00:00:00 00:00:04 what's up everyone Carter Maxwell here
00:00:02 00:00:07 and in this video I'll be going over how
00:00:04 00:00:10 you can make your first $1,000 selling
00:00:07 00:00:12 used books on Amazon FBA so the plan for
00:00:10 00:00:14 this video is to address some different
00:00:12 00:00:16 questions that I've had on my past book
00:00:14 00:00:19 selling videos go over some of the more
00:00:16 00:00:21 important tips the more important steps
00:00:19 00:00:23 to building a successful book business
00:00:21 00:00:26 as well as where you can cheaply source
00:00:23 00:00:28 books that are profitable to sell back
00:00:26 00:00:30 on Amazon FBA so before we get to the
00:00:28 00:00:31 content in this video I thought I'd tok
00:00:30 00:00:33 quick little story about one of the
00:00:31 00:00:36 friends that I actually taught this on
00:00:33 00:00:37 Amazon he just let me know a couple days
00:00:36 00:00:41 ago that he sold a book on Amazon for
00:00:37 00:00:43 over $350 which is absolutely insane
00:00:41 00:00:45 because I remember him working at the
00:00:43 00:00:48 local grocery store for like $8 an hour
00:00:45 00:00:50 now he's been selling books on Amazon
00:00:48 00:00:51 for the past 3 or 4 months I'd say and
00:00:50 00:00:54 he's been doing it part-time while still
00:00:51 00:00:55 in high school so that's the reason that
00:00:54 00:00:57 I really like to push these books
00:00:55 00:00:59 selling videos on Amazon and on YouTube
00:00:57 00:01:01 because anyone can do it it doesn't
00:00:59 00:01:03 matter if you're still if you're still
00:01:01 00:01:05 in school if you're in college they have
00:01:03 00:01:07 a full-time job you can do this book
00:01:05 00:01:08 selling business that you're own right
00:01:07 00:01:11 at your own speed and during your own
00:01:08 00:01:12 time during the day and whenever you
00:01:11 00:01:14 sell book on Amazon Amazon is gonna
00:01:12 00:01:16 fulfill that book for you so if you
00:01:14 00:01:18 still 10 bucks today 20 books today it
00:01:16 00:01:20 doesn't matter Amazon is gonna do all
00:01:18 00:01:21 the fulfillment for you so I was a quick
00:01:20 00:01:22 little story I thought to let you know
00:01:21 00:01:24 right before we get into the content
00:01:22 00:01:26 throughout this video I'll be going over
00:01:24 00:01:28 a few different steps that you should
00:01:26 00:01:30 take in order to build a successful and
00:01:28 00:01:33 profitable Amazon book business where
00:01:30 00:01:36 exactly you can source profitable use
00:01:33 00:01:37 books and various other helpful tips so
00:01:36 00:01:39 let's get right into it
00:01:37 00:01:42 step one you're gonna have to create
00:01:39 00:01:44 your amazon seller account now that you
00:01:42 00:01:45 have two different payment plans when it
00:01:44 00:01:47 comes to creating your account the
00:01:45 00:01:49 individual seller plant and the
00:01:47 00:01:51 professional seller plan now the only
00:01:49 00:01:52 reason that you would want to do the
00:01:51 00:01:55 professional souther plan is if you
00:01:52 00:01:56 think you're gonna sell over 40 items a
00:01:55 00:01:58 month and I personally think it's a good
00:01:56 00:02:00 thing to start out with the professional
00:01:58 00:02:02 side plan so it kind of motivates you to
00:02:00 00:02:04 actually stik with the business and get
00:02:02 00:02:06 up as many products as you can now if
00:02:04 00:02:07 you're on a lower of a budget and you
00:02:06 00:02:09 don't really want to make that $40
00:02:07 00:02:10 monthly payment you can just do the
00:02:09 00:02:13 individual seller plan and it's gonna be
00:02:10 00:02:15 a 99 cent fee for each item that you so
