I Tried Dropshipping on Amazon For a Week (Complete Beginner)

so in this video, I'm gonna be taking you through my experience of drop shipping on Amazon for a whole week. I'm gonna be completely transparent. in this video, I'm only showing exactly what I have listed, exactly how much I got it for and how much money I make. I mean even gonna go through the exact numbers of what they did in sales and, more importantly- and something that rarely ever gets shown in all these guru videos- that's exactly how much profit I make. obviously, if I'm spending a hundred thousand dollars a month to make a hundred thousand dollars a month, that's worth nothing and in e-commerce we call that vanity numbers and that's really just for sale. sometimes you just see these entrepreneurs making a hundred thousand, fifty thousand dollars a month, but you never actually find out how much actual profit are they making. so in this video, I'm gonna be breaking down all the numbers: exactly why I spent, how much everything cost me and how much did I actually take home after all the sales were done, and then I'm gonna be telling exactly what the mistakes I made, how can you learn from this mistakes and if this may be something that you would like to start for yourself. so make sure you stik around for the entire video to learn exactly what I went through, so that you can get a better idea what actually is drop shipping on Amazon. and, guys, if you're looking forward to this video, I won't need you to do one thing for me right now, and that's scroll down, hit that like button to make sure that this video gets pushed to a greater, wider audience so that it can possibly help them to. for those new to the channel, my name is Joe Igor. I've been doing e-commerce and specifically, drop shipping for the past three years now. I've been doubled in all sorts of businesses online, so make sure that you subscribe to this channel so that you can see more videos in the future. and okay, let's get into this video straightaway. [Music]. let me start by saying, just as this game, all the things expressed in this video, of my own opinion. they could or might not be correct. I might be completely wrong. this is just my opinion and my experience of what I've done, so make sure that you take that with a grain of sand. what the actual hell. as a kid, I used to buy things and sell them on eBay for a profit and flip them just to make a couple of pounds here and there. well, I had come across a different model, the dropship in model. and for you, those who don't know what the dropship in modeler is exactly, you basically list products online that you find from suppliers just like your local grocery stores, like Walmart, Best Buy and things like that. you list it directly on that website and when someone buys that, you go to the supplier, you enter in their details and you get it sent directly to them. so you never actually house the inventory, you never even see it. basically, you act as a middleman. you just list it on there and when it sells, you buy it and you keep the spread of the difference between your sale price and what you actually boy for. so the first thing I had to do- because I had no clue how to do it- was to do some research. so I started youtubing videos. I ended up watching hours and hours and hours of content, but the craziest thing is that they never showed me how to actually do it. they toked about: are you gonna find the products and you have to list them, and then you make the money this way, but they never show you if you know is how to actually do them. so I was kind of confused. I thought about buying a couple of courses but saw the ones that like a thousand dollars. eventually I sell for one that was two hundred ninety seven dollars and I bought that. so right from the get-go I was down two hundred ninety seven dollars in costs. the next thing I needed to do was separate Amazon seller account, which cost another $39.99. so at this point, you know, I was nearly three hundred dollars hurried down into this experiment. but that was fine because I was hopeful that I would make money in doing this. so after a couple of hours of watching this course, I think it exactly how to do everything. it still seemed a bit iffy. a few things kind of just didn't make sense, but I was just gonna go and jump in for it. so the first thing I needed to do was find products and list them on Amazon. so back in my eBay days it was pretty easy to find items that you could probably sell profitably on eBay. this was not the case for Amazon. as I soon found out, it took a lot longer to find products that you could actually make money on. you actually have to do a lot, of, lot of research, and this includes the first step of finding items that are not in Prime. you can do this, I found out, by downloading a google extension called primal way or various different other ones. so once you download that, you can go straight on to the Amazon page and you can find items that are not prime sellers. the next thing is to go through and figure out which ones are not sold by FBA or by Amazon either, because you do not want to compete with them. always you could be facing possible suspensions and you probably won't get honestly, even make probably a profit on it, because you can't compete with people and FBA, you see, on margins. so after about three hours I finally came across my first product, the first product that I could make money off. I think it was around three