00:00:00 00:00:03 what's up guys in this video I'll be
00:00:01 00:00:06 going over how you can make a hundred
00:00:03 00:00:09 and fifty thousand dollars selling toys
00:00:06 00:00:11 on amazon FBA during the q4 and holiday
00:00:09 00:00:13 seasons so before you even get to the
00:00:11 00:00:15 video if you don't know me already my
00:00:13 00:00:17 name is Carter Maxwell I'm just a 17
00:00:15 00:00:19 year old entrepreneur who goes by the
00:00:17 00:00:21 nickname of the high school hustler and
00:00:19 00:00:23 if you're trying to create an online
00:00:21 00:00:25 business and make money while you sleep
00:00:23 00:00:27 and this is the chanter for you so go
00:00:25 00:00:29 ahead and hit that subscribe button in
00:00:27 00:00:32 this video I'll be going over how one
00:00:29 00:00:34 couple managed to sell over a hundred
00:00:32 00:00:36 and fifty thousand dollars worth of toys
00:00:34 00:00:39 using the retail arbitrage business
00:00:36 00:00:42 model selling on Amazon FBA
00:00:39 00:00:45 also included in the description of this
00:00:42 00:00:47 YouTube video will be a link to this
00:00:45 00:00:49 exact artikle that I will be going over
00:00:47 00:00:50 so if you'd like to go of it on your own
00:00:49 00:00:51 or in your free time
00:00:50 00:00:54 you're welcome there's just quite a few
00:00:51 00:00:56 graphs charts descriptions as well so if
00:00:54 00:00:58 you like to read that and you're um feel
00:00:56 00:01:00 free to though I thought this would be a
00:00:58 00:01:02 really really interesting video just
00:01:00 00:01:04 kind of going over just how powerful
00:01:02 00:01:06 selling on the Amazon platform is and
00:01:04 00:01:08 how this couple minutes do a hundred and
00:01:06 00:01:10 fifty thousand dollars in sales during
00:01:08 00:01:13 q4 now for those of you that aren't
00:01:10 00:01:14 familiar with what exactly q4 is it's
00:01:13 00:01:16 basically the last three months of the
00:01:14 00:01:18 year when ecommerce sales just
00:01:16 00:01:21 absolutely explode and also includes
00:01:18 00:01:23 some of the really big holidays which
00:01:21 00:01:25 include Black Friday Cyber Monday in
00:01:23 00:01:27 some of the days leading up to Christmas
00:01:25 00:01:30 those sales days just yourselves
00:01:27 00:01:32 absolutely explode and I wanted to go
00:01:30 00:01:34 over this because I know a lot of people
00:01:32 00:01:37 are looking for different ways to make
00:01:34 00:01:40 money and usually within my channel I
00:01:37 00:01:42 I've my personal business model that I
00:01:40 00:01:45 pursue is probably label and I do that
00:01:42 00:01:48 full time at the moment but I want to
00:01:45 00:01:50 broaden the just a viewing of my channel
00:01:48 00:01:51 and everything so that's why I teach you
00:01:50 00:01:52 different ways to make money and this is
00:01:51 00:01:54 a great way to make money it would
00:01:52 00:01:56 retail arbitrage I mean you don't have
00:01:54 00:01:58 to have too much money to start it's not
00:01:56 00:02:00 super complicated it's just a lot of
00:01:58 00:02:02 hard work and dedication actually goes
00:02:00 00:02:04 into it from sourcing the product from
00:02:02 00:02:06 the storage we're actually sending it to
00:02:04 00:02:11 the Amazon warehouse and getting it sold
00:02:06 00:02:13 so you can see the title of this is from
00:02:11 00:02:14 their fourth quarter in 2013
00:02:13 00:02:15 so you probably
00:02:14 00:02:18 why do I have an artikle from almost
00:02:15 00:02:20 four years ago well to be honest I
00:02:18 00:02:23 couldn't find another artikle with I
00:02:20 00:02:25 mean this this detailed of shards and
00:02:23 00:02:28 fees and everything I mean they they
00:02:25 00:02:29 broke it down really really well and to
00:02:28 00:02:31 me honestly the year doesn't matter that
