inventory, no branded packaging, amongst other things. so today i'm going to be giving you a full tutorial of what i believe to be the best drop shipping supplier out there at the moment: cj drop shipping. in today's full length tutorial, i'm going to be showing you how to connect your shopify and woocommerce stores to cj drop shipping. i'm going to be showing you how to import products to your stores from cj drop shipping. i'm going to be showing you how to set up branded packaging so that you can drop ship your products with your logo on without having a massive budget, how to source custom content for the products that you plan on selling using cj's videography and photography services, and how to fulfill orders using cj drop shipping. so if you've been looking for a more reliable drop shipping supplier that's going to allow you to offer faster shipping times- usually around 10 days- international shipping- and allow you to go and drop ship your products with branded packaging to give your customers that branded feel, then this is going to be the tutorial for you. so let's get started. so the first thing you are going to do is head over to cj drop shipping. so i will leave a link in the description and you should come over to the cd drop shipping home page now. from here, all we are going to do is click on register. all you then need to do is enter in your email and pick a password, then just go and agree to the terms and conditions and click on next. once you do this, you are now signed up with cj dropshipping. now, the first thing that we are going to do, we are just going to go over to my cj and we are going to go and connect our store. so firstly, i am going to show you how to connect a shopify store to your cj drop shipping account, and then i'm going to show you how to connect a woocommerce store. so if you are running a woocommerce store, you can just skip to the next part of the tutorial. i will leave the timestamps down in the description below. so once you click on my cj, you will come over to the cj drop shipping dashboard and from here we can go and connect our shopify store. so you will see these tabs down the left-hand side, so just go to the bottom one and then you're going to go and click on shopify now from here, just going to go and click on add stores. now, from here, you're just going to enter in your store name. but if you head over to your store, you're only entering this part of your name in. so just a bit where before it says myshopifycom. so just go and copy that. you don't need the https or anything like that, so we're just going to go and paste that in there and then you just go and click on authorize. once you click on authorize, it will bring you over to your store and from here it's going to ask you to install the cj drop shipping app. so just go and click on install app. it will then say authorization success. so now your shopify store is connected to your cj drop shipping account so you can start importing products from cj drop shipping and any orders that are made through will be connected so that you can go and fulfill them automatikally. so now i'm going to go and show you how you can go and connect your woocommerce store to your cj drop shipping account. for those of you using shopify, you could just skip to the next part of the tutorial, where i show you how to import products. so once again, i'll leave the timestamps in the description below. so, if you want to connect your woocommerce store once again, you're just going to head to my cj and from your cj drop shipping dashboard, you're going to go to the left hand side and you're going to click on woocommerce. now from here, just going to go and click on add stores. now, once you click on this, there are a few things that we need to follow through in order to connect your woocommerce store to your cj drop shipping account. so just head over to your woocommerce website and the first thing is we're just going to copy the url, so just go and copy this, and we're going to go and paste this in here, but get rid of the https, so it's just going to be your store, and get rid of any slashes at the end as well, so it's just going to be like that. next up, we need to find the consumer key and the consumer secret. so head over to your wordpress dashboard and what you're going to do is you're going to click on woocommerce, then you're going to click on settings, then, under settings, you're going to go to advanced. so click on advanced and then just scroll down and you're going to click on rest api. now, from here, we're going to go and click on add key. once you click on add key, just scroll down and you're going to see description, so you can just go and call this cj drop shipping. now, when it comes to permissions, you're going to want to give, read and write permissions and then click on generate. once you generate that key, you will now see the consumer key. so we're going to go and hit copy on this head back to your cj drop shipping dashboard and paste this in here, and then you're going to see the consumer secret. so, once again, copy this head back to cj drop shipping and paste this in here. and now. once you have done that, the last step is to go and install this shipment tracking plugin. so we're going to go back to our wordpress dashboard. then all we're