Shopify Tutorial for Beginners 2022 | Set up a Shopify Store in 13 Minutes

in this shopify tutorial for beginners, i'm going to show you, step by step, how to use shopify to build your own online store from complete scratch. so let's not waste any time and get started. the first thing we're going to do is get us a 14-day free trial for shopify. so go to the description of this video and click on the first link you find there, or simply go to medicsmediacom. forward slash shopify. here. we can now claim our free trial by signing up for a new shopify account. simply type in your email and click on start free trial. then set your password and click on create your store. to save some time, we're going to skip the survey by clicking on skip. here you have to type in the name and address of your business and then click on enter my store. that will take us to the dashboard of our new shopify store. so let's start by choosing a store theme. on the left side menu, we click on online store and then on themes. currently, the default theme on shopify is the dawn theme, which is not bad, but for this store i'm actually going to choose a different one. so we scroll down and click on explore free themes. here you can now choose from 10 different themes that come with the shopify plan. you can take some time to check out each of these themes for yourself and then decide which one will fit your business the best. i'm going to choose the brooklyn theme for this store. once the new theme has been added, we can click on actions and then publish, and now we can see that our current theme has changed from the default one to the new one we have just added. now we can go ahead and click on customize to start building out our store. here's where we can edit all of our store pages, like our home page, product pages, collection pages and so on. you can also check how your store looks like on different devices and screen sizes by clicking on the desktop icon on the top right and then choosing mobile phone, for example. however, we're going to make our changes on desktop view. on the left side, you can see the structure of your current home page. it always starts with the header all the way on the top and ends with a footer, which is all the way on the bottom, and in between is the content of the page. by default, there are already some sections on our homepage. first, we have a slideshow section. next we have a text section, a collection list, a featured collection, a featured product and a newsletter section. we can also rearrange these by dragging them up or down, or we can also delete sections by selecting it and then clicking on remove section on the bottom. if you want to add something new, we can simply click on add section on the left side and choose what kind of content we would like to add. so let's now start adding content to our homepage. we're going to start by adding a logo to our header. so we're going to select our header on the left side and then click on select image. here i'm going to upload my logo for this door and then click on select. i'm also going to upload a white version of this logo so that when there's a dark background, the logo will turn to white. to do that, i'm going to upload the image under transparent logo and now you can see that the logo on my home page turned to white, but when i change to a collection page, for example, it will turn to black again. so let's go back to our homepage and move on. we're going to select our header again and then scroll all the way down to the announcement bar menu. here i can change the announcement text for the top of the website. this is a good place to put promotional messages like, for example, giving a discount code or simply putting something like free shipping worldwide. of course, you can also remove the announcement bar altogether if you want to. now we're already done with the header and we can move on with the next section of the homepage, which is the slideshow. for the sake of this tutorial, i'm only going to add one picture here, so i'm going to delete one slide by selecting it and then clicking on remove block on the bottom. then i'm going to select the remaining slide and click on select image and then add my hero image, which is what people will see first when they visit my store. then i'll go to text alignment and put the text all the way to the right, and we also want to change our heading and subheading. plus, i also want to add a shop now button. so under button link, i'm just going to choose collections, all collections, so that when people click on that button, they will see all the product collections that we will add later in the video. however, we want to make it stand out a bit more, so i'm going to change the button color to orange. awesome. the first part of our home page is now finished. now would be a good time to save what we've done so far, so we're gonna click on save on the top right. so let's move on with the next part, which is our collection list. this is an overview of the different collections that we have on our store. by selecting this section, we can first choose a name for our collection. i'm gonna name it- find your