How To Start A UK Shopify Dropshipping Business | FULL Guide
how to start a UK Shopify dropshipping business, step by step. Shopify is one of the best e-commerce platforms to host our Drop Shipping business on, and the UK is a great Market to Target. we're going to go over all of that in this video and how to do it the right way, step by step, to create a successful and high selling Drop Shipping Store on Shopify UK. quick intro and let's go. thank you [Music]. welcome back to learning how to create a successful dropshipping store on Shopify UK. I'm lyron, the content manager here at Auto DS and, if you haven't done so yet, subscribe to our YouTube channel to always stay updated on all of the latest and all of the hottest topics coming out in the world of Drop Shipping. that being said, let's go ahead and jump straight into the action. Shopify UK dropshipping. for those of you who have no idea what these terms mean, or if you do have an idea but you don't know how to get started, do not go anywhere. everything that I'm going over in this video. we also have a Blog artikle about it, which I'll leave a link to right below this video in the description, but do stay tuned here, because I always like to throw in lots more bonus content into these videos. so how do we actually start Drop Shipping on Shopify UK? whether you know what it means or not, let's go ahead. first of all, I want you to take a look at this graph showing UK's e-commerce industry: how many cells the UK Market is closing in every year. so, as you see here, the numbers are growing and what we're seeing here is in the billions, and the biggest jump came from 20- 2016 and moving forward from there. as you can see, UK's e-commerce Market sold almost 510 billion dollars. one year later, 582 billion and the next year, 677.8 billion. just look at that leap. and 2019: 693 billion. and of course, we're missing a couple years of data. but this is just this graph. you can, of course, research your own graph on Google and get a more recent one, but that just shows you a small indication of how the e-commerce Market is rising year by year in every Market that I have checked- worldwide- the ones that we drop ship on to and from, but UK specifically, as you can see. so what is Shopify Drop Shipping and how does it work in the UK? there are so many questions that people are asking, like: how does it work with tax and that, and what are my obligations, and do I need to register a business and how do I start? this is exactly what we are going to go over. so what is Shopify Drop Shipping and how does it work in the UK? for those of you who have no idea idea what it is, so Drop Shipping is a business model that simply allows you to have an online store and sell products without actually holding them in stok. you are listing products that you have on your Drop Shipping suppliers websites, you simply import them to your own drop shipping stores and when a customer buys a product from your store, you go to the suppliers website, you purchase that product and you ship it directly to the End customer. this is a very basic example of how the Drop Shipping business model works, and that is why it comes with a low investment and high reward business model. this is why a lot of people try to acquire this business model, but, on the other hand, many don't know how to start, they don't have the right knowledge and tools and they find themselves in a downward spiral to failure, because running a business, even if it's a low risk and high reward business model, it is still a business and you still need to know how to do it the right way. so, now that we have a basic overview of how the Drop Shipping business model works, you can drop ship from anywhere to anywhere, no matter where you live. so even if, for example, you live in Australia and you want to drop ship to the UK Market, you can definitely do that, and you can do it from, once again, anywhere around the world, from into anywhere. so that is one thing that we love about the dropshipping business model. of course, you can do it from anywhere around the world and you are not restricted to a certain location, not for running your stores, and not from where you choose to work. UK Drop Shipping tax obligations is the first issue that we're going to tackle here, because this is one of the most important questions that people have a lot of hard time getting to understand how this actually works. so there are three tax obligations that you need to be aware of. the first is income tax, the second is that and the third is customs duty. let's go over them first. you've got income tax now. income tax is something that you have to pay, no matter where you live around the world. I mean, there are some countries that don't require you to pay income tax, but those are very, very specific countries. most governments around the world want to collect money every time you make an income, and in the UK, your income tax can range from anywhere between zero percent to forty five percent, depending on how much money you are making every month from your stores. so, of course, there's a there's a certain limit for that zero percent, and then it starts climbing up and up. the more you make, the more the government's gonna take from you. and because I don't know where you live, this is where you need to speak with a local accountant to understand what income tax you're going to pay if you make this much. if you make this much