Are you interested in selling goods online? Are you writing the next great e-book? Or could your new hobby become your next big side hustle? If your answer is “yes” to any of these questions, then you’ve probably come across Shopify. But what is Shopify exactly? And- more importantly -, how does it work? Well, no need to fear, because we’ve put together the ultimate guide to this all-in-one e-commerce platform so YOU can take your business to the next level. What’s good, Mavericks? Welcome back, And if you are new to us, please make sure to subscribe to our channel AND click the bell right here (point over left shoulder). Nothing makes us happier than seeing our community of business-minded, tik-savvy viewers grow each week(nodding: yes, yes, yes). So today’s video starts off with the big question: What Is Shopify? Well, Shopify is a cloud-based software that’s packaged as a service shopping cart solution and allows businesses to set up an online store with little to no hassle. For starters, this e-commerce platform provides users with multiple pricing plans to choose from, making it a suitable option for businesses of all sizes. That means everyone, from startups to enterprise-sized businesses, can benefit from using Shopify’s easy-to-use features, AND there are also plenty of integrations to help grow your business, too. So how does Shopify work exactly. Acting as a cloud-based software, Shopify offers its users monthly subscriptions with access to an admin panel where you can enter your store info, add products and even process orders. The software is also extremely straightforward to use and only comes with a small learning curve for first timers. So don't worry--you can get your online store set up and running with just the click of a button. And for those who love having plenty of options to choose from, Shopify has a wide selection of free AND for-purchase design templates to make your store as stylish as you’d like, Varying from clean and modern to fun and vibrant. the platform’s templates can be tweaked to your liking by using any of Shopify’s editing tools now available at your disposal. This makes it easy to customize any theme to best fit your brand. If the creative freedom isn’t convincing enough, we should probably also mention how a subscription with Shopify includes secure, reliable web hosting for your website. So say goodbye to worrying about your site crashing during peak traffic hours or hackers hijacking your transactions. Shopify’s got you covered. Now that your account is made and your template looks great. the next question is: What can I sell on Shopify? Well, for starters, you can provide your customers with Handcrafted goods, Beauty supplies, Home goods, Outdoors gear, Clothing, Digital products, Online classes, Events, Gift Cards, eBooks And much more. But even with its great versatility, Shopify might still not be for everyone. Like with everything, it’s always important to weigh the Pros and Cons before making a decision. First off, The Pros: Easy To Use. - Low Startup Cost. - Beautiful Themes. - Good For Dropshipping. - Lots Of Support Options. The Cons: Limited Functionality. - Costly Add-Ons. - Transaction Fees - Strained Customer Support. If Shopify still sounds like a great option for your business, you’re probably now wondering How to use Shopify. Well, there are 7 basic ways for you to get the most out of your Shopify subscription, and we’ve broken them down for you right here. 1 - Starting with #1: Look into Shopify payments. If you choose to use Shopify’s in-house payment processor, Shopify Payments, you can actually have the transaction fees waived. Sounds great, but make sure you read through the Terms of Service before you count on enabling the feature. If you’re still interested in learning more about the pros & cons of Shopify Payments, I suggest you read our full artikle linked below, And if you need another payment processor, make sure to check out our website for more information. Next comes number 2 - Utilize Shopify themes & templates. Shopify is best known for its ease of use and modern web design, And at Merchant Maverick we are big fans of the drag-and-drop Section’s Editor. But let’s say you want even more control over your site’s design. Well, Shopify lets you change your template design by editing your site code as well. So for any coding wizards watching, feel free to make your Shopify site as personalized as you’d like. Number 3 - Become multikhannel with Shopify POS. When you sign up for Shopify’s eCommerce store, you’ll automatikally gain access to Shopify POS. Whether you have a brick-and-mortar or a pop-up shop, this software will make running your business easy with its in-house POS system. HOWEVER, if you are becoming a multikhannel merchant WHO SELLS IN-PERSON AS WELL AS ONLINE, Shopify is definitely a great option for you. If you’re interested in more specific information regarding credit card processing and how to use Shopify POS, we’ve written a full review available at the link below. And that now brings us to our 4th option: Try selling digital. Selling digital products allows you to benefit from all the perks of selling online, while