| 00:01:02 | 00:01:06 | shopify store i paid somebody on fiverr |

| 00:01:33 | 00:01:37 | uh and mind you this was my first time |
| 00:01:35 | 00:01:40 | at doing anything online so |
| 00:01:37 | 00:01:40 | i knew nothing about marketing facebook |

| 00:01:40 | 00:01:44 | facebook groups none of that so i |
| 00:01:43 | 00:01:46 | launched a store |
| 00:01:44 | 00:01:49 | uh as you can probably imagine i didn't |
| 00:01:46 | 00:01:51 | get basically any sales at all |
| 00:01:49 | 00:01:52 | i tried teaching myself facebook ads |
| 00:01:51 | 00:01:54 | tried a few other little |
| 00:01:52 | 00:01:56 | kind of things to figure out how to sell |
| 00:01:54 | 00:01:58 | things and i just couldn't do it so |
| 00:01:56 | 00:02:00 | i found this guy on instagram who did it |
| 00:01:58 | 00:02:02 | had a program |
| 00:02:00 | 00:02:04 | i still does i think but where he does |
| 00:02:02 | 00:02:07 | sort of a business in a box |
| 00:02:04 | 00:02:08 | but with shopify stores but not near to |
| 00:02:07 | 00:02:10 | the extent but i paid a thousand bucks |
| 00:02:08 | 00:02:12 | for this program |
| 00:02:10 | 00:02:14 | and he built your store and he basically |
| 00:02:12 | 00:02:16 | tells you how to do everything |
| 00:02:14 | 00:02:19 | uh to run it and be successful and it |
| 00:02:16 | 00:02:19 | took about uh three weeks to get the |
| 00:02:19 | 00:02:22 | store |
| 00:02:19 | 00:02:25 | and then um as soon as i got it |
| 00:02:22 | 00:02:28 | i realized it needed about a thousand |
| 00:02:25 | 00:02:29 | hours worth of work to fix everything |
| 00:02:28 | 00:02:31 | um because he's not the one actually |
| 00:02:29 | 00:02:33 | building it's somebody in |
| 00:02:31 | 00:02:36 | you know somewhere else in the world so |
| 00:02:33 | 00:02:39 | half of the wording dropship |
| 00:02:36 | 00:02:42 | drops servicing you yes exactly so he's |
| 00:02:39 | 00:02:45 | going to the guy on fiverr |
| 00:02:42 | 00:02:48 | yeah yeah so i needed tons of work um |
| 00:02:45 | 00:02:48 | that i just i didn't know how to do and |
| 00:02:48 | 00:02:50 | uh |
| 00:02:48 | 00:02:52 | it ended up just being a total flop |
| 00:02:50 | 00:02:55 | waste of money |
| 00:02:52 | 00:02:56 | i got super discouraged from this guy |
| 00:02:55 | 00:02:57 | and and so |
| 00:02:56 | 00:02:59 | i just said you know what i'm gonna just |
| 00:02:57 | 00:03:02 | do another store |
| 00:02:59 | 00:03:05 | um so over about a six month period i |
| 00:03:02 | 00:03:08 | had i think five shopify stores |
| 00:03:05 | 00:03:10 | um all of them looked really good |
| 00:03:08 | 00:03:11 | but again just didn't really make any |
| 00:03:10 | 00:03:13 | money um |
| 00:03:11 | 00:03:15 | because i just didn't know what i was |
| 00:03:13 | 00:03:17 | doing i didn't and i didn't know anybody |
| 00:03:15 | 00:03:18 | doing it i tried to reach out to people |
| 00:03:17 | 00:03:21 | online that i thought |
| 00:03:18 | 00:03:24 | might know but i have no |
| 00:03:21 | 00:03:27 | contacts of anybody who does this |
| 00:03:24 | 00:03:30 | and so about in uh september |
| 00:03:27 | 00:03:31 | i said screw this you know what i'm done |
| 00:03:30 | 00:03:32 | this is ridiculous like i don't know how |
| 00:03:31 | 00:03:35 | people actually do this |
| 00:03:32 | 00:03:35 | and um so for about a month i did |
| 00:03:35 | 00:03:37 | nothing |
| 00:03:35 | 00:03:39 | i just was kind of doing my own thing |
| 00:03:37 | 00:03:42 | working as a nurse |
