, you're going to start selling them by your online store and you can see over here that you have this basic sales section and on your sales section you have your online store. so on your store you have themes, blog posts, pages, navigation preferences and you can customize your store according to your needs. so what you're just going to do is you can see that i have added this dawn theme, but i can just click on customize over here and this will open up the basic overview of my homepage. so you can see that on my top section i have my home page, then i have my product selection, that i have my collections, i have my collection list, i have pages. these are all the navigation panels of my website, or my shopify store or e-commerce store, whatever you might want to call. i.

I Tried Shopify Dropshipping With NO MONEY For 1 Week

so in this video, i'm gonna start a brand new shopify drop shipping business and attempt to take it from zero dollars to over one thousand dollars in just one week. and i'm not going to be using any money for this challenge, and i know a lot of people think you can't start a drop shipping business without any money, but we're gonna prove them wrong in this video and i'll be starting the drop shipping business completely from scratch and walk you through the entire step-by-step process, and at the end of the video, i'll show you exactly how much money the business makes. honestly, i'm hoping it's gonna make over a thousand dollars, but we're just gonna have to wait and see. so i have a lot of stuff that i have to get done today, and the very first thing i want to do is just find a good product to sell, and then after that, i'm just going to find a good supplier. then i'm just going to create my online store with shopify and then after that, i'm going to start creating advertisements, and for this challenge, i'm basically going to be using pinterest, instagram and tiktok and just basically post viral videos on there for free. and yes, this method does work well, since i do use it on my current drop shipping businesses that make over six figures. okay. so the first thing i want to start by doing is trying to find a good product to sell and, honestly, as long as i can create viral videos with the product and it has high demand, it's something i can work with. and, honestly, i find about 99 of my viral products on tiktok, so i'm going to kind of show you my strategy and how you can do this yourself. so kind of what i do on tik tok is just search up tiktok made me buy it- then i'll just click on that little hamburger icon in the top right corner, then i'll just change the date posted to this month and now it's going to show you a bunch of relevant winning products that are selling right now. and some other hashtags you can do this with is amazon fines, drop shippers exposed and tiktok viral products. but anyways, i'm going to take the next 20 minutes to try to find some good products to sell and once i do find something, i'll come back and update you okay. so, honestly, i found a ton of really good products, but there is one that stood out to me the most, which is the cordless hair curler. and for anyone who doesn't know? the cordless hair curler is really convenient for females, since you can kind of touch up your hair anywhere you go, and there's so many stores on tiktok selling this product, so if they're doing well, i'm sure i can also do the same. all right. so the next thing i want to do is find a supplier that i can get the product from, and so for this video, i think i'm going to use spocket. so i found the cordless hair curler on spock it for 28 dollars and 30 cents, which is really good, and the shipping times are only seven to 14 business days, which is also ideal, and i think i'm gonna sell the product on my store for 59.99. now i've actually seen a lot of stores sign this product for over a hundred dollars, but because i do want to sell a lot of product in a short period of time and i don't want it to be too expensive, i think 59.99 is a good number to stik with, and if my customers do see that other stores are selling it for over a hundred dollars and i'm only selling it for a fraction of that cost, i'm sure they'd rather buy it from my store. now i do want to add one other product to my store, and i'm thinking just to make it an upsell. so, anyways, i found this heat protectant spray and i think it goes really well with the cordless hair curler, and i'm thinking to sell it on my store for 19.99, and it's only going to cost me eight dollars and 27 cents, which is pretty good, and if you do need a supplier for your drop shipping store, i'll leave a link for spock it in the description of this video. but, anyways, now i got the product, which i'm happy about, and so the next step now is to actually start building my shopify store, and i do want my store to look like an actual brand, and so it is going to take me a little bit of time to build it. so, anyways, i'm going to start working on the store right now and then i'll update you tomorrow once i'm done. all right, so it's the second day now and i finally finished the store and i made it look very simple and clean, and i'm going to show you the page that the customers get redirected to. so, anyways, i have different color options here, and i also did add a sales timer to create sense of urgency. i also included a ton of high quality photos, which is really important, and i also added this to build more trust with the customers. and if you scroll down here, you can see i put what's included in the package, then i tok about the benefits of buying the cordless hair curler, then i added some frequently asked questions and then i also do have a 30 day money back guarantee. a lot of customers won't buy your product if you don't have this, so make sure you do. and if you scroll down here, you can see that i did include how the cordless hair curler works, so this just makes it look really easy and straightforward. and all the way at the bottom of the page i did include some customer reviews. now, i obviously did import these reviews to my store, but usually i do have