00:01:51 00:01:54 into these businesses that we build you
00:01:53 00:01:56 know we build our empires and then we
00:01:54 00:01:57 are the odds are so stacked against us
00:01:56 00:02:00 and it doesn't really make any sense
00:01:57 00:02:01 because the death of brick and mortar
00:02:00 00:02:03 you guys know this is happening right
00:02:01 00:02:06 people are buying stuff online people
00:02:03 00:02:07 are going less to stores right so many
00:02:06 00:02:09 businesses are closing down their
00:02:07 00:02:11 brick-and-mortar store fronts it's it's
00:02:09 00:02:13 ridiculous okay and people are
00:02:11 00:02:16 continuing to buy and sell online
00:02:13 00:02:18 but here's the problem guys is why are
00:02:16 00:02:21 so many ecommerce businesses and
00:02:18 00:02:23 businesses in general failing right when
00:02:21 00:02:24 the market is telling us right that
00:02:23 00:02:27 people are buying more and more online
00:02:24 00:02:28 right right the market is telling us
00:02:27 00:02:29 something really specific and I think
00:02:28 00:02:32 this is one of something that you guys
00:02:29 00:02:34 miss out on is that they are looking for
00:02:32 00:02:35 trusted professionals to help them
00:02:34 00:02:37 navigate this new playing field right
00:02:35 00:02:39 the reason a lot of these brick and
00:02:37 00:02:41 mortar retail stores fail is because
00:02:39 00:02:43 they have no idea how to market they
00:02:41 00:02:46 have no idea how to sell stuff right I
00:02:43 00:02:48 there's a Main Street around where I
00:02:46 00:02:49 live and I always feel bad because when
00:02:48 00:02:52 we walk by it I see all these new stores
00:02:49 00:02:54 popping up selling these random trinkets
00:02:52 00:02:55 and it all looks cool looks high quality
00:02:54 00:02:58 but then they don't have any online
00:02:55 00:03:00 marketing presence or they don't market
00:02:58 00:03:02 properly even on the offline space and I
00:03:00 00:03:04 know within a year that business it's
00:03:02 00:03:06 gonna be gone and I see a time and time
00:03:04 00:03:07 again these businesses these
00:03:06 00:03:10 brick-and-mortar businesses just failing
00:03:07 00:03:12 right so how can we help them right how
00:03:10 00:03:15 can we help both these offline and
00:03:12 00:03:18 online businesses right so the first one
00:03:15 00:03:20 that I like to go after is helping this
00:03:18 00:03:22 brick-and-mortar online businesses or if
00:03:20 00:03:26 those help them get set up with an
00:03:22 00:03:28 online storefront okay now depending on
00:03:26 00:03:29 the niche you kind of go in I always
00:03:28 00:03:31 recommend trying to go after a niche
00:03:29 00:03:33 even when you're trying to go into like
00:03:31 00:03:37 the consulting space now why do I
00:03:33 00:03:39 recommend being a niche because even
00:03:37 00:03:40 here guys when you are consulting for
00:03:39 00:03:42 business owners right especially brick
00:03:40 00:03:44 and mortars and you've had success
00:03:42 00:03:46 helping you know jewelry shops get a
00:03:44 00:03:47 better presence online right you're
00:03:46 00:03:49 gonna be a lot more trusted when you
00:03:47 00:03:52 walk into the next jeweler you serve and
00:03:49 00:03:54 you can give testimonials and
00:03:52 00:03:56 testimonials and rules of your past work
00:03:54 00:03:58 that you've done with that same niche
00:03:56 00:03:59 group of people right and and those kind
00:03:58 00:04:01 of business owners they will work with
00:03:59 00:04:02 you right because they see that you've
00:04:01 00:04:03 gotten results for other people all
00:04:02 00:04:05 right
00:04:03 00:04:07 the second one is helping existing
00:04:05 00:04:10 online stores make more profits make
00:04:07 00:04:11 more sales right I see this time and
00:04:10 00:04:13 time again this was one of the biggest
00:04:11 00:04:15 reasons I started ecommerce Empire
00:04:13 00:04:18 builders to begin with right is to teach

