00:00:21 00:00:26 goes above 10
00:00:23 00:00:28 you run the risk of that happening now
00:00:26 00:00:30 cancels could happen for any number of
00:00:28 00:00:30 reasons maybe your supplier is out of
00:00:30 00:00:32 stok
00:00:30 00:00:34 or the price on your suppliers website
00:00:32 00:00:35 potentially if your drop shipping has
00:00:34 00:00:37 changed and
00:00:35 00:00:38 it's no longer profitable or maybe
00:00:37 00:00:40 you're actually storing items that you
00:00:38 00:00:43 have yourself and you either damaged it
00:00:40 00:00:44 in storage or you know you lost it
00:00:43 00:00:46 because you don't have a proper
00:00:44 00:00:47 inventory system or you know whatever

00:00:47 00:00:50 it happens to the best of us it's
00:00:49 00:00:51 happened to me
00:00:50 00:00:54 and if you're selling on facebook
00:00:51 00:00:57 marketplace it's going to happen to you
00:00:54 00:00:58 as well so the best thing to do is
00:00:57 00:00:59 preemptively know how to handle these
00:00:58 00:01:00 right
00:00:59 00:01:02 and today we're going to tok about how
00:01:00 00:01:03 you can respond when it does we're going
00:01:02 00:01:06 to cover
00:01:03 00:01:07 three ways that you can cancel orders on
00:01:06 00:01:10 facebook marketplace
00:01:07 00:01:12 without hurting your seller metrics
00:01:10 00:01:14 all of these are much better ways to
00:01:12 00:01:17 handle issues rather than
00:01:14 00:01:18 canceling in order so the first way is
00:01:17 00:01:20 to
00:01:18 00:01:22 simply find that item from another
00:01:20 00:01:23 supplier right so a lot of times if
00:01:22 00:01:25 you've
00:01:23 00:01:27 sourced it or you're listing it drop
00:01:25 00:01:28 shipping wise from let's say walmart for
00:01:27 00:01:30 example because i know a lot of
00:01:28 00:01:32 beginners use walmart
00:01:30 00:01:34 you could basically take that title and
00:01:32 00:01:36 then search for it on amazon or search
00:01:34 00:01:37 for it on google see if you can find it
00:01:36 00:01:38 from another supplier a lot of times
00:01:37 00:01:40 there'll be an
00:01:38 00:01:42 item just like that on amazon or
00:01:40 00:01:43 somebody's literally drop shipping that
00:01:42 00:01:44 on to walmart
00:01:43 00:01:46 or you know listing it the sellers
00:01:44 00:01:48 listing on multiple places so
00:01:46 00:01:50 a lot of times you can actually simply
00:01:48 00:01:51 find that item from another supplier
00:01:50 00:01:54 that's honestly your best
00:01:51 00:01:55 bet usually right because then you can
00:01:54 00:01:57 still ship the order out
00:01:55 00:01:59 hopefully make a profit if it's you know
00:01:57 00:02:01 obviously still profitable
00:01:59 00:02:02 and even if you don't have or even if
00:02:01 00:02:04 you do end up losing money here and you
00:02:02 00:02:05 don't end up making a profit
00:02:04 00:02:07 let's say hypothetikally originally
00:02:05 00:02:08 you're gonna make like 10 bucks on it
00:02:07 00:02:10 now you're only going to make two then
00:02:08 00:02:11 it's still profitable and you don't have
00:02:10 00:02:13 to cancel the order so that's great
00:02:11 00:02:14 now if you're not profitable and maybe
00:02:13 00:02:16 you're gonna you were gonna make 10
00:02:14 00:02:18 bucks but now you're going to lose five
00:02:16 00:02:20 then often it's still worth shipping it
00:02:18 00:02:21 out you might say like why would i do
00:02:20 00:02:23 that to lose money
00:02:21 00:02:24 but it's a potential review on facebook
00:02:23 00:02:26 marketplace
00:02:24 00:02:28 you don't have to cancel the order the
00:02:26 00:02:30 buyer is obviously happy and yes you're
00:02:28 00:02:32 losing on this specific order
00:02:30 00:02:34 but on ninety percent of other orders or
00:02:32 00:02:34 95 percent of other orders you're gonna
00:02:34 00:02:36 make
00:02:34 00:02:37 a lot of money on them if you're listing
00:02:36 00:02:39 properly
00:02:37 00:02:41 so it's just one order right it's a
00:02:39 00:02:42 numbers game at the end of the day
00:02:41 00:02:44 if you're making a lot of money on the
00:02:42 00:02:45 majority of your listings and you end up
00:02:44 00:02:47 losing it on one
00:02:45 00:02:48 it's better to ship a product out to the
00:02:47 00:02:51 customer and lose money
00:02:48 00:02:52 even if like you know god forbid it
00:02:51 00:02:53 changed on your or
00:02:52 00:02:55 on your supplier right like if you were
00:02:53 00:02:55 profitable originally and the price went
00:02:55 00:02:57 up
00:02:55 00:02:59 instead of canceling that order just
00:02:57 00:02:59 ship it to them and discontinue listing
00:02:59 00:03:01 that item
00:02:59 00:03:03 obviously for future sales right so
00:03:01 00:03:04 that's the best way to approach it
00:03:03 00:03:06 originally either
00:03:04 00:03:08 ship it out if it's unprofitable or find
00:03:06 00:03:08 it on another supplier if it's
00:03:08 00:03:11 profitable
00:03:08 00:03:13 or even if it's not okay the next way is
00:03:11 00:03:15 kind of a cool little way and that's to
00:03:13 00:03:17 simply ask the buyer to cancel
00:03:15 00:03:18 you know for on their end right if they
00:03:17 00:03:20 cancel then you don't get dinged with
00:03:18 00:03:22 the seller metric now if you just simply
00:03:20 00:03:24 ask the buyer to cancel
00:03:22 00:03:25 it's not going to work as well it still
00:03:24 00:03:26 will work sometimes but it's not going
00:03:25 00:03:28 to work as well
00:03:26 00:03:29 as if you approached it this way so what
00:03:28 00:03:32 i recommend that you do
00:03:29 00:03:33 is you simply contact the buyer
00:03:32 00:03:35 preemptively
00:03:33 00:03:37 say you were about to ship the item out
00:03:35 00:03:38 to them but you didn't realize that it
00:03:37 00:03:40 was defective
00:03:38 00:03:42 or it was damaged in some way and so you
00:03:40 00:03:43 wanted to make sure that they knew that
00:03:42 00:03:46 before you shipped the item out
00:03:43 00:03:47 you didn't realize that it had broken
00:03:46 00:03:47 like let's say it's like an action
00:03:47 00:03:50 figure right
00:03:47 00:03:52 you didn't realize that during storage
00:03:50 00:03:53 it had broken its wing off or something
00:03:52 00:03:55 like that right
00:03:53 00:03:56 and so if you tell them that and say
00:03:55 00:03:58 that you're sorry you didn't realize
00:03:56 00:04:01 that and ask them to cancel
00:03:58 00:04:02 not only will they cancel 99 of the time
00:04:01 00:04:04 but they'll also be very grateful that
00:04:02 00:04:06 you're no longer shipping them an
00:04:04 00:04:07 item which they believe is now defective
00:04:06 00:04:09 or damaged right
00:04:07 00:04:11 so that's a really easy way to get
00:04:09 00:04:12 around it and it's really really
00:04:11 00:04:14 effective okay
00:04:12 00:04:16 now the last way is a way that i've
00:04:14 00:04:17 touched on before this works on amazon
00:04:16 00:04:18 this works on ebay i mean they all
00:04:17 00:04:20 really do honestly
00:04:18 00:04:22 this works on poshmark mercari offer up
00:04:20 00:04:23 literally anywhere but especially