| 00:03:39 | 00:03:43 | not doing anything online and then click |
| 00:03:42 | 00:03:46 | funnels |
| 00:03:43 | 00:03:49 | got me hooked into some of their uh |
| 00:03:46 | 00:03:50 | stuff and i bought dot com secrets which |
| 00:03:49 | 00:03:51 | is |
| 00:03:50 | 00:03:54 | one of the best books i've ever had in |
| 00:03:51 | 00:03:55 | my life and then i joined the one funnel |
| 00:03:54 | 00:03:57 | away challenge |
| 00:03:55 | 00:03:59 | and that was where things kind of really |
| 00:03:57 | 00:04:02 | changed for me and i thought this is |
| 00:03:59 | 00:04:02 | incredible um but one of the things that |
| 00:04:02 | 00:04:05 | i |
| 00:04:02 | 00:04:07 | i learned um in the one funnel away |
| 00:04:05 | 00:04:10 | challenge was |
| 00:04:07 | 00:04:12 | that the only way to be successful is |
| 00:04:10 | 00:04:14 | connecting with other people you can't |
| 00:04:12 | 00:04:16 | do everything on your own |
| 00:04:14 | 00:04:18 | you can't try to learn everything on |
| 00:04:16 | 00:04:20 | your own and |
| 00:04:18 | 00:04:21 | you need help to do different things |
| 00:04:20 | 00:04:23 | unless you have |
| 00:04:21 | 00:04:24 | all the time in the world and money is |
| 00:04:23 | 00:04:27 | no object for you |
| 00:04:24 | 00:04:28 | which is i don't think most people and |

| 00:04:30 | 00:04:33 | and kind of i |
| 00:04:31 | 00:04:35 | tried to dabble in some affiliate |
| 00:04:33 | 00:04:36 | marketing stuff |
| 00:04:35 | 00:04:38 | and just realized that wasn't what i |
| 00:04:36 | 00:04:41 | wanted to do that i really wanted to |
| 00:04:38 | 00:04:42 | have a store and i've been following you |
| 00:04:41 | 00:04:44 | for about six months and some of the |
| 00:04:42 | 00:04:47 | stuff that you were doing |
| 00:04:44 | 00:04:49 | um and so i just said you know what |
| 00:04:47 | 00:04:50 | screw it i'm gonna do it i this is kind |
| 00:04:49 | 00:04:52 | of my last |
| 00:04:50 | 00:04:53 | hurrah if this doesn't work then i'm |

| 00:04:53 | 00:04:58 | um but i can prove to anybody that it |
| 00:04:56 | 00:05:00 | actually does work so it's pretty |
| 00:04:58 | 00:05:02 | much pretty amazing so so kind of like |

| 00:05:20 | 00:05:25 | your free facebook group and i just was |
| 00:05:23 | 00:05:27 | watching how people |
| 00:05:25 | 00:05:28 | interacted with each other and the |
| 00:05:27 | 00:05:30 | people that are there |
| 00:05:28 | 00:05:32 | really want to be there and they really |
| 00:05:30 | 00:05:33 | want to help each other they're |
| 00:05:32 | 00:05:35 | they're all in the same boat right |
| 00:05:33 | 00:05:36 | they're all trying to build a business |
| 00:05:35 | 00:05:39 | or a funnel or |
| 00:05:36 | 00:05:40 | um you know figure out email automation |
| 00:05:39 | 00:05:41 | or |
| 00:05:40 | 00:05:42 | whatever reason they're there they're |
| 00:05:41 | 00:05:43 | all there for kind of the same purposes |
| 00:05:42 | 00:05:45 | to build their |
| 00:05:43 | 00:05:47 | their business and so i've i had never |
| 00:05:45 | 00:05:49 | found a community like that where |
| 00:05:47 | 00:05:49 | everybody was like super engaged with |
| 00:05:49 | 00:05:53 | each other |
| 00:05:49 | 00:05:55 | and um and i'd been engaged in several |
| 00:05:53 | 00:05:56 | click funnels groups where it was like |
| 00:05:55 | 00:05:57 | that |
| 00:05:56 | 00:05:59 | and this was the first ecommerce phone |
| 00:05:57 | 00:06:00 | where i actually felt like people were |