style. as i'm building a watch store here, i want to have a men's collection and a women's collection, so i'm going to delete collections until i only end up with two separate collections. and now we can actually edit and populate these collections in the back office of our shopify account. so we're going to right click on the exit button on the top left and then click on open link in a new tab. that will take us back to our shopify dashboard. here we want to go to products and then choose collections. here i'm going to delete the default collection that is already set up by selecting it first and then going to more actions and delete collection. then we're going to create a new collection and we're going to name this collection men's. now we can add the collection image on the right side. under collection type, we're going to choose manual, because we're going to be manually adding our products later, and then we can hit save. now we can do the same process for all of our other collections. once that's done, we can now put these collections on our home page. so let's go back to our editor and then select the first collection in our collection list and here we can assign the corresponding collections. so i'm going to choose women's for the first one, and then for the second one i'm gonna choose men's, and that's already it for my collection list. we can then move on and also set up our feature collection. here i want to feature the products of the new arrivals collection that i've created before, so i'm going to give it a name and then select the new arrivals collection. however, as you can see, we don't have any product set up yet, so this is what we're going to do next. so let's click on save and then go back to our shopify dashboard. here we want to go to products and then all products. then we're going to add our first product. i'm going to name it minimalist leather watch, and i'm going to skip the description for now, to save some time now. we want to upload a nice product image and also put the price of the product and then also the available quantity we have in stok under inventory section. if you want to, you can also go through the rest of these options here and put in more information about your product. then we also want to choose the collections that this product belongs to. so for this product, i'm going to add it to the men's collection and also to the new arrivals collection, and now we can click on save and go back to our products. for all of our other products we can now do the exact same process. once we've added all of our products and we're ready to put them on our store, we need to change their status from draft to active. so we're going to select all of our products, click on more actions and then set as active. now we can go back to our editor and now we can see the three products that i've just added to the new arrivals collection. then let's move on and go to the feature product section and then we're going to select a specific product that we'd like.

How To Create A Shopify Dropshipping Business From Scratch (FREE COURSE)

I just got to Krakow from split, so Croatia to Poland. but isn't that the beauty? I'm in a complete random country, and to think that you can quite literally be from any place in the world that, of course, has Wi-Fi, craft together your own online store and start getting orders from anywhere in the world is pretty crazy, not to mention with the Drop Shipping model. the best part about it is that you don't even need to be the one that's shipping and handling these orders. your supplier is going to take care of that. but before I hop into this 100 free course, I want to announce a special giveaway for this video. I'm going to be giving away a custom built Drop Shipping Store made by my team. now all you have to do is like this video, be subscribed and comment a question or a place you want to travel to. once you get your eCommerce Journey up and going, I'm going to announce the winner in next week's video, but without further Ado, let's hop into my computer and start this tutorial, foreign. so the first step into creating our online store is to create a separate Gmail account. that's going to separate our business assets information from our personal. so we're going to go to Gmail, create an account. I'm gonna do personal. um, Andy, you come. I apologize, it is in man, it's in Polish, okay, all right. so once you do that and create it, all right, let me translate this real quick. all right, there, we go next. uh, you don't need this, doesn't really matter for now. I'm just gonna go next, random birthday, our personal. one step, all right, confirm. all right, there we go. we are into our email now. uh, that's the main thing. so we got the email set up, all right. so the next thing we need to do is create our Shopify store. so we're gonna go ahead and sign up for Shopify here. I have this link right here. you can either go to shopifycom or I have a link below for an extended trout. uh, one dollar a month for three months, so that's pretty nice. we're gonna put in our email [Music]. it's Ecom store at gmailcom. start the free trial. all right, this doesn't really