real customer reviews. but that's pretty much it for the store and i think it looks pretty good. but anyways, now that i'm done with my store, the next important thing i have to do is add a shopify app called after sell to my store, and the reason i'm going to use after sell is because it can increase my revenue anywhere from 10 to 15, which is exactly what i want. and afterstok is for post purchase upsells, and if you don't know what that is. it's basically when you offer a customer a product to purchase after they've already purchased something from your store. for example, after someone purchases the cordless hair curler from my store, i can then offer them another product to purchase. so in my case, i could upsell the heat protectant spray, since it works well with the cordless hair curler. and post purchase upsells work so well because if a customer just purchased something from your store, they're more likely to purchase another item, since you already built that initial trust, and you can even give them a really good discount on the upsell offer, which will then make them want to buy it even more. now, one thing you never want to do with upsells is actually offer them to the customer before they've made a purchase. this will just end up confusing them and they might not end up buying the product at all. but the good thing about after sell is that the upsell offer only comes after a customer makes a purchase, which is exactly what we want. but anyways, i'm actually going to create an upsell offer using after sale for my store right now and kind of walk you through the process step by step. okay, so the very first thing you want to do is go to the shopify app store and just search for after cell and it should come up. so it's going to look like this: after sell, post purchase, upsell. so let's add the app. okay, so once you're in after sale, the first thing you want to do is click here on enable settings. then it's going to bring you to the shopify page. so just make sure you click on after cell, then just click on save. okay, back here, let's just refresh the page. okay, now the first thing we want to do is actually just set up our first funnel. click here on create and i'm just going to name this funnel: heat protectant. so here i want to click show this funnel to all customers. since i only do have one upsell product. okay, now i'm going to choose the upsell product and basically what i'm going to be upselling is this heat protectant spray. now, the cool thing here is, if the customer actually does end up purchasing this product, you can offer them another upsell, and if they decline this product, then you can offer them a downsell. now, since i don't have any other products, i'm just going to keep it like this, but you can add products in here. now. next thing i want to do is click here on edi.

Shopify Tutorial for Beginners 2022 | Set up a Shopify Store in 13 Minutes

in this shopify tutorial for beginners, i'm going to show you, step by step, how to use shopify to build your own online store from complete scratch. so let's not waste any time and get started. the first thing we're going to do is get us a 14-day free trial for shopify. so go to the description of this video and click on the first link you find there, or simply go to medicsmediacom. forward slash shopify. here. we can now claim our free trial by signing up for a new shopify account. simply type in your email and click on start free trial. then set your password and click on create your store. to save some time, we're going to skip the survey by clicking on skip. here you have to type in the name and address of your business and then click on enter my store. that will take us to the dashboard of our new shopify store. so let's start by choosing a store theme. on the left side menu, we click on online store and then on themes. currently, the default theme on shopify is the dawn theme, which is not bad, but for this store i'm actually going to choose a different one. so we scroll down and click on explore free themes. here you can now choose from 10 different themes that come with the shopify plan. you can take some time to check out each of these themes for yourself and then decide which one will fit your business the best. i'm going to choose the brooklyn theme for this store. once the new theme has been added, we can click on actions and then publish, and now we can see that our current theme has changed from the default one to the new one we have just added. now we can go ahead and click on customize to start building out our store. here's where we can edit all of our store pages, like our home page, product pages, collection pages and so on. you can also check how your store looks like on different devices and screen sizes by clicking on the desktop icon on the top right and then choosing mobile phone, for example. however, we're going to make our changes on desktop view. on the left side, you can see the structure of your current home page. it always starts with the header all the way on the top and ends with a footer, which is all the way on the bottom, and in between is the content of the page. by default, there are already some sections on our homepage. first, we have a slideshow section. next we have a text section, a collection list, a featured collection, a featured product and a newsletter section. we can also rearrange these by dragging them up or down, or we can also delete sections by selecting it and then clicking on remove section on the bottom. if you want to add something new, we can simply click on add section on the left side and choose what kind of content we would like to add. so let's now start adding content to our homepage. we're going to start by adding a logo to our header. so we're going to select our header on the left side and then click on select image. here i'm going to upload my logo for this door and then click on select. i'm also going to upload a white version of this logo so that when there's a dark background, the logo will turn to white. to do that, i'm going to upload the image under transparent logo and now you can see that the