00:04:22 00:04:25 facebook marketplace
00:04:23 00:04:26 and that's the ship out another item
00:04:25 00:04:28 that's cheap
00:04:26 00:04:29 that you don't care about if you have
00:04:28 00:04:30 another piece of inventory that's
00:04:29 00:04:32 totally fine
00:04:30 00:04:33 if you have something that you're lying
00:04:32 00:04:34 that's laying around the house that you
00:04:33 00:04:37 don't care about
00:04:34 00:04:39 again totally fine and so the whole idea
00:04:37 00:04:40 here is you're still shipping an item to
00:04:39 00:04:41 the customer
00:04:40 00:04:43 it but it's the wrong item and you're
00:04:41 00:04:45 doing that on purpose right
00:04:43 00:04:47 now am i telling you to ship out you
00:04:45 00:04:48 know a used thing of gum
00:04:47 00:04:49 no because that's obviously once they
00:04:48 00:04:51 get it they're gonna be like what is
00:04:49 00:04:52 this this is like a this dude's a
00:04:51 00:04:54 scammer right
00:04:52 00:04:56 but if you ship out a product that looks
00:04:54 00:04:57 new that's not valuable or a product
00:04:56 00:04:59 that looks
00:04:57 00:05:00 even like used that's not valuable i'm
00:04:59 00:05:01 looking around for like a good example
00:05:00 00:05:03 of something
00:05:01 00:05:05 and then you preemptively like you're
00:05:03 00:05:06 consciously chipping the wrong item out
00:05:05 00:05:09 but then as soon as you ship it out
00:05:06 00:05:10 you preemptively contact the buyer after
00:05:09 00:05:12 you ship it out and you say
00:05:10 00:05:14 hey i just got a message from another uh
00:05:12 00:05:15 buyer and i didn't realize that i mixed
00:05:14 00:05:18 up the orders i
00:05:15 00:05:18 shipped you x by accident when and i
00:05:18 00:05:20 shipped them
00:05:18 00:05:22 y which you should have gotten and i
00:05:20 00:05:22 mixed the orders up i just wanted to let
00:05:22 00:05:25 you know that
00:05:22 00:05:27 that the wrong items coming to you i
00:05:25 00:05:29 apologize for mixing the orders up and i
00:05:27 00:05:31 preemptively refunded you right and then
00:05:29 00:05:32 obviously preemptively refund them
00:05:31 00:05:34 now here you're obviously going to
00:05:32 00:05:35 refund the money so you're going to be
00:05:34 00:05:37 out like three to four bucks or whatever
00:05:35 00:05:39 it costs you to ship it to them
00:05:37 00:05:40 but you're again not canceling which
00:05:39 00:05:41 isn't going to go against your seller
00:05:40 00:05:43 metrics
00:05:41 00:05:44 you're not upsetting any buyers you're
00:05:43 00:05:45 not going to get any bad reviews and
00:05:44 00:05:48 it's an
00:05:45 00:05:49 another easy way to obviously avoid
00:05:48 00:05:51 shipping out uh
00:05:49 00:05:53 you know or avoid canceling an order
00:05:51 00:05:54 which is going to ding you long-term
00:05:53 00:05:56 which you want to avoid right so
00:05:54 00:05:57 i've touched more on this in another

00:06:04 00:06:08 it's primarily geared towards like
00:06:06 00:06:08 selling on amazon or or something like
00:06:08 00:06:10 that
00:06:08 00:06:11 but they're all relatively the same it
00:06:10 00:06:12 doesn't matter if you're approaching it
00:06:11 00:06:14 selling on amazon
00:06:12 00:06:16 selling on ebay selling on facebook
00:06:14 00:06:19 marketplace the key here is
00:06:16 00:06:20 avoid cancelling orders if you can and
00:06:19 00:06:22 so that's three ways that you can
00:06:20 00:06:24 basically avoid canceling orders on
00:06:22 00:06:25 facebook marketplace
00:06:24 00:06:27 i really hope they help if you