going to do is go to plugins and click on add new and then, where it says search plugins, we're just going to go and type in shipment tracking and then you're just going to install this plugin here- advanced shipment tracking. so just go and click on install now and then you're just going to go and click on activate once the plugin has finished activating, we can just head back to our cj dashboard and click on authorize. it should then say authorization successful. so now your woocommerce store is connected to your cj drop shipping account. so now we can go and start importing some products. so in order to start importing some products, we are just going to go back to the cda dropshipping homepage. so just click on the cj dropshipping logo and we can come to the home page. now, from here you can go and search for thousands of different products, and cj drop shipping have warehouses all over the world. so wherever you want to ship to, it doesn't really matter. you can import a product and you should be able to go and ship to any country in a fairly quick time. so you can go and look through all of the different categories and think about what type of product that you want to sell, depending on what your store is. and if we scroll down over here, they have some other cool things. so you see some trending products. you'll see some new products that they've just got in hot selling categories, and then you can go and look at the different global warehouses. so they've got a us warehouse, germany warehouse, and then, if we scroll down once more, you can see some products that have some cool videos. you can see that they have print-on-demand products and then they have these over here, which is really cool. so you can see these are trending, viral products. so if you click on internet famous, you will see products that are going viral on facebook and on tiktok and on other different social media platforms. so, for example, if we just click on hot products on tiktok, you will see this category here with some products that are doing really well on tiktok. so once you have found a product that you want to import to your store, you just need to click on the product. from here you will see all of the information about the product, including the price and which warehouse it is shipping from. now, don't worry if it is shipping from the chinese warehouse, which a lot of the so it's been months since my last youtube video and- my apologies, i have been mia. i've been trying to figure out the small business life. it's been a struggle it's. it's had its ups and downs- great days, low days, uh- but this time around i wanted to tok about drop shipping. so i got a bit into drop shipping for the past couple months and i've just been trying to figure it out and, to be completely honest with you, um, this is my experience with it. by the way, this: if you have had an amazing experience with drop shipping, then by all means yay for you, but for me it has been nothing but a struggle. in the beginning i was very optimistik. i was like you know, there's so many people that do it, it does work for them, so let me try. but i feel like my niche. it just wasn't necessarily working for me and with my niche i feel like it's better to buy in bulk and then promote that product, resell that product. so, basically, the company that i was using to dropship my items- they were cj drop shipping and it's pretty cheap, pretty easy to use in comparison with a lot of the other companies out there- and they already had their items basically in their warehouse. they said, whereas other items would be sourced or other companies would source for you, and then let you know. okay, we found it, this is how much it's gonna be and, yeah, so you can drop ship those items now with cj drop shipping. i, they had like a whole bunch of items already looked through, so i would look through those items which would fit my niche, which is basically y2k accessories, handbags, jewelries, um, like you know, fun fashion type things. so, anyways, they had a lot of items and at first it was just a deer in headlights. i literally put thousands of items on my website because i was super excited and, yes, finally i'm getting somewhere with my business without having to buy inventory. however, um, i got lost in the sauce. there was just too much to handle, so i basically slimmed it down to nothing. basically, i brought it down to maybe a couple hundred items, which, when you think about it, it seems a lot, but you have to take into consideration each item might come in a different color, like a bag will come in like six different colors. so, before you know it, you have- you know what i mean- like hundreds of the same items. so, neither here nor there. my point is that with the drop shipping, my biggest issues were the speed of the shipping. okay, one was the speed of the shipping. second was the communication- we're speaking two different languages- and third was the time difference. first of all, when we're waking up, living our best lives, they're going to their beds, so to speak, to the agents. it was a struggle as well. what other issues were there? um? fourth was the packaging. um, so you'd have to, you could um customize your own packaging, right, but of course that comes with this fee, which wasn't very