How To Design A Shopify Store In 10 Minutes (Step-By-Step)

having a bad website will kill your chances of success on shopify, even if you have the best products and ads. it's so much harder to see results with a low quality store. so in this video, i'll be sharing the exact store template that i'm using right now to generate over a hundred thousand dollars a month, and i'll be showing you, step by step, exactly how to easily build one for yourself. if you're new here, my name is jordan and i'm currently documenting the entire process of growing my ecommerce brand with as much transparency as possible. so if you're interested in starting your own online business, make sure to subscribe for new videos every single friday. also just want to say thank you guys so much for 50 000 subscribers. so to give back to you guys, i'm gonna do something that i usually don't do. i'm gonna give away a free one-on-one coaching call to one of you. to enter the giveaway, just drop a comment down below, follow me on instagram and dm me. when you're done, i'll be announcing the winner for this next friday. anyways, let's get started with the video. first things first. here are some live results that i'm getting with this exact template. so, as you can see halfway through the day, i've already done over 2500 in sales and if we look at yesterday's stats, you can see that this store is averaging around five thousand dollars a day. everybody is always asking about profit, so let's take a look. yesterday i did around fifteen hundred dollars in profit and today, so far, halfway through the day, i'm at around in profit, which is close to 30 daily margin. i'm not showing this to brag, but just to prove that this layout is working. today, i figured the best way to explain this would be to make a sample store that follows this exact template, so that's what i did. let's have a look at that sample store. so this is a store that i created in the home and garden niche- the type of stores that i like to build to test products look just like this. basically, we're building a nice, clean, branded store with good logo, good images, multiple collections inside of that niche, high quality products and images and, overall, a trustworthy and legitimate feel. i get dms every single day of people asking me: why am i struggling to see results? and then i look at their store and it looks like this: if you take the time to make a nice, clean, branded website, seeing success with ecommerce is going to be so much easier. this kind of store is perfect for testing products because it is branded, it has a trustworthy feel, but it's also broad enough that you can test a variety of products without being too constrained. i like to call this kind of store a hybrid store. it basically bridges the gap between a general and niche store. building a store like this is really not that difficult, so i'm gonna break down how to do it right now. the first thing that you're gonna need to come up with is a clean name and logo. to come up with names, i highly recommend you guys check out this tool called lean domain search. basically, you can take any word or phrase that you like and plug it into here and they're gonna show you websites that are ready to go that have this word inside of it. so in my case, i used the word flora because it fit perfectly for the home and garden space, and i scrolled and scrolled until i found the name flora flow, which i really like. all of the names on this website are available to purchase for the com domain right away, so i would take some time and try to come up with at least five phrases that would fit with your branding. so now that you've come up with a name, you need to create a logo now. i know graphic design might be intimidating to a lot of you, but nowadays there are a ton of tools that make it incredibly simple. one of my favorite tools to do this is actually called canva. canva has a bunch of these logo templates already built into the app, and it's actually what i use to build the flora flow logo. you can literally scroll through their library and find a clean logo for your brand in seconds and know this video is not sponsored by them. i just really like their product. so, as you can see, the template that i use for the floraflow logo is right here. i literally typed in flower. i looked at the options, i found this one and i just simply typed in the logo name and then i made it a little bigger, centered it in the middle and i deleted the bottom and i made a logo for the brand in 10 seconds. now, look, it's going to take you longer than 10 seconds and you shouldn't rush the process, but i would highly advise you guys. use that tool to build your logo. i'm also a big fan of photoshop. for my brand that i'm running right now, i designed my logo in photoshop, but it's a lot more advanced and not very beginner friendly. once you've got a name and a logo, the next step is to build out a nice home page for your store. now, when you're running ads to this store, typically you're going to send people to the product pages. yeah, you might have a cool product, you might have a cool product page, but if your customer starts browsing around your website and they get a weird vibe, they're not going to spend money with you and even if they do, the chances of them remembering your brand and buying again are so slim. so this is the exact layout that i use for all of my home pages. let's break it down. there are a ton of themes to use on shopify and it can kind of be overwhelming. this store is actually built on the impulse theme, which is by far one of my favorite paid themes, and if you're looking for a good free theme, i recommend that you guys check out debutify. i've used both of them and personally i like impulse a little better, but if you're on a low