matter, we can just skip all these questions. so skip, skip. for here, the store name. this is optional. you can always change it later or, you know, once we connect our godaddy domain, that's going to be the URL link. so for now, just gonna name it Andy's e-commerce store. next, not in, I am in Poland, but I'm going to set this up for the US. yeah, it's gonna see that. so us, because that's where I live. it's already my taxes, okay, so we're gonna go ahead. continue with email. now we're gonna go ahead and set up a password that we can remember. create Shopify ID, all right. so here is our Shopify dashboard, and this is going to be the interface that we will be having to get used to. so the first thing I want to do, just so I can get this out of the way, is pick the plan, because it is a three-day trial, so it's just a buck. I'm gonna go ahead, choose this plan, put in my credit card information real quick. it's monthly, one dollar for three months. confirm the billing cycle. as you can see right here, it's only going to be zero dollars right now and then on the third day it's going to be one dollar and then one dollar for next three months. so I'm gonna go put this information in and then get back to you guys once it's all filled out. all right, so all I had to do was grab the Platinum, put it in and start the plan, and this is going to allow us to have a visible Shopify store from the get-go. now we're going to say anything about this, all right. so here is the Shopify interface. is the home page. now we have orders. this is where, if you ever get an order, it's going to populate right here. you can have access to the customer information: which order or which product that they ordered. drafts, abandoned checkouts: this is the products where we can go ahead and add all the list of products we've got: inventory transfers, collections, gift cards, customers: this is going to be everyone that has purchased or even abandoned cart is going to be put into here. all right, so the finance is going to show us our billing cycle payouts, everything regarding our payments. next, analytiks is going to give us a basic understanding of everyone that has visited our website: any orders returning, customer rate, average order value, conversion rate. so this is a very important dashboard right here, but I'll see the live live view and then reports. marketing: we're gonna have all of our marketing channels right here. discounts is where we can create custom discount codes. if I want to go ahead and create a 100 off discount code for myself, I can do that. if I want to create a Black Friday discount code, we can all create it right here. we can have access to the analytiks from there. online store: this is we're going to be able to edit our store. we're gonna have access to the themes right here: blog posts, Pages where we can, you know, set up our shipping policies and whatnot. navigation preferences: we can set up our pixels. so that's it for pretty much the main part of it. and then we have settings where we can see our plan, user permissions, payments, check out shipping and delivery, taxes, all that good stuff. but the first thing that we want to do right now is go to apps and then import our first product. so this is going to be very important. we're going to be searching for zendrop On the App Store, all right. so we're going to type in Zen drop. this is going to allow us to import products from AliExpress, so we're going to go to send drop. we're going to download this app, add the app. all right, so we're gonna go over here and install the app. it's just going to take a couple seconds, all right. so we're going to go ahead and create account. now just set up your password. set up your password, what's up? sign up, all right. so here is the dashboard. right here. we can go ahead and search for various products. you can have your import list right here. so any product that you go and press import, go to import list and you can import it from zendrop to your Shopify store, as long as it's linked, as you can see. we can scroll down here, see various products, but the product that I'm searching for isn't going to be available on this dashboard. I can go right here and check it out so we can go type in. I wanted to sell this uh Samurai umbrella, so this is my example product and I can't find it anywhere here. so I'm just gonna go click this import from AliExpress, the link, copy, paste, link import and it's going to populate onto my import list. alright, so now it's going to direct us to the import list and here we can edit what we want to bring into Shopify. I'm going to exit right here, I'm gonna name this umbrella and then we'll say block. okay, so the description. I don't want any of this stuff because it's not useful, it's not insightful and people are going to notike quite quickly that it's a Drop Shipping Store if they see that in the description. it's pretty obvious and for now I'm going to stik with let's see. per unit. let me go ahead and check real quick. it was the 24K was 17, 15.. so I'm probably going to want to sell this unit which is going to be advertised in the videos. it's the highest quality o.