00:02:29 00:02:33 much I mean just the way that they go
00:02:31 00:02:35 over these different graphs and their
00:02:33 00:02:37 goals and everything it's gonna be a lot
00:02:35 00:02:39 easier for me to explain and I mean if
00:02:37 00:02:43 you think about it they did like
00:02:39 00:02:46 $150,000 roughly during q4 in 2013
00:02:43 00:02:47 I mean imagine what they did in 2016
00:02:46 00:02:51 imagine what they're gonna try to do in
00:02:47 00:02:52 2017 I mean honestly the numbers are
00:02:51 00:02:54 endless I mean if they can do it anybody
00:02:52 00:02:56 can do it so I'm gonna go into exactly
00:02:54 00:02:58 what they went over cuz they're kind
00:02:56 00:03:00 enough to actually create this whole
00:02:58 00:03:03 this whole artikle about all their
00:03:00 00:03:05 numbers from the buy cost everything
00:03:03 00:03:08 they spent their income their profit
00:03:05 00:03:09 everything month by month by month so
00:03:08 00:03:11 I'm gonna get straight into it right now
00:03:09 00:03:15 alright guys so I'm gonna kind of skim
00:03:11 00:03:16 over this artikle and try to explain to
00:03:15 00:03:18 you what the most important parts of
00:03:16 00:03:21 this artikle is so you hopefully you can
00:03:18 00:03:22 use this and transfer it's hopefully
00:03:21 00:03:25 running your retail recharge business
00:03:22 00:03:26 because guess what guys at the time I'm
00:03:25 00:03:30 recording this is about the middle of
00:03:26 00:03:33 October 2017 and it's already a little
00:03:30 00:03:34 bit past q4 but sales really start to
00:03:33 00:03:37 pick up in those November and December
00:03:34 00:03:39 months I want you to prepare now I want
00:03:37 00:03:41 you to know what this business model is
00:03:39 00:03:44 and how it works so before we even get
00:03:41 00:03:46 into the artikle retail arbitrage is the
00:03:44 00:03:48 business model that this couple pursuit
00:03:46 00:03:52 and that's basically going to the
00:03:48 00:03:54 big-box stores like the Walmart's targus
00:03:52 00:03:57 Toys R Us is Walgreens CVS all those
00:03:54 00:03:58 big-box stores and finding unique items
00:03:57 00:04:01 that they're able to purchase for a
00:03:58 00:04:03 lower price obviously with the intention
00:04:01 00:04:05 to resell it back on Amazon for a profit
00:04:03 00:04:07 and I think they mainly did toys in this
00:04:05 00:04:10 it might be all toys I don't think they
00:04:07 00:04:12 stayed in here buy definitely the most
00:04:10 00:04:14 popular item within the retail are
00:04:12 00:04:17 betrothed business model is definitely
00:04:14 00:04:21 toys and toys absolutely take off during
00:04:17 00:04:22 q4 so about their business they don't do
00:04:21 00:04:24 this full-time
00:04:22 00:04:26 they say they kind of do this is like a
00:04:24 00:04:28 lifestyle choice the
00:04:26 00:04:30 do it part-time which explains while
00:04:28 00:04:32 they're just going all-in during q4 cuz
00:04:30 00:04:34 that's when the margins are just
00:04:32 00:04:37 absolutely insane so let's get straight
00:04:34 00:04:39 into it okay they're gonna have totals
00:04:37 00:04:41 for October November in December's so
00:04:39 00:04:43 they had fourteen thousand dollars in
00:04:41 00:04:45 sales obviously you can check this chart
00:04:43 00:04:48 out it's really cool do it by each week
00:04:45 00:04:52 so it stays a little bit consistent and
00:04:48 00:04:53 so the last two weeks of October so they
00:04:52 00:04:56 ended up making fifty five hundred
00:04:53 00:04:59 dollars in profit they spent forty one
00:04:56 00:05:01 hundred and ninety five dollars and just
00:04:59 00:05:04 under four thousand dollars in Amazon
00:05:01 00:05:06 fees and actually break down some of
00:05:04 00:05:08 these fees for us so inbound
00:05:06 00:05:11 transportation charges so that's gonna