budget, debutify is an amazing option. first things first. we need a nice and clean header. try to come up with something creative that introduces the people to your brand in a very inviting way. now i could have easily wrote the best products for your home and garden, but i think it's much better to put something that has a little bit more flair and life to it. so in this example, i put stylus essentials for the modern home designed to elevate your lifestyle. if you're struggling with copywriting, just go look at some of the biggest brands out there. in terms of this image and all the images on the site, shopify actually provides a bunch of really sick free images and a lot of people don't know about this. so if you go down to image and you click on change and you go to free images, you can search up almost anything. so in my case, i searched up flower and you'll see that shopify has a bunch of these really nice high quality images that they're constantly updating almost every single week, and they're really fire. the next thing i do is typically put one of our collections on display. in this case it's the best sellers, because those are my favorite products on the store, so i wanted to put those front and center and when they click on it, you're gonna see that these are our top selling products and a nice, clean, organized page. we also give them an offer with up to fifty 50 off on the select products, and it's just something that gives them some incentive to click and start shopping. the next thing that i really like to do is show some type of mission statement for the brand. i think that this really helps your customers connect with you and feel like they're a part of something greater than just buying a product. so you can see, what i put here is that we want to help over 10 000 people create their dream environment through providing our own unique products worldwide. now, this is going to be different for everybody, so make sure that you come with something unique for your brand. and once again, i just took the image directly from shopify. now, the next thing that i threw in here: it was just a promotion. you don't need to have this, but i included it because i thought it looked nice, so you can just see it's 50 off of our spring and summer collection. and then i just put a little blurb about stay at home and stay at peace with these essentials t.

Top 10 Shopify Apps You SHOULD BE Using In 2022 (E-commerce Tips)

hey, everyone davey here, welcome to our first video of 2022. today we're going to go through my 10 favorite shopify apps. shopify makes it so easy to install apps. it's one of its super powers. apps can increase conversion rate, increase average order value and make you a ton more money. apps need to come with the warnings, though. if you use the wrong apps, it can slow your website down and leave a ton of money off the table. for those that have been following along in our lemon scrub series, you know that we've got our website all set up. now it's time to install apps. if you haven't been following on, that's okay. i'm just going to use the lemon scrub as an example in this video. none of these apps have paid me for this video. there are a couple of affiliate links down below, but i'm going to give you lots of alternatives and outline the pricing so you can make the best choice for your business. let's get into it. the first app that we're going to cover today is perfect if your product is low average order value, so basically under 70 or so. with products like that, shipping costs a lot of money compared to the actual revenue that you can bring in per order. the app is called ship scout. it's always difficult to understand when you launch your product whether you should offer free shipping or charge a little bit. free shipping should be more appealing to customers and therefore increase your conversion rate, so the more people that go to your store will actually end up checking out. a lot of brands will actually just add the cost of shipping onto the price of their product, making their product just a little bit more expensive. to cover that cost, what ship scout does is it allows you to actually split test that concept. what this allows you to do is actually test shipping thresholds. for lemon scrub, for example, if we're selling for 40 and we have a free shipping over 50 offer on the header bar, it would entike people to actually purchase two of the product, drastikally increasing our average order value. naturally, with all split tests, if you're trying to raise prices- which in this case you are- for the people that only wanted to buy one lemon scrub because you're going to charge them shipping, you should expect a conversion rate decrease because less people buy, because there's less value. i've been following along on twitter and there's been some really strange results for this app. not only have people been receiving an aov increase with their orders, but a lot of people are actually reporting that conversion rate also increases, which is completely counterintuitive. one theory behind this is users are just thinking they're getting a better deal with a free shipping offer over the threshold. if you're currently charging free shipping and you've got low margin products where people can buy a couple of them, i definitely recommend trying it out. to find the app, all we need to do is go to the app store right in ship scout and it's just here. there isn't a huge amount of reviews on it yet because i do think it is still early. the reviews are good. we can just add the app. as you can see, it's 49 a month and a seven day free trial. so maybe try to run a significant test within that seven days to hedge your bets. as with installing all new apps, if you are doing a lot of traffic through your store, you