00:02:13 00:02:16 now that you've signed up for your
00:02:15 00:02:18 amazon seller account the next thing
00:02:16 00:02:20 you're going to want to do is download
00:02:18 00:02:22 the Amazon seller app sign into the app
00:02:20 00:02:24 and then you're ready to go to start
00:02:22 00:02:26 scanning books and see if they are
00:02:24 00:02:27 profitable or not and the next step I'm
00:02:26 00:02:29 going to show you how exactly you should
00:02:27 00:02:30 analyze ebooks see if there's enough
00:02:29 00:02:33 profit to be made in these ebooks
00:02:30 00:02:35 understand what a sales rank is what a
00:02:33 00:02:37 good sales rank is for a book and how to
00:02:35 00:02:40 determine the condition of a book so in
00:02:37 00:02:43 a step to understanding what a sales
00:02:40 00:02:45 rank is so on Amazon each individual
00:02:43 00:02:47 product has its own sales rank based on
00:02:45 00:02:49 how well and how often that individual
00:02:47 00:02:51 product is selling so the lower the
00:02:49 00:02:53 sales rank that product has the more
00:02:51 00:02:55 often it's selling on Amazon and when it
00:02:53 00:02:57 comes to sells ring for books I highly
00:02:55 00:02:59 recommend that you stay under a 1
00:02:57 00:03:01 million sales rate at least when you're
00:02:59 00:03:03 starting out now you can go into some
00:03:01 00:03:06 higher sales rank books if the profits
00:03:03 00:03:08 at least 20 30 or $40 higher and I'll
00:03:06 00:03:10 show you a few examples of that a little
00:03:08 00:03:12 bit later on in this video now when it
00:03:10 00:03:15 comes to under a hundred thousand sales
00:03:12 00:03:17 rank under 50,000 sales rank those could
00:03:15 00:03:18 skin those could sell the day they check
00:03:17 00:03:20 in an Amazon warehouse or sometime
00:03:18 00:03:22 within that week because under a hundred
00:03:20 00:03:23 thousand sales rank that book is most
00:03:22 00:03:25 likely selling a few different times
00:03:23 00:03:27 throughout the week now that you
00:03:25 00:03:29 understand what a bestsellers rank is
00:03:27 00:03:31 you not either understand how to price
00:03:29 00:03:34 your books on Amazon and for new sellers
00:03:31 00:03:35 a lot of them like to base the market
00:03:34 00:03:38 price of that book based on what the
00:03:35 00:03:40 lowest price is and most most times the
00:03:38 00:03:41 lowest price for that book are gonna be
00:03:40 00:03:44 from merchants sellers now when you're
00:03:41 00:03:47 using FBA you are going to be competing
00:03:44 00:03:49 against other FBA sellers and FBA
00:03:47 00:03:51 sellers tend to get higher price points
00:03:49 00:03:53 tend to sell their books for higher
00:03:51 00:03:55 prices than what merchant sellers sell
00:03:53 00:03:58 theirs for because FBA products are
00:03:55 00:03:59 going to be eligible for 2-day free
00:03:58 00:04:02 shipping on Amazon so people are going
00:03:59 00:04:03 to be willing to pay a lot more so make
00:04:02 00:04:05 sure that when you're scanning books and
00:04:03 00:04:06 you're trying to analyze the market
00:04:05 00:04:08 price for that book make sure you were
00:04:06 00:04:10 looking at FBA prices and not the
00:04:08 00:04:12 merchant fulfilled prices now as an
00:04:10 00:04:14 Amazon bookseller understanding the
00:04:12 00:04:17 condition of a book is extremely
00:04:14 00:04:18 important as a seller because condition
00:04:17 00:04:20 of the book plays a big role and where
00:04:18 00:04:22 exactly you're going to price your book
00:04:20 00:04:23 obviously the better condition of the
00:04:22 00:04:25 book the higher price point you're going
00:04:23 00:04:26 to be able to sell it for now a quick
