00:01:37	00:01:41	purchasing books too so on Amazon and I
00:01:39	00:01:43	like to go over the sales rank so a
00:01:41	00:01:46	sales rank is basically Amazon's way of
00:01:43	00:01:48	letting you know how well and how often
00:01:46	00:01:51	an item is selling so for each category
00:01:48	00:01:53	in each product on Amazon as it has its
00:01:51	00:01:55	own individual sales rank and within
00:01:53	00:01:58	that sales rank the lower the sales rank
00:01:55	00:02:00	it is the more often it sells and
00:01:58	00:02:02	depending on the category in the sales
00:02:00	00:02:04	rank it's gonna fluctuate depending on
00:02:02	00:02:06	how many units it sells per month so
00:02:04	00:02:08	what I like to stay under is a million
00:02:06	00:02:09	sales rank and I use
00:02:08	00:02:11	like to stand that sales rank because
00:02:09	00:02:12	that's gonna take anywhere from I've
00:02:11	00:02:16	seen anywhere from one month to three
00:02:12	00:02:17	months to so-and-so one hundred under a
00:02:16	00:02:20	hundred thousand sales rank it's gonna
00:02:17	00:02:21	be like a super quick sale I mean it
00:02:20	00:02:23	could possibly sell within a week or two
00:02:21	00:02:25	depending on how competitive your
00:02:23	00:02:27	pricing is and obviously when the next
00:02:25	00:02:28	person was going to purchase it and I
00:02:27	00:02:29	know some people go over and they find
00:02:28	00:02:31	these books that are like a couple
00:02:29	00:02:33	million around like three or four
00:02:31	00:02:35	million ring and yes I've actually
00:02:33	00:02:38	purchased those books and you'll learn
00:02:35	00:02:41	like along the way kind of what sales
00:02:38	00:02:42	rings you're gonna stik to but usually
00:02:41	00:02:45	I like to stik on to that million sales
00:02:42	00:02:46	rank and the lowest price I usually go
00:02:45	00:02:48	around is probably around that twelve or
00:02:46	00:02:50	thirteen dollar range because mainly I'm
00:02:48	00:02:52	getting these books for a fifty cents to
00:02:50	00:02:54	two dollars and so I'm netting about
00:02:52	00:02:55	seven or eight dollars per unit so I
00:02:54	00:02:58	mean one dollar to eight dollars I'll
00:02:55	00:03:00	take that any day but you also see those
00:02:58	00:03:02	books there's somewhat around that 25 to
00:03:00	00:03:04	hundred dollar range and sometimes
00:03:02	00:03:05	they're not the lowest ranks obviously
00:03:04	00:03:07	because the higher price of the book
00:03:05	00:03:09	probably the less often that book is
00:03:07	00:03:12	gonna sell so I like I've actually gone
00:03:09	00:03:14	up to I think a five million rank before
00:03:12	00:03:16	five or six million and the book is
00:03:14	00:03:18	around a hundred hundred fifty dollars
00:03:16	00:03:19	and most people think it's a no-brainer
00:03:18	00:03:22	but there's a couple things actually
00:03:19	00:03:23	going to that sales ranks first off a
00:03:22	00:03:26	four or five million sales rank is gonna
00:03:23	00:03:28	take a long time to sell it might take a
00:03:26	00:03:30	year to sell but think about and then
00:03:28	00:03:31	perspective as what you're investing in
00:03:30	00:03:34	that product saying you purchase that
00:03:31	00:03:37	book for a dollar and ask five million
00:03:34	00:03:41	sales rank but the lowest price is $150
00:03:37	00:03:43	used let's say you list that at 9999 so
00:03:41	00:03:46	you listen it for $100 let's just say it
00:03:43	00:03:47	takes a year to sell okay so you're
00:03:46	00:03:49	paying like a storage cost of if it's
00:03:47	00:03:51	like a small paperback I think it's like
00:03:49	00:03:52	two to three cents per month if it's the
00:03:51	00:03:55	kind of a larger hardback maybe it's
00:03:52	00:03:57	four or five cents so over a year span
00:03:55	00:03:59	you're paying anywhere from 50 cents to
00:03:57	00:04:00	60 cents to store that book at the
00:03:59	00:04:02	Amazon warehouse and let's just say you
00:04:00	00:04:04	purchase it for a dollar so your buy
00:04:02	00:04:06	cost is under $2 and it might take a
00:04:04	00:04:08	year to sell but you're cashing out once
00:04:06	00:04:10	a hundred dollar payment which is
00:04:08	00:04:12	definitely worth it but mainly I like to
00:04:10	00:04:14	look for the quick flips those flips are
00:04:12	00:04:16	gonna be under that 1 million sales rank
00:04:14	00:04:17	now I'm paying a dollar for making
00:04:16	00:04:19	anywhere from eight to fifteen dollars
00:04:17	00:04:21	in profit but that's just kind of
00:04:19	00:04:23	demo of what sells rings to look for