So, after watching this video, you will be able to create a website like this, where you can add your own products And anyone is visiting your site. they will be able to add your products to their cart and purchase them from your website. So make sure you watch this video till the end to learn how to do it. I am Bryan from Website Learners, and let’s start creating our ecommerce website Now. to create an ecommerce website, First you need to create an account on Shopify. So to create the account on Shopify, Just click the link below this video and it will take you to this page. Now to create an account, Click here And enter your email address. Now click ‘start free trial’ And you will get this page. Now enter a password for your account, So you will need this to log in to your website. Now here you need to enter the name for your store. So I'm going to call my store as ‘Gotokloth’. Now this will also become your website's address. So, for example, if you enter ‘Gotokloth’, your website address will be ‘Gotokloth’myshopifycom? Once you’ve entered these details, Click ‘create your store’ And you will get this page. Now, to complete creating your account, Fill up all these details and then click ‘enter my store’ And now you will get this page. Once you reach this page, it means that you have now successfully created your Shopify account. So Once you have created your Shopify account, your website will also be created. So to check that, let’s open a new tab And type our website address, Which is ‘the name of your store’: DOT, myshopifycom. So I’m going to type gotoklothmyshopifycom. And now, if you press enter, you can see that we have now got our website. So right now we have 2 pages, which is our homepage & our ‘products’ page. Now, if you scroll down, you can see that our site is empty. So Once you’ve got your website, We can now start building it. So we’re going to build our site in just 2 parts. The first part is to ‘Set up your store’ A store is the place where your customers can look at all your products and then purchase them. So once you set up your store, your site will have your own products and your visitors will be able to purchase them. So we are going to set up our store in just 5 steps. The first step is to log in to your Shopify website. So to log in to your website, all you have to do is Just go to your website address And then type /admin. Now this is the address, which will take you to the admin page of your website. So now, if you press enter, You can see that we’re on the admin page where we can control our website. So once you’ve logged in, we can now go to step 2, of setting up our store, which is to ‘add your products to your site’. So to add products, Just click products And click ‘add product’ And it will take you to this page where you need to add the details about your product. So, to add a product to your site, Just enter your product name. here, As I want to sell a T-shirt, I'm going to enter T-shirt, And here you need to enter the details of the product. So lets do that Once you finish entering the details. Now here you need to add an image of the product. So to do that, Just drag an image from your computer and then drop it here. Next, you need to enter the price of the product. So I’m going to enter ‘50$’. Finally, here you need to enter the number of products that are available. So Lets say you have 10 pieces of this product Available in stok, Then just enter 10. here I’m going to enter 10. So, after adding the details of the product, Just scroll up and click ‘save’. And now the product has been successfully added to your website. So if we go to our product page And click ‘refresh’, you can see that we now have our product here. And now, if you click on the product, You can see that we can now buy this product. So this is how you can add a product to your website. In the same way, you can add any number of products you want to your website. Okay, Now, if we click ‘buy now’, You can see that we’re getting this message Which says ‘checkout is not available’ So this means your customers will not be able to buy products from your website. So to let customers buy products from our site, we need to choose a plan for our Shopify account. So let’s go to step 3, which is to ‘Choose a plan on Shopify'. So to do that, let’s go back to Shopify Now, click ‘home’ and then click ‘select a plan’. Now here you can see 3 different plans which you can choose from. You can take a look at these features and select the one you want. I’m going to select this one Now. here you need to choose how often you want to make the payment. I’m going to choose every 30 days. Now, to choose this plan, Let’s click ‘add credit card’ And here it will ask you to enter your card details. Now, if you continue using shopify after 14 days, then your card will be charged. So let’s enter our card details And then click ‘confirm’. Okay, So now we have successfully chosen our plan, which means we can now see our checkout page. So now, if we go to our product page and click ‘buy now’, You can see that we have now got our checkout page And we can add our shipping details. Okay, So let’s enter our details and click ‘continue to shipping' Now, here you can see that we have NO option to make payment. So in order to allow customers to pay for your products, you need to set up your payment method. So next let's go to the step 4, [of setting up our store], which is to set up our payment method. So to set it up, Let’s go back to Shopify. Now click ‘settings’ And then click ‘payments'. Now, here you will find several payment options which you can add to your site. If Shopify payment option is available in your country, You can activate this payment. But If you don't have this option, Just scroll down, select third-party providers And you will find more payment methods which you can add to your site. I’m going to choose ‘stripe’, which is a popular payment method, So lets click that and you will get this page. Now here. you need to fillup these details, So lets do that. Now scroll down, Fillup your bank