00:00:20 00:00:23 is having trouble syncing or if you
00:00:22 00:00:25 can't get your location extension to
00:00:23 00:00:27 actually trigger i'm going to show you
00:00:25 00:00:28 how to fix that there's a really easy
00:00:27 00:00:30 way i'm going to be swift about this so
00:00:28 00:00:32 number one remember that through a
00:00:30 00:00:35 location extension
00:00:32 00:00:37 we can add your google my business into
00:00:35 00:00:39 a google ad and within the
00:00:37 00:00:41 location of about 30 miles of where your
00:00:39 00:00:42 business is
00:00:41 00:00:44 if you win
00:00:42 00:00:46 a search that has a google my business
00:00:44 00:00:48 you will show up this is just an example
00:00:46 00:00:50 these poor saps need more google reviews
00:00:48 00:00:51 this is not a client of mine but they're
00:00:50 00:00:53 showing up here therefore they're
00:00:51 00:00:54 showing up here we specialize in doing

00:00:54 00:00:58 it real quick first off if you go to a

00:00:58 00:01:01 uh you get a search campaign created
00:01:00 00:01:03 whatever that is and this is called an
00:01:01 00:01:05 extension you're gonna go to ads and
00:01:03 00:01:07 extensions and what you're gonna do is
00:01:05 00:01:09 you're gonna go to extensions and you're
00:01:07 00:01:10 gonna hit plus
00:01:09 00:01:12 and as you go down you're gonna find the
00:01:10 00:01:14 location extension so the location
00:01:12 00:01:16 extension is the thing that you will add
00:01:14 00:01:19 in your google my business in order to
00:01:16 00:01:21 actually get your google reviews to pop
00:01:19 00:01:23 in an appropriate manner but there's
00:01:21 00:01:24 something that pops up sometimes you
00:01:23 00:01:28 might add this and it says there's a
00:01:24 00:01:29 failure to sync if it's not syncing
00:01:28 00:01:31 for some reason so i just had that on a
00:01:29 00:01:34 client's site and and there's a couple
00:01:31 00:01:36 of reasons why that might occur it may
00:01:34 00:01:37 fail to sync even if you add it in here
00:01:36 00:01:39 so what i'm going to do is i'm going to
00:01:37 00:01:40 hit plus and i'm going to go to location
00:01:39 00:01:42 extension
00:01:40 00:01:43 and
00:01:42 00:01:45 what you'll see here is i'm able to add
00:01:43 00:01:48 in anything associated with my account
00:01:45 00:01:50 so all sync to locations yes two sync
00:01:48 00:01:52 locations brave carrot and feedback
00:01:50 00:01:54 range these are the two that i want in
00:01:52 00:01:57 there i'm going to hit save now if for
00:01:54 00:01:58 some reason you keep getting the same um
00:01:57 00:02:00 select a campaign we're gonna go to all
00:01:58 00:02:02 campaign
00:02:00 00:02:04 uh select a campaign so you have to put
00:02:02 00:02:06 it in here as a campaign
00:02:04 00:02:08 um what is it cpa said so we'll just
00:02:06 00:02:11 pick one of these and hit done okay so
00:02:08 00:02:12 now that's going to actually sync and
00:02:11 00:02:14 and be in there now you got to add that
00:02:12 00:02:16 extension and make sure it's attached to
00:02:14 00:02:18 every search campaign it's only on
00:02:16 00:02:20 search you can't do anything else but um
00:02:18 00:02:21 there's a chance that it's not working
00:02:20 00:02:22 now if it's not working here's what i
00:02:21 00:02:26 want you to do i want you to open up the
00:02:22 00:02:27 google my business is so associated with
00:02:26 00:02:28 that account so i'm going to go to mine
00:02:27 00:02:30 right now and i'm going to go to
00:02:28 00:02:32 feedback wrench and once you get into
00:02:30 00:02:33 feedback wrench um what we're going to
00:02:32 00:02:34 do is we're going to check and see if
00:02:33 00:02:36 it's actually synced and there's a thing