00:04:25 00:04:27 example right here when you go to
00:04:26 00:04:29 allotted
00:04:27 00:04:31 library sales and stuff like that you're
00:04:29 00:04:33 gonna run in Ex library books as you can
00:04:31 00:04:35 see there's usually like a stiker right
00:04:33 00:04:37 here and then there's a stiker on the
00:04:35 00:04:39 back and usually there's something maybe
00:04:37 00:04:42 inside where there's another as well
00:04:39 00:04:45 when it comes to X library books I never
00:04:42 00:04:46 put them a condition over very good I
00:04:45 00:04:48 mean they're only usually good or
00:04:46 00:04:50 acceptable so when it comes to X library
00:04:48 00:04:52 of books you just can't really get away
00:04:50 00:04:53 with very good I mean you could but
00:04:52 00:04:56 think of it in the sense as what if
00:04:53 00:04:57 you're buying a very good book on Amazon
00:04:56 00:04:59 and you get it and it's some X library
00:04:57 00:05:01 book with a bunch of stikers on the
00:04:59 00:05:02 front a bunch of writing and stikers on
00:05:01 00:05:04 the side like are you gonna be happy
00:05:02 00:05:05 with that so when it comes to being like
00:05:04 00:05:07 a seller on Amazon you have to be able
00:05:05 00:05:10 to determine the different condition
00:05:07 00:05:11 notes of a book now luckily as an Amazon
00:05:10 00:05:14 seller you actually have five different
00:05:11 00:05:16 condition notes that you can choose from
00:05:14 00:05:19 for your books you have acceptable good
00:05:16 00:05:21 very good like new in new so five
00:05:19 00:05:23 different conditions that you can pick
00:05:21 00:05:25 from now don't be the person don't be
00:05:23 00:05:28 the seller that lies about the condition
00:05:25 00:05:29 of the book if a book has some folded
00:05:28 00:05:31 pages or maybe if there are some
00:05:29 00:05:32 markings in it and you think you can get
00:05:31 00:05:34 will get get away with very good
00:05:32 00:05:36 condition or like new condition well the
00:05:34 00:05:38 worst case scenario is someone can go in
00:05:36 00:05:40 order that book that's very good or like
00:05:38 00:05:42 new condition they get that book and
00:05:40 00:05:43 they're not satisfied with a condition
00:05:42 00:05:45 another book maybe there's something
00:05:43 00:05:46 that's folded in the book maybe there's
00:05:45 00:05:48 some riding inside of it and then
00:05:46 00:05:50 they're gonna result in leaving you a
00:05:48 00:05:52 negative feedback on your seller couch
00:05:50 00:05:53 which is gonna hurt your metrics it's
00:05:52 00:05:56 gonna hurt your chance of winning the
00:05:53 00:05:58 buy box for future books so you just
00:05:56 00:05:59 really don't want to mess around with
00:05:58 00:06:01 different sellers making a sellers
00:05:59 00:06:04 unhappy so make sure that you're honest
00:06:01 00:06:06 when it comes to putting the condition
00:06:04 00:06:08 for your book so step number three is
00:06:06 00:06:10 going to be sourcing your books now
00:06:08 00:06:12 there are a ton of different locations
00:06:10 00:06:14 and places that you can source books
00:06:12 00:06:16 from if a beaker Rodge sales thrift
00:06:14 00:06:18 stores book sales or even around your
00:06:16 00:06:20 house there are great ways to source
00:06:18 00:06:21 books and there you can usually get them
00:06:20 00:06:25 pretty cheaply around anywhere from an
00:06:21 00:06:26 average buy cost of around $1 to $3 so
00:06:25 00:06:28 within this step I'm going to break down
00:06:26 00:06:31 some of the more popular places that you
00:06:28 00:06:32 can go to source books and how exactly
00:06:31 00:06:34 you can scale your book business by
00:06:32 00:06:36 going to these certain places and buying