expensive at all. it's actually inexpensive, but sometimes it would get lost in translation what you wanted to be on the packages, how much packages you wanted. the website itself for adding items to your store was amazing, but when it came to customizing things- or, for example, if i wanted on my website, so if i wanted a custom necklace, so see, i have here- it says tilly, if i wanted a custom necklace and i wanted the window to pop up on my shopify store, customize this necklace. um, what they would have like a design it button, and when you went into the design, it would be a picture of a lady already with a necklace on. and then when you type in your the name that you wanted on the necklace, it would just be typing block letters over her chest. it wouldn't be, you know, out of preferred if it was just a blank white, nothing, you know background, and then it would be typing the names instead of her already having, like, lucy on her necklace, and then you're typing isabella on her neck. like wasn't working for me. i didn't like how that looked. i thought that looked very ghetto, so i ended up just taking down anything that could be customized, because why bother? and then i even thought to maybe not have any integration or have anything linked directly to my website from cj and then i would just post the items that i did like and then i would, in return, go on cg drop shipping website and order it myself and then put in their address and then send it to them. but then when i did it like that- oh, we can't add your personalized packaging. blah, blah, blah, because you did it that way. okay, no issues. and then another issue, um, i found was with their customer service. some of the people that i spoke to and i felt like i was a different person every time. i had my own agent, but she was kind of hard to get a hold of. my first agent that i started out with was amazing. her name was janet, i think, but that probably i don't even know if that's her name. they just have these names, right. um, but yeah, she was amazing, she did everything i needed. but then she was like: oh well, now i have to pass you on to another agent, because you know those are the rules. and i'm like: no, where are you going? we're good. and she's like: no, unfortunately, your next one will be- i'm not gonna actually give any more names because that's just disrespectful if this is their real names- but the next one, let's say her name- was melissa. melissa was terrible. melissa was disrespectful the way she spoke to me and little things. like melissa, i need this done. well, sorry, it can't be done, but you did it last week, yeah, but last week was different. i'm not doing it this week. like you know what i mean. like how dare you tok to me like that if i'm your customer, i'm paying for the product, but anyways, um, and then melissa every week would be like: hey, can you um go and give me a rating? or go and um rate us and give us reviews on whatever google, um, what's it called trustpilot? and i'd be like, no, because if i leave a review it's gonna be a bad one. so, anyways, i digress. so those are the basically the main issues that i had. so again going back to the first issue. so i said shipping was slow, okay, shipping. i would say, um, some people would be like, okay, but i want express okay. and i would say, okay, let's go with dhl. dhl is supposed to arrive in three to seven business days, okay. and i know you're like, okay, well, that's not really express seven, yeah, but it comes. it's coming from china, so three to seven business days give or take. they would sit on that order. so a week would go by. i'm like: what's going on? why is this order now? oh, it's still processing. what am i supposed to tell the customer that has now paid the extra money for express shipping? annoying as heck. regular shipping. now they have cj ordinary, they have jewel ship. jewel ship, i found, was the fastest someone ordered with through, and i've used jewel ship and literally they got it in like four or five days, which was amazing. but when it came to ordinary or anything else, it was literally three weeks every single time. so i first started notiking with the first couple orders, first couple orders we're going through- and it'll be like, hey, why hasn't this shipped yet? oh, it takes us seven days to process why? and then another two weeks for them to actually for the the customer to actually get their product. so a lot of customers would be asking: where's my item? where's my item? where's my item? so then of course i'm new to shopify so i decide to um add like a clock, like a, a countdown: if you order by this day, you'll get it by this date. so they kind of know that shipping takes about 10 to 21 days, right. so i had less problems there, because now people knew, um, the issues, right, and. but then i still had like one or two people messaging me saying, hey, um, i've been tracking my order, uh. but i'm like conflict and you know when you you're you're looking for the tracking through cj, like you see a lot of chinese characters and whatever. so i decided to add another app to my shopify, which was my own personal tracking page, so then people could see, okay, it's left this airport, now it's arrived in canada, or it's arrived in the us, and okay, now it's on the delivery truck.
