how to set up shopify payments. hi guys, welcome back to another video, and in today's video, i'm gonna be telling you about shopify and how you can set up your payments and set up your store. so, having said that, let's just jump into it. so this is the website right here, shopifycom, and all you have to do is just simply sign up. now i'm going to be using a temporary email and i'm just simply going to paste it over here and click on get started. and once you've started, just simply click on next and over here, just simply enter in your first name, your last name and your password and you can create your shopify id and you're good to go. so i'm gonna go ahead and do that and i'll catch you guys in a little second- and there we go, okay, so now that's done. all we have to do is now name our store, and it can be anything. you can relate it to your product, maybe like, if you have a pet, maybe you can like add in your pet's name and be like gabby's toys, or maybe anything you want, literally anything. so for now, i'm gonna write species toys, and after that, that's going to be my domain, namemyshopifycom- and click on next. and now over here. what are you selling, what is your current revenue and what industry are you operating in now? these are some of the questions that they asked, just to help you get started and based on your responses, so you can go ahead and skip that if you want, or click on next. i'm going to go ahead and skip and over here. just simply fill out this form and you're good to go and over here. this is your dashboard. so over here, as you can see, you have a bunch of different options. you have your products, you have your customized theme, you have your pages, you organize navigation and you can add your domain if you want to. so, first things first. what we want to do is we need to add some products. now you can go ahead and add some products by clicking on this button over here, or you can go ahead and click on apps and over here we can find an app that can help us to get our products that we want, and we can directly ship them from aliexpress over into our shopify account and we can start selling them online. so this is the application right here: umbrella, this is a drop shipping application. it's pretty easy. so what we're going to do is we're going to install it over here and then we're going to go ahead and import some of the products from aliexpress and start moving over to the next step. so, over here, simply click on add app. over here, scroll down as you can see. this app is going to be installed. click on install app, wait a couple of seconds and it'll take you over to the oberlo account. you can go ahead and log in with the umbrella account if you have one that isn't connected with any other store, or you can go ahead and create a new umbrella account. i'm going to go ahead and create a new account- i'll catch you guys in a little bit- and it's really simple. just simply enter in your email address your password and click on create an account and it's done. and once you've done that, as you can see, it's done. so over here- let me just close this up. so over here, on the left side, we have a bunch of different options. we have import list, we have products, orders, notifications. what we're going to do is we're going to click on products and, over here, click on find product. it'll take us over to aliexpress, and over here we have a bunch of different options. we have our- you know- categories over here is down below, we have our products. what we want to do is want to go over to toys and hobbies, and over here we just find a product that we like. so a bunch of different options over here. let's just say that this is the product that we want over here, this little uh truck thing over here, we just simply hover our mouse over it and we click on add to import list. if you want more information, just simply click on the product and it'll take you to the home page on aliexpress where it'll show you all the details of this product. now, as you can see, it's imported. we'll go over to the import list and over here we'll see the product. now what we can do is we can go ahead and change the name and let me just go ahead and erase some of this over here and uh, yeah, there we go. now that that's done, we can go ahead and add in the type and insert tags over here if we have one, but we can leave it at that. now, once you've, you know, done everything, we have a bunch of different variations of it as well. we have different colors. you can change that. you can change the pricings over here, the description and you can even add more images if you want. so once everything is done, just simply click on import to store import as draft, wait a couple of seconds for it to be imported and there you go. you have the green dig. it means it's imported. now we go back to shopify and click on products and over here we'll find our product ready to go over here, as you can see. so right now it's in draft, but we can set it as active later by installing some of the other things, such as sale channels. so if we come over here onto the left side here, we have sale channels over here and if we click on plus button, we can go ahead and add in a sales channel that we want. so we have facebook, we have google, we have buy buttons, point of sale, everything. we can go ahead and add that and set up our- you know- sale channels and we're done. and then we just have to, you know, come back over here and, you know, choose this product and click on more options and we can set it as active. and then, once it's set as active, we can start selling this product onto