| 00:05:59 | 00:06:04 | really genuine |
| 00:06:00 | 00:06:06 | and you were interacting with people um |
| 00:06:04 | 00:06:07 | ali was interacting with people and so i |
| 00:06:06 | 00:06:09 | could see that |
| 00:06:07 | 00:06:10 | it's not just like some random group |
| 00:06:09 | 00:06:12 | where there's just a bunch of people |
| 00:06:10 | 00:06:13 | toking about business this is actually |
| 00:06:12 | 00:06:14 | a group where people are helping each |
| 00:06:13 | 00:06:16 | other |
| 00:06:14 | 00:06:17 | and so that's where i kind of first got |
| 00:06:16 | 00:06:18 | hooked was there's there's a real |
| 00:06:17 | 00:06:22 | community of people |
| 00:06:18 | 00:06:25 | that love doing this |
| 00:06:22 | 00:06:27 | and deep down i i wanted to get to a |
| 00:06:25 | 00:06:28 | point where i could actually contribute |
| 00:06:27 | 00:06:31 | and help people |
| 00:06:28 | 00:06:32 | and not having a business of my own like |
| 00:06:31 | 00:06:34 | that |
| 00:06:32 | 00:06:35 | obviously i have no credibility to be |
| 00:06:34 | 00:06:37 | able to help anybody |
| 00:06:35 | 00:06:38 | and so that's kind of where it all |
| 00:06:37 | 00:06:41 | started whereas i found this group |
| 00:06:38 | 00:06:42 | of real genuine people um and i wanted |
| 00:06:41 | 00:06:44 | to be a part of it |
| 00:06:42 | 00:06:46 | yeah it's interesting man like um you |
| 00:06:44 | 00:06:47 | know one thing i notiked about you is |
| 00:06:46 | 00:06:48 | like you're always chiming in you're |
| 00:06:47 | 00:06:51 | always |
| 00:06:48 | 00:06:52 | helping people in our facebook groups um |
| 00:06:51 | 00:06:53 | you're always showing up you're asking |
| 00:06:52 | 00:06:54 | questions right so |
| 00:06:53 | 00:06:56 | like that's like one of the you know a |
| 00:06:54 | 00:06:57 | lot of people ask like what's the |
| 00:06:56 | 00:06:58 | difference with you know these people |
| 00:06:57 | 00:07:00 | that don't hit it and then the people |
| 00:06:58 | 00:07:02 | that hit the 10k club quickly like |
| 00:07:00 | 00:07:04 | it really is like just showing up every |
| 00:07:02 | 00:07:05 | day and about the best ways to learn |
| 00:07:04 | 00:07:06 | look i don't think a lot of people |
| 00:07:05 | 00:07:07 | realize this but one of the best ways to |
| 00:07:06 | 00:07:10 | learn is to |
| 00:07:07 | 00:07:11 | help other people right so like you can |
| 00:07:10 | 00:07:13 | take a nugget like that maybe you learn |
| 00:07:11 | 00:07:14 | from from me |
| 00:07:13 | 00:07:16 | and then like share it with somebody |
| 00:07:14 | 00:07:17 | else but you put your own unique spin on |
| 00:07:16 | 00:07:19 | it right and explain it right |
| 00:07:17 | 00:07:21 | so it's always it's always important to |
| 00:07:19 | 00:07:22 | make sure you're kind of interacting |
| 00:07:21 | 00:07:23 | with other people helping other people |
| 00:07:22 | 00:07:24 | because you know |
| 00:07:23 | 00:07:26 | at least where i'm from like you know i |
| 00:07:24 | 00:07:27 | don't have a huge group of you know |
| 00:07:26 | 00:07:29 | you know about seven figure |
| 00:07:27 | 00:07:30 | entrepreneurs right so you kind of have |
| 00:07:29 | 00:07:31 | to create these communities or join |
| 00:07:30 | 00:07:34 | these communities |
| 00:07:31 | 00:07:35 | uh online for yourself um so definitely |
| 00:07:34 | 00:07:36 | you know i appreciate that you know i i |
| 00:07:35 | 00:07:37 | see you |