dollars and 23 cents. and what did I find? I found a Swiffer, a special type of Swiffer that I could make some money on. so I listed that straightway, hopeful that I would make some sales on that. so waiting for my money to come in. problem was by Devin- I had only listed one product- this was taking away than I ever thought it- and eBay. it was fairly straightforward: you could just find sellers that already selling good products, find out where that is and then list that too and compete with them. Amazon not as easy. de - I did a lot more research in. I researched for another couple hours- find products that could make on. I kept switching between different categories to see if that would help. still took a long time, and I think that's just the nature of the game. this one, in this business model. you don't look for, I guess, a you know quantity, you look for quality, and that's the name of the game. so by the end of day 2 I had found another two products that I could sell. it was a stepladder and of coffee machine. the craziest thing here, which I didn't think would actually work, is that the coffee machine that I found online and that I actually found later and warmer, I could get an $18 profit margin on it. so for me, I thought that there must be something wrong with it. probably won't sell, but let's just list it in case, because I've been so for three hours now. I'm so done. so let's just list this and get this going. so day three comes up. I wake up in the morning, check my emails and I made a bunch of cells. I can't believe it. I mean three hundred and eleven dollars and cells in one night. and guess what? the Swiffer was doing me right, because I had sold that thing over five times and it was making me money already five times. I already made fifteen dollars just by sleeping overnight. so I started searching again. I saw looking up different items, and guess what? I found another two items that I could list and make money on. one was some sort of like weird tube piping for washing machines and the other one was this filter that you could put in your AC unit. so in each of those I can make a couple of dollars profit and I thought it would be good, and then I would be on my way to being a six-figure Amazon seller. day four. so I started picking up by crazy. I started getting emails and emails and emails that these things were just selling, and the best thing that happened was the coffee machine was selling. I was making $18 profit per copy machine and the thing was just selling like crazy, just kept selling and selling. I honestly had to mute my email. so I kept making so many sells. I thought, wow, this is great, nothing can go wrong. this is where it happened, my first big mistake. so

COMPLETE Amazon FBA Tutorial In 2022 | How To Sell On Amazon FBA And Make Money (Step By Step)

hey, what's going on everyone? my name is dan and in today's video, i'll be showing you how to build a successful and profitable business selling on amazon fba from scratch, for complete beginners. now, if you just found out about amazon fba- maybe you've seen people toking about it online, how much money they're making. maybe you've been interested in starting something like this for a while- starting an online business- then this video is for you. first off, i want to start off this video by saying that there has never been a better time to start a successful amazon fba business ever than now. even though a lot of people tok about how competitive amazon is or how oversaturated it is- or maybe you've seen videos about people losing money on amazon- in fact, there's never been a better time to start than today, and all you have to do to see this is just to look at the statistiks. first of all, if we look at the defining company of our generation, it's definitely amazon. amazon is like a tidal force on our entire economy and it has changed the lives of millions of people, especially with the world situation going on. that has you know. that started in 2020 and continues as i make this video today. ecommerce has been the one industry that has absolutely blown up and the key company that has benefited from all of that is amazon. currently, over 50 of all e-commerce sales in the united states happen on amazon, with amazon processing 14 of all ecommerce sales worldwide. right, so 50 over 50 just in the united states and 14 of all e-commerce sales worldwide happen on amazon. every month, over two and a half billion people log on to amazon. that's literally one in every three people alive today on earth. if we look at the number of amazon prime accounts in the world- that's amazon's two to three day monthly subscription for two to three day or same day shipping- there are currently over 150 million amazon prime accounts. that's people who are logging onto amazon every single day with their credit cards plugged in and ready to buy. and in the united states alone, over half of all households in the us currently have an active amazon prime membership, and that number is rising exponentially. and, by the way, this video that you're about to watch here, this complete tutorial, i'm really going to put my all into this, like i'm really going to share the absolute best strategy, all of the steps so that you're able to actually start selling on amazon and start making sales and change your life. you really have the ability right now to start something that will completely transform the rest of your life and will allow you to achieve financial freedom, will allow you to start a real business where you're selling a real product and you're building up something that actually has intrinsic value, as opposed to other businesses out there, as opposed to stoks and crypto and things like that, where you really just don't have control. if we tok, in terms of business, e-commerce is the absolute best business that you can start today, simply because of the fact that you have total control. you can start off with a small amount of money and grow it into a six and seven figure income for yourself, just as i've done for myself in the past few years, and all you have to do to make this happen is to watch this video. now, if we look at amazon stok, it has literally doubled in the last 12 months. amazon, it's obvious it's not going anywhere and, even though there are lots of people out there that are toking about the fact that it's too competitive and it's oversaturated, is it even worth it if you look at the number of new amazon prime memberships compared to the number of new amazon sellers, which are third party sellers- people like you and me. you can see that the number of new signups for amazon prime just vastly, vastly outpaces the number of new sellers. so, in fact, selling on amazon actually becomes easier every single day because there are more customers every single day that join the website for every new seller, meaning that right now, as you're watching this video, there has never been a better time to start, and it gets really confusing because there are so many gurus online. there are so many people online that tok about how it's too late or too competitive or, you know, money lost. if you literally type in amazon fba on youtube, you can see all these videos that try to scare you, when, in fact, if i was starting an online business fresh today from xero, from scratch, you know, not having a lot of money, having no experience, i would start amazon fba because there's just no other business, there's no other way of making money online that even compares, and the fact that there are so many people online toking about amazon fba- you know, toking about passive income, online business, e-commerce- everybody wants you to buy their course, but how do you make out the truth from the noise? right? it's a big problem nowadays: you don't know who's legit and who's not legit. you don't know who to trust and who not to trust, and it seems that all the videos that you watch about amazon either try to scare you or are trying to show you how much money that guru made- and they're posing next to the lamborghini near their supercar. so that's why it's so easy to get overwhelmed with not knowing who to follow. who's actually giving the right no obs information about how to start a successful, profitable amazon fba business. now a little bit about me. if you're brand new to my channel, welcome. super happy to have you here. my name is dan vass and if we look at my journey, i literally tried everything okay. so if we just go back several years now, when i was about 20 or 21 years old, i wanted to start an online business. i was, you know, the typical college kid story where i was just hating my life. in college i was studying business. i was actually working at the bank and i just absolutely hated my life. i didn't see any kind of future where i would work nine to five. the rest of my life. i would barely, barely get by paycheck to paycheck. i would maybe get some kind of a house in the suburbs where i'd have like a million dollar mortgage, because that's how much houses are where i'm from. i grew up in canada, right, and uh, you know, crazy real estate bubble, and so i just said: you know what? this is not for me. i don't want to live a life of scarcity. i want to live a life just like i'm seeing all these people online living. and at the time i was seeing all these influencers online. they were traveling the world, you know, they were making money online. they were posing next to supercars and i just couldn't help but wonder: how are these people doing it? and so that's what led me onto this journey of trying everything. i tried affiliate marketing, i tried stoks, i tried cryptokurrency, i tried social media marketing, and none of it worked until i actually found out about amazon fba. and when i found out about amazon fba, that's when i completely committed to amazon. i saw the potential. i started watching non-stop videos like eight hours a day. this was in 2017.. in the span of the following three months, i went from zero, literally just making no money. i was 40 000 in college debt. i went from that to making 32 000 in a single month in revenue and i had made more money in a single month than anyone has ever made in my entire family up until that day. and i know that so many people tok about how much money they make and all of this. but the truth is is that i am no different than you. if you look at my channel, there are no supercars. there are no you know, luxurious, luxurious mansions or you know anything super flashy. you know i might maybe show off my traveling and stuff like that because i love that right, and you know you want to show off the freedom lifestyle a little bit because it inspires people, but the truth is that i am no different than you. my mission in life is to become one of the greatest e-commerce entrepreneurs and through that part of my mission is to share the absolute best ecommerce content online on youtube here on my channel.

Why I quit Amazon FBA After 30 Days - Retail Arbitrage

Let me tell you how I was able to open a successful Amazon FBA store as a 15-year old that generated over $4,000 in revenue in the first 30 days while only using my bike, and let me show you how you can do the same thing. I'm not lying and will break down all of the numbers later, but let me tell you why I think you shouldn't do this. This all started a little more than a month ago. I was watching YouTube and came across a video where a person toked about how they drop-shipped from Walmart to amazon successfully. If you don’t know what dropshipping is, it’s where you find an item on a website like Walmart that, for example, costs $2.98,. then you find that same item on a website like amazon and sell that item that you can get on Walmart for $2.98 for $14.99.. Then, when someone buys that item on Amazon, you go to Walmart and buy that item directly to the buyer’s address. You effectively don’t have to keep an inventory of your products and all you do is find the products and keep the difference when someone buys. This immediately intrigued me, but after doing more research, I discovered that dropshipping is against amazon's terms of service, so that ruled out any chance of me trying it. I was still intrigued by the idea and found out that if I bought the item from Walmart and sent it to myself, then sent it to the customer, that was perfectly “LEGAL”, based off of amazon's terms of service. Knowing if I found one or two good products that I could make thousands of, I spent a few hours searching for products manually, with no luck. I then remembered that I can code in python. I spent the next 2 or so weeks every day writing software that would compare amazon and Walmart prices to find products. Long story short, the software worked, but I never ended up using it. Somewhere along the way of my coding, I came across a video from the channel “Reezy Resells”. His videos introduced the concept of Retail Arbitrage to me. This is when you go into physical retail stores and go to clearance isles and find products that are marked down enough for you to make a profit selling on amazon. I was actually on vacation in Florida when I found out about this concept, so I spent the next multiple days watching videos about retail arbitrage on youtube from other creators. I also spent this time figuring out what I needed to start like software such as Inventory Labs and Keepa. When I got home, the fun begun. I went into Target and started scanning, but with no luck. I found things that had profit, but none that I was allowed to sell. I called it a day and went home. The next day I tried Marshalls and struck gold, or so I thought. I found these Hydrapak water bottles that were selling at marshalls for $12.99 and amazon for $39.99. I bought every single one they had on the shelf. I continued to find a few more products throughout the following days. On amazon, you are restricted in selling a lot of categories when you start off as a new seller, and this was a big problem I was facing. I was constantly finding things to sell that had a good return on investment, but I wasn't allowed to sell them due to amazon restricting me. I watched youtube tutorials on how to remove these restrictions and came across the website “The Funnel Guru” that claimed to un resttrict any seller in any category and brand. I chose the “Topicals, Toys, Grocery” category and I paid the website “$997” in bitcoin. I also paid an extra 200$ for them to unrestrict me. in a day, Little did I know this would be the worst decision I could have made. A few days passed by and they sent a request to amazon for me to get ungated. thankfully, it was denied and the website refunded me my money. I will explain later why this was the best thing that could have happened. While watching these videos on how to get un restricted, I also saw that you can get un restricted by buying from a wholesaler and submitting an invoice to amazon. I applied to multiple wholesale websites and got accepted to one called “Frontier Coop”. I placed an order for some Burt's bees, chapstik and tea to get ungated in “Burt's Bees”, “Topicals” and “Grocery”. The total order cost was $119.00.. The order came in a week later and I submitted the invoices to amazon and crossed my fingers. To my surprise, I was ungated. I now was able to sell things in the grocery and makeup section. this opened up a huge world of opportunities for me. This is also about the time my first amazon shipment reached amazon and was processed by Amazon. I was starting to see sales and, most importantly, profits. I was now coming to my local marshalls every day that I had free time after school. I also upgraded my in-store product scouting methods by buying a barcode scanner and an iPad. I was scanning hundreds of items per hour and finding alot of products. at this point. This is also about the time I found my best selling item, which was this: a microfiber hair towel. I bought it for $6.99 and sold it for $22.00.. I found 23 of them and bought them all. Keep in mind I was doing all of this on an electric bike and the distance from the marshalls to my house was 2 miles. The towels were all sold within the same day. I listed them. that day alone, I was able to hit 500$ in sales. This was huge for me. I realized that if I was able to find a few products like this from stores like Target that I can restok, I could be selling hundreds of dollar a day. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find anything else like this. After this happened, I decided I would focus on products that I could replenish, which means products that I can continually buy over and over for the same price. I decided to pay $69 a month to join a group chat that shares different finds like this with each other. This was also my second biggest mistake. Most of the things shared in this group are not helpful at all. Whenever someone would share an item they found, the other people in the group would start to sell it and, because of supply and demand, the price would end up tanking and you in turn would end up loosing money. It's possible that I didn't try enough, but I would say not to join any of these groups for the first couple of months of selling. This also leads to the first replenishable product. I found that I am still selling, so I can show you what it is. but I can tell you what I make from them. I buy the product for$ 6.99 flat. I then sell it for $22.99.. I make around an 8$ profit and sell multiple a day. That’s without listing optimization and I expect this to rise to 10 per day within the next few months. Thats $2,400 a month from one product. This leads me to why I'm stopping. this issue for me with Retail arbitrage is that it's not scalable. You have to put time into going out and sourcing to make money. It's not a get rich quick scheme or even a get rich scheme. This is because the amount of profit you make is proportional to the amount of time you put in. I prefer something that I can put time into once and simply maintain for an hour once a week. If you are thinking of starting a retail arbitrage store, you need to know that this business strategy does require real dedication of time, and it's just something that I can’t commit to with school. Now to the part you have all been waiting for: how much money I made? The simplest way possible to break it down would be Revenue, Cost of goods, FBA fees and selling fees, And if we do the math like this, we can see that in a month we have sold $3,912 in products and after all fees, we have profited over a thousand. This puts us at 75% return on investment. This is where most youtubers would stop, but this does not take alot of expenses into account, the biggest one being subscriptions. They will completely kill your profit t Now, if we look at the chart that accounts for expenses, we can see that the numbers are alot less appealing. I had $330 dollars in expenses and that took our return from investment from 75% down to 53%. Let's break down the hourly pay becau.

Dropshipping vs Amazon FBA - Was ist besser? | 2022

well, amazon drop shipping is an ecommerce business model where you sell physical products on amazon without having to deal with inventory, shipping, handling or customer service. so basically, amazon, your supplier, handles all the heavy lifting for you. when you make a sale on amazon, you simply notify your drop shipper and they ship your products directly to the amazon customer on your behalf. now, you don't touch a single product in the process. there's almost zero upfront costs outside of signing up for an amazon account, and you don't have to buy any inventory whatsoever until the item has been sold. now, the low risk aspect of drop shipping on amazon makes it an appealing business model because anyone can do it and you don't have to be tik savvy. to begin now, when evaluating the different e-commerce business models, amazon drop shipping is probably the easiest way to start selling online. now, is amazon drop shipping legal? and the answer is yes. however, you have to follow their rules, otherwise you risk getting banned and, according to amazon, drop shipping is allowed on their platform, but you must fulfill your goods from a legitimate wholesaler and not another retailer. now the following excerpt is actually taken verbatim from amazon's website. drop shipping, or allowing a third party to fill orders to customers on your behalf is generally acceptable. if you intend to fulfill orders using a drop shipper, you must always be the seller of record for your products, identify yourself as a sell of your products on all packing slips, invoices, external packaging and other info included or provided in connection. remove any packing slips, invoices, external packaging or other information identifying a third-party drop shipper prior to shipping the order, and be responsible for accepting and processing customer returns of your products. all right, so, with that definition in mind, here are examples of drop shipping that are not permitted: purchasing products from another retailer and having that retailer shipped directly to customers. if the shipment does not identify you as a seller of record or anyone other than you, then it's not permitted. you also cannot ship orders with packing slips, invoices, external packaging or other information indicating a seller name or contact information other than your own. as a result, the following ways to dropship on amazon are illegal: drop shipping from aliexpress to amazon: this is when you list a product on amazon and aliexpress does the fulfillment. drop shipping from ebay to amazon is also illegal. this is when you list a product on amazon and fulfill from ebay. in fact, the only legitimate way to run a reputable drop shipping business on amazon is to use a distributor or wholesaler as your dropship supplier. now, all shipments must be branded, with you as a seller of record, and you must remove any trace of drop shipping providers in your packing materials. in addition, amazon requires all drop ship sellers to abide by their strict code of conduct. if you consistently violate any of the following rules, you are subject to a suspension. your order defect rate must be less than one percent, your cancellation rate must be less than two point five percent and your late shipment rate must be less than four percent. now, if your drop ship supplier consistently ships products out late, then you risk getting your account banned. so how do you land your first drop shipping supplier? well, if you're looking for legit dropship suppliers, consider using the following methods. you can contact the distributor directly. every product sold online contains a upc barcode, and by looking up the manufacturer directly and contacting the distributor, you can ask whether they have a drop shipping program in place. you can also attend wholesale trade shows. everywhere in the world, there are wholesale trade shows catering to products in every category, and by attending a trade show. you can quickly and easily find dropship wholesalers all in one place. you can use a site like wholesalecentralcom to find trade shows in your area. you can also use a dropship directory, directories like worldwide brands, pre-vet, legit wholesale distributors that offer dropshipping. now, access to this directory comes at a one-time fee. now here are a list of questions that you must ask your drop ship supplier before you get started. are there any drop ship fees? drop shipping margins are very low and typically fall into the 10 to 30 percent range. on top of low margins, most drop ship suppliers will also charge a per order drop ship fee. now, this drop shipping fee can range anywhere from a couple bucks or more, depending on your product. in addition, you will have to pay the shipping and handling costs for the supplier to ship out your product to the end customer. now some drop shippers may pad their shipping fees to make additional margin on the transaction, so make sure you run the numbers to ensure that you can still make a profit after all drop shipping fees. are there any deposits or upfront payments required? some dropship suppliers will ask for a deposit towards future product orders upfront, but over time, as trust is established, you can often negotiate payment terms and have this deposit removed, but regardless, make sure you ask your supplier how they want to get paid. some require an invoice for every order, while others allow you to create one mass payment invoice at the end of the day. ask for a sample invoice so you can find out if there are any hidden or unexpected costs. do your homework. you also want to ask: do you sell on amazon? because some dropship suppliers are already selling their products on amazon, which puts your drop shipping business at a major disadvantage because your supplier has better pricing than you do. it's going to be difficult, if not impossible, to compete directly with your supplier. you also want to ask what your return policy is. returns are reality with any ecommerce business and you need to know how to get your money back for any returned orders. now, in practike, it can be quite an ordeal to handle return, and typically you'll have to file an rma with your supplier first and then have the customer ship the product back to your supplier directly, and then, once the product is received, your supplier then reserves the right to provide you with a refund, depending on the condition of the item. you also want to ask whether they provide an inventory data feed. because amazon's selling requirements are so strict, you have to make sure that your inventory levels are up to date in real time. after all, if you sell a bunch of items on amazon that are out of stok, you will have to cancel those orders and risk your account getting suspended and, in general y.

Amazon FBA For Beginners 2022 (Step by Step Tutorial)

hey everyone, welcome to the channel. my name is nate and in this tutorial, i'm going to be showing you, step-by-step, how to sell with amazon fba. now, quick note here: we're not selling you anything. there's no courses, there's no pitches. you don't have to worry about us going through here and just telling you to buy our- like- thousand dollar course. look, the truth is, you don't have to spend any money in order to learn how to do amazon fba. it's still very much alive and well in 2021 and we're going to show you everything that you need to know. this is a beginner's guide on amazon fba. we're going to give you as much information as possible in this video, so i recommend taking out a pen, taking out a piece of paper, taking some notes on this video. we'll leave some of the show notes down below, but, like i said, we have nothing here to sell you, so just enjoy this. uh, take some notes and i think it's gonna be of quite a bit of value for you. so let's get started here, uh, but it's important to note as well that this is not a get-rich-quick type of idea. uh, while this is still very much alive and well, we know people who are selling hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of products on amazon, and we've done this quite a bit ourselves, uh, but this is not a get rich quick scheme. okay, this is not something that tomorrow you're going to wake up and you're going to have 10 million dollars from selling products on amazon. this is very much a long process. so hopefully, if you're watching this video, it's with my hopes- that maybe you already have a job or you're already in school. you already have something going on, and what i want you to do is hopefully start to do something like this on the side right. start to build it up over time. you start to learn from your experiences, and this is the best way to go about this, rather than just trying to jump into it full time right off the bat, but rather build up over time, learn from your experiences over time, launch one product, then launch another one, then launch another one over the course of the next couple of months. that's what we would suggest doing, rather than just hitting it running and just going out and trying to uh make a ton of money within the next couple of weeks. it's gonna be really difficult to do that, and we don't to see you lose your shirt, uh, by getting in