00:01:04 00:01:08 tangible asset of your business okay you
00:01:07 00:01:10 might not want to believe that you're
00:01:08 00:01:12 you think your business is different
00:01:10 00:01:14 right and I know everybody always says I
00:01:12 00:01:16 owe my business is different but guys do
00:01:14 00:01:18 YouTube channel your Instagram your
00:01:16 00:01:21 Facebook groups your facebook business
00:01:18 00:01:24 page all of those things are not yours
00:01:21 00:01:26 those are the platforms okay you can get
00:01:24 00:01:29 banned for whatever reason on Instagram
00:01:26 00:01:32 or YouTube or wherever you have have
00:01:29 00:01:33 access to your customers okay but the

00:01:41 00:01:46 your customers and prospects on an email

00:01:46 00:01:50 business will not die okay this is a
00:01:48 00:01:51 little a lot of people I see making this
00:01:50 00:01:54 mistake is putting all of their eggs in
00:01:51 00:01:57 one basket instead of having it across
00:01:54 00:01:59 all of them now how do we combat the
00:01:57 00:02:00 terrible conversion rates that we see
00:01:59 00:02:03 with email right open rates are lower
00:02:00 00:02:04 click-through rates are lower and I want
00:02:03 00:02:06 to preface this by saying guys it's not
00:02:04 00:02:07 that email marketing is dead it's
00:02:06 00:02:09 usually is the relationship that you
00:02:07 00:02:11 have with your email list right if
00:02:09 00:02:12 you've never emailed them before and
00:02:11 00:02:14 then you come out of the blue and sorry
00:02:12 00:02:16 emailing them every day or every other
00:02:14 00:02:17 day they're not gonna open your emails
00:02:16 00:02:19 because the email that they don't have
00:02:17 00:02:21 that relationship with you anymore right
00:02:19 00:02:23 there's a reason that you'll always open
00:02:21 00:02:25 up an email from your mother or a friend
00:02:23 00:02:26 or somebody along those lines right you

00:02:47 00:02:52 constantly just sending promotional
00:02:50 00:02:54 stuff right they're never just providing
00:02:52 00:02:56 value to their customers okay it's
00:02:54 00:02:58 really important to understand that guys
00:02:56 00:03:00 is email marketing it's not just about
00:02:58 00:03:01 doing promotional launches and selling
00:03:00 00:03:03 to your customers constantly of course
00:03:01 00:03:05 of course making sales are making money
00:03:03 00:03:07 in your e-commerce business is important
00:03:05 00:03:08 but you want to make sure you're
00:03:07 00:03:11 providing value because as you provide
00:03:08 00:03:14 more value to your customers on your
00:03:11 00:03:16 email list right reciprocity kicks in so

00:03:18 00:03:21 your customers will be a lot more likely

00:05:57 00:06:01 but the thing is you what do you want to
00:05:59 00:06:03 understand is striping yourself and your
00:06:01 00:06:05 audience across multiple platforms right
00:06:03 00:06:08 because people do consume content
00:06:05 00:06:10 differently okay for example with

00:06:21 00:06:24 don't realize that this is all across

00:06:30 00:06:33 here on YouTube that are that are
00:06:31 00:06:35 watching this right we also have these
00:06:33 00:06:37 videos made into snippets that are
00:06:35 00:06:38 posted on facebook and also an on our
00:06:37 00:06:40 Instagram pages
00:06:38 00:06:42 and post it out to Twitter and all the
00:06:40 00:06:44 other social media platforms okay
00:06:42 00:06:47 and at the same time collecting email
00:06:44 00:06:50 addresses across all of those platforms
00:06:47 00:06:53 as well so think about it guys now this
00:06:50 00:06:54 piece of content right I if I just sent
00:06:53 00:06:56 an email right with just this piece of
00:06:54 00:06:59 content out of course only get maybe you
00:06:56 00:07:01 know a 15 20 percent open rate on that
00:06:59 00:07:02 email and maybe you got five percent
00:07:01 00:07:05 click-through rate to somebody to watch
00:07:02 00:07:07 the video right which is fine I get that
00:07:05 00:07:08 I send it to an email then I create have
00:07:07 00:07:10 people that consume it on YouTube which
00:07:08 00:07:13 is another whole separate audience
00:07:10 00:07:15 segment I posted on my podcast which is
00:07:13 00:07:16 another audience segment posted across
00:07:15 00:07:18 social media platforms which is another
00:07:16 00:07:21 audience segment so that twenty percent
00:07:18 00:07:24 it gets closer to third 30 40 50 percent
00:07:21 00:07:26 even more right because as you are have
00:07:24 00:07:28 as you stripe it across multiple
00:07:26 00:07:30 platforms right people are consuming
00:07:28 00:07:32 content differently you don't know where
00:07:30 00:07:34 somebody's gonna consume that piece of
00:07:32 00:07:35 content okay and I know some of you that
00:07:34 00:07:37 are brand new you're like oh man that
00:07:35 00:07:39 seems very overwhelming just start with
00:07:37 00:07:40 one platform that you're doing I often
00:07:39 00:07:43 recommend people just do Instagram and
00:07:40 00:07:45 Facebook because they're easiest if you
00:07:43 00:07:47 do love what you do I wouldn't I would
00:07:45 00:07:49 recommend doing a YouTube channel
00:07:47 00:07:51 absolutely but the key to understand is
00:07:49 00:07:52 wow these people are on different
00:07:51 00:07:54 platforms your customers they're
00:07:52 00:07:56 consuming your content it's important to
00:07:54 00:07:59 push them and get that email address as
00:07:56 00:08:00 well from them so you're creating that
00:07:59 00:08:02 real asset for your business this is
00:08:00 00:08:03 there's a reason that I recommend you
00:08:02 00:08:06 guys use sales funnels instead of a
00:08:03 00:08:09 Shopify store right it's for this very
00:08:06 00:08:11 reason these funnels they automatikally
00:08:09 00:08:13 immediately when somebody lands on your
00:08:11 00:08:15 store they collect an email address
00:08:13 00:08:16 there is no if ands or buts your
00:08:15 00:08:17 customer doesn't have a choice they have
00:08:16 00:08:20 to give you the email address or leave
00:08:17 00:08:22 right building that asset immediately
00:08:20 00:08:24 right right from the beginning the right
00:08:22 00:08:27 from the moment that somebody lands on