| 00:07:36 | 00:07:39 | answering questions in there and that's |
| 00:07:37 | 00:07:41 | that you're doing everything right |
| 00:07:39 | 00:07:43 | you know obviously that our business in |
| 00:07:41 | 00:07:44 | a box is is a big investment so i have |
| 00:07:43 | 00:07:46 | to ask right like when you |
| 00:07:44 | 00:07:48 | have you told like your friends or |
| 00:07:46 | 00:07:50 | family like oh i found this guy on the |
| 00:07:48 | 00:07:54 | internet |
| 00:07:50 | 00:07:56 | so um one of the mistakes that i made |
| 00:07:54 | 00:07:59 | before with the shopify stores was |
| 00:07:56 | 00:08:00 | i was so excited to do it i felt like i |
| 00:07:59 | 00:08:03 | had to tell everybody |
| 00:08:00 | 00:08:04 | the the first shopify store i mean i |
| 00:08:03 | 00:08:07 | just invited every one of my facebook |
| 00:08:04 | 00:08:09 | friends to like my store |
| 00:08:07 | 00:08:12 | which to you know looking back now is |
| 00:08:09 | 00:08:14 | like the worst mistake ever because |
| 00:08:12 | 00:08:15 | first off it wasn't really any kind of |
| 00:08:14 | 00:08:17 | store |
| 00:08:15 | 00:08:18 | and second of all everybody's like what |
| 00:08:17 | 00:08:21 | the heck is this |
| 00:08:18 | 00:08:22 | you know and but what i learned over the |
| 00:08:21 | 00:08:24 | months was |
| 00:08:22 | 00:08:26 | until you can actually show that what |
| 00:08:24 | 00:08:28 | you're doing is working and |
| 00:08:26 | 00:08:30 | and it may and you can explain it in a |
| 00:08:28 | 00:08:32 | way that makes sense to people |
| 00:08:30 | 00:08:33 | all you get is negativity uh even with |
| 00:08:32 | 00:08:35 | fan like family |
| 00:08:33 | 00:08:37 | close family extended family the more |
| 00:08:35 | 00:08:39 | that i was explaining what i was doing |
| 00:08:37 | 00:08:41 | the more they were like what this is |
| 00:08:39 | 00:08:43 | like why are you wasting your time why |
| 00:08:41 | 00:08:45 | are you wasting your money this is |
| 00:08:43 | 00:08:47 | insane you know and at first the only |
| 00:08:45 | 00:08:49 | thing is well i saw all these guys on |
| 00:08:47 | 00:08:51 | youtube and they're making boatloads of |
| 00:08:49 | 00:08:53 | money and they're having tons of success |
| 00:08:51 | 00:08:54 | and they love what they're doing |
| 00:08:53 | 00:08:56 | and they're like have you met any of |
| 00:08:54 | 00:08:59 | them like in person well no but |
| 00:08:56 | 00:09:00 | you know but they're doing it you know |
| 00:08:59 | 00:09:02 | they're like how do you know |
| 00:09:00 | 00:09:04 | well i guess i really don't you know and |
| 00:09:02 | 00:09:07 | anyway so |
| 00:09:04 | 00:09:08 | i decided right before i uh bought into |
| 00:09:07 | 00:09:09 | this program that |
| 00:09:08 | 00:09:11 | the only person i was gonna tell was my |
| 00:09:09 | 00:09:13 | wife and |
| 00:09:11 | 00:09:15 | she's my biggest support in all this |
| 00:09:13 | 00:09:18 | which has been super helpful but |
| 00:09:15 | 00:09:19 | i just one of the things that i decided |
| 00:09:18 | 00:09:22 | early on when |
| 00:09:19 | 00:09:25 | right after i did the initial call um |
| 00:09:22 | 00:09:26 | about the boxing the business in a box |
| 00:09:25 | 00:09:29 | program |
| 00:09:26 | 00:09:32 | was that i i needed to be 100 focused |
| 00:09:29 | 00:09:34 | i was going to give it 100 of my effort |
| 00:09:32 | 00:09:37 | and i couldn't afford to have |
