00:01:41 00:01:45 got I got my first started drop shipping
00:01:43 00:01:47 years back now when I was building up my
00:01:45 00:01:50 fishing businesses and I didn't really
00:01:47 00:01:52 have the cash flow to really invest into
00:01:50 00:01:53 my business and that's when I started
00:01:52 00:01:55 learning about dropship and I started
00:01:53 00:01:57 learning about hey you know you these
00:01:55 00:01:59 suppliers can dropship for you orders on
00:01:57 00:02:00 demand essentially and it sounded
00:01:59 00:02:02 amazing and that's one of the biggest
00:02:00 00:02:04 pros of drop shipping is you don't need
00:02:02 00:02:06 a lot of cash to be able to start a
00:02:04 00:02:08 business you can literally have your you
00:02:06 00:02:09 know would be stuff if you can start
00:02:08 00:02:11 selling right now and your supplier can
00:02:09 00:02:13 start shipping the products on your
00:02:11 00:02:14 behalf it's amazing
00:02:13 00:02:17 right and you could easily build up cash
00:02:14 00:02:19 flow with that now that's what exactly
00:02:17 00:02:21 what I did now the thing is guys with
00:02:19 00:02:24 those pros right there there are a lot
00:02:21 00:02:25 of cons that come along with with drop
00:02:24 00:02:28 shipping now the biggest one being
00:02:25 00:02:30 fulfillment right fulfillment takes a
00:02:28 00:02:32 long time right your customers are
00:02:30 00:02:34 waiting two three weeks to get their
00:02:32 00:02:35 products in the hands in their hands
00:02:34 00:02:37 right that's that's a problem are you
00:02:35 00:02:39 gonna have some customer service
00:02:37 00:02:40 headaches right another con is product
00:02:39 00:02:42 quality you don't really know what
00:02:40 00:02:43 you're gonna get maybe the sample that
00:02:42 00:02:45 you order from your supplier it looks
00:02:43 00:02:47 all good when you get it but then what's
00:02:45 00:02:48 the actual product that your customers
00:02:47 00:02:51 are gonna be getting another thing is
00:02:48 00:02:52 product customizability now some of you
00:02:51 00:02:54 might have suppliers that you're working
00:02:52 00:02:56 with on Aliexpress or or wherever they
00:02:54 00:02:57 can actually put insert cards for you
00:02:56 00:02:59 maybe they can customize the product for
00:02:57 00:03:01 you fantastik but still its shipping
00:02:59 00:03:03 from overseas it's taking time right
00:03:01 00:03:04 you're you're losing out on a lot of
00:03:03 00:03:07 different marketing strategies that you
00:03:04 00:03:08 could be using it with the product being
00:03:07 00:03:10 sent to your customers different how's
00:03:08 00:03:11 it insert cards if it kinds of marketing