our sale channels and we can go ahead and start drop shipping it so, but then we need to set up our payment method. so, to set up a payment method- this is the main part of the video, what you came for- we come over here onto the bottom left corner, we click on settings. it'll take us over to here. so over here, we have a bunch of different options, as you can see. we have plans, billings, user permission, payments, checkouts and stuff like that. what we want to do is we want to click on payments, and over here we have a bunch of different options. we can choose a provider, payment provider, and we have paypal checkout, and we have manual payments as well. if we click on add annual payments, we have bank deposit, money order, cash on delivery or create a custom method if we want to. it all depends upon you, and we can even choose a provider as well. so if we click on choose provider, we have a bunch of different options over here. so we have two checkouts: faster pay aid in airpay. we have a bunch of different options. that is supported by visa, mastercard, amex, discovery, jcb and apple pay. what i want to see is: i want to see one that has everything. so it has two more. it has two more. now, what about this? one world pay? unavailable in your country, so some of these options aren't available in my country. so i guess these two, three are available for me. so i think this one would look better because it has more options, because it has visa, mastercard, amex, discovery, jcb and diners club. you know, i think this would look good. so if i click on that and over here, what we want to do is we have a bunch of different options. we have to set up instructions over here. we have to create a to checkout account, log in and activate our account, access the integrations, which is called the web hook and api section in our cpanel, and we have to copy the merchant code and paste it in the merchant code over here. and then we have to generate a new ins secret word and paste it in the secret word section over here. and then we have to click on settings and in the direct url section, check, enable, return after sales and for the redirect url section, leave blank. shopify will do that for you. so over here, as you can see, and for shopify payment setup. hi everyone, welcome back into this channel, and today i will be teaching you how to create a payment gateway on shopify. so let's begin right away. the very first step is to make sure that you have an account on shopify. so if you don't have an account, you may go to shopifycom and place your working email right here. make sure that your email is working, since shopify will be sending you a confirmation email or a verification email that will verify that your account is existing. once you're done inputting your email address, click on start free trial right here and then click on password and type in your password. i'll just type in right here and make sure to follow the required password right here. click on create your store once you're done and then wait for it to load. so shopify takes a lot of time to load, so you should be patient with all of these steps. so, as you can see, shopify is loading right now. so once it is done loading, make sure to add the important information that shopify needs in your store so you may click on um. are you already selling? you may choose an option, or what is your current revenue? choose an option. which industry will you be operating? choose an option as well. right here you may click on skip if you think that you still don't have the answer to all of this, and then it will redirect you now to this page right here. so it will ask about your address, so your country or your region, your first name, your last name, address, your apartment, suite and etc. your postal code, city, region, phone and optional business or personal website right here. so make sure to add all of these ones, since it is required, except of this optional business or personal website. you may also check on: this store is a registered business, if you have already registered it to your respective office swap, and then click on enter my store. and once you click on enter my store, this page or the home page will appear, and then you may add a product right here by clicking on add product. or let's say, for example, that the product that you want is on um, aliexpress. so you may go to apps right here on the left pane and then click on overloop. so once you click overloo, it will redirect you to this page, which says that the overloo is a drop shipping app. so click on add app and then wait for it to load again. shopify is taking time to load, so you should be patient with it. once you click on add app, this will be shown on the screen. so the first one is create or connect your shopify store. step two is: i had your first product. the step three is go live and the step 4 is make a sale, so you may track your steps right here. as you can see, there is a green one which indicate that you have already achieved the number of steps out of the four steps right here. so, since we have already created and connected our shopify store, it has now been added right here. so what we're going to do now is to proceed with step two: add your first product. so go to products, right here on the left pane, and click on find products, and right here you may choose the category that you want. so you may choose men's clothing and accessories, women's clothing and accessories, toys and hobbies, beauty and health, watches and etc. you may also choose on more categories. if you cannot see any category that will be seen right here, and then