00:06:34 00:06:38 in bulk the first place that you can
00:06:36 00:06:40 source books from are going to be garage
00:06:38 00:06:41 sales my garage sales are a great way to
00:06:40 00:06:43 get
00:06:41 00:06:46 for an extremely extremely low by cost
00:06:43 00:06:48 because all prices at garage sales are
00:06:46 00:06:50 usually negotiable so if you can bundle
00:06:48 00:06:51 couple of books together or a couple of
00:06:50 00:06:52 different items together usually you can
00:06:51 00:06:55 get your buy cost anywhere under a
00:06:52 00:06:57 dollar or fifty cents now when it comes
00:06:55 00:06:58 to garage sales I mean they're hit or
00:06:57 00:07:00 miss some garage sales are gonna have
00:06:58 00:07:02 like 50 bucks give me a nice collection
00:07:00 00:07:04 and some garage sales there might not be
00:07:02 00:07:06 any books it's kind of a hit or miss
00:07:04 00:07:07 it's something that you can just kind of
00:07:06 00:07:08 roll up to see if there's anything good
00:07:07 00:07:10 in there if there's not just go to the
00:07:08 00:07:12 next garage sales are also a huge
00:07:10 00:07:14 opportunity for people looking to get
00:07:12 00:07:16 rid of things that they under value so
00:07:14 00:07:17 maybe if they went to college for a
00:07:16 00:07:19 different subject maybe they're looking
00:07:17 00:07:21 ready to get old textbooks I'm old
00:07:19 00:07:23 self-help books those are the really
00:07:21 00:07:25 really big money is so if you can find
00:07:23 00:07:27 those get them for an extremely low buy
00:07:25 00:07:29 cost garage sales are probably gonna be
00:07:27 00:07:31 your best way to find those really
00:07:29 00:07:33 really high margin high profit books so
00:07:31 00:07:35 the second place you can source books
00:07:33 00:07:36 from are going to be thrift stores now
00:07:35 00:07:38 what I really like about thrift stores
00:07:36 00:07:40 is depending on where you live they are
00:07:38 00:07:43 everywhere and they're open most the
00:07:40 00:07:44 time seven days a week so if you want to
00:07:43 00:07:46 take a trip somewhere you want to go out
00:07:44 00:07:47 all day they're gonna be open from the
00:07:46 00:07:49 morning and sell the evening and with
00:07:47 00:07:52 when you're in thrift stores there are
00:07:49 00:07:54 thousands and thousands of books that
00:07:52 00:07:56 you can scan from in each and every day
00:07:54 00:07:58 the workers at those stores are updating
00:07:56 00:08:00 the shelves with new books that have
00:07:58 00:08:02 been picked over yet which gives you a
00:08:00 00:08:03 really big opportunity to go in actually
00:08:02 00:08:05 go to certain sections because usually
00:08:03 00:08:07 good wills and savers will have a
00:08:05 00:08:08 certain sections or certain books
00:08:07 00:08:11 sectioned off depending on what the John
00:08:08 00:08:13 were is if it's like a history book if
00:08:11 00:08:15 it's gonna be a textbook children's
00:08:13 00:08:17 books things like that so you can easily
00:08:15 00:08:19 be a lot more efficient in these thrift
00:08:17 00:08:21 stores now when sourcing books at thrift
00:08:19 00:08:23 stores compared to garage sales the
00:08:21 00:08:25 prices are gonna be a lot higher up
00:08:23 00:08:27 there stores anywhere usually depends on
00:08:25 00:08:29 if it's a hardback or paperback anywhere
00:08:27 00:08:31 from probably two to four dollars per
00:08:29 00:08:33 book now you just need to adjust do not
00:08:31 00:08:35 gonna be able to have the same mindset
00:08:33 00:08:36 that you have at a garage so or oh I'm
00:08:35 00:08:38 gonna buy this book for a dollar and
00:08:36 00:08:39 make a minimum $5 profit well now you're
