| 00:03:40 | 00:03:44 | first of all a lot of people who jump |
| 00:03:42 | 00:03:44 | into this industry think that shopify |
| 00:03:44 | 00:03:47 | payments |
| 00:03:44 | 00:03:49 | stripe and paypal are real merchants and |
| 00:03:47 | 00:03:50 | that that's a processor and that's |
| 00:03:49 | 00:03:52 | something you could use long term |
| 00:03:50 | 00:03:53 | and i'll tell you this from experience i |
| 00:03:52 | 00:03:54 | know hundreds of people have been in |
| 00:03:53 | 00:03:55 | this space |
| 00:03:54 | 00:03:57 | i've taught more than that i only know |
| 00:03:55 | 00:03:59 | one person who still to this day |
| 00:03:57 | 00:04:00 | has done tens of millions of dollars of |
| 00:03:59 | 00:04:02 | sales using stripe |
| 00:04:00 | 00:04:04 | okay only one person out of all these |
| 00:04:02 | 00:04:05 | people inside the ecommerce space the |
| 00:04:04 | 00:04:08 | reason for that |
| 00:04:05 | 00:04:10 | stripe and shopify payments they're the |
| 00:04:08 | 00:04:11 | same thing shopify payments is powered |
| 00:04:10 | 00:04:12 | by stripe |
| 00:04:11 | 00:04:14 | they're not a real processor they're |
| 00:04:12 | 00:04:17 | what's known as a payment aggregator |
| 00:04:14 | 00:04:18 | meaning they're basically a middleman of |
| 00:04:17 | 00:04:20 | a middleman |
| 00:04:18 | 00:04:21 | so that's why your account's instantly |
| 00:04:20 | 00:04:23 | approved which is not what would happen |
| 00:04:21 | 00:04:25 | with a real merchant so |
| 00:04:23 | 00:04:26 | the reason why it causes issues it's |
| 00:04:25 | 00:04:29 | unreliable you don't have a personal |
| 00:04:26 | 00:04:31 | contact there you can't really get exact |
| 00:04:29 | 00:04:32 | estimates on stuff you don't know if |
| 00:04:31 | 00:04:33 | there's gonna be a random reserve |
| 00:04:32 | 00:04:34 | slapped on your account tonight while |
| 00:04:33 | 00:04:36 | you're sleeping |
| 00:04:34 | 00:04:38 | so it's very unpredictable and that |
| 00:04:36 | 00:04:39 | inconsistency is never good |
| 00:04:38 | 00:04:41 | okay i'll tell you that from experience |
| 00:04:39 | 00:04:43 | so again it's really important to get a |
| 00:04:41 | 00:04:44 | real merchant once you know your store |
| 00:04:43 | 00:04:45 | is going to be something you're running |

| 00:04:45 | 00:04:48 | for the purpose of consistent reliable |
| 00:04:47 | 00:04:50 | cash flow |
| 00:04:48 | 00:04:52 | better rates better payouts everything |
| 00:04:50 | 00:04:54 | is just real and consistent okay |
| 00:04:52 | 00:04:56 | so it's annoying because every time you |
| 00:04:54 | 00:04:57 | get a real merchant they usually do a |
| 00:04:56 | 00:04:59 | credit pull |
| 00:04:57 | 00:05:01 | now even with merchants that i use where |
| 00:04:59 | 00:05:02 | i've opened two dozen accounts with them |