now you may proceed back to your shopify store and go to your products and, as you can see, now you have your product right here, so you may click on it and then you may be able to see your product. jimmy also edit the name of that product, the description and etc. so again, let's just wait for it to load and then- let's say, for example, that you have already edited your product name or your description. you may click on the bottom right of the screen and then now let's proceed to what you're looking for, which is the setting up of the payment. so let me go to settings, right here on the left pane, and then you may see store details, plan billing, users and permissions, payments, checkout and many more. so let's focus on payments right here. so click on payments and you may choose payment providers, supported payment methods or manual payment methods. so, on manual payment methods, you may add manual payment method, such as create a custom payment method, your bank deposit, money order or cash on delivery or cod. once you are looking for your desired payment method, you just simply try all of this so that you may um experience everything. so let's say, for example, i want to choose a provider. i'll just simply click on that one and then wait for it to load. so, right here i may look for the provider that you want. you may choose to check out by d local credit card or debit card, via paymongo and etc. so you may see here as well what cards are supported by these payment method or your payment providers. so let's say, for example, i want to choose this to check out, and then, as you can see, there is a description. there are also instructions, which include create a to checkout account and log in and activate your to check account, access the integrations under the api section, and you should read all of this so that you will have a successful payment gateway. so the merchant code and the secret code can be seen once you created an account on to check out or other payment options. so let's say, for example, let's click on create a to check account and then make sure to sign up for free. since i have already signed up, i'll just sign in right away. so i'll just log in first, i'll type in my password and make sure to provide again a working email so that you will not have problems later on. so let's say, for customer to pay your product. so click on activate, found on the lower right corner, if you are already done, and then you may now go back to the shopify store type in shopifycom. make sure to log in and then go to your store. so once you are in your store, let's just wait for it. you may now go back to products and then make sure that this product status from draft. you may um turn it into active. so let's just click on more actions and click on set us active and wait for it to load. as you can see, now your product is active, so it can be seen on your store and you have already set up How to set up Shopify Payments || Shopify Help Center

So you’ve gone over all the eligibility criteria and decided that Shopify Payments is right for your business. Now let’s set it up and start using it. Before starting the setup process for Shopify Payments, you’ll first need to decide on a store's currency. A store currency is the currency used in your admin and the one you price your products in. To choose a currency, go to “Settings” in your admin Under “Store Currency”. choose the currency for your store, Then click “Save”. Your store currency can be different from the currency your bank account is in. For instance, your store may be located in Europe, but most of your sales happen in the US. You may want to keep the currency of your store in USD, but have your payouts in Euros. It’s important to note that, while your store currency can be any those listed in your store settings, the currency you receive your money in is based on where your store is located. This is because your bank account must be located in the same country as your store. If you need to change your currency after making your first sale, you’ll need to contact Shopify support for assistance. Once you’ve picked a currency, you’re ready to activate Shopify Payments. If you haven’t already set up a payment provider, you can do so by clicking the onboarding card on the home screen. …and then clicking “Set Up Shopify Payments”. It's recommended that you discuss any tax issues relating to your business with a local tax professional. You may also be required to submit details about you and your business. This information is used to help identify merchants using Shopify Payments and is a requirement to comply with the terms of service. What is required to be collected may differ from country to country. Typically, this includes documentation about the business associated with the Shopify Payments account, about the owner of the business or about an individual with signing authority for the business. If Shopify is unable to verify your identity using this information, you may be asked to submit additional documentation. that could include Proof of identity, Proof of home address or Proof of business verification. Because of the sensitive nature of personal information, the requested documents can only be submitted through your Shopify admin, not through our live chat support team or email. Your identity, home address and proof of entity documents must be reviewed and matched successfully to the information on your Shopify Payments account before your business can be fully verified. Reviews of your Shopify Payments account can take up to 3 business days to complete. Once Shopify Payments is set up, customers will be able to use the service to checkout on your store. Let’s take a look at what customers see when they make an order. After entering their address and picking a shipping method, they’ll be taken to the payment screen. Here they’ll be able to see the most popular credit card options offered. After entering their credit card details, they can review the order before placing it. If you have Apple and Google pay enabled and customers are using a matching device, they will have the option to pay with it on the cart page. How To Setup Shopify Payment Methods | Tutorial: The Ultimate Guide