00:08:38 00:08:41 gonna be paying anywhere from three to
00:08:39 00:08:43 four dollars per book and instead of a
00:08:41 00:08:44 minimum five dollar profit you're
00:08:43 00:08:46 probably gonna want at least a six or
00:08:44 00:08:48 seven dollar profit depending on the
00:08:46 00:08:50 sells regular book and how quickly it's
00:08:48 00:08:52 selling so the third and final location
00:08:50 00:08:54 I'll be toking about where you can
00:08:52 00:08:55 source books from are going to be book
00:08:54 00:08:56 sales now
00:08:55 00:08:58 if you're interested in finding book
00:08:56 00:09:00 sales I usually look on the website
00:08:58 00:09:02 called book sale finder calm
00:09:00 00:09:03 I go to my state and it shows all the
00:09:02 00:09:05 sales for the next couple of months
00:09:03 00:09:07 mapped out where exactly they are in an
00:09:05 00:09:09 estimate of how many books are gonna be
00:09:07 00:09:11 at those sales now what I really like
00:09:09 00:09:13 about book sales is that you're gonna be
00:09:11 00:09:14 able to purchase books and bulk and
00:09:13 00:09:17 they're not going to be picked over and
00:09:14 00:09:19 what I mean by not picked over is that
00:09:17 00:09:21 when it comes to like thrift stores and
00:09:19 00:09:22 stuff someone like before you get there
00:09:21 00:09:24 someone might have already come in and
00:09:22 00:09:26 scan every single book there and got
00:09:24 00:09:28 every profitable book so then when you
00:09:26 00:09:30 show up you can't find anything now when
00:09:28 00:09:31 it comes to these book sales most likely
00:09:30 00:09:33 they're not going to be picked over
00:09:31 00:09:35 which means it's free game which means
00:09:33 00:09:37 you need to be the first one in line
00:09:35 00:09:39 when that book so opens so that you can
00:09:37 00:09:41 go to the most profitable sections and
00:09:39 00:09:43 get every single book that's gonna make
00:09:41 00:09:45 you money and I personally think that
00:09:43 00:09:47 book sales are gonna be the best way for
00:09:45 00:09:49 you to make a ton of money in a very
00:09:47 00:09:50 very short amount of time because I mean
00:09:49 00:09:52 I can tell you a story of where I walked
00:09:50 00:09:54 in the book sales before and just come
00:09:52 00:09:56 out with like two or two hundred fifty
00:09:54 00:09:58 three hundred profitable books and let's
00:09:56 00:09:59 just say each of those books are making
00:09:58 00:10:01 me five dollars profit I just walked in
00:09:59 00:10:03 and probably spent anywhere from around
00:10:01 00:10:06 200 to 300 dollars probably just saying
00:10:03 00:10:07 an average of a $1 buy cost per book and
00:10:06 00:10:09 if I'm making at least anywhere from
00:10:07 00:10:11 five to ten dollars profit per book I
00:10:09 00:10:13 mean that's anywhere from two thousand
00:10:11 00:10:15 and three thousand dollars profit from
00:10:13 00:10:16 that one haul depending on how long it
00:10:15 00:10:18 took me even if it took me a couple
00:10:16 00:10:20 hours I'm in the same location I'm
00:10:18 00:10:22 buying in bulk and when you're buying a
00:10:20 00:10:24 book at these books is usually you can
00:10:22 00:10:26 negotiate and get a bulk discount or
00:10:24 00:10:28 sometimes on the different sites they'll
00:10:26 00:10:30 have different sales on the last day
00:10:28 00:10:31 like maybe you fill a bag sell for five
00:10:30 00:10:34 dollars will they give you like a
00:10:31 00:10:36 grocery bag and if you can fit as many
00:10:34 00:10:38 books in that bag as you can for five
00:10:36 00:10:40 dollars so maybe instead of paying $1.00
00:10:38 00:10:41 per book you can fit ten dollars into
00:10:40 00:10:43 that bag and you're only paying five