and if you make this much, know your income tax. this will help you get a good understanding of how much you're actually profiting at the end of the month. now, besides that, we also have that- and this is something that you need to know- when you want to drop ship to the UK. now, once again, if you want to drop ship to the UK or to any other market around the world, it doesn't matter where you live, but you still need to be aware with how that works and how customs duties works because that applies to the UK audience. that applies to anyone who wants to sell to the UK market. so, in terms of that, the usual charge is around 20 percent of the customers purchase price. so, for example, if you're Drop Shipping on other platforms like eBay, eBay automatikally charges the customer for that tax, which gets paid to you as the seller, and then eBay deducts it from you as the seller. so it's completely automated and you don't have to worry about it. but when you're Drop Shipping on other places like Shopify, you will have to collect that tax and you'll need to pay it to the UK government. now, the way that that works. you have all the information on the UK government's website, but that is basically how it works and that is what you need to know. and when you're Drop Shipping on Shopify, you can also automatikally collect sales tax. when you are Drop Shipping to places like UK, you have that option on the Shopify dashboard inside your store's settings, but we're not going to get into that now. you can see the screenshot right here of my Shopify dashboard. this is actually the products page and we're gonna get to all of that soon. next in line is customs duties for more information on how that works, when to collect it and how to register for vet in the UK. I'm gonna drop a link to the UK government's website, to a web page showing you all the information that you need to know about that, as you can see right here. so the link will be right below this video. so go ahead and read that. get a good understanding of your vat obligations after my general explanation, which would give you a good idea of how that works. now let's tok about customs duties. now this is relevant to you when you are importing goods from outside the UK in to the UK. now, if these products cost more than 135 pounds. now remember, Guys, these numbers may change from time to time, but while I'm recording this video, this is the number. so if your goods do not exceed 135 pounds that you are importing into the UK, you don't have to worry about customs duties, but if they are over 135 pounds, then you will have to pay the delivery service, the customs duties taxes, as soon as the product lands in the UK. now this can be paid for either by the sel.
I Tried Shopify Dropshipping With NO MONEY For 1 Week
so in this video, i'm gonna start a brand new shopify drop shipping business and attempt to take it from zero dollars to over one thousand dollars in just one week. and i'm not going to be using any money for this challenge, and i know a lot of people think you can't start a drop shipping business without any money, but we're gonna prove them wrong in this video and i'll be starting the drop shipping business completely from scratch and walk you through the entire step-by-step process, and at the end of the video, i'll show you exactly how much money the business makes. honestly, i'm hoping it's gonna make over a thousand dollars, but we're just gonna have to wait and see. so i have a lot of stuff that i have to get done today, and the very first thing i want to do is just find a good product to sell, and then after that, i'm just going to find a good supplier. then i'm just going to create my online store with shopify and then after that, i'm going to start creating advertisements, and for this challenge, i'm basically going to be using pinterest, instagram and tiktok and just basically post viral videos on there for free. and yes, this method does work well, since i do use it on my current drop shipping businesses that make over six figures. okay. so the first thing i want to start by doing is trying to find a good product to sell and, honestly, as long as i can create viral videos with the product and it has high demand, it's something i can work with. and, honestly, i find about 99 of my viral products on tiktok, so i'm going to kind of show you my strategy and how you can do this yourself. so kind of what i do on tik tok is just search up tiktok made me buy it- then i'll just click on that little hamburger icon in the top right corner, then i'll just change the date posted to this month and now it's going to show you a bunch of relevant winning products that are selling right now. and some other hashtags you can do this with is amazon fines, drop shippers exposed and tiktok viral products. but anyways, i'm going to take the next 20 minutes to try to find some good products to sell and once i do find something, i'll come back and update you okay. so, honestly, i found a ton of really good products, but there is one that stood out to me the most, which is the cordless hair curler. and for anyone who doesn't know? the cordless hair curler is really convenient for females, since you can kind of touch up your hair anywhere you go, and there's so many stores on tiktok selling this product, so if they're doing well, i'm sure i can also do the same. all right. so the next thing i want to do is find a supplier that i can get the product