so let's set up your payment method on Shopify. hey guys, welcome back to another tutorial, and today we'll be showing you how to create and set up your payment methods on your Shopify and com? um website. um, if you've just about set up your store, this look will look a bit familiar to you and it's your admin page, and we'll be showing you a step-by-step how to create your own as a payment methods so that your customers can obviously pay for the product you're selling? um, and that they can transfer the money in an effective way, um, on the website. so this is essentially your shopifycom admin page and you can see the top shopifycom admin. so this is just a brand new account. actually, I've just made this for the sake of the video, but you'll come to this point as well once you've made up your your account. so at this stage you've maybe put it up: the shop, you set up your theme, you've named your store, I added the brand assets and now we're on to set up Shopify payments. now to do that, it's quite straightforward. if we just go to the bottom left corner, there is the option to click settings, and once you've clicked settings and the left hand side, there's the option to click payments, you know, onto the payment page. there's actually three different options that you can select, and we'll run through each option individually. at the top, you'll see that there is Shopify payments. as it says, let your customers pay their way with Shopify payments. so it's essentially um chargeable, um credit cards, for example, and it says: competitive credit card rates, better check out conversion for of shop B, easy chargeback management. so this is the Shopify payment. you need to activate this to set this up, so I'll come back to that moment. the second option is supported payment mapping. so these are your typical PayPal, Amazon pay that you've often heard about, and we'll add payments here. just to get that. all set up payment methods are available with one of Shopify that approved payment providers. so these are the ones I've been approved already by Shopify. finally, at the bottom it says manual payment methods. so these are slightly different. payments are made outside your online store. when it comes to our selects a manual payment methods, such as cash delivery, you'll need to approve their order before it can be filled, so that makes sense. so start from the bottom, which is probably the least slightly pivot method. we've run you through that first of all. so when you click that, there's an actual a selection to be had here. so there's bank deposit, money order or cash on delivery. so, for example, if we click on cash and delivery, we'll click that and it says specifically: additional displays to customers when they're choosing a payment method. okay, so this is something for their customers to read. so you want to write um, obviously some additional details there that you feel applicable for your cash on delivery service, payment instructions, the space to customers after they place an order with this payment method. so then you're instructing Europe, your customer, and instructions about how to be. the next option, of course, is money order, and again there's an option for additional details, our payment instructions, and likewise for bank deposit additional details or payment instructions. and again, this is where you can put in your bank details to send um or any instructions to contact you, for example, to get that all arranged and sorted. in the middle here we have um, your supported payment methods, and laptop. we have Shopify payment methods. we'll click activate Shopify payments here to see what happens, but below you can see all the other if you want to use a different payment provider on your store. so if I click this, for example, you at this highlight all the providers that we can access, so there's something that's obviously not available in the country. so these are maybe um foreign payment and providers, and over here we have a big list of um different options. for example, be safe and what um you click down to here to support the payment benefits, so we can click add payment methods, and here it allows us to search for individual and payment methods. so, for example, um click search and actually comes up straight away with what options you want. so, for example, if I wanted to check if they do a American Express individually, that this will pop up and I can now click clearness and do MasterCard and you can see this pops up as well and I can click that. now, if I click this again, you can actually just scroll down to run through every single specific payment method that you would like. you see, there is actually a big wide range of different options to choose from. so we have, for example, Kleiner Union. please select different ones that we want in our Market or our shop um to accept. we even have cryptokurrency, so it's Ophelia and there's a Bitcoin and you can scrolling. you see a ton of different options, but wait- cash, Dogecoin and some other crypto and WeChat