eliminating one of its biggest downsides: shipping. By using Shopify’s native digital product features, you can sell downloadable merchandise to customers anywhere. This includes marketing your MP3 files and distributing printables, videos or even ebooks to your clientele. Customers can instantly download YOUR digital products directly from your site, taking your business right into the modern age. Coming up next on our list is Number #5: Start A Blog. Maintaining a blog can work wonders for your online store. Not only do regular blog posts boost your SEO rankings, but they also help build your brand’s identity. Fortunately, Shopify is one of a handful of shopping carts that comes with its own built-in blog features. You can write, edit and publish blog posts right in your admin panel, allowing your customers to get to know YOU a little better. However, while Shopify’s blogging capabilities make it stand out amongst the rest, I should warn you that its features are pretty basic. Nevertheless, a few personal posts here, and there are better than none Following. this is number 6…. Tap Into Shopify Customer Service. Shopify is a leader in today’s e-Commerce industry when it comes to free tiknical support. This includes a handful of services like phone support, email support, live chat, written documentation, video tutorials, webinars and even a community forum for larger discussion. And last, by not least, rounding out our list is Number 7: Shopify’s MANY Add-Ons. Make sure you take advantage of them. While the e-commerce platform comes packed with a whopping 3,500 add-ons, and counting the 3 major ones that users are crazy about include ShippingEasy, Ordoro, a shipping solution, and ShipStation. Of course, there are countless ways to make the most of your Shopify experience, like Shopify Shipping or Integrations with Amazon & eBay, But if we didn’t quite cover all of your Shopify questions or concerns and you’d like to discover more, check out our full artikle currently posted on our website And, in case you want to experience all of these wonderful features yourself, you can sign up for the 14-day FREE TRIAL TODAY. The Only Shopify Dropshipping Guide You'll Need [For Beginners]

[Music], so i'm pretty sure i know why you're here. well, at least while you clicked on this video, we both are probably looking for new ways to create sustainable passive income where you can work anywhere you want- the world or the comfort of your home, like i'm doing right now. well, lucky for you. what i'm about to fully explain this video from start to finish, is exactly that. drop shipping, if you don't know, is basically just a logistiks model where you need little to no money up front. you don't need any master marketing skills, no prior coding experience, nothing like that. it only requires one thing: a little bit of time, hard work and dedication. no, seriously, anyone can do it. i've seen 16 year olds succeed. i've seen 60 year olds succeed. the only thing that i've seen personally that separates the winners from the failures is that the winners didn't quit. so most gurus and people online charge upwards of thousands of dollars for the information i'm about to share with you for free. in exchange for this heavily detailed free information, all i ask is that you leave a like, hit the subscribe button and leave a comment down below, and maybe even share this video to a friend that's looking for this type of tutorial. to get started, and you might be thinking: what makes me qualified to even teach this information? well, i've actually ran multiple six and seven figure online businesses over the span of three plus years, and i pretty much post about my results every single day on tiktok and youtube. this also reminds me. as usual, i'm doing another giveaway, and in this giveaway, i'm gonna be giving away a free consulting call with me, one on one, and all you have to do to enter is do the exact same thing i just told you to, which is leave a like, hit the subscribe button and then leave a comment down below. now there's a massive amount of detailed information in this video, so make sure that you're taking notes and following along, or you have a laptop open or another screen open side by side, and follow the exact steps that i'm doing now. with all that being said, let's jump right into the video. all right, the first thing that you want to be doing is you're going to go on shopifycom, obviously, so i like to use shopify. there's a bunch of different platforms out there, but this is the one i have the most uh experience with. all right, so you're going to want to take on that free trial. so it's 14 days free trial. you're gonna put in your email address here. i recommend putting in a business email address and keeping everything separate. uh, so we need a store name. so we're gonna center this store around the beauty and cosmetiks niche. it's something that i'm familiar with. the store name doesn't really matter at the moment, just because you're going to be adding a domain and when you link the domain, that's what's going to show up on the shopify account and also that's what's going to show up when people are going