00:02:34 00:02:38 down here that you can go to
00:02:36 00:02:40 called link
00:02:38 00:02:42 to ads so if you're having trouble
00:02:40 00:02:44 and it won't sync in google ads what
00:02:42 00:02:47 will happen is you have a pop-up in here
00:02:44 00:02:49 and it'll say gmb fix syncing issues for
00:02:47 00:02:52 gmb location
00:02:49 00:02:54 and what you'll learn here is in that
00:02:52 00:02:56 um there's a couple of reasons why it
00:02:54 00:02:57 might not be working and one of the
00:02:56 00:03:00 things that we learned was
00:02:57 00:03:03 if you have multiple accounts connected
00:03:00 00:03:05 um if if your google my business is
00:03:03 00:03:06 already added into a google ad account
00:03:05 00:03:08 there's a chance that it won't working
00:03:06 00:03:10 so in this case i just fixed the
00:03:08 00:03:11 customers he had a former ads manager
00:03:10 00:03:13 working but here's what you're gonna do
00:03:11 00:03:15 you're gonna come back in here and
00:03:13 00:03:18 you're gonna go to the
00:03:15 00:03:20 link to ads okay and what this has is
00:03:18 00:03:21 all of the accounts
00:03:20 00:03:24 and what you'll do is you'll make sure
00:03:21 00:03:26 that you remove it
00:03:24 00:03:29 remove it and then go back in and re-add
00:03:26 00:03:29 it so i just had a customer
00:03:29 00:03:32 and
00:03:29 00:03:34 that client's ad was
00:03:32 00:03:37 he had his google my business there was
00:03:34 00:03:39 two accounts synced in here and once we
00:03:37 00:03:41 removed that then that syncing issue
00:03:39 00:03:43 went away so for some reason you can't
00:03:41 00:03:45 get your google location extension again
00:03:43 00:03:46 any search ad you're going to come into
00:03:45 00:03:48 search
00:03:46 00:03:50 you would select the campaign probably
00:03:48 00:03:52 right and once you get the campaign so
00:03:50 00:03:54 web design websites this is one then in
00:03:52 00:03:56 this campaign i go to ads and remember
00:03:54 00:03:58 you got all these extensions that really
00:03:56 00:04:00 make your ads much bigger but in order
00:03:58 00:04:01 to show up with your google reviews
00:04:00 00:04:03 you're gonna have to go down here to
00:04:01 00:04:05 location now i've already done that or
00:04:03 00:04:08 if it's not listed there you're gonna go
00:04:05 00:04:10 plus and go location extension and once
00:04:08 00:04:11 you get that up then you're gonna the
00:04:10 00:04:14 other thing that you need to know is
00:04:11 00:04:16 you're gonna have to have the google um
00:04:14 00:04:19 google my business account
00:04:16 00:04:21 that's associated with your actual gmb
00:04:19 00:04:22 so make sure that you share admin right
00:04:21 00:04:24 so another thing you might want to do is
00:04:22 00:04:27 go up here into the gear and go to
00:04:24 00:04:28 access and security and once you get the
00:04:27 00:04:30 access and security you'll want to come
00:04:28 00:04:33 in and add your managers that you might
00:04:30 00:04:34 need or add your users and as you add
00:04:33 00:04:36 users and managers also you'll want to
00:04:34 00:04:38 do that on your google my business right
00:04:36 00:04:40 so come into your google my business and
00:04:38 00:04:41 make sure that the accounts that matter
00:04:40 00:04:43 to you you know if it's you and your
00:04:41 00:04:46 spouse and your business partner whoever
00:04:43 00:04:47 it is add them all in under users here
00:04:46 00:04:50 and get them all integrated so that you
00:04:47 00:04:51 can actually have syncing because you're
00:04:50 00:04:52 gonna have to have your google ads
00:04:51 00:04:54 account synced with your google my
00:04:52 00:04:56 business that'll help you out good luck