may need to vet the app from a speed perspective first. you can have a dummy store and install the app and check the speed in google analytiks. one disclaimer about this app is that you will need to be using the advanced shopify plan, which is 299 dollars a month. so if you are a new brand, then it may not be right for you. one option is that you can upgrade your shopify plan to the 299 option, use the free trial of ship scout at the same time and then just revert your shopify plan back. so the actual cost of using the shopify app is just the difference between the basic and the advanced shopify plan. the next app that i highly recommend that you use this year is called dexter, or neat a b test. both of these apps are incredible at split testing pricing. pricing is one of the most underrated split tests that entrepreneurs just refuse to do. there's a few reasons why they refuse to do this. firstly, they're worried that customers will see both pricing. this is very unlikely. even if you're a huge brand, customers definitely don't pay this much attention to your business. much like ship scout, price changes will affect a few things. they'll affect conversion rate, but they'll also increase the revenue that we can create per visitors. so therefore the profits. i suggest using these apps to split test pricing in intervals that are relative to the product price. for example, if your product is around fifty dollars, split test the pricing by five to ten dollars. if your products five hundred dollars, maybe you wanna split test by fifty dollars. this is great to do early on, but also as your brand adapts over time, especially with the current fears of inflation, what will happen is prices will go up across the board. this is the perfect opportunity for you to raise prices because your suppliers, your freight forwarders and your couriers- they're all raising their prices. so you need to pass those costs on. reasonable price raises shouldn't affect your brand as much as you think. one of the worst things that you can do is just constantly keep absorbing those costs until your business stops being profitable and therefore you actually go out of business. so to find these apps, i'll start with neat a b test. neat a forward slash b, and it should be this first one just here. so it's got 39 reviews. you can see the dexter app is an ad above it, um, which is the other one that i have used. um, that's that one is actually charged out at 3.99 per 100 visitors approximately. so the more people that you use the split test with, they'll actually charge you, which can add up to be quite expensive, but it is a really effective app. i like it. and neat a b testing is around 29 a month, um, and you get the the 14 day trial there as well, so i'm just going to add that up to our store so we can use it later. the other option that you do have with split testing is to use a big, robust tool like google optimize or optimizely. google optimize is free, but it is quite hard to use. you will need to use something like google tag manager to set up events. if you've got a clothing store, google optimize can be a really good way to split test all your pricing at once. you can actually duplicate all your products and create a split test, pushing people to one collection page of one pricing and the other page with the new pricing. these apps that i just mentioned, though, are far simpler, and you can just test single product variants very, very easily. the next app that i recommend is okendo. these guys are doing some really cool stuff. reviews are incredibly important to make your shopify look trustworthy and increase conversion rate. a kendo seems to be a really robust tool that is offering lots of customizable review options, so, for example, if you're a clothing store, you can actually ask people to review things like the fit- is it true to size, or even the softness- is it comfortable? these reviews can then be paired with photos and videos to really make sure that the customer believes the review is real and guide their decision making. a kendo starts at around 29 a month. the alternative that a lot of people use is luke's. however, what seems to be happening with luke's is a lot of dropshippers are actually using the brand, which is decreasing the credibility. there are a lot of review apps out there. make sure that your one isn't slowing down the website speed so we can come into here and go ekendo and you can see the product reviews right here. it's got 424 reviews at 5 stars. people are loving it. the customer service is really, really strong. the alternative they did mention was luke's, which is here. it's obviously far more popular at this stage. definitely hit scale, but a kendo might catch it. luke's is cheaper, at 9.99 a mont.

at today is called hyu denim Co from a town in Wales called cardigan and they used to have the UK's biggest Gene manufacturer into around 2002. then it's shut down or Believers suppressed by another company. this was reinstarted here in around 2010 and really they sell jeans here and that's their specialty. as you can see, it's do one thing well and that's what this company does. so we take a look at their home page. here we can see something great they do is just really high quality photos all featuring their products subtly with really amazing scenery. you can see in their first photo they're kind of highlighting jeans as they're wearing white t-shirts to not attract attention to it. they're not showing their faces either. something great this Shopify store does as well is the r story page. they're telling the story about the genes, how the town was made and how they brought other Gene expertise into this new business, and if you click on any of these images you can dive into more depth. their town is about making jeans