onto your website and they see the url. so for the store name here, let's put beauty and cosmetiks one, two, three. for the country or region, obviously, put whatever location that you're in on the go with the united states here. then you're gonna want to continue with email. this is where you're gonna link your email address and then also type in your password, so you're just setting up your account here. all right, so easy as that. now you're in the shopify dashboard. your account is already set up and ready to go. we're gonna be covering every single thing pretty much on the left side here, starting from completely from scratch. the first thing that we're going to want to do is going to go into the settings here and let's just run through all of these right? so the store details. you just have the basic information, the store name, the address. you can put in your personal address here. but if you are running a business in multiple stores, i totally recommend you getting a virtual mailing address. it's like 10- 12 bucks a month and you can send all your business information and mail there. it's also not going to put your address out there where you actually live, so i highly recommend getting one of those. then you have the contact information. this is where you're going to enter your phone number, the email address and then the customers: uh, see this email. if you email them this one right here. you definitely want to have your business email address because you don't want customers seeing your personal. one store currency: i totally recommend using us dollars as the main form of currency, especially if you're selling mainly in the united states. editing the order id format: this is not needed, so you can just leave it as a prefix of the pound sign here. next section is going into your plan. shopify has a bunch of different plans, so if we click on this, you're gonna see the basic shopify. right now. that is 14.44 a month. you really don't need to go into the shopify or advanced shopify. that's only really helpful if you're looking to get more into the analytiks side of shopify with, like their finance reporting and all that stuff. but for now, just choose the basic plan. that's all you really need at the moment. now we'll go back into the settings, user and permissions. this is really just if you want to add staff account to your store. so if you have someone that's a partner like helping you work on the store, or if you need some developer to go into the store, you basically can make it so they can access the store and the developer theme, but they can't access any of the payments and stuff like that on the payments page. this is super important. you're going to want to activate the shopify payments. this is like the main processing method on most shopify stores and to do this all you have to do is enter your business details, your address. so for this portion, i would recommend using that virtual mailing address. it's going to keep it so much cleaner and it's going to give you more privacy from your personal home address as well. the other main payment method that i would recommend is paypal. it's very common. a lot of people check out with paypal just because all the information is already populated for them and they have the paypal like secure checkout and all that stuff, just in case something goes wrong with the order. they feel a little bit safer. you can add amazon pay if you want, or google pay, apple pay, all that stuff, but that typically comes with shopify payments. so you're not going to really need any other pm methods unless for some reason, you're selling a product that shopify does not agree with or support in their processing system. then you would have to add a third-party payment processor which costs a lot more than the shopify one for the checkout. let's go over some of these settings that i recommend changing. for the customer accounts i would use- do not use- accounts. um, i don't think that you need accounts unless you have, like, a subscription-based service, but if you're just selling typical econ products, you don't need to have people add accounts. it's just going to create another layer of friction and lowering your conversion rate overall. now for the customer contact method: i would recommend switching this to email rather than phone number or email, because if people just check out their phone number, they're not going to put in their email and they're not going to get a bunch of emails collected for email marketing. i'll leave this checked on here for show a link to download the shop app. this is going to help people track their orders and their shipments easier. it's going to leave you with a lot less customer service headaches. under the customer information, i would make sure that you require first and last name. this is super important because when you're placing orders- whether it's from aliexpress, spock at zen drop, wherever it may be- you need to have them have their first and last name, otherwise they won't send the package and you're not gonna be able to complete that order. so make sure that's checked off. company name: do not include. there's no point.