00:10:41 00:10:46 dollars which make your your buy cost
00:10:43 00:10:48 per book fifty cents times two hundred
00:10:46 00:10:50 bucks you're saving a hundred bucks 150
00:10:48 00:10:52 bucks depending on the quantity that
00:10:50 00:10:53 you're buying so let's get into a few
00:10:52 00:10:55 live examples of books that will
00:10:53 00:10:57 actually scan and I'll analyze the data
00:10:55 00:10:59 for you guys so starting out the first
00:10:57 00:11:01 book alright the use is just the Amazon
00:10:59 00:11:03 seller up on your phone use the scanning
00:11:01 00:11:06 feature and just scan the barcode on the
00:11:03 00:11:07 book then it's going to be able to pull
00:11:06 00:11:07 up you not be able to see it on the
00:11:07 00:11:09 camera
00:11:07 00:11:11 I'll put hopefully I'll try to put up
00:11:09 00:11:13 being shot on the video someone they
00:11:11 00:11:16 analyzed this book real quick so a sales
00:11:13 00:11:19 rank of 250 1000 and the spook is
00:11:16 00:11:21 obviously used now you can see that the
00:11:19 00:11:24 lowest price for this book is 7 dollars
00:11:21 00:11:26 and 27 cents now remember we're selling
00:11:24 00:11:28 these books on FBA we're doing
00:11:26 00:11:31 fulfillment by Amazon as you can see
00:11:28 00:11:34 there are no current offers for this
00:11:31 00:11:35 book there are zero zero offers for this
00:11:34 00:11:38 book which means we can price it
00:11:35 00:11:40 whatever price point that we want so now
00:11:38 00:11:43 that I'm scrolling through and looking
00:11:40 00:11:45 at some of the different price points it
00:11:43 00:11:47 quickly shoots up to about 14 dollars
00:11:45 00:11:50 for a very good condition so now that we
00:11:47 00:11:51 can price it out whatever we want
00:11:50 00:11:53 there's no sellers selling it FBA
00:11:51 00:11:56 I would probably price this buck around
00:11:53 00:11:59 $14.99 even though the lowest price is
00:11:56 00:12:01 727 that's for a merchant seller our
00:11:59 00:12:03 products are eligible for 2-day prime
00:12:01 00:12:05 shipping and people will pay a lot more
00:12:03 00:12:07 money to be able to have that two-day
00:12:05 00:12:10 prime shipping feature so most likely
00:12:07 00:12:11 with no other sellers even if it's a
00:12:10 00:12:14 good condition because this was a book
00:12:11 00:12:16 that had had some library stikers on it
00:12:14 00:12:18 so I wouldn't I wouldn't list it over
00:12:16 00:12:21 good condition than that so a good
00:12:18 00:12:24 condition I priced it at $14.99 so let's
00:12:21 00:12:27 go to the next book let's see all right
00:12:24 00:12:30 let's use this big - this right here
00:12:27 00:12:33 this this is gonna be a higher sales
00:12:30 00:12:36 rank book I think yes this one is a 2
00:12:33 00:12:37 million sales rank obviously it's a
00:12:36 00:12:40 Christmas book so it's probably not
00:12:37 00:12:44 gonna sell though Christmas time but the
00:12:40 00:12:46 lowest price FBA is $69 and 88 cents
00:12:44 00:12:48 which is a very very high price point
00:12:46 00:12:50 even though the rank is super high like
00:12:48 00:12:52 I mentioned you should stand our 1
00:12:50 00:12:54 million sales rank well the only time
00:12:52 00:12:56 you should be going over a 1 million
00:12:54 00:12:58 sales rank is if your profit is
00:12:56 00:13:00 increasing so usually when I go over 1
00:12:58 00:13:03 million sales rank I'm at least looking
00:13:00 00:13:06 for a 20 30 40 dollar profit per book
00:13:03 00:13:08 and a book selling around $70 I mean
00:13:06 00:13:10 this is a smaller book I'm not sure what
00:13:08 00:13:12 the storage fees would be probably went
00:13:10 00:13:14 anywhere from 5 cents 10 cents a month