details where you want to receive your payment. Now, when someone buys a product from your site, the money will be sent to this account, Okay. Next, let’s enter our email and give a password for our stripe account. Now, Once you’ve entered all of these details, Click authorize access to this account. As you can see, we’ve added a payment method to our website, So this means our payment setup is now complete. now, if we go to our checkout page And click ‘refresh’, you can see that, instead of the error message, we can now pay using our card. So now we've successfully set up our payment method. Okay. So, once you’ve set up your payment method, We can go to the final step of setting up our store, which is to ‘Make your site available to your Visitors’. Now, if we open a new browser window And go to our website, You can see that Our site is not yet visible. So, to make your site visible to others, You need to change a setting in Shopify. So to change that setting, Let’s go back to Shopify And click ‘online store’. Now, here you can see that our site is password protected, which means no one else can see it right now. Now, to make your site visible to your visitors, Click ‘disable password’ and it will take you to this page. Now, here, disable this option And click ‘Save’. So now your website will be visible to your customers. So now, if we go back to this tab and click ‘refresh’, You can see that our site is now available to our visitors. Now, if you go to store, we can now see the product we added. So now we've successfully completed setting up our store, And this means anyone who is visiting your site will now be able to buy your products. Now let’s try to buy a product from our site. So to do that, lets go back to our website. Lets go to our store Now, just like a customer would do. lets select this product and

The Only Shopify Dropshipping Guide You Will Ever Need (FOR BEGINNERS)

so if you're anything like me, you probably clicked on this video because you're looking for a brand new way to build sustainable, passive income online from the comfort of your own home, without any fancy degree, prior experience, special talents, handouts or einstein level iq. and whether that's the case or whether you're just interested in learning about new ways that people of any age are working from home in front of their computer to make crazy amounts of money online, i got you. so look. dropshipping has taken off over the past couple years, and i get it. with all the new gurus swirling around online and social media and friends and family toking about it, it can be difficult to get your hands on the right information. it can all seem so overwhelming and ultimately, the easiest thing for you to do is to convince yourself that the business model is too competitive, saturated or dead and not give it the fair shot that it deserves. and that is exactly why i created this video right here: to break down an easy, step-by-step guide into this brand new business model and take your first few steps into the online world of creating a business that is passive, sustainable and can generate you income for years to come from the comfort of your own home and look, i get it. why should you listen to me over some other 21 year old kid making videos in front of his laptop at home? my answer to that is: over the past three years, i've generated over seven million dollars in online sales with e-commerce, created a life of financial freedom and generational wealth for myself through the skills that i've built up, all starting with drop shipping, and my goal is to provide you with real no information with the utmost transparency, without trying to shove a paid video course right down your throat. so i just want to say thank you so much for clicking on this video and congratulations for taking your first few steps into the crazy world of making money online. but, most importantly, grab a pen and paper as you watch this video, because at the end of this video, it'll be time for you to take some serious action and i want you to be prepared. so strap in, clear out a little workspace for yourself and go ahead and smash that like button so i can help impact more people with this real no guide to getting started with drop shipping in 2022.. and just before we jump into the value of this video, i do want to announce the weekly giveaway. remember. all you have to do is go ahead and smash that like button, comment something insightful down below and make sure you subscribe to the channel. the winner will be announced for a custom built drop shipping store built by me and my team, and outright ecom in my next week's video. let's get straight into this, all right. so first things first, load up your computer, go over to google and type in shopifycom or hit the link in my description. if you guys want an extended free trial, click on shopify and click start free trial. go ahead and type in your email and create a password- i recommend creating a brand new gmail account, as it is easier to keep all your business stuff in one place instead of cluttering it in with your personal emails- and create your store name- and, honestly, this part doesn't really matter, because you can always go back and change the name and purchase a new domain name later. so for now, i'm just going to call this nathan's first store- not actually my first store, but that's what we're calling it. shopify is going to go ahead and ask you a few questions, whether you're just starting out or if you're already selling. what you can do is just go ahead and skip this entire part, as it's not super necessary in the beginning and you don't really need to answer those questions. however, you do need to put in your country and then hit enter my store. so if you made it to this part, you actually made it farther than 99 of people who say they're gonna start an online business. you now have your own dashboard and storefront with shopify, so the home page here is basically gonna prompt you to complete a bunch of steps in order to get your store up and running. next