They can help you stand out in the search results, so they're worth testing with your campaigns. Before you start creating them in your account, there are some requirements and guidelines you should be aware of. So, let's get started and cover the new Image Extension in Google Ads.

Creating an Image Extension:

- Log into your Google Ads demo account and select Ads and Extensions, then Extensions.

- You can create Ad Extensions at the account, campaign, or ad group level.

- Select a campaign and click the plus sign, then select Image Extension.

- Requirements for Image Extensions: account open for at least 90 days, good history of policy compliance, and certain businesses may not be eligible.

- Guidelines for images: square images, 1200 x 1200 pixels, most important content in the center, no overlaid text or graphics, no too much blank space, no combining multiple images into one, clear and cropped images, and no nudity or sexually suggestive content.

- Upload up to 20 images and Google will automatically decide what to show with your ads.

- Use images related to the keywords you are targeting, your ads, and your landing page.

- Save the Image Extension and scroll down to see it.

- Enable the Dynamic Image Extension to let Google Ads automatically show images from your website with your text ads.

If you have other ad extensions configured in your Google Ads account, then Image Extensions might not display very often with your ads.