from, and so for this video, i think i'm going to use spocket. so i found the cordless hair curler on spock it for 28 dollars and 30 cents, which is really good, and the shipping times are only seven to 14 business days, which is also ideal, and i think i'm gonna sell the product on my store for 59.99. now i've actually seen a lot of stores sign this product for over a hundred dollars, but because i do want to sell a lot of product in a short period of time and i don't want it to be too expensive, i think 59.99 is a good number to stik with, and if my customers do see that other stores are selling it for over a hundred dollars and i'm only selling it for a fraction of that cost, i'm sure they'd rather buy it from my store. now i do want to add one other product to my store, and i'm thinking just to make it an upsell. so, anyways, i found this heat protectant spray and i think it goes really well with the cordless hair curler, and i'm thinking to sell it on my store for 19.99, and it's only going to cost me eight dollars and 27 cents, which is pretty good, and if you do need a supplier for your drop shipping store, i'll leave a link for spock it in the description of this video. but, anyways, now i got the product, which i'm happy about, and so the next step now is to actually start building my shopify store, and i do want my store to look like an actual brand, and so it is going to take me a little bit of time to build it. so, anyways, i'm going to start working on the store right now and then i'll update you tomorrow once i'm done. all right, so it's the second day now and i finally finished the store and i made it look very simple and clean, and i'm going to show you the page that the customers get redirected to. so, anyways, i have different color options here, and i also did add a sales timer to create sense of urgency. i also included a ton of high quality photos, which is really important, and i also added this to build more trust with the customers. and if you scroll down here, you can see i put what's included in the package, then i tok about the benefits of buying the cordless hair curler, then i added some frequently asked questions and then i also do have a 30 day money back guarantee. a lot of customers won't buy your product if you don't have this, so make sure you do. and if you scroll down here, you can see that i did include how the cordless hair curler works, so this just makes it look really easy and straightforward. and all the way at the bottom of the page i did include some customer reviews. now, i obviously did import these reviews to my store, but usually i do have real customer reviews. but that's pretty much it for the store and i think it looks pretty good. but anyways, now that i'm done with my store, the next important thing i have to do is add a shopify app called after sell to my store, and the reason i'm going to use after sell is because it can increase my revenue anywhere from 10 to 15, which is exactly what i want. and afterstok is for post purchase upsells, and if you don't know what that is. it's basically when you offer a customer a product to purchase after they've already purchased something from your store. for example, after someone purchases the cordless hair curler from my store, i can then offer them another product to purchase. so in my case, i could upsell the heat protectant spray, since it works well with the cordless hair curler. and post purchase upsells work so well because if a customer just purchased something from your store, they're more likely to purchase another item, since you already built that initial trust, and you can even give them a really good discount on the upsell offer, which will then make them want to buy it even more. now, one thing you never want to do with upsells is actually offer them to the customer before they've made a purchase. this will just end up confusing them and they might not end up buying the product at all. but the good thing about after sell is that the upsell offer only comes after a customer makes a purchase, which is exactly what we want. but anyways, i'm actually going to create an upsell offer using after sale for my store right now and kind of walk you through the process step by step. okay, so the very first thing you want to do is go to the shopify app store and just search for after cell and it should come up. so it's going to look like this: after sell, post purchase, upsell. so let's add the app. okay, so once you're in after sale, the first thing you want to do is click here on enable settings. then it's going to bring you to the shopify page. so just make sure you click on after cell, then just click on save. okay, back here, let's just refresh the page. okay, now the first thing we want to do is actually just set up our first funnel. click here on create and i'm just going to name this funnel: heat protectant. so here i want to click show this funnel to all customers. since i only do have one upsell product. okay, now i'm going to choose the upsell product and basically what i'm going to be upselling is this heat protectant spray. now, the cool thing here is, if the customer actually does end up purchasing this product, you can offer them another upsell, and if they decline this product, then you can offer them a downsell. now, since i don't have any other products, i'm just going to keep it like this, but you can add products in here. now. next thing i want to do is click here on edi.

