| 00:01:39 | 00:01:43 | entry point into the things that we're |

| 00:01:43 | 00:01:46 | which ultimately led to me doing what |
| 00:01:44 | 00:01:48 | i'm doing today okay |
| 00:01:46 | 00:01:50 | so when i was 15 for those who don't |
| 00:01:48 | 00:01:51 | know the story i was building instagram |
| 00:01:50 | 00:01:53 | influencer pages i had about a million |
| 00:01:51 | 00:01:55 | followers across multiple pages |
| 00:01:53 | 00:01:57 | i was starting dozens of new pages a |
| 00:01:55 | 00:01:58 | month seeing which ones would work for |
| 00:01:57 | 00:02:00 | getting ones that did and just |
| 00:01:58 | 00:02:02 | working to grow that people would pay me |
| 00:02:00 | 00:02:04 | because i had 300 000 followers on one |
| 00:02:02 | 00:02:06 | page 80 000 followers |
| 00:02:04 | 00:02:08 | they'd pay me 30 bucks 50 bucks 200 |
| 00:02:06 | 00:02:09 | bucks to promote their e-commerce |
| 00:02:08 | 00:02:11 | product |
| 00:02:09 | 00:02:12 | that is what led me to discover the idea |
| 00:02:11 | 00:02:14 | of e-commerce |
| 00:02:12 | 00:02:16 | and kind of how i could get into that |
| 00:02:14 | 00:02:16 | because a lot of those people were drop |
| 00:02:16 | 00:02:18 | shipping |
| 00:02:16 | 00:02:19 | so through that i met a lot of people |
| 00:02:18 | 00:02:21 | started making some money off those |
| 00:02:19 | 00:02:23 | pages ended up selling some of them |
| 00:02:21 | 00:02:24 | and that is what led me to start |
| 00:02:23 | 00:02:24 | traveling through that i met a lot of |
| 00:02:24 | 00:02:27 | people |
| 00:02:24 | 00:02:29 | got heavily into drop shipping drop |
| 00:02:27 | 00:02:32 | shipping is what made me my first like |
| 00:02:29 | 00:02:33 | wow here's you know month over month |
| 00:02:32 | 00:02:34 | consistency |
| 00:02:33 | 00:02:36 | it took me eight months to make a single |
| 00:02:34 | 00:02:38 | dollar in profit once i figured it out |
| 00:02:36 | 00:02:39 | and it kind of clicked for me |
| 00:02:38 | 00:02:41 | um which again took eight months and i |
| 00:02:39 | 00:02:41 | went broke multiple times in that time |
| 00:02:41 | 00:02:43 | period |
| 00:02:41 | 00:02:45 | um i started making pretty good money it |
| 00:02:43 | 00:02:46 | was like thirty four hundred and profit |
| 00:02:45 | 00:02:46 | one month and it was a little over ten |
| 00:02:46 | 00:02:48 | thousand |
| 00:02:46 | 00:02:50 | then it was twenty thousand and it was |
| 00:02:48 | 00:02:52 | just slowly more and more and it kind of |
| 00:02:50 | 00:02:53 | plateaued around that 25 30 000 |
| 00:02:52 | 00:02:56 | mark and i was sitting there for a while |
| 00:02:53 | 00:02:58 | now keep in mind when i say that 20 000 |
| 00:02:56 | 00:03:00 | a month i'm toking about in profit i |
| 00:02:58 | 00:03:02 | was doing like 50 to 70 000 |
| 00:03:00 | 00:03:03 | a month in revenue there are expenses on |
| 00:03:02 | 00:03:05 | that right so |
| 00:03:03 | 00:03:07 | my take home was a consistent 15 20 22 |
| 00:03:05 | 00:03:08 | 25 000 a month |
| 00:03:07 | 00:03:10 | kind of would cycle here and there |
| 00:03:08 | 00:03:10 | throughout the year now that was when i |
| 00:03:10 | 00:03:14 | was |
| 00:03:10 | 00:03:16 | 16 going on 17 right when i was |
| 00:03:14 | 00:03:17 | 17 and a half 18 is when i started doing |
| 00:03:16 | 00:03:19 | youtube stuff traveling then once i was |
| 00:03:17 | 00:03:19 | 18 i started posting about e-commerce |
| 00:03:19 | 00:03:21 | because |