again. it's only a town- around 4 000 people- and 400 of them make jeans, so it's 35 000 pairs a week for three decades. so they wanted to bring that Manufacturing home again. so the factory was closed and left. so they wanted to bring it back and make use of that expertise, and so this is what they're doing. you also get images of their Factory here, on how things look, how things used to look. they're ethos, their user manual. they also have a 30 minute video showing scenery from the town here, which is, I think, a great touch, as it's going to personalize things a little bit more. so we just plugged in their site into similar web, which is going to give us an estimated idea of their traffic and revenue. so we can see it's under one million dollars. they have around 54 000 site visits. it's about 3.4 signages per visit. seven web is great too, because we get idea on their demographics, the audience interests, as well as which countries. we can see it's primarily in that Kingdom, which makes sense as that's where they're based out of. so next let's take a look at catnip. this was founded by cartoonist called Harry Hambly and his original character was this beans character here. each one almost merchandise online and selling different illustrations as well. this website does a great job with its colors. they're all vibrant, they kind of match the aesthetik of the clothing and the designs, and he has really high quality product imagery here, showing you exactly what the apparel is like, the designs. they quite a few different items of merch as well, save things from apparel to mugs to pins. overall quite a few items there and overall there's not too much categorization needed, as you have some overall for apparel, plushies and accessories, because when you go to shop all here there's not a ton of inventory items. this makes sense to why they chose to do that there. so overall, really cool inspiration as well. as if you're an artist and you want to sell items online, you can use Shopify, as it makes it really easy to do that overall. the annual revenue estimate isn't available on similar webs here, but we can see it has around 24 000 site visits and most of its user base is based in the US, but quite a bit in Australia and Spain as well, and primarily the demographic is between an 18 and 44 range. it really tapers off significantly as you pass that too. next let's take a look at tantry here. this is an ethical company where every product you buy, the company will go and plant 10 trees, toking about an environmentally friendly Vibe, and you are helping the Earth Here by planting more trees, by perturing to sing a product here, which is a great way to promote not only sustainability for the environment but to align your products with a mission, with an approach. so you're not just purchasing a piece of apparel here, you're helping support the environment in some way. so if you go through the website, that's featured quite a bit so you get your own interactive virtual Forest. you can get rewarded for doing good tree planting- on autopilot as well, so you can enroll in that too. but they also go into how much is being saved. so sustainability is equal to transparency. so the apparel industry creates around 10.5 million tons per year. so they're helping to divert some of that from landfills while conserving water and important resources as well. they're also going to plant 10 trees. with every purchase, as mentioned before, you can see around 200 MMG saved this year, 245 mm liters, as well as one mmk gene CO2 safe. there's a great way here to show the actual impact so far. they also do a great job of featuring their influencers. so you can see them laid out here on the page with high quality product imagery to show off some of the apparel item. they also have reviews on the homepage. they also have this ad scene section where, if you have been mentioned in any artikles, that's a great one to include, as it's going to include social proof as well as elevate your brand a little bit. they also do a great job with their product imagery. if we take a look at the collection page here, we can see a banner image on top followed by full length product photos. usually they're squares, so they're really featuring their apparel here and focusing on that imagery, which is really a must as they are apparel brand. so we take a look at them in similar web. they don't have estimated Revenue as well, but we can see they have around 244 000 site visits, which is significantly more than the past few websites we've looked at. you can see most of the customer base here is based in Canada, with around 94. they're in a primarily being female, around 60. we can see they've actually used that information to customize their site a little bit, whereas rather than having men's than women's, it's women's than men's, as more of the traffic does come from women. next let's take a look at endured vintage, a vintage inspired clothing store here that really kind of takes that vintage feel and puts it all over from their website- you can see here in the header- rather than just a white background, and kind of has that older paper texture feel to it. you can see it by the bottom left too in terms of the font. it's also done in their product imagery as it kind of has a filter over it to give that zapier feel. so a little more of older photographs. I think they did a great job here in creating an overall theme for their store that's very cohesive. something interesting do here is, instead of a Blog, they have thoughts and music and so they post here. so if you go into one of them it's just farewell Portland. it's almost like someone wrote a letter to you. it's written in the first person here. so I thought when writing and sharing news I would feel sadness, but I don'.