logo on my home page turned to white, but when i change to a collection page, for example, it will turn to black again. so let's go back to our homepage and move on. we're going to select our header again and then scroll all the way down to the announcement bar menu. here i can change the announcement text for the top of the website. this is a good place to put promotional messages like, for example, giving a discount code or simply putting something like free shipping worldwide. of course, you can also remove the announcement bar altogether if you want to. now we're already done with the header and we can move on with the next section of the homepage, which is the slideshow. for the sake of this tutorial, i'm only going to add one picture here, so i'm going to delete one slide by selecting it and then clicking on remove block on the bottom. then i'm going to select the remaining slide and click on select image and then add my hero image, which is what people will see first when they visit my store. then i'll go to text alignment and put the text all the way to the right, and we also want to change our heading and subheading. plus, i also want to add a shop now button. so under button link, i'm just going to choose collections, all collections, so that when people click on that button, they will see all the product collections that we will add later in the video. however, we want to make it stand out a bit more, so i'm going to change the button color to orange. awesome. the first part of our home page is now finished. now would be a good time to save what we've done so far, so we're gonna click on save on the top right. so let's move on with the next part, which is our collection list. this is an overview of the different collections that we have on our store. by selecting this section, we can first choose a name for our collection. i'm gonna name it- find your style. as i'm building a watch store here, i want to have a men's collection and a women's collection, so i'm going to delete collections until i only end up with two separate collections. and now we can actually edit and populate these collections in the back office of our shopify account. so we're going to right click on the exit button on the top left and then click on open link in a new tab. that will take us back to our shopify dashboard. here we want to go to products and then choose collections. here i'm going to delete the default collection that is already set up by selecting it first and then going to more actions and delete collection. then we're going to create a new collection and we're going to name this collection men's. now we can add the collection image on the right side. under collection type, we're going to choose manual, because we're going to be manually adding our products later, and then we can hit save. now we can do the same process for all of our other collections. once that's done, we can now put these collections on our home page. so let's go back to our editor and then select the first collection in our collection list and here we can assign the corresponding collections. so i'm going to choose women's for the first one, and then for the second one i'm gonna choose men's, and that's already it for my collection list. we can then move on and also set up our feature collection. here i want to feature the products of the new arrivals collection that i've created before, so i'm going to give it a name and then select the new arrivals collection. however, as you can see, we don't have any product set up yet, so this is what we're going to do next. so let's click on save and then go back to our shopify dashboard. here we want to go to products and then all products. then we're going to add our first product. i'm going to name it minimalist leather watch, and i'm going to skip the description for now, to save some time now. we want to upload a nice product image and also put the price of the product and then also the available quantity we have in stok under inventory section. if you want to, you can also go through the rest of these options here and put in more information about your product. then we also want to choose the collections that this product belongs to. so for this product, i'm going to add it to the men's collection and also to the new arrivals collection, and now we can click on save and go back to our products. for all of our other products we can now do the exact same process. once we've added all of our products and we're ready to put them on our store, we need to change their status from draft to active. so we're going to select all of our products, click on more actions and then set as active. now we can go back to our editor and now we can see the three products that i've just added to the new arrivals collection. then let's move on and go to the feature product section and then we're going to select a specific product that we'd like.

so this is how you're gonna do it: we're gonna go to online store. we're gonna hit themes and then we're gonna scroll down to the visit shopify theme store. okay, so from there we're gonna go and search dawn, and here it is. this is dawn, a brand spanking new theme that literally just dropped last year, and it is free, which i love. and, guys, you see these other free theme options here. we've got crave, we've got craft, this one's called sense, which i love. this is taste and studio, and these are all brand new themes i just dropped and they are so sick. i love all of these. so if you're not love and dawn, you have other options, and they're really just designed to help you get started more quickly and get you up and running in a pinch. so when you create your online store with shopify, you can choose between free themes and premium themes, and the free ones that we just looked at are great, but here are some really amazing premium themes as well. uh, these are going to be paid right, so this one is drop, this is bullet, and this is be yours. these are beautiful, gorgeous themes. um, there's also other themes to choose from, other than the ones that i've just toked about, but let's say you're, you know, go.