00:03:11 00:03:15 your what you're losing out on now I

00:03:40 00:03:43 running an e-commerce business and that
00:03:42 00:03:45 drop shipping isn't necessarily a
00:03:43 00:03:47 sustainable business model so I want to
00:03:45 00:03:49 tell you guys a little bit about my
00:03:47 00:03:51 strategy moving forward and I want to
00:03:49 00:03:53 tell you hopefully you follow the same
00:03:51 00:03:55 advice because I want you to build
00:03:53 00:03:57 something long-lasting I want you
00:03:55 00:03:58 something to build something that is
00:03:57 00:03:59 that can sustain your life for years and
00:03:58 00:04:01 years to come
00:03:59 00:04:03 potentially sell a sellable asset for
00:04:01 00:04:05 you and that could really change your
00:04:03 00:04:06 life because the way it is right now
00:04:05 00:04:09 guys if you're just continuing to sell
00:04:06 00:04:10 from aliexpress drop shipping random
00:04:09 00:04:12 garbage to your customers right that's
00:04:10 00:04:14 not sustainable that's not going to be
00:04:12 00:04:15 anything that an investor will ever buy
00:04:14 00:04:16 from you and it's surely something that
00:04:15 00:04:19 you're not gonna get really repeat
00:04:16 00:04:20 customers to buy from you okay so as I
00:04:19 00:04:22 mentioned the pros of drop shipping are
00:04:20 00:04:25 amazing for a newbie right me you
00:04:22 00:04:26 anybody right can start a drop shooting
00:04:25 00:04:28 business literally right now you
00:04:26 00:04:30 throw up a Shopify store you can use a
00:04:28 00:04:31 sales funnel I recommend using click
00:04:30 00:04:33 funnels to build out sales funnels over
00:04:31 00:04:35 Shopify but any of us can build up a
00:04:33 00:04:37 quick store float a bunch of products
00:04:35 00:04:39 from it from an Aliexpress or wherever
00:04:37 00:04:41 and start driving traffic in sales to it
00:04:39 00:04:43 right never at a time in history have we
00:04:41 00:04:44 ever lived in a time where you know you
00:04:43 00:04:46 can start a business for like 50 bucks
00:04:44 00:04:48 and have all the systems in place ready
00:04:46 00:04:50 to go for you and the thing is guys I
00:04:48 00:04:53 don't want you guys to misconstrue this
00:04:50 00:04:55 because I think if you're a brand a new
00:04:53 00:04:56 person before going in and investing a
00:04:55 00:04:58 ton of money in your own brand of
00:04:56 00:05:00 products I do recommend you testing and
00:04:58 00:05:02 sourcing and before you source your own
00:05:00 00:05:03 products test that you could actually
00:05:02 00:05:05 sell it so that's the number one thing I
00:05:03 00:05:07 want you guys to really think about is
00:05:05 00:05:09 right now let's say you're selling 500
00:05:07 00:05:11 to a thousand units of a product that
00:05:09 00:05:12 that's doing well for you start branding
00:05:11 00:05:14 start sourcing right you have that cash
00:05:12 00:05:16 flow built up now start branding that
00:05:14 00:05:18 product bringing it into US fulfillment
00:05:16 00:05:20 centers or wherever you're wherever you
00:05:18 00:05:22 want to fulfill them out from because
00:05:20 00:05:23 guess what guys you it's not sustainable
00:05:22 00:05:25 enough for you to just keep dropping
00:05:23 00:05:27 from a from an overseas suppliers till
00:05:25 00:05:29 the end of time right you have to evolve
00:05:27 00:05:31 your business goes through stages now
00:05:29 00:05:33 the first stage I recommend people
00:05:31 00:05:35 inside our inner circle inside our
00:05:33 00:05:37 Academy is still focus on finding those
00:05:35 00:05:39 winners find those winning products
00:05:37 00:05:40 those winning offers through your
00:05:39 00:05:42 funnels through your Shopify store