00:04:40	00:04:45	because you're not going to be paying a
00:04:41	00:04:47	per unit fee because if you do the the
00:04:45	00:04:49	free one you're gonna be paying a 99
00:04:47	00:04:52	cent fee for each product that you sell
00:04:49	00:04:53	so I mean if you sell it at $40 40

00:04:53	00:04:57	move over to the pro version so I view
00:04:56	00:04:59	every Amazon the seller account you get

00:04:59	00:05:02	within the app you can actually scan and
00:05:01	00:05:05	each time you scan a book it's gonna
00:05:02	00:05:07	pull up a small database of the title
00:05:05	00:05:09	the different prices for merchants
00:05:07	00:05:10	fulfilling in FBA filling remember we're
00:05:09	00:05:13	selling on FBA so make sure you're
00:05:10	00:05:15	looking at the used FBA prices as well
00:05:13	00:05:18	as the sales rank of the product and
00:05:15	00:05:20	after you have your cellphone your
00:05:18	00:05:22	Amazon seller account the Amazon seller
00:05:20	00:05:23	app last thing you need is just a little
00:05:22	00:05:25	bit of extra cash to purchase some of
00:05:23	00:05:27	these use books now that you understand
00:05:25	00:05:29	that sales ranks when selling books on
00:05:27	00:05:31	Amazon as well as you know how the
00:05:29	00:05:33	necessary materials to complete this
00:05:31	00:05:35	process it's all about finding it the
00:05:33	00:05:37	best places to source books and find the
00:05:35	00:05:40	most profitable items to then resell
00:05:37	00:05:42	back on Amazon FBA so the first place to
00:05:40	00:05:44	look is around your house you'd be
00:05:42	00:05:47	surprised just the amount of old
00:05:44	00:05:48	textbooks old books that you don't you
00:05:47	00:05:51	no longer use no longer read they're
00:05:48	00:05:53	actually worth a lot of money so just go
00:05:51	00:05:55	through scan all of them and sometimes
00:05:53	00:05:57	some older books they don't have like
00:05:55	00:05:58	the barcode they can just scan use nap
00:05:57	00:06:01	so you have to scroll through you the
00:05:58	00:06:04	first couple of pages and find the ISBN
00:06:01	00:06:05	and then mainly type it in so once
00:06:04	00:06:07	you've finished searching around your
00:06:05	00:06:09	house but with the second best place is
00:06:07	00:06:11	gonna be garage shows now unfortunately
00:06:09	00:06:13	garage sales are only going to be during
00:06:11	00:06:15	mainly a certain type of the year
00:06:13	00:06:17	and it also depends kind of where you
00:06:15	00:06:18	live within the United States if it's
00:06:17	00:06:20	winter or not obviously there's probably
00:06:18	00:06:23	not gonna be too many garage sales
00:06:20	00:06:25	but garage sales usually happen on that
00:06:23	00:06:26	Friday morning and Saturday morning as
00:06:25	00:06:28	well and you always want to be the early
00:06:26	00:06:29	bird you want to be the first one to the
00:06:28	00:06:30	sale and find those products cuz you
00:06:29	00:06:32	never know if another
00:06:30	00:06:34	seller is going to be there first and
00:06:32	00:06:36	the thing with garage sales is you can
00:06:34	00:06:38	always bargain the prices and if you
00:06:36	00:06:41	find multiple books that are profitable
00:06:38	00:06:42	you can often bargain the person down
00:06:41	00:06:46	and just bundle them together and get a
00:06:42	00:06:47	better price per unit and the also
00:06:46	00:06:49	another good thing about garage sales is
00:06:47	00:06:50	people are trying to get rid of their
00:06:49	00:06:52	stuff and especially if they're getting
00:06:50	00:06:54	rid of books I mean you can get them
00:06:52	00:06:56	extremely cheap I get them anywhere from
00:06:54	00:06:58	like 25 cents to a dollar and if I
00:06:56	00:07:00	bundle them I can get them even cheaper
00:06:58	00:07:02	so after garage sales because I mean
00:07:00	00:07:04	they only happen like two times a week
00:07:02	00:07:07	that Friday morning is Saturday morning
00:07:04	00:07:09	thrift stores aren't gonna be the next
00:07:07	00:07:11	place to source and thrift stores open
00:07:09	00:07:13	seven days a week and they're just about
00:07:11	00:07:14	everywhere depending on your location
00:07:13	00:07:18	and I usually go to
00:07:14	00:07:19	goodwills Sabres and there's kind of
00:07:18	00:07:21	some of those small mom-and-pop thrift
00:07:19	00:07:23	stores that are somewhat hard to find
00:07:21	00:07:25	and other resellers probably don't know
00:07:23	00:07:28	too much about for instance I have a
00:07:25	00:07:29	local one to me in my city as well and
00:07:28	00:07:30	they have like a thousand books there
00:07:29	00:07:33	and they always restok in good books