| 00:05:02 | 00:05:06 | credit if there's been a decent lapse of |
| 00:05:04 | 00:05:08 | time since the last one i got opened |
| 00:05:06 | 00:05:10 | you know so it's similar to like buying |
| 00:05:08 | 00:05:12 | a piece of property if you're not buying |
| 00:05:10 | 00:05:13 | it within 90 days the next one |
| 00:05:12 | 00:05:14 | they're still going to pull your credit |
| 00:05:13 | 00:05:15 | again they just want to verify |
| 00:05:14 | 00:05:16 | everything again very similar with a |
| 00:05:15 | 00:05:17 | real |
| 00:05:16 | 00:05:18 | merchant and that's a good thing because |
| 00:05:17 | 00:05:19 | it means you're getting approved by |
| 00:05:18 | 00:05:21 | someone proper |
| 00:05:19 | 00:05:22 | okay but it gets a little bit annoying |
| 00:05:21 | 00:05:26 | because |
| 00:05:22 | 00:05:27 | i opened 16 mids one time in two weeks |
| 00:05:26 | 00:05:29 | each of them had a credit pull |
| 00:05:27 | 00:05:31 | and i was trying to scale outwards this |
| 00:05:29 | 00:05:33 | is when i had a team of people around me |
| 00:05:31 | 00:05:34 | um you know i'd rented a huge house i |
| 00:05:33 | 00:05:36 | had a bunch of people it kind of it |
| 00:05:34 | 00:05:37 | worked made some money this and that but |
| 00:05:36 | 00:05:39 | like anyways we launched like over 20 |
| 00:05:37 | 00:05:41 | stores it was all within a couple |
| 00:05:39 | 00:05:42 | a couple week time frame i had all these |
| 00:05:41 | 00:05:43 | people working running ads doing all |
| 00:05:42 | 00:05:45 | this stuff it was really cool i was |
| 00:05:43 | 00:05:46 | trying to scale outwards versus just |
| 00:05:45 | 00:05:47 | vertikal which is what i'd been doing |
| 00:05:46 | 00:05:48 | for years |
| 00:05:47 | 00:05:50 | i didn't really think too much about it |
| 00:05:48 | 00:05:51 | but the 16 different mids that each of |
| 00:05:50 | 00:05:52 | those hit my credit i had 16 different |
| 00:05:51 | 00:05:54 | inquiries |
| 00:05:52 | 00:05:56 | it actually really really hurt my credit |
| 00:05:54 | 00:05:57 | which caused it to hurt my real estate |
| 00:05:56 | 00:05:59 | when i was trying to buy some rental |
| 00:05:57 | 00:06:00 | properties because it was just a lot of |
| 00:05:59 | 00:06:01 | inquiries brought the credit score down |
| 00:06:00 | 00:06:02 | a lot |
| 00:06:01 | 00:06:04 | and that actually did cost me money it |
| 00:06:02 | 00:06:06 | cost me a couple points it cost me |
| 00:06:04 | 00:06:07 | probably 0.5 percent of an interest rate |

| 00:06:20 | 00:06:23 | specifically usually you're going to |
| 00:06:22 | 00:06:25 | have a 50 |
| 00:06:23 | 00:06:28 | a day limit then once you break through |
| 00:06:25 | 00:06:30 | that then it's going to be a 250 |
| 00:06:28 | 00:06:31 | a day and i've notiked requests get |
| 00:06:30 | 00:06:33 | denied more and more now so those |
| 00:06:31 | 00:06:34 | breakout periods to be able to break out |
| 00:06:33 | 00:06:36 | above a 250 |
| 00:06:34 | 00:06:37 | a day limit used to take five six days |

| 00:06:37 | 00:06:42 | 10 days to two weeks that's a long |
| 00:06:40 | 00:06:43 | period of time that gets very annoying |
| 00:06:42 | 00:06:45 | because you have to be hitting that |
| 00:06:43 | 00:06:46 | 250-day to have the potential to get it |
| 00:06:45 | 00:06:47 | raised faster |
| 00:06:46 | 00:06:49 | which means usually you're not as |
| 00:06:47 | 00:06:51 | optimized on your spending so |
| 00:06:49 | 00:06:52 | it's weird that uh you know a platform |
| 00:06:51 | 00:06:54 | like that that makes money |
| 00:06:52 | 00:06:56 | because they sell ad space will limit |
| 00:06:54 | 00:06:57 | how much money you can spend |
| 00:06:56 | 00:06:59 | but it is what it is you got to warm it |
| 00:06:57 | 00:06:59 | up and build that relationship with them |

| 00:07:45 | 00:07:47 | each of those were toking about |
| 00:07:46 | 00:07:49 | multiple different ad accounts for each |
| 00:07:47 | 00:07:50 | all the different processors had |
| 00:07:49 | 00:07:51 | multiple different llcs you know |
| 00:07:50 | 00:07:53 | grouping them together |
| 00:07:51 | 00:07:54 | so it's very much so separate certain |
| 00:07:53 | 00:07:57 | things we were using different suppliers |
| 00:07:54 | 00:07:58 | so very separate very diversified but i |
| 00:07:57 | 00:08:00 | did it too much |
| 00:07:58 | 00:08:02 | and then there's the the version where |
| 00:08:00 | 00:08:04 | you're just not diversifying |
| 00:08:02 | 00:08:06 | where you're staying in one vertikal you |