| 00:03:19 | 00:03:23 | people kept asking me what i was doing |
| 00:03:21 | 00:03:25 | when i would travel so i'd be in miami |
| 00:03:23 | 00:03:26 | like with all my crazy friends who are |
| 00:03:25 | 00:03:29 | big youtubers and stuff |
| 00:03:26 | 00:03:31 | and here i am nobody at like 16 17 we're |
| 00:03:29 | 00:03:32 | renting crazy cars and on jet skis and |
| 00:03:31 | 00:03:34 | having fun and i was just making my |
| 00:03:32 | 00:03:35 | money off the e-commerce stuff through |
| 00:03:34 | 00:03:38 | drop shipping |
| 00:03:35 | 00:03:39 | and so it led me to be able to travel a |
| 00:03:38 | 00:03:41 | lot at a super young age |
| 00:03:39 | 00:03:42 | it led to me being able to purchase my |
| 00:03:41 | 00:03:44 | first car and i'm going to try and throw |
| 00:03:42 | 00:03:47 | up as many like visual examples in this |
| 00:03:44 | 00:03:50 | as i can my first car which is my bmw m4 |
| 00:03:47 | 00:03:52 | absolute dream car mine i still have it |
| 00:03:50 | 00:03:54 | and that was kind of a huge eye opener |
| 00:03:52 | 00:03:54 | because shortly thereafter a few months |
| 00:03:54 | 00:03:55 | after that |
| 00:03:54 | 00:03:57 | i was starting to kind of pick up the |
| 00:03:55 | 00:03:58 | youtube channel i think i had a few |
| 00:03:57 | 00:04:00 | thousand subscribers when i posted the |
| 00:03:58 | 00:04:02 | video with the m4 then i moved to los |
| 00:04:00 | 00:04:03 | angeles and that's when things really |
| 00:04:02 | 00:04:06 | started going |
| 00:04:03 | 00:04:08 | right now before that point before i |
| 00:04:06 | 00:04:09 | actually moved to la |
| 00:04:08 | 00:04:11 | a lot of the people that i had known |
| 00:04:09 | 00:04:12 | from the instagram space were getting |
| 00:04:11 | 00:04:14 | into e-commerce some of them were |
| 00:04:12 | 00:04:16 | getting into software companies and that |
| 00:04:14 | 00:04:17 | actually led to me becoming a part of a |
| 00:04:16 | 00:04:19 | software company |
| 00:04:17 | 00:04:20 | which didn't make me a phenomenal amount |
| 00:04:19 | 00:04:22 | of money at the time it was great |
| 00:04:20 | 00:04:24 | but from the amount of work that was put |
| 00:04:22 | 00:04:25 | in i invested 25 000 |
| 00:04:24 | 00:04:27 | which was one of like my first big |
| 00:04:25 | 00:04:29 | investments and at the time that was |
| 00:04:27 | 00:04:31 | huge because remember the 15 000 |
| 00:04:29 | 00:04:33 | 20 000 a month that i was making there's |
| 00:04:31 | 00:04:34 | tax on that and i grew up in minnesota |
| 00:04:33 | 00:04:35 | where if you're not familiar with the us |
| 00:04:34 | 00:04:37 | state income tax |
| 00:04:35 | 00:04:38 | at the level of money i'm making i |
| 00:04:37 | 00:04:39 | wasn't exactly sure what federal was |
| 00:04:38 | 00:04:41 | back then |
| 00:04:39 | 00:04:43 | um and kind of what bracket but i was at |
| 00:04:41 | 00:04:47 | least in the 30 low to mid 30 |
| 00:04:43 | 00:04:49 | plus 9.5 state income tax so uh |
| 00:04:47 | 00:04:50 | almost half of my money pretty close to |
| 00:04:49 | 00:04:53 | half of my money |
| 00:04:50 | 00:04:54 | was going to taxes right and so it was |
| 00:04:53 | 00:04:57 | probably a little less |
| 00:04:54 | 00:05:00 | mid 40s 42 45 during that first year |
| 00:04:57 | 00:05:02 | but so i out of the money that i had to |
| 00:05:00 | 00:05:03 | invest you know i had to pay taxes i was |
| 00:05:02 | 00:05:04 | able to write off some of the |