00:04:29 00:04:34 Shopify stores Amazon sellers right
00:04:32 00:04:35 they're good at making whatever they do
00:04:34 00:04:37 right like for example if you go and I'm
00:04:35 00:04:38 toking about really working with real
00:04:37 00:04:40 brands I'm not toking about like people
00:04:38 00:04:41 that are like just trying to dropship
00:04:40 00:04:43 some stuff right I'm toking about
00:04:41 00:04:46 working with real brands and show them
00:04:43 00:04:47 the proper way to build like a sales
00:04:46 00:04:49 funnel or the proper way to optimize
00:04:47 00:04:52 their Shopify storefront right because a
00:04:49 00:04:54 lot of them for example a hot sauce
00:04:52 00:04:56 company right or a coffee company right
00:04:54 00:04:58 they're good at making coffee right
00:04:56 00:05:00 they're not good at making doing
00:04:58 00:05:02 marketing sales right and that's where
00:05:00 00:05:04 you come in right if you have the
00:05:02 00:05:06 knowledge right that's why I have to
00:05:04 00:05:09 tell you before you do any of this stuff
00:05:06 00:05:11 you must get results somehow right and
00:05:09 00:05:13 how do you get results well you do it
00:05:11 00:05:14 for yourself in my opinion the reason
00:05:13 00:05:16 that I have been able to grow my
00:05:14 00:05:19 consulting business right ecommerce
00:05:16 00:05:22 Empire builders is because of that
00:05:19 00:05:24 little thing right there and the second
00:05:22 00:05:26 one is because of those things right
00:05:24 00:05:27 there right next to two comma Club right
00:05:26 00:05:30 I think then right there yes then we
00:05:27 00:05:32 have our Empire Builder Awards which we

00:05:45 00:05:49 someone with the things that you have in
00:05:47 00:05:52 here right go actually help somebody
00:05:49 00:05:53 with that for free right and get them
00:05:52 00:05:56 results and then get a review get a
00:05:53 00:05:58 testimonial get some help or you have to
00:05:56 00:06:00 go out there and actually do it for
00:05:58 00:06:01 yourself I recommend doing the drop
00:06:00 00:06:03 shipping model doing a sales funnel
00:06:01 00:06:05 around the drop shipping product and
00:06:03 00:06:08 crushing it and using that as a leverage
00:06:05 00:06:09 point to learn for yourself you can't go
00:06:08 00:06:11 help people if you can't help yourself
00:06:09 00:06:12 guys that's one of the things I always
00:06:11 00:06:14 see people when they start and try and
00:06:12 00:06:15 do consulting or do an agency is that
00:06:14 00:06:17 you've never even done results for
00:06:15 00:06:19 yourself how are you gonna hold on to a
00:06:17 00:06:20 client right this strategy I'm sharing
00:06:19 00:06:22 with you guys can make you a lot of
00:06:20 00:06:23 money but you have to be able to get
00:06:22 00:06:25 your customer results otherwise they're
00:06:23 00:06:27 gonna not want to work with you for
00:06:25 00:06:29 month after month after month okay so
00:06:27 00:06:31 it's extremely important that you're
00:06:29 00:06:34 capable of getting results for yourself
00:06:31 00:06:36 for your customers okay extremely
00:06:34 00:06:38 extremely important now how do we get
00:06:36 00:06:39 online clients all right I love going
00:06:38 00:06:40 after online clients I actually have
00:06:39 00:06:40 experience which I will tok about in a
00:06:40 00:06:44 sec
00:06:40 00:06:46 of getting offline clients as well but
00:06:44 00:06:47 online clients are a lot easier now how
00:06:46 00:06:50 do you do that well guys it's honestly
00:06:47 00:06:51 really easy right you provide value to
00:06:50 00:06:52 human beings right I think a lot of you
00:06:51 00:06:54 miss out on this doesn't matter if
00:06:52 00:06:55 you're selling ecommerce products you're
00:06:54 00:06:57 doing a YouTube channel you're making
00:06:55 00:06:59 Instagram posts or whatever you're doing
00:06:57 00:07:01 right you're selling even like your your
00:06:59 00:07:04 coffee right the whole thing is always
00:07:01 00:07:06 sharing value right always sharing value
00:07:04 00:07:08 to your customers right and this is
00:07:06 00:07:10 something and I'm gonna go a little a
00:07:08 00:07:12 layer deeper here so follow me guys even
00:07:10 00:07:15 when you are consulting for let's say a
00:07:12 00:07:16 coffee company you need to training them
00:07:15 00:07:19 on that right because a lot of people
00:07:16 00:07:21 don't realize right when you're selling
00:07:19 00:07:23 coffee you still have to provide value
00:07:21 00:07:25 to your customers not just be like oh I
00:07:23 00:07:27 have coffee here it is buy this right
00:07:25 00:07:29 creating a content strategy around for
00:07:27 00:07:31 them right showing them how to provide
00:07:29 00:07:33 value to the marketplace how to stand
00:07:31 00:07:35 out from the crowd right on social media
00:07:33 00:07:37 right we're so they can bring in that
00:07:35 00:07:39 organic reach now if you are just
00:07:37 00:07:42 looking in to get your first client or
00:07:39 00:07:44 get somebody to help my recommendation
00:07:42 00:07:45 is to go on social media one of the best
00:07:44 00:07:47 places that you what I did when I first
00:07:45 00:07:48 started ecommerce Empire builders is I

00:08:18 00:08:21 doing what everybody else is doing
00:08:19 00:08:23 you're not nobody's gonna really care
00:08:21 00:08:25 about you or haven't think about you if