pay and Chinese um client base as well. so you can see there really is a wide range, and so obviously, cater this to your Market. if you know certain certain Banks or certain payment methods are common in a certain country of origin, make sure to utilize that. okay, I'm happy with this, and then after that it can um. you have these all selected. you can now click here to search my provider as well and this um. as we we saw earlier, we'll show you an array of different options that will cover a range of different specific payment methods. what can we do? it says coinbase Commerce and there's a list of cryptokurrencies. so if it's crypto that you're wanting, then that's obviously an option to consider here. we have created debit card payments via panamics and there's a list of, obviously, options here that you'd want to go for. the best way to select a payment method, in my opinion, is clicking the options that you want and then see what displays. so there are no providers that support your selected payment method. so I've selected, and I already have, different options that obviously are not supported. so if I take away some of these options here and let's just say I want MasterCard, I want a Visa and I want an American Express and um. let's say that Union payers will. now it displays specific providers that offer these payment methods. okay, so here's the specific providers. so if you have a specific set of payment methods that you want, this is easiest way to narrow down to choose the one you want. so, for example, let's say, faster p is the one we want to go for. it also has 47 more options alongside MasterCard, visa, emix and Union P, so this is a next optional stik it. so there's a big range of payment methods. so this will cover most options for us and so most and see how it- and I want to buy it- can actually buy it from us and we support their period method. so we want to do that is Click activate and it'll tell you a bit about faster Pace Global Payments app that close your business with cross-border payments- so, as I say, cross-border, so this is important, as I see it means that we have a wide range of um client base that we can access for over 200, plus local payment methods. so certainly this is a really good option and probably the best one that I would recommend. no, we do have to connect and connect our faster pay account and it says account status: you're not currently connected to faster p and so what we want to do is obviously create that account so that we connect it to our Shopify and that will be all set up. so we do have to click connect. it will load up and page that no says here for us to install the app. so it says: set these two: access store information, edit store information. so that's absolutely fine to load for that, and so what we'll do now is Click install app. so it takes us over here. now to the faster pay setup configuration: connect to faster feet with radio. we'll pick secret key and onboarding neutral settings. so bring it to us page here and essentially you just want to complete this document, um, and set up your account with fast.

How To Setup SHOPIFY Payments (Simple Method)

hey guys, Dean, here in today's Shopify video, I'm going to be running you through how to set up Shopify payments on your Shopify Drop Shipping Store. this allows you to accept any kind of payments which people are going to send you, typically when you sell any product on your dropshipping store, and this is a really important thing, because when people pay you, you want to go straight to your bank account, right, and we're going to set up all the different payment methods, or at least show you how that process actually works, to make sure you can accept payments as soon as you get sales on Shopify. now, typically, this is going to be based on how you want your store to be set up, right, so there's options to get paid directly to PayPal, which is obviously going to benefit a lot of people who just want quick payments and Easy System. PayPal has some pretty good security, but they mainly do favor the buyer of the seller in a lot of situations, and obviously you can receive direct card payments using stripe, which is shopify's partner too. so let's take a look at the Shopify dashboard and go on the shop, provide payments, and I'll explain everything from that. so here we are in the Shopify dashboard on one of my stores and basically, I'm going to show you how to set up the Shopify AI payments. so the first thing, what we need to do, guys, is just click on settings in the bottom left and it'll take you to your dashboard for your store here. okay, I have my store over here. I've just blurred out some of the crucial information, but we're going to click on the payment section on the left over here, and from here let's just take a look at all the payment options which Shopify give us as an option. so this is how we're going to accept payments from all of our customers and how we're going to process those payments and transactions and how we're going to acquire money at the end of the day. so, basically, this payment capture over here. so, if we manage this, this is the customer's payment method and how it's authorized and charged, and, by default, that's going to be on automatik. so there's the choice between automatik and manual capture. automatik captures payments for all the orders automatikally and the method is authorized and charged automatikally too, whereas if we select manually, you'll capture the payment method and it's authorized at the time of the order and you'll need to manually capture the payment within the authorization period. so