| 00:05:03 | 00:05:06 | investments and certain things |
| 00:05:04 | 00:05:08 | um i would recommend toking to a cpa |
| 00:05:06 | 00:05:10 | regardless i went ahead |
| 00:05:08 | 00:05:11 | invested into a software business that's |
| 00:05:10 | 00:05:13 | something i ran for about nine months |
| 00:05:11 | 00:05:14 | i personally pocketed probably eighty |
| 00:05:13 | 00:05:16 | thousand dollars it |
| 00:05:14 | 00:05:17 | it got up to the point where he's doing |
| 00:05:16 | 00:05:18 | all right and then the whole partnership |
| 00:05:17 | 00:05:19 | kind of dissolved with the people that |
| 00:05:18 | 00:05:20 | were involved |
| 00:05:19 | 00:05:22 | and it was still a great learning |
| 00:05:20 | 00:05:23 | experience i value that tremendously i |
| 00:05:22 | 00:05:25 | moved out to los |
| 00:05:23 | 00:05:27 | angeles i met a lot more people through |
| 00:05:25 | 00:05:29 | that that ultimately opened my eyes to |
| 00:05:27 | 00:05:31 | really meeting suppliers in person |
| 00:05:29 | 00:05:32 | i flew to china i met suppliers there i |
| 00:05:31 | 00:05:33 | was able to travel the world with some |
| 00:05:32 | 00:05:36 | great friends for multiple months |
| 00:05:33 | 00:05:38 | and i met so many people and that is |
| 00:05:36 | 00:05:39 | what opened up the opportunity because |
| 00:05:38 | 00:05:40 | it wasn't the act of actually drop |
| 00:05:39 | 00:05:42 | shipping |
| 00:05:40 | 00:05:44 | um that made me a huge portion of my |
| 00:05:42 | 00:05:45 | money |
| 00:05:44 | 00:05:47 | but branching that out into real |
| 00:05:45 | 00:05:48 | e-commerce within a pretty quick period |
| 00:05:47 | 00:05:49 | of time |
| 00:05:48 | 00:05:51 | working directly with suppliers so right |
| 00:05:49 | 00:05:52 | now for those who don't know i have two |
| 00:05:51 | 00:05:54 | main brands that i run |
| 00:05:52 | 00:05:55 | one of those we hold inventory for the |
| 00:05:54 | 00:05:57 | other we don't |
| 00:05:55 | 00:05:59 | okay so one of them is tiknically drop |
| 00:05:57 | 00:06:00 | shipping one of them is not |
| 00:05:59 | 00:06:02 | the reason i don't hold inventory for |
| 00:06:00 | 00:06:03 | one of them and that's the biggest one |
| 00:06:02 | 00:06:05 | it's one i've been running for over two |
| 00:06:03 | 00:06:07 | years it's in the health and |
| 00:06:05 | 00:06:08 | orthopedic space the reason i don't own |
| 00:06:07 | 00:06:10 | inventory for that |
| 00:06:08 | 00:06:12 | is because for the product we are |
| 00:06:10 | 00:06:14 | selling our primary couple of products |
| 00:06:12 | 00:06:16 | it does not make sense our shipping |
| 00:06:14 | 00:06:17 | times would not be faster because we |
| 00:06:16 | 00:06:19 | have an amazing supplier |
| 00:06:17 | 00:06:22 | and in all reality our product cost |
| 00:06:19 | 00:06:24 | would barely be any cheaper |
| 00:06:22 | 00:06:26 | so when you factor in let's say you're |
| 00:06:24 | 00:06:28 | getting a product for us at six dollars |
| 00:06:26 | 00:06:30 | right six dollars and 10 cents per unit |
| 00:06:28 | 00:06:32 | if you could get that down to like 580 |
| 00:06:30 | 00:06:33 | or 590 a unit a little marginal |
| 00:06:32 | 00:06:34 | difference |
| 00:06:33 | 00:06:37 | but now you're paying for warehouse |
| 00:06:34 | 00:06:39 | space people to manage that inventory be |
| 00:06:37 | 00:06:41 | printing labels packaging |
| 00:06:39 | 00:06:42 | there's an entire operational system |