00:13:12 00:13:16 so even if this book did not sell till
00:13:14 00:13:19 Christmas this is the month of February
00:13:16 00:13:22 right now so if it took 10 months for it
00:13:19 00:13:22 to sell and let's just say at the max
00:13:22 00:13:25 its
00:13:22 00:13:27 10 cents per month for this book to be
00:13:25 00:13:29 stored at Amazon we're paying $1 in
00:13:27 00:13:32 storage fees let's just say we paid $1
00:13:29 00:13:34 for the book so our total buy cost is $2
00:13:32 00:13:38 if we're selling it for $70
00:13:34 00:13:41 let's put into our Amazon calculator $70
00:13:38 00:13:43 we're gonna be making $55 - the two
00:13:41 00:13:44 hours we paid for so we're gonna make in
00:13:43 00:13:46 53 dollars in profit even though it took
00:13:44 00:13:49 10 months to sell it doesn't matter
00:13:46 00:13:51 because we bought it for $1 storage fees
00:13:49 00:13:53 add it up and it's still a dollar so $2
00:13:51 00:13:55 by cost even if it does take 10 months
00:13:53 00:13:57 to sell we'll still be able to make 53
00:13:55 00:14:00 dollars in profit on it so honest step 4
00:13:57 00:14:02 once you understand the sales rank how
00:14:00 00:14:03 to competitively price your book how to
00:14:02 00:14:06 determine the condition of your book and
00:14:03 00:14:09 where you can source books from once
00:14:06 00:14:12 you've built up a profitable collection
00:14:09 00:14:13 of anywhere from 30 40 50 100 profitable
00:14:12 00:14:16 books now it's time to create your
00:14:13 00:14:18 Amazon sellers shipment so now that you
00:14:16 00:14:19 have all your profitable books ready to
00:14:18 00:14:22 go you're gonna have to individually
00:14:19 00:14:23 enter each one into your shipping plan
00:14:22 00:14:24 so let's just say you have a hundred
00:14:23 00:14:26 books you're gonna have to take each
00:14:24 00:14:29 book put it into your shipping plan
00:14:26 00:14:31 choose a condition of the book do some
00:14:29 00:14:33 research to see what would be the best
00:14:31 00:14:35 price point to competitively price your
00:14:33 00:14:37 book on Amazon and then you're going to
00:14:35 00:14:38 enter into this shipping plan once all
00:14:37 00:14:40 your products are entered into this
00:14:38 00:14:42 shipping plan you're then gonna need to
00:14:40 00:14:44 label the products now you have two
00:14:42 00:14:46 different options when it comes to
00:14:44 00:14:48 labeling each product you can label them
00:14:46 00:14:52 yourself so usually I use like a 30 up
00:14:48 00:14:54 label sheet and Amazon be able to print
00:14:52 00:14:57 each of the SKUs each of the SKUs for
00:14:54 00:14:59 each book on the 30th label so for a
00:14:57 00:15:01 hundred hundred books it's gonna take
00:14:59 00:15:03 four pages it's pretty cheap all it is
00:15:01 00:15:05 is just the cost of the 30 up labels and
00:15:03 00:15:08 then the ink and you're gonna
00:15:05 00:15:10 individually pair tear off each little
00:15:08 00:15:13 label and put it over the barcode of the
00:15:10 00:15:14 book so the amazon knows when they
00:15:13 00:15:16 receive your shipment they scan that
00:15:14 00:15:19 book and boom it's active and for sale
00:15:16 00:15:21 on Amazon now the second option is to
00:15:19 00:15:24 have Amazon do that for you now they are
00:15:21 00:15:26 gonna charge you a small fee of 20 cents
00:15:24 00:15:28 per book so I mean a hundred books times
00:15:26 00:15:30 twenty cents it's not going to be too
00:15:28 00:15:31 much compared to if you were actually go
00:15:30 00:15:33 through the process have to order a
00:15:31 00:15:35 hundred sheets of 30 up labels so when
00:15:33 00:15:36 it comes down to it it's really your
00:15:35 00:15:38 choice I mean