this just adds another extra step in the process, which you just really don't need to do unless you just want to manually specifically look at every single order. you don't need to select manual because it's just going to add another step in the process and you want to be saving time here. so I wouldn't change that. I'd leave it on default and, as you can see down here, I have PayPal already active. that's what I activated it first and these are the additional payment methods. so the main payment system, Shopify payments- I will show you that in a few moments- but the additional payment methods- if you just want to sell PayPal, you can kind of just set that up instead. basically, PayPal is the main provider I'm using. the reason why I think PayPal is personally pretty good is because they have a zero percent transaction fee, and this basically means that when people make a purchase using PayPal on your store, you won't have to pay a cut of that towards PayPal for that sale. so that's really useful, or at least the customers also won't need to have a transaction fee. also, too, we can also click on ADD payment methods to add more, and you click manage on PayPal and over here I've connected my PayPal account. so typically, if you were to create a brand new store on Shopify, it'd have an option to activate the PayPal feature and then also link your PayPal account directly to your store, and that's how you would actually set it up. you'd be basically then log into your PayPal, get a code through your phone and then authorize it through Shopify to allow the permission for Shopify to use your account, and then you link it. it's a pretty easy process to set up the PayPal Express checkout. it allows you to receive payments in foreign countries with PayPal. so usually with a store you'd have to set up so many different Nationals and locales and set up each country and the taxes that people pay for those different countries and zones. but if you set up Paypal, it just does all for you. it's a very simple thing to do. if you don't have a PayPal account and you want to do some kind of e-commerce online, I really recommend setting up. okay now, I originally had a Paypal because I used to use it for eBay and for online work, but if you haven't got a PayPal, I think you're really sleeping on it because it's the easiest way to sell up. the only downside is, like I said before, PayPal do typically favor the buyers rather than the sellers. I've never really seen very good protection for sellers on PayPal. when we get to the stage where you may have refunds and chargebacks when using PayPal, it's probably the worst, but it is the safest and easiest payment process to use and I can't even moves along the heavy lifting and it's just really simple to set up. guys, you also have Amazon pay as well, so there's not many websites which typically you really seem to use Amazon pay, but you would click activate Amazon pay and you have to register as a merchant on Amazon for this right. so I would select United Kingdom and if you want to set up Amazon pay, you have to create an Amazon payments merchant account and basically the certain requirements needed to set up this account. so your online store must live and be accessible with products available for purchase. obviously, this is going to be your Shopify store, so you need to have products already activated in the store when you set this up and they must follow Amazon's acceptable use policy. so you need to obviously agree to their terms of service on their platform and you need to specifically specify the URLs you're going to use for their payment processor, which would be your Shopify URL and certain countries. there's certain revenue and turnover requirements, some items that you'll need when setting up. they'll need your image of your passport so they can do some kind of facial recognition and identity information regarding you, too, and details about your business- any vat numbers or business codes you need to provide- and that's how they do identity verification. just like on cryptokurrency platforms, when you want to sell crypto or any government gateways and websites, you need to provide your passport, some kind of ID and facial recognition, such as a picture of yourself, to actually verify it's you. it's kind of similar when you set up an Amazon Seller Central account to sell on Amazon or do Amazon FBA. you'll basically have to do a webcam live chat with one of Amazon's support reps and they'll verify it's you. that's what I had to do. I had to do like 30 minute or 20 minute call with an Amazon rep. I don't think you have to do that with this, but it's a similar thing where they need to verify your identity right and you need to register with Amazon pay and after registration, you check Seller Central and this is the One-Stop shop for updates. so, just like selling on Amazon, you use Seller Central just like an Amazon vendor would when you sell products on Amazon. so that's how to set up Amazon. if you want to use Amazon pay, that's another method. I'd recommend PayPal. it's much easier and you don't have to use a third-party platform as much, because you're gonna have to refer to the Amazon platform a lot more than you would have to log into PayPal. now, manual payment methods are payments made outside your online store. so if a customer wants to do a manual payment method, like cash on delivery, you'll need to approve this. I wouldn't recommend doing cash on delivery. cash on delivery is, for an example, if I was to do cash and delivery on an ebay account, that would mean where if I sell a product, such as a piece of furniture.