00:07:30	00:07:34	and I never see any other scanners there
00:07:33	00:07:37	so that I usually just kill it when I go
00:07:34	00:07:39	there but other than that thrift stores
00:07:37	00:07:41	are a great place to go and they're
00:07:39	00:07:43	often gonna have these huge huge book
00:07:41	00:07:44	sections and she can go through and just
00:07:43	00:07:46	scan all those books and they're gonna
00:07:44	00:07:48	be a little bit more expensive because
00:07:46	00:07:50	on these thrift stores are a little more
00:07:48	00:07:52	aware of resellers because the Reap just
00:07:50	00:07:54	reselling in general on Amazon is
00:07:52	00:07:56	starting to become a lot more popular
00:07:54	00:07:58	and so these three stores are kind of
00:07:56	00:08:00	learning the process and moving their
00:07:58	00:08:01	prices up a little bit but I mean you
00:08:00	00:08:02	can still get books for anywhere from
00:08:01	00:08:04	two to three dollars and sell them all
00:08:02	00:08:08	day and went from fifteen to fifty
00:08:04	00:08:11	dollars plus in the last and final place
00:08:08	00:08:13	and is the best place in my personal
00:08:11	00:08:16	opinion are book sales which you can
00:08:13	00:08:18	find on book sale finder calm and just
00:08:16	00:08:20	locally around asking your libraries and
00:08:18	00:08:22	the good thing about book sales is
00:08:20	00:08:24	they're not gonna be picked over so you
00:08:22	00:08:26	go to a thrift store there's no telling
00:08:24	00:08:29	for resale or camo that morning maybe
00:08:26	00:08:31	last week with book sales the stuff is
00:08:29	00:08:34	then picked over yet also the people the
00:08:31	00:08:35	volunteers running that book sale don't
00:08:34	00:08:38	really care if there's any resellers in
00:08:35	00:08:39	within the book sale they're actually
00:08:38	00:08:41	like cat
00:08:39	00:08:44	all the different genres and categories
00:08:41	00:08:46	of each book which makes it extremely
00:08:44	00:08:48	easy for you the reseller to go to those
00:08:46	00:08:50	really valuable categories and scan
00:08:48	00:08:53	those books first for instance like the
00:08:50	00:08:54	tiknology the business and the
00:08:53	00:08:56	children's book as well I mean lots of
00:08:54	00:08:58	people skip out on those the picture
00:08:56	00:09:00	books I mean all day long fifteen to
00:08:58	00:09:02	fifty dollar books are what I find and
00:09:00	00:09:04	resellers often overlook those and the
00:09:02	00:09:05	good thing about the children's books is
00:09:04	00:09:07	they're always the cheapest they're like
00:09:05	00:09:09	fifty cents to a dollar and you just
00:09:07	00:09:11	leave their paperbacks they're 50 Cent's
00:09:09	00:09:14	hardbacks the dollar just depends on how
00:09:11	00:09:16	well the cell is and on book so finder
00:09:14	00:09:17	calm you sometimes out the price down
00:09:16	00:09:19	there and have like a brief description
00:09:17	00:09:21	sometimes on the last day they might
00:09:19	00:09:23	have like a special sale where it's like
00:09:21	00:09:25	everything is 50% off maybe it's like a
00:09:23	00:09:26	fill a bag which means they're gonna
00:09:25	00:09:28	obviously give you a bag and you can put
00:09:26	00:09:29	as many books in there as you can and
00:09:28	00:09:31	they're just gonna charge you a set
00:09:29	00:09:33	price so that's always something that
00:09:31	00:09:36	you want to look for in those three or
00:09:33	00:09:37	four places or the best when it comes to
00:09:36	00:09:40	sourcing and that's where you get the
00:09:37	00:09:42	amount of books for really really cheap
00:09:40	00:09:44	so that's why I recommend sourcing when
00:09:42	00:09:46	trying to find use books to sell on
00:09:44	00:09:49	Amazon FBA when you become more familiar
00:09:46	00:09:51	with the book sales rang and I've
00:09:49	00:09:54	obviously located a couple of different
00:09:51	00:09:56	places to a source more often it's all
00:09:54	00:09:58	about just constantly finding new books

00:10:00	00:10:03	keep ramping up your business cuz that's
00:10:02	00:10:05	the only way that you're gonna reach

00:10:05	00:10:08	elsewhere so you can start bringing
00:10:06	00:10:11	people on to your team I've done that as
00:10:08	00:10:13	well I brought friends my age to help me
00:10:11	00:10:14	go scan and once I've taught then they
00:10:13	00:10:17	can go to other locations and scan for
00:10:14	00:10:20	me so it's all about just diversifying
00:10:17	00:10:21	and just basically ramping up and
00:10:20	00:10:24	scaling your business to whatever amount
00:10:21	00:10:25	that you desire and I know the tactik of