00:15:36 00:15:40 are you willing to pay an extra 20 cents
00:15:38 00:15:42 to skip that process and have an Amazon
00:15:40 00:15:44 label them for you it's really all up to
00:15:42 00:15:46 you now once all your books are labeled
00:15:44 00:15:47 or if you're gonna have Amazon labeled
00:15:46 00:15:48 them you're gonna have to pack them
00:15:47 00:15:50 accordingly
00:15:48 00:15:52 to where Amazon wants you to send
00:15:50 00:15:55 certain books to certain warehouses now
00:15:52 00:15:56 Amazon is usually gonna split into three
00:15:55 00:15:58 different shipments is what I've usually
00:15:56 00:16:00 seen when selling books so if I have a
00:15:58 00:16:02 hundred books one location is gonna have
00:16:00 00:16:05 probably two thirds of it so probably
00:16:02 00:16:07 like 66 other books are gonna go to one
00:16:05 00:16:10 location probably like 20 to another
00:16:07 00:16:12 then ten to another there is a setting
00:16:10 00:16:14 on Amazon where you can actually change
00:16:12 00:16:16 it it's called it's in the inventory
00:16:14 00:16:19 placement section and you can actually
00:16:16 00:16:22 have it default to have you sent all
00:16:19 00:16:24 your books to one location so instead of
00:16:22 00:16:26 having to make a few different boxes to
00:16:24 00:16:28 send a different locations you can just
00:16:26 00:16:31 make one big box of three big boxes and
00:16:28 00:16:32 have them send to one warehouse location
00:16:31 00:16:34 which can save you a little bit of time
00:16:32 00:16:37 when it comes to processing and building
00:16:34 00:16:39 it but most likely when all those books
00:16:37 00:16:41 arrive at the warehouse they're then
00:16:39 00:16:42 going to keep probably a large majority
00:16:41 00:16:43 of those books but some of the books
00:16:42 00:16:45 they're gonna go and they're gonna
00:16:43 00:16:47 disperse them to other warehouses as
00:16:45 00:16:48 well so before that product will get
00:16:47 00:16:50 live it might take a little bit longer
00:16:48 00:16:52 but that could save you some time could
00:16:50 00:16:54 save you some money a set of something
00:16:52 00:16:56 you're looking to so the fifth and final
00:16:54 00:16:58 step in the process is just to stay
00:16:56 00:17:01 consistent with it stay consistent and
00:16:58 00:17:03 this book selling business keep sourcing
00:17:01 00:17:04 keep creating shipments keep feeding the
00:17:03 00:17:06 bees keep shipping items to the
00:17:04 00:17:08 warehouse and once your items are at the
00:17:06 00:17:10 warehouse keep managing them keep
00:17:08 00:17:11 updating prices to where that you're
00:17:10 00:17:13 competitive and you'll be the next sale
00:17:11 00:17:15 or the next few sales and just keep
00:17:13 00:17:17 rinse and repeating the process keep
00:17:15 00:17:19 going through and keep sourcing from
00:17:17 00:17:22 different locations keep going to garage
00:17:19 00:17:23 sales book sales keep amassing big large
00:17:22 00:17:25 amounts of profitable books creating
00:17:23 00:17:28 shipments and managing pricing so they
00:17:25 00:17:30 can scale your book business now this is
00:17:28 00:17:32 an amazing business model for anyone at
00:17:30 00:17:34 any age to make additional income
00:17:32 00:17:36 selling use books on Amazon it doesn't
00:17:34 00:17:37 matter if you're still in school it
00:17:36 00:17:39 doesn't matter if you have a full-time
00:17:37 00:17:41 job you're able to run this business at
00:17:39 00:17:43 your own pace and during your own hours
00:17:41 00:17:45 and every time a book sells on Amazon
00:17:43 00:17:47 Amazon is gonna do all the hard work for

00:17:47 00:17:49 and they're gonna find where