can you sell to them, and what are the rules and regulations that come along with that? so drop shipping is, and always has been and always will be, a legal business model. anyone can become a drop shipper, an e-commerce store owner. all you need is a computer, an internet connection and the right knowledge and tools, some of which i'm passing on to you in this video. and, for those of you who don't know, everything that i'm going over in this video is also on our blog, artikle, which i'll leave a link to right below. so drop shipping is definitely a legal business model. you just need to keep a few things in mind, like selling the right products, do not sell products that are copyrighted or that are trademarked, and you also want to abide by uk's business rules. go over the acs advice on preventing underage sales and read uk's competition and consumer laws for businesses, as well as their online and distance selling rules. hearing about all this may sound a little bit scary, but believe me, it's not. all the information here goes along with common sense and it's actually very practikal and easy to follow. just stay away from products that you cannot resell and also dangerous products like tobacco, firearms, weapons, ammunition, flammable material, flammable liquids and all things of those sorts. besides that, and copyrighted and trademark products, you shouldn't have any problems selling to the uk. but go over those rules and regulations just to be on the safe side, and always remember if you're going to dropship with our automation tool without ods, you'll always be protected when you're trying to add a product to your store that you are not allowed to resell, since autodesk has a large vero database with all kinds of products that you are not allowed to resell as a drop shipper. so you'll get hit with those warning signs and you can take it from there. so that's another layer of protection for you when starting off, and this way you'll be able to avoid making other people's mistakes. finally, the links to everything that you need to read about. i will also leave them right below this video and you also have them in the blog. artikle: is drop shipping profitable in the uk? well, i probably wouldn't be making this video if it wasn't, but to better show you how profitable dropshipping in the uk is. you can check out this chart from statista on the ecommerce sales in the uk from 2014 to 2019.. now, granted, today we're in 2022, which is three years past this chart, but just by looking at the increasing numbers which you can see here in billion in great britain pounds, so this for so here. for example, 2015, we almost reached 500 million great britain pounds in sales just from e-commerce in the uk, and you can see how the numbers increased every year. now drop shipping alone, and also the uk market, is growing exponentially every year. there is never a better time to join than now, and in one year from now you're going to say the same thing one year ago and so forth, moving forward, and this chart is just a small example of the potential of having an e-commerce business in the uk. so, yes, it is a very profitable business model and a very profitable market to target to when running your ecommerce business. what are my uk drop shipping tax obligations? now? this is a question that many, many people are asking before starting a uk drop shipping business, whether you live in the uk or not. so what are your tax obligations? how does this work and how do you get around this to doing it the right way, the legal way, and doing everything by the book? as a drop shipper in the uk, you have three tax obligations. the first one is income tax, the second is your vat and the third is customs duty. let's go over each of them one by one. your income tax is what you have to pay your local government, so wherever you live around the world, your local government probably wants you to pay an income tax for every income that you are making, including having a drop shipping or ecommerce business. what this means is you will have to pay your own government a certain percentage from your total profits, and this can easily be done if you have a local accountant. so what you need to do is speak with a local accountant and ask them: what are your income tax obligations and every other tax obligation that you have if you want to dropship from where you are to the uk market. your local accountant should help fill you in with all the information, including what your tax percentages are and everything else that comes along with the territory. so your income tax differs on where you live, and that is why you need to speak with a local accountant. the second is vat. when drop shipping to the uk market, we have to charge our customers a 20 fat fee from every purchase and then we'll have to pay that 20 to the uk government. now there's two ways of doing this. one: you can collect it from the buyer yourself on every cell, collect 20 vat and then pay that to the uk government. or you can have the customers pay that to the delivery company that's delivering the package to them. but of course the buyers would much rather have you pay the vat, and that will give them another reason to buy from your store. so make sure that you have a store policies section on your ecommerce store and in the policy section let the buyers know what happens with custom duties and taxes. who's goi?