| 00:06:41 | 00:06:44 | behind that so for us |
| 00:06:42 | 00:06:46 | it made more sense to just drop that |
| 00:06:44 | 00:06:48 | potential headache with that brand |
| 00:06:46 | 00:06:49 | and let a supplier that we do trust and |
| 00:06:48 | 00:06:51 | have a great relationship with |
| 00:06:49 | 00:06:52 | manage that so i've been able to produce |
| 00:06:51 | 00:06:54 | well over 10 million dollars |
| 00:06:52 | 00:06:56 | up to now in sales with e-commerce i've |
| 00:06:54 | 00:06:57 | helped a lot of other people do that as |
| 00:06:56 | 00:06:58 | well |
| 00:06:57 | 00:06:59 | i've also done some stuff through |
| 00:06:58 | 00:07:00 | coaching we have some top-rated |
| 00:06:59 | 00:07:02 | e-commerce programs |
| 00:07:00 | 00:07:03 | that's been a great way to bring in some |
| 00:07:02 | 00:07:05 | additional income in my free time |
| 00:07:03 | 00:07:06 | i want to make it very clear that is not |
| 00:07:05 | 00:07:07 | my main income source that's something i |
| 00:07:06 | 00:07:10 | do on and off |
| 00:07:07 | 00:07:11 | so for an example from november of last |
| 00:07:10 | 00:07:13 | year |
| 00:07:11 | 00:07:14 | until just a few months ago i took a |
| 00:07:13 | 00:07:15 | break from that for like seven or eight |
| 00:07:14 | 00:07:16 | months |
| 00:07:15 | 00:07:18 | because i had so much work to do |
| 00:07:16 | 00:07:18 | especially with all the covent stuff |
| 00:07:18 | 00:07:20 | going on |
| 00:07:18 | 00:07:22 | there was so so much stuff to get done |
| 00:07:20 | 00:07:23 | inside of my actual company so i just |
| 00:07:22 | 00:07:25 | took a break from that but it's |
| 00:07:23 | 00:07:25 | something i enjoyed doing like videos |
| 00:07:25 | 00:07:28 | like this |
| 00:07:25 | 00:07:30 | so ultimately starting with drop |
| 00:07:28 | 00:07:32 | shipping it gave me the base of |
| 00:07:30 | 00:07:33 | cash flow not using that cash flow to |
| 00:07:32 | 00:07:36 | invest what i first did |
| 00:07:33 | 00:07:37 | was use that to travel now i want to |
| 00:07:36 | 00:07:38 | make it clear because i love toking |
| 00:07:37 | 00:07:39 | about this stuff because people always |
| 00:07:38 | 00:07:41 | ask little |
| 00:07:39 | 00:07:43 | pieces of it i want to explain how my |
| 00:07:41 | 00:07:44 | mind works when i was making |
| 00:07:43 | 00:07:46 | good money hundreds and hundreds and |
| 00:07:44 | 00:07:47 | hundreds of thousand dollars and i was |
| 00:07:46 | 00:07:49 | still a miner |
| 00:07:47 | 00:07:50 | i was when i was traveling i wouldn't be |
| 00:07:49 | 00:07:52 | looking up where's the nearest ritz |
| 00:07:50 | 00:07:54 | carlton how do i rent this crazy car and |
| 00:07:52 | 00:07:55 | i would rant but i met the people who |
| 00:07:54 | 00:07:56 | owned the car rental company so i'd get |
| 00:07:55 | 00:07:58 | amazing deals |
| 00:07:56 | 00:08:01 | i was looking at the single cheapest |
| 00:07:58 | 00:08:02 | airbnbs where's the cheapest hotel i had |
| 00:08:01 | 00:08:04 | stayed at motels and i had hundreds and |
| 00:08:02 | 00:08:05 | hundreds of hundreds of thousand dollars |
| 00:08:04 | 00:08:06 | because it was instead of a hundred |
| 00:08:05 | 00:08:08 | dollars a night it was 70 a night i |
| 00:08:06 | 00:08:10 | didn't care i just wanted to be frugal |
| 00:08:08 | 00:08:12 | because when i was starting |
| 00:08:10 | 00:08:14 | i knew that you were in a position of |
| 00:08:12 | 00:08:14 | power from someone i met while traveling |