Shopify Tutorial for Beginners 2022 (FULL Store Setup Guide)

in this shopify tutorial, i'm going to take you through, step by step, how to build a professional shopify store from start to finish. we're going to cover every single step, from signing up to shopify to launching your finished store, ready to sell your products. that includes choosing a theme, customizing your store website, adding products to your store and also important things like setting up your legal pages, your payment providers and your shipping information. i'm also not going to waste your time rambling about things that aren't important and then try to sell you a drop shipping course for 9.97. this video will simply help you getting your shopify store up and running as efficiently as possible, while also learning how to use shopify. so let's get started. so the first step is to go to medicsmediacom forward slash shopify or simply click on the link down below in the video description. this will get you a 14 day free trial for shopify. so do that now and we'll go from there. great. so once we're here, we can simply type in our email address right here and then click on start free trial, and then we also gonna have to set a password for our new shopify account, and down here you can also see the current url of your new shopify store now. you can change that if you want to, but eventually you're going to want to get your own branded domain, something like medicswatchescom anyway, so i wouldn't worry about that too much. and then you can click on create your store. now they want to ask us a couple of questions about our business, which we can actually simply skip right here, and then they ask us for our name and business address, which is actually required in order for us to create a new shopify account. so fill that out right here and then click on enter my store. awesome, so that will take us inside of the shopify dashboard, which is what you're gonna learn how to use in this video. however, we're not gonna cover every single thing here in the shopify dashboard, because a lot of it is self-explanatory and i think the best way to learn everything is to actually start building out your store and then learning by doing learning the features when you actually need them. so i want to dive right into the fun stuff and start building out our store. alright, so the first step is to go ahead and choose a theme for our new online store. so we're going to go to online store here on the left side, then we're going to go to themes, and then we can see that the current theme that is already installed on our online store is the dawn theme. this is the default theme that comes with every new shopify store. now, choosing a theme, you want to make sure that the theme already is kind of the design that you're looking for, the structure of the of the website that you're looking for. so you have a minimal amount of work you have to do until you are ready to launch your store. so what you can do is you can go to actions, click on preview and then you can see how this current theme is actually built up, and then you can decide on if this is actually the right theme for you or if you want to choose a different theme. now, if you want to choose a different theme, you have a couple of different options. so here, when we scroll down, we can see that there are some free themes that we can use that come with the shopify plan, or it can also go to the shopify theme store right here and then also check out paid themes, which you're gonna have to pay for. so what you can do right now is to go through some of these options. i would recommend to first click on explore free themes right here and see if any theme here really fits your brand, your, your kind of store or the products that you want to sell. so eventually, all we have to do then is to add our products, add our branding and add all of our content, and then our store will be ready to go. what i'm gonna do in this video is simply choose one of the free themes right here. so i'm gonna click on explore free themes and i'm actually going to go for the brooklyn theme right here, so i'm going to click on the brooklyn theme. they also have a couple of different styles for each theme, so you can click on different styles and decide on which one you like the most. i'm gonna simply stik to the classic style right here and then i'm gonna click on add to theme library here on the bottom, and then, once the theme has been added, we can see it right here, and in order to actually change from the default theme to the new one we have just added, we need to go to actions right here and then click on publish, then again confirm right here, and now our theme will change to the new theme that we have just added and now we want to start building out our store. so we're going to scroll up again and then we're going to right click on customize and click on add link in a new tab. this way, we still have our shopify dashboard open in the background and we can work on our shopify store in the shopify editor right here at the same time. so now we are in the editor of shopify, which we can use to build out our online store website. so i'm going to give you a quick overview over how this works and then we're going to start to build out our website. so here on the top you can switch from different pages. so right now we are on the home page. you can also switch to your product pages, to your collection pages, blog pages and so on. but most of the work we're gonna do here on the home page and you're gonna see that all the other pages- like product pages, checkout pages- they're already built up for you, so there's not much design that we have to do on these pages. then you can also change from desktop view to mobile view or full screen view. so eventually you want to make sure that your store looks very good on mobile as well, because a lot of the traffic nowadays online comes actually