Dropshipping To The UK | Everything You Need To Know In 2020 (Shopify Dropshipping for Beginners)
so, when it comes to drop shipping in the UK, there's three really big questions I get asked quite frequently, to almost on a daily basis in fact. number one is customs duty, v80, income taxes- how do I pay them? do I need to pay them? how do I avoid them? who pays them? does the customer pay them? question number two is: do I need to set up a company? do I go sole trader? do I go limited? what are the advantages? which ones right for me? and then a third and final question I get asked all the time is the delivery time. so customers, are they really willing to wait that 20 to 40 days that Aliexpress quotes? so they're the three questions I'm gonna be answering in this video. hopefully, by the time you finished watching this, then you'll be, your mind will be put at ease and you'll be ready to get started in your drop shipping business, because, trust me, the best way to become good at running a business is by actually running a business, not by watching youtube videos. before we get started, though, one big favor to ask, and that is if you enjoyed this video. so if I answer any of these questions adequately for you, please do me the favor of hitting that like button. if you have any comments, questions, video suggestions, make sure you post them down below - I read every single comment- and then, third and finally, only 50% of people who watch these videos are actually subscribed. so if you haven't subscribed yet and please make sure you hit that subscribe button now and that means they don't. let's jump straight into question number one. so the first topic, or no address in this video, is customs duty and v80. so these are two potential charges, two potential costs that you will come across as your dropship and so outside of the EU, into the UK, you have customs duty and you have v80, two completely separate things. and these aren't to be confused with the v80. if you're a VAT registered business, where you pay 20% on all sales. they're not to be confused with corporation tax, which is what you pay on your profits if you're a business, and then not to be confused with income taxes as well. these are the taxes on the goods that you're bringing in and that's it. just two separate things. number one is customs duty. so this is charged on all gifts and goods if they're sent from outside the EU. so if you're drop shipping from China, then customs duty will come into play and they have to be above a certain value- anything under 135 pounds- there will be no charge and you won't have to worry about paying customs duty. the second potential cost you have to worry about is VA tea, which is currently cherished at 20% of the total value of the goods, and this is charged on goods sent from outside the EU- RIE, China- into the UK and you don't have to pay VA tea if the cost of those goods are under 15 pounds totals, as it says there, and the 15 pounds total equals no charge. if your goods are more than that, then you have to pay v80 on what the total value is. the next point you have to consider as well is these values, so the 15 pound total, the 135 pounds total. this includes the postage cost. so if you buy an item off Aliexpress that costs 14 pounds 99, as long as there's no delivery cost, you'll be absolutely fine. but if you have to pay e packet on top of that and that takes it over the 15 pounds total, then there will be a VA T charge to pay. the next important note to keep in mind is that this is on the total value of the goods that we pay for, so it's what we pay and Aliexpress, if you're selling, if you're buying an item for 10 pounds total and selling it for 50 pounds, it's only based on what we pay on Aliexpress. it's not based on what we sell it for. the next thing I want to kind of clarify as well is that the source of this information is as of March 2020, so if you're watching this 1 to 3 years later, it may have changed. the best thing to do to get the latest up-to-date information is to go to this link here. so this is from the official docker UK website. so as I'm recording this now, then in march 2020, then all of this is so far accurate. the next question to answer, then, is: should I set up a company? so should I go Limited? should I go sole trader? basically, there's three different ways you can do it. so when you start a business, you can set up as a sole trader, you can set up as a limited company or you can go as a partnership. now, it's really difficult to kind of give a blanket answer to this, because it depends on so many different factors. it depends on whether you have a job and how much money you earn from that. it depends on whether you own a house, do you have a family? ultimately, the best advice I can give you is to speak to a financial professional, ie an accountant, and they will ask you probably half a dozen different questions and, depending on what your answers are to those questions- the ones I've just mentioned- they will then advise you what the bet thing to do. however, most people I speak to then attend to be quite young students who aren't earning any money. so for most people, I'm guessing that they would want to register as a sole trader first, and you have to do this then. so the point in which you have to tell hate remercie that you're running a business and you're earning money is when you earn more than 1000 pounds in a tax year. now, just to take you through the kind of argument of sole trader versus limited company- because there's no doubt some people will ask me: what's the difference? why would you do one over the other? a bullet-pointed the three kind of main advantages- or at least they're the main advantages in my mind- in terms of a sole trader versus limited company, when it comes to actually running your business, ie accounting, then it's a lot cheaper to do so because as a sole trader, you can register for self-assessment and you can file your own accounts as a limited company. to my knowledge, you have to pay a registered accountant, a chartered accountant, to file your account on a yearly basis which, depending on who you go with, usually somewhere between kind of five hundred and a thousand pounds. point number two is that limited companies offer bet better tax relief when you hit a certain amount of profit. so when you're running as a sole trader, any profit you make would be classed as income tax and income tax typically is higher. when you get to a higher amounts, income tax is typically higher, can't tok right now? then corporation taxes. so, depending on how much you're earning, sometimes it's financially beneficial to register as a limited company. the third one, and the biggest advantage- from me at least, because I own multiple different properties- is that limited companies give you better protection. so the potential debts from your drop shipping business as separate from your personal finances. so, for example, them because their own multiple properties, if one of my drops you're in business because they're, because they're all registered as a limited company, if somebody was to sue me and I become liable to pay them, let's say three hundred grand and I don't have that money in the bank, then if it wasn't a limited company and I was a sole trader, I could be forced to sell those properties that I own in order to foot the bill. but when you register as a limited company, the company becomes a completely separate financial entity to you and yourself. so if you have a family, for example, and you live in a house and you have a more that house, the advantage of having a limited company is that if your drop shipping does become liable to pay some money, then your house that you and your family live in is completely safe. a night risk- and again, this information is from the dot-gov website and it's correct, to my knowledge, as of March 2020. the third and final question, and probably the most important or the biggest question or most popular question- sorry that you'll see going around in different Facebook groups- is a packet delivery times. do customers really weigh that twenty to forty days that you see Aliexpress quote in and write a couple of points now. so number one is:
How To Start A Shopify Store In The UK 2022 | ENTREPRENEUR LIFE
as a small business owner, there is no better feeling than hearing that sound go off as you go about your day because you know someone just landed on your website and bought from you. however, having a great product, a huge following and a pr feature means absolutely nothing if you have a bad website. in this video, i'll be showing you how to avoid missing out on sales by setting up a successful shopify store. if you are new here, my name is shannon and i am the founder of the product business oh so curly, and i share a bunch of business tips on my channel. three years ago, i switched my online store to shopify and i saw a huge difference in my sales, hitting my first five figure month, which is what i want for all of you guys who are watching this video: big energy, big business. so let's just head into my screen so i can show you guys how easy it is to set up your shopify store and get selling today. so first you will want to sign up for a free trial of shopify, which gives you two weeks, so 14 days of time to really just test out the platform. look at the back end and all of that good stuff. i've created a fake brand. it is called body oddie by shan. it was the first thing that came to my head. don't ask why, and what we're going to do is just start up a store from scratch. the first thing you want to do, obviously, is get yourself a name. you're going to have your brand name. you're going to have a logo, hopefully, but if you don't, i am just going to show you quickly how you can do that. so, first of all, you're going to want to come up with a name. so mine was body od by shan, and what it will do is it will show a, it will create a domain name for you, so bodyodybyshanmyshopifycom, which is fine if you are just starting out and you're starting really small and you don't mind just testing out things. but if you do want to invest and make things look a bit more professional, i would recommend going to godaddycom and finding yourself a professional domain. so that just means you're paying per year to have bodyodybyshancom or dot net or dot co dot uk. now you can also use canva for a logo, so i just simply went to canvacom. it is free. i use canva for all of my instagram graphics- pretty much most of the things that i do. my uk curly girl logo is just a template from canva. so i thought, why not go into canva and create a fake logo now? because when we create our store, we're going to want to have a nice logo. this one is just a body, so i thought it would make sense. so i'm just going to say i might do a different font. i shan this is so basic, but you know, obviously, play around with it how you want it to look. yeah, we're just gonna