00:09:52 00:09:57 start putting out helpful content don't
00:09:54 00:10:00 spam people right bring value before you
00:09:57 00:10:02 ask anything of a return right my
00:10:00 00:10:04 favorite thing to do right and this is
00:10:02 00:10:06 what we did earlier on when I was just
00:10:04 00:10:08 trying to get some traction with my
00:10:06 00:10:10 consulting business is getting our
00:10:08 00:10:12 customers right getting our customers a
00:10:10 00:10:14 quick win okay so what I would do is I
00:10:12 00:10:17 would actually build funnels right I
00:10:14 00:10:19 would go and find like a very um like a
00:10:17 00:10:22 Shopify store that was already doing
00:10:19 00:10:24 well right that's already doing well and
00:10:22 00:10:25 I would build them a funnel and send it
00:10:24 00:10:28 to them completely for free and be like
00:10:25 00:10:29 hey guys I wanted to share this funnel I
00:10:28 00:10:31 built for you guys around your product I
00:10:29 00:10:33 knew this but this this funnel will
00:10:31 00:10:34 convert and make you 3x the amount of
00:10:33 00:10:35 money plus there's a bunch of cool other

00:11:54 00:11:59 you up in the PM and and and message you
00:11:57 00:12:01 for your help I promise you that right a
00:11:59 00:12:03 lot of these business owners they wanted
00:12:01 00:12:05 literally they want to give you money
00:12:03 00:12:06 and handle it all for them okay I
00:12:05 00:12:08 promise you that to the point where
00:12:06 00:12:09 you're not gonna have time for it just
00:12:08 00:12:10 like we don't have time for it right now
00:12:09 00:12:12 right we don't have time to go and build
00:12:10 00:12:13 a whole funnel for a lot of people
00:12:12 00:12:16 anymore it's because we have too many
00:12:13 00:12:17 too many leads right so this is the bet
00:12:16 00:12:18 one of my favorite ways to do it with
00:12:17 00:12:20 local business owners because again you
00:12:18 00:12:22 could build them like a Shopify store if
00:12:20 00:12:24 they have like a you know a huge product
00:12:22 00:12:26 selection then you could tell them hey
00:12:24 00:12:27 after I'm done with your Shopify store I
00:12:26 00:12:29 want to show you about this cool thing
00:12:27 00:12:30 called sales funnels now we can get your
00:12:29 00:12:32 customers that come in here to pay you
00:12:30 00:12:34 month after month you but you'll have
00:12:32 00:12:35 like six seven months of time with this
00:12:34 00:12:36 person
00:12:35 00:12:38 that's probably paying you minimum I
00:12:36 00:12:41 will not ever and you guys should never
00:12:38 00:12:42 ever ever do this or for under $2,000
00:12:41 00:12:44 ever
00:12:42 00:12:45 okay $2,000 per month amount of value
00:12:44 00:12:47 you're gonna bring especially if you're
00:12:45 00:12:48 trained by us right there's no way you
00:12:47 00:12:50 don't bring at least two thousand
00:12:48 00:12:51 dollars in value every single month to
00:12:50 00:12:53 this person especially if you're helping
00:12:51 00:12:55 them walking them step by step through
00:12:53 00:12:57 all this stuff now one of the best ways
00:12:55 00:13:01 to get these business owners is simply
00:12:57 00:13:03 this okay you pick up the phone alright
00:13:01 00:13:05 pick up the phone and call people all
00:13:03 00:13:07 right you see a local business you walk
00:13:05 00:13:09 by write it down call him the next day
00:13:07 00:13:12 or walk in there and do it I had a
00:13:09 00:13:15 business once when I was a little
00:13:12 00:13:17 younger 19:20 where we managed
00:13:15 00:13:19 reputations for local businesses we did
00:13:17 00:13:21 this I did this with a friend of mine he
00:13:19 00:13:22 was really good at sales and literally
00:13:21 00:13:26 he would just walk and we lived on Main
00:13:22 00:13:28 Street at the time we would what he walk
00:13:26 00:13:29 into the main street on that Main Street
00:13:28 00:13:33 and said to ask the business owners hey
00:13:29 00:13:34 could we help you with with with your
00:13:33 00:13:36 online reputation management we would
00:13:34 00:13:37 help them get reviews on Google help
00:13:36 00:13:39 them get reviews on Facebook and we
00:13:37 00:13:42 charge them $500 a month we didn't make
00:13:39 00:13:43 a crapload of money by any means on this
00:13:42 00:13:44 it was kind of short-lived because then
00:13:43 00:13:46 all the agencies came here so what
00:13:44 00:13:47 started happening was a lot of these
00:13:46 00:13:49 people started giving the reputation
00:13:47 00:13:51 management for free with their agency so
00:13:49 00:13:53 our business model quickly died I think
00:13:51 00:13:55 we lasted like a year made some money
00:13:53 00:13:57 but that was about it but the easiest
00:13:55 00:13:59 way to get these clients guys is to pick
00:13:57 00:14:02 up the phone be a real human don't spam
00:13:59 00:14:02 their emails or Craigslist or any of
00:14:02 00:14:04 these things