from mobile phones. but however, we're going to build out everything here on the desktop view. then the site is built up in different sections, so it always starts with a header section here on the top and then on all the way in the bottom there's the footer section where you're going to have a couple of links and your legal pages and so on, and in between the header and the footer there are the sections which you can decide what you want to put in here. so by default we have a slideshow section here on the top where you can feature your store or your products, and we also have a menu here on the top which is part of the header. then we have another section, the rich text section. right here we have collection list, we have feature collection and so on. these are all sections that you can add manually and also remove. so, for example, if you want to remove the which, the rich text section, we could simply click on it and then we can click on remove section right here on the bottom. now, depending on what screen size you have, this menu might also display here on the right side for you, but for me it's here on the left side- then you can click on remove section right here and, just like this, this section is now gone from our website. you can also add new sections by clicking on add section here on the bottom left, and then you can decide on what kind of section you want to add. so let's say, we want to add this rich text section. again, we can simply click on which text section, then it will add it here on the bottom and now we can also drag it to another position. so we can drag it here up to maybe below the slideshow, and there we go. we have this section now on our home page again. so let's actually start building, and the way we're going to do it is we're going to simply go from top to bottom and we're going to start with the header. so we're going to click on the header here on the left side and the first thing we're going to do is to add our logo to our store. so i'm going to click on select image right here and then we're going to choose the logo that i have prepared for this specific store. so i'm going to click on upload an image and then i'm going to choose this image right here, which is:

importantly, grab a pen and paper as you watch this video, because at the end of this video, it'll be time for you to take some serious action and i want you to be prepared. so strap in, clear out a little workspace for yourself and go ahead and smash that like button so i can help impact more people with this real no guide to getting started with drop shipping in 2022.. and just before we jump into the value of this video, i do want to announce the weekly giveaway. remember. all you have to do is go ahead and smash that like button, comment something insightful down below and make sure you subscribe to the channel. the winner will be announced for a custom built drop shipping store built by me and my team, and outright ecom in my next week's video. let's get straight into this, all right. so first things first, load up your computer, go over to google and type in shopifycom or hit the link in my description. if you guys want an extended free trial, click on shopify and click start free trial. go ahead and type in your email and create a password- i recommend creating a brand new gmail account, as it is easier to keep all your business stuff in one place instead of cluttering it in with your personal emails- and create your store name- and, honestly, this part doesn't really matter, because you can always go back and change the name and purchase a new domain name later. so for now, i'm just going to call this nathan's first store- not actually my first store, but that's what we're calling it. shopify is going to go ahead and ask you a few questions, whether you're just starting out or if you're already selling. what you can do is just go ahead and skip this entire part, as it's not super necessary in the beginning and you don't really need to answer those questions. however, you do need to put in your country and then hit enter my store. so if you made it to this part, you actually made it farther than 99 of people who say they're gonna start an online business. you now have your own dashboard and storefront with shopify, so the home page here is basically gonna prompt you to complete a bunch of steps in order to get your store up and running. next thing, we have an orders tab over here which is gonna track and manage all the orders that are gonna be coming through later. the next one: we have products, where you're gonna be managing the different products and inventory that you have. the customer tab, where you're gonna control everything that's customer related in one single place. analytiks, where you're going to see the daily view. you know how much you're making- your average order value, conversion rates- all that important stuff. a marketing channel: we're going to keep track of all the different ways your marketing on your store. discount codes, if you want to make unique discount codes for certain people to shop. and lastly but most importantly, the online store sales channel itself, where you're gonna be creating the website, choosing the theme, adding blog posts, if that's what you want, creating other pages like a contact us and a track your order page, making the navigation menus and the footer menus different preferences about your store. and just before we jump into actually building a store, i do want to run you through just the most important things that you should fix up on your settings. so the first thing, over here in store details, you want to change the currency to usd. i mean, 90 of my customers, i would say, come from the united states and if you're on the same boat, i would recommend having your currency set to usd [Music] and just go ahead and click save. besides that, you can start to fill out your billing information so