| 00:08:14 | 00:08:16 | they mentioned this |
| 00:08:14 | 00:08:18 | you're in such a position of power if |
| 00:08:16 | 00:08:21 | you have the ability to not |
| 00:08:18 | 00:08:22 | need to take money out of your business |
| 00:08:21 | 00:08:24 | so for me |
| 00:08:22 | 00:08:26 | i didn't need to pull much money out of |
| 00:08:24 | 00:08:27 | the business and i was able to with all |
| 00:08:26 | 00:08:29 | that additional capital |
| 00:08:27 | 00:08:30 | reinvest in the actual ecommerce stuff |
| 00:08:29 | 00:08:32 | focus more on that |
| 00:08:30 | 00:08:34 | new product creatives new pictures and |
| 00:08:32 | 00:08:35 | videos for the products |
| 00:08:34 | 00:08:37 | starting up new stuff and scaling our ad |
| 00:08:35 | 00:08:39 | spend back then we're working with a lot |
| 00:08:37 | 00:08:40 | of instagram influencers a lot of |
| 00:08:39 | 00:08:42 | youtube influencers |
| 00:08:40 | 00:08:43 | you have to pay for that in advance |
| 00:08:42 | 00:08:44 | right so we'll pay someone three |
| 00:08:43 | 00:08:46 | thousand dollars and then |
| 00:08:44 | 00:08:48 | next week they'll go promote it so it's |
| 00:08:46 | 00:08:50 | an upfront expense unlike facebook ads |
| 00:08:48 | 00:08:51 | or google ads where you have a daily ad |
| 00:08:50 | 00:08:52 | spend budget |
| 00:08:51 | 00:08:55 | it's a little bit of a different |
| 00:08:52 | 00:08:56 | landscape but once i personally got to |
| 00:08:55 | 00:08:57 | the point where i was comfortable which |
| 00:08:56 | 00:08:59 | was when i was |
| 00:08:57 | 00:09:01 | 18 about to be 19 i was you know i was |
| 00:08:59 | 00:09:02 | just kind of starting to pull money away |
| 00:09:01 | 00:09:04 | and put it in my own personal account |
| 00:09:02 | 00:09:06 | um it was you know still leaving a lot |
| 00:09:04 | 00:09:06 | of money in the business i was just |
| 00:09:06 | 00:09:08 | tucking that away |
| 00:09:06 | 00:09:10 | and for me i always knew my personal |
| 00:09:08 | 00:09:12 | long-term game was real estate |
| 00:09:10 | 00:09:14 | but i didn't know enough about it i |
| 00:09:12 | 00:09:15 | lived on the beach in california |
| 00:09:14 | 00:09:17 | and my favorite place that i've lived |
| 00:09:15 | 00:09:18 | that condo was just amazing it was a |
| 00:09:17 | 00:09:21 | little overpriced but |
| 00:09:18 | 00:09:22 | uh to me spending like 50 or 60 000 a |
| 00:09:21 | 00:09:24 | year in rent |
| 00:09:22 | 00:09:25 | was worth it because of the location i |
| 00:09:24 | 00:09:27 | was in the people i met there and it was |
| 00:09:25 | 00:09:28 | truly an amazing environment i believe |
| 00:09:27 | 00:09:30 | that that value was |
| 00:09:28 | 00:09:32 | definitely worth it so i just kept |
| 00:09:30 | 00:09:33 | saving that money and i made the |
| 00:09:32 | 00:09:34 | decision i just want to tok about my |
| 00:09:33 | 00:09:37 | financials here as |
| 00:09:34 | 00:09:38 | open as i'm willing to be i personally |
| 00:09:37 | 00:09:41 | made the decision |
| 00:09:38 | 00:09:43 | to purchase a vehicle so up until that |
| 00:09:41 | 00:09:44 | point i just have my bmw |
| 00:09:43 | 00:09:46 | i had financed that car it's actually |
| 00:09:44 | 00:09:48 | still financed it's just building credit |
| 00:09:46 | 00:09:50 | i guess at this point it doesn't really |
| 00:09:48 | 00:09:52 | matter but uh but that vehicle |
| 00:09:50 | 00:09:54 | wasn't much out of pocket my second car |