00:05:08 00:05:13 be after they sourced the product they
00:05:11 00:05:15 had to ship it to Amazon so once they
00:05:13 00:05:16 ship it to amis all they have to pay a
00:05:15 00:05:18 fee so they're gonna get shards whatever
00:05:16 00:05:21 that shipping cost is so for that month
00:05:18 00:05:23 looks like this spent five hundred and
00:05:21 00:05:25 thirty one dollars to ship all their
00:05:23 00:05:28 inventory to the Amazon warehouse where
00:05:25 00:05:30 it's gonna be stored MF shipping costs
00:05:28 00:05:32 so you're probably wondering what
00:05:30 00:05:35 exactly the abbreviation MF stands for
00:05:32 00:05:36 it stands for merchant fulfilled and I
00:05:35 00:05:40 know a lot of people what is much
00:05:36 00:05:42 fulfilled more people know about FBA
00:05:40 00:05:44 FDA's fulfillment by Amazon where's it's
00:05:42 00:05:46 where you can send your inventory to
00:05:44 00:05:48 Amazon Amazon my store until it sells
00:05:46 00:05:50 once it sells Amazon will then ship it
00:05:48 00:05:51 to the customer fulfillment by Amazon
00:05:50 00:05:53 now there's another option called
00:05:51 00:05:56 merchant fulfilled well basically that
00:05:53 00:05:58 means is you the seller are fulfilling
00:05:56 00:06:01 all the orders now obviously you don't
00:05:58 00:06:02 get two days shipping the Prime members
00:06:01 00:06:04 most likely aren't going to purchase
00:06:02 00:06:07 from you but when it comes to selling
00:06:04 00:06:08 during q4 people can't keep product in
00:06:07 00:06:10 stok it just keeps flying off the shelf
00:06:08 00:06:12 everyone is buying and so that gives an
00:06:10 00:06:13 opportunity for emerge but filled
00:06:12 00:06:15 sellers don't even need to send it to
00:06:13 00:06:17 the Amazon warehouse they can just list
00:06:15 00:06:18 it back on Amazon once it sells they
00:06:17 00:06:20 have to ship it to the customer
00:06:18 00:06:22 obviously their margins are gonna
00:06:20 00:06:24 increase as well because amis not going
00:06:22 00:06:26 to take as a large fulfillment fee
00:06:24 00:06:28 because Emma's not fulfilling it you're
00:06:26 00:06:30 fulfilling it but it's gonna be a little
00:06:28 00:06:31 bit more work up front obviously got to
00:06:30 00:06:34 ship it you have to take it to the post
00:06:31 00:06:37 office the August you can see this $40
00:06:34 00:06:39 charged on here they had a UPS weekly
00:06:37 00:06:40 pickup which means they're not leaving
00:06:39 00:06:41 the house it
00:06:40 00:06:43 they're literally shipping all their
00:06:41 00:06:47 merchant fulfilled orders from home and
00:06:43 00:06:49 paying UPS USPS to come pick it up
00:06:47 00:06:52 probably straight off their doorstep
00:06:49 00:06:54 FBI disposal fees I usually that happens
00:06:52 00:06:56 if there's a product they no longer want
00:06:54 00:06:59 they can have it destroyed refunds I
00:06:56 00:07:01 mean you sell enough products eventually
00:06:59 00:07:04 gonna get some refunds subscription fees
00:07:01 00:07:07 $39.99 is the Amazon fee per each month
00:07:04 00:07:08 30 days storage fees a hundred and
00:07:07 00:07:11 thirty-eight dollars so that's good
00:07:08 00:07:14 that's for the film of I am asan that's
00:07:11 00:07:15 their 30-day storage fees for all the
00:07:14 00:07:19 inventory they have at their Hamazon
00:07:15 00:07:22 warehouses for that month and Amazon
00:07:19 00:07:23 just rolled out an artikle lately about
00:07:22 00:07:26 how they're increasing storage fees for
00:07:23 00:07:27 q4 just because the warehouses are
00:07:26 00:07:30 getting packed and everything and they
00:07:27 00:07:34 need to maximize so I think it's almost
00:07:30 00:07:36 tripling it was like 58 cents per like
00:07:34 00:07:38 square frota whatever I think it's going