thing, we have an orders tab over here which is gonna track and manage all the orders that are gonna be coming through later. the next one: we have products, where you're gonna be managing the different products and inventory that you have. the customer tab, where you're gonna control everything that's customer related in one single place. analytiks, where you're going to see the daily view. you know how much you're making- your average order value, conversion rates- all that important stuff. a marketing channel: we're going to keep track of all the different ways your marketing on your store. discount codes, if you want to make unique discount codes for certain people to shop. and lastly but most importantly, the online store sales channel itself, where you're gonna be creating the website, choosing the theme, adding blog posts, if that's what you want, creating other pages like a contact us and a track your order page, making the navigation menus and the footer menus different preferences about your store. and just before we jump into actually building a store, i do want to run you through just the most important things that you should fix up on your settings. so the first thing, over here in store details, you want to change the currency to usd. i mean, 90 of my customers, i would say, come from the united states and if you're on the same boat, i would recommend having your currency set to usd [Music] and just go ahead and click save. besides that, you can start to fill out your billing information so they can bill you eventually. when you get off of the free trial, you can start to set up staff accounts. if you're working on this business with somebody else, you can start to set up your bank account so that they can actually pay you when you make orders. and beyond that, there's not a whole lot that we need to do in the very beginning in the settings. so now it's time to find our first product so that we can actually start making some sales down here, you'll notike this section called apps. you just want to come over here and click add apps. it'll take you straight to the shopify app store if you click the link at the bottom, and this is where you want to be: to go ahead and get an app that allows you to import a product in one click. now, oberlo was a big app that allowed you to do this before. i'm not even too sure it's still on the shopify app store. no, it's not. in fact, it's been completely removed, and this is the best way for beginners to get started was to use oberlo and one click add a product from aliexpress to their store. but with oberlo gone, we need an alternative, and deezers is actually partnered with overload to kind of pick up and take over where oberlo left off. but good news for you is that deezers is actually a whole lot more complete and allows you to automate so many more tasks that oberlo just didn't have the functionalities for. the first thing you want to do is go ahead and click on this app and then just click add app and it's going to give you again a 14 day free trial, so you don't have to spend any money out of your pocket. go ahead and click install app, and then it's going to prompt you to a page where you need to create an account for yourself. now don't get scared away by the 499 per month enterprise plan, as all we need right now is the basic free plan and just go ahead and click get started. the next thing is that we need to go ahead and link deezers to aliexpress. so if you just click this logo right here, it's going to take us right through to aliexpress and ideally, you want to already have an account set up. if you don't, it's super quick and easy to make an account on aliexpress. just click authorize and then you're going to get this little support bot and obviously what we want to do at this point is start importing products and figuring out which products we want to sell on our store. it's going to take you through a really quick guide, but i don't real.

Shopify Tutorial for Beginners 2022 (FULL Store Setup Guide)

in this shopify tutorial, i'm going to take you through, step by step, how to build a professional shopify store from start to finish. we're going to cover every single step, from signing up to shopify to launching your finished store, ready to sell your products. that includes choosing a theme, customizing your store website, adding products to your store and also important things like setting up your legal pages, your payment providers and your shipping information. i'm also not going to waste your time rambling about things that aren't important and then try to sell you a drop shipping course for 9.97. this video will simply help you getting your shopify store up and running as efficiently as possible, while also learning how to use shopify. so let's get started. so the first step is to go to medicsmediacom forward slash shopify or simply click on the link down below in the video description. this will get you a 14 day free trial for shopify. so do that now and we'll go from there. great. so once we're here, we can simply type in our email address right here and then click on start free trial, and then we also gonna have to set a password for our new shopify account, and down here you can also see the current url of your new shopify store now. you can change that if you want to, but eventually you're going to want to get your own branded domain, something like medicswatchescom anyway, so i wouldn't worry about that too much. and then you can click on create your store. now they want to ask us a couple of questions about our business, which we can actually simply skip right here, and then they ask us for our name and business address, which is actually required in order for us to create a new shopify account. so fill that out right here and then click on enter my store. awesome, so that will take us inside of the shopify dashboard, which is what you're gonna learn how to use in this video. however, we're not gonna cover every single thing here in the shopify dashboard, because a lot of it is self-explanatory and