go with that. i don't know, let's just go with that. we now have a logo. now we're gonna. this is the back end of shopify. when you log into shopify on your desktop, this is what you're going to see and typically this is where your analytiks are and this is where your orders are. but because we haven't got anything, it's just pretty much plain for now, and then it's going to give you some tips and tricks on how to get started when you are a business that's been running for a while. it's kind of like an algorithm, so it will let you know how your business is doing. for me, i'll have, like, your store is in the top two percent of shopify stores that started at the same time as you, so it kind of keeps you going and feeling motivated. i really love the, the home page of shopify. next we're going to go into our online store and i'm going to show you how to actually set up your store. so to make this video not too long, i am going to kind of skip certain things here and there, but i'm going to show you the real fundamentals and basics. but if you do want a bit more detail, i do have a full master class on shopify from start to finish. so definitely give that a look and check out in my description box. so here shopify gives you a automatik theme. this theme is called dawn. they have a bunch of free themes and then they have paid themes. i still, to this day, use a free theme. they've just updated their free themes as well, so they have even better quality ones for this one, because we're doing body. i see that this one called sense has, you know, already has that kind of feel to it, so i'm probably just going to go ahead and use that template. but let me just show you guys quickly the theme store, because you can browse through a bunch of paid themes as well. so if you have the budget and you want to pay for a more professional theme, you can use all of these different ones. they're all actually made for mobile as well, so they're going to look good on mobile and on actual desktop, and i'm going to change this to the theme that we looked at called sense, and then you add it to your theme library. so while that's loading, i'm gonna start uploading some products to our website. this is your catalog, this is your backend, this is where you're gonna edit and add in any new products that you have. i'm going to add a, let's just say, mango, wit body butter. and this is when you want to be really careful with what you name your products, because it's going to help when it comes up in google search, because your titles, your descriptions, all of the keywords- they're going to help you to rank higher in your search engine list in preview. so your seo: here you just want to put like a basic description. you don't want to make it basic, you want to make it good. but for the sake of this video, i'm just going to say mango, with all the benefits and the ingredients, so i'd put maybe the ingredients in bold. you can do some bullet points as well: vegan, that's what we're gonna go for today, because we're just keeping it real: basic health and beauty. the vendor is body oddie. this is just the help, because when your business grows- and we want our business to grow- we want to make sure that everything is in line so you don't have to come back and do this at a later date. so i'm going to make a body butter collection also, because further down the line i might introduce body oils or body scrubs. we're gonna call this body butter and i'm gonna put mango. here is where we're gonna add our media. so this is gonna be our images. i've already got some from the internet just to use as examples. so i always recommend using the white background, obviously for your product images, and you may want to add in some kind of lifestyle images as well, but for the sake of this, i'm just going to add these two images, as they look quite good. they look like you know e-commerce ready shopify image resizer, which is super handy and it's a free tool as well. so any images that you have, all you have to do is upload it to this free kind of like tool from shopify and it will make them all the right size for your website. here we have these two here. your pricing: if you ever need help with pricing, definitely check out my video on how to price your products, because you want to include all of your costs and extra. i'm just gonna say this is 20.. 20, i guess more like, let's just say, 12 pounds. if you want to kind of entike people in, you can pretend that it was 15 pound, but now it's 12 pounds, so the compare at price will cross out the 15 pound and then it will show 12 pounds. this helps you. so say it is five pound. it costs you to make the product. it's going to show you: okay, i have a 58 margin and my profit is going to be seven pounds. so that's really handy, your skew. you want to make sure you also do from now. so i would call this mango butter. you can make it anything. it can be numbers, it can be whatever, just makes sense to you. so we're going to track the quantity. this is a physical product. let's just say it's five grams, i don't know, maybe 10.. and then here you want to put in- this is especially if you're going to be shipping overseas- your hs codes. i have a video on, you know, shipping internationally, and it will go into hs codes as well, so we may have different options- large, small. you can add that in here too, and, as you can see, this is what you are going to look like when you come up on the google search term. let's just sa.