00:07:36 00:07:40 up like a dollar 20 a dollar 30 so I
00:07:38 00:07:41 mean it's increasing quite a bit but
00:07:40 00:07:47 your sales are really just gonna explode
00:07:41 00:07:48 so then up spending 55 hours um they
00:07:47 00:07:52 don't have the exact breakdown this
00:07:48 00:07:55 month just see what else shipping and
00:07:52 00:07:58 prepping I spent 33 hours completed 11
00:07:55 00:08:01 full shipments that took three hours on
00:07:58 00:08:04 average okay it is between her and cliff
00:08:01 00:08:06 and cliff is her husband alright so
00:08:04 00:08:08 total hours they worked 88 hours split
00:08:06 00:08:10 between her and her husband so 62
00:08:08 00:08:13 dollars per hour you can't go wrong with
00:08:10 00:08:15 62 hours per hour I mean that's really
00:08:13 00:08:17 really good money alright now we're into
00:08:15 00:08:19 October I know already October into
00:08:17 00:08:21 November Wow
00:08:19 00:08:25 38,000 dollars in sales let's go back
00:08:21 00:08:30 real quick so in what in October they
00:08:25 00:08:32 did geez 14,000 to 38,000 the next month
00:08:30 00:08:34 that's that's almost triple that's
00:08:32 00:08:36 really really good margin you can see
00:08:34 00:08:38 like look the first week and then it
00:08:36 00:08:41 just picks up and explodes I mean look
00:08:38 00:08:44 they did what is that it's income so
00:08:41 00:08:47 $17,000 in sales that last week of
00:08:44 00:08:50 November that's crazy
00:08:47 00:08:52 $8,300 plus in profit so you don't have
00:08:50 00:08:53 any hours they works eighteen thousand
00:08:52 00:08:57 dollars in profit
00:08:53 00:09:01 this month let's see higher and refunds
00:08:57 00:09:03 $50 more in storage fees Sam you use B
00:09:01 00:09:06 as pick up okay so it looks like they
00:09:03 00:09:08 paid two times as much as last month in
00:09:06 00:09:09 transportation charges so obviously
00:09:08 00:09:12 they're sending up a lot more inventory
00:09:09 00:09:14 and they're fulfilling a lot more
00:09:12 00:09:16 merchant fulfilled orders I'm not sure
00:09:14 00:09:18 what it wasn't October was like 50 or 60
00:09:16 00:09:20 so I mean they've definitely have an
00:09:18 00:09:24 increase in that that's pretty cool
00:09:20 00:09:27 okay shopping I spent a hundred hours
00:09:24 00:09:29 shopping they said it had a few all day
00:09:27 00:09:32 trips which means 8 to 12 hours so
00:09:29 00:09:34 that's a that's a busy day but I mean
00:09:32 00:09:37 when the money's there I mean look at
00:09:34 00:09:38 this their hourly wage is $115 per hour
00:09:37 00:09:40 I mean I know a lot of people that just
00:09:38 00:09:42 go work at a restaurant and stuff like
00:09:40 00:09:45 that for ten twelve dollars an hour when
00:09:42 00:09:47 they could go out here put in the work
00:09:45 00:09:49 just learn the process of reach
00:09:47 00:09:51 arbitrage selling on Amazon and you can
00:09:49 00:09:52 make hundred plus dollars per hour I
00:09:51 00:09:54 mean they're doing this part-time as
00:09:52 00:09:56 well I mean if they did eight to 12
00:09:54 00:10:01 hours all 30 days this number would
00:09:56 00:10:04 probably triple so 63 hours prepping and
00:10:01 00:10:06 shipping their shipments I think so
00:10:04 00:10:09 total hours spent in the month of
00:10:06 00:10:13 November was a hundred and sixty-three
00:10:09 00:10:15 all right let's see one thing we did in
00:10:13 00:10:18 November was different other months over
00:10:15 00:10:21 700 and merchants and filled orders that
00:10:18 00:10:23 is a ton so that means they had over 700
00:10:21 00:10:25 individual items that they sold on
00:10:23 00:10:27 Amazon and they ship themselves so
00:10:25 00:10:29 obviously they're probably making a lot
00:10:27 00:10:30 more after fees because they're not
00:10:29 00:10:33 having to pay some of those outrageous
