- Essential Everyday Waffles: We go through a lot of waffles. We like to have these on hand, especially for busy mornings. The kids like to just grab them and go. They don't need to put any syrup on them. They also love making ice cream sandwiches with them.
- Essential Everyday Honey Graham Crunch: This is a great substitute for Golden Grahams. It's sweet and crunchy, and you don't need milk. We use them as snacks for my daughters too. They're versatile and can be used in different ways.
- Culinary Circle Rising Crust Pizza: These pizzas are phenomenal. They're nice to have on hand for busy weekends with soccer games. The crust is crispy but not too rigid. There's a lot of sauce and five cheeses. The cheese blend they use is great.

County Market Coupon Crash Course Lesson #1: Building Coupon Stash
So, you've decided that you want to start saving money with coupon shopping. The first thing you're going to do is make a coupon match. What that means is you're going to take the ad from the grocery store, find out what's on sale, and then match it up to your coupons.
Bullet points or Numbered list (if needed):
- Find the ad from the grocery store
- Identify what's on sale
- Match the sale items with your coupons
Here's a good example for this week's ad: the disco products happen to be on sale for only $1.77 each. We're going to combine that with a newspaper coupon to save even more money.
Usually, our weekly ad offers savings of up to 25%. But by adding the manufacturer's coupon and making your match, you can save up to 50%. Our goal is to achieve maximum savings. If you save 50% on every item you purchase at the grocery store, you can save yourself up to a thousand dollars a year.
I make my coupon match every Wednesday. I take a look at every single item that's on sale. At County Market, we usually have between 150 and 200 items for sale every week. What I do is make a list of the items my family wants to save money on. Then, I go to my coupon stash and pull out the coupons that match up with the sale items.
You don't need anything fancy to do this. You can start off with an envelope, a newspaper insert, and a kitchen table. Just get your supplies out, make your list, pile up the coupons, and you're ready to start saving money.
Building your coupon stash is an important part of coupon shopping. Your stash is simply a big mash of coupons that you think you might want to use. You don't have to use them all. Every month, I have hundreds of coupons that I put into the expired pile. But as I shop every week, I look for coupons that I can add to my stash. It might be something I want to buy in the next 6 weeks.
For example, Kraft has a coupon for chair pads available this week. I might not want to purchase it today, but I might want to buy it in a couple of weeks. So, I'll take one coupon for myself. Take the amount of coupons that you think your family will redeem at County Market.
Another part of building your coupon stash is being able to look throughout the store for the coupons that you're going to use later on down the road. For example, hang tag coupons can be found on pickles, relishes, and salad dressings. They hang right over the top of the jar or bottle. Just pop them right off. I love these coupons because they don't expire until December 31st, 2016. That gives me many weeks to decide when to redeem them.
You'll also find coupons in the frozen department. These are peely coupons. Just peel them off and you're ready to redeem. Look for them on the side of the packaging. Another type of coupon to add to your stash is booklet coupons. They can be found in the middle of the aisle on special displays. Always look for your penny pincher booklet as well. These coupons stack up fast and save you quite a bit of money. Lastly, look for little coupons that come out of the liquor department that are good on food. They might not be good for purchasing liquor, but they can save you money on other items.
The fastest and easiest way to build your coupon stash is to pick up a Sunday paper. Look for the Smart Source or Red Plum inserts inside. These inserts are filled with coupons that you can use at the grocery store. Most couponers don't just pick up one paper on Sunday, they pick up two to three papers at a time. They then clip their coupons and build them into their stash so that when their items go on sale, they have plenty of coupons to use.
In conclusion, coupon shopping is a great way to save money. By making a coupon match, building your coupon stash, and being strategic in your shopping, you can save up to thousands of dollars a year. So, get your supplies out, start making your list, and begin your money-saving journey today!