I've also gone on to tiktok to see how many organic views there are for the product, as that is a leading indicator right now to see success in products. we've even gone to the Facebook ad library to see how many competitors are running ads for each one of these products, because the whole purpose of this video is to give you a list of 10 amazing products for this month, but products that are also not saturated and have massive potential to the upside. now, what I've also done for you guys is I've created a free Google doc sheet that's going to contain all the information for each one of these products, and you're going to be watching me use it throughout this video. and if you want to get access to this- because it's going to have ad copies, thumbnails, links to other stores, it's going to have absolutely everything on there- then we do need to hit 2 000 likes in this video and it'll be in the pin comment and in the description below. so, guys, if you're looking for a great product to start your new year, then you're definitely in the right place. let's get straight into the top 10 list of products. [Music] on today's list is the gesture sensing smart robot. if we look at the AliExpress link, you can see it's almost got 600 orders, 4.8 star reviews on 89 people, meaning that people are happy with the product. now, what this product is? it's a smart robot that is based on gestures from you. so, based on the gesture that you show the robot, it will do a certain movement so you can see here, sidewalk, sidewalk, walk forward intelligence programming so it will do different commands based on the gesture you use with the Smart Control and the gesture hand. now the reason why I love this product so much is because I know there's been other dropshipping products that are gestures sense, like these ones that have blown up and generated multiple seven figures. so if we take a look at the product price and recommendation, I'd recommend this other product for 44.99. it's going to cost you 24.37 and your profit margin is going to be roughly 20. now, with any product that you sell, I'd always recommend that you make around about twenty dollars after you pay for the product cost and the shipping cost, as that will leave you good margins with the product price recommendations that I'm giving you. this is the base standard, meaning that once you see success with these products, you can increase the price over a long period of time. so you could potentially start selling this for 79.99 if people are willing to pay that price for the product. so if we take a look at the product description, it reads: groundbreaking gesture control, tiknology smart robot is the toy. kids go crazy for signing and dancing in response to your actions. it's truly unlike any tour you've seen before. this is the best gift for children or RC Fanatiks. it promotes creativity, fun activity for kids that doesn't revolve around mobile screens. it says features playful robotik, the robotik that will perform dance moves by moving back and forth dance music. you can follow his movements together at any time. and then it says here: educational, multi-use. although mainly used for fun, you can use this robot to respond and create a fun way for your child to learn the basic numbers and grammar and language. and then it gives you an example here: lifelike joints and movements. it has, like life, joints throughout knees, neck, elbow and even fingers so it can dance and jump or move around like a new best friend and impressive thing to witness, even as an adult. so if we take a look at a Shopify dropshipping store selling this product, we're only looking at the store to see what they've done whilst you can add it in your store. so the first thing that I like is the way they've got these bundles. the more you buy, the bigger the discounts. and then they've got here a sales- that's always good to offer a sale. then they've got these giffies. These giffies are really important for a product like this because you're toking about it being a gesture based product. people are going to want to see that in real life. so by showing them giffies like this, by showing them diagrams and explaining how the controller Works, how kids can use it, is really important if you want to get sales now. if we take a look at a Facebook video that's got over 250 000 views, the opening scene shows a kid walking with the robot and then it shows the robot picking things up and it also shows somebody unboxing the product and then it shows them giving the mic to the robot and it starts dancing. and this is really crazy, because when you watch something like this, it's going to make you think, wow, this is impressive, I want one for myself. now, if we take a look at a tiktok video for the product, you can see the opening scene says: this toy robot is awesome, and then it shows the controller that you're using and then it also shows you the gesture while moving your hand forward or backwards makes the robot move forward and backwards, and then they go over. it can walk and dance to the music. so you can see that this is designed in ugc content- POV content from your point of view- and these work really well on tiktok. now, the countries I'd recommend that you target for this product are going to be the e-packet countries, minus Mexico, Brazil in Italy, as I do find that I get a lot of high fraudulent charges from those countries. if you don't do the epocket countries, then I'd recommend the top six, which is the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland, and if you're doing tiktok ads, I'd only recommend that you Target Canada and the US. now the interest I'd recommend for this product is Hot Toys, toys, Gadget Geeks, kids. and then suggested interests. now they're ready to go. ad copy read: smart robot is the toy kids go crazy for signing and dancing. response: your actions: the best gift for children's. and it will reduce screen time. shop here. then it shows the thumbnail of somebody's hand with the gestures showing that the robot is moving based on your commands, and then also shows the controller in the bottom left. now, when it comes to season success with these Drop Shipping products, the advertising pot is the most important part. so when you run ads on tiktok Facebook, you need really good videos and that's why I'm recommending launch ads. launch ads are a group of video editing experts that will deliver really good quality videos in one to three business days and if they don't, then you will get your money back and those videos will be completely free and they will still deliver the videos. and the reason why I'm recommending these guys is because the main benefits are: there's a professional team of video editors, there's a professional team of script writers, there's a professional team of designers and they're going to create, engage in first three seconds and they're also going to get you a really good thumbnail for your videos. and most people that start Drop Shipping really struggle with making really good video ads because they don't know how to edit videos in ways that are going to be really impulsive for people to watch and it can take months and m.