00:05:43 00:05:48 sell them even if you have to drop ship
00:05:45 00:05:50 from from amazon.com wherever prove that
00:05:48 00:05:51 you sell pretend right this is always a
00:05:50 00:05:52 test I'd love to give people that
00:05:51 00:05:53 because we have a lot of people that
00:05:52 00:05:55 want to brand their own products right
00:05:53 00:05:56 out of the gate and I always tell them
00:05:55 00:05:57 this is number one thing that I always
00:05:56 00:05:59 tell people when they want a brand new
00:05:57 00:06:01 products I'm like prove to yourself that
00:05:59 00:06:03 you can sell pretend right now in your
00:06:01 00:06:05 garage or in a fulfillment center right
00:06:03 00:06:06 now you have a thousand units waiting to
00:06:05 00:06:08 be sold to pretend right you can always
00:06:06 00:06:10 refund your customer if you make sales
00:06:08 00:06:11 but guess what you need to proof of
00:06:10 00:06:15 concept you need to prove to yourself
00:06:11 00:06:17 that you can do it okay now after you
00:06:15 00:06:19 start just making some cash flow making
00:06:17 00:06:20 some money and made that proof concept
00:06:19 00:06:22 at that point you should have a little
00:06:20 00:06:24 bit of money my recommendation usually
00:06:22 00:06:26 is gonna be around five thousand dollars
00:06:24 00:06:28 you're gonna need to invent and it
00:06:26 00:06:31 depends on what you're sourcing as I'm
00:06:28 00:06:33 just giving you a very baseline when I
00:06:31 00:06:35 first source my own prenda products the
00:06:33 00:06:37 the cost was around five to ten thousand
00:06:35 00:06:38 dollars so that's roughly what you're
00:06:37 00:06:39 gonna need to build up in your cash flow
00:06:38 00:06:41 now you can do that
00:06:39 00:06:43 with drop shooing that's what I did when
00:06:41 00:06:45 we sold our business that gave me a huge
00:06:43 00:06:47 amount of capital to invest obvious in
00:06:45 00:06:48 things outside of e-commerce but it also
00:06:47 00:06:50 gave me the cash flow to launch our new
00:06:48 00:06:52 brand that we're launching called
00:06:50 00:06:54 untapped it's a supplement brand now if
00:06:52 00:06:56 you told me you know six seven years ago
00:06:54 00:06:58 hey go launch a brand new a supplement
00:06:56 00:06:59 business right out of the gate I would
00:06:58 00:07:01 have called you crazy because it would
00:06:59 00:07:04 have costed way too much money right but
00:07:01 00:07:05 the thing is now I can go and invest ten
00:07:04 00:07:08 fifteen twenty thousand dollars in a new
00:07:05 00:07:10 business idea that I have because I have
00:07:08 00:07:13 that cash flow from what dropshipping
00:07:10 00:07:14 actually brought me okay things evolve
00:07:13 00:07:16 your business evolves the business that
00:07:14 00:07:18 you're running right now isn't going to
00:07:16 00:07:20 look the same or feel the same when it's
00:07:18 00:07:22 actually at that seven-figure level so
00:07:20 00:07:25 think about hey let me get the cash flow
00:07:22 00:07:26 in bring that cash flow in right brand
00:07:25 00:07:28 your and source your own products and
00:07:26 00:07:29 you're gonna come at two at a decision
00:07:28 00:07:31 you're gonna come at a crossroads I
00:07:29 00:07:33 promise you this when you are about to
00:07:31 00:07:34 put in a ten thousand twenty thousand
00:07:33 00:07:36 dollar purchase order you're gonna be
00:07:34 00:07:39 like is this the business that I
00:07:36 00:07:41 actually want to be involved in is this
00:07:39 00:07:42 the business that like not on my dream
00:07:41 00:07:45 so is this a business that I could see
00:07:42 00:07:47 myself running for five ten years and
00:07:45 00:07:49 still enjoying the process and a lot of
00:07:47 00:07:51 you are going to say no and a lot of you
00:07:49 00:07:53 are that is why you are stuck with
00:07:51 00:07:55 aliexpress drop shipping and refusing to
00:07:53 00:07:57 elevate yourself elevate your business
00:07:55 00:07:59 and progress your business as you know
00:07:57 00:08:01 you should it's because you're selling
00:07:59 00:08:02 things you're selling products you're
00:08:01 00:08:05 selling drops trading products that you
00:08:02 00:08:06 have you don't believe in okay and this
00:08:05 00:08:08 comes back to really being passionate
00:08:06 00:08:11 about the niche that you're going into
00:08:08 00:08:14 for example with untapped I want to sell
00:08:11 00:08:16 this I can I use my own products okay
00:08:14 00:08:18 that's how I know you know I'm
00:08:16 00:08:20 comfortable putting in that amount of
00:08:18 00:08:21 money okay so what I really want you
00:08:20 00:08:24 guys to take away from it I would love
00:08:21 00:08:25 to hear your comments on a or are you
00:08:24 00:08:26 thinking about branding your own
00:08:25 00:08:28 products what are your thoughts about
00:08:26 00:08:30 sourcing and branding your own products
00:08:28 00:08:32 are you in a position right now to do so

