How to Avoid Copyright Designs the EASY WAY...😀
How to Avoid Trademark Issues in Your Print on Demand Business
In this video, Nate discusses the importance of avoiding trademark and copyright issues in your print on demand business. He offers tips on how to handle these issues if they arise and provides advice on how to avoid them in the first place.
Avoid Clear Branded Items:
One of the easiest ways to avoid trademark issues is to stay away from clear branded items such as sports teams, cartoons, TV shows, movies, and famous people. By avoiding these, you set yourself up for a longer-term business.
Know What is Trademarked:
To avoid using copyrighted materials, it is important to know what is trademarked. This includes basic things such as TV and movies, but there are many other niches, hobbies, trends, and holidays that you can explore.
Use Reverse Image Lookup:
If you are not sure if a design is copyrighted, you can use a reverse image lookup to see if it is found elsewhere online. This will help you determine if it is safe to use or not.
Use FreePick for Graphics:
FreePick is a website that offers free graphics and vectors that you can use on your products. However, be sure to read the terms of service carefully to avoid violating copyright laws.
By following these tips, you can avoid trademark and copyright issues in your print on demand business. It is important to be careful and diligent in sourcing your graphics and designs to avoid legal issues.
How to Not Get SUED When Dropshipping (w/ Aliexpress & Shopify)
Hey guys, today I'm going to talk about how to protect yourself from being sued when dropshipping. I've received a lot of questions about this topic recently, so I wanted to address them. In this article, I will answer the following questions:
1. Will you be sued if you use AliExpress product images that suppliers have publicly posted?
2. How can you stop yourself from being sued for using copyright images?
3. Can you sell products from AliExpress that have trademarks on them?
Can you be sued for using AliExpress product images?
I am not a legal expert, but it is highly unlikely that a supplier would pursue legal action against you for using their product images. In China, piracy and knockoffs are rampant, and the cultural attitude towards intellectual property is different from that in the West. Therefore, using product images from AliExpress is generally viewed as a smart move by the supplier, as it helps them sell more products.
How can you avoid being sued for using copyright images?
In the West, using copyright images without permission is illegal and can lead to legal action. To avoid being sued, use images that you are allowed to use, and an easy way to find them is through Google Images. On Google Images, click settings and then advanced search, type in what you want to search for, scroll down to usage rights, and select free to use, share or modify, even commercially.
Can you sell AliExpress products that have trademarks?
Selling products that are branded with trademarks is illegal and can lead to legal action. Dropshipping trademarked products is risky, and it's essential to avoid them. Instead, sell generic products that do not have trademarks or logos on them.
In conclusion, protecting yourself from being sued when dropshipping is vital. Avoid using copyright images without permission, do not sell products with trademarks, and be careful when using product images from AliExpress. By following these guidelines, you can prevent legal issues and build a successful dropshipping business.

Dropshipping vs Ecommerce - What is the Difference?
Hey guys, it's Paul from Ecommerce Gold and I wanted to clear up some confusion about the differences between dropshipping and traditional ecommerce. In this video, I will outline how both methods work, list some pros and cons of each, and help you make an informed decision about which one is the best for your online business.
Dropshipping:
- Find a dropshipping supplier who sells the products you want to sell
- List their inventory on your website
- Market these products to potential customers through Facebook ads or similar methods
- When a customer is interested, they place an order on your website
- You place an order with your supplier and they post it directly to the customer
- Pros: access to a large inventory, no need to hold inventory, can automate the process, lower startup costs
- Cons: narrow profit margins, high competition, shipping times can be long, supply chain issues, stuck with returns
Traditional Ecommerce:
- Find a supply partner and buy products directly from them
- List the products on your website
- Market to potential customers through Facebook ads or similar methods
- When a customer places an order, you ship the product directly to them
- Pros: better profit margins, more control over costs and pricing, better shipping times, quality control
- Cons: need more capital to get started, can be left holding stock, more involved process
In my opinion, traditional ecommerce is better because you have more control over your business and can negotiate better deals. However, dropshipping can be a good way to test the waters before committing to traditional ecommerce. Ultimately, the decision is up to you and your specific business needs. Thanks for watching!