How Shopify Dropshipping Works

There's a trendy e-commerce fad. behind those obscure, eye-catching products that fill our feeds on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube: It's called dropshipping. It's definitely an industry that is growing. You're seeing companies going public now just based on this premise of dropshipping. The model relies on targeted ads designed to stop consumers from scrolling long enough to make an impulse purchase, usually from a Shopify store set up solely for that product. Many of those same younger consumers. they are also looking for creative ways to make money, And this really is the rise of the young merchant. It's like salesmen. Salesmen are like the old school version of marketing. If you're a good salesman, you can sell anything to anybody At age 21,. Ka mil Sattar's dropshipping sales topped 1.7 million dollars in 2020.. You basically only buy the product when you get the payment, And then you get the product from a supplier in the US or China. Then they send the product directly to the consumer and you never see it or never touch it. Some sellers say dropshipping is a get-rich-quick scheme to make easy millions without ever leaving your couch. Others call it a serious business that takes major hustle to pull off properly. There are more nefarious actors in this industry, and there are legitimate ones. We toked to some big name dropshippers about how they made millions with viral products and asked e-commerce experts how copycats and cutting corners could tarnish the industry for everyone. Dropshipping in its simplest form is when the seller acts as a middleman without ever touching the merchandise. Nick Peroni does dropshipping full-time, sourcing sites like AliExpress for low-cost products available directly from suppliers, usually in China. If you have a supplier you can trust, you can do the quality control with the supplier. They can send me pictures of it- 3D video of it, so that I can see exactly how it looks. After a customer places an order on Peroni's Shopify store, he purchases the product from the supplier and has it shipped directly to the customer, which can take some time. If you find products that are unique enough, then people are generally willing to wait. Take this laptop sleeve that I ordered on June 30th last year. It shipped directly from China and took two months to get to California Products, where it takes 30 days, 60 days, even 90 days to even get to you. Now that is what I call poor dropshipping. Where people really tend to get annoyed with dropshipping is if they waited for two weeks and then they get their product and it sucks anyway. I ordered these boots on October 28th last year and they arrived December 7th. I never got a shipping or a tracking notification And when they did finally get here, they came in this ripped bag from China Post and they were stuffed loosely inside. They smelled pretty awful and they were the wrong size. I thought about returning them, but returns with dropshipped items from overseas can be pretty complicated. I looked for a customer service number on the store where I bought these and I couldn't find one, and I opted not to return them because I would have had to pay for my own return. p ostage- False advertising is definitely a big problem in the dropshipping world. The product is aligned with you, aligned with your interests, and you want to buy it. So you buy it And it does not match up at all to the product you're getting. Dropshipping is also what's responsible. if you order something from Amazon but it arrives in a box from Walmart or any other major retailer, The customer is confused. they're like: I ordered something from Amazon t. his is not my product. I got so many messages like: why did you send me this? Bradley Sutton provides software for Amazon sellers and he test ed out dropshipping in the 2020 holiday season. He sold things like RC cars on his Amazon page, dropshipped from cheaper listings on Walmart and elsewhere. Part of Amazon's dropshipping policy is that you do not deliver with packaging. t hat is from another retailer, But my account didn't get shut down. I grossed over $500,000 dollars, but I've kind of stopped that test because it's just not a sustainable model for me. Amazon has a long-standing policy against dropshipping from other retailers, And a spokesperson told CNBC: "If a seller violates our policy, we will no longer allow them to directly fulfill customer orders". So you have Shopify, you have BigC ommerce, you have WooCommerce, you have Amazon, you have eBay And if you get banned on one platform, you can move up to the next one. In an analysis of more than 120,000 Shopify stores, online consumer protection company Fakespot found more than 25,000 that engaged in some form of fraudulent activity, like counterfeits, privacy leaks and buying fake reviews. Of those, almost 72 percent showed evidence of dropshipping tactiks being used in their business. Fakespot has a Chrome plugin that alerts shoppers if a seller on Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Best Buy or Sephora can't be trusted. It recently added capabilities to detect untrustworthy stores on Shopify, too. Fakespot says most of the fraudulent stores appear to be China-based merchants posing as US small businesses. You want to support the local mom and pop store, but these s? ellers are not from the United States. They're from around the world and they're just utilizing this to make a buck. Still, Shopify is home to the online stores of major brands like Heinz, Staples, Jenny Craig and Gymshark, With more sellers than ever before signing up for a Shopify storefront in Q3 last year. Shopify shares more than doubled in 2020, and its market cap recently surpassed 150 billion. Thirty five percent of young Americans started a side hustle during the pandemic. Most of them are doing it on Shopify, which is why you saw more signups in Q3 than ever before, But the way they're doing it is totally different. They're using avenues like TikTok. In a survey of more than 10,000 consumers, Shopify