i think the best way to learn everything is to actually start building out your store and then learning by doing learning the features when you actually need them. so i want to dive right into the fun stuff and start building out our store. alright, so the first step is to go ahead and choose a theme for our new online store. so we're going to go to online store here on the left side, then we're going to go to themes, and then we can see that the current theme that is already installed on our online store is the dawn theme. this is the default theme that comes with every new shopify store. now, choosing a theme, you want to make sure that the theme already is kind of the design that you're looking for, the structure of the of the website that you're looking for. so you have a minimal amount of work you have to do until you are ready to launch your store. so what you can do is you can go to actions, click on preview and then you can see how this current theme is actually built up, and then you can decide on if this is actually the right theme for you or if you want to choose a different theme. now, if you want to choose a different theme, you have a couple of different options. so here, when we scroll down, we can see that there are some free themes that we can use that come with the shopify plan, or it can also go to the shopify theme store right here and then also check out paid themes, which you're gonna have to pay for. so what you can do right now is to go through some of these options. i would recommend to first click on explore free themes right here and see if any theme here really fits your brand, your, your kind of store or the products that you want to sell. so eventually, all we have to do then is to add our products, add our branding and add all of our content, and then our store will be ready to go. what i'm gonna do in this video is simply choose one of the free themes right here. so i'm gonna click on explore free themes and i'm actually going to go for the brooklyn theme right here, so i'm going to click on the brooklyn theme. they also have a couple of different styles for each theme, so you can click on different styles and decide on which one you like the most. i'm gonna simply stik to the classic style right here and then i'm gonna click on add to theme library here on the bottom, and then, once the theme has been added, we can see it right here, and in order to actually change from the default theme to the new one we have just added, we need to go to actions right here and then click on publish, then again confirm right here, and now our theme will change to the new theme that we have just added and now we want to start building out our store. so we're going to scroll up again and then we're going to right click on customize and click on add link in a new tab. this way, we still have our shopify dashboard open in the background and we can work on our shopify store in the shopify editor right here at the same time. so now we are in the editor of shopify, which we can use to build out our online store website. so i'm going to give you a quick overview over how this works and then we're going to start to build out our website. so here on the top you can switch from different pages. so right now we are on the home page. you can also switch to your product pages, to your collection pages, blog pages and so on. but most of the work we're gonna do here on the home page and you're gonna see that all the other pages- like product pages, checkout pages- they're already built up for you, so there's not much design that we have to do on these pages. then you can also change from desktop view to mobile view or full screen view. so eventually you want to make sure that your store looks very good on mobile as well, because a lot of the traffic nowadays online comes actually from mobile phones. but however, we're going to build out everything here on the desktop view. then the site is built up in different sections, so it always starts with a header section here on the top and then on all the way in the bottom there's the footer section where you're going to have a couple of links and your legal pages and so on, and in between the header and the footer there are the sections which you can decide what you want to put in here. so by default we have a slideshow section here on the top where you can feature your store or your products, and we also have a menu here on the top which is part of the header. then we have another section, the rich text section. right here we have collection list, we have feature collection and so on. these are all sections that you can add manually and also remove. so, for example, if you want to remove the which, the rich text section, we could simply click on it and then we can click on remove section right here on the bottom. now, depending on what screen size you have, this menu might also display here on the right side for you, but for me it's here on the left side- then you can click on remove section right here and, just like this, this section is now gone from our website. you can also add new sections by clicking on add section here on the bottom left, and then you can decide on what kind of section you want to add. so let's say, we want to add this rich text section. again, we can simply click on which text section, then it will add it here on the bottom and now we can also drag it to another position. so we can drag it here up to maybe below the slideshow, and there we go. we have this section now on our home page again. so let's actually start building, and the way we're going to do it is we're going to simply go from top to bottom and we're going to start with the header. so we're going to click on the header here on the left side and the first thing we're going to do is to add our logo to our store. so i'm going to click on select image right here and then we're going to choose the logo that i have prepared for this specific store. so i'm going to click on upload an image and then i'm going to choose this image right here, which is:
