00:01:23 00:01:26 depending on what category that they're
00:01:24 00:01:28 in and how popular and how often that
00:01:26 00:01:32 product is selling so let's just look up

00:01:32 00:01:37 obviously this probably isn't a
00:01:34 00:01:38 top-selling book or anything so let's go
00:01:37 00:01:41 ahead and let's just click this right
00:01:38 00:01:44 here smart about presidents now the
00:01:41 00:01:48 sales ring for this is gonna be a little
00:01:44 00:01:50 bit higher 17,000 17,000 books it's do a
00:01:48 00:01:52 really really good sales rank now sales
00:01:50 00:01:54 rank it kind of determines just how one
00:01:52 00:01:57 health nut product is selling now
00:01:54 00:01:59 obviously a book that's ranked 17,000 is
00:01:57 00:02:00 gonna sell pretty quickly now when I
00:01:59 00:02:03 used to sell books and that recommended
00:02:00 00:02:05 people still stay under a 1 million
00:02:03 00:02:07 sales rank so I mean if a book was a
00:02:05 00:02:10 500,000 sales rank I would still go
00:02:07 00:02:13 after it but if a toy was a 500,000
00:02:10 00:02:13 sales rank I would not go for because it
00:02:13 00:02:16 would just it's just
00:02:13 00:02:17 gonna sell enough like throughout the
00:02:16 00:02:19 month throughout the year for me to
00:02:17 00:02:22 really be interested to invest you know
00:02:19 00:02:24 my time my money into trying to purchase
00:02:22 00:02:26 that product with the intention of
00:02:24 00:02:29 reselling it somewhat quickly back on
00:02:26 00:02:30 Amazon like I mentioned earlier there

00:02:30 00:02:35 product within each category on Amazon

00:02:42 00:02:46 category products with the same sales
00:02:44 00:02:48 rank are gonna produce a different sales
00:02:46 00:02:52 volume each month for example just go
00:02:48 00:02:54 ahead we go to jungle Scout and as you
00:02:52 00:02:55 can see on here this is actually a free
00:02:54 00:02:57 resource that you can use so just go to
00:02:55 00:03:00 jungle Scout calm there are the free
00:02:57 00:03:01 resources and this basically where you
00:03:00 00:03:03 can go and just get a quick
00:03:01 00:03:05 representation of like what the

00:03:10 00:03:16 rank in the baby category you're gonna
00:03:13 00:03:19 get an estimated 1400 sales per month if
00:03:16 00:03:21 you have a 1000 sales rank for your
00:03:19 00:03:24 product now if you're to have a 1000
00:03:21 00:03:29 sales rank and let's just say office
00:03:24 00:03:32 products you're gonna get an estimated
00:03:29 00:03:35 sales of 2130 I mean that's almost
00:03:32 00:03:37 double what the sales for a 1000 sales
00:03:35 00:03:40 track was in baby now let's just try a
00:03:37 00:03:44 10,000 sales record something in like
00:03:40 00:03:47 let's just say health and personal care
00:03:44 00:03:50 1000 sales rank gives you an estimated
00:03:47 00:03:51 383 sales per month now let's go to
00:03:50 00:03:54 ebooks try to find a books because
00:03:51 00:03:59 that's gonna be a lot different of a
00:03:54 00:04:02 rank so let's go 10,000 books is gonna
00:03:59 00:04:06 you'd you an estimated sales of around
00:04:02 00:04:10 the same 395 let's go to Pet Supplies
00:04:06 00:04:12 Pet Supplies is gonna be around 285 size
00:04:10 00:04:15 you can see it really depends on the
00:04:12 00:04:17 category some categories if you have the
00:04:15 00:04:19 same sales rank for your product in
00:04:17 00:04:21 different categories it's gonna be
00:04:19 00:04:23 different and that in the sales rank is
00:04:21 00:04:26 suddenly you really need to understand
00:04:23 00:04:27 if you're a beginner Amazon seller and
00:04:26 00:04:30 expert Amazon seller
00:04:27 00:04:32 a quick way of letting you know how you
00:04:30 00:04:36 can determine like how well in half and
00:04:32 00:04:36 that product is selling on Amazon

00:05:11 00:05:14 have to understand it doesn't matter

00:05:38 00:05:41 were really really high for our
00:05:39 00:05:43 electronic but for instance if I was
00:05:41 00:05:46 going and sourcing books like I used to
00:05:43 00:05:48 I would go all the way up to a 1 million
00:05:46 00:05:50 sales rank within the book category
00:05:48 00:05:51 because I know the book is eventually
00:05:50 00:05:53 gonna sell it's not gonna be too
00:05:51 00:05:55 competitive and I'd even go higher than
00:05:53 00:05:57 a 1 million sales rank like if there was
00:05:55 00:05:59 enough profit in the book if I was
00:05:57 00:06:01 willing to have that book sit in the
00:05:59 00:06:04 warehouse for months to a year to two
00:06:01 00:06:07 years if it's gonna yield me like 50 to
00:06:04 00:06:09 $100 profit now if it's gonna be a book
00:06:07 00:06:11 that's gonna make me 10 to 20 dollars
00:06:09 00:06:13 I'd like to keep it under a 1 million
00:06:11 00:06:15 sales rank but it really just depends I
00:06:13 00:06:17 mean when it comes to q4 which is based
00:06:15 00:06:19 at the last three months of the year
00:06:17 00:06:21 when everyone is buying you know for
00:06:19 00:06:23 Christmas everyone's buying for the
00:06:21 00:06:25 holidays you can increase that sales
00:06:23 00:06:28 wearing see no for toys I usually like
00:06:25 00:06:30 to stay under like a 75,000 to 100,000
00:06:28 00:06:30 sales rank I don't sell toys much
00:06:30 00:06:32 anymore
00:06:30 00:06:34 but when it comes to like q4 and
00:06:32 00:06:36 everyone's buying presents and stuff
00:06:34 00:06:37 like that everything's out of stok I
00:06:36 00:06:39 mean I'll go all the way it's like a two
00:06:37 00:06:40 hundred two hundred fifty thousand sales
00:06:39 00:06:42 right because that product is most
00:06:40 00:06:44 likely gonna sell because everyone is on
00:06:42 00:06:45 Amazon and everyone is one in that two
00:06:44 00:06:47 day prime shipping and everyone's
00:06:45 00:06:49 looking for toys for the children and
00:06:47 00:06:51 when it comes to sales writing during q4
00:06:49 00:06:53 like it really doesn't matter everything
00:06:51 00:06:56 is gonna be selling anyways that's it