found that 54 percent of shoppers age 18 to 35 discover brands on social media and 28 percent made a purchase there. These young consumers are going to be the shopkeepers of 2021, and the way they buy is going to be the way they're going to sell. Choosing the right product takes a lot of legwork. I always say to people: you're going to test around about five to ten products until you find something that actually does something. This pineapple slicer and these dog grooming gloves are examples of products that flopped for Sattar. It's all about finding things that people haven't tried before. We have softwares that we use where they do AI tiknology and they tell us what are the best products at the moment what's trending? right. so first things first, load up your computer, go over to google and type in shopifycom or hit the link in my description. if you guys want an extended free trial, click on shopify and click start free trial. go ahead and type in your email and create a password- i recommend creating a brand new gmail account, as it is easier to keep all your business stuff in one place instead of cluttering it in with your personal emails- and create your store name- and, honestly, this part doesn't really matter, because you can always go back and change the name and purchase a new domain name later. so for now, i'm just going to call this nathan's first store- not actually my first store, but that's what we're calling it. shopify is going to go ahead and ask you a few questions, whether you're just starting out or if you're already selling. what you can do is just go ahead and skip this entire part, as it's not super necessary in the beginning and you don't really need to answer those questions. however, you do need to put in your country and then hit enter my store. so if you made it to this part, you actually made it farther than 99 of people who say they're gonna start an online business. you now have your own dashboard and storefront with shopify, so the home page here is basically gonna prompt you to complete a bunch of steps in order to get your store up and running. next thing, we have an orders tab over here which is gonna track and manage all the orders that are gonna be coming through later. the next one: we have products, where you're gonna be managing the different products and inventory that you have. the customer tab, where you're gonna control everything that's customer related in one single place. analytiks, where you're going to see the daily view. you know how much you're making- your average order value, conversion rates- all that important stuff. a marketing channel: we're going to keep track of all the different ways your marketing on your store. discount codes, if you want to make unique discount codes for certain people to shop. and lastly but most importantly, the online store sales channel itself, where you're gonna be creating the website, choosing the theme, adding blog posts, if that's what you want, creating other pages like a contact us and a track your order page, making the navigation menus and the footer menus different preferences about your store. and just before we jump into actually building a store, i do want to run you through just the most important things that you should fix up on your settings. so the first thing, over here in store details, you want to change the currency to usd. i mean, 90 of my customers, i would say, come from the united states and if you're on the same boat, i would recommend having your currency set to usd [Music] and just go ahead and click save. besides that, you can start to fill out your billing information so they can bill you eventually. when you get off of the free trial, you can start to set up staff accounts. if you're working on this business with somebody else, you can start to set up your bank account so that they can actually pay you when you make orders. and beyond that, there's not a whole lot that we need to do in the very beginning in the settings. so now it's time to find our first product so that we can actually start making some sales down here, you'll notike this section called apps. you just want to come over here and click add apps. it'll take you straight to the shopify app store if you click the link at the bottom, and this is where you want to be: to go ahead and get an app that allows you to import a product in one click. now, oberlo was a big app that allowed you to do this before. i'm not even too sure it's still on the shopify app store. no, it's not. in fact, it's been completely removed, and this is the best way for beginners to get started was to use oberlo and one click add a product from aliexpress to their store. but with oberlo gone, we need an alternative, and deezers is actually partnered with overload to kind of pick up and take over where oberlo left off. but good news for you is that deezers is actually a whole lot more complete and allows you to automate so many more tasks that oberlo just didn't have the functionalities for. the first thing you want to do is go ahead and click on this app and then just click add app and it's going to give you again a 14 day free trial, so you don't have to spend any money out of your pocket. go ahead and click install app, and then it's going to prompt you to a page where you need to create an account for yourself. now don't get scared away by the 499 per month enterprise plan, as all we need right now is the basic free plan and just go ahead and click get started. the next thing is that we need to go ahead and link deezers to aliexpress. so if you just click this logo right here, it's going to take us right through to aliexpress and ideally, you want to already have an account set up. if you don't, it's super quick and easy to make an account on aliexpress. just click authorize and then you're going to get this little support bot and obviously what we want to do at this point is start importing products and figuring out which products we want to sell on our store. it's going to take you through a really quick guide, but i don't real.