| 00:09:34 | 00:09:38 | anybody tell me that it's not going to |
| 00:09:37 | 00:09:39 | work |
| 00:09:38 | 00:09:41 | you know it's interesting man like i |
| 00:09:39 | 00:09:42 | wish it wasn't like that |
| 00:09:41 | 00:09:44 | you know because like a lot of people |
| 00:09:42 | 00:09:46 | it's like it it |
| 00:09:44 | 00:09:47 | sucks and i never understood why like |
| 00:09:46 | 00:09:49 | even you know |
| 00:09:47 | 00:09:51 | because it's you know especially with |
| 00:09:49 | 00:09:52 | your friends and family right they know |
| 00:09:51 | 00:09:54 | a version of you |
| 00:09:52 | 00:09:56 | right that's like complacent right |
| 00:09:54 | 00:09:56 | because most people are most people kind |
| 00:09:56 | 00:09:58 | of |
| 00:09:56 | 00:10:00 | wrote the day and the day of the cycle |
| 00:09:58 | 00:10:01 | so when you try and like break that |
| 00:10:00 | 00:10:03 | chain and go do your own thing you know |
| 00:10:01 | 00:10:04 | most people are like well why are you |
| 00:10:03 | 00:10:05 | doing that |
| 00:10:04 | 00:10:06 | right like oh do you think you're better |
| 00:10:05 | 00:10:08 | like you take this like and they don't |
| 00:10:06 | 00:10:10 | they don't look at it that way and |
| 00:10:08 | 00:10:12 | unfortunately what's up like really |
| 00:10:10 | 00:10:13 | sucks about it is like most people kind |
| 00:10:12 | 00:10:14 | of want you to fail |
| 00:10:13 | 00:10:16 | so you kind of go back to the person |
| 00:10:14 | 00:10:18 | they they see you as |
| 00:10:16 | 00:10:19 | but you know us as entrepreneurs right |
| 00:10:18 | 00:10:21 | we're always striving to be better and |
| 00:10:19 | 00:10:22 | like a lot of people i'll tell you i |
| 00:10:21 | 00:10:25 | mean i see this all the time but just |
| 00:10:22 | 00:10:26 | even my friends and family is like they |
| 00:10:25 | 00:10:27 | don't like that |
| 00:10:26 | 00:10:29 | right because it's like oh do you think |
| 00:10:27 | 00:10:30 | you're better and not that you're put |
| 00:10:29 | 00:10:32 | projecting that that kind of |
| 00:10:30 | 00:10:34 | yeah but it's like they just |
| 00:10:32 | 00:10:35 | subconsciously like oh he's achieving |
| 00:10:34 | 00:10:37 | all of this stuff |
| 00:10:35 | 00:10:38 | you know why can't i right like there's |
| 00:10:37 | 00:10:41 | a lot of those kind of things |
| 00:10:38 | 00:10:42 | in there you know it's a tough you know |
| 00:10:41 | 00:10:43 | pillar to swallow you know i could you |
| 00:10:42 | 00:10:45 | know just like you |
| 00:10:43 | 00:10:46 | you know my wife's my biggest supporter |
| 00:10:45 | 00:10:47 | too so it's always important to have |
| 00:10:46 | 00:10:49 | somebody like that |
| 00:10:47 | 00:10:51 | and then also like a community right |
| 00:10:49 | 00:10:53 | like like like you said like it |
| 00:10:51 | 00:10:54 | and me too right like having an online |
| 00:10:53 | 00:10:56 | you know maybe you're not |
| 00:10:54 | 00:10:58 | necessarily meeting these people in real |
| 00:10:56 | 00:10:59 | life uh you know |
| 00:10:58 | 00:11:01 | unless you're going to the live events |
| 00:10:59 | 00:11:03 | and stuff but it's important to like |
| 00:11:01 | 00:11:04 | have people that you can tok to because |
| 00:11:03 | 00:11:06 | like it's business it's tough right like |
| 00:11:04 | 00:11:08 | there's gonna be roadblocks and road |
| 00:11:06 | 00:11:09 | bumps and like if you go to your friends |
| 00:11:08 | 00:11:10 | and family and tell that |