00:08:32 00:08:36 back is it just cash right if it is just
00:08:34 00:08:38 cash my recommendation for you is to
00:08:36 00:08:39 start charging more for your products
00:08:38 00:08:41 and some of you might be thinking well

00:08:41 00:08:44 doing aliexpress drop shipping
00:08:43 00:08:46 well there's ways to combat that you can
00:08:44 00:08:48 add different kinds of bonuses not
00:08:46 00:08:50 physical products with information
00:08:48 00:08:51 products into your whatever you're
00:08:50 00:08:53 selling let's say you're selling you
00:08:51 00:08:54 know you know a fishing lure or whatever
00:08:53 00:08:56 there's different things you can bundle
00:08:54 00:08:59 in there to increase the perceived value
00:08:56 00:09:02 so you can charge more your goal really
00:08:59 00:09:03 is to get as quickly as much casual as
00:09:02 00:09:06 possible so then you could start
00:09:03 00:09:08 sourcing and branding your own inventory
00:09:06 00:09:09 now some amazing things starting to
00:09:08 00:09:10 happen when you start sourcing and
00:09:09 00:09:12 branding your own products and this is
00:09:10 00:09:14 this is some of the stuff I wanted to go
00:09:12 00:09:16 over guys is product quality you're
00:09:14 00:09:19 gonna be able to create your own unique
00:09:16 00:09:20 product okay now the thing is the
00:09:19 00:09:21 product so you're kind of selling on
00:09:20 00:09:22 Aliexpress right now you're stuck with
00:09:21 00:09:24 what they kind of give you you can't
00:09:22 00:09:26 really customize it in any way can't put
00:09:24 00:09:27 your logo on it maybe there's some
00:09:26 00:09:28 things you want to change around and
00:09:27 00:09:31 maybe the pattern or whatever when you
00:09:28 00:09:32 start sourcing and branding you can do
00:09:31 00:09:34 whatever you want you can put your logo
00:09:32 00:09:35 right on your you know your fishing lure
00:09:34 00:09:37 your survival knife or whatever you're
00:09:35 00:09:39 selling you could change around maybe
00:09:37 00:09:41 you wanted rubber grips instead of just
00:09:39 00:09:43 no grips right you could change around
00:09:41 00:09:44 features of it and actually start
00:09:43 00:09:46 creating something unique into the
00:09:44 00:09:47 marketplace and that has to be fun for
00:09:46 00:09:49 you promise you you're not gonna go and
00:09:47 00:09:51 customize products look feel all that
00:09:49 00:09:53 sorts of stuff if you're not into
00:09:51 00:09:55 whatever you're selling you're not going
00:09:53 00:09:56 to be into it you need to be into
00:09:55 00:09:57 whatever you're selling because you're
00:09:56 00:09:59 not gonna be able to innovate new
00:09:57 00:10:01 products and services with it now along
00:09:59 00:10:03 with product quality product design
00:10:01 00:10:04 you're also going to be able to do
00:10:03 00:10:06 different new marketing strategies doing
00:10:04 00:10:08 insert cards right I love putting in
00:10:06 00:10:09 insert cards in my products I plan to do

00:10:09 00:10:13 things that's gonna remind your customer

00:10:46 00:10:49 been wanting same thing when you start

00:10:54 00:10:57 every three months to our house and it's
00:10:56 00:10:59 like Christmas there's all sorts of cool

00:10:59 00:11:01 type of way even though all those
00:11:00 00:11:03 products you could probably go get for
00:11:01 00:11:05 like 10 bucks somewhere else but it's
00:11:03 00:11:07 the feeling that you get when you when

00:11:07 00:11:10 all those goodies and stuff inside same
00:11:09 00:11:11 exact thing that you want to be thinking
00:11:10 00:11:13 do that those are the long-term
00:11:11 00:11:15 strategies that you want to be thinking

00:11:15 00:11:19 your customer to feel when they get that