over your head too quickly, okay, so let's start here, uh, but first of all let's let's just discuss a couple of things that we're looking at here in in the big segments. first of all, we're going to look at how to find products. we're going to tok a little bit more about amazon, fba and essentially what it is, but then we're going to tok about how to find products right. how do you find products that have a lot of demand and not very much supply? i don't know if you've taken any type of economics courses or or studied economics, but you'll know that you want to be in the position where there's not very much supply but there's a lot of demand. we'll show you how to find those different types of products. there's a couple of great tikniques that we have for that- and then we'll tok about how to actually source those products right. how do we find the products that we can then go sell? how do we find manufacturers? should we deal with trading companies? should we go straight to the manufacturer? how do we get that over to america or wherever you're based in? and so we'll go over as much as we can in regards to sourcing products, buying those products. it sounds pretty scary- by maybe ordering pallets of products from some type of country on the other side of the world, but it can actually be a lot easier and simpler once you get the process rolling. so if at any point, you feel intimidated from this, just know that, uh, it's going to take some time, okay, but you take one step at a time, you start to build this knowledge, uh, and and you really can't win with this. so let's start off by understanding fulfillment by amazon. amazon fba- that's what it stands for. it's fulfillment by amazon. now, this is the most popular route for people who are selling on amazon, especially in 2021. there's also another option, though, if you don't want it fulfilled by amazon, meaning that amazon is actually shipping out the packages for you. you're not the one putting those packages in the mail. this is what you'll see with when people do amazon fba. you'll see this prime option as well. so they're shipping out from their warehouses. you're just the seller, so you're getting a cut there. this is a great move for most people, but there's also something called amazon fbm, which is fulfillment by merchant, which is, essentially: you can list something on amazon and then you can ship that product out yourself. you can totally do that. i actually know a lot of people who might prefer to do that when they first start off selling on amazon, and there's pros and cons to each one of these. now we'll be primarily toking about fba fulfillment by amazon, where they shipping announce, but we will touch on fbm a little bit on if you want to ship those products out yourself. now the pros and cons of each of these. it's important to understand this because with something like fba, maybe you'll save some time and actually you'll probably end up selling more. from our experience, selling more when you do fba because you have that prime shipping that's available in most cases amazon's shipping it for you, so it might end up saving you time as well. you don't have to run to the post office to ship those things out. the problem with amazon fba is that it can actually be a little bit more expensive because amazon does take quite a few fees and you'll notike that as a common theme throughout this: that amazon they take a lot of fees in a lot of different areas. this is not without good reason. i mean they are in a lot of cases promoting your product for you. the amazon search engine is the largest search engine for shopping in the world, so when people want to buy something, they go to amazon and amazon can promote this product for you. so it's great to have that on there now- fulfillment by merchant- just very quickly to run over this. it's probably going to save you some money in fees because you might be able to do this yourself. you don't have to pay all these various amazon fees. but we find that you actually end up don't selling as much and people really do want to have that prime two-day shipping included there. they don't wanna have to pay an extra five dollars and ninety-five cents for shipping. so we suggest going with fba if you can, especially if the margins are still there. we'll tok about profit margins in just a minute as well, but let's get into the section here where we tok about finding products. how the hell do we find a product to sell on amazon now? admittedly, it used to be a lot easier to find products with good profit margins five or ten years ago selling on amazon, but it's still very possible to find products like this. so one strategy that we could use, which is probably the beginner strategy, is just going through and randomly searching for things and kind of guessing. we used to do this actually way back when i used to sell a lot of products on ebay. what we would do is i i would, any time that i would buy something, i would look at the product cost and then i would go and try to source the product and i would try to compare that and just see if i could get it for a lower price. this isn't the best method, right, like if i go on here and maybe i'm i'm thinking about selling, uh, some type of- uh, you know, winter gloves, right, and i'm looking through here and i'm just trying to find something right, this is gonna be really difficult to just kind of go throughout this and find products without any type of software or any type of help, because who knows, you know, okay, this is selling for 16.95, but is it possible to tap into this? it has a lot of reviews. it's already at the top here. these are actually sponsored and so what we recommend doing is not just going through here and blindly guessing on products. this