00:10:30 00:10:35 fees that Amazon charges not outrageous
00:10:33 00:10:36 but the fees that they charge to fulfill
00:10:35 00:10:39 the item for you to ship it to the
00:10:36 00:10:41 customer to day shipping along the lines
00:10:39 00:10:44 of that all right now on to December
00:10:41 00:10:46 this is when sales just absolutely
00:10:44 00:10:48 explode I mean those first this first
00:10:46 00:10:50 looks like three weeks and then the week
00:10:48 00:10:52 leading up to Christmas just absolutely
00:10:50 00:10:54 create hundred and fifteen thousand
00:10:52 00:10:55 dollars in sales so I mean they did
00:10:54 00:10:58 about well I think there's fifty
00:10:55 00:11:00 thousand dollars in November about was a
00:10:58 00:11:03 twenty twenty thousand dollars in
00:11:00 00:11:05 October if I remember correctly so I
00:11:03 00:11:07 mean they just absolutely do summer
00:11:05 00:11:11 sales just through the roof
00:11:07 00:11:16 $35,000 this week almost $55,000 in a
00:11:11 00:11:20 seven-day timeframe $22,000 a hunt
00:11:16 00:11:22 22,000 $198 that's a lot of money so
00:11:20 00:11:26 their cost of goods was 39,000 so
00:11:22 00:11:28 obviously when it comes to scaling you
00:11:26 00:11:30 reach arbitrage business you kind of
00:11:28 00:11:31 have to have some money up front to
00:11:30 00:11:33 spend on this inventory because most
00:11:31 00:11:35 likely you're gonna get a really really
00:11:33 00:11:38 nice return but I mean to do that the
00:11:35 00:11:41 amount of sales and to get this profit
00:11:38 00:11:43 you have to spend a lot of money so I
00:11:41 00:11:44 mean just save up and definitely use
00:11:43 00:11:46 different credit and try to leverage
00:11:44 00:11:49 your credit to so you get reward points
00:11:46 00:11:50 as well and get money cash back all
00:11:49 00:11:54 right so there are 30 days storage
00:11:50 00:11:56 increased a little bit refunds were a
00:11:54 00:12:01 lot higher twenty five hundred and sixty
00:11:56 00:12:03 eight see ah they shipped a little bit
00:12:01 00:12:06 less this month probably and Wow
00:12:03 00:12:07 two thousand dollars in shipping cost
00:12:06 00:12:09 for merchants fields that means they
00:12:07 00:12:13 probably sold a ton of Burchfield items
00:12:09 00:12:17 forty six thousand dollars in profit one
00:12:13 00:12:19 month one month part time reach
00:12:17 00:12:21 arbitrage on Amazon one couple did forty
00:12:19 00:12:23 six thousand dollars guys and that's not
00:12:21 00:12:25 shocking to you I don't know what is
00:12:23 00:12:26 that should be pretty inspiring to show
00:12:25 00:12:28 you that you can make money on Amazon
00:12:26 00:12:30 not you don't have to do just reach the
00:12:28 00:12:32 arbitrage you can just sell random
00:12:30 00:12:34 generic items you can do private label
00:12:32 00:12:35 which is what I do there's tons and tons
00:12:34 00:12:38 of other business models online
00:12:35 00:12:41 arbitrage a wholesale and a couple
00:12:38 00:12:45 others as well so out of the they works
00:12:41 00:12:49 a total of 31 hours 15 hours of shopping
00:12:45 00:12:53 16 hours of shipping and prepping so
00:12:49 00:12:56 they work 31 hours and did over $46,000
00:12:53 00:12:58 and profit for 1500 dollars an hour tell
00:12:56 00:13:00 me what job you can get right off the
00:12:58 00:13:02 bat work for two months and in that
00:13:00 00:13:04 third month make fifteen hundred dollars
00:13:02 00:13:06 per hour you're not gonna find that the
00:13:04 00:13:09 only way you can do that selling online
00:13:06 00:13:13 guys that's that's crazy
00:13:09 00:13:15 Wow so here's some just final thoughts
00:13:13 00:13:18 yeah so once again they don't do this
00:13:15 00:13:19 full-time it's just part-time fifteen
00:13:18 00:13:23 thousand month or more