they can bill you eventually. when you get off of the free trial, you can start to set up staff accounts. if you're working on this business with somebody else, you can start to set up your bank account so that they can actually pay you when you make orders. and beyond that, there's not a whole lot that we need to do in the very beginning in the settings. so now it's time to find our first product so that we can actually start making some sales down here, you'll notike this section called apps. you just want to come over here and click add apps. it'll take you straight to the shopify app store if you click the link at the bottom, and this is where you want to be: to go ahead and get an app that allows you to import a product in one click. now, oberlo was a big app that allowed you to do this before. i'm not even too sure it's still on the shopify app store. no, it's not. in fact, it's been completely removed, and this is the best way for beginners to get started was to use oberlo and one click add a product from aliexpress to their store. but with oberlo gone, we need an alternative, and deezers is actually partnered with overload to kind of pick up and take over where oberlo left off. but good news for you is that deezers is actually a whole lot more complete and allows you to automate so many more tasks that oberlo just didn't have the functionalities for. the first thing you want to do is go ahead and click on this app and then just click add app and it's going to give you again a 14 day free trial, so you don't have to spend any money out of your pocket. go ahead and click install app, and then it's going to prompt you to a page where you need to create an account for yourself. now don't get scared away by the 499 per month enterprise plan, as all we need right now is the basic free plan and just go ahead and click get started. the next thing is that we need to go ahead and link deezers to aliexpress. so if you just click this logo right here, it's going to take us right through to aliexpress and ideally, you want to already have an account set up. if you don't, it's super quick and easy to make an account on aliexpress. just click authorize and then you're going to get this little support bot and obviously what we want to do at this point is start importing products and figuring out which products we want to sell on our store. it's going to take you through a really quick guide, but i don't real.

What is Shopify? A Shopify explanation for beginners

this is my shopify seller dashboard. i've made over 3 500 in revenue over a three month period since i've had my shopify account up and running. there seems to be a lot of confusion about what shopify is and what it isn't, so i've created this video in hopes of clarifying some of that information. shopify is an e-commerce platform through which you can create your own website to sell your products online. it is not an online marketplace like amazon, ebay or etsy. when you post your products for sale on an online marketplace, you're selling to an already existing customer base. hundreds and thousands of customers who shop on amazoncom or ebaycom can potentially view and purchase your product. by contrast, when you create your own website through shopify, you have to actively promote your website and products to drive traffic and potential customers to your site. if you take the time to create a shopify website and post your products on there, but don't take the time to promote and spread the word about your site, you won't get any sales because nobody knows that it exists. there are multiple ways to promote your shopify site. first and foremost, create an instagram or facebook page for the products that you intend to sell. make sure you have a link to your shopify site posted in a visible place in all of your social media platforms. you can also create google and facebook ad campaigns within the shopify platform to promote your products. most importantly, create an ebay and amazon seller account and link them to your shopify account using the shopify channels feature. by linking the social media and external seller accounts to your shopify account, you will greatly increase your visibility and chances of making sales. i have my ebay, amazon, facebook and instagram account all connected to my shopify account so that every time i post a new item for sale, it will simultaneously also be posted on all of these other platforms and i can handle all of the orders that i receive from these other sites within my shopify seller platform. let me show you a quick example of how this works. this is a onesie and t-shirt set that i was selling for father's day. i posted the item for sale on my shopify website and, because i have my other seller accounts and social media accounts linked, you'll see that it also posted to all of my other accounts, including facebook, instagram and amazon. when i get a sale on any of these other accounts, shopify will notify me and i can log into my shopify platform and print the shipping label to ship out the item. this saves me the trouble of having to log into multiple accounts to handle my orders. taking advantage of this integration and the shopify channels feature is what has generated over 90 percent of my revenue. this is my shopify website. i sell mostly handmade or hand altered items like custom t-shirts, invitations, banners, mugs, etcetera, but you do not have to create your own products to have a successful shopify business. you can start a drop shipping business by buying your products from a wholesaler like aliexpress or dhskatecom. you can start making money online today by taking advantage of all the features that shopify has to offer. if you found this video helpful and want to create a shopify website, you can use my referral link below to get a free two-week trial. let me know if you have any questions or comments and be sure to like and subscribe for more content.
